My notes taken while reasearching the Zelda Timeline lol, mostly cannon a little headcannon in places. Also my Zelink rating aren't how much I like them it's how likely they are in the narrative.
Power: Din ->Demise->Ganondorf. The Gerudo give birth to a male every 100 years, and it's only ever been Ganon. The 100 year system got screwed though because Ganon keeps not actually dying. Pigs. Fire. Red.
Courage: Farore-> heros spirit (fierce diety?)-> Link. Only the hero's spirit is reincarnated in Link, so he's not the same person. Not related at all, except for Twilight Princess where Link is a descendant of Ocarina of Time Link. Wolves and horses. Lighting. Green.
Wisdom: Naydra -> Hylia-> Zelda. Every Zelda is actually Hylia reincarnated through a consistant bloodline. Loftwing. Ice. Blue.
-The three goddess create the earth and the triforce, and that's their only relation to Demise, Hylia, and the heros spirit. They're not reincarnations at all, more like patrons. (Unwillingly in Dins case). Din created the land, Farore created life, and Nayru created order.
-possibly Zonai and Sonia and Rauru founding the first kingdom of Hyrule. This would imply there is a Ganon unconnected to Demise sealed for the rest of everything and a dragon Zelda floating around. Rauru and Sonias light and time magic start off the royal family.
-a long undisclosed time with robots for some reason
-A battle between the Hylia, Demise and the races in Hyrule breaks out over the Triforce. Hylia takes the Hylian kingdom into the sky to protect them, then becomes a Hylian to protect the triforce. She also created a sword with a spirit named Fi with her godly power. With Demise sealed for now, she waits to be born.
-Sheikah are probably started around here, as like a Hylia cult.
-First incartion is Skyward Sword, when Hylia chooses to be born as Zelda and chooses Link as her champion to hold the heros spirit. They fight Demise who then curses them to reincarnate forever, and establishes his own incarnation, kicking off the rest of the series. Hylia, now Zelda, is shown to use her time powers. Link, Zelda, and a few Hylians from Skyloft restart the kingdom on the surface.
Link and Zelda are in love, Zelda chosing Link specifically for that reason. This could imply that Hylia and the heros spirit are soulmates in some way, and every incarnarion after is an extension of that. They don't end up together every time, but that makes it even more beautiful and heartrenching. (Just to specify, Links aren't related so don't worry about it) 10/10 Zelink potential this shit is cannon.
Kikwi present. Impa is there as part of the Shiekah. Impa seems to be either a repeated name or a title given to Shiekah warriors meant to protect the reincarnation of Hylia, not their own incarnation.
-another very long time gap
-evil sorcerors are after the triforce which is hidden in the sacred realm. A new temple of time (after the one in Hylias time used to hide the sealed Demise and Zelda) is built around the master sword, which has been holding in Demise this whole time.
-Another long time passes. Zelda's descendants have become the royal family. Princesses are named Zelda after the original incarnation (note, they aren't all reincarnations, just named after her). There is still a lot of magic floating around the bloodline.
-sheikah are sworn to Hylias blood and therefore the royal family.
-Hyrule is again in danger, a special species called the Minish come from the sky to protect them with a special sword, which was then wielded by an incarnation of Link.
-a bitch named Vaati wants light powers, turns the current Zelda (actually an incarnation, you know because there's a hero) to stone, and that times Link turns the Minish's sword into the 4-sword. Zelda is the light power source, as the light power is still in the royal family. 8/10 Zelink potential
Gorons present
-Another time skip
- the four-sword is used to defeat Vaati again by another Link and Zelda incarnation. 6/10 Zelink potential
- time skip
- Giant ass civil war
- shiekah go into hiding but are still used by the royal family for sketchy shit. (Queue shadow temple 'nam flash backs)
- the first actual Ganondorf is born, or the second depending on if the Zonai are before or after.
- Ganondorf is born as king of the gerudo, and pretends to be allied with the king to gain access to the triforce which is still in the sacred realm, sealed with the master sword. This Link incarnation pulls out the master sword as a child and opens the sacred realm, allowing Ganandorf access to the Triforce, the triforce of power attaching itself to him forever. This also gave Link the triforce of Courage and Zelda the triforce of wisdom. The sacred realm becomes evil and Ganondorf is sealed in it. There's a lot of time travel and it ruins just everything.
Zora, Kokiri, Gerudo, and Gorons present.
Great deku tree dies and is reborn.
and now shit hits the fan
Fallen hero time line
- Link freaking dies and Ganondorf wins, taking the while triforce for himself. He still gets sealed in the corrupted sacred realm, but now he has the triforce. 0/10 Zelink potential long term, as Link is dead, but like 8/10 short term.
- time passes and homies keep going into the sacred realm to get the triforce but they never come back and monsters keep coming out. The sealed it again, at great cost of life and resources
- Agahim, some bitch, takes over the kingdom and the remaining sages to break the seal on Ganon. This reincarnarion of Zelda magically contacts the new Link. He kills Ganon and uses his newly acquired triforce to put everything back to normal. Now the royal family has the triforce. 7/10 Zelink potential. Same Link then has Links awakening acid trip. I'd knock down the Zelink potential but Malin like isn't real so.
Zora present
- same Link then has another acid trip but this time it's real, ending with Ganon being brought back to life as a mindless force of chaos. Ups Zelink to like 8/10, and confirms existence of other kingdoms beside Hyrule that aren't in another dimension.
- triforce splits again somehow, power returns to beast Ganon
- time skip
- new Link, new sages, Lorule exists so that's fun, opposite Hyrule dimension without a triforce. Ganon is freed and eats a man probably. Confirms this Link and Zelda have their respective triforces. Upon returning to Hyrule, the triforce is again in 1 piece and peace is restored to Hyrule and Lorule. 8/10 Zelink potential and like 9.5/10 Hildio potential.
- same Link goes to Hytopia, yet another kingdom in the same dimension.
- time skip. Great time, royal family again has the United triforce.
- King breaks up the triforce and sends Courage to the next Link incarnation, hiding its physical location from all except his daughter Zelda. New King puts that Zelda under a sleeping spell and regrets it. Tries to rule with just power of Wisdom but it doesn't go great.
- time skip
- same Ganon steals the triforce of power, new Zelda and Impa. New Link, without triforce of Courage, again postponed Ganon
- same Link is helping Hyrule not burn down, when suddenly he is given the triforce of Courage mark. He wakes up the old Zelda. I'd say the Zelda born in his time is the actual incarnarion, the older Zelda just a princess. 9/10 Zelink actually but like also he's a little weird with old Zelda to little odd but okay.
Child timeline
- Link defeats Ganondorf and is sent back in time to relive the childhood he didn't have. He warns the royal family before Ganondorf can gain any power and therefore the events of Ocarina of Time never happen. Link leaves on a horse to look for Navi and has a Majoras mask acid trip. 10/10 short term Zelink and like 2/10 longterm, but also one of my favorite dynamics. This is one of the tragedy timeliness, where Zelda loved him before sending him back in time (Sheik was a simp). He could have ended up with this Zelda, but he probably didn't because his descendant in the next game isn't royalty like at all. Scrodingers Zelink, if the next Zelink happened then this one didn't, but we don't know if it does.
-Ganondorf is banished to the Twilight realm, where the wizard sent there a Hella long time ago got busy. He gains power with a guy named Zant who takes over the Twilight realm and breaks out to Hyrule. The princess of the Twilight realm named Midna finds the new Link incarnation, an actual descendant of the last one and holder of the triforce of Courage.
Link is trained by the like ghost of the hero of time, who is an adult and missing an eye. The hero of time means nothing to this Hyrule because Ocarina of Time never happened.
They kill Ganondorf finally holy shit and the Twilight mirror is shattered, forever separating the two places.
Like 8/10 Zelink potential, frick Illia freaking hate her. I follow that Zelink both had a crush on Midna but she's gone sooooo
Gerudo, Gorons, and Zora.
-big ass time skip
-new Ganondorf is born finally, but is like immediately sealed with the 4-sword by a new Link. I don't think there even is a Zelda so 0/10 Zelink potential
Adult timeline
-this is what's left when Link gets sent back in time. Ganondorf is sealed in the corrupted spirit realm and the triforce of Courage shatters into 8 pieces, master sword is returned to the temple of time. 10/10 horribly tragic Zelink poor Zelda good lord.
-time passes without any reincarnations.
