So I...may have fashioned an AU where Rocket, Lylla, Teefs and Floor escape, land on earth and meet Tony as a young (ish, like 10?) kid?

Initially, Howard kept them captive to do more experiments on them, but Tony's first step towards rebelling was going down there and when he wasn't supposed to.

Bing Bang Boom, he has friends.

He gives them comfort, tasty food and talks to them about...life. Maybe even develops ideas for his suit with Rocket.

Howard and Maria die and Tony tries to let them go, but they stay.

Tony and Rocket keep making things, they both make things go boom as a way of relieving their anger and pain. Meanwhile, Lylla, Teefs and Floor are just...his eccentric roommates.

Pepper helps Lylla study business and she's able to get legs that not only are painless, but also help her swim. Teefs fashions schematics for Stark ATVs and vehicles. They're the safest vehicles on market. Floor makes friends with the other bots. Tony relives her of her pain from her legs and he carries her to and from work with him. His cute, furry, bodyguard with the bite force of T-rex.

Rocket makes the best ship ever with Tony's help.

Rocket and co. go into the stars. Lylla founds Stark-Mad Mechanics, an Intergalactic Toy Company.

Valentines Day Headcanons (Loken, Izuku Midoriya, Ramattra, Lylla Otter Telltale Version, Fumikage Tokoyami)

Happy Valentine’s Day! (I know I'm late to the party)

Loken (No Reader in this head canon for this character):

Loken didn't know about Zephyr holidays so he still had much to learn from Alex.

Alex mentioned something about Valentine's day during a conversation with Aeyon since the mole was curious about the Zephyr.

When the duo was on their way back to Loken’s lodge, Loken's curiosity was on peak.

"Alex, what is this valentine day?" Loken asked.

Alex's cheeks immediately went red.

"W-Why are you asking such a thing big guy?" Alex murmured in response.

"I overheard your conversation with Aeyon. I wish to know about Zephyr holidays."

"Well, Valentines day is a day for lovers. Lovers get together and be together to celebrate their relationship, or sometimes they may just get together to give thanks to each other. Sometimes people gave each other gifts to show how much they cared for each other. I don't know humans did valentine's day in many ways," Alex explained.

"Hm...may I-I be your lover t-today Alex? I wish to experience a Zephyr holiday for myself," Loken inquired.

A small look of shock appeared on Alex's face. Then an expression of warm contentment appeared on the young adult's human face.

"You sure about this Loken? I don't want to disrespect your culture..." Alex murmured.

Alex felt a large hand on his shoulder and looked up to see a smile on Loken's face.

"Do not worry Alex, I only wish to experience this holiday with my acolyte. Let us exchange presents!" Loken exclaimed proudly.

Alex chuckled, "Sounds good big guy."

Izuku Midoriya:

Izuku was nervous about what present to give you. He could give you a weapon for training, or could give you some advice for training no that wasn't good enough the one he loved.

Izuku noticed that everyone was going on dates in class 1-A (except for Mineta). He didn't want to treat you to a date, he wanted to do something unique.

Izuku then suddenly came up with an idea! He was going to treat you on a date, but he wouldn't give you a boring present. Izuku immediately got to work.

After class 1-A's dates, all of the students noticed how Izuku was working hard to finish his project for you. So they volunteered to help. Izuku was speechless. In his past many people saw him as someone who was weak, someone who was useless.

Izuku knew his class were kind, but helping him out to make you happy. His classmates were truly kind hearted people.

The class worked together until evening. During that time, the girls were assigned to keep you busy and away from the dorms. Meanwhile, Izuku and the guys decorated the dorms and got ready for the surprise.

Once it was evening, you were getting tired and not to mention that Izuku has seemed to be distant from you too. You were pretty bumped despite the girls encouraging you that surely Izuku didn't forget that it was valentine's day.

When you entered the dorms... SURPRISE!

"What's all this?" You asked with a look of astonishment.

There was a banner that said, "Happy Valentine's Day," along with many decorations that were on tables, walls, and so on.

"This is for you Y/N," Izuku confessed.

"You did all of this...for me? I thought you forgot about valentine's day."

"I would never forget a special day where I can praise how great my girlfriend is to my friends and family!" Izuku concluded.

"Thank you Izuku, thanks everyone, for everything."

Ramattra:

Ramattra had heard about Valentine's day. It was a day where humans got together and confessed how much they loved each other. Ramattra was looking forward to it.

