Published: Author interview at SpillWords Press
I’m very excited to share my interview as an author, published on SpillWords Press. I’ve been meaning to share it here since the 16th of March, the day it was published, but I’ve been extraordinarily busy thanks to my publisher and things completely beyond my control. Here’s an excerpt of the interview. What does it mean to be selected as Author of The Month? It’s a huge honour to be selected…

Have you ever wanted to know more about your favorite classic authors? Each month, we share various facts about the lives and works of our Author of the Month.
During October, we honored Mary Shelley as our Author of the Month. The author of the most famous and disturbing literary work of the Romantic period, Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin was born on August 30, 1797. Some of the most interesting things we learned about her this month were…
On June 16, 1816 Mary Shelley, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Lord Byron, Clair Clairmont, and John Polidori decide to have a contest in which each would compete to write the most frightening story
The relationship between Mary and Percy Bysshe Shelley, begun at the graveside of Mary Wollstonecraft, spanned only eight years of Mary Shelley's life, yet from the moment of their elopement in 1814 its intensity informed the central events of her experience
Frankenstein is also a political argument. Mary was convinced that a political goal did not justify the use of violent means. Frankenstein's creature embodies the French Revolution: originally “good” in his intentions, the creature becomes increasingly violent
After Percy Bysshe Shelley's death by drowning in 1822, Mary Shelley returned to England and continued to write fiction and nonfiction while devoting herself to the editing and publication of her husband's works. Her editions are still used by modern scholars
For the month of November, we are exploring the life and work of Edgar Allan Poe. Be sure to follow the #ClassicsInContext hashtag on Twitter to learn more!

Willow Winters is a USA Today, Wall Street Journal and #1 Contemporary Best Selling Romance Author!
Gah! I cannot tell you all how excited I am to have Willow as Blushing Book Reviews Author of the month for March 2019. I am a massive fan of her’s and absolutely adore the way she interacts and engages with her readers and  love each and every one of her super sexy and delicious book covers
Willow gives her readers/fans an honest insight into her daily life as a mum and an author, sharing with us her highs and lows on her social platforms she has a way about her that makes you feel like you know her as a friend. She is such an inspiration to any aspiring authors always offering advice as well as supporting her author colleges and friends . Willow is always generously running giveaways and has the BEST book merchandise for sale in her store and book boxes.
The thing that has me reading each new book Willow releases is her memorable characters. Every male heroine is sexy as hell, some a little on the naughty side some a lot. Dark and dangerous, each have their own demons to destroy but they all love fiercely, passionately and possessively.
Some of Willows books are suspenseful, some are dark, some really, really dark, but each one is unique, addictive and swoon worthy.  If you are after a sexy as sin bad boy who will drop you to knees and have you begging for more than grab yourself a cup of tea and a Willow Winters book and I guarantee you will hooked and  get immediately lost within her literary world.
  QUICK AUTHOR BIO:
Can you believe that Willow has achieved so much success in as little as three years?? Yes I said three years and if that is not enough to wow you she has done it all with having two young children.
Living in Delaware the USA, Willow began writing in 2016 when she had her daughter Evie. (great minds think alike as my daughter’s name is also Evie)  Being an avid reader Willow started to think of her own stories and began to put those to paper. Writing quickly became her passion and now she is the author of over 35 books and earned the ranks of USA Today, Wall Street journal and #1 Best selling Contemporary author.
Willow loves her tea and has developed quiet a fetish for tea cups, mugs and all thing bookish, she has a great range of them in her store .  Visit Here
5 Blushing Moments with Willow Winters
What and who inspired you to become an author? How did it all start for you?
My daughter did actually.  I read a book a day when I was pregnant with her and then had a huge urge to write stories of my own after she was born.  I didn’t know if anyone would like them or want to read them, but all I wanted to do in my spare time was write romances.  I owe all of this to her.  She just turned 3 this past December.
Who is your favourite character that you have created and why?
Probably Carter Cross, or his brother Jase.  Although I often think of Anthony Valetti too.  Gah!  This one is a toughie!   I love heroes who put on a front and are tough and strong in their own right, but have a damaged side that makes them vulnerable and those three men really pull at my heart-strings for that reason.
Read more about Carter in my Review of Merciless Here
What has been the hardest book for you to write in your career and why?
The Merciless series, Carter Cross’ books.  The simple fact that they are intricate and tie into an entire world made me write the books much slower and carefully.  I had to have all of these other characters involved, who all have their own stories to tell and their own intentions.  So it was important to make sure I told their perspective accurately even though their books weren’t even ready to be told.  This Merciless world has truly taken over my brain space and I am in so much love!
When you’re not writing you are …..?
a) Watching Real Housewives.
b) Shooting my son with nerf guns and chasing my daughter.
c) Snuggling with my hubby and talking about how we need a date night but not really finding the time to do it.
d) Working on my subscription boxes and shop.  I’m kind of obsessed with book lover merchandise!
What can we expect to see from you in 2019? What are you currently working on?
More from the Merciless world – hands down.  I’m in love with all of these characters, especially the Cross Brothers.  But also a little lighter reads coming in 2019 too.  I have this idea for a southern romance that is completely different, sexy, forbidden and I can’t wait to get working on Tequila Rose.  I am pumped for everything.  There’s so much more to come.

This book will make you say, "Ah hah! I knew it!" Sometimes, we know what to do, but society speaks so loudly against us, we doubt ourselves... This book will be the wake-up call many women need that their docility is working against them. Be gentle, yes, but be wise as serpents too! Have you ever wanted to know more about your favorite classic authors? Each month, we share various facts about the lives and works of our Author of the Month.
During November, we honored Edgar Allan Poe as our Author of the Month. Poe’s contribution to Gothic literature was his use of the genre to explore the psychology of humans under abnormal conditions. Edgar Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. Some of the most interesting things we learned about him this month were…
After the death of his mother, Poe was taken in by John Allan, adopting his foster-father’s name as his middle name.
He was educated in London and for a brief period, at the University of Virginia. In 1827 Poe entered the U.S Army.
After dropping out from West Point, Poe lived with his aunt, Maria Clemm and her young daughter Virginia. In 1836 Poe married his thirteen-year-old cousin, Virginia is thought to be the inspiration behind his poem ‘Annabel Lee’.
Poe evidently believed that ‘Eureka’ published in 1848, was his greatest achievement. He had written to his mother-in-law: “I have no desire to live since I have done ‘Eureka’…I could accomplish nothing more.”
For the month of December, we are exploring the life and work of Charles Dickens. Be sure to follow the #ClassicsInContext hashtag on Twitter to learn more!
