The Soushi in BTL is the Soushi that came out from Misao’s body in HAE?
Soushi's body was assimilated at the end of season 1, so he just didn't have a body to stay in on this side of the horizon. The body Kurusu was in was originally intended for Soushi, but Soushi wasn't strong enough to take over the body yet after the Neo UN bombed Kurusu's swarm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kurusu protected Soushi and kept the body his Mir had grown for him because he had been looking for another existence who thought the sky was beautiful. Because Soushi also thought the sky was beautiful he protected his existence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Kususu's existence left the body he was protecting for Soushi, I think that Kurusu's Mir must have been the one to keep Soushi from disappearing (because Tatsumiyajima's Mir wasn't very strong at the time because Orihime was so young had been weakened by Kurusu's Mir).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At that point Soushi was strong enough his existence wouldn't disappear, so he was able to be the only one in the body without disappearing.

Or at least, that's what I've gathered from watching Heaven and Earth about how Soushi got a new body. And since Behind the Line takes place between Heaven and Earth and Exodus, this is the body Soushi would have had during Behind the Line as well. Soushi is still the same existence, and the new body was grown specifically for him, so I've always assumed that it was similar enough to his original body and that he's still the same as he was in the first season, except now he has more knowledge about and a connection with the Festum.

What do you think about Soushi sleepiness in BTL?
I've finally watched BTL this week, so I can answer this now!
It was a cute way of softening his showa era boss shtick. Honestly, the whole biorhythm thing also seemed like a backhanded way of connecting him to KoSoushi. No, seriously.
Can you see how the roles begin to reverse here, audience? Can you see how truly similar they can be when Soushi doesn't suppress his emotions?
( 💢◠‿◠ ) these demons....
He even sleeps while Kazuki is telling him about his life expectancy, a very serious topic. I wonder if he just ended up staying over at his place like that (give me 11 doujins of that please).
Apparently something chief director Noto Takashi said at Anime Japan 2023 caused some commotion among fans. I found a tweet where someone transcribed what he said:
Tumblr media
「脚本に眠くなる総士を入れてくれとはいった。隙がある総士が欲しかった。 一騎の前では隙だらけの総士。 あそこは友達というか細胞レベルで繋がってる友情。 自分の一部みたいな感じなので隙だらけです」 “I asked to include a sleepy Soushi in the script. Soushi lets his guard down in front of Kazuki. Better than saying they're friends, what they have is a friendship that's connected at cellular level. He feels like he's a part of him, so his guard is down."
.....Right.
When It's Noto saying it really feels like he is talking about pure love and friendship ❤ however since it is Ubukata writing it also feels like ooh... 🌚 is there some kind of fucked up setting underlying that statement? That may as well have become biologically true after two years of constant crossing and an implied connection through the mir. I'm probably thinking too much.

Behind the Line
This just came in my head and I say: "Okay, how do I do it?"
Basically, I want to try something.
I want to start a series where I present a common saying like: "Show, don't tell" and then ask whether or not it's agreeable with you.
Many people will have different opinions, but it's a good thing to see how others perceive it.
...
Thinking about it, this series can also apply to common situations and stuff.
...
Looking back at some things I've seen, it's not far off from other things.
...
Also, it's been a few weeks... Will anyone ever see this?
Maybe not.
But if you're reading this... Hello, I'm just starting out.

i have lots of flaws but i do at least take a fair amount of comfort knowing that, if i were a customer NPC in a fast food/retail management game, i would be one of the chill early-level ones that can wait a super long time before they start getting impatient, and you breathe a sigh of a relief when you see them show up in a harder level

A friend of mine had this idea, and I’d love to see it in an urban fantasy: magic is real and it stays secret because it looks like bad CGI. The fakest thing ever.
People who witness magic in person can always have their minds clouded, as they have been for most of human history, but all this newfangled technology has to be handled a different way. A video camera records exactly what it sees.
So, what it sees is … something that looks laughably fake. For any time period. The various secret magicians of the world make a point to keep their spells up to date with the current mundane trends — some of them even have running contests for who can make the most fake-looking spell.
I imagine they have a great time doing it. I sure would.

Prompt 74
When a new black-haired blue-eyed person appeared in the manor, one could easily be forgiven for thinking that Bruce’s adoption problem had struck again. So color many a batkid surprised that no, this kid isn’t a new sibling, no he didn’t get grabbed from the street, and actually he’s here for Alfred. Apparently Alfred never found it important to mentioned that he has a husband- that the kid kind of implies isn’t human what with the casual way he says he himself is half human- and that this kid is apparently their child. For once it’s Bruce’s turn to come home to a surprise sibling.
Danny on the other hand just learned that his Clockpa has a semi-mortal partner who has offered to take him in, (in another dimension even! And there’s aliens!!) while the ancient takes care of some stuff at home. And yeah it’s in a rich-manor but Sam has proved that not all rich people are evil, and based off of Mr Pennyworth’s stories the Waynes weren’t bad either. Though based off of the others’ reactions perhaps he should wait to mention that there wasn’t one new family member but three…

I can’t get enough of Soushi in BTL. I think BTL has the cutest Soushi
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I 100% agree! Soushi is always handsome, but he's extra cute in Behind the Line!
He made some pretty cute expressions in this spin-off episode. I also loved the scenes where Kazuki commented on him being awkward. Soushi is awkward in the most adorable ways! But he can also go from cute nerd to badass battle commander and strategist on a dime. I love him so much!

Soushi might have sprinted to his room right after he finished his “business”.
Now that you mentioned it, I’m totally agree: “nobody went to his room”. Wasn’t it too convenient? The scene gives the impression as if that particular scene was scrapped/roughly edited to give & not to give any suggestion.
Hm yeah. The flow of time is a bit weird because we don't see Soushi go back to Alvis after that and it cuts to the next day. That's the magic of having an ensemble cast, probably. Mostly. Still want the doujins tho.
Tbh knowing Soushi, the prospect of having commander Fumihiko see him sleep like that would probably make him wake up and leave immediately. Well, maybe since HaE their relationship became more relaxed, as it seems to be normal for him to spend time at their home anyway.
I think what it being edited like that may be implying is two things 1. that Soushi at that moment was beginning to step down from his role as a guide and 2. that Kazuki is a lone dog son of a bitch (by novel Kouyou™) after all and no matter how close one gets to him no one knows his heart = room.
And his room is small and empty.

"will lokius go canon this season?" thats the not the question here. It's marvel. I know they won't. But i want to see just how close they will get to it. How much will they get away with? How much of the story they want to tell will make it through?