-Ganon escapes his seal in the sacred realm but there's still no Link or so Hyrule is effed. The gods flood Hyrule, society continues on mountaintops that are now islands and Hyrule is frozen underneath a giant ocean. The Triforce of Wisdom is split in two between Zelda, who stays on land, and her father, in the frozen Hyrule.
-Time passes badly
-Gannon escapes to the surface and kidnaps "girls with pointed ears", or descendants of Hylia. A new Link appears and gets the master sword from the frozen Hyrule, but it doesn't do shit until he fixes the triforce of courage. The king appears and bestows Links pirate captain the other half of the triforce, as she's reveled to be this time's Zelda. The triforce is restored and the old Hyrule gets genocided. Ganon is sealed, not dead, and Link and Zelda/Tetra go to establish a new hyrule. 10/10 Zelink potential this is some good shit. Rito, Kokiri, and Gerudo present
-same Link and Zelda have a bit on their quest, no lasting consequences except for 11/10 Zelink potential. They discover New Hyrule.
-some train shit in New Hyrule, new Link and Zelda have a soft romantic adventure with no lasting consequences except no more trains. 10/10 Zelink it's the whole plot.
Gorons present
After or before
-all the three timelines get just apocalyptic and society is just like gone, so the Zonai come from the Heaven's and with their arrival comes the merging of the three timelines.
-OR potentially Rauru and Sonias time is actually before Skyward Sword, as Ganondorf isn't actually a reincarnation. This would imply that every other game happens inbetween Rauru and Sonias time and Breath of the Wild, which i like better but it makes some leaps in logic, however it also explains the existence of both time and Light magic in the royal blood line.
-time passes
-Hyrule is once again reformed OR formed for the first time, by the last of the Zonai, Raruru and his Hylian wife Sonia. The incarnations are still going strong, so Ganondorf is born but their kind of hosed because there isn't a Link or Zelda OR the incarnations havent started yet and this is the first Ganon, before he was tied to Demise.
Luckily, either way, a Zelda comes from the future, and after a battle ending in the death of Sonia, Rauru uses himself to seal Ganondorf away and Zelda turns into a dragon.
-Time passes, the kingdom grows and hyrule castle is built over Ganondorf.
-Time passes and either all the other games happen or nothing happens, either way Zelda is still a dragon.
Definitely after
-a Link and Zelda are reincarnated to fight Calamity Gannon, whatever is left of the monster Ganon that was never killed in the other timelines. They, with the highly technogically advanced Shiekah, build weapons and postpone his return. We don't know much but like 8/10 Zelink I don't know could be cool. Shiekah go off, creating shrines and all types of shit.
-abreak off of the shiekah called the Yiga form, which is like the shiekah but for Ganon instead of Hylia.
-a new Link and Zelda are born. They are so far ahead that they no longer have a grasp on the incarnations before them besides a few sparce legends. They know Ganon is coming back but they don't know who he is. They know Zelda is suppose to have powers, but they have no idea how she's gets them. Link finds the master sword in the lost woods, guarded by the great deku (the 2nd actually the first one died somewhere).
So they fail, whoops. Link dies and gets put in a Sheikah shrine for healing while Zelda holds of Ganon for 100 years.
-hyrule collapses and turns into almost a tribal society very unconnected.
-Link wakes up, wrecks havoc, and defeats Calamity Ganon, freeing Zelda and starting the reconstruction of hyrule.
10/10 Zelink potential. We got the before when Zelda cononicly loved him but we don't know Links feeling, and then Link might remember her and its like a reuniting thing and it's lovely or he doesn't and they fall in love again. Or possibly he didn't love her before and either way its a saga and his rubber band was in her study in "her" house thats all I'm saying.
-7 years, hyrule is being rebuilt by Zelda.
-A sickness is spreading through Hyrule, Zelda and Link go to investigate and find what's left of the Ganondorf Rauru fought, who is either the first ganondorf or the most recent one. Zelda is sent in the past to Sonia and Rauru, along with the destroyed master sword.
Zelda is turned into a dragon and lives out thousands of years as one, potentially during every other game in the series. If so, the cloud layer established by Hylia was probably around until the upheavel, hiding her.
-The Upheavel happens and the world gets a little more cracked out, but Link defeats the Ganondorf and Zelda is turned back to her Hylian form. 11/10 Zelink potential and the dragon bit is so upsetting.
The three goddesses are present as dragons. Are they dragons? Are they just manifestations of their power? Idek but it's sick.
What the hell is Beedle? I read a fanfic once that he never dies because he helped Hylia once and it was really good so I highkey stand by that.
Sages kinda hop around, usually there's 7, one for each major group, even though not every race exists in every game. Are they extensions of the gods somehow?
(Rito, Zora, Gerudo, Gorons, Hylians, Shiekah, and whatever weird shit they got going on that game usually just Zelda)
One main issue with the Zonai before theory is that there's all the races when the Rito specifically doesn't seem to exist outside of the adult timeline.
There is a possible Kikwi, Kokiri, Korok pipeline.
I prescribe to the fierce deity as the original hero incarnation because it's just fits well and I'm obsessed with him, but it it doesn't really matter either way. I also read a fanfic once where the Fierce Deity loved Hylia and fought with her against Demise, but he died and the hero's spirit in each Link is what's left of him. Also read one where he saved Farore once from Demise and that's why he's specifically blessed with courage. Might have been the same one. I cannot remember it is 5:30 am and I haven't slept yet.
Ears are cool and plot relevant. The closer they are the Hylia the pointier their ears are, they get less pointy over time. Which adds to the Zonai being before because they got the pointiest ears. Also Gerudo ears get more pointy as time goes on.
Din gerudo pipeline? That's interesting. Farore and Nayru don't really have anything like that. Hylia has the Hylians but that's it.
Great Deku tree? Who? How? Why is he still kicking? Kind of adds to the Before Zonai theory or else he would have had to survive whatever apocalypse destroyed everything
In summary, somebody off me and therapy is probably a good investment.

Northern Dawn - Prologue
The waters of time flowed through the cosmos, branching off into a thousand different directions, with a thousand different possibilities. Mighty rivers carved through their set paths, unable to escape their ancient way. The tiniest of streams could waive, but it would be inconsequential. Though, content.
Draped in golden wings, watching the flow of time, was the Great Chief of the Divines. It has always been, it will always be, his sacred duty. He must look after time, after these rivers. It was his fate, carved for him long before he could agree to it. He had been so blessed to have had a fate chosen by the gods.
One in particular was of interest to him. The waters of this time, of this family, were stained with the Dragon blood. It glowed in ribbons suspended in the water, dancing like the great auroras that arched through the sky over the land She would have to protect.
The glowing, golden blood was rather selective in who it chose to bless. Like the dragons themselves, it favored the firstborn more often. And it seemed only one or two in each branching generation would bear the curse, carry the blessing. The world had no need of it, of people with it. Until soon. Until now.
A delicate hand, made of ethereal light, crossed over the newest stream. The water and blood and light smeared into Aetherius. This child will be the last member of their family. The Goddess of Families and Fertility has chosen not to bless her so. Chosen to make sure that she had to be the last one.
“Mara.” He spoke, or what mortals would perceive as speaking. The Divine ways, the way they see the world, the words that leave them, can and is only truly known and understood by them. Still, his tone was even, if it contained a bit of sigh. Mara already knew how he felt.
“She must be the last of her kind.” Though Mara’s voice was typically kind and gentle, it was firm. She would not and did not undo her action. She was correct, after all.
The Nine gathered around the stream. They watched as the water and blood and light bore into a new soul, blessing Nirn with new life. The newborn baby cried, as they all do. Akatosh smiled, he couldn’t help it. Her parents named her, so proud of what they had created. It was bittersweet, they were doomed to leave her life, all too soon. Before she could even get to know them, before they could get to know her.
Arkay was saddened by this, feeling the same sympathy for the girl and her parents as he always did. But it was the way it had to be. He watched as her parents became sick, as he called to them, leading them away.
“Her name is her own to make.” Zenithar seemed to understand what the others were thinking and feeling. He glanced downstream, just a bit, to the moment everything will change.
Akatosh could not look away. The girl was sent to an orphanage, but ultimately ran away. She was more fortunate than most, to have had the opportunity to learn to read, write, and learn basic spells. The teenager, now a young woman, drifted. She went from city to city, place to place, forest to forest, just trying to get by.
He would have wanted a better life for her. For her parents. For her parents’ parents. For their entire bloodline. He knew as well as anyone that her suffering would shape and guide her, even if she would not always understand that.
