With furrowed brows you turn from your notes, “Since first year?”

You could be pretty brutal with rejections, which annoyed you when after three years, people didn’t get the hint.

But to be fair, you were a triple threat, crazy smart, mysterious, and you’re beautiful.

And that’s why you were the Ice Queen, brutal with rejections—cold more often than not, and your beauty gave a mysterious air to your vibe.

To make matters worse, Senku was your best friend (who was also brutal with rejection).

So whenever you were together brutality was doubled.

“[Name]! Date me!” a boy nervously bowed, shoving a letter at you.

You raised a brow, “That’s not very original, the last boy did that.”

Senku shared a glance with you, “Creativity really lacks at this school, huh? This is 10 billion percent boring.”

“Really. Trigonometry would be better to waste my time with,” you sighed.

“Um…”

“Is he crying?”

“I should be the one crying, he came up to me out of nowhere with that. I feel attacked.”

The only person who you seemed to be playful around was Senku along with your other two friends at times.

“Is that why you’re rejecting me? Are you with Senku-senpai?”

You tilted your head, “No, neither of us are into the romance thing.”

But really, you were in denial.

Because something had developed, somehow for Senku.

You’d never thought of romance before with anyone.

It scared you, and you knew he was far from your mindset.

So, you pretended it wasn’t there.

Unbeknownst to you, Senku was in the same predicament.

“Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, tearing his gaze from you.

You looked so peaceful as you focused, unaware of the small smile on your face.

He’d never felt like this toward a girl before, he’d always been immune to this feeling.

Yet now, he was staring at you again. And his thoughts were yet again on you instead of his project he was currently working on.

You occupied his mind a lot, especially lately. Like his body decided all his hormones would assault him at full speed suddenly.

He blinked away the thoughts that tried to creep from the corner of his brain he’d shoved them to.

Now, based on general knowledge the both of you knew what it was.

But it was against your logical mindset, you weren’t supposed to have feelings for anyone.

Let alone each other.

And you couldn’t tell the other because you knew they didn’t like romance.

So, there was no way either of you could say anything, not that you knew how to express it anyway.

So, you found yourselves circling around this situation and the tension that began to build.

Then summer was edging closer, you had both planned to go to the same college, but you had another offer that was tempting.

Asked on video-chat one night, “Why do you want to go there all of a sudden?”

You applied face cream to your cheek, “Well, this college offers pretty much all of the same things, only difference is it’d be here in Japan instead of America. So, there wouldn’t be any reason for me to leave. Right?”

That statement echoed in his mind relentlessly for days, it didn’t sit right.

Deep down he knew why, but…he didn’t know if he could tell you.

 

“It’d be weird to not see you every day, though,” you chuckled.

He’d hate that, being limited to video-chat if he wants to see your face.

 

“Me,” he blurted one day.

“Huh? ‘You’, what?”

He looked into your eyes, leaning in,“Your reason to go. You can go for me.”

“Y-you? Why—”

“We both know why, [Name]. It’s ten billion percent pointless to keep dodging it.”

“I…I know. I just—I’m scared…”

“Scared?”

“Well, this is new. And…not logical…emotions are always a scary thing. You don’t have logic to hide behind, you have to be—"

“Human. Yeah, that scares me, too.”

“But…you’re right, we can’t avoid it forever,” you admitted.

The tension became much more apparent as you gazed at each other.

“Senku…”

“[Name]…”

 

You two were like magnets; a sudden pull overcame you.

At first, curious, unsure.

Then as you grew more comfortable, you gained some confidence.

And as scientists, you were definitely fine with asking questions.

“Senku? Is this okay?”

He tossed his head back, before looking down at you, “Yeah, definitely fine.”

And Senku loved to experiment with something he had yet to learn.

“Who would’ve thought the Ice Queen…would be so warm?” he muttered against your back with a smirk.

“Shut—Ah~!”

You saw another side of each other that day.

And you edged close to the end, but couldn’t get that release…

You watched as Senku let out a desperate whimper, something you’d never expected to hear from him.

His cheeks flushed, brows furrowed.

