A/N|| I kind of.. Completely forgot that Dogday was supposed to be a yandere, but he really wouldn't do much as one so... I think it's okay! ^_^

Your ‘name’ was SleepyMew. Not so good is it? Well stick with it, it’s what they named you. You had some resemblance to Catnap, you both were about sleeping, and you two were cats.

So when you arrived, the other critters were all over you, saying that you were similar to Catnap. While Catnap stared from the shadows. 

It wasn’t impossible to see him up there, cats do have night vision after all.

While almost every critter was surrounding you, Dogday stayed behind. Getting a gooood look at you. You noticed that too.

Dogday snapped out of his trance and told the other critters to not crowd you, especially since you’re new.

He asked for your name and you said, “SleepyMew, though I don’t like the name…” You rubbed your eye, because you were just sooo sleepy!

One unique thing about you is that you didn’t have a permanent smile, you could actually move your mouth. Even with your cool feature, nobody was jealous. They found it amazing!!

“Well I like the name!” Dogday exclaimed, causing the other critters to look at each other. Not curious, noooo, they think somethin new is goin on with Dogday.

“He has a crush on Mew.” KickinChicken whispered to Hoppy Hopscotch, and since dog’s have excellent hearing Dogday heard every bit of Kickin’s claim, “Hey! I do not!”

Kickin realized he was caught and said, “What? I never said that?? Man who said that…” Causing the other critters to giggle.

“... Anyways! Would you like to be shown around the place?” Dogday questioned you, still suspicious of what Kickin said.

“Uhh, yeah sure.”

“Great! Come this way!” He softly grabbed your wrist and led you towards areas of playcare.

Even Catnap was a little bit suspicious of Dogday’s feelings.

After Dogday gave you a tour around the place, you settled in and started doing what you were made for. Calming down the kids. There were a few 5-6 year olds that were too excited, and the kids needed to be more chill for the activity.

You lazily walked over to them, asking their names. The kids stated them, and you dealt with their ecstatic energy. Meanwhile, Dogday was watching you deal with them, feeling both proud and impressed at your work.

His feelings growing bigger.

After a few months of working at playcare you and Dogday were together.

You two were sitting on the couch, while Dogday was right next to you, his leg over your lap. He has his arms lightly wrapping around your neck, his head laying on your shoulder. Obviously his tail was wagging.

“Hey… You know how people get rings on their finger in shows…” Dogday said.

“Yea, but how do you know that?”

“I saw it on a show once. Anyways, do you want that to be us?” He looked to your eyes.

You looked back at him, “Yea.”

After a few days you guys actually had this marriage. You didn’t expect it to happen but that was okay.

Cutely, you guys had these little toy rings, KickinChicken was the marriage officiant, “And you may now hug each other not just the bride.”

Then you two had a big hug, with a big smile on your face. Now that was rare.

Years later, all was hell, hundreds of dreaded screams filled even the smallest cracks of Playtime co.

All critters were trying to find a way to live, except one, Catnap.

Dogday was trying his best to get people to safety, while simultaneously worrying about you. “Where’s Catnap?!”

“Catnap is one of the murderers Dogday, we need to go.”

His eyes went wide, he never knew Catnap was doing this.

“WHAT?! How do you—”

“I saw it. I saw him violently kick away the children just so he can have his fill. Catnap isn’t going to leave with us, in fact, he’s following the Prototype.”

This was so sudden for Dogday, his best friend was the cause of all of this?!

“I know a spot where we can—” Your fur stood up, your hairs itching at your toy skin. Your irises went smaller and smaller, you slowly turned your head towards him. Towards Catnap.

The much bigger Catnap.

Knowing you were in danger, you started growling(you are a cat after all), but Dogday was… surprised. What you said was true, it’s not like he didn’t believe you, it’s just he didn’t expect to see it before his eyes.

“Dogday, run.” This was a fight between two cats, it’s better not to try to stop it. It can get quite bloody.

“WHAT?! NO I CAN’T—”

“GO.”

Reluctantly, Dogday sped away.

“THE PROTOTYPE WILL SAVE US.”

