Hanzo is a cuddler, if he is in bed with another person he will end up wrapped around them like an octopus. Kuai Liang on the other hand isn't used to touching people so whenever Hanzo wraps around him he ends up just lying there, buffering.

Sparring is one of their favorite ways to flirt, partly bc they're the only ones who can give each other a real challenge and partly bc they like seeing each other all sweaty and shirtless and whatnot.

Their first date was probably a mission, not bc they'd planned that but bc they got the mission as they were leaving for their date and didn't want to waste the opportunity.

Similarly, Hanzo was probably the one that said it first (as often as I write otherwise) as he is, somehow, the more emotionally mature one between the two and Kuai Liang would not admit to an emotion if his life depended on it.

It probably happened either during or after a near death experience as well, as Hanzo's self loathing would probs make him keep it a secret.

Once they say it tho they go from allies to practically married in zero seconds flat, it's just instant.

I also think that if Kuai Liang ever. managed to track down his home from before he and Bi-Han were taken by the Lin Kuei and get some of the heirlooms and keepsakes (parents' wedding rings, photo albums, etc) he'd give Hanzo one of the rings and wear the other.

He also would not tell Hanzo where he got the ring, so Hanzo would find out from Bi-Han and probs have to go lie down for a minute while he processed that.

They are attached at the hip too, like thank god they have trustworthy ppl as their seconds in command bc they spend every other day at each other's temple. They can't be apart for more than a few hours or they get irritable.

There's a betting pool amongst the Special Forces about when they're going to get together. Takeda has considerable money on the outcome and keeps trying to nudge things into his favor.

Neither Hanzo nor Kuai Liang is aware of the betting pool.

For all that Hanzo is the more hotheaded one, Kuai Liang is actually the one more down with violence. Like someone insults Hanzo and Kuai Liang is Immediately in Attack Mode.

Hanzo is incredibly tactile too, like he needs to be touching Kuai Liang at all times. It took a while to get used to it, but now Kuai Liang jsut melts into the contact every time

Kuai Liang has a praise kink, he likes to know that he's done a good job and really enjoys it when he can make Hanzo moan.

Kuai Liang also likes to be the one in control more often then not, which Hanzo is thrilled about bc it means he doesn't have to think for the next couple of hours.

They both like biting and leaving marks but while Hanzo is happy to stop at a pretty big hickey, Kuai Liang wants to draw blood. Kuai Liang is somewhat embarrassed about that but Hanzo is Delighted.

They both have a quite frankly ridiculous amount of stamina and after a close call they'll sometimes just lock themselves in their room for a full day and just not come out.

Both of their powers do occasionally come out during sex, but while Kuai Liang enjoys that and uses it to his advantage, Hanzo is just worried he'll end up burning their house down so he tries to avoid it by keeping things under control.

Kuai Liang likes to see how far he can push that control and whether or not he can break it (spoiler alert, he can)

Oh thank you so much for saying that!! I love exploring emotions, especially messy ones like jealousy, you know, the ones that are natural but that you don't really know what to do with and might even be ashamed of — they're the ones that I find the most fun to dive in. I'm definitely considering writing more for some of these couples it's an issue actually, I have so much that I want to write ;-; and I can tag you in it if you'd like to as well!

Also I wanted to tell you how much your comments on the parts of the series have meant, I've been meaning to shoot you a message to reply to them because I find the "comment" function on Tumblr not very practical to reply to people. So since you're in my inbox, I hope it's okay with you if I reply to them here! This series has gotten a fair number of notes but not that many actual interactions (I mean like, people telling me what they think about stuff), and it means so much to me that you took the time to leave in depth comments ❤️

So I do not have a degree in psychology, but writing complex characters is definitely my favorite thing to do and probably what I'd consider to be my strength, quite flattered that you thought that though 😁 I did really enjoy writing their communication in this and I'm definitely considering writing more for these two!

Okay, so, here there is something that's an issue because I'm not always sure how to tag it lol. Basically, I often hesitate to use the tag "unreliable narrator" because people associate it with a certain type of narrators (often liars/narrators who hallucinate or stuff like that). All it would mean here is that this is written from the OC's point of view and she... doesn't always realize what's going on.

So, here, Jisung's aware of the fact that there are issues with the ex, but both OC and the ex have been very careful not to talk to him about it/to hide it in front of him so he doesn't know exactly what's going on. When there's the scene with his ex, his closeness with the OC is intended to provide comfort to her but also to himself (the break-up was messier than OC knows), so he's not trying to make the ex jealous! And actually, the reason why he takes the bottle is because he doesn't want OC to kiss someone else lol.

As for why it looks like he can't get his shit together, the issue is that, well, OC mentions that she's trying hard not to look desperate/too into him and she's not taking into account the fact that she's doing a little too good of a job. So Jisung's just not sure of whether or not she has feelings for him (it's clear that she's attracted to him but anything else? yeah that's anyone's guess, literally bc some of Jisung's friends think he's heading towards heartbreak with her at this point)

And yes, they would start dating not too long after this scene! That's actually what I'd written at first but it didn't have enough of a "jealousy" feel and had to be mostly rewritten ;-;

Yeahhh, things are messy in that one, but I can say that Felix has his reasons, or at least his justifications. And yes, they've kissed before, which was when the OC basically said that she couldn't do more because she knew it would end up in heartbreak for her. I can't get into the past too much in case I end up writing it, but I can say that if I wrote it, this would probably be either the summary or the intro:

"The first time you see Lee Felix, he's sitting next to Bang Chan — yes, the Bang Chan, captain of the swimming team who's taken the school to the nationals twice now —, dyed blonde hair looking like a halo, nose scrunched up as he laughs with that surprisingly deep laugh of his. You don't think he even registers your existence then; you're just dropping by to say hi to Jisung anyway, you're not taking it personally.

The last time you see Lee Felix, two people are having to physically drag him from Bang Chan, who's sitting on the floor, nose bleeding, and there are tears of angers in his eyes. He's expelled a few days later, drops off the face of the Earth, and everyone carefully avoids the subject, especially around Chan.

And then, well, you see him again, but years have passed, and he's not really the Felix you used to know anymore.”

The Han and Seungmin roommate thing was 100% an intentional reference to that lol, I was hoping people would clock it 😁 Yeah this was very sweet to write, the MC is different from other ones I write usually so it was a fun exercice too!

Word of Honor Review

I finished watching Word of Honor so I thought I'd write a review of it! I feel like a lot of ppl I follow/who follow me have already seen this so I'm not gonna be too thorough/organized, just some thoughts that occurred to me. Also there will be spoilers, so the rest is under the cut.

The Plot

I didn't enjoy the intrigue side of the plot that much. Imo to properly enjoy a revenge scheme, whether or not it's carried out, it's better to know the details of the revenge from the start--who's seeking revenge, what they're seeking revenge for, how they're seeking this revenge, and who they're targeting. You don't need ALL that information from the get-go, but when a show does like Word of Honor and I only find out why Wen Kexing is seeking revenge halfway through the show, I'm just not as invested in it. Other ppl might enjoy the mysteries of Wen Kexing being slowly unveiled, and I wasn't NOT into that, but as regards secret identities, I prefer dramatic irony over curiosity. For that reason I wonder if I'd enjoy the beginning of this show more if I watched it a second time.

As for the entire jianghu fighting over the Glazed Armor, eh. Besides Zhang Chengling, there's just no one involved in that dogfight I cared about, so it took up more time than I would have liked.

