the more i think about it the more i realize how insanely funny the whole deal in the 100 was between clarke & bellamy because they say you cannot bait a m/f relationship but that’s literally what happened. down to the emphasis on them being not just friends but BEST friends and actually that’s why they’re so obsessively insanely desperately devoted to one another and why they look at each other as if they wanted to start making out right in the middle of the battlefield. #besties #bro #no hetero. the fact that their (M/F i repeat M/F!!!!!;;/&_;;) actual true love bond was shoved down the audience's throat as platonic while the short-lived hot and intense F/F (i repeat F/F +"!$(_;#?_!#(";$!) relationship that was actually kinda bad for clarke, and rushed and mediocre in general was deliberately sold as true, epic soulmate love instead. the way bellamy’s two relationships started always off-screen whenever clarke wasn’t around with 0 development and their whole purpose being to show how much bellamy held back and repressed and coped with and through them. mostly though, the crew’s shameless, defensive denial of there being ANYTHING remotely romantic happening there when there it was, all the ridiculous amount of evidence plain in the text (which was put there By The Crew) that they were in mad crazy desperate love with each other, right in front of our eyes just sort of sitting there. the subtext that became progressively more explicit as it went until it was literally just Text. and they never said anything because why. why didn’t they ever say anything. what was the reason, narratively speaking, for them to never actually get together. like even when the show got objectively bad. it was the most obvious, in the best interests of the show thing to canonize it. it’s so fucking crazy it literally reads like, as if bbc merlin had merlin be a girl and gwen a man and literally nothing changed. as if in the destiel show castiel was a girl and literally nothing changed. bellarke was literally a m/f ship between the two leads that had more romantic build-up than 90% of most relationships in general western media, labelled as “best friends forever <33” it’s hilarious and despite all the frustration i actually LOVE the fact that it was never canon bc that’s like half the reason it’s so iconic.

As a bellarke veteran, I would like to remind everyone that show runners will say shit, actors will say shit, other fans will say shit and the media will say shit about the pairings you love all the time that you disagree with and honestly you should ignore all of it and just believe what you see on the screen. Fuck the rest. Art is subjective and shows do this all the time to keep the audience guessing. They probably don't even know what's going to happen.
It was only after the 100 ended that we all found out that bellarke was supposed to happen but didn't because the showrunner decided that he would ruin the show out of spite towards one of the leading actors and their fans.
Always believe what you see on the screen, not even subtext. Literally what's been intentionally written, shot and edited by the show. That's all you can go off.
It's true that it may not end the way you want it to or whoever you ship might not get together but that's not what matters. The truth is that what's already been shown is there for all to see and they can't take it back.
Honestly the whole 'shippers aren't as intelligent as other viewers and this is more than about ships, go find another show' thing gets on my nerves because people can do what they want for one and its completely normal to see chemistry and potential in two characters. It also doesn't mean that we don't see all the other amazing things this show has to offer. It just means we see chemistry. That's literally it. It's not that deep.
They don't even have to get together but anyone saying that shipping as a whole is bad is a bit ridiculous, it's never that serious.
ITS FUN FFS
It all jumps back to the whole idea that anything that's enjoyed by mostly women (shipping) is seen as less important.

