Zootopia/GOTG AU

Basically an AU where Rocket, Blackjack and Lylla are in the world of Zootopia instead of the MCU😄

Everyone always said that Zootopia was a peaceful city where everyone got along and where everyone could be anything.

Rocket didn’t believe that tho.

He was living in a small town called Homeworld with his parents, and he wasn’t very happy. His parents didn’t support him or even remotely cared about him, and belittled his interest in technology.

The only person who Rocket liked and got along with was his best friend Blackjack, although he could be annoying sometimes.

Eventually, the two friends decided to get out of town and move to Zootopia to get better paying jobs.

While Blackjack worked as a scientist in a lab, Rocket was an engineer in a car shop.

And the raccoon was right about not everyone getting along, because he had to deal with a lot of prejudice from other animals…

Things did get better after he met Lylla, an otter who worked as a physiologist.

He and Blackjack quickly became friends with her. Heck, Rocket and Lylla even fell in love and started dating after a year.

Despite having to deal with prejudice from others, Rocket thought his life was pretty good now.

Attempted to join a cult, nearly died in the process

Lylla

Not a good swimmer, but learning to improve

Got a job as a psychologist, works in a mental hospital as a nurse

Laid back and caring, sometimes is a little too nice for her own good

Teefs

Is a great cook, can make multiple meals for the others

Sometimes cracks jokes, only Floor finds them funny

Easily embarrassed, especially when someone mentions his wheelchair. But hes still going strong

Floor

She once worked as a DJ at a club, remixing classic rock and 80s pop songs into eurobeat music.

Loves music in general, obsessed with it really.

During Chistmas, she will give at least ONE person toilet paper as an inside joke, the previous one who received toilet paper from Floor was Drax.

Blackjack

Brother of Floor

Easily annoyed, but also annoying himself

Once went in an rampage after Wal broke his favourite gun

Cousin of Teefs

Works as an mechanic, reparing things for the others

Cannot have spicy foods (it gives him diarrhea)

Sister to Rocket

Wants to be In a punk rock band

Favorite colour is purple because it's pretty and is also the colour of her eyes

Annoying as hell, but charming as well

Often plotting chaos, plans are often unsuccessful

Blackjack O'Hare has black fur.

When he was originally created in 1982, they worked with a limited colour pallette. They couldn't colour all his fur black, that would make him look like a shadow or void. So they added highlights on his fur. They stayed away from using grey, as grey has a tendency to not always print the same, (reason why Hulk was printed green, he was originally planned on being grey).

So what's the best colour that's close to black, but lighter? Blue.

Unfortunately as the next colorist and the following colorist after them and so on and so on kept looking at the previous colorist's colours for Blackjack, they just kept picking blue, sometimes a lighter blue.

But in the end, Blackjack has black fur. It is the reason why he got the card game name. Blackjack.

Please ignore the fandom wikis that says blue fur.
