Bakugo pov. Esp the first line, where we all know bakugo bullied Midoriya. There’s others that deserve Midoriya, i.e. Uraraka, Todoroki, Tsuyu etc, and bakugo probably still has feelings for Midoriya from when they were younger. Could be because bakugos a naturally explosive person who just literally explodes before thinking, and he hadn’t known how to deal with his feelings when they were younger.

Writer: As someone who's seen all the arguments and are well versed in same sex ships, how do you feel about BakuDeku? Cuz it's literally the only same sex ship, the only ship in general tbh, that actually bothers me, and I wanted to hear other sides of the conversation that aren't "their relationship gets a lot better in the manga" because that's deflecting. BekuDeku shippers were shipping them long before that point in the manga

Um... sorry i took so long to reply, but i’ve never watched/read MHA and as far as i know there are no canon lgbt ships in the story? At least that’s what i thought, but i really don’t know.

So yeah, i don’t ship it or have an opinion on it, but i’d say you can’t call it forced if it’s not even there? I think... Unless people are saying “it would be forced”, then idk, depends on why/what exactly they think is forced.

Cuz if the logic is they’re definetely straight (when they were never confirmed to be) and putting them in a same sex relationship is automatically forced no matter how its written, then yeah, i’d consider it homophobic. But like i said, i don’t really know anything about MHA.