“...”

Then, the cat fight started.

Dogday was helping out others get to safety, as the nice dog he is… He was waiting for you. Hoping you’d make it out alive.

An hour later, he was looking for you. He found you! And you weren’t dead! You were very bloodied up, laying on the ground.

Dogday hurried over to you, happy you’re still alive. You wanted to yell out, tell him to not come over, but he is listening. So you shook your head really hard, something you did before this all happened. Why? Because that's how you indicated to not do it, to do anything(you did it when you didn’t want to talk). 

Thankfully, Dogday was watching you and not just doing actions. So he stopped. Catnap was right there, he could strike at any moment. You didn’t want that to happen to your precious Dogday.

Even if Dogday didn’t come out of the hallway he was in, Catnap still attacked. Well tried to. Dogday dodged in time and ran over to you, picking you up and high tailing it outta there.

You two managed to get to a somewhat safe area, and Dogday had time to be alone with you. There’s some bandages and rags in the area so he could heal you up, just a little bit.

Dogday was trying to calm down, but couldn’t. As the smiling critter who’s supposed to help relax others, you took action.

“It’s okay Dogday. I won’t die.”

“...” He looked up at you, with sincerity, “I should’ve never ran away…”

You cracked a small smile, “Hey, at least I got like… 5 scratches in?” Dogday furrowed his eyebrows a little, “Mew don’t joke around right now.”

“Sorry…”

After all this time, you wondered where Dogday was. Alive, hopefully. Apparently an angel entered the building, and was able to get by all the chances of death.

You don’t know where they are now, but you hope they could save Dogday.

“Hey.. It’s… Okay it’s not alright, but try to think about the positive things..” Poppy comforted(tried to).

“I am, but it doesn’t help at all unless I know that he’s safe.” You were shivering, hoping the positive scenarios you thought of were true.

Few hours later, Poppy and Kissy found a safe place where the player, or Dogday, could be.

Though you didn’t know Dogday was going to be there.

So once you saw him, you sped over to where he was and picked him up(you were in your larger form like Dogday).

You were crying, that’s the first time you’ve cried, even when Catnap was nearly killing you.

“I miss you so much love..” … Love? That’s a new one.

“Since when did you start calling me love?” You said with a smirk.

Dogday got a little flustered, “Uhm, I remembered that you didn’t really like your name, so I just thought of it…”

“Mhm.” You looked down and saw that he had no lower half. “Oh, that’s also new. Is that why you were so light?”

“... Yes.”

“Hm, player, do you know how to put together his body?”

They nodded and they immediately started working on putting his body back together.

After an hour, he finally had his legs back, he was still shorter than you though. “Hah! I’m tallerrrr!!” You bragged.

“... Really…?” He wasn’t annoyed, in fact he was happy, that he gets to see your smile again.

Player suddenly remembered that they found a ring while ‘adventuring’.

They mentioned it and asked if that’s anyone’s ring. Yours and Dogday’s eyes went wide. “Dogday is that your—”

“MY RING!!”

The player unknowingly just caused the biggest reaction from you two, just because they wanted to search around a little more.

“Angel, where did you find this?!”

They said it was in this area with a big paw pillow in the room.

“Catnap was keeping your ring?” You questioned.

It went silent, not for too long as your cat growls slowly filled the area.

“I’m killing that stupid cat.”

“Love, don't say that!”

Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: The Smiling Critters (or "Smiling Buddies")

A colourful band of friends, these are who you may (or may not) know as the Smiling Critters! Well, they are different in the IAB! continuity than you may know them in Poppy Playtime, especially over in Dimension MP-2021, where their roles are most prominent.

In this universe, they are NOT fictional characters from a TV show or toy lineup, but they are instead real characters in-universe who co-exist alongside everyone else in MP-2021. As it happened, all eight had applied for Bumper High School at the beginning of One More Hero and were getting ready to study alongside OMT!Tails and the ApocalypseTitan kid characters.

Daylight the Pup (DogDay)

The leader of the friend group and one of the most optimistic of the eight. He's shown to be very loyal to his friends, and he's one of the first OMT!Tails passes by on the open week at the school.

