Bayek meeting Desmond?
Like, Desmond gets transported back to Egyptian times and becomes a merchant or protector of some small town, and Bayek comes waltzing through.
They meet and Desmond (who may be a bit thick) doesn't connect the Hidden Ones/Assassin/Medjay relationship. And Bayek just sees this guy who might be Greek and obviously isn't Egyptian protecting this small Egyptian town. Chaos ensues.
Romance may bloom?
It would be possible for Desmond to not put two and two together because he’s never even heard of the Hidden Ones and only saw Amunet’s statue as a ‘proto-Assassin’.
There’s also this sense of loyalty he feels towards the ‘Assassin Brotherhood’ as a title because of his Bleed of Altaïr.
As far as he knows, their Creed started with the Brotherhood.
And the Hidden Ones do their best to stay out of sight after what had happened before in Sinai.
It also helps that the small town he decided to dig his roots in was an out of the way peaceful town.
They rarely get visitors and, even when they do, those people turn out to either be a relative of one or more of the townspeople or a traveler who got lost.
Desmond got a small house with a small plot of land that can be converted to farmland by saving the son of the village chief who had been chased by a pack of wild animals and had to climb a tree in fear.
Desmond had just been passing by, debating if he should try his luck in going to what would later be called Levant or to just… stop somewhere and try to build a life there.
He was so tired.
So very tired.
And the people of the town had been kind to him. They didn’t ask why he was traveling all by himself.
They even stopped asking about his past after Desmond told them it was a ‘not a kind one’.
And now, here he was…
Working on his farm using the knowledge he had from the small farm that the Farm had, the books Altaïr and Ezio had read during their lifetime about agriculture and the tips and suggestions from his neighbors and fellow townspeople.
And one day…
He appears.
Bayek of Siwa.
He calls himself a traveler.
A few drinks later and he admits to being the last Medjay, traveling the lands to ensure its peace and to help those who need a hand.
Desmond had simply been in the village’s house with most of the men because they wished to present a united front in front of a traveler armed to the teeth.
Desmond saw his missing ring finger and thought of it as a coincidence.
Then…
Their paths intersect once more while Desmond was out in the wilderness near the town, bow in hand and quiver filled with arrows to hunt.
They met by accident and Bayek admits that he heard there were ruins nearby.
Desmond heard the tale, of course.
An ancient city, deep underground, holding the ground from caving in and burying everything with strong stable pillars too many to count.
Desmond has heard of the tales.
And he knew the name.
To be more exact…
His Bleed of Altaïr knew of the name…
Imar.
The fabled City of Pillars.
He also knows that this city was supposed to be somewhere in Levant or near Levant, not here in Egypt.
The tale the villagers would tell their children was that it wasn’t a city.
It was an underground road that would lead to the fabled city.
Desmond never saw anything, not even his Eagle Vision could find anything of interest in this town or anywhere nearby.
The most interesting thing his Eagle Vision had pinged was the gold in the village chief’s house and that was actually the chest where he stored the funds he would use to maintain the towns’ buildings and roads.
But if this man believes he can find that city then Desmond felt the need to follow him.
Because if there really was an underground city or a road that would lead to it nearby?
That could only mean…
There was an Isu facility nearby.
… and perhaps a POE as well.
.
.
.
Cue a DLC-length storyline of Bayek looking for an underground city with a mysterious young man who seems to embody the core principles of a Hidden One.

UraIchi Week 2024
Monday, July 1st, 2024 - Sunday, July 7th, 2024
AO3 Collection
Full Prompts List Submitted This Year
(Click images to enlarge. Alt text under the cut.)
What is UraIchi Week?
It’s a week-long fanworks event to promote the Urahara Kisuke x Kurosaki Ichigo ship. There’s no sign-up, it’s just for fun, and everybody can participate. Completed works and wips are both acceptable, and any type of fanwork (fanfic, fanart, gifsets, etc.) is welcome. NSFW and/or potentially trigger-y content is allowed, although please remember to tag your works properly.
The ship itself can be written romantically or platonically, as lovers or friends or even enemies, so long as it stars these two characters together in some way. Poly ships are also fine so long as Ichigo and Kisuke are still the focus of the fanwork. And crossovers and fusions are also allowed even if it isn’t one of the given prompts for the event. Basically, anything goes, and the only criteria is that it has to be UraIchi-centric.
Posting:
UraIchi Week is hosted here on Tumblr and on AO3. For posts on Tumblr, remember to ping @uraichievents and tag #UraIchi Week 2024. For AO3, you can add your work(s) to the collection linked up above. You are also welcome to join the UraIchi Discord server if you haven’t already and come and talk about what you’re working on!

SVSSS | The absolute GENIUS meanings behind the name Shen Yuan 沈垣
Ok so most of us already know the meaning of SY 'cause it's in the appendix of the official translation books but I was today years old when I realised just how much meaning MXTX embedded into this name. *spoilers ahead*
Level 1 Meta
Official translation of the word Yuan垣 means wall. But not just any wall, a wall that surrounds something else. It would be specifically used to describe city wall 城垣 or garden fence 花垣 would use this character. This is incredibly fitting for Shen Yuan because his whole story arc is his battle between his logical conscience for survival and his compassionate gut instinct to protect LBH, in other words, to surround and to shield LBH from harm. But this wall of protection functioned against Bingqiu psychologically because SY kept on making decisions without talking to LBH and decided a lot of things on his own. SVSSS is a novel about achieving that balance, to allow both partners to take agency and face life side by side.
Level 2 Meta
Normally, surnames don't have any meaning. Shen沈 is largely used as a name for things/people buttttttt it can also mean liquid or to pour. Guess what, Luo Binghe 洛冰河 means Luo frozen river. So it could be interpreted that Shen Yuan's entire job in the novel is to make LBH achieve his final crybaby form by getting the frozen river Luo to melt, to "pour".
Also, SY made himself melt as well in a way, his internalized homophobia potential toxic masculinity as well as his need to maintain a cool composure were also things he needed to overcome. We finally see him cry for real in the 3rd book, right after LBH scolds him out of anger and worry. Our protagonist learns to break his own walls down and show emotionally vulnerable parts of himself to LBH.
Level 3 Meta
Chinese characters are made up of radicals, meaning more complicated looking characters are made up of simpler characters (radicals) that give clues to their meaning and pronunciation.
Shen沈 is made up of the radicals:
氵 [ shuǐ ] water 💦
冘 [ yín ] can mean to move on OR doubtful of something/someone
The water radical氵💦 occurs in all three characters in Luo Binghe 洛冰河. This can mean that Shen has influence on Luo Binghe's development and overall life. It also reaffirms their compatibility as as couple. I mean let’s be honest, SQQ cries inwardly and LBH cries outwardly, they are both crybabies.
yín冘 perfect describes the base functionality of SY's character; he has a strong survival instinct but is also extremely doubtful of everyone's intentions, especially LBH's.
Yuan垣 is made up of the radicals:
土 [ tǔ ] soil, earth; items made of earth 🌎
亘 [ gèn ] to extend across (dimension/space), through; from 🚀
I find it so fucking funny that MXTX took the tǔ土 soil radical seriously and literally just had SY zombie-himself out of the dirt after 5 years. But it's also really poetic that it once again goes perfectly with LBH's name; the river and earth go hand-in-hand. no wonder LBH asked for Shizun's hand in marriage. 😳😳😳
gèn亘 perfectly describes SY as a transmigrator, someone who travelled across dimension and space. But also SY is really the ultimate sightseer of SVSSS, casually crossing between the human realm and demon realm while also going on road trips with SQH. It's honestly so fucking mint. But I'm here to point out to you how Xin Mo 心魔 LBH's sword (heart demon) is how LBH travels across dimension/space for the majority of the book.
Ultimately, Yuan垣 highlights the importance of finding a home in the people you love. Bingqiu both enjoy that sightseeing lifestyle but the book constantly has important relationship developments, smexy times and domestic Bingqiu set in the Bamboo House. Ultimately, no matter how far you travel, run or chase, you cannot get away from your problems. You need to extend and make effort in understanding and communicating with your SO 🚀 and work on feeling grounded 🌎 in your relationship together.

