#yall think im joking but im not #can i complain for a second? #i think kaiju no. 8 is one of the most clear examples of shounen degredation that ive seen in something that hasnt been axed #ok so im caught up but i havent read the spinoff and like #who even are these character? #what do we know about kafka other than his motivations???? #uhh hes middle aged and ummmm hes childhood friends with mina.......... uhhhhh hes nice? #yall its been 100 chapters #that extends to literally every character #boy son( reno) what do we know about him #we know his sad backstory but like we dont even know what he was doing prior to taking the exam #girl daughter (kikoru) we know more about but shes got other story problems #but i still dont think i could list anything other than her involvement with kaijus #it just feels like we've went from big action to big action and it feels hollow cuz i barely know these people #and i get it maybe we learn more about them from the spinoff #but i shouldnt have to read a spinoff.... to know the main character #after 100 chapters #and its really not even the authors fault #the character interactions we get? ARE GOOD #its just so apparent that this is what happens when you have to always be amping up the action to not get cancelled #we're losing so much #if you asked me who my favorite character was and what about them i liked i dont think i would be able to honestly answer #and thats sad #kaiju no. 8 #sorry this is a really complainy post i just i really wanted to like this manga #and its not even bad its just disapointing #on a brighter note after binging the whole thing in like a day i had a dream set in the universe #and it was like kafka and mina's relationship but instead of childhood friends it was 2 guys who were actually married #so it gave me that at least

" A Song of Ice and Fire" is a series that has become rather (in)famous for its depictions of violence, and abundance of s3x scenes .and while criticism can definitely be made for these, it's important that we dont end up overlooking the important life lessons, nor end up with wrong takeaways from the story.

you see, at its very heart , i believe ASOIAF is a story of the human experience, as well as a commentary about the twisted ways of this world ( set within a fantasy backdrop). being caught in the middle of loyalties, ambition, Reputation, vengeance, culture, faith, and familial acceptance . its themes like this along with complex and relatable characters that youll pity and root for in one scene, only for you to be appalled by and flinch at in the next scene, is what i find so appealing in this series.

Spectacle, Political Intrigue and Character Drama (all present in the story too btw) aside , its a story that really makes you think ,reflect , and learn upon. and i love it for that!

so today , i just wanna show my appreciation to arguably the best aspect of this series: The Characters . for over a year now, i have made fanart for 100 characters from the series. some are major pov characters. some iterally appear for only 1 chapter. but all help bring so much depth and color to this story!

The synastry i've experienced the most & since birtth has been 12H synastry. & what better way to teach the ins & outs being that i've been thru it all. Most books and sites aren't based off of real 12H experiences. Its based off of, What they hear, see on the outside or what they've experienced once & only being on one side of the spectrum. The best way i feel to get information is from the source & in this case i genuinely and wholeheartedly believe i'm a good source!

I've been all the planets as the planet person. I've been the house. I can tell off bat which planet has falling into my 12H within the first meeting. I've been in positive 12H synastry, I've also been thru the negative. I've been the mature person & i've been the toxic one...

& more. So this book will also strictly have a chapter dedicated to me and my experiences and my book won't be biased becuz i've been on all sides so i know how it feels. This book is coming from a very heartfelt place and i hope yall feel my emotions & effort!

i was just talking abt that with my friend. like yeah i get wanting content, but all these people abandoning the fandom bc theres no new content and making it a big dramatic deal would never have survived bbc sherlock or homestuck. also like im still in several fandoms for shows that are 100% never getting new content and have been finished for 5+ years. no new content =/= dead fandom. and the people that suddenly turn on thomas for it and start posting abt how hes actually fake and they hate him (yes i have seen several people do this) need to get over themselves. its ok to move on or be annoyed, its not okay to act like that. sorry lil rant over 😅

I KNOW its so wild to me as someone who grew up with webcomics and on fanfiction.net, where updates could take years, it was not unheard of for authors to return to unfinished wips more than A DECADE LATER and we were all just as ecstatic! i have been in the tolkien fandom for FIFTEEN YEARS and people are jumping ship over a two year hiatus ??? WITH silly little happy bonus contents every once in a while????? its unfathomable to me

hell, i see people complaining about a return to serialized shows that air once a week because they can't binge watch it all in one go, its unhinged. where is your patience. arent you tired. dont you get exhausted being fed a 24/7/365 stream of soulless mass-produced content beamed directly into your limbic system?

and don't get me wrong, i LOVE writing fic for yall - i couldn't do it if i didnt love it, and i write so much because i have so many ideas, i would write more and faster if i physically could because i have so many

but when i AM tired and when i DO want to take a break, i can't lie and say that the tendency of modern fandom to demand constant updates and new content doesnt stress me the hell out. i agonized over the 2 month gap between chapters 1 and 2 of every chance to get it right in case people considered it abandoned, a real thing i have seen people claim after a couple months of no updates on multichapters.

