📚 QUEERBOOK 2024 is hereee! We made a book by and for LGBTQ+ youth! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
Last year, we asked LGBTQ+ youth: what's your idea of a "queer utopia?"
Not gonna lie - with more than 150 bills introduced in 35 states in 2023 that aimed to restrict student access to inclusive and diverse books and other library materials, the theme felt pretty radical.
And you DELIVERED. With the help of our Youth Voices (amazing queer youth activists from across the country), we compiled your amazing submissions of poetry, short essays and letters, visual art, photography, and more into Queerbook 2024. Like a yearbook, it captures what queer youth are feeling, going through, and hoping for - right here, right now across the U.S.
It's also no accident that it's the perfect small-ish size to stash in your locker or backpack so you can crack it open any time you're looking for some queer connection. :3

Training Day
Pairings: Husband!Dad!Travis Kelce x Wife!Mom!Reader
Words: 1,842
Warnings: Fluff, the reader falls ill
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Ugh!” you exclaimed, looking at Travis in the driver’s seat of your family SVU. “Ok, baby, enough. It’s just a mustache. It will be gone by the regular season.” You reached out to touch the hairs on his upper lip, pulling the skin. “Ow! Stop!” Travis swatted your hand away. You held your hands up in surrender. “Sorry, I was trying to rip it off. Wasn’t sure if it was one of those terrible fake mustaches you get at a costume store.” Travis ran his fingers across his mustache admiring that he was able to grow it in time for training camp. “This is the same mustache that was making you giggle like a schoolgirl last night when it was tickling your pus-“ “Travis, shut up!” You turned to look at Bubba and Savannah, who were both sound asleep in their car seats.
The Kansas City Chiefs Training camp was starting today, and you were tagging along with Travis so the kids could see their dad in action. The Chiefs made a huge event of the first day of training camp, inviting family and the public to see the team practice drills and scrimmage. Bubba was especially excited because he had turned four this year and was finally old enough to participate in the Gatorade Junior Training Camp. He spent all last night keeping you and Travis up talking football strategy and he wore his practice uniform to bed. Travis was beaming watching Bubba pretend to be a quarterback, dodging his opponents.
When you arrived at the practice facility, Bubba had woken up, his eyes big as he watched the crowds of people. “Mama?” he called out to you. “Yes, baby?” “Are tese people here to watch me play fooball?” You and Travis laughed at Bubba’s question. “Everyone is here to see Daddy play football, Bubs.” “Good, I would be too ‘cared.”
“You have nothing to be scared of, you’re going to have so much fun, and I’ll be with you the whole time.” Travis pulled up to the back of the stadium where the players would park, coming around to help you out of the car. You were only about six months pregnant, but your belly was already bigger than during your two previous pregnancies, and every day was a struggle because you were so uncomfortable. “Thank you”, you hobbled to the trunk; Travis was already getting out the stroller, unpacking it. You helped Bubba get out of his booster seat. “Mama, can we go play now?” “Just a second, we need to get everything out of the car. Hold onto the stroller please, I need to see you.” Bubba eagerly shook his head, conforming he understood.
Travis pulled Savannah out of her car seat, trying his best to not wake her up but was unsuccessful. She immediately started crying, her high-pitched shriek drawing attention. “Alright Sav, it’s okay.” Travis bounced her in his arms until she calmed down, resting her head on his shoulder. When he walked around to you and Bubba, you reached out to put her in the stroller. “I’ll just carry her in, I don’t want her anymore upset than she is.” Travis slung his duffle bag on his empty shoulder, balancing Savannah.
You and your family walked into the indoor practice facility where Travis would go to get dressed and have his team meeting. You took in the sight of at least 50 kids playing around on the field. You rubbed your belly, grimacing at the tightness of your back. “You alright?” Travis placed his empty hand on your belly, rubbing in circles. “Yeah, I’m fine. I just thought there would be more kids Bubba’s age for him to play with.” “He’s gonna kill it. He’ll be the best four-year-old out there.” “He might be the only four-year-old out there.”
