anyways bart allen. bart allen and tim drake. that's all.

occasionally bart mentions something that interests tim scientifically and it's just ".... yes you can run tests on me"

when they're on missions and bart gets broken bones, tim has to break them again and reset them when they heal in the wrong place (because of speedster healing rates. tim hates this, bart kicks and stuff when he's doing it as a reflex. it hurts.)

bart comes over to the manor at literally any hour of the day and will be like "why are you awake" and when tim goes "why are you awake" bart gives in and the two of them sit together and work on whatever tim's working on.

bart brings him coffee. he knows tim's order. they're bestie vibes like that

one summer kon got a job as pretty much a joke, he was a waiter and tim and bart sat in that cafe every day possible to fuck with him.

sometimes, the two of them like to study together. tim with his books and bart being fascinated repeatedly by all of the things stored on the batcomputer. they do most of the pre-research for any sort of missions and tim presents it to the young justice team.

if tim's patrolling, baz'll get into his bedroom (window) and pick up his extra comms unit, and just talk into it. for a while he didn't understand that more than just tim could hear it. everyone could hear it. everyone could hear him singing to him and just rambling mindlessly to entertain tim. tim never told him. he thought it was funny. baz only stopped when bruce interrupted him one night and passive aggressively told him "please refrain from continuing."

tim got them their own channel on the comms after that.

i have a stupid hc of bart where he roller skates a ton. he either engineers his shoes to have wheels like heely’s or will show up places in full blown skates. he likes the feeling of rolling sometimes instead of running— no more feet pounding on the hard pavement, instead he’s just breezing through like he’s on ice

whenever the core four are meeting up, he shows up in his skates and no one bats an eye cause it’s so common. it’s like a second appendage and he does it mostly bc it’s cool and he likes things that provide transport (i.e skateboarding, etc)

Personal HC that Bart is spoiled absolutely ROTTEN by the Allen's and Garrick's. Ever since they learned of his future, they practically drown him in cute blankets, stuffed animals, and figures he never got to have. He stares at something at the store for too long, Iris immediately throws it into the cart. Bart makes a comment about a cute stuffed animal he saw online, Barry orders it for him. At first, Bart is a bit overwhelmed and hesitant but, he learns that yes, he deserves this and he deserves every bit of love that comes his way.

Tim Drake headcanon

He took a dip in the pit but came back from it stronger. It took a while to overcome the side effects but he redirected it into bankrupting Ra's and weakening his assasin empire.

He lured a couple hundred assassins away from Ra's to keep for himself. The small voice in his head told him he had already took a bunch of Jason's shticks and made them better so why not add another to the list.

He buys a big mansion somewhere in the middle of nowhere and starts his own assassin organisation

He takes the computer specialists and assigns them to scouting targets and draining their bank accounts(to be split among the assassins - tim had enough money).

He organises the rest by their specialities. Whenever he takes a new target he checks out their insurance coverage and replaces it with a really bad one. Then he sends out his groups according to the new insurance plan. For example if there is no dental insurance then the dental group will knock them up real bad. Combined with no money in their bank accounts, painful injuries and hospital bills that are not covered by insurance the targets feel emotionally drained(retribution for whatever they do to others). Then the special attack group ends them when they least expect it very painfully.

All in all he gets around gotham and branches out throughout the entire country.

But in the end he never has blood directly on his hands so he counts it a win.

He is also a shark in the boardroom and definitely uses his skills to his advantage. No-one questions him because they're scared shitless of him. He's practically a legend in the company.

Despite his many lucrative businesses he always makes time for date nights with kon and hangouts with kon, bart & cassie ♡ They all know of his assasin group but dont care since he's happy.

Also he ditches the dumb name and costume. He goes by peregrine and designs an actual costume - spiked leather jacket(inspired by kon), black onepiece(fitted with standard bat procedure) and black greek style circlet with wings(inspired by bart and cassie). He uses his bo staff but attaches retractable blades to make him seem like the bringer of death in a way

I'm actually really in love with Bart from The Legion of Super Heroes in the 31st Century tie-in comics with the 2006 animated series.

We don't know exactly how much of his origin in this series is EXACTLY parallel with his comic lore but there are some similarities with a little tweak but none-the-less the implications seem to be a little sinister.

The issue opens up with Chuck (Bouncing Boy) and Luornu (Triplicate Girl) being shifted from a recreational VR simulator directly to Bart's own VR "server" (a replica of 21st century Keystone City) where he explains that he's there to get his powers under control.

Of course in his comic origins this is untrue, but it is something that the scientists charged with 'observing' him might have told him instead of the truth. Again, in this we do not know if there is any foul play going on with Bart for sure but nevertheless things are amiss.

The VR world Bart is in seems to house AI sentients and their disappearances is enough to convince Chuck and Luornu to help Bart. Where the scientists are in all of this is... questionable. It could be that Bart's origins in this are no different from the comics and he is essentially an unknowing prisoner.