Bubba the Elephant (Bubba Bubbaphant)

The blue elephant member and one of the top students in classes, up there with OMT!Tails (mainly in math and science) and Max Cartwright. He's naturally smart and has a really good memory for things, and he's sometimes about to keep check on the below-mentioned petition and see how it's coming along.

Kickroyale the Chicken (Kickin' Chicken)

The yellow chicken member who is full of radical attitude for those around him and can be pretty smug about stuff. Though it does cause trouble on occasion for those around him, he's still got a good heart, and he's a bit of a softie deep down. Though he is the "cool kid" of his gang, he is pretty prone to fear, and is open to asking others for help if he really needs it.

As it happens, in One More Hero, he's the first to come to OMT!Tails and Bobby's aid when Benny starts bullying them for the heck of it (and even had the gall to mock Bobby's all-loving status), and he kept his trap shut when Richard attacked the school in More than One Universe to avoid being noticed.

Picky Patch the Pig (PickyPiggy)

The pink pig member and the big eater of the bunch. Contrary to her name, she isn't picky, but she enjoys lunchtimes at school and usually picks something filling and healthy to have for her daily meals. Of course, she can be picky about trying light snacks or fast foods, due to not wanting to be unhealthy in her life.

Picky is also one of the most optimistic and level-headed in the group, and is there to calm the others down if things are getting out of hand. And out of the goodness in her heart, when she heard that OMT!Tails was off sick, she shared some apples she had picked from an orchard for him to enjoy.

Hoppy Scotch the Bunny (Hoppy Hopscotch)

The green rabbit member and the most excitable of the bunch. She gives a lot of enthusiasm to friends around her, though can come off as loud or impatient sometimes because of this, so she does make time to slow down for her friends.

Of the bunch, she was one of the bigger fans of OMT!Sonic when he was still alive, and aspired to be able to run fast like him, hence her decision to ask OMT!Tails to give running or hopping a shot with her whenever they got the chance to hang out.

Crafty "CraftyCorn" Canvas the Unicorn

The white, yet colourful, unicorn member and one of the more shy members. She is shy around meeting new people, but especially enjoys art and the vast wonders it can create. As an aspiring artist, she finds it very important to share the art she creates with others and finding beauty in pretty much anything around her.

She's the Smiling Buddy who has the most influence in points of One More Hero's plot, as she had heard about the rising prevalence of AI in art theft and disliked the idea, so she enlisted OMT!Tails's help to go and get people to sign her petition to make AI art outright illegal in Dimension MP-2021.

OMT!Tails did find some difficulty in getting all the required signatures at first, but when the alternate crew from the Blur Gang came along, that's when he made excellent progress, and he handed the finished petition back to Crafty at the end of the story for her to put forward. She even painted a picture of him (including one with his nano-suit) and sent it to him as a thank you for what he did.

Bobby Hugster the Bear (Bobby Bearhug)

The young red bear member and the all-loving part of the gang. She's a young girl who shows love and compassion for pretty much anybody, no matter who they are. However, this all-loving status doesn't come without its flaws, as it leaves her vulnerable to bullying, which she wouldn't have made it through if not for people like OMT!Tails and Kickroyale having her back.

In One More Hero, she's the first to see how nervous Tails is about settling into his new school in those next six months, and offers him some starting companionship while he gets to grips with the place. And once she heard about what went down with Uma, she's the first to comfort OMT!Tails once he returns to the school dorms, knowing just how difficult it must be for him to cope with.

Of course, thanks to her being there whilst OMT!Tails was being comforted by the Blur Gang, it meant she also got caught up in the crazy hide-and-seek when Danny entered the room, and then pinned in the room with OMT!Tails when the Blur Gang headed out to shut down Eggman Nega's invention themselves, though she was freed once Tails got his heroic second wind.

Naksh the Cat (CatNap)

The last member of the Smiling Buddies, and arguably the one who's changed THE MOST from his original counterpart. He's not constantly sleepy, but he is selectively mute and hasn't smiled a lot, even when with his friends. He had a rough home life and finds comfort in being around people who genuinely get it.