You grabbed onto Travis’ arm, squeezing as you tried to stretch out your back. The strain was making it difficult to stand up. “Hey, hey, everything alright?”, Travis was concerned that the day was going to be too much for you. “If you need to go home, I can drive you back.” You swiped at his concern, thinking he was overreacting. “Hey Chase”, Travis got the attention of one of the team assistants that was walking by. “Can you make sure she gets a chair and something to drink? I also need someone to check in on her regularly when I can’t get to her while I’m on the field.” Chase nodded his head and jogged off to find a chair. “Travis, I’m fine, stop making a fuss over me. I’m gonna be known as the high maintenance wife.” Travis gave you a kiss on the forehead, rubbing your belly one more time before handing Sav to you. “You are high maintenance, baby. I’ve gotta go, the team is getting ready.” “Bye, love you.”
You balanced Sav on your belly as Chase came back with a foldout chair. “Sorry, this is all we had.” “This is perfect Chase, thank you. Can you walk Alex over to the line for the youth training camp?” Chase grabbed Alex’s hand and gently walked him over to the other side of the field, Alex looking back at you the entire time, tears starting to form in his eyes. You waved at him, keeping a big smile on your face so he knew he was okay.
About five minutes passed before he was full on crying, tears running down his face. You thought about running over there to rescue him, but both you and Travis agreed it was better to let him cry it out when you knew he wasn’t hurt or in trouble. One of the volunteers bent down to console Alex, and she was able to get him to stop crying. Travis walked out of the changing rooms in his practice uniform, stopping to see Bubba and wish him good luck for the day. When he saw Alex was crying, wiping his tears with no luck, Travis picked him up, pointing over to you sitting across the field. You couldn’t make out what he was saying, but you blew them a kiss when you saw them waiving over at you. Bubba took a few deep breaths before Travis put him down and walked off to join his team on the practice field outside.
Bubba thrived with the other kids, keeping up with kids twice his size on practice drills and throws. You looked over at Sav to see her sleeping in the stroller, her belly full of lunch. After about an hour, Chase ran Alex back over to where you were sitting, smiling big. “How did it go baby?” You raked his hair out his face, Bubba panting from exhaustion. “I caught the ball, Mama!” “I saw! You looked so good out there.” “Thank you. I’m sleepy now, can we go home?” You pulled Bubba into your lap, him resting his body against your chest, his hand rubbing your belly subconsciously. “Not yet baby, we have to watch daddy play for a little bit, and then we can go home.”
Once Bubba had a snack, you led both kids out to the scrimmage field. The team was in the middle of their last scrimmage, the atmosphere getting a little hostile with the opposing team. The referee was blowing the whistle constantly at little infractions, and Travis was pushed by a player on the other team, Travis retaliating by shoving the player to the ground. Other players got involved on both sides, helmets coming off. The scrap was broken up by the referees and Travis was forced to the sidelines. You rolled your eyes; Travis was usually a calm guy, but he was always going to hit back if he got hit first.
The temperature climbed as the day went on, the sun beating down on you as you sat on the bleachers watching the game. You began to feel lightheaded, grabbing some of Bubba’s snack because your blood sugar was low. You looked around hoping that Chase was around to get you some water, but your vision was starting to blur so you couldn’t see through the crowd of people. You grabbed at the person sitting next to you before you started to sway. As your hearing started muffle and your vision began to tunnel, you could barely hear Travis yelling from across the field for someone to get you help as he ran over to you. He had seen you start falling over while he was on the bench. Sav crying was the last thing you heard before you fully passed out.