Tomorrow was Valentine's day and Ramattra already had all of the presents, restaurant, and poem planned out.

Ramattra was so excited that his gears were spinning without end.

"Why are you so excited?" You asked with a small chuckle.

"Tomorrow is a day for just you and me my love," the ravager replied.

When it was valentine's day, Ramattra brought you to a pretty nice restaurant and you both ordered food. Ramattra didn't enjoy working at a job for humans, but it was the only way he could get money. He went through torture working as an engineer for a human business all just to get you presents and have a great meal.

When Ramattra told you this; you were surprised. Actions alone showed how much he loved you, cared for you, and you appreciated that immensely.

"Words mean nothing to me Y/N, just only the fact that you are safe and enjoying this Valentine's day with me," Ramattra confessed his beliefs.

You gave him a kiss on his metal mask for where his mouth would be.

"Would you like to hear my poem?" Ramattra asked.

"Sure."

Ramattra scratched the back of his head, "It's rather very short; our lives are short, will you share yours with me?" The sexy robot man asked you.

You had no choice but to say yes.

Lylla Otter Telltale Version (No Reader in this head canon for this character):

Rocket's definition of Valentine's day would be a big shoot out with his beloved otter.

BUT he would of course take her out for a date.

He would take Lylla out to a bar and they would have a lot of drinks.

At the end of the day, the pair would be a hella drunk.

Fumikage Tokoyami:

Tokoyami would be very nervous on Valentine's day.

He hasn't asked you out for a date yet, but it's Valentine's day so he has to right?

Tokoyami would ask you out on a date, with his hands fidgeting nervously.

You noticed this, and you gracefully accepted his offer. You had a crush on Tokoyami for some time now.

The date was great overall, and you both shared your first kiss with the sunset in the background as you and Tokoyami sat on the bench in the park.

It was a little tricky kissing him due to Tokoyami having the mouth of a bird, but you made it work.

After several dates, Tokoyami asked you to become his boyfriend.

You accepted without hesitation.

Heh… just saw the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 trailer… heh… no big deal… HEH…

I’M SO HAPPY LYLLA IS HERE! 😆

I wonder if we’ll be introduced to Blackjack O’Hare… (please, people are starting to think I’m making up a fictional hare rival that’s in a love triangle and fights a raccoon over an otter’s affection 😭 (I just decided the three of them are dating each other 🥲))

So, um, weird hare rant aside…

I’m also concerned that Rocket’s going to die, but I think it would be best from a narrative perspective: the selfish jerk who pushes everybody away because he’s afraid of caring about others and vice versa being a selfLESS sorta-jerk begins to embrace his friends and finds true happiness before sacrificing himself for them and the rest of the galaxy.

No, not him.

“I-I’m sorry, Lylla…”

Seeing her stare up into the fluorescent sky like that is too painful, so he ever-so-gently runs his hand across her forehead, and nudges her eyelids shut for a less ‘dead’ look. “Sleep well, lady.”

However, as soon as Rocket’s hand meets Lylla’s eye, she blinks, and flinches away. “I-Is it safe now?”

No. Rocket watched her die; there’s no way she survived. This is a hallucination – hell, for all Rocket knows, he caught a bullet in the shootout and is now bleeding out right next to her. Mucus runs from his nose as he cries even harder; how could his own mind cruelly taunt him like this?

The raccoon screws his eyes shut to stop looking at Lylla, and his subconscious coping mechanism which is hellbent on showing her blinking, lifting her head, talking to him, and… running her robotic hand along his cheek, wiping a tear away.

“Rocket, look at me.” Lylla tries to stop her own tears from forming; she wanted to reach up and reassure her raccoon the moment she watched his heart break in real time. Alas, she couldn’t. Had she gotten back up, Sire would have shot her again, and as much as it hurts, even just a little wink to Rocket would have given her away through his relief. “I’m alive. I’m so, so sorry that I let you think I was dead, but pretending was the only way.”

Against his own judgement, Rocket peeks his eyes open, and when he sees Lylla gently smiling at him, and running her hand through his cheek fur, opens them fully. “L-Lylla… are you really…?”

“I’m still here.”

on 14 july 2023 i watched guardians 3 and it ripped my heart into tiny bits, so here i am writing a oneshot where lylla lives. coming soon.