No no i love questions!!!! Hmmm i think probably the first scene that i ever wrote? which was vegas and pete's clash of wills in the red room of the compound or the escape scene when pete fled the safe house. those two feel very vivid to me when i think of all that's happened so far. (there's also another scene that's still to come but i won't spoil that one ;) not yet )

i honestly can't remember lol. all of the chapters have been fun to write! it's one continual story in my head the chapters are more just break off points for the readers tbh

oh that is a good question. weirdly i never get that??? i do occasionally go back and edit spelling mistakes or wonky sentences when i reread but ive actually never experienced that. usually the decisions i make writing often lead to more progression of the narrative or like foreshadowing for the future (often without me even consciously intending it) so the different things i put in there end up tying together with other stuff. kinda like chasing down a rabbit hole that connects to a entire underground warren but somehow manages to lead back to the main tunnel in the end.

no not exactly i wouldnt put it like that. i've been tired or creatively exhausted and ive taken breaks knowing that i need them in order to keep writing (which is mostly what the delay between this and the last chapter was- also all the family christmas stuff and the stress that comes with that, plus i got covid two weeks before xmas, then i got the flu and walking pneumonia again a week after that and then i went on holiday first week of jan hahaha there's just been a lot going on that's left me physically and mentally exhausted lol) But no that hasn't crossed my mind- i don't usually have trouble finishing stories (even ones as insanely long as this) but i do go through inspiration/idea droughts which is when taking a break for a bit can come in handy.

im actually pretty keen to start working on my original work after i finish graveyards. hoping to dedicate some real time to it so i can finally finish off the entire draft and start looking into trying to get it published so fingers crossed!

Well… here we are, I’m actually leaving

I just want to be clear, I love dhmis. The original series, and the pilot, will always have a special place in my heart. I’m still a fan, just not so much of a fan that I would spend like 75% of my life dedicated to a tumblr blog about it anymore.

Maybe it’s just burnout, or the fact that I was so disappointed in the tv series that it finally broke me, or the fact that I started this blog when I was 14 at the beginning of 2016.

I started running this blog when I was 14, and I’m 21 now. For nearly 7 years now. We had some good laughs, I met some people that would change my life, for better or worse. And I could have never imagined that I would gather so many people together like this.

And I really hate to sound ungrateful, but, it still kinda makes me a little sad when people say I’m the dhmis news guy, because this blog was always supposed to be more than that. It was supposed to be ALL of the dhmis fandom. All the art, all the memes, all the conversations. This blog was about you guys! The people who made this fandom even possible! The people who built it from nothing, for everyone now to enjoy. I loved sharing news, but I loved sharing your, and my, creations even more…

I guess being considered the “dhmis news guy” just kinda made me think that I was easily replaceable in the fandom, like… if one day I stopped, someone else would just fill the hole that I was in super easily and no one would really notice I was gone.

I think a lot of people forget that… I’m a person… Creative-Time IS a person… I was a person this whole time… making sure this blog didn’t turn to dust and constantly being ridiculed, mocked, or straight up harassed and sent death threats to the point were I would sometimes cry myself to sleep. But I realized that all that just wasn’t worth the energy, this wasn’t worth the energy.

There’s probably so much more I could say here… I just wouldn’t know where to start. And maybe I’m saying all this super wrong and someone is gonna look through it with a fine-tooth comb and tell everyone that I hate them and tell everyone I’m a horrible person, which perhaps I deserve.

I would like to thank all the people that have actually tried to get to know me, I’m sure you know who you are. You all made running this blog a little bit more happier for me, and I hope you all are happy too, even if we never cross paths again.

I think the only thing that could ever get me back into the fandom and this blog is if there is more dhmis that is actually good, or the pilot get released in HD in some shape or form. Other than that, I think I’m done here…

I won’t be deleting this blog, but I would request no new followers or dms unless it’s the pilot in full hd.

If anyone really wants to ask any follow up questions, please send them to the ask box on my main @cosmicxd but I would like to remind you all, I’m an adult, my friends and mutuals are adults, so if your under the age of 18 I would suggest not following my main because me and my friends are… UNHINGED and we have a whopping ZERO filters. Also, a final update for Mini Mean Steve: Finally found some model magic and Mod Podge glad to say he is finally complete! He will be my most treasured possessions

honestly i think spe!jaide is the bridge to giving a character more development and impact to their personality, she might not be the most crucial to the plot, but she was there to give more depth and characterization to ruby, gold and steven and I can name a few

- ruby: learned how to use pokéblocks because of jaide being good at snacks that are performance enhancers (aprijuice)

- gold: the aprijuice being used in pokéathalon (that one is minor but shh) and the impact of gold's internal turmoil of his insecurties being given more weight because jaide is there

- steven: this is manga spoilers territory. okay good? we good?