He does show up to help comfort OMT!Tails after Uma is hospitalised, though due to being more nervous, he doesn't stick around after the Blur Gang arrive at his dorm, though does show fascination when he witnesses proof of the multiverse from them.

Through this knowledge, he saw about his portrayals from Playtime Co. and the horrors of the factory, and isn't afraid to show his dislike for BOTH portrayals, feeling they don't capture who he really is at all.

And in general...

Each of them enjoy being around OMT!Tails and have all supported him from the sidelines in his quest to protect Mobius from destruction at the hands of crazed villains. Though their roles are not as major as anyone from the Blur Gang, Quill Society or rogues gallery, they all still make sure to do their part where it counts.

5. Catnap likes scaring people.

Sometimes he spooks his friends accidentally, but other times he actually does it for fun, just to see if they’d get scared.

They do.

Especially a certain sunshine dog.

Whenever Dogday gets jump scared by Catnap, his soul will literally come out of his body.

Nap doesn’t scare anyone as bad as he does Dogday. And funny thing is, most of the time with Day is completely accidental.

Scenario: Dogday, Kickin Chicken and Hoppy Hopscotch goes into the kitchen one night to get snacks.

They do this in secret, and as quietly as they can so Nap doesn’t find out they’re not asleep. He doesn’t like when his friends aren’t asleep when they should be.

Mommy Long Legs doesn’t like it either.

So they’re trying to not alert both of them.

Day, Kickin and Hoppy already got their snacks, and they’re just talking to each other in the kitchen.

Then, Hoppy and Kickin sees something in the the hallway, like two glowing white dots. It’s dark so they can’t really see anything but that.

Hoppy asks if Kickin and Day sees it too, and since Day had his back to the exit of the kitchen, he turns around. But then gets confused because he doesn’t see anything.

So he turns back around.

And Hoppy and Kickin let’s it go.

Until they turn their attention back to the hallways, but then see Catnap standing right behind Dogday.

They both jump a little with a yelp. And that catches Day’s attention again.

So he whips around again, sees Nap, and screams louder than Kickin and Hopscotch, literally getting up and flying towards the fridge.

“Why are you all awake?” ( Nap actually says this in a non-sinister way )

The whites in Dogday’s black eyes have disappeared because his soul is literally out of his body, as he’s still clinging to the refrigerator.

Kickin and Hoppy nervously laugh it off, but then it turns into actual hearty laughter because it’s only Catnap. They obviously recovered quicker than Dogday.

Catnap ushers them to bed anyway, making them leave all of their snacks.

It’s safe to say, don’t be Nap and jump scare Day unless you want to be the reason for a heart attack.

All of the smiling critters have a smiling critters plushie of themselves.

Nap and Craftycorn are the two clumsiest critters. Nap trips on his tail more often than not, and Crafty just has terrible motor control ( Just like me fr ).

The youngest critters are Bobby Bearhug and Kickin Chicken, being 7 years old.

Dogday’s the oldest, being 9. All of the rest are 8.

They all learn in the same grade under the same teacher though.

Kickin Chicken believes Santa Clause is real. Nobody has ever told him that wasn’t the case.

The critters all have their own houses, but sometimes they just camp in Mommy’s or Delight’s house.

Ms. Delight teaches the students more languages, like Spanish, Korean and Japanese, since Hoppy is Dominican, Nap is Japanese and African American, and Crafty is Caucasian and Korean.

When I think of the critters being best bestest friends with another, then I think it’s -

Picky and Crafty, Bobby and Hoppy, Kickin and Bubba, and Nap and Day.

But they’re all each other best friends.

Kickin knows that Nap is crazy about catching red lasers and everything, so he teases him with the laser all the time.

Hoppy and Kickin like pranking Nap with cucumbers.

Day chases his tail.

Picky helps Mommy and Delight cook/bake for the critters whenever they do.

Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy come and visit the critter kids sometimes.

So does Poppy.

Poppy’s like the critters’ auntie.

Huggy and Kissy are their big siblings.