You woke up disoriented, Travis standing over you, stroking your hair. He helped you sit up carefully, and you realized you were in the medical tent. “Where are the kids?” was the first thing that crossed your mind. “They’re fine baby, they are with Chase.” Travis tried to give you a bottle of water, but you declined. “The baby…” your hand found your belly, momentarily thinking that you weren’t pregnant, but baby boy was still there. “Baby’s good too. Doctor checked over everything, heartbeat was good, but they still want us to go to the hospital to get everything checked out for sure.” Travis reassured you, holding your hand. Once everything hit you, you couldn’t help but become overwhelmed, tears welling in your eyes, a sob leaving your mouth. “Hey, baby, hey, you’re okay.” Travis enveloped you in a hug, cradling your head as you continued to cry. “Can we please go home?” you asked in between sniffles. “Yes, baby, let’s go home.”
You finally got home, Travis grabbing Bubba and Sav out of the car, both knocked out from exhaustion. You followed behind them, your body sore from the events of the day. Travis took both of the kids to their rooms, placing them down for the night. You met him in the hallway as he was closing Sav’s door. “I’m worried about you, are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital?” You padded to the bedroom, plopping down on the bed. “Yes, I’m sure. I just want to go to sleep.” Travis sat on your side of the bed next to you, slipping your shoes off. He took off his shirt as he went to take a shower, but you stopped him. “Hey, don’t think just because I stole the show today, I didn’t see that little scrap on the field. Are you okay?” Travis turned to you as he continued to undress. “That guy was being an ass, he needed to be put in his place.” “You sure it’s not something more?” Travis was known to hide things from you, especially if he thought it would stress you out while pregnant. He had gone a whole six months with a broken elbow without telling you when you were pregnant with Sav. “Yeah, everything’s good.” Travis took a shower, washing off the dirt from the day, before joining you in bed, the two of you sleeping until late in the morning.

Livi podcast
The guests of the podcasts are Dominik Livaković and Marjan Mrmić(who is goalie coach)
Translation under the cut
Tumblr media
Host: Tell me a bit about your season in Dinamo. It was one of, if not the best season ever in Dinamo. What would you say, what happened? How did you guys become so good?
Livi: I guess there are more quality players now. And we worked well together and..yeah. I guess something just clicked
Marjan: He is being humble. Dominik had an excellent season and he knew how to stay calm in stressful situations and that calmed the rest of the team
Livi: *looks at the floor*
Host: was losing against Ferencvaros the turning point? What made you all be that much better after?
Livi: well I suppose it was important. I mean, I think I could almost say it was a good thing we lost so early on, considering the rest of the season
Host: I am not sure director of finances in dinamo agrees
Livi, laughing: well no, probably not but I think we brought it enough money later on
Host: you defended a penalty against Cluj. Well two actually. Was that harder to do or was watching Suba defending penalties during WC?
Livi: oh wow *laughs * that's-I mean you can't compare those two things. Completely different feelings. But I suppose there wasn't that much pressure put on me during those penalities because I didn't know they would be the last. But Suba is probably one of the best goalies Croatia ever had, if not the best. So I really don't think that's comparable
Host: Alright, first card break. You need to choose between two things
Marjan: Nutmerg or dribble?
Livi: what?
Host: *repeats it *
Livi: *loading * oh! Nutmeg. *laughs * especially when it's Vida
Host: did that happen?
Domo: *yelling from the background * (I think he said "he didn't say that!" But it's not clear) *
Livi: *laughs * Anyway, next question
 Marjan: Meat or fish?
Livi: Hmm. Meat
 Marjan: Pizza or hamburger?
Livi: Pizza. Especially after a winning game
Host: how did you start with your goalie career? Since most guys want to score a goal
Livi: well, I can't quite remember. I was attacker one day and goalie the next. I like the way goalies threw themselves to catch a ball I guess
Host: are all goalies this calm? Or are you and Marjan exceptions?
Livi: I mean, there are some goalies that are crazy *laughs, shakes his head * but I am more of a calm type. Works better for me. Although there is that saying 'you are a goalie? You must be crazy' so you know
Host: Second card break. It's who in the national team...?