may the best bait win! propaganda under the cut:
bellamy and clarke:
They start off as a rivals-to-lovers kind of arc, the actors are married and have a kid in addition to (allegedly) being friends with benefits in the early seasons They have multiple intense romantic moments even while they're with other people, the actors were told to play them romantically and have spoken up about it, and are now married, they once won a "sexiest moment" award despite it just being him pushing her hair back, they get married in the books, they constantly tell each other that they need each other, and call themselves "the head and the heart"
they get married in the books the actors were told to play them romantically for seven years, but in the final season, clarke KILLS bellamy because the showrunner hated his teen girl fanbase. they also had multiple almost-love confessions, and constantly said things like "i need you" and called themselves "the head and the heart"
"m/f pairs who have some kind of weird fucking thing going on that is never explicitly named platonic or romantic" "couples whose romance is teased but never confirmed as such" No matter how much the showrunner tries to deny it, it was quite obvious from the beginning that Clarke and Bellamy were supposed to end up together. But then Clexa happened, and the massive backlash to Lexa's death (understandable) pretty much killed any chance they could manifest that romance. I'm okay with that, because it allows Bellarke a complexity that most straight pairings don't have. But the chemistry, and the chemistry was strong - so strong that the actors got married!
They're canon in the books the show is based on, and their plot seemed like it would be a slow burn enemies to friends to lovers, but the producer actively made fun of fans for shipping it and ended the series with clarke killing bellamy.
janeway and chakotay:
Janeway is the Captain of a Starfleet ship lost so far from home it will take decades to reach. Chakotay is the Captain of a Maquis (rebel) ship also lost there. They decide to work together to get home and combine their crews when the Maquis ship is destroyed, and Chakotay becomes her second-in-command. Because of the seriousness of the situation, Janeway feels that she cannot afford the distraction of a romance and so they never get together. They have NO personal space and look longingly at each other quite often and one episode has them forced to abandon ship potentially forever and they live together in a little house and he builds her a bathtub because she complains about not having one and they share a romantically charged massage where he tells her a made up story about a warrior and the woman who inspired him which he openly admits is made up and actually about them. Also he holds her while she cries about their chance of going back to the ship being destroyed. In a different episode she “dies” and he cradled her body while weeping about it. They also have candlelit dinners regularly and she lent him a copy of the book her ex-fiancé gave her, and every time the show conspires to make one temporarily unaware of the other, they flirt hardcore. An episode designed to show how they wouldn’t work as a couple only makes more people ship them. Also a young version of Janeway meets older Chakotay via time travel and asks him if they’re together in the future despite her being engaged at that point. He declined to answer directly.
they have a lot of Tension thruout the series & a very deep relationship, but Janeway has someone waiting for her back home & Chakotay ends up in a romance plot with another person in the last season (that I personally felt came from out of nowhere but whatever) I rooted for them! I rooted for a str8 couple! I did not care that Janeway had someone waiting for her back home even tho I usually do! but I did not care! they deserved to fuck!

“Bellarke was endgame, did you see how they looked at each other in that one episode?” This was how Clarke looked at Lexa after 131 years. 131. Just because Lexa died doesn’t mean Clexa wasn’t endgame. You don’t just “move on” from your soulmate, and Clarke loved her every second of every minute of every day for those 131 years, and most likely until the day she died. And I don’t doubt for a second that if the roles were reversed that Lexa would’ve been any different. They were made for each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The show should’ve ended differently. Douchenberg should’ve gotten over himself and sent us off on a good note. I 100% believe Alycia would’ve been willing to do that. Instead we have another file for the “bury your gays” portfolio. Lexa had so much potential. Such a shame…

