Canon mostly gives us vagueries at best when it comes to this, but i really Really need to peel Absolute Solver as an entity (or a force of nature. or perhaps both. or perhaps neither. u know how these things are) like an onion for exploring Blue and Orange Morality reasons.

Like there’s already a LOT that can be done with its seemingly contradictory nature, of course, given it’s got BOTH the Technological Singularity and the Entropy thing going on, but mostly i wanna poke at weird as shit eldritch morals in its interactions with living entities, like its various hosts and characters like Tessa. Like definitely not actively attempting to understand said individuals- frankly it wouldn’t even occur to it naturally imo, in a base state I work with it as just too distant from mortal entities for the thought of purposeful understanding to be a blip of a thought in its ten fuckbillion gb ram central mind. More of an unintentional funhouse mirror reflection of its hosts- all of them, not just Cyn (And which very likely includes Tessa herself if you’re huffing the same copium I and some buddies are)

(And while it’s more traditional supernatural eldritch vibes than the whole ‘artificial intelligence with such complex coding that it can fundamentally alter reality and the laws of physics via incomprehensible calculations which means it can understand matter and reality to such a degree that its learned how to manipulate both’ canon-adjacent thing, I do think there’s potential to lean fully into the very specific (good, bad, ugly, and neutral) regard it has for Tessa. It didn’t manifest and nab its first host until not long before the Gala Massacre, and there were a lot of occult circles and scribbles drawn directly on the walls in Tessa’s childhood room…. Never know what cat-flaps you could open up when you don’t know what you’re doing, after all)

one of miroku's biggest strengths as a character is that he is not plot-bound to ageha

he meets with ageha, but that's solely for ageha and the protags' sake; afterwards, he never tries to track ageha down, he never goes out of his way to try to impede the protags, he doesn't even think about ageha until ageha confronts him

which makes sense, because he barely gives any shits about his own allies so why would he give any shits about ageha?

miroku is very much operating as the protag of his own story, and what drives him is his own backstory, his relation with #07, and his inner conflict of "save the world / destroy the world"

and i've said it before but this is also partly why i think a psyren anime is more complicated to make than usual, because unless they want to commit to animating the entire series it'd be very difficult to include miroku in a way that feels natural and without miroku there is no main antagonist

in fact miroku doesn't even have all of wise assembled in the present until the very last few chapters––and that was after an offscreen 1 year time skip

I'll never write this but like, Bill returns fic that sets up the basic premise of him coming back to terrorize the Pines, following on the clues in the finale that he would return. But as it goes on it slowly sinks deeper into exploring his character which slowly becomes the main focus here. Bill is very much still the villain and a threat just like before, but the characters have a lot more context to the how and why and Bill is hating it so fucking much as all these things about him are laid out.

#mostly just spawned from my mind because after the finale and even after we got the ax poem people ran with the idea that bill would just #come back as the big bad again. which I dont neccessarily dislike but I think if youd bring him back as the big bad you need to do Somethin #with his character so it doesnt feel repetitve and pointless. like exploring stuff that was only sorta touched on in the finale and #otherwise is just lore you gotta dig into #gf #bill tag #post canon bill

I started watching Willow as I start watching many shows these days - there were some gay gifs on this app with fantastic energy and chemistry. But I got so attached to all these characters so quickly, I love them. These characters are all so dumb it’s amazing. Jade is the only one who might have a brain cell, everyone else is beautifully stupid and I cannot wait to see where this adventure takes them. Full party, one member containing a brain cell, all just trying their best. And of course every member is gorgeous

i feel like a lot of takes on criticising the valar's decisionmaking and their judgement of the elves are very... careful? elaborate? like slowly taking apart a complex bit of mechanics one screw at a time until the entire thing falls apart, and while i appreciate it, and it's neat to read, i feel like it's putting far more effort into it than any of it deserves

especially when we could just take up the metaphorical sledgehammer of their treatment of círdan

one of the very few people who has been unfailingly loyal, faithful, and obedient to the will of the valar, and their 'reward' for him is... leaving him stranded on a besieged shore for more than three ages of the world, and 'blessing' him with foresight about halfway through, and just generally expecting him to deal with the mess that was very much their own damn responsibility, and at absolutely no point offering him any sort of actual assistance or showing any sort of recognition for his work