Marjan: who takes the longest to get read in the nt?
Livi: oh, Vida
Marjan: Who runs the fastest?
Livi: Vida
Host: Vida, again?
Livi: *shrugs, laughing *
Livi: who has the most precise shoot?
Marjan: right now? Oršić
Host: Livi, would you agree as his teammate?
Livi: well yes, of course he is very good. But Vida is also very good, especially recently, he scored a lot
Marjan: who has the best hairstyle?
Livi: * laughs, covers his mouth*
Host: yeah, you can use Vida again here
Livi: yeah, yeah... Vida has the best hair
Livi: who has the best sense of humor?
Marjan: Vida
*all laugh, Domo yelling again from the background *
Host: so your first, well second game, against England, what do you remember from it? Were you nervous?
Livi: yes, of course. When I read the list of names of their players...I certainly felt nervous. It has been...what? 5 years since then?
Host: 3, 4 years actually. Autumn in 2018?
Livi: Really?
Host: who are players who you find most fun? The ones whose company you liked the most during WC?
*Livi, looking at Vida and laughing *
Host: EXCEPT for Vida
Livi: Then, there were also Šime, Dejan and Broz
Host: except for not missing being on a bench, do you miss Suba in nt?
Livi, smiling: yes, I miss him. I miss him a lot. We have been on a coffee the other day, actually
Host: what would you say, how did you improve as a goalie? But please don't give me a generic answer like, experience
Livi: experience *laughs * I am kidding, I am kidding. But I have been working on playing with my foot a lot. That's what I concentrate on the most and I think I improved. Other goalie stuff well...you learn in every training
Host: okay, new set of cards, but with one new rule. Who would you choose from nt but WITHOUT Domagoj Vida
Marjan: who would you choose as a singer in a band
Livi, laughing: who else am I supposed to choose? Who else?
Host: alright, alright. I'll give you that one
Marjan: who would you let babysit your kid for a few hours?
*Livi, laughing*
Host: no. No you can't
Livi: hmmm. Then I suppose either Kale or Vrsaljko. They have a lot of experience
Livi: who would you let choose your outfit
Marjan: hmmm. Dominik
Marjan: who would you choose as a co-driver on rallying?
Livi: oh, Šime for sure. When he presses accelator...he doesn't stop
Host: so tell me, do you plan to stay in Dinamo forever? Or did you have some plans for future clubs?
Livi: I don't think much ahead. Everytime I do, it doesn't exactly end up that way. We'll see. I feel good in Dinamo right now. We have amazing results and I feel like home. Zadar is close, too
Host: Well then. Don't forget about out deal. If you sign up for Barcelona you have to go to every nt conference for the rest of your career
Livi: *laughs awkardly *
Host: I hope it still counts. I mean Ter Stengen isn't bad but I am holding onto your word about that
Livi: alright
Host: Let's ask something more private. We know you are in a relationship and by recent covid regulations we are allowed to have bigger weddings again so...I am kidding, but in all seriousness did you think about starting a family?
Livi: well yes, of course I have. I mean, all the people I know that have children think of them as biggest blessing. I do want that, at some point
 Host: pets?
Livi, smiling again: yes, Cruz
Host: what breed is he?
Livi: pomsky. Do I really need to explain?
Host: ...a bit
Livi: * explains *He is wonderful. I mean he is mine, but...he is really wonderful. He makes you so happy, especially when you come home after being away...it's amazing
Host: Helena used to do ice skating and according to Vida, you are the best dancer on the team. That means your first dance will be amazing
Livi: *laughs * I am not so sure about that. I think I'll need to practice a lot, even more than I did to learn how to defend a goal. But we'll see how that'll go. And I have to say that Vida lied. But maybe he is the best. He dances...really good
Host: he has a good sense for rhythm?
Livi: he rips shirts a lot
 Host: New card break. Favorites
Marjan, reading a question from the card: what's your favorite childhood moment?
