5. Do you respond to comments?

Gosh I used to respond to every one, but it just got to be too difficult, and I got out of the habit. I still feel guilty about it. Now, if I get a really nice one on AO3, I'll respond though.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I think the last fic I wrote (Birthday Party) was probably the angstiest, both in ending and throughout, but I could be forgetting some along the way!

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh geez, most of them have happy endings, as a great majority of what I write is smut! Maybe It's a Brand New Day, since the timeline on that is current (baby #2), and it paints a positive picture of their future going forward.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I don't remember that I ever have, so I count myself lucky!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Does Mulder like sunflower seeds? Does Scully have Daddy issues? YES, I definitely write smut, almost exclusively. But it comes in all forms- sometimes dirty, sometimes angsty, sometimes fluffy, sometimes humorous, etc. etc. I write it in all forms.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

No, and I honestly don't really enjoy reading them either.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, knock on wood.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I do seem to remember someone asking permission to translate a couple fics of mine a long time ago.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Meg (@msrafterdark) and I started with the thought of cowriting a fic about different points of the relationship where Mulder has spanked Scully, but we never really got it off the ground lol. Though I did release a portion that I wrote here.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Ugh, I started a fic many months ago about the two of them trapped in a closet together, but my interest in it has kind of fizzled out. So I don't know if I will finish it or not. Sigh.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I can write poetically and do beautiful things with words, and that makes me happy!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I am a sloooowwwww writer. Which means I don't do well with involved plots, etc, because then I'd never finish anything!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've never done it and don't expect I will in the future.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Formally, the XFiles, although I wrote out little scenarios for Scarecrow & Mrs. King, Moonlighting, and I think Cheers when I was a teenager.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I never have a great answer for this, because they're all my babies!

I love my When the Lights Are Off series, love Once Upon a Time in a Basement, Inevitable Things, Stay... I don't know, I can't decide!

Probably more than 35 if I count ff.net days, but sticking to AO3, it looks like 19: Zoo, White Collar, Victorious, Timeless, The Walking Dead, The Flash, Star Trek: AOS, Sanctuary, Prodigal Son, Once Upon A Time, Manifest, Maleficent, Haven, Grimm, Ever After, Eureka, Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, and Alice in Wonderland.

4. what are your top five fics by kudos?

5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?

I always try (on AO3)! Sometimes it can take my awhile, but I love the conversations on AO3.

6. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Probably “He Smiled,” just because it’s canon-compliant Magnitt Pain.

7. do you write crossovers?

I finish them less often than other fics, but yes, absolutely.

8. have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not in a long, long time. Back in my fanfic.net days I got one comment on a fic telling me that I ruined their birthday by posting it, which was kind of random, but that was years and years ago.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

Definitely not.

10. have you ever had a fic stolen?

None that I'm aware of!

11. have you ever had a fic translated?

Not yet, but someone has asked permission to translate one of my Timeless fics into Russian. :o

12. have you ever co-written a fic before?

I’ve done bits of cowriting, but I don’t think I’ve ever been part of a cowriting project that actually finished a project (largely my fault, tbh; my interest bounces a lot). I think the most successful was @heytheredeann and I cowriting a series by just. Posting fics as inspiration struck us.

13. what’s your all-time favorite ship?

For now I’ll stick to Garcia Flynn/Lucy Preston, though Emotional Compass is creeping up on them.

14. what’s a wip that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

The Megaverse.

Alice from Alice Syfy as Henry/Erika’s daughter.

Lois from the latest Superman show and Eve from Grimm being the same person.

Kelly showing up from the future on Sean Renard’s doorstep.

There are so many.

15. what are your writing strengths?

Emotions and dialogue, I think. And... Concepts? Coming up with ideas.

16. what are your writing weaknesses?

Action, setting, pacing, and sticking with a story I can’t write in a day.

17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

I fully support people who can do it!!

18. what was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

TECHNICALLY I made a Peanuts’ comic when I was just a little kid, but the first Official Fandom (IE once I knew what fandom/fanfic was) was The Mentalist.

19. what’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Possibly “Forgotten,” just because I’m so excited about actually finishing a longer fic. But as far as ones I actually go back and reread often....

Wait, I just remembered that “Tales of Chronospheres and Time” exists, and now I know for sure; THAT is my favorite fic I’ve ever written.