Fine by dusk
Alternate Universe - Modern Setting, Smut, Angst, A/busive Relationships, veteran Bellamy working construction, Nurse Clarke;
Words: 15,415
Bellamy and his contruction crew are hired to fix the Griffin manor's back porch and garden. Clarke's stuck in an abusive marriage with Finn who's dream is to have the perfect family life so he could rise through the ranks, become mayor, then perhaps even senator and he doesn't care what he has to do to get it. Meanwhile Clarke feel sad and uncertain of what is even happening to her anymore. That is until she lays eyes on Bellamy Blake.
Bellarke Christmas exchange, written for @dark-scape
"I love it." she admitted "Used to want to go to art school."
"Why didn't you?" she shrugged and looked down at their hands that were so close to each other that all she wanted to do was take his fingers in hers and never let go of them.
"I don't know...mom wanted me to go to medschool and I did grow to love being a nurse."
"But your true passion is drawing?" she hummed and he picked up her chin with his hand, putting their faces really close to each other again. "You should keep up with it."
"I only started drawing again recently." she didn't tell him it had all to do with him but judging by the cocky smile he got on his face, he read right through her.
"Oh yeah? Was there any reason why?"
"I got inspired again." she admitted and decided to tease him as she pushed closer and now their noses touched while her hand reached over to his middle where she put the stethoscope earlier. He reached to put his beer aside and take his leg off the table too, coming in even closer to her. Two could play this game and she was intent to show him that.
"By what?" he asked and she smiled as she snuck her hand under his shirt for a brief moment and grazing his ribs with her nails. His stomach jumped, so did his dick in his pants that were getting really thight for him.
"I have no idea." she said innocently as she pulled away and made his breath hitch again. "What about you? Any passions?" she picked up the plates from the table and went to the sink where she threw away whatever was left in them and turned the water on. Bellamy wasn't stupid-he understood the signs clearly, she wanted this as much as he did and they were simply fooling around right now, playing their game.
He got on his feet and limped to the counter where he leaned on it from behind and trapped her so that she couldn't move. He leaned into her ear and whispered.
"War. I've always been good at it." he admitted. Her breath hitched and she dropped the plate she was holding as the water kept beating on it. When he pushed a bit harder from behind her, rubbing his half-hard dick against her butt, she gasped and he reached to tuck a strand of hair fallen on her cheek, behind her ear. "That and...history. Writing. I like that."
"So you're a writer?"
"Used to be. Overtime I just got better at holding a rifle as I said. Some people may find it to be fucked up but..." he let his hand fall to her side and he quickly snuck it under her arm, so he'd be able to cup her breasto over her thin shirt and make her move on her toes and press hard against his body.
"It isn't." she looked back at him and he smiled at her as he looked down on her. With his good hand he reached out and turned the tap off, then he placed it on her lower stomach, close to her crotch and pushed her harder against his body, rubbing his dick up and down her crack a little without breaking eye-contact with her. "Maybe you should pick it up again." she offered, gasping for it. Her hand flew to his wrist, desperate to hold onto something and he just smiled devilishly again. She hadn't felt that hot and aroused in...maybe ever, she was already pathetically dripping in her panties, so bad, she just wanted to touch herself and his cock pressing against the crack of her ass made it worse despite the fact that it was all happening with their clothes on.
"I don't know...I found a new hobby lately. I think you and I share it." he whispered as his other hand worked to find her nipple and pinch it between his fingers while his other hand went lower to cup her crotch through her jeans. She wasn't sure if he could feel the wetness there already but his eyes widened a little which meant he probably could.
"What's that?"
"Undressing at the window every night and making me go crazy about you." he whispered before he finally leaned down and kissed her.
Clarke lost any ground she had and almost collapsed in his arms-this felt like nothing she's ever done. His lips were so soft against hers and his tongue didn't just move uncomfortably in her mouth, desperate to do something like Finn's did, no...he just kissed her slowly, wanted to become one with her and allowed her the chance to also take charge if she wanted, which she did.

The way you ONLY ship bad boys/good girls who act as nurses/moral compasses/punching bag/psychiatrist (are you still in high school ? sorry the handsome popular boy never noticed you), I know you could never ship a female antagonist with the male hero/anti-hero.
Assuming an individual's age based on their taste in sailing is just childish and deeply stupid. By doing this, you just look immature, which you are undeniably saying / doing such things. Don't have anything else to do with your time but piss off people who are just enjoying their ships in peace ?
Tumblr media
I don't owe you anything, but I still want to point out (for those who are interested) that I'm 22 years old and I'm studying modern literature at university.
Also, how hateful and stupid do you have to be to say something as dumb as :
"sorry the handsome popular boy never noticed you"
Tumblr media
I appreciate these kinds of messages, because they only prove that the anti are real degenerates (yes I won't weigh my words because I'm pissed). But obviously the only reason you allow yourself to say such horrible things is because you hide under cover of anonymity in order to spread your hatred and negativity.
Just for information, in reality, there is rarely a "handsome popular boy" in high school, or in any type of school.
On the other hand, free and amusing anecdote, and just to make your big mouth shut, there was indeed one of "handsome popular boy", but in my college. And yes, he had noticed me. But I simply decided to refuse his interest, despite the consternation of all my friends at the time. (believe me or not, it's up to you)
Tumblr media
Then, as for the fact that apparently I'm not able to ship a female antagonist with a hero / an anti-hero, ladies and gentlemen, since this is an opportunity to introduce you to other of my loved ships, here is a playlist :
I specify that in this playlist, there are Thomas and Lucille, from the movie Crimson Peak, but I also ship Thomas with the heroine Edith. I also specify that although I like Galavant & Madalena, I still prefer Galavant with Princess Isabella. Basically, a nice and a nice set. I also placed Wednesday and Tyler there, simply because Wednesday is an anti-heroine capable of horrible acts and certainly not a "good girl" and Tyler is basically a victim and not a vilain. Also, an inverted version of Darklina or Aleks is the summoner of light and Alina the summoner of darkness, simply because that possibility excites me madly ! 🤩
Also, your bullshit of only shipping bad boys with good girls, how does it work for LGBT ships ?
youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
And now here's a playlist with some ships (because it is impossible to list them all because there are so many of them) of heroin / girls with good guys (Those who follow me will know that among them we can count Stydia / on which I have already published several times elsewhere, so blah blah the delirium of I only ship good girls with bad boys / and Bellarke) :
By the way, most of my ships are not a question of "good girls who act as nurses/moral compasses/punching bag/psychiatrist" but simply and generally reminders of Beauty and the Beast. Stories of redemption and forgiveness. I will not develop more, the real ones know.
Last little thing, the next time I receive a message like this I delete it purely and simply. I only answered because it was an opportunity to show new ships to those who follow me, and respond at least once to this type of bullshit, never to be tempted to do so again, for I would have the satisfaction of this answer.
And to end on a high note ! Dear Anon :