Host: the one that isn't connected to football
Livi: not connected to fooball. Uff. I am not sure I remember. Hmmm
Host: that far away huh?
Livi: *laughs * yeah. I guess coming back from school and everything being alright(I am guessing he means grades wise)
Host: that moments were so rare huh?
 Marjan: Favorite series?
Livi: Game of Thrones
Host: what's your hobbies, except for series? What so you do when you don't play football
Livi: well, I actually like to play basketball. I am from Zadar, after all. I started with basketball first actually, before switching to football
Host: okay, I gotta ask. Why do goalies spit in their gloves?
Livi: well so the ball sticks to them better. So it doesn't fall out of our hands *rubs palms together * so they are...wet. *realizes what he said * but yeah uh. Mostly so you don't drop the ball
Host: do you prefer long or short sleeved jersey? And how do you choose that?
Livi: I like long sleeved one better
Host: except when it's really hot?
Livi: yeah...when it's really hot I choose short sleeved undershit
Host: Anyway, you guys told me not to make this too long considering there is a final of Europe league that you want to watch. Any preferences about who wins?
Livi: No, I think both teams are great. They have different qualities so, we'll see
Marjan: I think Manchester United will win. Longer tradition
Host: Either way, thank you guys for participating in today's podcast. And to everyoone who is watching, I hope you'll watch us tomorrow as well. Goodbye

One of the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic has been the absence of fans from sporting events.
Lockdown has meant empty stadia with canned crowd noise piped in for television audiences only.
Premier League games have been behind closed doors since last December, when a handful of games had up to 2,000 fans in attendance before the UK went back into full lockdown.
Some pilot events, such as the Carabao Cup final at Wembley where Manchester City and Tottenham each had 2,000 fans in attendance, have since been held to test the safe return of spectators.
From 17 May, outdoor sports venues in England are due to be allowed up to 10,000 fans or 25% capacity, whichever figure is lower, with final UK government approval announced no later than 10 May.
The Premier League confirmed on Wednesday that no away supporters will be permitted to attend matches for the final two rounds of the 2020/21 season.
There has been criticism of some clubs, with Tottenham Hostpur charging up to £60 a ticket once fans can return.
But Burnley have taken the opposite approach, announcing plans to distribute free tickets to 3,500 fans for their final home game of the season against Liverpool on May 19.
The Clarets will make the ballot available to all supporters who have renewed their season tickets for next season, with successful applicants encouraged to make a donation to NHS Charities Together.
Chairman Alan Pace said: “This fixture is opportunity to reward our loyal season ticket holders who have shown incredible support to the club throughout the pandemic.
“We have therefore decided to make tickets for this fixture free of charge. If supporters are able to, the club is encouraging successful applications in the ballot to consider making a donation to the NHS charities.”
Burnley manager Sean Dyche certainly believes that having fans back will boost his team and football in general.
He added: ““It’s been a tough year for everyone and now it’s about ‘can we come out of it and move forward?’ To see football fans in a ground in my world and the football world be a really good sign of things getting back to normal.”
MISS – GOLF BREAKAWAY & ESL
No sooner has the dust settled on football’s Super League than some of the biggest names in golf are being tempted to join the ‘World Tour’ despite threats to ban them from the professional game.
Players including world No 1 Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose have been offered contracts worth up to $100m to take part in a breakaway event, and the authorities have been quick to warn those who take part.
PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monagan has told participants that they would face an instant suspension and a lifetime ban with The Daily Telegraph reporting that others who have been offered contracts include Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott and Rickie Fowler.
Backed by Saudi Arabian investors and fronted by Majed al-Sorour, the chief executive of Golf Saudi, the ‘World Tour’ would feature individual and team formats over 12 to 18 events with a suggested launch in September 2022.
European Tour chief executive, Keith Pelley, issued a statement condemning the proposals.
He said: “We are aligned with the PGA Tour in opposing, in the strongest possible terms, any proposal for an alternative golf league.