Too Soft to Be a Pirate

Izzy Hands x Reader (GN)
Chapter 2: A Damned Man
Summary: Following the events of Season 1 Episode 2 of Our Flag Means Death. You've been on Blackbeard's crew for a year. You and Edward are secretly great friends. Izzy gets bested by Stede Fucking Bonnet and you try to cheer him up.
{Masterlist}

{Next Chapter}
With his spyglass in hand, Izzy fixed his gaze upon the ship Ivan had spotted, now stranded on the shore. “Fucking idiots” he muttered to himself lowering the telescope from his eye. Standing on the quarterdeck, he surveyed the crew, and his eyes locked onto you. You were helping Ivan prepare the dinghy for the trip ashore.
Izzy was surprised you had lasted a year on Queen Anne’s Revenge. You proved to be a hardworking deckhand, effortlessly completing your tasks around the ship. However, what set you apart from the rest of the little shits on the crew was your respectfulness. Unlike the pirates Izzy was accustomed to leading, you never talked back, obediently followed orders and treated him with kindness. That was the problem. You were too fucking soft to be a pirate and you made the rest of the crew weak.
Izzy had observed that during raids, Ivan always positioned himself closer to you, acting as a protective shield against the stray swipe of an enemy's sword should they get too close. You returned the favor by assisting him in collecting gold teeth from the fallen enemies. On shore leave, if the crew went out together and you drank too much, Fang would carry you on his back to the ship. You were constantly doing favors for the rest of the crew, and even Izzy himself. The crew loved you, and were protective of you. There was no room for love on a pirate ship. Even though Izzy consistently recommended dropping you off at the nearest port, Blackbeard insisted on keeping you on the crew.
Blackbeard joined Izzy on the quarterdeck, his eyes following the same direction as Izzy's — towards you. "How's our little mouse doing, Iz?" Blackbeard asked with a smug grin.
Izzy’s demeanor hardened, feeling embarrassed that he had been caught staring at you. He grimaced at the nickname he had inadvertently given you the first day he discovered you aboard the Queen Anne. Ed now used the nickname fondly whenever asking about your progress. Surprisingly, it turned out to be an appropriate nickname for you. You were quiet and quick, very challenging to catch in a swordfight. Most of the time, you were relatively gentle unless the situation demanded you to be aggressive.
"They're doing fine, Edward," Izzy grumbled to his Captain, rolling his eyes. "I don't know why you insist on keeping them on this crew. They aren't a pirate."
"They look like a pirate to me," Edward insisted, gazing down at you, dressed in all black. "They’ve made it this long, which I think is pretty impressive."
"They’ve made it this long because you ordered me to keep them alive, Captain," Izzy shot back, glaring at Blackbeard.
"You're right, and that's a standing order, Iz," Blackbeard whispered with a smirk, inches away from Izzy. He condescendingly patted Izzy's face before giving the order, "Go get us some hostages," and then headed back to his cabin.
You watched the dinghy as Izzy, Ivan, and Fang drifted farther away from your ship toward the shore. Then you began making your way to the Captain’s quarters — a routine you were accustomed to when Izzy wasn’t on the ship or when he was attending to other matters.
In the initial few months of your time on the Queen Anne’s Revenge, your conversations with Blackbeard were infrequent, typically happening on deck during the quiet nights when you were on watch and no one else was around. You felt at ease around him, and it was evident that he was comfortable in your presence as well. As your interactions became more frequent, he invited you to drop by his cabin whenever you had the time to talk. You kept your interactions with Ed between the two of you, recognizing that this level of kindness wasn't extended to the rest of the crew.
You knocked before letting yourself in. "Hey, Cap," you said sweetly, then settled cross-legged on your usual chair across from Blackbeard’s desk. He lounged with his legs up on his desk, occupied with the task of sharpening his knife.
"Whose ship is that stuck on shore?" you asked curiously. "They have like four different pirate flags, and I don’t recognize a single one. I actually like their cat flag. We should consider stealing it.”, you said with a grin.
"You would like that flag, wouldn't you?" Edward chuckled, rolling his eyes. "I actually don't know who they are. They have English hostages though, which wouldn't be a bad profit for us."
You observed as Ed’s eyebrows furrowed, deep in thought. You watched him fondly, and tried to guess the thought that was on his mind. “They have English hostages, but they also ran their ship aground?”, you asked, raising your eyebrows.
"Pretty fucking intriguing, don't you think?" he exclaimed, excitement gleaming in his eyes. He stuck his knife sharply into his desk, leaving it standing upright, before continuing. "What kind of pirate has four different flags flying on their ship? That’s insane. It makes no sense."
You offered a nonchalant shrug, finding amusement in your Captain’s curiosity in this other ship. Over the past year, it was very rare to see Blackbeard captivated by anything. It was clear to you that the pirate lifestyle was growing stale for him. “Pretty fucking intriguing” you echoed with a smile. “I reckon that’s worth a closer look”.
“See”, Blackbeard remarked with a grin, playfully wagging his finger at you, “This is why I like having you here. You don’t have all these irritating opinions about what a pirate should be. Pirates have no fucking imagination” he finished harshly. He got lost in thought again before mumbling “Izzy should take a page from your book.”
“He’s just doing what he thinks is right”, you countered gently, “He’s only looking out for you and the rest of the crew... Mostly you.”
A mischievous glint appeared in your Captain's eye, a look typically reserved for moments when you stood up for Izzy. "How's it going with you and our first mate?" he mocked playfully, leaning forward in his chair. This was Edward’s favorite topic of conversation.
After spending about six months on the Queen Anne's Revenge, against your better judgment, you found yourself harboring an undeniable crush on Izzy Hands. You were terrible at hiding your feelings, a trait that Blackbeard, Ivan, and Fang took great pleasure in teasing you about. Thankfully, Izzy seemed oblivious, likely preoccupied with the challenging task of navigating Ed’s ever-changing moods.
After Edward discovered your feelings for his first mate, he seemed to find every excuse to force you and Izzy to spend time together. He ordered Izzy to teach you sword fighting and wouldn't accept no for an answer. While you appreciated the lessons, given that Izzy was an exceptional fighter, you couldn't shake the feeling that Ed was relishing in the chaos. You imagined these frequent lessons were only serving to increase Izzy's annoyance with your presence on the ship.
You playfully glared at Blackbeard, the lack of real anger evident in your eyes. "You're well aware of how it’s going," you muttered, "He hates me. And even if he didn't, he only has eyes for one person on this ship”.
He rolled his eyes at your statement before playfully continuing with his teasing, “You've got weird taste in men. To be fair though, I shouldn't be surprised. The last guy you liked threw you off a ship.”
You shot him the middle finger, accompanied by a sarcastic smile. Deciding to leave before the teasing could intensify, you stood up to go. “I’m going to sneak back later to hear more about this mysterious ship stuck on the beach.” you declared. You left his cabin quickly, but popped your head back in. "I think we really should consider flying a flag with a cat on it," you suggested.
"Fuck off," he responded with a playful shake of his head.
When your three crew mates returned later that afternoon with an English hostage in their custody, you noticed Ivan with a hand over his nose, blood staining his fingers. Fang escorted the English officer into the brig, while Izzy headed straight to the Captain’s quarters.
You rushed toward Ivan, concern painted across your face. "What happened?" you exclaimed.
"Some bastard hurled a massive rock at my nose," Ivan growled with anger.
You guided him below deck to help assess the damage. Ivan leaned his head on your lap, recounting the events of his afternoon as you cleaned the blood from his face with a rag and warm water. You listened attentively, as you always did when Ivan talked with you about his day. "Think it's broken?" Ivan asked after recounting his story.
“I don’t think so,” you replied, examining Ivan's face, “but I am not an expert in medicine or noses.”
"That's fair," Ivan mumbled, appreciating your honesty. "I'll survive. It's not the first time I've taken a hit, and it won't be the last."
You and Ivan returned to the deck to join Fang. The three of you watched the distant ship slowly move off the beach.
“Well there go those fancy boys”, Fang huffed.
“Shame we couldn’t murder ‘em”, Ivan grumbled, “Even a little bit of murder would’ve been nice.”
You squeezed Ivan’s arm gently and offered him an apologetic smile.
Izzy walked up to join the three of you, eyeing the distant vessel. “Captain says follow that ship”, Izzy stated with a hint of exasperation.
“Oh, really, why?” Fang whined.
“How should I know, the man’s half insane. Just do it”, Izzy snapped, yanking Fang’s beard closer to his face. “No one asked you to fuckin’ think”.
“I hate it when he does that. It really hurts”, Fang complained, quickly moving away from Izzy.
“You should say something about it”, Ivan whispered as the three of you headed to the opposite side of the ship, away from the seething first mate.
“Ah, What’s the point? I can’t believe that Blackbeard wants to meet that ponce”, Fang muttered angrily.
“What a knob”, Ivan replied.
You subtly smiled to yourself, fully aware of why Edward wanted to meet the man who had gotten the upper hand on his first mate. You playfully reached up to scratch Fang's beard gently, mimicking Izzy’s previous action but with a loving touch. “I’m sorry you all had a shit day”, you expressed sympathetically.
You watched Izzy silently fume, glaring into the ocean, and cast a concerned glance his way. "What if I asked him to practice sword fighting tonight?" you suggested quietly, directing your question to Ivan and Fang.
“He might just decide to skewer you,” Ivan remarked with certainty.
"Oh very nice," you replied sarcastically, rolling your eyes. "Maybe a sword fight is just what he needs to blow off some steam. He’ll knock me on my ass like he always does and it’ll take his mind off of today".
"It's your funeral," Fang added with a sly grin.
"Well, if Izzy turns me into a human pin cushion, I demand a burial at sea,” you joked, sealing the comment with a kiss on Fang's cheek. Then, you walked toward Izzy apprehensively.
"Izzy, sir?" you asked in a calm tone, positioning yourself next to him against the ship's railing. His expression stiffened as he turned to face you upon hearing your voice.
"Did those twats send you to mock me for losing to that fancy fucker at swordplay?" Izzy spat with venom in his voice. "I won't tolerate insults from a second-rate pirate like yourself, especially one who's shit with a sword."
“No,” you replied quietly. It was clear why Izzy would be defensive; you had witnessed the satisfaction Edward and the rest of the crew took in teasing him. “Considering what Ivan told me, It sounded more like an ambush, very unprofessional of them. If it was a real fight, I know you would have won”, you offered with a genuine but shy smile in response.
For a brief moment, before catching himself, it appeared as if Izzy might return the smile. Izzy examined you curiously, attempting to figure out the game you were playing. "What do you want, then?" he asked, his tone softer than before.
"Well, speaking of me being a second-rate pirate who's shit at swordplay… I was wondering if you'd be up for another lesson," you asked, your tone a mix of nervousness and humor.
“Fine”, Izzy responded curtly.
As Izzy and you sparred with your swords, the scene was charged with intensity and focus. Izzy, confident and skilled, moved with precision and control. His eyes gleamed with sharpness, and every motion carried the fluidity of someone well-versed in the art of combat. In contrast, you were determined but less polished. You met Izzy’s moves with a mix of nervousness and eagerness. The rhythmic clashing of swords echoed through the air, the sound of steel on steel resonating across the ship’s deck.
As you headed below deck to meet Ivan and Fang after the lesson, Izzy's voice called out to you, "You're improving." You felt your heart skip a beat. Turning around, you offered him a grateful smile before rushing off to join your mates.
Izzy watched you departing, a smile unintentionally forming on his face before he quickly composed himself. “Fuck,” he muttered, his thoughts circling back to what had been on his mind earlier that morning. While Izzy would never admit it, he had begun growing quite fond of your company. You seemed to possess the ability to see through people’s facades and give them what they needed in the moment. He had long understood why Ivan and Fang were so protective of you and why they treated you differently from everyone else on the crew. You could break down people’s defenses and make them feel safe. That’s why he knew he needed you off this ship as soon as possible – you were a liability.

