If a trans man and a cis man have a biological baby, and the trans man has a grc… what gets put on the baby’s birth certificate? is it still mother for the trans man? or is there a special one or something. I was expecting but unfortunately didn’t make it far enough to start asking around - was lowkey surprised though at how many nurses and doctors were respectful of my gender and didn’t misgender me despite me obvs having to access “womens” resources and departments, so a+ for that!

I’m sorry to hear about you situation.

Unfortunately, when it comes to transmen conceiving, the UK law only allows you to be put as ‘mother’ on the birth certificate.

This was challenged in 2019 by Freddy McConnell but he was also refused by the courts to be registered as anything other than mother on his childs birth certificate.

This is something that is unlikely to change anytime soon unfortunately, as the UK government, like many is geared towards a cis gendered, straight society.

It’s good to hear some positive news about nurses and doctors though, which is encouraging.

yeah tbh… you know what? It’s so weird maturing in the fandom. I joined two years ago and there’s just such an absolute mass of information you mostly just believe what you read, especially if it helps the narrative you have going on for yourself. BUT in this case, I never properly looked it through myself. Now, that I’ve done so much verifying research myself and have created my own narrative of What I Think How Things Happened, in my own theory it wouldn’t make sense to fake the birth certificate, as he did accept fatherhood by settling out of court. Still super fishy everything!

For the birth certificate anon: Kylie Jenner put Wolf Webster as her son name because you have around 48 hrs to put a name after the child is born and she was undecided but then she regretted it and said she was waiting to change it because thats allowed to in California. 2 months or so ago she said she hadnt change it yet because she forgot or something but that Wolf isnt the kids name in real life lol this is all to say in Cali a BC is easily changed and sometines not even the kids name.
