To all the faces I've given to my anger

It gets better. I promise.

I'm doing fine right now, don't worry; this is just one of those drawings that you get the idea for at three in the morning and that won't leave you until you draw them.

From basically the day I started creating my own characters, a notable portion of my OCs have fit the very narrow archetype of "short and angry". It took me a few years to realize there's a very good reason for that.

I've gotten better, I don't define myself by my anger anymore, and I'm learning not to leap to it as a first defense all the time. But the idea of anger still means a lot to me, unfortunately; it's still a big part of the person I used to be, and it will always be a part of the person I am. So this is a thank you to all the faces I've given to my anger when I couldn't express it myself. Thank you for being an outlet. I'm sorry for forcing you into that role. I am happy I am not you anymore.

(Hands you a little guy) My next OC for New Normal, Avery! Alice finds him in the woods and offers to let him live with her after hearing about his strange situation. He accepts, seeing an opportunity for a fresh start.