Not Miraculous Ladybug but since I heard you're a fan of Code Lyoko, I wanted to ask a few questions if that's cool. Who's your fav character and why? What's your favorite and least favorite thing about each main character? Fav side character? Favorite episode? Favorite XANA attack? Are we all in agreement that Clone William is best boi? Anything else you want to say about it that no one's asked before? Sorry this if this is a lot, lol.
Favorite Character: Aelita. She easily went through the most development over the course of the show, going from a walking plot device to a capable fighter in her own right.
Favorite Things About the Characters:
Ulrich: He easily has the coolest powers in Lyoko. Twin swords, super speed, duplication, and an awesome bike.
Odd: Similarly, I like how Odd's powers are handled. It's clear that compared to the others, his are the least practical (cat features, a limited supply of "laser arrows", and a shield), but he manages to hold his own through his quick thinking.
Yumi: I like the way she has to struggle the most balancing her personal life with her Lyoko duties. Unlike the others, she lives with her family, so she has to deal with family drama, and that's not getting into what happens once William gets involved.
Aelita: Again, it's the way she goes from a standard damsel in distress to becoming the de facto leader of the team when Jeremie isn't around.
Jeremie: It's really interesting to see Jeramie act as the leader of the team when he isn't much of a fighter, almost like a young Professor X. The other four may fight XANA directly, but Jeramie gets a lot more done. When XANA wiped out Lyoko, Jeramie managed to recreate the entire world, give the other four upgrades to their powers, and create a submarine for the team to use.
Least Favorite Things About the Characters
Ulrich/Yumi: Putting them together because this one is obvious. The "will they or won't they?" stuff. It just got old, and even after Season 3, which has Yumi try to say she just wants to be friends, the show still rode with this.
Odd: He's funny, but there are still times when he can be pretty annoying.
Aelita: There are admittedly times were it felt like the show kept coming up with ways to endanger her. It made sense in Season 1, but by Season 3, it felt a little excessive that XANA needed her to destroy Lyoko.
Jeremie: I always found it disappointing that we never got to see his Lyoko form.
Favorite Side Character: Jim
Favorite Episode: "Aelita"
Favorite XANA Attack: "Temporary Insanity"

