I really love the theory or the interpretation that Mike is well aware of his feelings for Will, I don’t know since when, I’d imagine since around season 2 or 3, and he just thinks his feelings are unrequited so he tries so hard to project them onto El thus leading to him pushing Will away in season 3 because it hurts to love him so much. Then in the rain that would be him projecting because he thinks Will is the “normal” one, he accepts it by the end of the season but shoves it all back down when El kisses him at the end. Between season 3 and 4 he calls Will wanting to hear him, only writing a few times, but Will doesn’t call and he can’t reach them so he assumes that Will doesn’t want to hear from him, and thinks he’s crushing on girls due to El’s letters. At the airport he’s shocked and has to hold himself back from hugging him since he doesn’t want to be “weird”. They’re taking their frustrations and miscommunications out on each other but they’re finally okay, until the van with Will’s painting and Mike thinks he understands, Will loves him too, until in the pizza freezer he thinks he got it all wrong so he pushes it away and continues this lie he’s built to protect himself. Season 5 starting with them all hurting in a sea of miscommunication and their surrounding circumstances.

Idk why, but I have this S5 headcanon of Byler having some emotional climax, maybe in the UD, and then waking up in this lush and verdant paradise.

Like a version of the UD that's green with gold light streaming in from above the trees, where all the demo-creatures are just big flowers and the bats are like, butterflies or something. Instead of a nuclear winter- blue wasteland with mutated creatures, it's a peaceful place full of non-irradiated vegetation.

(yes, this is partially because of Byler blue + yellow and together they are the key, but also I just think it'd be so nice to see them off in their own little world for a minute where everything is safe and beautiful)

Guys- I wanna know, are there any fics where Will has an obsessive/possessive/jealous boyfriend where his BF is clearly obsessed over Will and thinks that Mike and Will are a thing and that makes him suffer more for Will (even though our baby boy isn't doing anything wrong) and then the BF locks Will up in his house or somethin and Mike tries to save Will, Mike doesn't care if he gets hurt or even worse because all he cares about is protecting the love of his life, and a scene where Mike and the BF fight over Will's love or something, the BF's obsession over Will becomes more worse and bigger as he starts to become a murderer, trying to prevent anyone who gets close to Will, even his own family but Mike won't give up on Will ever , God I know I went on a whole rant about this but I neeeed a fic like this one, 💛💙💛💙💛💙💛💙