“I wish she had told me.” The god whispered, not for the first time feeling his humanity conflict with his divinity.
Akatosh felt Mara soften, but he couldn’t care. She was usually unpleasant. “She didn’t know.” She spoke gently.
He restrained himself. He wanted to curl his claws in frustration, but the waters of time were bound to them. And his lack of divine control over his mortal emotions would cause needless mortal suffering. “It would have changed things.” Even the gods can lie.
Julianos, the fountain of advice that he is, spoke to Akatosh. “Go talk to him. He wants to see you.”
“She was mourning.” Stendarr spoke, distracted more by the living woman than the dead one. He was unhappy with many of the choices she was going to make, but still understanding. Still merciful.
Kynerath was neither understanding nor merciful. “She acted recklessly.”
“She acted blasphemously.” Nor was Mara.
Akatosh had to change the subject, lest his heart broke all over again. He watched as the woman came to a split in the river of her life. All possibilities sprawled out before her, a million directions she could take her life. Yet, further down, all streams lead into the ocean of her destiny. Mortal sympathy panged his divine heart. She could not escape it.
“We’re too shallow.” He said, trying to follow her possible lives. “This is not what we’re looking for.” He looked downstream, following the blinding light of her blood, of her destiny. But he was looking for the long, dark shadow it cast.
“The light blinds even us.” Talos felt that he, of all gods, was the only one who could ever understand what the woman would go through. Akatosh would have heartily disagreed, if either of them had voiced their opinions.
But he didn’t want to start that fight again. Instead, he said. “You are unhappy.”
“She wants to fight my empire.” Talos looked up at him, still acting much more human than the rest of them.
Akatosh understood that very well. Understood why Talos was upset. Although the light blinded him too, he still tried to peer closer. He finally saw what he was looking for. The dark shadow, casting its wings over the land. The light rising up to meet it. The two locked in battle, with uncertainty beyond that. The lights and streams of space and time fading and drying. None of the gods could see beyond that. Whatever would happen after that could only reveal itself if she could fulfill her destiny.
“She will have to fight.” Talos frowned. “All her life. No rest. No way to gather her strength. There is no being strong for war when all is war.”
“Are you not the god of war?” Dibella didn’t care nearly as much as her fellow gods. Instead, she was painting some lavenders, breathing violet life into the flowers.
“I am the god of warriors.” Talos sounded offended by what she said. Akatosh wished he still had eyes to roll. “She is blessed under those stars, my stars.”
“Guide her.” Arkay was also disinterested, still counting deaths, looking through lives. He glanced at her, wondering of her death. It would either be to the world eater, or after she defeated him. It was unknown, even to him. He looked back to the spirits.
“No.” Akatosh spoke before Talos could, not that he expected him to have agreed. “We cannot intervene. Her destiny was written long ago, in the scrolls.”
Julianos peered even closer. “She will be lonely.” He whispered. “A terrible thing for a mortal to be.”
Akatosh looked upstream as it flowed through Aetherius. He smiled. “No.” He whispered. “Look.” Each of the gods who cared peered closer, into the auroran light shining from the water, into the tiny lives of the mortals.
To see a body being pulled from the harsh, dangerous waters of a dark river. An exhausted man spotted her, the blood from the wound on her head having caught his eye. He ran over to her, grabbing her, trying to understand where she even came from. “General Tullius, sir!” He called. “There’s another body!”
“Leave it.” General Tullius didn’t look up from what he was doing. He tied the fabric around the other man’s head as tight as he could, making sure the knot was unbreakable. “We don’t have any more room on the cart for dead bodies.” He was distracted, focused on the man in front of him. He had to make sure he couldn’t use his Voice, or they could all suffer.
The first man frowned, laying the unconscious woman on the dry bank. He hoped the locals would at least give her a proper burial. To him, those who died without names were the saddest. He moved to leave her, but then he noticed the movement. Her chest was rising and falling. She was breathing. She was alive. “By the N-! Eight.” He cried out, catching himself, just in case. “Tull- uh- General! General Tullius, sir!”
“What is it now, Hadvar?” Tullius sighed.
“She’s alive!” Hadvar picked the woman up, carrying her in his arms. He brought her over to Tullius, who was still more focused on his captive. He lifted her just a bit, trying to show that she’s alive.
Tullius yanked Ulfric to his feet, but gestured in the vague direction of the last cart. “Put her in this one. We can figure it out in Helgen.”
Hadvar placed the woman on the inside, close to the driver. He was worried she’d fall out, still having not woken up. He was sure to keep his eyes on her, and not on the man sitting across from her. Hadvar couldn’t look at him. As Tullius’ bound and gagged prisoner was unceremoniously thrown in the same cart.
What none of them saw, truly saw, was the Great Dragon of Time, looking down upon them. He looked at the woman, feeling a sorrowful joy for her. She would suffer, there was no question in it, she would suffer. But it’s what she was chosen for. It’s her fate. She built for it, able to survive. Able to thrive. Still, he wished a better life for her. He wished the miracle of ordinary days for her.
“Know this.” He spoke gently to her. She would never hear him. She wouldn’t even think it to be a dream. His words would only be a fleeting feeling to her, at best. “You are loved. You are loved by your ancestors. You are loved by your family. You will always be loved. There are people you haven’t met yet who will love you, whom you will love.”
Her face shifted. She could hear him, after all. But only within the deepest parts of her draconic soul. The part that could understand draconic words in a draconic way. “Use this love.” He whispered to her, he wished he could hug her. “It is stronger than any sword, more powerful than any spell, louder than any shout.”
“You are the last Dragonborn. Your soul is that of a dragon, but your heart is that of a mortal. Wield your light, your love, and you will prevail.”

Round 1, Match 3: Falchion vs. Wavebreaker
Falchion
Tumblr media
From: Fire Emblem
Wielder: The Royal Family of Altea, specifically Marth, Chrom, and Lucina
The Falchion is forged from the fang of the Divine Dragon Naga. It has been passed through generations of the bloodline of Naga’s chosen, and even then only those of certain sacred blood can wield it. It is very effective in slaying dragons, and it can also heal its wielder. It has slain the Shadow Dragon Medeus and the Fell Dragon Grima, and has saved the world many times.
Wavebreaker
Tumblr media
From: Worlds Beyond Number
Wielder: Eursulon the Wild One
Wavebreaker was crafted by the King of Storms as a gift for his son, Naram the Wave Lord. The seven-fingered fist on the pommel references Naram, who has seven fingers on each hand. The sword is able to defend against and break curses when wielded by a spirit.

TOTK REIMAGINED
First of all, the Link and Zelda from Skyward Sword are named Sky (Link) and Sun (Zelda) to distinguish them from Link and Zelda (botw/totk)!
The nicknames are borrowed from Linked Universe!!
MAJOR TOTK PLOT SPOILERS!!
- That Ganondorf? He's not Ganondorf, but another man. Maybe gerudo, an evil king. But not Ganondorf.
- Rauru is a Hylian, the son of Sky and Sun, first king of Hyrule and first sage
- the constructs are ancient Sheikah tech infused with holy power from Sun/Hylia! They look so magical and advanced because they are full of Sun's power nobody else has.
- Sonia is a Sheikah, and she isn't the descendant of Sun and Sky.
(spoilers ahead)
- Before leaving the world of the living, Sun created the sacred stones, taking 7 amber relics and adding her power to them, and explained her and Sky's son (Rauru) their purpose, though there was a collateral effect, the draconification, if one was to eat the stone.
- Link didn't start from the sky islands when he woke up after the accident under the castle, but Rauru's hand took him in the depths, in an enclosed area containing the Sealed temple and the huge goddess statue temple from sksw, that got buried with time under what's now the Great Plateau. The tutorial is both in the depths and, when Link reactivates the 3 stone tablets and the last remaining bird statue, he gets his paraglider back and is sent to the sky thanks to the bird statue, the only access to the sky other than using the rewind functionality if the hand.
- Link's arm is NOT Rauru's (that so strange, chopping an arm off a dead body and sewing it to Link... eww) but one of those ancient constructs. Rauru reactivates the hand but it's not fully ready, Link had to reactivate its functionalities (ultrahabd, rewind, autobuild, fuse etc)
- Mineru isn't Rauru's sister but his and Sonia's daughter, and she's half Sheikah half Hylian. When her mother passed away, and Zelda, a Hylian, took her place, Mineru was considered the Sheikah sage. Her parents didn't want her to get a stone though, she took it by accident out of curiosity maybe, or maybe I'll find a more fitting story/reason. Also, she doesn't die or turn into a spirit. She lives and the royal bloodline continues with her and most likely an Hylian as the royal family has always been known as Hylian. In modern times, her stone is passed to Josha.
