HOLY SHIT YALL
TWST fandom, I’m gonna need y’all to stick with me. I just watched Descendants: The Royal Wedding (because I binged the whole series with my friends to review it) and I need to talk about it.
At the end of the animation, Mal says (paraphrasing) that this is her happy ending, but another story could just be beginning. Then it pans over to a bunch of roses painted red and a rabbit hole (to wonderland).
Look, my sister and I often joke about “what if Malleus was Mal’s son”, but… I’m sorry- did they just close the series with an allusion to the story continuing in wONDERLAND? Perhaps even a tWISTED wonderland??
I mean I know Yana Toboso admitted to being inspired by Descendants. I’m crying and screaming and yelling right now. I’ve been strongly arguing that TWST is just Descendants but better- but what if - AAAA

I looked up the age of the child actors for young Xiao Lanhua (Xiyun) and Dongfang Qingcang because I thought that would be indicative of what their canon ages at the time should be.
Xiao Lanhua’s was eleven when the show filmed, which yeah that tracks. I always imagined her as 10-11 when she was sealed away.
But bb DFQC’s was also eleven, and wow if that isn’t the most excruciating thing I’ve ever heard. Eleven!! When he survived endless torture and was forced to kill his own father!! When he was put on the throne. He wasn’t even a preteen yet. I hate it so much.

my fiancee's parents: actually we're not really supportive of your relationship/upcoming wedding with him because we think he groomed you due to the age difference between you two and when you started dating
my fiancee, who held all the relationship dynamic power because of that age gap: ...
me, who is asexual/aromantic and never had sex with/or anything close to it with my fiancee: ...
us, who have been engaged for 2 years and started this relationship long-distance and who have never heard this "concern" brought up before: ...
our polycule partners who have seen how our relationship/dynamic works: ... it's because your parents are transphobic motherfu-

Does anyone in the Tomorrow series ever actually... tell Ellie that what happened in NZ wasn't her fault?? That it's absolutely different to what Lee chose to do, in that she had her choice taken away? That it's not lame or weak or a reflection on her in any way? Because I know the way she's dealing with it is realistic for a lot of people but I also think it's really important that a series aimed at kids acknowledges that it wasn't her fault instead of inadvertently teaching them that it's okay to internalise all this, and by extension that Ellie was right to blame herself. Idk. I just know that if I had read the series through when I first started it at 12, I would have learnt from Ellie, and it's getting hard to read now, thinking that some kids would have.

"SL Ragnarok is a BL" just has to be one of the funniest things I've heard on a hanging threat like– mate I freaking wish but is there literally anyone out there in the SL world that wants Sung Suho as a partner?
Not a single girl with romantic interest has approached him in the span of 150+ chapters, it's definetly the same for boys.
Jin woo at least showed some attraction with JuHee and Cha at this point in the story, meanwhile the only thing on Suhos mind is killing.

one like. sonic fandom shipping trope i guess is what you'd call it. that really annoys me is when people have amy move on from sonic but then immediately get with someone who looks like him (or is said to look like him in shadows case) or is a copy of him in some way. and have that be part of the reason she likes them. or when people have sonics rivals/copies try to get amy to like them more as a way of proving they're better than him or something than out of genuine interest in her. i can't even explain why i find this stuff annoying i just do

𝙻𝙾𝙲𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 : the lion & the snitch pub, horizont alley !
barwork, as the age old saying goes, wasn’t much ; but it was honest work. healing was only really considered a transferrable skill if she had the appropriate documentation to practice in muggle london - which in her circumstance was difficult to come by - or a wand to make use of what she had been taught during her first war years at st mungo’s. returning to the wixen world was not a decision that they had made lightly but for mary, actually rejoining it, accepting a place within it, was another story altogether. she’d made plenty of promises to caradoc over the past year about appointments at ollivanders to solve the main issue and letters written for jobs at the hospital, and these white lies were remarkably easy and totally unsustainable, in the long run. she knew it was only a matter of time before something or someone prompted her further, so she made sure to appreciate the hours spent behind the bar. working at the heart of wixen london while remaining so firmly off the beaten track was a nice middleground - one foot in, one foot out, still with the freedom to leave at any time. it kept her busy and taught her plenty, and mary was in no rush to change that and so makes herself inexpendable as the best barmaid she can be, moving to action before she’s ever even called upon. “can i get you a top up, pet?” she asks with a friendly smile, wiping away a spill from the surface of the bar with the rag that she’s carrying. “or anything for the road?”

messed around on picrew to design the respective families cuz i ran outta energy to draw lol
[picrew link here]
the Jamesons:
left to right there's: andrew (father), amelia (mother), elias (their kid)
and the DeAngelos:
left to right there's: marcus (eldest son), dominic (middle son), elizabeth (youngest daughter)
i came up w the names n designs on the spot, so they may change but like. yeah. its them i guess. also like... dont ask what happened to dominics parents i dont wanna talk about it
also obv, very very rough appearances due to the limitations of picrew, but still!! its all roughly as i want it to be style vise. i am gonna actually draw everyone later, so, consider this a rough draft for the characters