"Since the launch of our strategic alliance last November, our two organisations have been working together to make global golf less fractured and not create further division, with the interests of all players and fans at the forefront of our thinking."
Rory McIlroy, who chairs the Players Advisory Committee on the PGA Tour, also criticised the plans and believes the traditions of the game are being forgotten.
McIlroy commented: “It's a competitive threat. I don't think there's a better structure in place in golf, and I don't think there will be," McIlroy said.
"Go back to what happened last week in Europe with the European Super League in football. People can see it for what it is, which is a money grab, which is fine if what you're playing golf for is to make as much money as possible. Totally fine, then go and do that if that's what makes you happy.
"I'm playing this game to try to cement my place in history and my legacy and to win major championships and to win the biggest tournaments in the world.
“And the possibility is that people, if they do go in that direction, can't play in the biggest tournaments in the game? The game of golf, whether it's a right thing or a wrong thing, is so about history.
“If you move further away from that, you're basically losing the essence of what competitive golf is."
This story is going to run and run and it remains to be seen how strong the proposals really are, with the organisers yet to make an official statement.
Meanwhile, UEFA has made an other positive step to move on from the European Super League debacle by announcing fines for nine of the clubs that were involved in the breakaway.
In a statement UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said: “I said at the Uefa congress two weeks ago that it takes a strong organisation to admit making a mistake, especially in these days of trial by social media. These clubs have done just that.
"In accepting their commitments and willingness to repair the disruption they caused, Uefa wants to put this chapter behind it and move forward in a positive spirit.
"These clubs recognised their mistakes quickly and have taken action to demonstrate their contrition and future commitment to European football.”
The nine clubs - Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, plus AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid - have committed to the European governing body and its competitions and will make a combined 15m euros goodwill contribution to benefit children's and grassroots football across Europe.
They will also have 5% of UEFA competition revenues withheld for one season, starting in 2023-24, and this money will be redistributed, including in the UK.
However, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are set to face "appropriate action" under Uefa's disciplinary process.
Ceferin added: “The same cannot be said for the clubs that remain involved in the so-called Super League and Uefa will deal with those clubs subsequently."
Needless to say, those three powerhouses of European fooball, whose ambitious spending is clearly at the heart of their financial struggles, issued a defiant statement suggesting that they are being victimised for refusing to withdraw from the ESL project.
The joint statement read: “The founding clubs have suffered, and continue to suffer, unacceptable third-party pressures, threats, and offenses to abandon the project and therefore desist from their right and duty to provide solutions to the football ecosystem via concrete proposals and constructive dialogue.
“We would be highly irresponsible if, being aware of the needs and systemic crisis in the football sector, which led us to announce the Super League, we abandoned such mission to provide effective and sustainable answers to the existential questions that threaten the football industry.
“For the good of football and for the financial sustainability of the sector, we have the duty to act in a responsible manner and persevere in the pursuit of adequate solutions, despite the unacceptable and ongoing pressures and threats received from UEFA.”
Delusional is one word that comes to mind from the tone and content of the statement, criticising the governance of football and the other clubs that have now fallen back into line with no hint of regret or apology in sight.
It will be interesting to see what punishments UEFA hands out - three of the biggest clubs in football being banned from European club competitions for one season would certainly not be a surprise.

Since there’s been such a positive response to my writing on an Ilvermorny fic, I thought I would share some of my notes and ideas before starting publishing chapters on AO3(@ thatonechapterofwriting)! Just so no one’s disappointed by anything or if anyone wants to suggest something I didn’t think of.
The story will be starting before the main characters get to Ilvermorny and show how (most of them) meet.
Speaking of main characters, it’s an ensemble cast like GoT or The Magicians.
Romance? Yes, but the characters are starting off fourteen so... nothing more than kissing happens :/ there’ll be four fics and the last will have them be seventeen/eighteen. Senior year :0!