And Mommy and Delight are their moms. Or Delight is their auntie as well. THAT’S ALL FOR NOW!

⭐ Familial relationships: Bubba bubbaphant (Big brother/Father figure)

⭐ Very very VERY competetive and is quite the sore loser, espically when loosing to Hoppy

⭐ He always strggled with academics growing up, he struggled to read and do even the bare basics math. At one point his teachers gave up teaching him and Kickin just decided to never try any academic again and turned to surfing and sports to give him purpose in life

⭐ Bubba is the only teacher figure in his life that has neve lost his paitence with him and encouraged him to keep going when he struggled with any math or reading

⭐ he comes of as arrogant and very rude but he learned how to behave like this from his dad, I won't go into much detail about his father but I'll just say he wasn't a nice person.

⭐ Kicken has been living on his own since he was twelve, since his father decided that was old enough for him to take care of himself

⭐ the only way Kicken learned that acting the way he did was wrong is because his friends had taught him it wasn't ok, to act like that

⭐ Basically his friends were 10 times a better influence than his actual parent

⭐ His star necklace can mean alot of things, personality wise his star could mean that he always feels like a shining star in the world or that he has a vibrant and shining personality

⭐ Special power wise I looked at the necklace more closely for this one, His star could represent the stars in the sky, however the star looks a little bit like a sea star. Sea stars can regenerate their limbs and in Kicken bio, it is said that Kicken "Dusts himself off and asks what's next" So i came up with the idea that Kicken can heal himself when he get's hurt. This doesn't account for bigger wounds like a broken bone, more like small cuts and bruises, even then it can take atleast a day to heal those

⭐ He has little star nightlights in his room, given to him by Catnap, he loves falling asleep with them on

⭐ He's very attached to Bubba and comes to him whenever he feels sad, scared, or even frustrated.

⭐ if you ask him why he won't give you an answer beyond "Bubba is just a nerd that needs me to protect him.." These answers are jut cover ups though.

⭐ His favorite sport is surfing and he loves to swim.

16. A childhood headcanon

HopKick:

KickinChicken and Hoppy Hopscotch's first meeting was in the skate place when they was 13 y/o and pratict on there, in first time Kickin saw Hoppy he started having a romantic feeling and a rivaly at same time so in same day Kickin planned a challenge to her on the skate place, but Hoppy won, so in a day Kickin planned more challenges to see who is better than who, and Hoppy Hopscotch was the winner in all of the sports, one of the sports they getting their face on each-other closing and Hoppy started having a romantic feeling too.

CraftyDay:

their first meeting was in a playground, when Crafty was crying close on a waterfall so DogDay saw her and helping what happend, so when Crafty show her face to DogDay, he started blushing and having a romantic feeling, and she said that a person with their friends said that she is a schizophrenic, so DogDay said to her to not listen for these people and he said that these tips of persons are bullies, so when Crafty was coming back to her home she saw DogDay before she goes on her home to thanks and she said that what DogDay said really worked out, and DogDay was super happy with her and gives her a big hug, when they looks at each-other closing, DogDay runs away blushing and happy.

when they started the challenges/competions that Kickin planned, they are having alot fun with each-other on these competitives and also when they started dating they was happy and still are.

CraftyDay:

when Crafty said that what DogDay said to her really worked out DogDay was super happy with this and he gives her a big hug, she was happy too. when DogDay meets her older sister VioletCorn, he also was super happy for meeting her.

29. How do you think they would be as a parent? (and if they are a parent, how do you think they would be if they weren't?)

HopKick:

Hoppy Hopscotch and KickinChicken should be a cool parents, when their child make 5 months later they'll teach their child how to walk, when their child make 2 or 5 years they will teaches their child to play with sports but they abit are very worried if their child will have something that hurts, and also in the future i'll make a fanchild for they based on a silkie, they also will put him on a really cool School to their child training with.

CraftyDay:

CraftyCorn and DogDay should be a GREAT parents, when Crafty was 12 y/o she really wanted being a parent when she grow up so she make a drawing about what her child should look like, Crafty also can training with her child how to drawing like her and DogDay can training his child who to interact with the people, having a courage, don't be afraid with everything, and specially don't be shy (like their mom-), and of course putting their child on a really cool School to their child be a good student and having alot friends, and ofc i'll make their fanchild in future.