The romance side of the plot (I would struggle to call this a bromance, though I know it technically is) is more fun, Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu getting to know each other, Zhou Zishu slowly learning more and more (often alarming) info about Wen Kexing while Wen Kexing grows more and more invested in Zhou Zishu's wellbeing and their relationship. They're also just very flirty and fun.

I wish the pacing had been a bit more even. The beginning feels rather slow, the middle's pretty steady, and the end is pretty rushed. If we had a few less "Oh no, everyone wants the Glazed Armor" episodes and a few more "fuck, Zhao Jing is dead but the whole jianghu still hates Ghost Valley and also Xie'er is a scheming, betraying asshole and also Zhou Zishu is on the verge of death" episodes (instead of like... two of those), that would be pretty nice. That said, I can't say there was a period of the show I didn't enjoy; even when things are slow, it's just fun watching Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu interact.

Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing (And Their Relationships!)

I thought based on what people say about the show that I would be all in for the antihero/villain protagonist aspect of this show, but eh. Actually Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing's (at least apparent) apathy towards killing in the first couple episodes really turned me off and made it hard to connect to them. I found it easier to empathize with them when 1) it became clear that Zhou Zishu DOES feel guilt over his past actions (yes this should have been obvious to begin with given the seven nails, but it's not always emphasized) and 2) Wen Kexing has Reasons for being fucked up. There's more angst that way, too!

I love Zhou Zishu, the one who led a secret spy force, being in some ways the more honest of the pair, and I love him as the one who's further down the road of "not evil anymore I want to be loved now". I love him just... taking his hair down after quitting Tian Chuang because he's officially in Soft Mode, and the unnatural vibe when Tian Chuang captures him and he's presented to Prince Jin with his hair up, forced back into that role. His dynamic with Prince Jin in general is super interesting--especially how Prince Jin doesn't seem to have valued him that much while he had him, and at first is only angry at him leaving, but later is willing to beg him to come back, realizing that without Zhou Zishu he's alone.

In more functional relationships, Zhou Zishu and Ye Baiyi's family friend dynamic is so perfectly polite, artificially familiar without really knowing each other. Zhou Zishu and Han Ying make me very sad. And Zhou Zishu and Zhang Chengling (and the rest of the new Four Seasons disciples) make me annoyed bc damn it, Zhou Zishu, it's one thing if you're going to die, but if you're going to be an immortal hanging out on an ice mountain in the middle of nowhere for the rest of forever, you could invite your disciple(s) up there for at least a while in order to finish his (their) training! Even the epilogue can't fix this for me.

For Wen Kexing, I enjoyed him being casually flirty, but whenever his eyes widen or start glinting and he goes either calculatedly threatening or actually mad, that's the good stuff ;). Maybe the first moment I really loved him was when he tried to convince Zhou Zishu that watching ppl fight to the death over Glazed Armor from an inn rooftop was Great Fun. He really thinks that! Wen Kexing, no!

I enjoyed his relationship with Gu Xiang a lot; at first Gu Xiang annoyed me but later I liked how he wasn't just protective of her but saw her as someone similar to himself, someone who'd been through similar trauma, whose personality had been forged into a similar shape of violence and a craving of affection, safety, and acceptance--someone who faced the same dangers as him (both physical and emotional) and who, too, might want to seek love and independence and leave Ghost Valley behind. While Gu Xiang understands Wen Kexing and accepts him in a way that many others wouldn't, too.

Also I love every time Wen Kexing and Ye Baiyi interact. The way they rub each other the wrong way from the beginning, and while Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing's bantering and mutual annoyance is harmless play, Wen Kexing and Ye Baiyi always are on the verge of something more dangerous--and in the end, when the facade of friendship between them breaks at the revelation that Wen Kexing is the Ghost Valley Master, it feels inevitable but still somehow upsetting because the fragile balance of friendship, even if it was based on deception, was still something real. Also every time they FIGHT fight, it's like... hand impact goes BOOM! what more could you want.

As for WenZhou itself, it's just fun to watch those two hang out. But also, they really do get each other. There's a moment where Zhou Zishu is remembering all his good times with Wen Kexing and there's this heartwarming montage of their past interactions, and then he (who currently thinks Wen Kexing is dead), says, "Actually, I knew what you wanted all along". And at the time I thought to myself, yes, he wanted to be with you forever/have sex with you, the montage makes that obvious. But Zhou Zishu says, I can't remember the exact words, something like, "You wanted to destroy this world and kill everyone in it", and like. What a great followup to a heartwarming montage. Wen Kexing almost always shows Zhou Zishu a smiling face, but Zhou Zishu knows the turmoil lying underneath, and although at first he wants to change it, later he's even willing to accept it and comes within an inch of saying Wen Kexing was right to feel that way. That's love.

Zhao Jing and Xie Wang

Finally, some thoughts on the villain villains of this show!

Zhao Jing is boring as hell but for this show that's pretty much what he should be. After all, this show (and Wen Kexing) doesn't see Zhao Jing as the root of all evil in the jianghu, the root of the MC's problems. It's the jianghu at large that is the issue, the accumulation of petty ambition and cowardice, ppl neglecting to stand up for what's right and easily accusing others of wrong. Zhao Jing is just the best person to represent this type of banal evil, and he really is fucking banal. Like, we know he had an inferiority complex to the rest of his friend group, and there's no apparent reason for it, he just did. Most of his big murders he didn't even commit but got someone else to do--Gao Chong wielding the blade he poisoned, Ghost Valley killing Wen Kexing's parents, etc etc. He's just this boring ambitious guy who knows how to manipulate ppl and get what he wants. I have no idea what Luo Fumeng saw in him but I guess that's her problem.

Also I think Zhao Jing would never have seen his ultimate fate coming. Like he could picture Wen Kexing or some other foe killing him, or his ambitions ending in disgrace. But Xie'er breaking his leash, betraying him, and keeping him as a helpless prisoner for the rest of his (admittedly short, but only by happenstance) life? It's not within his range of calculations; he really, really doesn't pay enough attention to Xie'er.

Liked Xie'er a lot! I've seen ppl say he's a lot like Wen Kexing but I don't really agree with that. I mean, they're both silk hiding steel, suave and friendly, obsessed with their man, and actually very violent with a terrible reputation, so there's that. But Xie'er's arc is him realizing his master is using him without valuing him, may betray him in the future and is not worthy of following, and ends with him betraying and not-quite-killing his master--seems more Zhou Zishu to me. And the Scorpions seem more similar to Tian Chuang than to Ghost Valley; sure, their personalities are similar to the ten top ghosts, but their function is that of an assassination squad, not that of a Bunch of Evil Fuckers Who Go Around Causing Trouble Bc They're Evil. Anyway idk I think Xie'er is more like Zhou Zishu than Wen Kexing BUT I also think Xie'er/Wen Kexing would be a more fun ship and I wish there was more fic for it. (If anyone has recommendations, let me know.)

Overall

A good show. I don't think it would go on my list of favorites bc 1) like I said, the intrigue plots bore me, and I usually love intrigue and 2) the uneven pacing is annoying. But I liked most of the characters and there was really some great fighting. As wuxia shows go, I'd say I liked it better than Ancient Detective but less than The Flame's Daughter or Handsome Siblings. That's very much a matter of taste, though. (If I ever did a review on The Flame's Daughter or Handsome Siblings you'd find out I recommend them only with a bunch of caveats).

Anyway I'm glad I watched a popular show for once, bc that means there's quite a bit of fanfic and fanart out there! I should have fun.