What is interesting is throughout this issue they try to imply that they don't know for sure if Bart is an AI, or if he is plugged into VR, but by the end you get the impression he is plugged in like the rest of them.

The word usage they use is that he "lives" in the VR which is not inaccurate even in the comics. Bart spent the majority of his life in the 30th/31st century plugged into VR making it his home as he knew no other way of life. Bart doesn't seem to differentiate between the two as VR is his home right now.

Because thinking is involved in solving this case naturally they have to reach out to Querl for help, which solves a lot of mysteries about Bart through implication.

The way how Querl talks is interesting... and when Querl comes into all of this is when things get interesting as we get a small implication that Bart is plugged into VR, and is not just an AI.

Querl refers to Bart by his full name, no where in this issue does Bart use his full name. The fact that he says he is honored to meet him implies that Querl likely remembers Bart's origins from some annals of time due to his knowledge of history and special interest of 21st century heroes.

I also like that in this they push Bart's friendship with Querl which was a thing even in his 90s comics (as unusual as it was).

Querl reveals that he's read that he's fast, again this could mean he knows 21st century history OR he just pulled the information about Bart from the facility that is holding him, but it's likely the former due to how honored he was to meet him.

In this Querl and Bart work together in much better harmony than they did in the comics which is a delightful contrast.

Also in direct contrast to Bart's interaction with the Legionnaires in the comics, he is immediately invited to join up. This is something that comic Bart fervently wanted.

Unfortunately, he is unable to join and Bart's wording here is ominous in that they won't let him leave until he has control of his powers. If this is like his comics, that would have been never. He's still trapped in VR, timeline being a little different, maybe he doesn't have the speed aging going on in this version. Bart never was rescued and he's still in VR.

All in all a delightful take on Bart but it still leaves a lot of questions open and I am sad we never got more out of this. This little comic is like a little love letter to Bart and I 10/10 recommend reading.

bartim hc where bart has this tiny grumpy little attitude when it comes to jason because he knows him and tim don't get along.

someone mentions him and bart twists his face and tries to roll his eyes (he can't do it properly) and tim is the only one who gets it, it makes him laugh a little bit.

bart asks who tim's going on a mission with and when jason is mentioned he gives the whiniest of whines ever whined before and raises the good point of "HE LITERALLY BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF U MORE THAN ONCE!!!!!!!!"

I've been thinking a lot about Jaybart lately, even wrote half of two one-shots that I might post soon, since I'm bored, and have nothing to do, here are some hcs of them that I have and intend to work on some future fanfics:

Sometimes, while the other is sleeping, they lie awake counting the other's breathing just to make sure they are alive. Neither of them knows about it. Bart does this more often, but Jason spends more time awake counting his breaths.

Jason cooks and Bart cleans. Bart can't cook to save his life, but he makes decent coffee.

Bart has freckles all over his body and Jason often compares them to stars, when they are alone he tries to kiss each of his freckles.

Bart's love language is physical touch and words of affirmation, so Jason has always one arm around his shoulders or waist, sometimes he lays his head on Bart's shoulder and when no one is looking he leaves a kiss on his neck or whispers in his ear 'I love you'

Jason's love language is quality time and acts of service. Bart always tries to find a way to go to Jason's apartment and spend some time with him, they talk, watch movies and sometimes just enjoy each other's company. 'I love you' for Jason is not in words, but it is in the little things. In the coffees that Bart makes for him, in the early hours of waking up together, in the silence while Jason cooks and Bart helps him chopping the vegetables.

Bart made (read: forced) Jason to watch all the Star Wars films

Whenever the two watch a film/series, Bart develops a crush on one of the actors and talks about it for weeks and Jason just agrees that most of them are actually hot

Most people don't know that they date. Bart always says he has a boyfriend, but never says his name instead he describes his boyfriend as 'a literature student who loves cooking and Jane Austen and Virginia Woolf books' and he always has fun seeing people's reactions when Jason appears and kisses him.

Roy can't stand being in the same room as them, he always says that they look at each other with puppy eyes or like they're ready to fuck right there

Sometimes Bart wears skirts and dresses, Jason thinks he looks really beautiful wearing it.

Tim was the first to know they were together, he accidentally walked into the kitchen and saw them kissing (his reaction was similar to Ross's in friends but with less screams)

On their first Valentine's Day together, the two forgot it was Valentine's Day and spent the day watching horror movies and eating pizza.

Bart always listens to Tim and Jason's complaints about each other and finds it funny how the two always end up saying "How is he your best friend/boyfriend?”

Bart always pulls Jason's blanket over while sleeps.

Tim constantly walks over while they are almost having sex, most of the time he screams 'my eyes!' and Jason finds something to throw at him.

They are not a clingy couple, no pet names, no matching accessories, not so many pda, except for a few kisses, and a hand on the other's shoulder or waist, and they barely talk about the relationship with others, the reasons many people don't know they are dating is precisely this. They are very private, and none of them are afraid to provoke, disagree or upset the other.