The sun is too bright and Ryan’s whole body is alight with something that is eating him all the way up from the inside out, but he keeps his eyes open and he makes himself look, and he tells himself that once he finds Shane, he’ll think about it. Once he finds Shane, they’ll make a plan. Once he finds Shane, and only then, he’ll let himself have the thought he’s been swallowing down like bile since he came to: that they didn’t fall.

They were pushed.

OR: Ryan and Shane get cursed by a ghost, and now they can't be not-touching. It's ... not great.

Shane obliges and tries to keep the tutoring session on track even as they distract each other.

Ryan laughs. “Dunno.” He isn’t brave enough to say that he does know that Shane will be there, somewhere, wedged between the regular, the obtuse, the breathtaking, the wild. The generic and the extraordinary. The weird and the wonderful.

oooh boy!! let’s see - i’ve at least four standrew wips that i really want to write! and a few shyan-with-standrew-as-background-ship that i’m stoked for. then i really love stamandrew but i haven’t had any ideas for it, as well as for steshyan because hello they started a company, how gay of them. i’m also stoked to write any shyanara or sharyelle or any variation of it because i am very intrigued and excited but i unfortunately haven’t had any ideas for this either :// - if you ever want to cowrite and have a fun idea PLEASE hit me the fuck up.

Alice in Wonderland, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Eureka, Grimm, Haven, Maleficent, Manifest, Once Upon A Time, Prodigal Son, Sanctuary, Star Trek: TOS, The Flash, The Walking Dead, Timeless, Victorious, White Collar, and Zoo. (At least those are the ones I’ve put on AO3.) So....18.

Three Timeless ones (not surprising), one Grimm fic (also not super surprising), and one Prodigal Son fic (kinda surprising, actually, because I wasn’t super involved in that fandom. Neat, though!)

I do!! Sometimes it takes me awhile, especially with a longer comment, but yes. I absolutely love interacting with my readers. <3

6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Maybe “A Time to Mourn,” or “The Recollection of Us.”

7) Do you write crossovers?

I’ve written a few!! Most of them live in my head, but I’ve gotten a few down on the screen.

8) Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not on AO3!! On one of my early ff.net accounts, I got a comment from someone saying that my posting a certain fic on their birthday ruined it for them. I, a snarky young pre-teen/early teen, wrote a fic/parody thing in response and posted it separately. I got a comment from a complete stranger calling me rude names for it. I messaged the stranger explaining the situation, and she and I ended up being good friends for awhile.

So, while in hindsight, I kinda regret the snarky response, it gave me a friend, so, you know.

(I also got one comment on a one-shot saying it was boring, which gave me the motivation to write the sequel I’d been procrastinating for ages. ... I was a very combative child, in hindsight....)

9) Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope!

10) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, no!

11) Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have not! That’d be really cool, tho!

12) Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Mmmm so @belleyells and I wrote a few chapters of a Legends of Tomorrow/HTTYD crossover, but never ended up publishing it. Ohhh and @heytheredeann and I co-write a series for awhile! (And @taleasoldastime-andspace and I started to cowrite something, and then I... Lost steam for writing Timeless characters. Sorry, friend!)

13) What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Mmmm... Probably Garcy.

14) What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

!!! I have the majority of a Timeless fic written out where Flynn is kidnapped and tortured by Emma. It’s one of the whumpiest things I’ve ever written. There’s a version where Amy is secretly alive and working with a team to help save him as well, and a version that threw that out for being too complicated. But I don’t know if it will ever get finished. Not only am I not doing much with Timeless these days, it’s far heavier whump than anything I normally write these days.

15) What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, for sure! And I have like... I feel like a solid 60/40 track record with writing emotional stuff. It’s either a grand poetic comparison, or like. “She felt sad. It felt like sadness.” Also, generating ideas.

16) What are your writing weaknesses?

To steal an answer, finishing stuff. Also, writing scenery/description. 9 times out of 10, if the characters are in any sort of setting at all, it has taken a LOT of effort on my part to focus on it. I’d be happy to just have them floating in space. Also, writing fight scenes.

17) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

I would if I could, and it’s always neat to read. Really, though, all I can do right now is write terms of endearment in other languages.

18) What was the first fandom you ever wrote for?

The Mentalist.

19) What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?

Probably “Forgotten,” because it’s the first multichap I’ve finished in a long time. “Echoes Through Time” might honestly be a close second, though.