Thanks for the ask! I was about to respond in the negative but then I realized I technically do, it's just I don't usually think of them like OCs which is totally bizarre??? Anyway

My main medium of choice is playwriting and I have written some stuff. I wrote a musical starting when I was like 16 and finished the first draft of the libretto when I was in college, but I kinda dropped it shortly after that point because when I went off to grad school I just didn't have time to work on and edit it. But it was called losing faith and it's about this girl named faith who goes to a catholic school who accidentally tells people she doesn't believe in god and the fallout that arises from that. It was very much an exploration of being a teenager and feeling isolated and coming to terms with queerness and all that. I actually reread that script recently and its not as bad as I feared it might be, just needs some work. I love talking about them but I could literally spend hours talking about this story (i think i made an askblog at one point? lowkey cringe but eh what can you do we are all cringe) so i'll leave it at that The thing that I've done the most writing for recently has been the SCP Foundation, where I'm like a solid D-list tale author, though I've been off the site for a bit bc grad school. I had a couple of tale series I was really proud of, most notably the stuff in a series I created called UnHuman (which eventually became a canon). The basic premise of the setting was it was a post-apocalyptic world where only anomalous things survived (anything "fully human" perished in the apocalypse, which most survivors don't actually know what it is and call it "the calamity"), and the foundation and like every group basically is gone but tone is fairly light (it's v inspired by kipo and the age of wonderbeasts, fallout, adventure time and the like). My flagship series for that canon is Goodbye Nightflower, which is about two young women of unclear anomalous origin named Mio and Gabriella who know nothing about the world they live in and so decide to run away from home and make a documentary about their experiences, but they run into a zombie "promethean" named Nitro (pronounced with a short i) and a crab monster that, due to eir name being unpronounceable in human noises, the girls decide to dub Sebastian. I only have four tales of that out but i have SO MANY PLANS for these dummies i love them so so so much Nitro is just an absolute stoic only man who's like "in the wasteland... you can't trust no one but yourself...." and sebastian is just this gentleman ball of sunshine who's like "hi nitro and I trust each other with our lives and we would do anything for each other :)" and the girls are learning SO MUCH and the setting!!! I HAVE PLANS IM JUST BAD AT THE FOLLOW THROUGH. if you wanna start reading that you can check that out here or if you wanna just like check out my other scp stuff that's all available here and if you really like my stuff for some reason theres even a cheeky little kofi link at the bottom but absolutely no pressure

There's also like OCs from like little projects. I have this trio of friends from a short play that I wrote where it's a gay enby and the crush they have on their somewhat oblivious bi himbo friend and also the enby's roommate who's a chaotic lesbian and i love her but like after the play was done im like "i wanna follow these folks more" and have fruitlessly been planning follow up short plays and ahhh. and there are even more but they're not quite as interesting but im always happy to talk about them

Hsm: the waste: the series

Ok so right off the bat, is anyone else bothered by noticing that multiple different relationships seem to be developing the same dynamic? The guys all become huge simps for the girls just for the couple to actually get together and for it to reverse w the girl having to give the guy constant reassurance bc he's insecure for whatever reason.

This was especially seen w Redlyn's plot. How was she supposed to know what his dreams were if he never said? Especially since he always acts embarrassed about the tap dancing...like maybe Ashlyn misinterpreted it and thought he was too scared to pursue that in the future or something. Also why was he so jealous of the French guy? Was Ashlyn supposed to tell him to let her fall that one time? It's not like Big Red was there to catch her. Also don't like how their season plot started w her being insecure about playing Belle just for him to give her one sentence of vapid praise and then it was never brought up again. Also, saying "you're perfect" when she's feeling insecure doesn't really help like he might think it would bc it kind of just invalidates Ashlyn's insecurity and makes it seem like she's ridiculous for even thinking about it. Whatever Gina said seemed to give her more comfort. But then the rest of their S2 arc was spent w him getting insecure about something every episode and her having to reassure him that she actually likes him.

This also happened w Rini although not for long bc Nini peaced out after a sec, and I'm worried it might happen w Portwell, but I'll get to those dweebs in a min. Also why did Mr. M become totally whipped for Miss Jenn this season? I liked when their dynamic was more balanced; now, it seems like he is madly in love w her and she got the ick from him. Luckily, I care about them zero percent!

Another thing is that the competition was ultimately pointless af! Like I knew it wouldn't be satisfying whether they won or lost, but they didn't even reveal it? Ok? Wasted the whole yr ig! Miss Jenn became mentally disturbed for what? Plus wouldn't it make more sense if they didn't open the results at the end bc they realized how much the Menkies tore them apart this year bc they only cared about winning and lost sight of their passion? But no...they maintained throughout the whole time that they're still a big happy family, so I guess the awards didn't affect them? Besides just making them indifferent to the results for some bizarre reason.

Why is this show so anti-ambition? Heart and ambition don't have to be mutually exclusive. When Nini went to YAC (so damn irrelevant but anyways...), she was iced out of the friend group and portrayed as lonely and miserable and bored bc she chose to pursue her ambition rather than stay w her friends at East High. I get the point they were trying to make, but Nini seems like an ambitious character who just hadn't gotten the chance to explore that side of herself bc she never believed in herself enough to go for it. Oh well ig she has to give it up for Ricardo and her friends. Also, Gina's whole thing about "taking a step back" it's like...from what? You get no leads (except offscreen pre-pilot ig? Idk). And now, they have to prove they only care about family by not checking if they won even though there's nothing inherently wrong w being competitive as long as you're not undermining people to achieve your goals. Like are they gonna act like they weren't spying on the other school and making diss tracks back to them instead of rehearsing? But that wasn't addressed.

And tbh it made it seem like Miss Jenn only wanted to drop out bc she was nervous to perform against Derek Hough bc otherwise why was that scene w her and Seblos talking about it included? But now she can have an out while also taking the moral high-ground and claiming they quit bc they're above it or something. Self reflection = none. Also love how she was willing to go get pizza for Ricky but not Carlos. What happened to that dynamic?

Also, why did every episode end w a cliffhanger that was resolved offscreen by the beginning of the next ep? Oh no, Gina's moving! Jk her mom said no. Oh no, EJ has to tell his dad about Duke! Jk they talked offscreen and the dad is ok enough w it (why was it built up so much then?). Oh no, Carlos recorded the Rose Song! Jk Nini doesn't care. Oh no, Ricky and Ashlyn fell! Jk they're fine and can still perform. Oh no, Lily stole the harness! Jk they did Ricky's transformation offscreen and it went great...k guess I'll take your word for it. So much telling instead of showing going on this season.

Something else annoying is how every conflict was the result of miscommunication and how they would spend time resolving problems that were created that episode instead of actually addressing things that were going on. So many passive aggressive elephants in the room and no fights.

Why did Rina seemingly forget who each other is? I don't even ship this, but it makes no narrative sense after they spent so much time giving them dialogue that was exactly what the other needed to hear just for it to result in nothing. Ricky was the first one to say that Gina isn't intimidating and to get her to soften up, and Gina told Ricky she wouldn't quit on them if she was staying. What was the point of that flashback? They had a deep friendship and one they both desperately need when you consider how quickly they jump at any opportunity to connect w someone experiencing similar issues as them (Gina spilled her guts to Jack once she found out he always moves, too and Ricky gained sympathy for Lily once he found out her parents are also divorced). Why didn't they try to talk at all the whole rest of the season? Did they even process their feelings for each other or just to choose to ignore them? Ig ignore them since Gina shifted all her attention to spending 24/7 w EJ and Ricky decided to call up knock-off Gina aka Lily. Are they ever gonna talk again or?