I love Chenford as much as the next gal, but I feel like they shifted so fast and so far. Tim is like an entirely different person. It just feels a little weird to watch and their first real kiss looked weird to me. Am I just totally nuts?
Nooo you're not nuts! As someone who has never actually seen their favorite slow burn ships during the dating stage *cough* stydia *cough* bellarke *cough* it's totally jolting.
They definitely are acting different because things are different. Lucy even asked why it was weird and Tim gave the "naked-time" explanation LOL. There was a line between them for so long and that's suddenly gone. Whether it was because she was his rookie or they were dating other people, they weren't free to just say or do whatever they want.
Now, it's like this giant weight has been lifted off of both of them—Tim especially! I think it just shows how big of a toll it took to repress their feelings. I don't think they're any less them. In fact, I think they're even more them! They no longer have anything to hide. But Chenford in a romantic relationship is never going to look the same as Chenford in a friendship.
Personally, I think they're doing it really well! I've come across other slow burn ships where they try too hard not to change their dynamic and you can't even tell they're dating. It's understandable to an extent. I mean, that is the ship you fell in love with. But on the other hand, why would you root for them to be in a romantic relationship if you don't want anything to change? That in itself is a huuuuge change!
I think Chenford is in the perfect spot! They're still their bickering, competitive, hilarious selves, but neither of them has to hide behind eye rolls and head shakes. They can just finally just smile 🥹

Q: How did you two get together?
Eliza: How did we get together? We were best friends, we are still best friends.
Bob: Yeah.
Eliza: and Youuuu asked me out.
Bob: Yeah, I think it just organically came about that way, I think especially when I was going through my stuff and needing time off, Eliza was like the person who stood up for me the most, and protected me and looked after me.
I just had knee surgery when I was doing season 6, and I guess I was just trying to do the show as best as I could but I couldn't walk like they were propping me up on boxes to look like I was standing up, and I was just like, I couldn't walk back to the car, I couldn't walk up my stairs, I was crying myself to sleep because I was in pain and I felt I was failing, and Eliza was one of the only people that stood up and said "no, like, he has to go home, he needs," she was like, it was that shift about someone who actually cared about me.
Like saying, "you need to look after yourself," that I think really shifted that relationship from being friends to me seeing you in a different light, and you seeing my worth and then showing me that going forward, yeah quite different from Bell and Clarke (fan had talked about Bellarke at first) but I think that was a turning point for me in my own self worth, and the way I saw myself because you made me realize that.