- It's the power of all the new sages, the great fairies, the 3 dragons and Link together to bring Zelda back, and not the ghosts of Rauru and Sonia.
- The first group of sages was created by Rauru, giving the secret stones to wise people of different populations. He's the sage of light. The others are Sonia (sheikah), a goron, a "zora" (primitive zora, blue colored probably, a mix of oot looking zora and parella from sksw), a gerudo (oot style and nomad), instead of the Rito who didn't exist yet we get a member of the Wind Tribe, and Mineru. When Sonia is killed, Zelda takes her place, but with her own stone, as the enemy has taken Sonia's.
- Link won't get his arm back, but the construct arm will get esthetic upgrades to look less metallic and easier to use, smoother to move. The holy power inside will most likely fade after the whole adventure that used and "drained" it, so at the end Link will have a working prosthetic arm and hand but no special powers. He will as well learn to use both the hands to fight.

An Eye for an Eye (part 10)
A/N:  So the next update will be after December 20. I have finals coming up that I really need to study for T_T  Comments and reblogs are appreciated, I love hearing y'alls thoughts <3
Word Count: 2264
All chapters: MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The sun was just beginning to rise when Daenys set off for Storm's End. The waters below her were deceptively calm as she flew her dragon, and everything seemed peaceful enough. If she closed her eyes, the crisp morning air felt soothing against her face, and for a moment she could pretend that she was simply going out on a leisurely morning ride. The occasional stinging twitch in her face was remedied by the frequent sips from the flask at her waist. She had been working throughout the previous night to perfect the proportions in the tonic, making slight variations to the maester's original recipe, and now it suited her perfectly. She gazed at the horizon and took a moment to enjoy the delicate pastel colours that covered the sky. Then she turned her eye towards the fast-approaching ground. Silverwing landed in the courtyard with a mighty roar and Daenys smiled at the slight flinching of one of the knights stationed outside. She climbed off and walked towards them, her head held high. Vengeance had never felt so close.
"I am Princess Daenys Valaryon, and I bring a message to Lord Borros from Queen Rhaenyra," she declared.
The knights nodded and led her inside. It felt strangely nostalgic, even though Daenys had never been to Storm's End. But something inside her felt close to Lucerys here, walking across the same gravel courtyard he did, and climbing up the same stone steps. Making the same journey, one that would end differently she vowed. Once the knights had announced her presence she finally turned her attention to Lord Borros. Just looking at him sitting there on his throne with that air of arrogance made her blood boil. When his glance fell upon her, he smirked.
"Well well well. Look who we have here. Another one of Rhaenyra's pups."
"It is Queen Rhaenyra," Daenys snapped, scowling.
"The House of the Dragon does not seem to know who rules it, or perhaps it is only a certain branch of the house that is not aware of the circumstances. There is a King now. King Aegon Targaryen, second of his name," he snickered.
"That is what I'm here regarding. To give you another opportunity to pledge fealty to Queen Rhaenyra and her right to the throne. Given your late father's loyalty and goodwill, your past impudence will be forgiven."
"Well, I never...the insolence!" Lord Borros sputtered. "The disrespect that she shows House Baratheon, reminding me of my father's loyalty, and taking mine for granted."
"This kindness is all you deserve to be shown Lord Borros. After breaking your house's sacred oaths. Or did you forget that your family swore their swords and banners when King Viserys named Queen Rhaenyra as heir? Is treason really that effortless?" Daenys mocked, rage running hot in her veins.
"Listen, you foolish girl. I'll tell you exactly what I told your brother before you. Tell your mother that the Lord of Storm's End is not some dog she can whistle up at need to set against her foes."
"How dare yo-"
"King Aegon has promised the hand of his son, the crown prince Jaehaerys to one of my daughters. I would be a fool to reject such a generous offer."
"Jaehaerys ?" Daenys looked bewildered. "Jaehaerys is just barely out of infancy."
"A crown prince is a crown prince. It will still ensure that my bloodline will one day sit on the iron throne. A Baratheon will be king in the future."
"I am not here to bargain or barter with you. Only to present my mother's message of goodwill. I strongly urge you to accept her terms Lord Borros, for mine will not be as generous."
"Rhaenyra should really stop sending more of her children here disguised as diplomats. You would think she'd have learned her lesson after what happened to the last one, but no, Rhaenyra was never one for common sense. It is obvious that the progeny of House Hightower is not to be trifled with," Lord Borros sneered and Daenys's jaw tightened, sending a stab of pain through the left half of her face.
"My brother died on your lands. If you cannot take responsibility, then the least you can do is speak my mother's name with respect. She is the Queen of Westeros and the 7 Kingdoms, and you will refer to her as such!"
"Ah, Rhaenyra really outdid herself this time," Lord Borros emphasized his usage of her just her name. "She sent me a petulant little girl to argue matters of state. This is why I support the male heir over a daughter. Women are simply unfit to rule. Go home and tend to your husband, little lady, we are done here," Lord Borros spoke condescendingly, waving his hand to dismiss her.
That was the breaking point of her patience. With a snarl, Daenys unsheathed the sword at her side and took a step towards the lord lounging on his throne. Immediately the knights around her also pulled out their weapons and pointed them toward her. She appraised them with an unbothered look.
"I would not advise picking a fight princess. My sentries have received the best training there is. You don't stand a chance. And it is certainly no way to convince me of an alliance."
"I am done trying to beg for an alliance with a man who has no honour," Daenys voice came out soft and measured.
"You come into my home and threaten me. And then you say that I am the one without honour? It seems as though Rhaenyra needs to teach her children manners," he was outraged.
Daenys blinked at him before continuing to stalk toward the throne, "My brother was the most well-behaved there ever was. Look at what became of him."
Only when she raised her sword, did the nearest knight bring his own toward her. She was faster though, spinning around in a heartbeat and skewering him through the middle. She looked back at the aghast Lord Borros.
"You...you cannot come in here and threaten the inhabitants of this land. Guards, seize her!" he stumbled over his words.
Daenys only grinned as the men advanced. It had been a while since her last real fight and the monster of vengeance within her reared its head, craving bloodshed. It took her a total of 10 minutes to raze them, the sound of their swords clashing making her ears ring in a way that excited her. They exchanged many blows, slashing and parrying until all the men lay at her feet. Her blood was singing with the after-effects of her specially brewed tonic, and it gave her access to energy she didn't even know she possessed any more. When she was done, she stood panting in the midst of a mountain of corpses, drenched in their blood from head to toe. She casually wiped her sword on her tunic and examined its blade.
"Hmm, it's still sharp enough for one more kill," she glanced up. "Now Lord Baratheon, are you willing to reconsider your alliance with Queen Rhaenyra?"
"King Aegon will not stand for this. The Baratheons are his allies. He will send men to deal with you. You and your mother will face retribution for harming me. He will send his brother the Kinslayer. No one crosses him and lives to tell the tale. Just ask your brother, princess."
Something in Daenys snapped and she surged forward, wedging her sword under Lord Borros's neck, the blade pressed tightly just below his jugular.
"I will deal with Aemond Targaryen when the time comes," she spat venomously.
"You are no match for him. They don't call him the Kinslayer for nothing," Lord Borros returned.
"Killing my brother gave him that title! It is not a fearsome one to be boasted about. It is a brand for killing a child. A child!" Daenys finally allowed herself to raise her voice.
She adjusted her sword to press closer against Lord Borros's throat, a line of red welling up and staining the weapon anew.
"Now, tell me, which of your beautiful daughters is your heir?" she asked, surveying the stricken girls frozen in fear in the corner of the room.
Lord Borros scoffed, "Are you deaf in addition to being reckless? Did you not hear me? Women are unfit to rule. Why would I choose any of these wretches as my heir."
"How disappointing, this makes my job so much harder," Daenys gestured for one of the girls to come closer.
The girl who looked to be the oldest eventually shuffled toward her, her head bowed low. Daenys told her to bring her parchment and writing utensils which she did so obediently.
"Wait...what are you doing?" Borros stuttered trying to keep himself still to avoid the sword from burying itself further into his throat.