Also Nini and Gina barely scratched the surface of talking about things bc Nini stormed out of the room like she always does to avoid conversations. Rini took too long to break up. The drama should come from the fall out, not the long-ass build up, just to result in a treehouse conversation that summarizes what's been happening instead of digging deeper into either of their mindsets. "We've been miscommunicating all year!" Yeah, we know. But what about Nini reflecting on why she impulsively got back together w Ricky just to, a couple months later, not even be able to say she wants to fight for the relationship? What about Ricky explaining whatever was going on w Gina? How much does Nini even know about that? Couldn't Gina/Nini or Ricky/EJ talk about how it's weird how they keep dating the same people? Or be jealous about it or something? Anything besides ignoring each other!

Seblos was also weird. Why did they spend the first few eps setting up a conflict that Seb is poor and Carlos is rich and keeps making him uncomfortable by buying him things just for it to never be talked about again? And why did Carlos make comments suggesting he was jealous of Seb being in the play w him just for that never to be brought up between the two? The only time they addressed a conflict was when they randomly decided to make up a problem that episode about Seb being insecure about Carlos and other guys or something. Like ok? Couldn't you have addressed all these other issues and passive aggressive comments that have been bubbling beneath the surface instead of making up a new problem just for the episode to have a plot? Bc of course it will never be brought up again next ep.

When did this show become so episodic and plot-based? S1 had more of an overarching plot and more character focus, including different friendship dynamics. But ig this season, people can only talk to the person they're dating. Also why was Carlos so rude and randomly classist this season? It seemed like whenever Seb was upset about something, he would get annoyed as opposed to concerned. And a song (which was Ricky's idea and not even Carlos's) doesn't fix the issue.

Howie was just being weird. Like he was making all faces and acting sus on opening night bc...Kourtney was just SO good! ...Next!

Next up is Portwell and EJ's character development this season in general. Didn't really like it! Everyone is saying EJ had such great character development this season, but why did his entire development happen offscreen? There are also so few remnants of his S1 self that it's almost unbelievable. Like he's no longer the least bit arrogant, ambitious, image-obsessed, etc? And he didn't speak to anyone about this really either. It's like he sat in a room alone by himself for hours and came to all these conclusions himself out of the blue and came back to school the next day a changed man. It would have been more beneficial to see more of this rather than being told about it. They're trying to market EJ as part of the "core 4" but don't want to give him the same relevance and depth as Ricky, Nini, or Gina. Then again, Nini's development has also been totally odd this season. But anyways!

It's also a little annoying that what triggered EJ to want to change was getting cancelled last season. So he realized he wasn't well-liked and therefore decided to get a personality transplant. But sometimes it seems more like he wants to look or feel like a good person rather than it coming from a place of genuine compassion or kindness in his heart.

Like last year, EJ claimed to "love" Nini, but the only pain he feels about their relationship is from shame and a bruised ego? The only thing he's proud about in that relationship is letting her go. You're not proud of building her up and helping her to believe in herself more? You're just happy that you had a chance to step up and be the hero on opening night by "letting her go" back to Ricky. He didn't even really let her go though since she was done w him way before that. Also bc of his relationship w Nini, he's afraid to be rejected again. So which is it? Were you such a bad boyfriend that you have nothing but shame about the way you acted, or do you feel rejected? If he knew he was being a bad boyfriend, he should know why he got rejected.

They try to parallel Gina and EJ's respective heartbreaks, but it's not the same at all. Gina got rejected bc Ricky chose Nini, but EJ got rejected bc of his own actions. It MIGHT make sense if he said he was nervous Gina would reject him bc she still has lingering feelings for Ricky, but of course that was never brought up and he's ok w the chocolates, so...what is he so nervous/confused about? It's like he thinks that last year, he was a "bad guy" and was rejected bc of it, but this year he's trying to be a "good guy" so if he puts in all this effort to do all these gestures for Gina and STILL gets rejected, then he really can't do anything right. He needs to learn to do good deeds from an internal place and not as a way to get validation or to feel like a good person.

I also don't like how he became friends w Gina AFTER it was implied that he had a crush on her. People say they had build up since S1, but there was no consistent friendship. They schemed together once, then he got her the plane ticket, then they didn't talk again until Carlos's party when he looked at her all lovey dovey. I think part of him latches on to the idea of Gina as representing his "goodness" or new start bc the first good deed he did was getting her the plane ticket. This made him feel like a good person, so he wanted to continue doing good deeds, especially for Gina since she helped "change him." But I wish they had maintained an onscreen friendship for a while BEFORE he started developing feelings for her. It's weird that he decided to become friends w her only when she's heartbroken and feeling down and also living at Ashlyn's house.

Like of course she's gonna latch onto you bc she's so lonely and seeking any kind of intimacy/stability. You're basically inserting yourself into the family unit that she's inhabiting, the wondering why she may view you as a brother. It's because all the things you're doing are coming off more like gestures a family member would do to "take care" of someone rather than something romantic. Gina needs a family, and the Caswells are supposed to be her surrogate family. I just don't want her to feel pressured to have romantic interest in him bc he's a nice guy and has been doing so many gestures for her and bc it would be very convenient to date someone in her surrogate family/built in support system. I don't want her feelings for him to be intellectualized and based on logic or for a million other people to have to tell her that she likes him when she had no problem expressing her crushes on Ricky or Jack. What makes EJ any different? Does she like him bc it "makes sense" and bc she is latching onto him for stability or bc she has genuine feelings for EJ and his personality? Not sure bc the show didn't even address her feelings for Ricky or how/if she processed that, so...DID she process that, or is she just jumping headfirst into spending 25/8 w EJ to distract herself from difficult emotions? I would have preferred if she at least sorted things out w Chard THEN made a conscious realization that she liked EJ more and chose to be w him. At least then, the narrative would be direct and intentional.

I just really wish EJ had a storyline outside of Gina being a symbol of his "development," like maybe he could have talked to Nini about their futures since they were both experiencing the same issue about school choices, or maybe do more w Mr. M and behind the scenes work? Also was really annoying that Gina bawled her eyes out more than ever after EJ cancelled their date, even harder than she ever cried about Ricky. It's like she was broken after that so she tried to use EJ as her final chance to build a connection and was depending on him so hard for emotional support, just to be blindsided and left feeling "off-putting" or like she needs to not only run away but also to put her walls back up. Like this was the last straw for her emotionally.

I thought the appeal of Portwell was that while Ricky made her cry and was constantly vague and unclear about his feelings, EJ was consistently there for her and she knew where she stood w him and that he would stay and not let her down. But now EJ is making her cry, too, being vague, and having miscommunication? All for the sake of them having a last minute complication just for it to result in Gina ONCE AGAIN having to be the one to put herself out there and express her feelings to EJ bc he was feeling insecure and din't come talk to her about it. For once, can't someone be the one to confess their feelings to her? Otherwise, what's the difference between Rina and Portwell if she has to deal w the same problems? Like no, SHOW why he's the better option for her, don't make him act stupid just to cause drama for a second. He was pretty intuitive last year about Rini still having feelings for each other, so why is he oblivious this time around? And why did he go talk to Ashlyn about it but not Gina? That's like last season when he talked to Ashlyn about his problems w Nini instead of bringing it up to her. Why does he keep making the same mistakes? Gina needs someone to be direct and secure in their feelings for her. She can't be expected to coddle EJ, who already has way more relationship experience, bc he will make assumptions about her without addressing it to her face and lead w his insecurities even when she is clearly hurt by what he's saying. Could he not tell she was upset he cancelled the date or??