if you have time to watch eliza's panel with jo garfein on the conaggedon insta... it's pretty cringe
I'm genuinely scared to because I just know I will get secondhand embarrassment on her behalf 😬 like girl please stop whoring yourself out to these people with these bullshit made up answers that directly contradict things you've said in the past when you weren't charging them $100 for a photo-op.
And that's genuinely something that makes me pity these bellarkes so badly. Like yes they're annoying and homophobic and deserve to get mocked at every avenue, I'm not saying they don't. But also the humanitarian side of me is just riddled with pity for these people because hoooow empty as a person do you have to be to keep chasing these actors down year after year after year, paying them gobs of cash to get them to say what you want them to say? To lie to your faces so that you will continue to give them money?
Why is fandom not good enough for these people?
Ya already got clowned by Jrot (the clown ringleader himself) for 4 fuckin seasons, and then had him quite literally stick his middle finger in your faces in the final season. He killed off your blorbo by the hand of your own ship, and explicitly wrote the character you hate as your ship's true love and soulmate.
Like. I have not seen a more thorough dogwalking in my life. If that happened to me? You couldn't waterboard that information out of me. I would never even acknowledge having been a part of that fandom at all. I would look those mfs dead in the eye and simply pretend that I did not know them 🥰
But instead of just saying well fuck that show, fandom will give me what I want, you resort to bribing these actors - who have no actual say in anything that happened - to help you write your own daydreams. To help you pretend that canon isn't canon. You pay them to participate in your delusion. And then genuinely feel good about it. Like you're vindicated 🥴
AND THEY DO IT! BECAUSE YOU ARE INCOME FOR THEM!

November 24: Bellarke, Strong/Weak
I break my block (at least partially) by writing a little ficlet at 3am. LOL RIP me.
Written for a prompt off my July Break Bingo card: strong, and its antonyms (weak, frail, powerless, small)
This is in the same universe as my Time Loop fic Make a Lot of Money and Feel Dead Inside. It's semi-spoilery for some stuff that's not yet published but not overly so. More like, it will make more sense later but nothing in here should be too surprising if you've read Ch1. And if you've read none of it, also fine, this is a prequel type thing.
Bellarke, Modern AU, ~1000 words, written in about 35 minutes
*
Sometimes Clarke asks him to tell her stories, too, and the stories are always about strength. Strength, and perseverance, and fortitude through adversity. He lays the details on thick: the hero’s prominent muscles, the heroine's steadfast and impregnable heart, the ease with which a man picks up a woman and holds her in his arms—every little crevice and thin, twining vein of detail he can find so they can wallow in it, live in it, the idea of a power so profound and so natural that it can never waver, never succumb to doubt.
As he winds out these threads, she stares up at him, lets her fingers play blindly against his arms, his own muscles, taut beneath his skin, and his own words sound like a distant rush in his ears as he looks down into her unblinking, crystalline blue eyes.
He's leaning too much into this habit lately: waiting for Octavia to fall asleep and then creeping out of his own house like a burglar, rolling his bike down the street by its handlebars until he gets to the corner, as if he were being quieter or less suspicious that way. Then he pedals his way to Clarke's house, feeling the night all around him soft and warm, and the rush of air he's created against his face and blowing back his hair. Most nights, the bugs are humming, buzzing loud and the night feels riotous by the time he gets to her place. Strands of hair are sticking to his face with sweat and he's breathing hard, like all this way he was running from something and his life depended on it. He lets the bike fall down in the yard by the big tree with the tire swing, its wheels still spinning, winces at the indecorous metallic sound it makes, and breathes in deep of growing spring humidity and wet and warmth as he tilts his head back and stares up at the dark windows of the house. There's no car in the driveway: Abby on the night shift again.
Clarke's window looks out over the back. When he sneaks around to the backyard, he sees her light still burning.
He never tells her when he's coming over because it would be admitting too much, and fuck he's sneaking out so often now she probably expects him every night—but she never tells him she's waiting up. After the first couple times, she stopped showing any surprise. And she never, not even the first time, has said anything about not wanting him to stay. The route up to her window is precarious and awkward, and she still has to pull him, torso first, through the narrow opening, sweaty and overgrown and with all his limbs stretching out in the wrong places, his muddy boots threatening her bedroom carpet, every time.
Being in Clarke Griffin's bedroom in the middle of the night always feels forbidden and profane and yet predetermined all at once, like he's breaking all the rules to be exactly where he needs to be. A contradiction that slots neatly into his ideas of himself. He's the unflagging strength that does the impossible, the rage-fueled need that just protects and protects and protects, and that's so deep-ingrained he's not sure how he would live without it, but he's the groveling, frail, powerless little boy, too, out of breath and ragged after running all night. This second deep-down part of him needs those stories like breathing, and he needs the sanctuary of Clarke's neat, rectangular bedroom, with the blue-painted walls, her twin four-poster bed in the corner of the room.
She's running her fingers through his hair and kissing his face like she's not seen him in years instead of hours, kisses that linger on his cheeks and his nose, little breaths that he hears against the shell of his ear. The kisses on his mouth linger longest. He wants to pick her up and press her against the wall.
Throw her on the bed. Prove he can.
He still hasn't learned to touch her in a way that doesn't feel like pawing.
He only hears the clock ticking again after, when he's squashed up against the wall trying not to roll over and onto her, crush her, catching his breath again. His whole body is buzzing like he can feel every single atom in him vibrating, reminding him he's big and strong now and it's too late to learn gentleness. Beyond Clarke's shoulder, he can see her bedside table: her alarm clock, a small notebook that might be her diary, a box of tissues that almost fell to the floor while they were fucking. Past that, the slatted door of her closet, the photograph of the Eiffel Tower like she's taunting him with all the places she'll someday go.
"Bellamy," she murmurs, his own name almost a question, maybe a sigh. He repositions himself so that his arm's around her and her head is on his chest. This is a position he could stay in too long if he's not careful, a warmth and comfort to it, to her weight on him, that's tempting as sin.
This is the worst time to be thinking about it. But he's thinking about it. Her window's still open and the high, rising buzz of the insects seeps in, and he can't stop turning over and over in his mind what else he's brought in with him, can't stop wondering if she sees him this way too.
Can't stop wondering what she's thinking, as he glances down, entranced by the heavy rise and fall of her chest.
"Tell me a story or something," she says.
He tries to laugh, only a huff. "Don't get too comfortable listening. I need to leave soon."
"Yeah, but not yet." She pokes him in the side, and he squirms away on instinct, then smiles because he really feels warm in this moment. He presses a kiss to the crown of her head. "Come on. A story where the good guys kick some ass. Defeat some monsters for me, Bellamy."
Defeat those monsters.
He takes a deep breath in, gathering up his thoughts, letting the story come to him.
Kill those monsters dead, he thinks, or die trying.