'kay. anyways in rs arc he was evidently more serious and incredibly busy. handed the champion role to wallace and had a little more strained relationship with ruby (oops new lore) but after he fucking DIED he realized that he was so clouded in being the hero for the entire population (see: team magma and aqua situation) that he risked his life for almost nothing and that it's okay to not be the hero all the time, being the hero for his family is good enough and that his son is also very smart with that CELEBI MOVE. which explains his more carefree personality in oras arc. he's prioritizing his family more now (e.g training mumu while ruby is away, holding ruby's secret from sapphire) BOOM. MIC DROP. BOWS DOWN

Okay so, I'm assuming you're on pc too. If not, then tell me and I'll search around for ps or xbox deals and price history.

I recommend getting the legendary edition! It's three whole games and their dlc in one pack. It's original price is 60$ but during sale it goes down to 6$ which is a steal honestly, the game is phenomenal so far as an rpg and shooter.

And there is romance in it too! The characters are reoccurring and you can import your save from the first game to the second and third so the people and quests will be shaped to fit your story and choices in the previous game.

The last time it went on sale was during steam winter feast, and based on it's history it goes on sale on the 19th of January too! So maybe very soon, hopefully. If not, then there is also lunar New years on 27th of January.

Based on this chart, it's been going on sale very often, and the price keeps getting lower. So hopefully you'll get it even cheaper than I did. God knows I'd rather choke on acid than pay 60$ for a game. We don't count bg3 that was...a once a year purchase for my birthday.

I'm also new to this game! I've been playing it for the past week, and so, and oh my god, it stole all of my attention and heart. The fandom isn't...friendly, and it's mostly 35y+ people, so the fanfics are old-school millennial style.

The game does have some queer representation, which is nice. Even tho the first game is very old.

It's very easy, difficulty wise, and I am someone who sucks at shooter games. I've beaten far cry 4 with a bow. I can help you with anything you have questions about or need guidance for!

i think because "things i'm inspired to create by" and "things i love and crave/seek out fanwork for" have always been a 1:1 relationship, but this time... well, there's no fanwork for My Original Characters and also the creative drive comes completely independent of fandom?

IT'S EXTREMELY ODD I'M NOT USED TO IT i'm definitely content with it, i like still being able to enjoy and revel in a fandom even if i find the fixation creation brain has jumped elsewhere, i'm just so not used to those two drives being separate

No bc like,,,,,,, what a way to like. Put TCT into one little piece and all wrapped up with a bow. Putting Conductor and Grooves at peace (without putting them DOWN) even though they know there's a long road ahead of them after everything. Going with the ORIGINAL Necktie. Not having it end with some ambiguous, threatening line but instead with more implication that they'll live and heal together. After EVERYTHING. And while not every TCT fic has exactly been part of the same storyline (gone, hih!au, :), snmtbt..) just the fact that like. They've been part of TCT and been referenced in Fresh Air, it really does feel like so, so so much more happened than just the fics in Necktie's storyline.

And honestly though it was short is was so so sweet. I kinda like the think the short and simplicity of it is what wraps it up well. Because after the MESS of everything before, the vivid descriptions, the long dialogues, the fact that it only mentions things in smaller detail and there's no dialogue is just like........... yknow. Bc that's what it feels like. After reading descriptions of blood, and asphyxiation, and gross sobbing and how many things went through the characters heads, only being in the Now of the fic was. A deep breath of Fresh Air.

And it's brilliant how I was right there on that bench with them, bc while ofc this could entirely just be me being insane, I felt my fucking heart beating bro. I KNOW that it's so short and simple but i really do be feeling every breath and thought in my head about everything else that happened. But at the same time. We weren't there anymore. And that HFHJFHDHFICHRIWAIDJ yknow

The entire ride to the stage was pretty quiet. Everyone to focused on their talents and hoping their planning the day before was good enough to get a fan votes to stay. Bow Wow greeted us when we were moved off the bus and into a building. The place was dark, the only light coming from a large stage with a pulsating x on it. In front of the stage was a few rows of seating for an audience as well as a table for what I assumed was judges. He stood on the stage with a big smile. We all had our hands full, each hold costumes, props or anything we needed for our performance which made him laugh.

"You all look like your ready to put on a great show." He said and we all enthusiastically - yet nervously - replied. "Okay so I want to tell you all a few things. This challenge is for you to prove to the fans back at home that you are not here for nothing and you all are serious about your futures in the business. The people with the lowest fan votes and score will be up for elimination."