An employee escorted you to Playcare, after the train ride and Elliot’s long speech of course. You were a new kid added to the bunch. You’ve been hanging around in Playtime co for a while, so the employees told the upper staff, then they told Elliot.

Elliot instructed them for you to stay at Playcare, so you’re here now. This place was huge. There’s… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... 5 buildings, you counted. You looked up at the ‘sky’, and saw ‘clouds’. Further up, you could see glass, is that the real sky?

The same employee escorted you over to home sweet home, and you were pretty shy, due to you being new to the huge place. The tons of people, toys, big buildings, it's all so new. And kind of scary, due to the big toys. But you do like one.

Kissy… Missy? You think that's her name. She's really sweet.

You entered Home Sweet Home and saw a bunch of kids running around. And… Are those animals..? A dog, a bunny, a bear, a chick—

“Oh, hello!” Somebody greeted you, being out of your vision so you had to turn around.

“You’re new here right?” You nodded your head, being a little surprised by the sudden interaction.

“Ok! I’m PickyPiggy! What’s your name?” You said yours, and she brightened up by that. Even if you were shy, you could at least introduce yourself. Hm. You’re an interesting one.

“Here, follow me! I’ll introduce you to the other critters!” You raised your eyebrows at that, there’s more? How many? You hope there isn’t too much.

Picky took you somewhere, hopefully actually taking you to the critters. She did, no worries.

“Guys! There’s a new kid and—” The other critters were dealing with the kids, not having time for introducing themselves. “Oh.. Uhm..” 

Dogday was dealing with telling kids not to be rude. Kickin was trying to get his soccer ball back from the kids. Craftycorn was trying to get her art supplies back from little 5 year olds. Bobby was being crowded by random 7 year olds. Bubba was looking for his math papers, that were stolen by kids. And Hoppy was being dragged around by younger children.

You, as a 6 year old, not knowing what’s going on, couldn’t even take a bit of charge. So you were standing there, waiting for something(other than this) to happen. Picky was getting impatient, so she raised her voice, just a little ^_^!

“GUYS! THERE IS A NEW KID HERE!! YOU NEED TO INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!!!!” It went quiet. Nobody expected for a critter to raise their voice! Picky had no problem though.

“... Oh uhm! E- Everybody gather at your tables and PLEASE resume your activities!” Dogday spoke up, if he could sweat, he would, he’s never seen or heard Picky yell before…

You hid behind Picky, somewhat trusting her more than anybody else at this place. Also you were shy. And new. I’ve said that already, right?

Dogday saw your shyness and reassured you, “It’s okay little one! This place is safe! Even with the chaotic kids… Anyways, we are the smiling critters! I’m Dogday! … Guys, introduce yourselves—”

“I’m KickinChicken! I like sports—”

“ANYWAYSS!! I’m Hoppy Hopscotch! I’m the better version of Kickin!” “HEY!”

“I’m Bobby Bearhug, I do love.. Stuff..”

“I’m Craftycorn! I do art, and accentuate creativity!”

“I’m Bubba Bubbaphant! The ‘smart one’, that’s what the kids call me…”

“I’m sure Picky Piggy already introduced herself to you, right?”

You nodded your head, still being behind her. You were such a cutie!

“Alright! There’s one more, but he’s.. Somewhere… I’m not sure where he is…” You looked around, trying to see if that ‘he’ is in the room.

“D- Do you mean that one..?” You asked, pointing to a high area. It looked like nothing was there, but you could see his white beady eyes in the shadows.

“Oh! Yeah! That’s Catnap!” Dogday said.

You stayed staring at him. Slightly wondering why he was up there and not down here. He seemed mysterious, especially with that purple color.

“Oh and— What’s your name buddy?” You tensed up, you have to say your name… Again?

Picky saw that you didn’t really like speaking that much, so she did it for you. “Okay kiddo! Would you like to do the activities, or take a tour of the place?” Well, you were hungry, but he didn’t state it as an option.