Herald of Iomedae: The Hand of the Inheritor
Tumblr media
CR 15
Lawful Good Large Outsider
Inner Sea Gods, pg. 292 (image from the Wrath of the Righteous video game!)
Among the most famous of the Divine Heralds is the first one we'll be looking at during Heralds of Hope Month. I say 'most famous' for a few reasons; he's one of the most active Heralds on the planet, what with that whole Worldwound problem going on in the north. There is rarely a moment's rest allowed for the Hand of the Inheritor in the tireless battle against the Abyss' expansion, so it's perhaps no small surprise surprise that he would eventually make a terrible and tragic mistake and end up the mercy of someone without any.
There's other reasons he's famous, in and out of universe, and those reasons are why he's no longer the Herald of Iomedae.
But this isn't talking about the now, we're still in the then! When he was at his strongest, healthiest, and least corrupted most devoted to the ideals of the Inheritor Goddess. Fittingly enough for the servant of what is essentially the Goddess of Paladins, the Hand is an angel blessed with the powers of a Paladin, built for and unafraid to put himself right in the middle of a pitched battle and cut his way through Evil like a hot knife while they struggle ineffectually to harm him. Like all angels, he's protected by a 20ft "nuh-uh" bubble that shields himself and all his allies from Evil creatures, granting them and him +4 to AC and to saving throws versus Evil creatures and effects, while also hedging out Evil summoned creatures and stopping any spell of 3rd level or lower from entering this sphere of protection, stripping many fiendish minions of their ranged options.
But of course, that's just what every angel can do. Let's look at what the Hand's unique powers have in store...
HAH, gotcha! The Hand of the Inheritor has no unique powers! I wasn't joking when I said he was basically an angel with Paladin class levels. ... except not really, because an angel with Paladin class levels would actually be much better than the poor Hand actually ends up being. But we'll get to that in a moment, so first, the positives!
Perhaps fittingly for a man who finds himself fighting alongside the front lines against demons, the Hand is just as useful bolstering his allies as he is actually leaping ahead of them into the fray. He has Aid, Lesser Restoration, Dispel Magic, and Magic Weapon all at-will, can grant himself or his allies Bull's Strength or Resist Energy 3/day, can swath the battlefield in a calming Prayer up to 3/day, and give everyone around him some extra stats and 18 temp HP with Burst of Glory 3/day. Any ally that falls in the midst of battle may be re-raised with his 3/day Raise Dead, but actually killing anyone he's trying to protect in order to draw out that resurrection is incredibly hard because of his 1/days: Death Ward, Dispel Evil, Greater Restoration, and Heal.
Killing HIM is even more annoying, because he's got 15 charges of Lay on Hands, which means +9d6 hitpoints for him as a swift action, IF you manage to get past his 32 AC. With such a menagerie of protective magic, you may think he's got no room for offense, to which I answer: 3/day Flame Strike, Holy Smite AND Order's Wrath to bring down on his foes from a distance, smiting entire crowds of them at once, and of course that's nothing compared to what happens when he gets in close. His 150ft flight speed lets him cross entire battlefields in seconds and settle down to begin Full-Attacking up to four times a round with his +2 Holy Longsword for 2d6+9 (+2d6 vs Evil) damage. Not only does he have a threatening sword, but his shield isn't just for defense, and he can indeed bash someone twice a round with his +2 Heavy Steel Shield for 1d6+5 damage. Anyone slammed by his shield is subject to a free Bull Rush attempt from the Herald as well, letting him reposition dangerous enemies as he needs.
Quite the force! But, sadly, that's about where everything of particular note ends. His Protective Aura is always on, and he's also got a 10ft Aura of Courage to grant his allies +4 against fear effects... But nothing else. Why, exactly, he lacks any of the other aura abilities a Paladin of his HD would have is a question I have no good answer for, and while he DOES have Lay on Hands (9d6 HP, 15/day), he lacks any Mercies to flavor the ability in any way or make it any more substantial... and, even more damning AND more baffling, he has no ability to Smite Evil. Given where he works, you'd think Mercies and Smite Evil would have been the second things Iomedae wrote on his sheet right after she finished giving him his gear.
Fun fact on that note, though: He wasn't originally Iomedae's Herald, he was Ragathiel's, and joined Iomedae's crusade after being awed by her skills and her sense of justice. She didn't even make him! But being the Herald of Ragathiel just makes his lack of auras, Mercies, and Smite Evil even MORE glaring, because Ragathiel has all of those.
There's also one unfortunate choice in regards to his skills that feels like a pretty big weakness: His impressive flight speed goes to waste with his lack of Fly ranks, meaning anything but a straight line is difficult for him to manage, and certain weather conditions or enemy attacks can severely impact his ability to remain airborne. He has more ranks in SWIM than in Fly! SWIM!
A lot of the Heralds in Inner Sea Gods have similar design choices, which is a huge shame, because that's where almost every Good-aligned Divine Herald is found! Whoof! His showing in the Wrath of the Righteous video game was significantly more impressive, with the ability to use Wall of Force and apply Smite Evil to entire crowds of enemies at once.
I'm not saying he's weak, no, he's actually a very powerful and stubbornly resilient melee beatstick that's outright immune to most demonic tricks and tools, but he's got some design flaws and odd choices that make it hard for someone like me to be interested in him. Perhaps this is why he's eventually superseded by someone with actual Paladin levels.
You can read more about him here.