"Score?" William asked.

"Thats my second point. You all will be judge today based on your a few parameters. Skill and Technique, which means how goof you are at the talent you chose to show us. Two, Stage Presence: This is all about your ability to command the stage and make us give you our full attention. Creativity and Originality basically whether the performance has unique and innovative elements that set it apart from others. Artistry: why you chose this particular thing and its about us feeling your connection to it. Entertainment Value is this enjoyable for us. Timing and Pacing Looking at the flow and timing of the performance we don't want it to drag on. Overall Impression Considering the overall impact and memorability of the performance. and finally" He placed his hands on his chest. "I will not be judging you, instead I would like you to meet your judges." He turned and we cheered as the bright face of Kelly Clarkson came on stage and waved at us. "She got her start like some of you will, on a reality show. Please Wellcome grammy award winning singer, winner of American idol and all around lovely person Kelly Clarkson."

"Hi guys!" She smiled wide "I know what you guys are feeling, I was in your shoes once too and I cannot wait to see what you all can do."

"Our second judge has been running is own comedy show for a while now, but is also a former child star as well as married to the gorgeous Mariah Carey, Nick Canon!" He came on stage waving his hand.

"I really can't wait to see all of this. I have been watching the show and I'm not going to lie I am hooked! so I am ready!"

"And last but not least our third judge is a model, actress and all around beauty Megan Fox!"

She walks on stage and Ian whistles. She laughs "Thank you everyone. Just know that I am so excited to see everyone really shine today!"

Entry 1.6.4-4 - The Horse Circle of Hell

Still no luck in getting a donkey herd to spawn, BUT i did stumble onto a family of inky horses, so that's cool. idk if it's just my shitty laptop (i swear for 1.7 i'm returning to desktop, the random lag spikes are obnoxious i just need to finish unpacking my desk ;; ) but horse AI is fucking weird. the one on the far left with socks decided it wanted to break free from the lead while I wasn't looking and fucking book it for the desert, I have no idea what made it do that. The other horses were pretty chill, kinda difficult to get them into their pens but ????

I want to name all of the horses, but am a bit creatively bankrupt atm. Maybe for 1.7 when I can start fishing for nametags I'll get everyone properly named.

I'm also now going to have to rethink my stables, they're already full. idk why I expected to immediately just find donkeys and not more horses, I don't think I want to tame any others right now, may just have to kill them like i've been killing anything else that spawns. Hunting on limited plains is annoying.

In the meantime, to keep myself from going insane, I've been getting more work done around the village, plus demolishing the old villager housing because it's,,,, ugly

I also made this little market near the main fountain :D I named one shop so far, I think it'd be fun to have named villagers, gives more attachment (and makes raids more stressful when they happen) PLUS i'll actually be notified if one of them dies.

butcher/smoker/cook villager is going to have two stalls and I want to make a main restaurant with my pigs housed there. idk if that'll be this update, i'm just intermittently building or finishing builds like the thing in the distance there

yeah this thing. my thought it to make it a sort of port entry point, but the inside isn't really furnished yet. I want to have a cleric/librarian work there - i realize i'm planning for things like 7 updates from now but hey. i don't want to have to keep tearing things down. I want these original buildings to remain relatively untouched (with the exception of updating available patterns/wood types/signage/lighting)

I also got my beacon functioning (turns out i was missing a couple of corner pieces - oops) and grinded for a while to put together this pick, bow (power IV inf flame), and axe (fortune II eff IV)

I chose speed for my beacon over haste since it's more useful to me - i might build separate beacons for other effects I want later. I have a couple of location ideas.

i guess i'll be spending another week in 1.6, which is unfortunate since there are so many features i'm excited to get to play with (afk fishing) and also future updates (1.9 mending my beloved) but alas here I remain.

I need to finish the cow barn before I show it off so maybe I'll focus on that in between my slaughtering grinds. Plus I have a couple of other builds in mind

The 80s show didn't really care about the Horde characters now that I think of it when it came to screen time and development. It was a heavily Adora-Bow-Glimmer And Friends show.