Mature themes? Sure, just not y’know. Mature mature.
Cryptids? Yep. In spades.
Scamanders? Haha yes. Luna/Rolf is a blessing. They will be very minor characters. If that. Only cameos for HP characters.
So that being said these will definitely be completely original characters that will populate the fics. Except like, established characters like Principal/Headmaster Fontaine.
I’m trying to write it like a series. That’s a big task and I’m probably not going to succeed, but at least I can say I tried. I like a good Bildungsroman fic every once in a while.
And concerning the appropriation with Ilvermorny... well, ngl, I’m using the house names. I’ve just gotten really attached and I tried to read up on their origins as much as possible. But there’s going to be a subplot about the cover up story as to how Ilvermorny was founded.
I’m a person of color with some Native American blood on my mom’s side(not enough to really be informed tho haha), but even I make mistakes even when I do my research, so I doubt I’m gonna be perfect with representation.
But I will say that I am NOT using that other crap JK released about magic in America (especially regarding Native American culture) besides MACUSA. The only thing I’m making different about magic in America is that it’s used without wands more frequently than in England.
I do like the term no-maj. I am using that.
I’m also using the uniforms that JK described with the blue robes and cranberry accents. The collar/hood is hooked together with a Gordian knot pin(three loops entwined).
It’ll be very different from Hogwarts. Example: there will be separate dormitories for a pair of kids in each house(except one which gives each individual their own room for... reasons.). Also, there’s student body elections rather than prefects and head boys/girls.
I know that’s more public school than private school, but I really can’t help the fact that I like writing from what I know best.
Also it is a castle, but there’s more buildings around it and it has a town somewhat like Hogsmeade but... a little dangerous. The mountains are also v dangerous.
There are like hundreds of wizarding schools. Examples of witch(geddit) are the New York Institue of Technomagicianry and Wizardry and Goldenscale(CA). Ilvermorny is just the Harvard of them. There’s a solid eleven that make up kind of Ivy/Little Ivy spots.
FOOTBALL
How was FOOTBALL NOT MENTIONED
JK WHATS UP
I play tennis and do academics but even I know how crazy my whole school is for FOOBALL
You and I both know American Quidditch is a thing and it shouldn’t even have the same name as Quidditch. Quidditch is called Hoopball in America.
There are no trains to Ilvermorny. It is a bus. ROAD TRIP :D
Back to the characters, there is technically one main character: Cassie Capeton(the girl pictured above). She’s the most “normal” of them all. There used to only be four in the ensemble cast(one for each house), but now there’s like nine. Oops.
I will be describing them with set ethnicities and sexualities unlike Rowling because they are truly varied(the main character is biracial and bisexual and another character is non-binary, for example). I’m not going to pull a Dumbledore or Hermione on you.
Oh and the only reason the boy pictured above is a main character is because I was looking up faceclaims and I saw Mike Bailey and I was like... ok this guy fits in this story. The character’s name is Mickey because I am very unoriginal.
The story will sometimes be broken up with chat logs. Not unlike Homestuck, but geared more toward Snapchat :) bc it will be a magic Snapchat
Did I mention this was modern day? 2014. Gen Z. Albus is in Hogwarts at this point I think,,
Might add to this as I think of more stuff
And that’s about all I got! I might have another text post about the main characters(sort of outdated and missing two) somewhere in the backlogs of my hp tag if you want to find it.
Hope you guys are still interested! Wish to post soon! (Maybe once I get three chapters lined up haha) I’ll make an illustration announcement every time a chapter goes up! :)

Day 18
Oh my, another glorious day. I think we have averaged over 90’C the whole trip. We were right by the Crazy Horse Memorial so we started there. We had no idea what to expect and I have to say I was really blown away. This will be amazing when (if) it is finished. The whole museum is fantastic and the dedication to all the Indian tribes is wonderful and extensive. The actual monument is a long way from being finished but then again it is all done without Federal funding to, in their words, maintain the original mission started decades ago. Sizable Federal was declined more than once. Once completed, the monument will dwarf Mt Rushmore. I think the best take away for me was the investment in the Indian University. This, as many things on our trip, was not planned but we are both glad we got there.