-monotv’s incompetence makes him my favorite host of any killing game. reminds me a lot of danganronpa: safety’s on, basically DR1 but Monokuma is about as incompetent as MonoTV is. it’s a great read, highly reccommended.

Benophie anon here (the first one!) Thank you so much for responding to my ask, it was part rant, part setting the record straight on how benophies were initially feeling after the s3 announcement. Also re: trivias response to my ask: I totally understand why you may not like the book, imo it's probably the worst written book out of the series as a whole, if irc it's also the shortest book in the series, and is at least a 100 pages shorter than rmb, which might explain the pacing (the book has like 7 scenes total) It's also pretty obvious jq just wanted to get the Ben's story out of the way and move on to polin already. I checked the publishing dates for the series and there is only 7 months between tvwlm and aofag, all the other books are a year apart!! So it was definitely rushed. I think the reason I like the story so much is because it has the potential to be phenomenal. Forbidden love, the inter class pairing and yes even the no 5 shenanigans. These tropes and ideas just do it for me. Their story has the potential to be great and I will forever hate jq for not having the skill or patience to deliver on that potential. As for the workplace harassment complaints: idk man let me enjoy my fantasy book in peace✌ . That's the beauty of having eight books in this series! There's something for everyone. The show has a golden opportunity to take what is the foundation for a great story and make some excellent television out of it. I do think that the the reason they skipped over ben is the cinderella aspect of the story, you must remember how much backlash that trope was getting a year ago, the producers probably got scared and pushed the season which is... fair ig? I just hope they don't feel the need to overcorrect the book, the cinderella trope is only like the first 5 chapters anyway and then its a straight forward forbidden lovers trope. The masquerade episode could be one of the best episodes on the show if done properly. Again: the ingredients for the perfect cake are there, The producers just have to follow the instructions and not add any weird shit in there. Sorry for the long reply lol, but you did ask us to write you and essay. (Also I might add on to this essay in a couple hours, I'm definitely forgetting some stuff)

I don't think these people even care abour elevating the books - they just slapped the series name on it for the in built fanbase which ofc the racist part of that fandom got weeded out REAL QUICK after Regé's casting. Now they're using the characters of colour as props to switch out every season to draw in their POC audience. Well they can't do that with the cracker season so good luck to them.

I'm the same - I only enjoyed AOFAG BECAUSE of Luke T! I don't think I would have been as forgiving of Ben's privileged and lowkey creepy ass in the book if I had read the book first or if Ben was played by anyone else less charming.

I think they aged him down for the ignorance and navieté show version! Also to go with the Marina storyline. He needed to be young and dumb to be tricked by her I guess. Tbh your guess is as good as mine cos this show makes so many questionable choices.

Now at the heels of QC, S3 has a LOT stacked against it. But I don't think the execs or forerunners are gonna even bother trying to redeem her 🤡 so good luck getting the audience to root for her. They're just gonna She's All That it and call it a day tbh. It's going to be bland af and I won't be tuning in. I really am over Bton the show tbh. I'm only still discussing these things cos my blog is so tied to it and my friends are still in it lol. Here’s the best opinion I can give you abt this campaign ITS NOT THE BEST BUT I TRIED.

Btw keep in mind I don’t really know much about video games in general even if I wish I did.

First makarov was very smart and fast in this, how he kinda used one missile to distract them from the other missiles he was going to launch, the way he could do so many even after getting out just 6 hours later, makarov really knows how to get shit done.

honesty it all felt so rushed, they made everything so easy for makarov, which was annoying, makarov got shit done easily and what not yk what I’m saying. I was like expecting it to be like hard on both sides, both tf141 and makarov so it would be much more fun to play yk. It’s like made so lazily, nothing very new or some, everything is mostly happening on warzones map or whatever it’s called , the whole story wasn’t so good as the past ones, then to get someone killed is also hard, you’d loose so many bullets on just one person which is annoying. And whyyyt did they all look so good on the winter mission like whattttt, and price I swear. And oh the ending wasn’t the best tbh, the so called revenge could’ve been so much better yk, could have done it with the whole task force so it would be more pleasing ig. like to me it wasn’t the worst but yes

I 100 agree with you that it was rushed and set up in such way that makarov had his victory handed to him it really was like my best way to explain is like reading a good slow burn and suddenly the author is like shit I have yet to write about abc let me hastily write it all in the same chapter you barley got a deeper look into 141 as both a task force and individuals they had been together for a couple of years now yet the only time I saw dynamic growth was when gaz had adapted a much more leadership like role? and that was the scene where he directed the task force on what to do when price was too angry Bc there I was like okay yall spent enough time together for this growth to happen but I didn’t see that between soap and ghost or gaz and soap interactions were so strangely limited

Also I discussed earlier with someone how soaps personality took a 360, price’s amped up personality I could understand as I said he has a temper that he’s learned to contain and any dramatic out of character action is understandable but soap?? I didn’t feel like I was watching soap? And I get it they could be like he matured grew harder but again babe you are making me work with nothing I can’t spin the story here

Also yes the revenge was super sudden YOURE TELLING ME that price spent a whole game explaining how he’d come for Shepard only to have that half assed minute 💀 a lot of it was half assed and had just a way meh feeling to it

BIG THINGS ARE COMIN' YALLS WAY, AND HERE THEY ARE!!!