In the Horde, Hordak and SW had the most appearances by far, but their minions, from Catra to Mantenna were mainly 1 dimensional funny inconveniences. Entrapta was the only one in the Horde who wasn't an animal-person, monster or robot, but she appeared like. A couple of times. She was mean and with a superiority complex. Like Scorpia and Catra. Who hated and antagonized each other so much that their plans would fail due to not getting along. Catra like everyone else doesn't know that Adora is She-Ra, but she has a beef with Adora not because she left them but because she has Sea Hawk as a boyfriend and SHE wants him for herself. Also in the comics because Adora is the prettiest woman in Etheria and she wants to be the prettiest. In the comics she wants Bow instead of Sea Hawk but she also hates Adora because she's the one with Bow (Hence why her toy trademark says Jealous Beauty)

Genshin Characters as the Major Arcana

Gentle Reminder: I just based this on a surface knowledge I have about the Arcana from my fave game Persona 3^^ As such, I paired the characters to the arcana with the help of my sis bcos there were some characters that I don’t know much about~ And again this is just fanart :))

Fool: Obviously i was gonna pick the twins since they’re the main characters ksks but other than that- it has to be them because they’re special in a way like they can wield different elements. Zero is an empty number but with vast possibilities.

Magician: It was supposed to be Albedo at first- but persona says magician speaks about immaturity and power. And those two words just fit Klee so much in a good way!! Although-- Klee was supposed to be fortune too but i stuck with magician

Priestess: A woman of wisdom- Ganyu. that’s it haha I was supposed to add Ayaka too but she doesn’t have an official art yet :(

Empress: Lmao do i have to explain why i chose Jean and Ningguang

Emperor: No questions asked- Zhongli is an emperor bow. I didn’t have second thought choosing him lmao

Hierophant: So this one here symbolizes education, authority, and something about divinity and understanding the world. I chose Albedo because as an alchemist he took it upon himself to uncover the truth of the world~

Lovers: EHE no explanation needed~

Chariot: We’ve got victory, self-confidence and command!! I dont think i should explain this that much bcos Diluc is pretty straight forward haha My sister said I should Amber here too and I was about to but didn’t put her here Chariot also means war and Amber is not a war person for me

Justice: I chose xinqiu bcos of his display of justice in his story quest :))

Hermit: This means self-honesty and forging your own path- pretty fitting for Mona and Fischl right? As for Beidou, “why is a pirate a hermit?” Yeah that’s what i asked too when my sister said Beidou should be a Hermit. It makes sense tho- Beidou is a pirate and pirates stay on the sea and far from land and land is where civilization is

Fortune: Qiqi is basically the Preserves of Fortune ^^ As for Bennet, why is our unlucky boi in Fortune? Im soft for Bennet okay I just want to give him more luck and fortune on his way T-T Bennet was supposed to be hanged man but no- My sis said hanged man bcos everything Bennet does might result to more injury and eventually death. So--- NO

Strength: Pretty self-explanatory ^^

Hanged Man: Originally was supposed to be Hu Tao but again- no official art sigh So I chose Chongyun (was supposed to be fortune) This arcana means to take the time necessary for self-reflection and this fits our exorcist bcos he really reflected on how exterminate spirits without the use of his positivity- he wanted to stand by the traditional ways of an exorcist bcos ppl doubt his status as exorcist- yes, reflection for self-improvement

Death: Mr-Bane-of-all-Evil obviously (im so sorry xiao) (I was thinking adding qiqi but thats too cruel for my heart)

Temperance: Balance, synthesis, and harmony- all those for our best girl Sucrose

Devil: Childe- because he was mean in the golden house. Yes he seems to be a good guy but his eyes speak otherwise and i kudos mihoyo for that bcos when i was staring at his eyes in his official art- Dude those eye are empty- you cant read whats he thinking and it bring a sense of mistrust and malice in my way--- Even if I already did his story quest with Teucer that malice is still there for me Fun fact: Lumine was supposed to be the Devil bcos canon-villain but meh still a Fool for her

Tower: Pride and arrogance- a symbol for bad omens (im sorry kaeya) I dont know... something about Kaeya’s aura just tells me somthing bad will happen to him considering his origin- be it bcos of his pride or other things, Kaeya sends me red flags sometimes

Star: A hope in the dark. Barbara is self-explanatory and Diona is a personal experience ahaha- my first time fighting a ruin guard gone wrong and diona saved my ass ksks

Moon: Creativity, inspiration, dreams, and fantasy- all of these which Venti personifies as a bard and the Archon of Song

Sun: Xiangling and Amber brings joy to everyone and anyone, making them the sun

Judgment: I had difficulty picking for this arcana- but it all came down to Keqing. Keqing is a very serious person. She basically personifies logic and rationality- Whenever she declares that the time of the adepti are over- I know she speaks this without baseless judgment as she observes the progress of liyue and humanity in general

World: Dainsleif knows everything and anything and i was kinda spooked out by that in his story quest

1,557,760 holy shit I’ve written over a million words 😵

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?