A few miles up the road we go to the Mount Rushmore monument. After a little confusion getting the trailer parked we embarked on our visit. It is amazing how you don’t see anything until you are right there. The drive up the mountain was beautiful. We are glad we came from the direction we did as the line to get in was a lot shorter than the line coming up from Keystone. This should be on anyone’s bucket list as it is a sight to behold. All in all a good morning was had.
We stopped in Keystone for some lunch and a little Association Fooball. To be honest, the lunch was really good - enough said about that. We hit the road again on our journey east. We managed to get the remainder of SD out of the way. A short day distance wise but definitely rewarding. As much fun and incredible sightseeing as we have had, I think we are both missing home and our comfortable bed.

Explained: Why Thomas Tuchel in 'dire need' of goalscorer following Burnley display
Explained: Why Thomas Tuchel in ‘dire need’ of goalscorer following Burnley display
Even though Callum Hudson-Odoi is enjoying his arguably best fooball after Tuchel’s appointment, Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham continue to struggle under the new boss. Despite Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Burnley on Sunday, the Blues new manager Thomas Tuchel is in a ‘dire need’ of a goalscorer. Liverpool great Steve Nicol explains why.

some destiny 2 thoughts, take note that I didnt play destiny 1 at all:
-I’m enjoying it overall, will probably end up picking it up just to tide me over until Samus Returns
-enjoy playing hunter the most, I think Titan’s okay, hated playing Warlock
-guns balance feels kinda wonky? might be talking out of my ass but stuff every non-kinetic gun feels just worst than the revolver weapons in both PVE/PVP, but perhaps I shouldn’t expect anything different from a bungie game. Most knetic weapons i think are fine in PVE but in PVP seeing how you get very  little ammo for it in a match things like the shotgun just feels underwhelming compared to like the grenade launcher (apparently you can get rocket launchers too? i dont think you can get any in the beta though), but the revolver feesl the best to use so i cant really care LOL
-The melee spec feel way worst than their counterparts. I thought the sword spec assassin was fun in PVE but the roll doesnt have IFrames so it feels like suicide to roll half the time in PVP, and maybe it’s JUST the boss they have in the strike mission but as the fire warlock thing like twice when I went in to do the fire melee attack the boss slammed the ground and I fuckin flew off the map and died lol.
-golden gun is way better than like every other super lol. stuff like the striker FOOBALL MODE and the Hunter The Phantom Menace mode just gets you kited and killed half the time, so you’re forced to wait until you’re right ontop of someone to kill
-Cooldowns on every skill are way too long. like everything is like 2 minutes or some shit? especially annoying with skills that aren’t super impactful, like ths striker charge skill that doesnt even seem to break shields in PVP half the time. Even the super strong skills like all the grenades feel like their cooldowns are too long
-the firestrrike mode is fun, but platforming is awkward and if you fall off you basically have to wait 30 seconds because half the time your teamamtes are probably already down the cliff and unable to reach you
-I like the PVP mode they set up, didnt actually try compeitive so idk if that’s a different game mode. lots of close matches, never really felt impossible to come back.
-this might jsut be the beta aspect but the game really doesn’’t explain itself well. if a friend who played D1 didnt tell me I would’ve had no idea that I can or how I can change specs/change skills, how a lot of things work, and im sure there’s like 30+ thigns I had no idea about. Still dont know how that warlock got a big fuckin purple shield and owned me that one time in PVP
despite my complaints most of my issues are with funky balance and I can just skip that by playing Hunter cuz that class is Fun and Good, and the overall gunplay is enjoyable. Plus its been a while since I played a shooter with such a big single player/coop aspect that I’ve kinda been itching for. It’s pretty neat