Building Link in BG3- Ranger
Ok, this Link is more thematically fitting, but as a recreation of him it's less accurate. Also I don't have as good a grasp of the Ranger class, so this one is likely more flawed.
Hero of the Wild
This is the Link we play as, the wild child, the serial arsonist, the pun maestro. The amnesiac that saved Hyrule on instinct.
Background
Race: Half Elf (Wood Half Elf)
Background: Outlander
Race stays the same, but this Link is no knight, this is him in his second life. Living in the wilderness, exploring the countryside, traveling the land.
Abilities
Strength: 17 (+3)
Dexterity: 16 (+3)
Constitution: 13 (+1)
Intelligence: 8 (-1)
Wisdom: 10 (0)
Charisma: 10 (0)
Str, Dex, Con, and Wis stay the same, but we switch Int and Cha because this Link is the more animated and less... bright version.
Class & Levels
Class: Ranger
Proficiencies: Nature, Animal Handling, Perception
Favored Enemy: Ranger Knight
Natural Explorer: Wasteland Wanderer: Cold
Nature because duh, Animal Handling because he can ride anything with a natural seat, and Perception because he's used to being on the lookout for danger. Ranger Knight because that's really what he is. You get proficiency in History which makes no sense, but you also gain proficiency in heavy armor which makes plenty of sense, so it evens out. Wasteland Wanderer: Cold because freezing temperatures is the most common environmental danger you can come across in Hyrule.
Level 2
Fighting Style: Archery
Spells: Hunter's Mark, Goodberry
Archery because it's the most appropriate choice, Hunter's Mark because of BotW's targeting mechanic, and Goodberry because of the metric tons of apples Link tends to carry with him at all times. The fact that this Link can use spells at all is a big reason as to why this build doesn't sit right with me, but I digress.
Level 3
Subclass: Hunter
Spell: Ensnaring Strike (Ranged)
Hunter's Prey: Any
Hunter fits because whenever we play as Link, he's always searching for something and usually has to fight something big and legendary before getting it. Unless the big legendary thing is what he was looking for. Ensnaring Strike is an equivalent to stun locking in my mind. As for Hunter's Prey, you have three choices and they're all equally fine for Link. Colossus Slayer gives you extra damage to enemies not at full health. Giant Killer lets you use a reaction to attack an attacking creature that's large or larger. Horde Breaker lets you attack multiple targets if they're standing close enough to each other. They all make sense and I leave this one to you.
Level 4
Feat: Shield Master
Although the Ranger class is typically Dex-focused and Link is a capable archer, our hero is more likely to get up close and personal. So we'll go with the same policy as the Fighter build; max out Str with Ethel and Oblodra so you don't need to use a feat on Ability Improvement. Unlike the Fighter class we only get 3 feats, so we can't give him all the weapon-type feats, so take Shield Master and keep this Link with a classic sword & shield kit. With a longbow for range, of course.
Level 5
Spell: Cure Wounds
This one is just a stand-in for Link's meals and that one(?) time he cured a group with his competent cooking.
Level 6
Favored Enemy: Sanctified Stalker
Natural Explorer: Wasteland Wanderer: Hot
Sanctified Stalker doesn't make much sense outside of how he's always going on quests with god-level involvement. Another Wasteland Wanderer for the Gerudo Desert and Death Mountain.
Level 7
Spell: Lesser Restoration
Defensive Tactics: Multiattack Defense
Lesser Restoration has the same rationale as Cure Wounds. Multiattack Defense is because Link only takes hits one at a time. Enemies can't just wail on you, and now Faerun's dastards have the same issue now.
Level 8
Feat: Durable
Another returning feat from his Fighter build. Link doesn't need much time to recover. Except that one time it took a century, but that's an outlier.
Level 9
Spell: Lightning Arrow
Shock arrows.
Level 10
Favored Enemy: Bounty Hunter
Natural Explorer: Wasteland Wanderer: Poison
Bounty Hunter is just the last remaining choice that makes any sense for Link. This Wasteland Wanderer doesn't make a ton of sense because of how relatively scarce wetlands are in Hyrule, but all the eldritch goop that's been sapping his vitality over the years must make normal poison a cakewalk.
Level 11
Spell: Conjure Barrage
There's... I had a reason for this right? Oh yeah! The bows that let you shoot 3 or 5 arrows at once. Sidenote, Level 11 gives you Whirlwind Attack which is essentially a spin attack. If for no other reason, this makes Ranger Link make sense.
Level 12
Feat: Sharpshooter/Great Weapon Master
We've all had to shoot at something way above us, right? And aiming your bow is tougher than swinging a sword around, so Sharpshooter works on both levels! If that doesn't gel with you, GWM is a classic.
Ultimately, while Fighter Link is easier to play, Ranger Link is more accurate to the Link we know and gives him a couple signature Link things that can make it a unique challenge.

Nicknames for you! Pt 1
(This is inspired by @railroad-migraine -sorry for the tag!- and their nickname headcanons for Critical Role! Highly recommend checking them out!)
Tumblr media
Includes: Time, FD, Warriors
Pt 2  -  Pt 3
Time
Hon
Actually is the most commonly used pet name between you two. Using it without a second thought, it feels likes second nature the longer you two are together. At the beginning Time called you Honey, but the word slowly got shortened throughout the years. You’re unsure if stemmed from laziness or just because he liked the sound of Hon better. He won’t tell you.
Darling
Whispered in those quiet loving moments with few words exchanged. He hugs you from behind, arms wrapped around your waist, swaying together in the moonlight that shines through the window.
Cupping your face with the softest of touches, while looking at you with eyes so full of admiration and love you feel as though you might burst. You truly feel so loved when he mutters the word, like he’s uttering a pray only you could hear.
Snookums
He heard an elderly couple use it once and it got stuck in his mind like glue. Whenever he’s in a more teasing or playful mood he greatly enjoys calling you all sorts of odd and endearing nicknames, finding your reactings oh so amusing. But snookums takes the cake for his (and your) favourite.
LOVES saying it when the boys are around. He acts so lovely dovey when he uses the name, clinging to you like you’re the only thing keeping him standing, knowing how flustered you get .Those closest to hear the forsaken name let out a choruses of groans from second hand embarrassment and attempt to flee the ooey gooey scene infront of them.
Fierce Deity
My Heart
For many many years, he thought that his “heart” was nothing more the a whole in his chest. It’s been broken oh so many times that there was nothing to “put back together”, that it was simply dust and ashes that scattered in the wind.
Though he soon realize that he was wrong. When you came into his life(?), you brought a heart so full that you shared it with him. You filled that hole he’d been missing for so long, you became his heart. His reason to keep going. His reason to be better.
Dearest
You easily became the most valued and precious thing the great deity ever found. No amount of gems or offering could ever equant to a single hair on your head.
His voice rumbles ever so slight as the word rolls off his tongue, looming over you with pupil-less eyes staring you down. Any other would be petrified by the haunting sight of the ancient being, but you? You couldn’t feel more at home.
Beloved
Ever the gentlemen, the god loved nothing more than his Beloved and wanted them to know just how dear they are to him. He quite enjoys seeing them flush under his gaze and tender words, he wants them to know that their very existence gives him so much joy.
Warriors
Gorgeous/Handsome
This man thinks you’re the most stunning being that ever graced the lands of Hyrule and he is more than happy to shout that FACT from the rooftops. (no im not kidding, he will if you don’t stop him). Mostly though, he calls you that whenever he notices you’re feeling down. Hoping to turn that frown upside down.
He understands how some can be insecure about their appearance and if you happen to have to be so, then get ready for the most outlandish and poetic speech of your life. Warriors would rather fight five lynels with a wooden sword and shield than let you feel or think lesser of yourself
Babe
Most common and causal name he’ll use. Yet he most you’ll hear him say it is when he’s jealous and wants to show that you’re together.
He knows that you are more than capable to handle yourself, especially when it came to dealing with weirdos. Yet sometimes he can’t help the jealousy the bubbles in his stomach, so what does he do? Well he -of course- saunters over to where ever you may be, wraps his arm tightly around your shoulder, brings you closer to him and farer from the creep, kisses your cheek and greets you with a dashing smile and a sickly sweet voice as he states the nickname. All the while, glaring down the weirdo.
Sweetheart
A greeting in a way. Whenever you two are away from one another for however long, he always greets you the same way. A loving smile and open arms, calling out to you and becoming a beacon for you to follow. The name hangs in the air as you two collide, stumbling back as you wrap your arms around him.
(Apologizes for any typos or miss spellings!)