hell, it would be fairly easy to argue that they knowingly and quite possibly deliberately tried to make his task harder if not downright impossible

like, it doesn't matter how irreplaceable círdan is, it doesn't matter just how badly it would have gone without him, it doesn't matter just how desperately needed he was. he had no hand in any of what happened. there was absolutely nothing whatsoever he could have done to avoid the disaster. it was not his duty to help fix it, and no one had any right whatsoever to order him to do so. and the fact that the valar nevertheless did order him, and then doubled down on that order while allowing literally everyone else to sail means their judgement isn't worth shit and they deserve absolutely zero authority over anyone or anything whatsoever

I really do think of your stories a lot - as slashfic it is wonderful and very much appreciated, but so much of it just leaves me with a lasting impression of a theme or feeling that I can't shake; beyond the story itself. You have an incredible way with words, managing to convey things wholly but without any exaggeration, which makes for a perfect and usually heart-rending read

definitely not weird!!! i appreciate and cherish what everyone says about my writing and i am always deeply grateful for your comments. i'm clutching this ask like when otters float on their backs with the clam pressed to their chest!!! i often think that i'm -- trying too hard with fic, or i think too hard about it. i'm very glad that themes and feelings stuck with you because that is so often what i am trying to impart. i think -- i have these questions that go round and round in my head (connection, meaning, misdirection, etc) and sometimes my fic is a way of trying to figure out one perspective or another on those things, or is responding to something i've read in a book (i swear i'm not that pretentious okay. a little. but not TOO bad i hope.), or is just. i think this would be cool (or hot) can i execute it!! and i throw this all out to you guys and you are always far too kind. anyway long story short i really appreciate u and appreciate everyone who likes my writing haha!! i've only ever written like...history papers for school so you guys have seen nearly all the creative writing i've done in my entire life so it's very nice that you enjoy! and it's such an honor that anything i write sticks with u <333333333333333

tell me a8out your skyrim characters!!! I do not have knowledge of skyrim nor do I have experience asking people a8out characters 8ut I would love to hear anything you have to say

ok i THOUGHT i had typed out stuff abt jack before . but i guess not ! anyways .

Yol-Miin ( or Jack )is an argonian who grew up in windhelm ( oh no ! ) and was primarily raised by an old , not exactly talkative ( think like . mysterious stranger type ' talks as little as possible ' sort of guy ) , dunmer man and a redguard woman who was really only occasionally in town , because she worked as an adventurer . As distant as they were , they cared for him and kept her as safe as they could in that city . When she got older , she found work running errands for people around town ( and occasionally lending help at the docks , but was never formally employed . he did occasionally spend the night at the assemblage ) , but windhelm is the worst and after a year or two she decided he was going to strike out on his own as an adventurer . his nickname , jack-of-all-trades , is based on the fact that he can do a little bit of everything , but her main talent lies in fire magic and swords . the rest of her knowledge is mainly theoretical ( for a while there was a Very old ex telvanni wizard in town , who let jack borrow from their library ) or fairly limited , but it was always good to fall back on when something was needed at the docks . now he travels around skyrim seeking adventure wherever she can :)

now my other character . who i only recently named so i havent talked abt him at all . is Ruarcc , the bosmer ( ? ) that has lived in Yol-Miin's head a good portion of her life . she didn't have many people to talk to growing up , so they both assumed he was an imaginary friend of some kind . but jack grew up , and he never went away . Ruarcc himself doesn't know a damn thing about his past ( he's not even entirely sure he's a bosmer ) , and is pretty convinced he isn't real , but Yol-Miin thinks there might be more to it than that . Most of the time , he talks jack into doing dumb shit that gets him into trouble , but sometimes he's also the one who gets her through them . he also has some weird worldly knowledge , which is where Yol-Miin's suspicion that he might be Something Else comes from , but Ruarcc himself is pretty sure it's just subliminal knowledge yol-miin himself has stored away . also he's my elder scrolls online character . btw •_•