"Just drafting up a quick decree," Daenys wrote hastily before turning the document toward him.
Lord Borros looked at her in confusion. His eyes grew even wider when she removed her sword from his neck and made a quick slice across his index finger. She then took his bloody fingertip and pressed it to the bottom of the paper.
"I don't think you would have willingly signed it, even if you could read it. Your seal would have been better but this will do for now," Daenys scorned, moving her weapon to its prior position. "Now I am really done with you."
"What-"
Lord Borros interrupted his own words with a scream that ended abruptly. Daenys's sword had made a pristine stroke and so his death was a quick one, but it was most definitely not clean. Blood burst out of his severed neck and sprayed her in a fresh layer of red over the already drying dark crimson. She took a sideways glance at his daughters and they all looked to be on varying levels of nauseated and terrified.
"Which one of you is the oldest Baratheon daughter?" Daenys stepped down from the dais where Lord Borros's body lay cooling and held out the paper that held his bloody fingerprint.
The dark-haired girl who had retrieved the parchment for her stepped forward once again. This time she had the courage to look Daenys in the eye.
"I am Cassandra Baratheon, my princess."
"This belongs to you. You may do with it as you see fit," Daenys handed her the parchment.
The girl read its contents and gasped, "What is this? How can it be?"
"Since Lord Borros is dead, the seat of House Baratheon goes to his heir. Since he had no male heir and named no female, it would go to his next of kin. However, I see no reason why any of his daughters should not make a perfectly adequate head of the house. If you wish, the seat is yours. You have a declaration stating that prior to his demise, your father named you, his oldest daughter, as his heir."
"But I have never... Father did not provide us with the education befitting an heir..." Cassandra frowned.
"I don't see why that should hinder you. You will have the support of Queen Rhaenyra as well as the personal help of the Queen's sword. All I ask in return is that you support the true Queen of Westeros," Daenys smiled, trying to appear less intimidating, but she didn't know how effectively she could do that being covered in blood.
"Yes, princess. Of course. You will have the undying loyalty of House Baratheon. For all that you have done, you will have that and more," Cassandra gave her a strained smile, and Daenys could see the gears turning in the girl's head, making the most out of this new opportunity.
"Good. It would have been quite an inconvenience to come and threaten the next man to grace that throne," Daenys glanced at Lord Borros's body.
Cassandra averted her eyes and Daenys muttered a soft apology. She felt bad for the fact that the girls had witnessed the scene. The youngest looked to be only 11, somewhere around Joffrey's age.
"I must take my leave now. I leave House Baratheon in your capable hands Lady Cassandra Baratheon."
"Wait, you are leaving? I must invite you to stay the night, to make use of our hospitality. At least stay to clean up and take a moment of respite."
"There is nothing to repay. And I know it may not mean much coming from me, but I am sorry about your father," Daenys spoke gently.
"It is war princess. In times of war, extreme measures must be taken for the good of the people. And besides, he was never very good at being a father," there was cold anger in the girl's eyes and Daenys wondered what kind of relationship she had with her lord father.
"I will be back soon. With reinforcements. And to see how you are faring. I must return to inform my mother of our new alliance. I wish you all the best my lady," Daenys tipped her head in respect.
"And I to you princess," Cassandra returned the gesture.
As Daenys flew back to Dragonstone, she took several gulps of her tonic and exhaled sharply. She thought this would have made her feel better. That it would fill the empty ache in her chest where Lucerys resided but somehow it had only made it worse. The emptiness became sharper and she wondered if Lucerys would think her a monster after learning of her actions. Would he have hated her if he had known that she was capable of this? She supposed there was a twisted comfort in not knowing. In the fact that her darling little brother never had to witness her becoming this murderous thing and that he only ever had good memories of her.

So a take on TOTK’s ending I’ve seen quite a bit of is the idea that it deprived all dramatic weight from Zelda’s sacrifice and that she should have suffered the consequences of her choice (I.e. stay a dragon forever or come back as a dragon human hybrid). Also said take accuses the ending of being cheap, lazy, unearned, and a deus ex machina. This strikes me as a shallow reading of the text and another example of how some people think punishment (or in this case “dying for a cause”) is the only viable ending for someone who made the choice Zelda made. It really rubs me the wrong way given all the development and tragedy she faced in both games. What are your thoughts?
The thing is that she is bound, whether she likes it or not, by destiny. The cycle of reincarnation of Ganon (Demise’s hatred) is NOT over at the end of Totk. Each time he resurrects, it is vital that a warrior with the soul of the hero, and a girl with the blood of the goddess appear to fight him. If Zelda stayed a dragon? Well then the world is doomed, because the goddess’s bloodline ends with her.
To me it’s not even a question of “throwing away her sacrifice” or having a “cheap happy ending”. It’s a matter of the fact that through whatever means it took, she had to turn back from a dragon for the world to have any hope of survival the next time ganon resurrects.
We don’t know if this specific hero and princess will see him again. Botw/Totk Link and Zelda may or may not have just had their last battle with him- we don’t know yet. Totk’s ending is left open to possibilities. Through what she says, we know Zelda will try her best to bring forever peace to hyrule, but we don’t know if she will face ganon again to achieve that, or if she will only be able to simply restore the kingdom, but not stop the cycle.
But no matter what, the next time that damn incarnation of hatred comes back, she or her descendent has to be there. The sword can do a lot, but the hero has always needed someone with the goddess’ power to seal the evil as well.
No matter how much we want a lasting sacrifice, the legend of Zelda is, at its heart, a cycle. A legend that repeats, over and over. And each piece of the cycle must live on, as least until demise’s curse is (hopefully eventually) broken. We have to have a surviving Zelda or the cycle is broken and evil wins.
(Also it does seem a little unnecessarily cruel to insist that the girl who has now been stuck fighting evil and exerting sacred power for a hundred through thousands of years TWICE have a terrible ending. She suffered enough- enough that a dragon shed tears. Let her get her well earned rest- the world needs her as a person. The ending is not unearned- on the contrary getting her life back is exactly what she earned. Don’t insist on a sad ending just for the sake of sadness. There is enough darkness, so why not enjoy the ending rather than enforcing suffering on someone who deserves a chance to live? There is already plenty of drama that can be watched anytime in the memories.)
I think all viewpoints are valid, and I can understand their point. While I do not know everything, I personally prefer to look at the lore- the actual roots of the story that lead to the endings. And the lore of Zelda is pretty clear- those goddess gals gotta live on.
And as far as the emotional part? I love the ending. I don’t like sappy stuff, and I’m not crying happy tears, but that ending is far more fulfilling than leaving the world (and Link) missing a really awesome person.
Anyways that’s my two cents worth :) It’s not a matter of what ending we wanted- she has to survive, or the next time ganon comes around, the world is doomed.

Since I've seen these been floating around and I've gotten back to rereading the series, I thought I'd give some color headcannons myself!
MudWings: They are mostly browns, blacks, and oranges, with yellows, greens, and reds being uncommon, and purple being somewhat rare. They often have spots, a piebald pattern, or what is called the muddy pattern, where either their feet or their whole legs has this soft wave of a darker color. This pattern is seen as a sign of strength in some circles. Their wing membranes are mostly solid in color, though spots and "mud splotches" have been documented. Their eye color can range from browns to oranges to the rare yellow, with hints of darker colors in them. Horn color ranges from browns, reds, grays, pinks, and rarely purple.
SandWings: Yellows, bone white, and beiges are common, and it covers most of their body so they can relax in the sand safely. Their sail, wing membrane, and underbelly are often the most patterned and colored, with copper colors, bronze colors, to rarely gold colors, including rose gold. This also qualifies to their tail barb, which also has black in its color range (some legends say gold colors used to be how you tell who had royal blood)
Sometimes a SandWing will have patterns, like the black diamond pattern we've seen, and the brown spot pattern on Queen Thorn, but they also have many other kinds, like the dapple pattern, where random scales on their sandy body are darker or lighter in color. Their eyes are mostly black all over, though around where their iris is, they have pops of sparkling color that ranges from orange to gold to white to the very rare blue. Horn color ranges from browns, blacks, and reds, rarely having veins of gold in them.
SkyWings: Reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, purples, and whites are super common, though white SkyWings are often mistaken as being "unlit", like how sometimes twins of firescales are. Uncommonly, a SkyWing can have a coal black in their scales, though none have been seen being completely coal colored. The rarest color is a fiery electric blue all over, looking like a living blue flame. SkyWings with this color are often seen as sacred, as they are the color of the hottest fire, so often they are pulled up in ranks so they can added to the royal bloodline.