Also unrelated, but why did they make Ricky mess w Nini's phone and delete stuff just like EJ did to her last season? Once again, SHOW why Ricky is the better option for Nini. Otherwise, she might as well have just stayed w EJ if there's no difference anyway, right?

The villains this season were also so irrelevant. Like where did Derek Hough go after he talked to Miss Jenn that one time? And couldn't Lily have been more involved if they're gonna force this plot of her liking Ricky?

With the amount of underdevelopment going on, Nini should have just transferred to North High instead of YAC and had a storyline there about choosing between ambition and friends or whatever. Then, she could've gotten to know Howie, Lily, French guy, etc, and it would intertwine the characters more. And also create more tension for Nini when she finally transfers back to East High and had to compete against her former classmates in the Menkies.

Instead, Lily's only relevance is to randomly have a crush on Ricky even though she spent the whole time manipulating him. Why does he even like her? If I was Big Red, I would get mad bc Lily has done nothing but be cutthroat to his supposed friends and make Ashlyn insecure all season. Doesn't he care about that? Or does he want to ignore his own problems yet again and focus all his energy onto "saving" or "fixing" Lily? He's so codependent. He and Nini both need to stop being so self-centered about their feelings.

I wish Ricky and Nini had developed a genuine passion for theatre by now like Troy and Gabriella did, but it seems like they could always take or leave whether they're in it or not. Does Ricky even have any passions outside of being codependent on girlfriends? The career test suggests not.

And Nina needs to learn to be a better friend. All season, Kourtney has been dealing w shit and her only advice is "you can handle it; you're Kourtney!" Like ok? Kourtney gives you all support and helps build you up, but is expected to figure everything out on her own bc she's "strong" and "independent." That doesn't mean she doesn't also need emotional support!

Plus why were all the songs so overproduced? I like the acoustic feel of S1 bc it added more emotional impact. I felt nothing from any of the songs this season. Cool!

what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

— ahh, this one is complicated. i love angst actually, but only of a very specific brand. my fics aren't so much angsty in ending as they are just. pervaded with a sense of sadness throughout—fluff coloured with angst, as i like to call it. pick up literally any fic of mine, there's always angst interwoven throughout.

that said, i did once write a fic (without you) that ended in major character death and it disturbed me so much that i ended up orphaning it lmao

have you ever received hate on a fic?

— no, thankfully, not as of now. that might be attributed to the fact that my body of work itself is not very big, but i like to think that i attract a more civilized demographic with my fics 😉

do you write smut? If so, what kind?

— no. never have i tried and never will i ever try, i think. the most i can do is make out and fade to black. i don't actually have any interest in writing the nitty gritty details, thank you very much.

— uhhh, yes, i think. i've been asked for permission multiple times but have only got back the completed link from the translator once or twice. this here, for instance, is a tumblr askbox fic that got translated into chinese.

— no, but i'm open to the idea! it just has to be with someone whose style and ideas i click with.

— ahaha, this is hard. it keeps changing but iwaoi seem to have passed the test of time <3

— ouch, okay. there is more than one. that one dazai-centric skk wip that's been lying in my drafts for almost an year now. it's a study into dazai's relationship with food and with the needs of his body in general (read: his very thinly-veiled eating disorder). i really fucking want to complete this, but it isn't looking likely at the moment :'(

what are your writing weaknesses?

— longform, multichapter fics, definitely. i cannot, for the life of me, plot out a proper three act structure with a subplot and a climax and all. i really wish i could, and i greatly respect the people who can :')

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

— only if it fits the situation. otherwise it just ends up looking pretentious and pedantic. i used a couple of spanish dialogues in salt/water as well as my iwaoi zine fic, for instance, bc they're both post timeskip and set in argentina

— bsd! that was two years ago, and i'm so grateful to my hyperfixation sdfshfk

Victoire always looked up to Teddy- he was always so smart kind and patient- what she wanted to be as the oldest sister- he was HER teddy, even when they were little- this developed into a crush when she was around 12 or so. He always cared for Victoire- being so close in age they were thrown into stuff a lot with the Weasleys so she was often who he hung with when not acting like a baby duck with Harry- sometimes she annoyed him when he wanted to be a grownup and she whined- but his particular care became a little bit of a back of the mind crush when he was around 15- he started to notice she had become quite beautiful- when had that happened? it wasn't until everyone else started noticing that he started getting jealous and thinking 'it's not that I want to date her- I just want no one ELSE to date her!' Takes a bit but around his 7th year he realizes 'oh crap I likelike her!' and Victoire had just thought, 'Oh, Teddy doesn't like me like that' because he is very cool on the surface. It finally comes to a head though- and is love a long time before they ever were together

How was their first kiss? - Slow, tentative, cautious- but then quite nice- the second one was full snog.

Who proposed? Teddy he went full traditional asking Bill and everything. Teddy is one of those people who looks punk- but when it comes to traditions like that can be very stuck in them as he wants to 'do it right' and missed out on so many traditions in general

Wrath

Leader of the dark sides

Can induce a blind rage

When the rage is happening the recipient cannot control what they say or do and react simply on their first thought

The rage becomes stronger the more angry the person becomes

Wrath can't bring someone out of the rage. He can induce it but the person has to come out of it themselves

He has almost no control of Apathy because of that due to his lack of emotion

Likes to wear a partial suit. Finds that the coat is restricting and makes more complex movements hard

Still owns the coat. Just never wears it.

Orange and black color scheme. Like this:

Immediate reaction to almost anything is to yell.

Loves huge parties

If he's going to make a point, he makes it loud and clear. Often in front of other people so they can see what happens if you step out of line

Rules the dark sides more like a dictatorship then a family or of equel footing

Believes that they have to bend Thomas to their will and that the light sides are complete fools who will only destroy Thomas life

Wants Thomas to take what he wants and not to worry about who he leaves behind

If Thomas has to kill a politician to get what he wants? Sure go ahead. As long as he gets what he wants

When angry, Wrath is ruthless

He'll take your deepest fear and taunt you with it until you snap under the strain and comply to his every whim

He refuses to take no for an answer

Because of his hatred for the lights; he takes it out on Janus

He's big on public humiliation

If Janus would step out of line; well, he doesn't need all of those scales does he? He's sure Apathy would love to see the reactions if you rip some off

To aid in the control of the others; Wrath has complete control over the food supply

When the others are listening and followings orders. Good, they get to eat properly

When they don't? Your options are moldy bread or cheese that has been out in the open for about a month.

Him and Apathy eat like kings while the others decide between food poisoning and starvation

Likes to take words of affection and make them have a negative meaning (ex: the word Love.) after beating the hell out of someone, he would make them look directly in his eyes and says that he loves them... And he makes them say it back

He hates it when the others cry

Says that they're doing it for attention and that they should shut the fuck up

Apathy

Second in command

Can nullify peoples emotions. Leaving them feeling like an empty shell. The effects normally break after an hour

If Apathy knows your name he can control you like a puppet

White and black outfit. White shirt with black suspenders and pants.

Doesn't show where he keeps his symbol (its on his right ankle, its more like a tattoo then a patch)

Has a deep obsession with fire

Owns a zippo (a lighter that flips open)

Often feels empty due to his function. The fire makes him feel warm, feel more human (as human as the sides can be anyway)

Doesn't quite understand emotion. He understands the basics of it (cry = sad, laugh = hqppy, yell = angry.) but the more complex reactions confuse the hell out of him. Crying out of happiness is one of the things he will never understand.

