You think we’re going to get uniquely symbolic and personal tarot cards some with heavy foreshadowing like with P5/P5R or are you thinking they might phase it out all together.(Hope not.)

Still kinda hoping for minor arcana as well.

I'm almost entirely positive that, if they do use Arcana (which... I'd honestly be a little surprised if they didn't, even if we haven't seen it in-game for characters yet I'm holding out hope), they will be using the P5R tarot card designs, if that's what you're asking?

The P5R tarot cards are all in the files, along with the minor arcana (which seem to be used as items to power up characters, as they're equipped onto teammates?), and the minor arcana designs have evidently been designed to go along with the style of P5/P5R's major arcana cards. I suppose they've changed and redesigned plenty of things in these betas before, but I'd still be a bit surprised if they did that for the tarot cards at this point.

In the Opera Cendrillon her father says very early on “Weep for me, Philemon.”

This could be indicative of The Yoshizawas having some sort of knowledge of or connection to Philemon the true master of The Velvet Room.

Unfortunately ,Atlus has done exactly nothing with this and probably never will.

I can't really say on this one other than it being an interesting fact about the opera sadly. I guess it would have been another neat thing for Atlus to add but idk, maybe the twins not having ties to Philemon works better for me (though Philemon being the reason Kasumi's spirit was able to fuse with Cendrillon I can see being a thing possibly).

Does Leblanc Lupin ever call himself anything similar to pillager of twilight or is that something completely unique to P5 Arsène? I haven’t seen anything but there might be something similar in a story I haven’t read. The only self given title that I remember is when he called himself the emissary of fate. Really like that one. Pretty cool title.

As far as I'm aware, no he has not. I don't think Lupin has any titles that have been used with any frequency in canon other than "gentleman-cambrioleur," or "gentleman burglar"/"gentleman thief," when referred to by other people and by himself multiple times.

He's also been called "prince des cambrioleurs"/"prince of burglars" and "le bandit-roi"/"burglar king" once in 813.

Day 42

“… Locked himself in.”

“…Happened?”

“… Didn’t see it… but someone… his essence… barely controlled it in…”

“…Hunt them down… but first…”

“… can they… through walls?”

He wasn’t alone anymore.

In the corner of the room where he hid, (the corrupted being, the storm, the failed experiment) Erick slowly raised his head. He barely had the energy to do so. The constant white noise in his mind was louder than never before as branches of excess essence grew out from his back and head. His skin was flaking away, revealing the being that he turned into. Everything right now was reminding him that he wasn’t human anymore and he was tired.

His flickering gray eyes scanned through the empty, seeing nothing but boxes and containers in his static covered sight… or so he thought when a shiver of a figure glitched in his gaze.

He recognized her. Even as a mere wisp, he knew the presence of his beloved. And that’s why…

“Irene…” he hissed, static cracking in his voice. “Leave…”

Yet, it stayed. More so, it completely disobeyed him. Slowly, the wisp materialized into the room until a woman-like figure in a beautiful and intricate Victorian dress hovered in front of him.

Stubborn… just like her master.

As the spirit of her soul reached out, Erick immediately crawled away. She has to go! Now! Erick pulled his hair as the white noise grew louder for every second, as his essence leaked faster than he could control. The corruption was close to breaking out of his control and she’s still here. She was still here!

“Please…” he begged her. “I don’t… I don’t want to hurt her… not again.”

“Not again. Please.”

The memory of his beloved… lifeless in his arms as she was blighted by the static storm… by him don’t let it happen again, please…

Irene, however, remained still and unfazed. She only looked at him, her golden face of cogs and gears showing no such emotion. But before he knew it, she flew towards him and-

“Is it possible…?”

“Curses and corruption… they must be the same to some degree?”

“Wouldn’t hurt to try…”

Her voice resonated in his mind.

Erick opened his eyes to see Irene holding his face, her forehead touching his. As realization set in his mind, she spoke, “Her body couldn’t handle your power yet, yes… Her soul, on the other hand, has become powerful enough to love and accept all of you.”

“Do not worry, the keeper of her heart. After everything that had happened, you’re still you.”

Erick couldn’t help but laugh through the tears that he didn’t know was falling. He should had expected this. How dare did he ever doubted her… Dear stars, this was why he fell hopelessly for this woman and continue to do so…

Of course she'll find a way... She always does.

“Can… can you please stay?”

Without a word, Irene hugged him tightly. As she began to hum a song, her song, Erick soon melted in her arms.

The white noise was still there.

The pain was still there.

But at least… she was here.

In the Grimms’ version of Cinderella instead of a fairy godmother it’s her dead mother’s ghost that gives her supernatural aid. I think they took a page from those versions of Cinderella were it’s the ghost of a family member.

I personally see Newspaper Club Member as being another fairy godmother figure to Sumire too. She’s very protective of her and there being implications that Sumire admires her too. Given that the glasses she wants to give her father are red just like Newspaper Club Member’s.

You’re right and there’s the New Mementos cases he should be aware of and trying to stop but I guess that’s what happens when reality is in control of someone that literally has “the blind idiot god” as a persona.

I think Maruki definitely has a lot of blind spots especially when it comes to his own limitations

To be fair to him though, I think the people in New Mementos are just people he hasn't gotten around to "helping." It takes him like a month to complete the reality and he is doing this on his own, compared to *everyone in Tokyo*

One of my favorite things about PeterMJ is Peter is a genius and can deadlift cars and yet he talks and thinks about MJ who’s very normal given the Marvel universe with awestruck affection so often. And like he’s right she is amazing no superpowers required.

Oh for sure. He’s so enamored of her and it’s completely adorable. They have a very sweet and innocent little love and I’ll die if they mess it up.

My silly DCMK cousin theory is Ran and Kaito are cousins, her father and his mother are siblings. It’s mainly based on the fact Ran was named after Maurice Leblanc and would explain why Kaito’s dad chose to dress like Arsène Lupin to impress her. I don’t think either of them know. Kogoro also probably doesn’t know.

That's a fun idea! It would probably drive Shinichi crazy if he found out the thief he's been chasing is related to Ran lol