SkyWings sometimes have piebald patterning, or, in slightly more rarer cases, the harlequin pattern, where all of their top scales interchange from two or more colors, looking as colorful as a RainWing. This often gets the dragon shunned. Their eye color ranges from red to orange to yellow to pink to the rare purple. Firescaled SkyWings always have blue. Their horn color ranges from browns, blacks, deep reds, to purple, and sometimes they have pops of gold in them.
SeaWings: Greens, blues, purples, and grays are common, though gray is often considered unattractive due to it resembling the color of dead coral. Pink and silver is uncommon, and the rarest color is a bright dazzling red. Red SeaWings are sometimes called "sharkblood" SeaWings, and often are made into violent warriors, for red is considered a frightening color in SeaWing society. The most common pattern is the bubble pattern, where bubble looking spots gather around the face, feet, tail, and wings. Rarely, they have arrow shaped stripes going down their back, which can be a lighter or darker color. Wing membrane patterns have a lot of diversity, though the royal family has the most extravagant pattern. You can trace the family history of a SeaWing by finding their pattern in old scrolls of SeaWing bloodlines. Their eye color ranges from blues, greens, purples, grays, to the rare pinks, reds, and yellows. Their horn color ranges from deep blues, deep purples, grays, and uncommonly pink.
RainWings:.....☆~E v e r y t h i n g~☆ (unless deformed, then shades of green they are stuck with)
IceWings: Blues, whites, silvers, and soft purples are common, though purple IceWings used to not get as much respect for having an "undignified" color back in the day. Very rarely, they can be greens or yellows, though these dragons used to be killed off because they didn't conform to IceWings standards. Their underbelly is usually darker in color, back lighter in color, and they have dark markings near their eyes, which is how they can look at bright light and not blind themselves. An iridescent and glittery effect is always present in IceWing scales, making them shine and gleam brightly like stars.
Melanistic IceWings used to appear in the tribe, but they were all killed off for resembling NightWings. IceWing patterns come in spots around the face, wings, tail, and feet. The shadow pattern, like what Snowfox had, is sometimes seen in royal IceWings to this day. They can also be piebald with their other colors. The siamese pattern is also common, and quite well loved. There is one rare pattern called the diamond head pattern, where the IceWing's top scales on their head resembles a diamond, while the rest of their body has this soft, diamond dust pattern.
These dragons are seen as natural born leaders, so are often brought into the royal line. IceWing wing membranes sometimes have a snowflake pattern, or little colored gem shapes. Their sclera is black, and their eye color ranges from blues, purples, silvers, whites, to the uncommon greens, to the rare yellows. Their horns and ruff sometimes are tipped with a deep or light purple, blue, white, and rarely green or yellow.
NightWings: All kinds of blacks are seen in their scales, though, like the RainWings and IceWings, they too have a soft iridescence to their scales sometimes, which brings out pops of color. Common deep colors are green, brown, purple, and blue. Some common patterns are silver bands that can go around the snout, legs, body, and tail, like the single circlet we've seen on Fatespeaker. Albino NightWings have been seen, and were used respected and seen as sacred, until the IceWing war happened, and so they were killed off. Piebald NightWings are uncommon, though they are well respected when they appear, as they are deemed beautiful and "Still have enough NightWing in them, unlike those albinos.."
The silver scales under their wings can make out all kinds of shapes, from showing the plain night, to having a moon, sometimes even showing a constellation. The membrane itself can also have swirls of colors, making their wings look like the vast cosmos. In seer NightWings, they have a full moon-like scale in the middle of their forehead, like how mindreaders have teardrop scales from the corners of their eyes. Their eye color comes in black, brown, deep red, deep blue, deep purple, deep green, to the rare silver, sometimes having flecks of other colors. Horn color ranges from black, purple, gray, blue, green, to the rare silver and white.

ever since I made that post theorizing about how some of the sage's (and champions) powers could originate from the Zonai, since some of the dragon's elements overlap with two of them, and the dragons are clearly supposed to be Zonai, I had a thought about how Naydra fit in. You know, there's no sage of ice or anything... maybe the ice-powered Zonai was the last of their bloodline with the control over ice but that was boring and I made a connection.
Mount Lanayru is directly connected to one civilization, one very important civilization. One with their own inherited magical gifts. The Sheikah. And one power that the sheikah slate had that always seemed out of place to me was cryonis, the ice one. I mean, magnets and infinite bombs and stasis all seem like they could be powers that the normal sheikah (or yiga?) would have, but making an ice block? idk about that one...
Anyway, Naydra getting a sheikah descendent with a power over ice whose only record to have existed is the ice power on the sheikah slate and faded words on cold temple walls leading up to a sacred spring that their ancestor guards for all eternity sounds like a neat opportunity for character design...

The Pilgrimage of the Sacred and Profane; Jujutsu Kaisen Verse
"What a terrible night to have a curse. And I've been this way since birth."
D is a descendant of an ancient cursed bloodline spawning from Vladislav Dracul the Third, infamously known as Vlad Tepes (AKA Vlad the Impaler) in human life; And would later be reborn and known throughout the world as Dracula...the first vampire!
It was rumored that the House of Drăculești (Vlad's and D's family line) dabbled in dark magics through the Order of the Dragon and during his reign, Vladislav participated in the order. At the end of his reign and war with the Ottomans, Vlad cursed himself and God before dying while drinking the blood of fallen enemies on the battlefield. This act of sacrilege would turn his body and soul into something beyond a cursed spirit. Even in Death, he would live again!
Fast forward to London England in 1893-1897, Dracula encounters Mina Harker, the woman who would go on to birth D. The first hybrid child--an unholy spawn of human and vampire (curse). Though Dracula would seemingly be defeated by Van Helsing and Quincy Harker, the vampire king made sure his curse would live on through his son--as he infected Mina with his blood while she was pregnant during those events involving Dracula.
In Present-day D is a powerful century-old sorcerer, Neither human nor cursed spirit. An anomaly to all those who meet him. He is classified as a special-grade entity of cataclysmic proportions--a would-be threat to all humanity by his sheer existence. Much like his father who he learns is still ALIVE. But worry not, D does not share the same machinations of his tyrannical father, for he is here to put a stop to his reign permanently. And he will cut through as many cursed spirits in his way to get to him to see his mission through.
D's curse(d condition) grants him all the powers of a vampire from myth and legend. This ranges from immortality, eternal youth, Supernatural strength/ durability/ agility/ speed/ senses /aura and condition, regeneration, blood manipulation, darkness manipulation, mimicry, channeling the dead, Reality and Time Altering, Self-resurrection, Precognition (access to the Akashic records), telepathy, and telekinesis.
One of D's innate techniques is called Unholy Blood. Spawning from the damned bloodline of Dracula, D can infect and turn any living entity into a creature of the night like himself through a blood-sharing ritual via biting his target. His cursed ability acts like an infection and can override a person's will, making them thralls he can control like puppets. There are levels to his thrall ability from making them mindless puppets (ghouls) to full-fledged vampires like himself under his power.
He can manipulate their memories, thoughts, and actions through his blood, forcing them to do his bidding. Even control the very blood inside of each and every thrall. His thralls will have absolute devotion to him and him alone.
But the most terrifying part of his ability is that by consuming blood, whether human or curse (Or drinking his own blood) his power will grow. The stronger the entity D drinks from, the more power he gains. Another application of his Unholy Blood ability is that he can use his blood as a weapon much like the Kamo clan through the creation of weapons and force fields using blood as an intermediary. But due to D's supernatural condition, D can manipulate anything his blood touches and use his blood as a deadly poison. More disturbing applications of unholy blood is that D can ignite his blood, causing his target to burst into flame should they touch it. Or even detonate his blood like a bomb.
The second innate technique is called Endless Darkness. This ability allows the dhampir to control the very dark itself. From very shadow to the expanse of the night sky itself. Applications of this ability can range from combat to stealth, to surveillance. He can turn his entire body into living darkness itself and even possess the shadows of others. Making shadow puppets of his enemies.
However, D isn't entirely invincible, for there are weaknesses that come from the vampiric curse. Sensitivity to the sunlight is one such weakness--too much exposure to the sun will cause the hybrid to become afflicted with a heat syndrome (also known as sunstroke). During his episodes, D will experience nausea, dizziness, and eventual paralysis until he passes out. To combat the illness he needs to bury himself in the ground in a dark area to recover and regain his strength.