3 situations for each companion and advisor when Inquisitor witnessed them being competent/badass/admirable? (I hope it counts, because it's not typical "companions react" and if 3 examples for each character is too much it can be just 1!)
“Companions being Competent, Badass, or Admirable”
Alright, I put this one off for too long. I kept coming back to this one and then leaving just because I didn’t know how I wanted to write this one. But now, here it is. Hope it suffices.
-Lord Lex
Cullen
Admirable- Stood up to several templars, declaring his loyalty and trust to the Inquisition and those who were in it. If they had a problem with it, then they could take it up with him.
Badass- During battle, a shield was thrown towards him in an act to incapacitate him. Instead, he had caught it, used it to protect himself before throwing it right back at the enemy’s head.
Competent- Moving his troops. It takes a noble to talk things out and a spy master to pull the strings, but to plan out and choose movements on a battlefield while also counting for your enemy’s movements takes a soldier.
Josephine
Admirable- Holding her ground while defending the Inquisition during the trials. Quite literally telling another noble man to “fuck off”.
Badass- For one of the first times in her life, she picked up a sword and defended several allies during the diplomatic talks.
Competent- Always when she is surrounded by the court. She is full of stress and yet hides it so well when dealing with such people.
Leliana
Admirable- Her heart can be quite soft. She has taken time from her own duties to help refugees coming in, making sure they get enough supplies or food.
Badass- We all had seen her snap someone’s neck with her legs. Enough said.
Competent- As your spy master, it is her duty to know everything and anything happening in the shadows. This includes working with her fellow advisors to bringing down your enemies until there is nothing left, manuvering the perfect people to the perfect job.
Vivienne
Admirable- Has strode across a room to take you by the arm and steer you away from unsavory words, insulting them while also making sure you’re alright.
Badass- Mages should not be the forefront on a battlefield. She stepped between you and death (a dragon) to put up an ice wall, acting as if it was an every day ordeal.
Competent- Was being insulted by some mages who knew her when she was younger about being part of the Inquisition. Her response? “Don’t care, didn’t ask, seethe.”
Varric
Admirable- Stuck around with the Inquisition and believed in it (you) through everything, even if it’s disbanded. Will fight tooth and nail to support you.
Badass- Has fired off bolts while falling with precise aim. Continues to say he’s one of the best archers in your group.
Competent- Man will take most of his secrets to the grave. Anything you tell him will never be shared, even if he was tortured. He’ll keep tabs on most people, knowing most business that goes on around him.
Cole
Admirable- He’ll sit with both the templars and mages and listen. He doesn’t care who anyone is, if they wish to speak he’ll be there, to listen or to learn.
Badass- Simply had to give a look to a man, a look so empty of emotion and yet so full of rage, to make the man back down from his arguement.
Competent- Has very good memory for most things. Could recite entire books to you if asked. Has listed off war plans and marked maps exactly where Coriphitittie Corypheus and Samson were planning on attacking.
Solas
Admirable- He may say that most elves are not his people, but you’ve witnessed him defending a group from some hunters, telling them that the land they were on were sacred ground for the elves.
Badass- Has brought an entire abandonded tower down onto the heads of the enemy with a simple spell.
Competent- Man is history itself. He’ll tell you events that had happened throughout and where, saying that he witnessed them in dreams. Even the friends he has made within the fade have helped him through the years
Cassandra
Admirable- She will stick with you through thick and thin, no matter your choices. As long as you prove to be for the better and want to help, she’ll defend your word.
Badass- She’s thrown away her shield and sword to grab a hold of your group members before they fell down the side of a cliff. Was able to pull everyone back up before going right back into the fray.
Competent- She’s a battle strategist, she knows how to move and what will be more successful. And she’ll make the hard decisions if need be.
The Iron Bull
Admirable- He’ll use his body as a shield for those he cares about. He’ll stand in the way of danger to protect your group or the Chargers, just to keep everyone safe.
Badass- Has run head first at a dragon. Doesn’t seem smart but it distracted it long enough for everyone to take it down. Bull held on like he was riding the bull.
Competent- It’s not all muscles and brawn. He, too, is a battle strategist (second best to Cassandra). He’ll take in to account everything and anything that can happen to the point where you can hear him say “Just as expected.”
Dorian
Admirable- Most people called Dorian selfish in the beginning. It might’ve been a little true, but now he’d give up whatever there is to help others. Including some old clothes he had had to help pay for some food for the soldiers and refugees.
Badass- A single flame spell that he used to trigger off several traps, catching the enemy off guard. No one had even seen the traps nor knew they were there.
Competent- Not just a pretty face, you know. Has made it his goal to know true historical events as well as sharing them along with magic and other secrets that were well kept.
Sera
Admirable- She’ll chuck a jar of bees or give a haymaker to whoever you want her to. And she’s done it just out of spite for you.
Badass- The only time you’ve seen her dead serious was when she took down several lackies in a few seconds before going up to a leader and punching him. Proceeded to threaten him, that if he ever showed his face again that she’ll send him to the Fade. And she’s been there.
Competent- Acts like she doesn’t understand most things, but that’s just because it’s not explained in her way. She has secret codes, names, dealings, and friends all over since Red Jenny’s growth.
Blackwall
Admirable- For those who know his real name and have beef, he takes it. He’ll accept whatever for his past if only to help heal the pain he might’ve caused for others.
Badass- His shield has been both his defense and his weapon. Lost his sword but didn’t stop him as he rammed and used the edge of it to cut down his enemies.
Competent- Will fight to the end, whether with sword or with words. No the most eloquent but he knows when someone needs defending and he’ll gladly take it upon himself to make sure people are ok.

Lu little details (2)
Following the last post I made, which, to be honest, hadn’t thought would be read as much as it has been (given the fact that the last update was some time ago I was not expecting to see that much people reading about linkeduniverse), here I bring more little details that always manage to surprise me, and show the thought behind.
1. Legend is, in fact, reading an actual in-game quote from Mipha’s diary. I know maybe this one is not shocking but it’s always appreciated.
2. The variety of items they use. It’s not just reduced to the most obvious ones, their sword, shield, and bow (being recognisable and distinguishible the designs of each. There you go, more and more details). We also can see items, such as the hookshot, the clawshot, the whip, fire, ice and dominion rods, or even the stasis of the skeikah slate. And some others but not being used, like the rest of items Legend hoards.
3. Does Legend asking Four what he thinks about upgrading the master sword count as a reference to games detail or personalities/opinion detail? However, there it is. While Legend has in fact done that, Four seems somewhat averse to the use of magic swords.
4. An obvious reference to Breath of the Wild is Wild breaking his swords several times. Another detail that may be a little less obvious, not because it’s hard to get but because it may get forgotten, is Wild saying “I’m just glad this wasn’t my good shield”. As we know, Wild probably has a wide range of weapons, and I find really close to my BotW experience the not using the “good shield” case except for accounted occasions. In fact, we never see him using any of the highest damage weapons in his game. Probably this is because he won’t have them in the comic.
5. Just like the Links, all monsters are mixed. Regardless of the Hyrule ore time period thay are in monsters from all games have been showing. I think it’s more than on purpose the fact that after Wind recieves his mail monsters from the Great Sea show up. Like, Time says it. So no, not a big reveal but...
Tumblr media
6. Usually little posts not focused on the storyline, due to their purpose, have a huge amount of references, usually shown in a rather comical way. From Legend and the floor tiles, Four frustrated cause no one knows who Vaati is, Time advising Hyrule not to drink from the well, to Malon and the aliens or that impossibly endless magic bag our hero carries around. I  love every single one of these.
7. Twilight thinks of Midna several times. I’m not just talking about when he literaly refers to a princess beatuiful as the setting sun who shatterd his heart into a million pieces, but also when he looks at his shadow in a rather nostalgic way, which, of course, it’s not a common thing to do.
8. Four and that combat againts the octorok. I personally suffered that battle just like he describes it. And I ought to remark Legend’s snarky comment because, even as a short person, found it funny. (I’m gonna end up having to make a post for each Link cause I could also add a lot about this two but about more subjective matters)
9. Wild uses the ladle Sky carved him. And the fact that Sky actually carves is like one of the nicest character details as a reference to the game so far. It’s easy to skip that detail in the game itself so props for adding that.
10. Time loves to quote, and this time, he is quoting his future self. I the comic, when he finishes a fight along Wind, he tells him: “In every battle, you have a little more of the look of a hero” which is oddly similar to what he says to his descendant in Twilight Princess: “You have a little more of the look of a hero than you did before”. Not complaining. Any reference to the Hero’s Shade makes me happier.
11. All that conversation between Twilight and the veteran turned into a bunny is full of references to their games that, obviously, happen to be past events in the heroe’s lifes that may or may not have had a big impact on them.
12. Sky being the one to run out of breath. If you have played Skyward Sword you know about the stamina wheel which, ulinke in BotW, can’t be upgraded.
13. Bellum and Vaati references are more than “references”. I frankly doubt someone missed those. However, theres a more sublte reference Four makes while talking to the Rancher. In this scene he talks about Dark Mirrors, this being a reference to his adventures, which Twilight inevitably connects to “his” mirror. (Love also that scene. Easily one of my favourite duos)
I probably have skipped a lot more cause the comic is full of them. I hoped you liked this. If while reading I notice more I make another part, but for now this is what I have. Happy new year btw!!
(I apologise in advance for any spelling mistake. i’m not a native speaker)