Your stomach spoke for you, saying you were hungry with a loud rumble. Some of the critters giggled from it, “Guys… Anyways, you’re hungry right? Do you want some food?”

You nodded your head. No duh you’d want some food.

After eating, you wanted a tour of the place. There were a ton of rooms, but since you came out of nowhere, there wasn’t really a room ready for you. The critters had a room, so you could stay there when it was time to sleep.

The critters now having an introduction, and a bright smile, you could trust them. For now.

You did the activity with Picky by your side, because you trusted her the most. You quickly did the activity, proving your smarts to somebody. Bubba Bubbaphant. He found you quite the smart kid, and it’s your first day here!

Good job.

For the next few weeks of being at Playcare, you had a lot of reasons for the critters to like you, you were also clingy to them, so they can’t ever be lonely.

They wanted to keep you here, particularly getting a little bit more mad than usual if somebody was rude to you. One time a kid stole your art supplies, Craftycorn got more mad than usual, she was kind of holding back on fully outlashing at the kid.

… You were doing something to them.

They didn’t want you to have your own room. They wanted to keep you in theirs.

Hm. You wanted to meet Catnap, but couldn’t, he didn’t come out at day, he came out at night. And at night, you were asleep. What if you secretly stayed up one day?

“Good night everybody!” Dogday said, everybody said it back, but you didn’t. (Almost) All of the critters noticed this, wondering why you didn’t respond back like you usually do.

“What if I stayed up..? I wanna see uh, Catnap. That’s his name, I think.” The critters looked at each other, communicating whether it was a bad idea. “Well, the workers never come in here. So we won’t really get in trouble..” Kickin spoke up.

They all agreed to stay up, for some time, not pull an all-nighter or something. They’re all talking, while you were silent. Finally, the sound of a door creaked open. There he was! Catnap!

It went quiet again, you got out of ‘your’ bed(Which is Catnap’s) and went up to the cat. You two stared at each other. You didn’t know what to say, Catnap didn’t want to talk. It wasn’t awkward, for you two at least. The other critters didn’t know what to do in this situation.

Now here’s some Hoppy Hopscotch headcanons!

•Hoppy doesn’t usually like going slow, but she adores running with her two younger brothers to no end

•Usually has to be watched during hikes or camping or other trips so she doesn’t run too far

•Gets a little sick when winter turns to spring, but isn’t fully convinced that she has seasonal allergies since she was never diagnosed with any allergies

•Has a small star plushie made by Bobby

•Has two little twin brothers who love to play with her when they come to see her with their dad and mom

•Was a lot like herself now when she was a kid, but more and defensive of both her parents (one of the games they played was one of her parents being a monster and she’d protect the other parent)

•The one who accidentally wakes up Catnap the most, but often makes up for her mistake by preventing others from doing the same so he can get his nap in

•Her relationship with her little brothers is a lot like old cartoons’ depiction of sibling relationships (think very sweet and wholesome with a few “hey, big sis!” and “how’ve you little rascals been?”) while her friendship with Kickin’ Chicken is a little bit like real life sibling relationships with how competitive they can get

•Favorite food is oatmeal

•Often loud without realizing and needs to be reminded, but down the line, she’ll start to ask if she’s being too loud

•Impatient at times and doesn’t usually see the importance of being patient, except when it comes to timing during something such as baseball or tennis

•Once got lost in a corn maze as a child, but remained surprisingly calm about it and went up to one of the scare actors to ask if they could help her find her parents (they obviously agreed, but went right back to scaring once they found her parents)

•Tends to rapidly stomp her foot when she’s extra angry about something

•Pretty heavy sleeper

•Snores, but not obnoxiously loud or something like in some kids shows

•Scared of being trapped in a tight space

•Most likely to forget to clean until the last minute

•Dreams of being a famous track runner

•Wants to run a marathon someday, but hasn’t heard of one happening yet, so she sometimes wonders if her daily run is for nothing before remembering the saying “Prior preparation prevents poor performance”

•Extrovert