On AO3, not counting the universes I’ve written fusions with, there are seven: Les Mis, Roswell New Mexico, Merlin, MCU, Young Avengers, X-Men, and Vikings.

On ff.net, nine more: Teen Titans, Xiaolin Showdown, Transformers, Naruto, Narnia, Hellboy, Artemis Fowl, Lord of the Flies, and Skins.

Some fics are on both, but when I moved to AO3 I mostly left the ones I didn’t think were good enough to expose to a new audience. And gone from the internet forever (probably) is the Maximum Ride fanfic I wrote and posted to a forum back in the day. RIP that fic.

5. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

If there’s a rocket, tie me to it is one of the first Les Mis fics I wrote, and it’s uhhhh very canon in that everyone dies. In my head it was kind of a partner fic to <a pattern in the system> A Bullet In The Gun, which was also a dystopia fic, but that one had a happy ending, and I wanted to go again and have the canon ending for Les Amis. And I think that might have been the last unhappy ending I ever wrote? I like happier endings way better!

6. What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Basically all of them have happy endings, especially the long ones that actually have plots! But I’m going to pick Finding You, because I skidded canon to the left to force events into happiness before tragedy could ever strike, and spun that out into a nice long roadtrip with lots of happiness and love and friendship, ending on a great big optimistic note that everyone’s future would be just as happy and unstruck by tragedy. I reread chunks of this fic all the time for the good vibes.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you've written?

I’ve written a bunch of fusions, but I think the only one that actually counts as a crossover is Fighting the Hurricane, which is a Les Mis/Pacific Rim fic. I’m not sure if my Les Mis/Oglaf fic is a crossover or a fusion, but it’s definitely the craziest one I’ve written just because Oglaf itself is so off the wall - Sharpshooter.

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I looooooove writing smut, of all kinds. I’ve written a lot of bdsm smut in particular for Les Mis, and weirdly almost none for RNM, idk what that’s about.

9. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I usually do these days, though on multi-chap fics if I’m posting a chapter a day or similarly quickly, I’ll wait and reply only the last chapter. I didn’t used to reply to comments at all unless they were particularly stand-out or asked a question, which was following the example of other writers, more than anything else. I also had the notion that people do sometimes use the number of comments on a fic as a metric to judge whether to give it a go or not, and replies massively skew that count.

I reply now, or try to. Um, confused widgeon, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry I haven’t replied to your comments from July 2020 yet. They were too nice and I got overwhelmed. One day I’ll get to them!

10. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Lol yes, I was weirdly pleased and immediately deleted it.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I’ve had a couple of people ask about it before, but idk if it went anywhere.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I co-wrote very bad Transformers fic with my best friend in secondary school and we had a great time. Shout out @scythling! Since then though, no. I’m too precious over creative control, I think, and I quite like writing in a vacuum.

14. What's your all time favourite ship to write for?

Of all time is tricky. Enjolras/Grantaire will have to take the trophy though, I think. They’re iconic!

15. What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

I have a bunch I’ve abandoned and accepted that I’ve abandoned, too many to list, so I’m not counting those because I know I’m never finishing them. Of the ones that are still in my WIP folders...there are also too many to list, but only a handful I’d be sad about never coming back to. I think the main one is probably Underground Dreaming, which would be very difficult to finish for multiple reasons, the main one being that I always envisioned it as open-ended. But I am sad that I stalled out on posting more than a few fics in that series. Too much research can kill the muse!

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue and spooky atmospheres. Love me a spooky atmosphere.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I use ‘grinned’ way too much. Dialogue tags in general, but ‘grinned’ in particular. And I’ve developed a real problem with length, where I’ve become almost incapable of writing short fic. Which isn’t necessarily bad, exactly - length is needed for some of the stories I want to tell, but being concise isn’t something that comes naturally to me anymore.

18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Language barriers are one of my favourite things to write, actually, but because I’m very much not fluent in anything but English, I shy away from putting in actual words from other languages. I’d much rather have a whole exchange or speech in another language actually written all in English, with the difference indicated either by outright saying the character/s are speaking in another language or by altering the grammar and sentence structure.

19. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Either Teen Titans or Xiaolin Showdown.

20. What's your favourite fic you've written?

Shadow Work is something I’m going to be proud of till I die, probably.