you know s2 of the 100 will always be my favorite season, it was brilliant and the writing was absolutely incredible and I don't think any season will ever top it but saying that, S4 does come close!!! it was exciting and the writing was good and the storyline of trying to save everyone was so good and bellarke actually interacted most of the episodes maybe that's partly why I loved it lol also loved s6 though mostly for bellarke but also the storyline was decent! i understand why some didn't like s5 it wasn't my favorite but I never would've wanted the 100 to be cancelled before s6 because some of those bellarke moments in S5&6 were incredible and 6x10 is one of my favorite episodes and if we hadn't had that episode I would've been so sad!! jroth is a petty pos they wrote a scene where bellarke got together in 6x11 then he changed his mind because he sucks and they did a total 180 and rewrote it ugh anyone that watched the show and didn't think bellarke was leading to endgame was in denial truly!! all the foreshadowing, all the parallels and quotes about love and etc they were supposed to be endgame end of the story! whether you hate them or not it was supposed to be them together!! I got off topic I always do because I'm so upset and angry they weren't endgame but yeah!! I'm actually on the S4 finale in my rewatch and I genuinely did love that season for more than just bellarke but yeah!
also s7 doesn't exist bye lol

oo, what's the fic you're working on?
also, bc of your url, thoughts on the 100? (I couldn't care less except for occasionally reading bellarke these days but I am curious)
hi lovely!! im writing a merthur fic rn based off a poll i made LOL its like recently found out about magic angst with cursed!arthur and scars reveal for merlin 🤩🤩
THOUGHTS ON THE 100 IS A BIG QUESTION. i try to avoid thinking about the last season all together because i cannot put into words how much i hated it LMFAO the show had so. so much potential and ive never disliked a showrunner more than i have for the 100.
i couldnt rlly care less about it rn either tbh. once they did that to bellarke i kinda tapped out🥰clarke’s potential alone was so so fucking diminished. it hurts bro. i made this account when season 6 was just starting to air and i was still hopeful through the beautiful CPR episode and then it ended FKDKSK. i figured bellamy blake’s kru included clarke so thats why i went with it sigh
do u think i should rebrand? is it too late? i feel like it is LMFAO
honesty hour - ask me anythin
