Funnily enough I was in a Wal-Mart with my brother for some reason.
Anyway we were in that book section etc. When he saw So This Is Ever After on the shelf. In an attempt to antagonize me he was all like “ (points at book) hey [deadname]  look, gay people! “ in his being a little shit voice.
Naturally I picked it up a bit later, read the back cover, then immediately borrowed from my library.
So I can thank my brother for getting me to read this amazing book, I suppose.

Bread is an essential part of Greek culture and is often used in religious ceremonies and holiday traditions. So, without further ado, let's dive into my choices (in no particular order) for the top 15:
1. Tsoureki - Easter Bread Tsoureki is a sweet, braided bread made with eggs, butter, milk, and sugar. It is traditionally eaten during Easter in Greece and is usually decorated with dyed red eggs. This bread has a rich flavour and a soft, fluffy texture, making it perfect for enjoying coffee or tea.
2. Lagana - Clean Monday Bread Lagana is a flatbread eaten on Clean Monday, the first day of Lent in Greece. It is usually made with flour, water, yeast, and salt and is topped with sesame seeds and other herbs. This bread is perfect for dipping in taramasalata or other Greek dips.
3. Koulouri - Although not usually eaten specifically during ceremonies, Koulouri is a popular street food in Greece, typically sold by street vendors. It is a circular bread covered in sesame seeds and often eaten for breakfast or as a snack. This bread is simple but delicious and is perfect for enjoying on the go.
4. Christopsomo - Christmas Bread Christopsomo, which means "Christ's bread," is a sweet bread traditionally eaten during Christmas in Greece. It is made with honey, walnuts, and raisins and is usually shaped like a round loaf. This bread is a delicious way to celebrate the Christmas season with family and friends.
5. Paximadia - Festival Bread Paximadia is a type of Greek biscotti made with flour, sugar, and olive oil. This bread is crispy and crunchy and is perfect for dipping in your favourite hot beverage. It is a staple at festivals and celebrations in Greece and is often served with coffee or tea.
6. Fanouropita - Saint Fanourios Bread Fanouropita is a sweet bread baked in honour of Saint Fanourios, a saint who is said to help people find lost things. It is made with flour, sugar, olive oil, and raisins and is usually topped with powdered sugar. This bread is often given as a gift to friends and family who are searching for something important.
7. Melomakarona - Christmas Cookies Melomakarona are traditional Christmas cookies that are made with honey, cinnamon, and orange zest. They are typically shaped into small, oval-shaped cookies and are often topped with walnuts or almonds. These cookies are a popular holiday treat in Greece and are perfect for sharing with friends and family.
8. Vasilopita - New Year's Bread Vasilopita is a sweet bread baked in honour of Saint Basil, celebrated on January 1st in Greece. It is made with flour, sugar, and butter and is usually topped with powdered sugar. A coin is traditionally hidden inside the bread, and the person who finds it is said to have good luck for the rest of the year.
9. Tyropita - Cheese Bread Tyropita is a savoury cheese bread often eaten as a snack or for breakfast in Greece. It is made with phyllo pastry and various kinds of cheese, such as feta and kasseri. This bread is cheesy and delicious and is perfect for satisfying your hunger.
10. Daktyla - Not strictly a bread, the festival Pastry Daktyla is often served at festivals and celebrations. This pastry is crispy on the outside and sweet and nutty on the inside, making it a perfect treat for any occasion. So usually when I'm scrolling I cant flap my hands/shake them horizontally at the wrist. So ive adapted to whipping my mouse cursor around teh screen reeeeeeaaaallly fast, to get across the “ [x] thing is so screeeeee”e zoom feeling, ya know. But if I'm on mobile I just drag the page up and down really fast. Its kinda of comical but it expresses the emotional in the same way that my hands flaping does so :)