Because of his lack of understanding of emotions; Apathy tries to understand through making others feel said emotions

Wants to know how someone would react when you break a precious item? Time to find a couple photos.

Will someone scream when you waterboard them? Hm well, only one way to test that.

Opinions change like a flip of a switch

One day he'll help you make dinner with a plastered on smile. The next he'll knock you out and burn you with his lighter with that same smile

Has only properly laughed twice

The first time was when Thomas accidentally laughed at someones funeral (he couldn't cope that the person was gone and his default reaction was to laugh)

The second was after the three of them (wrath, depression and him) shut off the heating to Janus' room and locked him inside

In order to understand things he doesn't know; he does experiments

He's not allowed to experiment on Wrath and Depression has no fun reactions. So he has his fun with Janus instead

Kinda likes it when blood stains his dress shirt

Because its warm. The warmth that once came from the person now belongs to him and it eases the cold empty feeling only slighty and temporary but its warm

He's indifferent on the lights. They're a little too perky for his tastes

Depression

Third in command

Doesn't really get a lot of say with decisions

Can erase certain memories (he doesn't use it very often)

Wears a medium blue dress shirt, brown leather suspenders with a black bowtie.

Normally keeps his sleeve rolled up

When crying; his eyes leak black

If the tears hit your skin, its a 10% chance that you could collapse and start spewing your insecurities while your eyes leak black

Doesn't really mind not having the control that Apathy and Wrath have

He sees it as a way to keep Janus in line

Kinda pissed him off when he got demoted. Not bc of the loss of power. But bc he couldn't protect Janus as well

He has the power to conjure things and cause intrusive thoughts

Half the time he ignores the dress code completely

Typically opting for his normal clothes but does own a uniform as well

The nerve some people have! Haha I know I would be pissed if people were questioning my intelligence like that especially after a couple of drinks in haha. I was at this summer street party at night and got drunk on something made out of tropical herbs and cachaça (which is about 48% alcohol), drank 3 and a half bottles of that like it was apple juice, made friends with a bunch of strangers in a bathroom queue (who tried to talk to me weeks later but I had no idea who they were), had to be held by my best friend while I peed (mostly missing the toilet), fell in the middle of the street and scraped my knee, threatened this boy who was helping me walk and told him not to try anything funny or I would beat him up, then dragged my friends to the beach and left them shortly after to go make out with my ex, came back with lipstick all over my mouth and chin and when my friends asked what I was doing I said I was just talking to my ex and they were like NO YOU WERE NOT, hahaha then I kissed all my girl friends on a dare and we danced under the full moon, then I told my best friend I had to puke so she took me to the ocean but I changed my mind and happened to step on a dead turtle on the way back and started crying bc of it, but last month my best friend told me it was a rock I had stepped on (I believed it was a dead turtle for 7 years!). Had the worst hangover of my life the next day. ✌️✨

Oh I could talk about Dani and Jamie forever I think. I love the beast in the jungle speech too and it's so painful to watch, VP delivered that beautifully, but I have to admit I'm always a crying mess from episode 1 when older Jamie starts reciting that song about being sad while waiting for her lover to return, this show is fucking cruel I hate it and love it at the same time hahaha. I used to draw a lot, really loved doing it when I was a kid as I said before, and all throughout adulthood too but I haven't done that in almost a year now bc I've got a bit of a case of burnout I guess, it just takes a lot of effort to do it when it shouldn't be like that at all. I used to do fanart too, for other fandoms. Even made one for Dani x Jamie but ended up not liking how it turned out haha. I've got a lot of respect for writers and fanfic writers also! Yall can make words make sense in really interesting and beautiful ways, build worlds so enthralling I can see them vividly in my head. Writing is such an incredibly fascinating skill to have! And I guess the most important thing is that we enjoy doing these things right? Even if we think we're not particularly good at it.

I was fine and was just laid laughing while my friend looked down at me and in the most northern accent ever just said "get up you dickhead." and helped me off of the floor and then asked if I was okay... and I was so it was all good!! Haha 😂 I love this drunken story that sounds like one hell of a night and is a roller coaster from start to finish!! I. Love. Plastic jewlery. I got these REALLY cute clip on earrings (for little girls) they where pink and silver with a star and a heart AND I LSTE 1 OF THEM AFTER 3 DAYS (My fault 4 wearing them everywhere lol)

And gosh we don't have anything like thigh stores...we do have charity shops but they are so small. There are bigger places but 1. They're in the city it's a whole thing to go 2. They're gentrified, uno the places that jack up the price? It's sad lol I don't end up getting new clothes often bc of that...

One of the places in the city is one of those "5£ for a kg of clothes!!" And is love to do that but this distance UGHH. I'd have to get someone to drive me and my mum won't let dirty clothes in her car lol. Plus we don't have a bath only a shower so I wouldn't be able to soak them to wash :/ (sorry for rant. I would DM but I am shy lol aaa)

I’m guessing ur from the UK- ive only been there once (and idk if it even counts since I was in cornwall, which is way more touristy than residential) but my grandparents are from the uk, and ive heard a lot from my dad- and I’ve heard you guys have a lot less stuff over there! But yeah, theres quite a few thrift stores at least where I live, and they’re pretty big!! And i get not wanting to go into the city- a lot of actual alternative clothing stuff is in new york, but thats too far for us to go more than a couple times a year. Theres one of those places not far from my grandma- it’s 2$ for a pound of clothes, but ive never found much- but ive heard some people find great stuff at those places!! and yeah,, they definitly need serious cleaning most of the time, and idk how things are over there but i doubt those places will be open for a long time at this point since the pandemic.. and dw abt ranting!!! i do that all the time too!! and i keep anons on for a reason- i know a lot of my followers have trouble with that, and i always enjoy these kinds of chats! And there is absolutly stuff in the UK for alternative clothing, but it tends to be pretty pricy from what i’ve seen in uk based retailers. (though that might be because shipping is super expensive for me) Theres a couple of shops on etsy I really enjoy that are based in the UK, I really like animalhairstuff’s gender and sexuality related jewlery, but it is kinda pricy (but still cheaper than a lot of acrylic jewlery, like tatty devine, which is also uk who has rlly cool jewlery but insane prices) but if ur closeted, theres probably not much. Um,, i like RadbadgesUK for pins/badges, they’re all vintage reprints. (i may have made a huge order from them the other day shh) I also do believe that you can find stuff from amazon and other large retailers, you just have to go searching for it under piles of stuff. Look in kids sections for like cheap colorful hair accesories, and stuff like that! I know my advice is far from universal, but what works for me is generally just buying stuff for really cheap over a period of time until you eventually have enough accesories for put together a full coord. My coords need a little work, but i try my best!

