BRUH it's totally fine to not match up completely, but you knocked it out of the park anyway. The fun of seeing translation is exactly that every language has its own quirks and meaning, there is no 'perfect' reflection.

He keeps them on a shelf with other bones he finds in the woods. They’re a good personal record for him, some years are smaller than others and the wear shows a history. One pair is splintered from a bad fight he had with Dew before they patched things up. (The year prior his actually came off during a fight where he locked horns with Dew).

Most embarrassing moment for him was when a sibling found the pair before him and he had to go like “hey uh… those are mine can I have them back?” And the sibling doesn’t know how to respond to an 8ft tall cryptid thing in the woods extending a hand out for his horns back.

He bonks his head on things when they’re about to shed. It’s like an itch he just has to wait out. Do not make this dude wear his helmet during that period or glamor them.

It doesn’t hurt per se, but deer do bleed after shedding. He doesn’t even notice that there’s blood in his hair until Phantom says something, everyone else is used to it already.