nes if you give me links to the rtgames lore videos and reblog out of touuch rthursday another hundred times i will binge every single piece of the lore
OK SO, here's all the lore, references, and memes I could gather:
Out of Touch Thursday (the reason we're here)
I feel like it's only right to start with context for the out of touch thursday RTGame post, this isn't even a lore video (yet), but it was made using shots from this video and was submitted to be watched live on stream, WHICH IT WAS! So proud of bubblegum :)
Tumblr
There's no video for this, I just want you to know RTGame is scared of us. Rightfully so, we have rtcler and many other cursed AUs.
Cupcake
Cupcake has a story and a half, it all started with a stupid suggestion in this video, which he took seriously. This man spent 2 months hunting for a shiny wooloo on route 1 of Sword and Shield, he did not play further than that point until he got his shiny wooloo in this video. I feel the need to emphasize this, he spent 50 hours and 11 streams hunting wooloo, killing just shy of 3 500 non-shinies all while not touching the rest of the game, and then when he caught one he named it cupcake and proceeded to beat the entire game with her.
Also not to brag. but I was there live when he found Cupcake - I even commented on it because he broke my bloody ears when it happened
Tumblr media
Ross Bob
I think Ross Bob died out as a character a while ago, but he was a big part of the sims series when Daniel played back in the day!
Poop Volcano
This is referenced every now and again in videos, but one time he made a poop volcano in city skylines
Paint Drying
At the time, his highest watch rate on Twitch for any single stream was of him watching paint dry. You may think this is an insult, but no. We are just committed to the bit.
Other References I don't Know The Exact Origin Of
Drift king - Back in college Daniel won a mario kart tournament and he hasn't shut up about it. I assume this first came up in a mario kart video, if I were to guess it would be this one, but I'm not completely sure. This is an ongoing joke though.
Harry Hill - A dead joke, Daniel just likes Harry Hill and he snuck his way into a lot of videos. I have no context.
Pizza - I do not know how or when this started, but Twitch chat really wanted Pizza. I do know how it ended - we made pizza.
Daisy - Daniel just hates Daisy, he is wrong
Baby Gilbert - I cannot for the life of me find the video this bitch comes from, I know which video it is I just can't find it. Anyway, this is the second video he appeared in :)
Not Running Jokes, I just Think You Should Watch These
He took us on a date, it was very romantic
He fell victim to the bath streams
Youtube age restricted most of his channel, he made youtube a curse word
He's an anime girl
He made Youtube change their policy
HE MADE AN ACE ATTORNEY FAN SONG????
A game company made him a custom controller which is just a baby in a blender, they promptly cut contact with him
I just like his Hollow Knight series, it's what got me into the game
This video made it to several news outlets
Toe
Thigh High Boots
I am missing so many references, if rtblr could fill in the stuff I missed that would be great!

Your quirk is Technokinesis
There's a lot to unpack in this quirk, you'll just learn more about it through out the story or you can look it up online I'm probably goinf to follow what it says there to keep the character from being too OP
You can have the ability to create a machine if you have the blueprint in your mind and the materials in front of you. Mei doesn't want you to try the suit because your quirk optimises to you and prevents any malfunction thus the blue print would be altered without knowing what went wrong.
The optimise only works if youre in contact with the said machine. When contact is lost, the machine would revert back to it unoptimised version.
Example you connected the wrong wires, it could cause an explosion when touched the wires correct themselves, when untouched it unconnects. Even if in battle when youre firing left and right it will explode when contact is lost.
You can manipulate any data and equipment with a look but only to some degree, your power works best if you hold it, which triggers the "fix everything when touched" part of your quirk so its difficult to adjust in between. You can also analyse any equipment or such but it only gives off surface level information, once again deep analysis work when in contact. Your analysis only gives about the machine, such as function, who, when, where it was made and whether its faulty. Deep analysis gives all the materials used and their function, if you inspect a faulty one it shows those despite the machine working fine as is.
Only minor altercations can be done by sight. Changing the street light from red to green or changing your scores in arcades or make the claw hold the toy tighter. In fight lets say Katsuki is supposed to explode using this gauntlet, you can prevent that one click once because you do have a cool down so if he barrages you with it you can stop about 25% of his attacks.
A big altercation you can do is when holding the equipment you can disable it. Lets say youre playing in the arcade, you hold the claw machine you can shut down the entire mall as theyre all connected. You can also stop anything motor powered.
You can feel every equipment around 30 meters when you focus. If something is faulty to the point of danger you are alerted and you have to figure out whats wrong. It doesn't say what's wrong.
When you have the blueprint and the function in mind you can restore, repair and return any broken or damaged non-living object to its optimal state no matter how long it has been broken or how damaged it was.
Most importantly, you can move your consciousness to an equipment, machine or any of sort when your body fails(passive) or on command as long as your body is within 20 meters. Your body would be locked in a cylinder shield to prevent damage. You can stay in another body for 5 minutes max. You can not possess the equipment causing you danger(unless it was passively activated and its the only thing around). You can move your consciousness every 12 hours.
I almost forgot to say this you can not mess with someone else's quirk. You cant turn off the charger if its plugged on Denki. But if Overhaul or Tomura breaks a computer you can bring it back if you know the necessary information about it, you can not deep analyse a computer that broken down but you can still surface analyse it.
Mei and you work together a lot she's often the one making blue prints and you create the blueprints so she can adjust them. It gives her more time to hone her creations. She may be better at making them but you're not that far behind.
Shinsou has been your friend since a child as you were the only one unafraid of him, because he cant penetrate your mind easily, because you always move your consciousness passively when he tries.
Im sorry if the explanation is bad or its too overpowered but yeah thats your quirk for this story. I'll try to adjust the quirk to be less overpowered.

Do you have any HC's for the Skittles when they're older? Like personality traits? Level of Chaos? Moral compass?
Oh gosh I have so many headcanons about the Skittles for when they're older. I've got like, 6-year old vibes and 15-year old vibes.
I'll go with the 6-year olds.
Sanzio is a lot different from Raph. He's quiet, tends to behave himself, stays out of trouble as best he can. He really likes cute things! His favorite color is pink. However, just like his dad, he is very protrective of his brothers. He tends to be the big shield while Bardi is the sword. He loves reading and books! He's not very active because his back hurts a lot and he's still dealing with his lungs being squished by the kyphosis, so he spends most of his time doing things that let him sit or lay down. He's generally low-chaos but will occasionally throw in a curveball and suddenly be leading the charge on the cookie jar.
Bardi, despite talking a lot as a baby, gets quiet as his brothers start talking for themselves. He spends basically all of 1 and some of 2 just never saying a single word. Then he just starts talking in full sentences, and now he won't stop talking again. He loves talking. He loves telling people about his plans. He especially likes drawing things like engines and cars. He is. The MOST chaotic besides Simoni. He and Simoni are the disaster twins of the Skittles. He is used to getting dislocations but still goes to an adult to fix them (something he'll stop doing by 9 and he just starts fixing them himself out of annoyance).
Simoni has at this point learned to keep his tongue in his mouth when he chews or talks, but it's far more comfortable out of his mouth so he usually leaves it there. He's behind on development milestones, so he still can't talk properly in full sentences. At this point one eye has gotten slightly larger than the other, which isn't growing properly. He's very shy about this. Simoni's a lot like Mikey, though, he's generally cheerful and a little menace. High chaos. Tends to know when you're feeling down and will do anything to cheer his family up, but he's also not afraid to get upset and show it himself.
Davinci is the quietest. He does a lot of mimicking others. He's just learning how to be properly active, though he has a wristband that tells him if his heartrate is getting out of range or his 02 drops too low. He's frustrated by this. He likes listening to people talk, which makes him and Bardi a good pair, as Bardi always wants to talk. He's still the smallest of his brothers, and will likely stay that way, so he gets protected by them more often than not. He's the unofficial "baby brother", which frustrates him because his dad's leader, so he should be too.
All of them have a fairly strong moral compass. At this age right and wrong are very black and white for them. Bardi's a little more okay with breaking the rules "for the greater good" while Davinci would never.