Save The Date is actually a really good book. i wonder why it's so underrated 🤔 i really enjoy the first person POV, it's a nice change after reading all the third person POV books. plus wouldn't it be better if you describe sex scene in FPP wink wink

Best Man (i named him Leonidas) is really a jerk and irl, i would have cry all the time/kill myself before i could work with him in peace 😂 but he got that dominant vibes and i really like that in a man, so although Simon is a sweet little boy, he feels too childish and i don't really like a guy like that as my boyfriend 🥺 it would be more appropriate if he's my little brother.

towards the end of the book, Leonidas is still getting no better. i mean he did apologize for making a fuss and all that with MC, but i kinda feel like he's not sincere about that 🤷‍♀️ i would never date a guy like that irl, but since it's a choice between a little bro and a jerkass boss, i guess i'd choose the jerk. i'm really into bad boys anyway 🤦‍♀️

it would be more interesting if they dig a little deeper into the feelings of MC about her ex and the incident at the altar. and a little more sympathy from people would help too. people around her are such cold-blood creatures! 🙄

between Save The Date and Bachelorette Party, i'd gladly pick this one. BP is such a wild book, but the romance is quite good so that's a plus. i like both Reed and Ash, but Reed is giving the Adrian vibes though, so i picked him like almost immediately 😂 but overall, it's still not a book i'd add to my favorite 🤨 that's why it won't have its own post, because i didn't screenshot any memorable scenes. simply because there is no memorable scene at all 😒 well except for the part they took the characters from Endless Summer, and it's the same as my MC even!

i've also finished Wishful Thinking, way before i even started reading BC. it's a real funny book, but not my style either. she suddenly had superpower, no explanation at all. then it malfunctioned and disappeared, no explanation either. it focused waaaaay too hard on the take down the bad guys stuffs, there's no time for other things in her life 🙄 it was a relaxing book for diamonds mining, but in all seriousness, i didn't enjoy it.

finally, i just wanna say, after killing Rheya reading Bloodbound, i really got something going on with Greek names 🥺 i named MC in Wishful Thinking Eryx Myrrh, MC and Best Man in Save The Date Cassandra Hephaestus and Leonidas, MC from Bachelorette Party Zephyra Admetus. i might go with Greek names from now on for future books 😂

i'm so busy with school and finals i barely have time to catch up with everything on Tumblr 🥺 i'm still reading Distant Shores, TRH2, Witness, while still waiting for OH2 and BOLAS to comeback from the hiatus 😩 i also need to waste my keys in the waiting phase, so i'm catching up with Rules of Engagement book 2 (i endured everything just because i love Leo).

i hate the way it forces player to play as 4 people in a single series of books 🤦‍♀️ i hate that the bookish sister only have 1 LI!? i like that Paolo guy, but they gotta force her to be with Audrey 🙄 she HAS to be a lesbian for your sake of diversity huh? 😩 i hate that it forces the REAL MC to date all the guys, when i really just wanna focus my relationship with one guy cough Leo cough. the only relationship i could encourage in these books is between party girl sister and Blake. or Carter. i like both guys, and they're not even main characters 🤷‍♀️ reading these books are really a waste of time, so most of the time i just sit there, doing other stuffs while tapping my screen not knowing what i was doing 😅

since at her core, brianne is actually more insecure than one might assume at first glance, i think it could be interesting for her to interact with someone who is in actuality quite a lot like her (and especially someone who has sadly had his ‘foreignness’ twisted into a weapon against him by those people she personally expects to love heroes, something she’s perhaps a little nervous about herself, given that she’s so happy to keep her fans in the dark about her origins thinking emoji)

also, tho their backgrounds are different, they both are living in a society they don’t natively belong to, which could be a neat starting point for the two i think

Headcanons for Isa and Ienzo (maybe even lea, too) falling in love with someone they're mentoring. Their own ages, of course! It's just that these guys have some crazy-good skills that I imagine others would want guidance for... How do I put it? They're the best kind of senpai.

Ienzo was really surprised when you asked him to be his mentor. Like, are you sure you don’t want Even? Aeleus or Dilan? Maybe Ansem the Wise himself?

Most of what he knows he learned from them, so wouldn’t it make more sense to learn from them directly, too?

But nope. You are set on Ienzo (He does seem like the most approachable of the bunch, after all…)

You still end up working with Ansem and the other apprentices pretty often, too. After all, you all use the same lab and they do have a lot of expertise

He’s a very very patient teacher, and he’s willing to explain things twenty times if that’s what you needed

However, that’s only if you actually want to learn - Getting distracted it fine, that happens, but he gets frustrated if you don’t even want to learn what he’s trying to teach you

(Then again - If you’re not interested, you wouldn’t have asked him, anyway)

He’s falling for you very slowly. 50k Slowburn Friends to Lovers

Really, it starts out at just acquaintances, then you two slowly start to hang out a bit more outside of him teaching you, you become friends, etc

Since it’s such a slow progression, it takes Ienzo quite a while to notice

Though luckily, he’s pretty observant, so not as long as it could have.

He just eventually notices how often he smiles when he thinks about you, that his heart beats just a little bit faster when you’re around, etc

Once he notices, it’s like the feeling is suddenly enhanced. Like, one day he didn’t even notice that he felt warm inside when your hands brush while handing the other one something… And then the next, he blushes deep red when that happens

It’s really really cute. A bit annoying for the other apprentices though, considering being distracted in a lab can be kinda problematic (He’s still focused enough that nothing bad happens, but has spilled a few things, for example)

He’d love to just ask you out but like… He doesn’t really know how. He doesn’t have too much exprience with it, after all

He may or may not end up reading a romance novel for advice

At some point, he gathers up all his courage to ask you whether you’d maybe like to go to the cinema and watch a movie with him?

You can very easily tell how nervous he is. Be nice to him

Way better at focusing once the two of you are actually dating, much to the other apprentices’ relief

He likes to give you quick kisses at times when you’re working together in the lab, though, especially if you two are the only ones

Flattered, but really really surprised because? Why? Why him especially?

He’d be chill with teaching you how to use his… weapon-thing (yes I know it’s officially a claymore but it just really is not a claymore), but he’d be hesitant about teaching you how to use Berserk mode

Sure, it’s helpful, but it’s also kind of a two-edged sword. So, weapon it is.

He’s a fairly strict mentor. At first, he’s actually kinda worried he might be going to far and often asks you after training if everything is okay, etc

You learn a lot, and very quickly. Your whole body probably hurts after each training session, but hey, it’s gonna be worth it!

It’s kinda interesting to see how much gentler Isa is outside of training vs when he’s actively teaching you. (Now, if you’ve ever met Saix, though, you might notice some similarities…)

The first few times you meet outside of training, he’s kinda careful around you - Kinda like he’s trying to make sure he doesn’t spook you

After a while, he shows his snarkier side though

He isn’t too mean (And if you hang out with him and Lea - which is likely - Lea will probably tell you that Isa used to be much worse)

The more time the two of you spend together, the more Isa notices that he’s got feelings for you

However, he mostly tries to just… Not think about that

Even he himself isn’t entirely sure why; maybe it’s because he’s worried he might end up less strict during training if he admits it. Maybe he’s scared of getting rejected. Who knows.

It’s getting harder and harder to ignore, though. Especially when he sees you smile.

Lea is wondering whether he should just tell you to cut this whole thing short

If you don’t notice it yourself anyway, Isa will at some point tell you, though. It just takes a very long while.

He ends up inviting you out somewhere to watch the sunset (Not the clock tower; probably somewhere near your training area, a bit away from the nearest city). Might as well make it romantic, right?

He’s uh… Kinda awkward about confessing. Something like, “I… Think I’ve started to have feelings for you. I’m trying to not let it impact the training, but I just… thought you should know.” There’s a pause before he adds, “And maybe we could get dinner sometime?”

Absolutely thrilled when you say yes, though he only shows it via a smile

Whatever he was worried about, though… Trust me, your training is just as hard as it always was. But at least now you’ve got someone to kiss any bruises you might’ve gotten?

Lea

He is sooo flattered! That you want him to teach you!

Though his exact reaction depends a bit on what you ask him to teach you

If it’s, say, Chakrams and fire magic? No prob, he’s a total pro at it, after all!