Another weakness is bloodlust. Going long periods without feasting on blood can make D succumb to his darker impulses and become feral. Entering into a berserker-like state changing from Dhampir to a full-fledged vampire and attacking ally and foe in his proximity.
A more peculiar note about the hybrid is that he has a sentient symbiotic cursed parasite on his left hand that can absorb cursed energy, spirits, and even entire Domains. The parasite can also aid him in self-healing and resurrection.
D's Domain Expansion: Coming soon

• Before Maya got into Hogwarts, she prepared herself mentally and physically for what's to come. She knows that people will see her in a weird way after her brother's disappearance.
• She developed nearsightedness before her third year at Hogwarts. She only recognizes it after she bumps towards some things a lot. Due to that, Rowan gladly gives her spare glasses to Maya before she bought her own glasses.
• She had an interest in inventing things. When she was at the age of 10, she separated parts of the things she found interesting to see how it works.
• One of her boggarts is Jacob's missing persons poster that her mother created. She developed a fear of it due to her "what ifs" about her brother's disappearance.
• She found clown and/or jester outfits funny. Her fondness came from her father who dressed as a clown on her 4th birthday.
• She and her siblings' features came from both of their parents. Jacob and Maya have their mother's signature silver hair while Malachi and Marigold had their dad's black hair. All siblings shared their dad's eye color (gold).
• Maya's not too fond of sweets. She likes food but there are some things that she wouldn't eat a lot. She's a fan of spicy foods.
• Maya developed a crush on Charlie Weasley in the middle of their 4th year at Hogwarts. The reason is she likes how he's fond and passionate of the things he likes.
When someone asks her what her type of lover is she'll answer; "I like a person who's passionate."
• Maya's more fond of her mother's side of the family (The Sallow Family) than her father's side of the family (The Avery Family). She's very close with her cousins Castor and Astral Sallow who always stays by her side after Jacob's disappearance.
• Maya grew up away from the wizarding world and magic. She lives in a calm neighbor's full of muggle families which is also the place where her mother's family stay for years.
• Very sporty gal, like her father.
• She can speak multiple languages (she's self taught) and her most favorite languages to speak are French and Tagalog.
• The start of Maya's anger issues was during her brother's disappearance.

Decided to have fun with Vio being a questionably moral researcher. 😊 Written like a journal entry.

[At the top in neat, slightly slanted half-cursive, functional and unadorned: six months since the shattering]
Moon Pearls
There are several methods of gaining access to the dark world, though the term seems to be used for different iterations of the same phenomenon. For ease of understanding, I will use the arcane term “the Twilight” to refer to the dark world otherwise known as the Sacred Realm, and “the upside-down” to refer to the dark world that is a mismatched reflection of our own. How the two connect is something I will devote further study to at a later date.
The Twilight, like the upside-down, is a strange liminal space. My current theory is that the Twilight is something like a crawlspace, or the back of the embroidery- a place where divine forces perhaps had their seat of power, and then from there manipulated their creation. Perhaps it even props up our own dimension, like an easel does a canvas. I do not have enough data, and it is a difficult thing to study, but very entwined with my research into the upside down world the moon pearls gave us access to.
My thoughts wander. I am scattered from lack of sleep, too much tea, and forgetting to eat, but inadvertent fasting and sleep deprivation was apparently the prime and necessary conditions needed for a breakthrough in my research. I do not have access to the Dark Mirror, but I have studied the mechanisms behind it and obtained my own mock up for testing. The simple disc of obsidian glass should be harmless, beyond whatever innate properties of fire and earth it possesses, uncontaminated by any contact with dark artifacts. Based on the words of the Maidens I have reason to believe the power behind Shadow’s summoning in large part came from the Trident of Power, which is currently sealed in the royal vault. Any attempts to experiment with it, despite my eagerness, are perhaps fortunately out of my reach for now. With temptation out of the way I can build the necessary baseline for taking full advantage of any later opportunities. Not that I plan to steal from the royal vault, but Dot has her own research to attend to as a daughter of the royal bloodline and might be amenable to… friendly bonding time over ancient relics, or at least indulging me.
Perhaps I will take a note from Red’s tactics and attend tea with her more often.
I digress. The easiest method of researching transfer between planes at the moment is investigating moon pearls, but with the defeat of Vaati and Ganon it seems the rising pockets of dark mages have either dispersed, gone metaphorically underground, or for all I know destabilized in the wake of their patrons’ destruction. I will have to look into any rumors of strange magic to see if I can confirm what happened. With them apparently gone, however, we have no easy way of purchasing or otherwise locating moon pearls, forcing me to resort to the potential folly of memory and whatever relevant literature I can find.
I want to know what exactly a moon pearl is, and where they come from, and I believe I have a lead.
The moon is symbolically connected to the elements of water, through the tide, and shadow, through its shifting phases of dark and light. While difficult to parse, according to the diaries of a Sheikah priestess all of these aspects fall under the purview of the blue goddess Nayru. Most of this I have deduced from her descriptions of an initiation rite involving an introduction to the mysteries of the water temple. I am sure some of it is lost in translation, but the details of a particular incantation involving conjuring and confronting your own shadow to attain true understanding of the self were noteworthy, and I will enclose the relevant copy in my notes.
There were also mentions of either “dragon tears” or “divine tears”, and a ritual involving them to pass to some sort of shadow world. Whether this is the Twilight or the upside-down remains to be seen, but given the uncommon but not too unusual frequency with which we found moon pearls I doubt they come directly from a goddess. Dragons, however, are widely known to be intensely magical creatures, occasionally aligned with a goddess, and I imagine any dragon born to Nayru’s persuasion would have the blue goddess’s magical affinity for shadows. It is not a widely explored topic outside of Sheikah esoterica, and I am willing to suspect some form of royal propaganda due to Hylia’s presence in their bloodline. I would say theoretical presence, but given my experiences as a hero I can at least verify that Zelda has an unnatural affinity for light magic, shields, and sealing, on par with Shadow’s demon-granted abilities to shapeshift and conjure items. Most mages at least require an incantation, if not an entire book and some sort of object focus.
Hence my interest in the Trident of Power, as Ganon’s focus for manipulating the Mirror of Twilight. For now I must do the necessary research and preparation, as the safety of just picking it up and giving it a wave is questionable at best. I don’t know if Ganon was naturally inclined to darkness or if the Trident did something to him, but I won’t rush into this like a lovestruck fool.
I think the others will be supportive if I express an interest in dragons. They’ve been wanting me to get out of the house more, and the sunlight will do me good.
I wish it didn’t.

Round 1, Match 26: Falchion vs. Sword of Dios
Falchion
(Could not get this one to display at a reasonable size either, so have another link.)
Sword of Dios
Tumblr media
From: Revolutionary Girl Utena
Wielder: Utena Tenjou
The Sword of Dios is the first sword that Utena and many others duel with. The sword must be accessed by being pulled out of the Rose Bride, in this case Anthy Himemiya’s, chest.

TotK theory involving why the knowledge of the Triforce is missing in BotW/TotK
Spoilers for the Dragon Tears quest line
Temple of Time and the Triforce:
In BotW there are ruins of 3 temples in front of the Temple of Time which are dedicated to each golden goddess.
Tumblr media
Among the other Triforce symbols found at the Sacred Grounds and in the Castle, the icon of the Triforce obviously survived into the age, but it seems that people have forgotten that the symbol represents an existing power.
When the Temple of Time and the other temples in front of it on the Great Plateau were built, people knew of the different symbols for each piece of the Triforce and presumably knew that the Triforce was a tangible object that held power which was given to the world by the goddesses of creation, however this knowledge was lost to time somehow.
In TotK, we see that there was a different Temple of Time in about the same spot as the newer temple ruins.
Tumblr media
Some of the topography is different during this period of time, but it's largely the same as present day. The cliff off of where the Shrine of Resurrection would be in BotW can be seen to the left of the top of the Zonai Temple of Time, and what I presume to be Rauru's castle is seen in the left corner of the image.
Tumblr media
Compared to the BotW map, some of the land behind the Temple of Time was carved out when it was raised into the sky and the area to the East used to be a large lake. The castle would have been somewhere West of the Shrine of Resurrection.
Since the Temple of Time and the ruins North of it did not exist during Rauru and Sonia's time, the people who built it must have known more about the Triforce than people do in present day Hyrule since they knew about each Triforce symbol and dedicated a temple to each piece.