Two Sons: Part 1.
Tumblr media
GAAGH!
Tumblr media
OOOH! So close!
*POW!*
Tumblr media
Gegh!
*Sakura gets slightly grazed as she flies in to attack Tsuchiya, who sits casually on the steel beam, only to be blocked by his weapon that forms a shield in front of him. She backs up and slides along the ground. By this point in time, the initial group have spent a long time trying to take out their antagonist, to little to no avail, due to his weapon overpowering, outmaneuvering and protecting him. By now, everyone is profusely bleeding and all out of breath, even the most powerful fighters like Mondo, Sakura and Kyosuke.
Tumblr media
*FWOOOSH!*
Tumblr media
Hm...
*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
Tumblr media
Get outta here!
*SHUNK!* *SLAM!*

Tumblr media
CHIHIRO!
*SLASH!*
Tumblr media
UGH!
Tumblr media
You-!?
Tumblr media
Nuh-uh! Not happening! Can't let anyone risk interrupting the show!
*Miaya launches rockets at Akira, only for his ring pieces to slice straight through them before stapping her through and sending her crashing to the ground. Chihiro tries to drop an SOS, but Akira throws more pieces simultaneously at him. His laptop is sliced apart, but Oliver tackles him to avoid him getting cut himself. Oliver's ankles are slashed by the ring pieces and he collapses on Chihiro.
Tumblr media
HRAAGH!
Tumblr media
TCH!
Tumblr media
Oh dear...
*SLASH!* *SHING!* *SLASH!* *SLASH!* *SHING!* *SHUNK!*
Tumblr media
G-GUAAAGH!
Tumblr media
EYAAGGGH!?
*Munakata and Leon procure their sword and bat respectively, and try to attack Tsuchiya from both sides of the beam. However, he spins his weapon around him and makes it like they're walking into a blender. It chips their skin slices them apart, forcing them to back up!
Tumblr media
Leon, you alright!?
Tumblr media
NO! Not really! GACK!
Tumblr media
See ya!
*Akira rubs salt in the wound by kicking Leon around the face and knocking him back to the ground.
Tumblr media
Gah...None of our attacks our working! That ring is like a self-defense matrix that not even I can get past!

Tumblr media
Miaya, don't try to speak. You're not in a good place. Chihiro. The Future Foundation hacking guns work on this weapon, right?
Tumblr media
Yes, but Tsuchiya already destroyed the ones that you and Taka had on hand. And now I can't call for backup because he totalled my laptop. I have a spare one, but it's back with the rest of the group, so what's the point!?
Tumblr media
Well, Alter Ego should have sent a distress signal, but they won't get here in time! He's not going to toy with us forever!
Tumblr media
You're right...Fortunately, I have...one other idea...
Tumblr media
You do!?
Tumblr media
You won't like it...
Tumblr media
Why not!?
Tumblr media
Because it's still based on a meager theory...And if this plan fails...then I will unquestionably die...

thinking about how in season 1 Sausage used a bloodstained sword large enough that realistically it's two-handed. thinking about how he had a shield, yes, but he also didn't. it didn't even have a banner on it. he never used it unless he was sparring, because the focus was the sword. not the axe, because that only has one target. not the shield, because... why would that be important? the sword, because he hurt as many people as he could. he never had a shield. he never had a shield. he never had a shield.
thinking about how in s2 both the size and hilt make it unmistakably one-handed. thinking about how he's a protector. thinking about how now his offense was created to work around defense, rather than the other way around. thinking about how the shield, now, can cover most of him, how he can step in front of people to block the blow. a shield works best against an axe, which has one target. so he's making himself that one target.
an axe, on the other hand, is for disabling shields.
(his axe looks almost the same, just blue this time and not red.)

the mercs and which pokémon generation would be their favorite:
scout: strikes me as either the douche who actually liked sword and shield or someone who’s new to the series and only has played pokémon go or scarlet and violet
pyro: gen 2, specifically crystal. likes the sprite work the best and tries to shiny hunt for pokémon they think look the coolest or the cutest
soldier: barely understands how video games work, but his favorite is gen 5 because it’s based off america, specifically pokémon white/black 2. he blasts through the story by overlevling his starter and braveriary he named uncle sam in all caps because he didn’t realize there was a lowercase option, then uses shock and awe as he sweeps the place with no regard for super effective moves or strategies. sun tzu would be ashamed
demoman: while there was a dlc for sword and shield for an isle based off scotland, there’s no way in sweet hell he’d actually like those games, let alone ones based in britain. he’d probably like gen 3 or 4, ruby and platinum respectively. he plays competitive very casually, and only really plays the lower tiers because he finds them more fun than the higher tiers. also they have his favorite pokémon in them
engineer: honestly, he’d probably like any of the games, but i think he’d love gen 1 specifically for it’s interesting glitches. god knows he’s the type of guy to look for ways to fuck up a game like pikasprey. he’d probably like yellow the best
heavy: uhhhhh my brain says he’d be a genwunner, but considering he has a lit degree, he’d probably like gen 5 since it has one of the best and most mature stories in the series. would choose black/white 2 but prefer white 2
medic: he’s a genwunner i’m sorry i love him but he only has the gameboy games and nothing else, on original carts too. he doesn’t have a real play style, he mostly just plays the games over and over every time he’s bored. may try speedrunning it sometimes. he has all three but he prefers blue
sniper: probably either gen 3 or gen 7, though he specifically plays the games to collect critters and not really to actually engage with the story or do competitive or whatnot. he has the national dex completed on every save file he does. plays emerald, fire red, and honestly he’d probably play sun or moon
spy: gen 6, it’s based off france come on. he plays competitive and will bully everyone else for their “bad competitive teams” because everyone else tends to just use their favorites. he also plays only OU and UBERS because he’s lame like that. he also has both games because he’s fucking rich and has two ds’ he trades to himself with
bonus:
merasmus: gen 4, but he likes the gen 2 remakes the best. when soldier isn’t pissing him off he does shiny hunts and uses magic to manipulate the odds because he’s an impatient motherfucker. plays heart gold
pauling: probably wouldn’t care about pokémon honestly, but she strikes me as the kind who’d actually like the spin-offs the best, specifically any of the mystery dungeon games, but specifically gen 4
saxton: realistically he’d probably break a game console and call it for kids, but if he did manage to like a game, he’d like the pokken games or scarlet and violet, and doesn’t care which one it is