If it’s keyblade, he’s kinda torn between “Of course you’d ask him, he’s just that good” and actually being a little insecure considering he pretty much just started with it

But either way, he’s totally up for it!

(Meanwhile, mod is sad that the German idiom “Feuer und Flamme sein” (”to be fire and flame”), which means being really enthusiastic about smth, probably doesn’t exist in English bc it would’ve been so fitting)

It’s not really the first time he’s taught someone else; after all, he used to be kinda Roxas’s chaperone for the first couple of weeks after he joined the Organization

Still, teaching you is pretty different from that

(You’re not a 15-year-old with absolutely no memories who doesn’t know how chests work, for example)

First of all, he tells you to show him what you already know, and then goes from there

After a bit of time to get used to it, he’s actually a really good teacher. Kinda obnoxious about it at times, though

Say, you’re arguing about something completely unrelated, and he might go “Well, as your teacher, …” as a joke

In general, there’s a lot of teasing going on between you two. Lea loves teasing people, and he expects you to shoot right back

At times, the teasing might even be slightly flirtatious, but not really serious. More stuff like, if you have to e.g. fix your hair during training, he might say “Come on now, looking pretty isn’t gonna help you in a fight, even if you’re good at it!”

It goes kinda seamlessly from there. The flirting just little by little increases and gets a bit less teasing (though still rather jokey)

Until at some point you’re probably both not entirely sure whether you’re like, just joking around or if you’re actually dating

Lea basically decides to shoot his shot one day after training by giving you a kiss on the cheek

✧ inuoka sou: ah, but this guy’s a big goof himself! when the two of you get taking, the rest of the team just can’t keep up; you’re talking at a mile a minute, and you have a ton of inside jokes. you’re both loud and playful, and i can see you two having a lot of fun together! you’re both the type to try and cheer people up, so you’re a little whirlwind of positivity when you’re together. so while they can’t necessarily keep up with you, the team enjoys having you guys around.

Episode 3 - "RIP tribe Jenkins we were too powerful" - Riley

The 3 tribes of Pendragon, Hatter, and Jenkins have been reorganized and condensed into 2 new Hatter and Pendragon Tribes. Tribal immunity is Scavenger Hunt.

The fact I have Brayden and Toph in my merged tribe boosts my serotonin. i have a feeling colin may be someone to keep an eye out for in the future now...

RIP tribe Jenkins we were too powerful. I guess we'll see how Pendragon pans out.

yall doin me dirty putting me with brayden i just hope that by some miracle me him anastasia and ellie can work together? like i still dont know if theyre plotting on my ass vdshibshj i know brayden told anastasia to take me out when this game started oop but lemme see if dis works. i hope riley follows the logic of the old tribe sticking together and thatll be 5 votes. im kinda obsessed with toph like since the beginning of the game he looks like someone i could totally play with so def wanna work on that relationship. ava and nya? i believe? lets say hello and work on those relationships as well. dis is a bit overwhelming but we shall see how it goes

uh... well... i am SCREWED. me and ginny were the only ones separated from the Jenkins tribe... RIP. 4 pendragons, 2 hatters, and 2 jenkins... the main things i see here are pendragon yoinking one of the hatters / jenkins and voting the other off... OR a 4-4 tie... OR they're gonna target one of me or ginny cuz none of us have gone to tribal council yet. this is really dicey, and I need to tread very, very carefully from hereon. (ALSO GINNY BARELY TALKS PLS I NEED YOUR HELP GIRL)

This swap actually turned out pretty amazing for me. I still have Keith and Moth who I worked semi-close with in the pre-swap. Additionally, I've met up with Colin and Babs. A little Raffy magic could keep me very safe on this tribe. I think Kenneth is super fun as he is a newbie AND active. He will definitely make it far in this game. I hope, at the very least, that I can be by his side to make that happen. However, I am wary he might just be making these strong social connections with everyone. As a final note, OG Pendragons have this tribe 4 to 8. That's both good and bad. Good because we have numbers. Bad because that may make people target me very early on just for being a part of it. So, I have decided that if I were to throw any of my OG Pendragons to the wolves it would be Jonathan as I haven't been able to connect with them as well as Keith and Moth. Other than that, I hope this tribe doesn't have to go to tribal all that often between now and the next swap/merge. These people are lovely.

I'm getting a bad feeling about this... Since most of my Jenkins tribemates are on the other tribe, I KNOW they're good cuz we just keep getting W's... so I think there is a good chance we might lose the challenge. I contributed a good amount, so I hope that the target won't be on me if ever we lose the challenge :( I really don't wanna go, and I wanna reunite with Dennis/Ellie and maybe Anastasia and get further in the game.

Our tribe did our absolute best in this challenge. I have no idea who is getting targeted if we go to tribal as everyone is so quiet. All I know is that I want to keep Colin, Kenneth, and Keith close to me for this stage of the game. They are the only ones who consistently talk to me. Challenge results: Pendragon wins due to a 10% advantage, Hatter Tribe must go to tribal council the following day.

Look, before you go to tribal with a group of people it feels like there’s a barrier of game socialization because you haven’t been able to go to tribal with them. But leading up to tribal and after it, a whole new can of worms is available for game talk. Unfortunately it’s an extremely simple vote because Nya has ghosted all of us, but at least we still get to go to tribal so I can talk game with more people even if it’s only a small amount with this easy vote. But who knows, someone might decide to switch shit up!

And also I absolutely love this tribe (Minus Nya cause I haven’t met them) so I’m glad that I get to go forward with this group although I won’t be nearly as happy if we go to tribal again because as I said, I do enjoy this group of people a lot

Toph So what’s happening, I can’t remember the last time I made a confession but the tea yall ?! Soooo the tribe swap happened and my gut was right soooo okay intuition work ! I feel like I really like everyone from the merge and nya as remained inactive since, after losing the challenge it seems like an easy vote but you can never be to safe, I have my little allinnce with Brayden and Ava which is wig and I really dig Ellie , Anastasia, and Dennis too, I’m gonna be so nervous if we have to go to tribal agian because it could be me ! I’m not to sure about Reilly but they seem nice ! I feel pretty good with Anastasia as well and feel we could rope her into an alliance easily, I’m just gonna due my best right now to play the middle, keep my head down and speak positively. I really need to find an idol or something even better just so I don’t have to worry as super much and just plain worry then lol. If anything I’m gonna stay loyal to brayden and Ava the most since there my day one homies. Brayden seems to be close with Anastasia which could definitely help in are favor of having the numbers on are side. But could mean he would easily cut me for her if needed, so that mean I need to get closer with Ava, just to gaurnetee my safety, I have to look out for me this game and only me, making sure the numbers are kn my side I’m constantly on the right side of the vote should help me strageticly float to the end and win my crown thank you very much. I’m also lowkey worried about alliance’s being made right now without me! I know the other tribe is MAD because I would be too. Like, we only won because of my advantage giving us a 1 POINT LEAD. That's crazy! Honestly, this works for me as I can still focus o n making strong social connections within this tribe. By the time we go to tribal, I will be so integrated with this tribe that voting me out would do a lot more short-term harm than long-term good. I want to see if Kenneth would start an alliance with me as that is someone I want to work closely with. In this alliance? I have no idea. i really like toph. taurus sun (in the 12th!) gemini everything else king. hes got social game on lock like who wouldnt wanna work with him ?! and hes a cutie ?! ?! ?! but i seen the chart -.- i know what hes doin. i think hes working with ellie. but he reaches out to me and probably others but i like our conversations.