So, as you all know, 100 followers, which is super epic mind you and I'm still squealing about it.

But I feel the reason I have so many is because of my ROTTMNT fancomic, and I'm glad to say that I'll be getting back to it whoever I can! I'm not really sure when, but be on the lookout~!

BUT, continuing it, I think I need to explain that it's not necessarily some Future Fancomic, it's actually a little AU!

Its called 'The Last Hope AU' and from the name you can probably get it already... Okay maybe no-

So, Mikey knows the Multiverse, he knows how space time continuum can bend at the will of time travel or mystic abilities, and knows there's multiple universes where the Krang don't win, where they didn't even show up in the first place... But there's one universe, one that decided to twist time to change the future they had before, to make it better.

That one universe, could change everything, could change their future, the one they've been given, it's their last hope, cause if it goes right, there's a chance that the Krang of their universe could be sent back to their prison... Casey Jones just has to complete his mission- er- well- the other universe Casey.

So the AU takes place during the Krang takeover, and also kind of an 'After The Krang Are Gone' since they have to replenish, or just- learn to lie in the desolate wasteland that's left of their world.

Soanyways, thats kinda what to expect of the AU!!

And the NEXT thing is... I'm making a Fic!! Specifically a Donnie x Tamsin Fic. Not sure where I'll post it, probably get a AO3, but I'll figure it out once I get a chapter planned out, but for now, I'll be explaining the fics basic plot!

It takes place after The Mad Dogs have successfully sent back the Krang, all recovering and getting New York back on its feet.

Tamsin and Donnie are... A bit complicated, they haven't exactly expressed how they feel for one another, and it's obvious is getting on both their nerves.

It doesn't help the fact Tamsins parents had just come back from a long business trip to see a destroyed New York and their daughter nowhere to be found.

Once she finds her parents, they are immediate to announce they are leaving- completely moving away from New York and back to Tamsins hometown... Wyoming.

Obviously the Hamatos are a bit hurt they have to give up their friend, saying their last goodbyes before she's finally gone.

Now, flash to six years later, and Tams is 23, and just graduated college, people wondering what she will do now that she's finally put of her parents house and graduated, her answer... She's going right back to New York to find some work... And maybe meet some old friends and mend some broken ties with a certain softshell... But that last option is just if she has the time! Right?

Okay so. Admittedly, I haven't really been working on the au that much, due to my hyper fixiation on the owl house taking up my brain. And that'll likely still be the case with the upcoming finale so.. yeah!

Anyways, with what I have now;

I already know this is going to be a written collection of various connected stories; as opposed to a comic <\3

If my experience with making comics in the past says anything to me, is that it'll crash and burn before any of the juicy stuff happens.. and I'll get burnt out incredibly fast

Only downside to sticking to a written format is that a lot of these characters have redesighs <\3

Not big ones, most carry their basic look that just about everyone knows

Good news is, Kagekao, as of now, doesn't have a role.. yet.. maybe.. again, I'm still figuring out the overarching story

Bad news: Laughing Jill is actually a huge roll in one of the side plots (more on that later). She still holds the same basic design elements as her canon design has: black and white clown gal

Only difference between the real design and my take is that Laughing Jill is a funky ragdoll; and she's small because.. yk, she's a doll. Can literally fit inside a decent sized backpack (again, will elaborate on this later)

Other than gunning for Jeff, she has no interest in taking the lives for others. So with Janes chapters it'll likely follow both settings/sides of her life

Probably make it a hotel of sorts; for most characters its not a permanent home. Be it they dont wish to stay, or they arent welcome there

Moving on, Im gonna write masky/tim and hoodie/brian the same way i do in my silly imagines and hc posts; treat the proxy as a separate personality from the person. Each having their own set of morals, behaviors, and memories; not too dissimilar to how MH shows them off IIRC

Though these versions of them are a mix of MH and CRP since I enjoy both renditions, as a fan of both materials. Plus I feel like if this did become something, a few of yall would be upset if i didnt have them... plus theyre fun to write

Speaking of characters that 100% wont be in the au, for various reasons, are:

Ticci Toby: because I just don't really jive with him like i used to, and the character has more or less been ruined for me by others.... though theres a chance he MAY appear, its just HIGHLY unlikely

Clockwork: she just makes me uncomfortable

Off*nderman: do i really need to elaborate on why I'm not adding him?