It can be assumed that Sonia knew about the Triforce as the symbol is painted or tattooed on her wrists. As a Hylian priestess descendant of Hylia's bloodline, it makes sense that she would be more aware of sacred objects like the Triforce.
Tumblr media
The same cannot be said for the Zonai however as there doesn't appear to be any worshipping of the Triforce in Rauru's Castle:
Tumblr media
The drapes, thrones and stained glass are all covered in Zonai designs. The stained glass appears to have a design that looks a little similar to the iconic Hyrulian crest with what could be considered a representation of the Triforce in the middle but the presence of the Triforce is significantly less compared to the later Kingdom of Hyrule in BotW.
The knowledge of the Triforce during this time may have been more exclusive to the Hylians compared to the Gerudo as Ganondorf goes after the objects that he can see and knows to exist: the Secret Stones.
[as an aside, the name Secret Stones is dumb. There's hardly anything secret about them. They should have been called "Sacred Stones" or something instead]
Or perhaps Ganondorf knew of the Triforce but its whereabouts were unknown, so it was effectively unobtainable.
...
But something happened between then and present day where the knowledge of the Triforce and the Golden Goddesses faded away and the worshipping of the Goddess Hylia returned.
My theory is that Zelda's transformation into the Light Dragon caused the Triforce to fade into obscurity.
Zelda and the Triforce:
In the final memory Zelda is seen holding the Master Sword and her hand glows with the Triforce symbol as it did in Breath of the Wild.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Zelda does in fact hold the full Triforce how would her presence in the past affect the Triforce during that era? There can't be two Triforces.
Perhaps the Triforce in Sonia's time disappeared or rather moved from where it existed (likely in the sacred realm) so it could exist solely in Zelda.
So when Zelda turned into the Light Dragon, she took the Triforce above the cloud barrier.
Despite some arguing in the community*, the events of TotK are established to be part of a closed time loop where the Zelda of BotW had already existed in the past long before the events of BotW as we can see the murals depicting her transformation into the Light Dragon existed below Hyrule Castle long before she had gone to the past herself, and Ganondorf knew the names of Link and Zelda from when he met Zelda in his time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This means that two Zelda's existed for over 100 years when Zelda was born to when she went to the past in TotK. So wouldn't there have been two Triforces if she has it as the Light Dragon and when sealing Ganondorf? No.
Zelda in past games has not needed the Triforce to have sacred power, so this Zelda doesn't need it either. Because the Light Dragon has the Triforce before Zelda's own birth, I don't believe she had the Triforce at birth rather she gained the Triforce and took it from herself as the dragon when she finally unlocked her powers to save Link in BotW.
Zelda took back the Triforce from herself as a dragon because she finally gained the courage and power to protect others. She has wisdom from her studious nature but she was not worthy for the Triforce until that moment.
So the Triforce went from the Light Dragon to Zelda and then stayed with her from then on even after she thought her powers had faded at the end of BotW because, at the start of TotK, she went to the past with the Triforce which closes the loop.
So Zelda was born when she already existed in the world as the Light Dragon above the cloud barrier,
Zelda gains power and courage when she saves Link in BotW and then she keeps the Triforce for over 100 years,
Zelda then recalls herself to the past with the Triforce which involves events that had already happened prior to BotW meaning that she recalled herself to a point of time where she had already existed (the Triforce of the present returns to Zelda as the Light Dragon),
Then Zelda becomes the Light Dragon bringing the Triforce through time so that it is gained by her past self when she saves Link and so the loop continues.
Tumblr media
[the geoglyphs are weird because they definitely did not exist in BotW but are said to have been drawn by someone based on visions from the tears long long long ago. Perhaps the glowing only happened when the Light Dragon descended from above the cloud barrier in TotK while people only knew that these glyphs were drawn because of surviving written artefacts talking about them. So the glyphs and tears only became visible in the BotW/TotK era when the Light Dragon descended as seen at the end of the Great Sky Island segment. Perhaps this suggests that the dragon descended from the clouds somehow in the past? Maybe.]
The Triforce in obscurity:
Zelda as the Light Dragon predates all Calamities which is more than 2. The latest Calamity was expected from the 10,000 year old tapestry which depicts a Calamity that was also expected to return, so assuming the Calamity returned at a regular interval of 10,000 years, there's at least 30,000+ or more years between Rauru and Sonia's time and present day. This means that the Triforce was out of reach behind the cloud barrier for tens of thousands of years. No wonder people forgot about the Triforce despite its continued depiction in crests and ruins. It was just a symbol that represented the royal family by the time of BotW.
As for why the Goddess Hylia became worshiped again like she was in Skyward Sword despite no one worshipping her in any other game following in the timeline until BotW, it could just be that with the decline of worshipping the Golden Goddess through the loss of knowledge of the Triforce, people dug up old goddess Hylia statues and began to worship her again. Because the names of Hyrule and Hylians are based on Hylia's name, it would be a name that lasted through time. The Hylians are Hylia's people as Hyrule was named in honour of Her. It's a little flimsy because Hylia was never mentioned in any other game, but either it was just never brought up in canon because she was a lower goddess compared to the Golden Goddesses or someone reinvented her name basing it on the name of the Hylian race. So Hyrule and Hylians were named after Hylia and then the goddess was renamed Hylia in reference to the name of Hylians.
And so that is my theory as to why the Triforce became forgotten in the BotW era despite its appearance in BotW and TotK. Is it accurate? I dunno. It doesn't really matter, but it's interesting to think about.
...
*the events of BotW is mentioned multiple times in TotK. Just because the towers and shrines returned to the earth like most had done every time the Calamity appeared and disappeared doesn't mean their absence in TotK suggests BotW didn't happen. The guardians have been decommissioned and repurposed for the new Sheikah towers but the one on the Hateno tech lab still exists.
Furthermore, the new provocative inspiring statue in Zora's domain is literally about Link and Sidon joining together to stop Vah Ruta. One of the new Zora lore tablets written by Sidon in TotK talks about Mipha and the events of BotW. The end of BotW suggested that Vah Ruta and perhaps the other divine beasts stopped working and were likely demolished by the time TotK came around. The beasts terrorized people, so it makes sense that they would no longer be wanted around. Calamity Ganon was known to return again and again, so why keep dangerous objects around for him to repossess? Hyrule was destroyed by the Sheikah technology through Ganon. Of course they would be taken apart.
Important characters remember Link and know of what he did in BotW, but many side characters do not. This is just suggesting that the canon events of BotW don't involve doing every single side quest and many people just saw Link as that random dude who gave them something one time over 5 years ago. He's not this icon that everyone and their mother knows about.
That's not to say there are no inconsistencies but nothing so impactful to suggest TotK ignores BotW or somehow doesn't happen after BotW.
The closed time loop also means that Rauru and Sonia had a child because otherwise Zelda could not be related to both of them and inherit both of their powers as stated in the game—Sonia says that she senses a blood connection and this isn't taken as a surprise because they obviously intended to create a royal lineage. Since they were fighting Ganondorf and establishing the kingdom, it makes sense that their child be kept away from potential danger. Not seeing their kid doesn't mean the kid doesn't exist.
...
I'm not posting this for debate. It's for fun. If you want to reblog for debate, that's fine but remember that this is a theory and for fun. Some people think theories are so much more important to the theorist than they are. I brought up the "BotW didn't happen" argument because I didn't want to leave it unmentioned for someone to "well ackshually" me on the topic. This theory is based on the fact that BotW and TotK are involved in a closed time loop as suggested by the game. This also probably only fits in the theory that Rauru's Hyrule is established after all the other games—if you've seen my post about it, I actually like the theory that Rauru's kingdom predates most of the other games. So I'm actually posting a theory that probably contradicts another theory I like which goes to show how no one has to subscribe to one particular idea of the Zelda Timeline.
I could be onto something or not but it doesn't matter in the end. People can have their own opinions on the games and whether they like it or not. I liked TotK including the story and the lore, but I really don't care about inconsistencies between games since the Zelda series has always been that way. It doesn't need to fit together perfectly because I like experiencing new stories within the series.
Remember that regardless of your personal opinions and feelings whether you like TotK or not, online communities are for fun. Theories, rewrites, AUs, fanfictions etc are all for personal enjoyment even when people disagree. Just because I disagree with others about the story or lore or whatever doesn't mean I think other people are stupid or something. Everyone is allowed to express what they think about the Zelda series.
