Footballers as Pokemon Trainers, YNWA EDITION

Klopp, Alisson Becker and Virgil are in this post. Also this one is kind of longer than the others, sorry! I just really like how these teams came out and wanted to explain my reasonings behind them!!

@liverpool-enjoyer, @addictivewhispering and @lonely-salamander the usual! come get ur food, etc.

Firstly, as I'm doing Liverpool's manager, I'd like to cover Liverpool's mascot Pokemon as well, which I'd say is Moltres. Because it's just like the red bird on the Liverpool thingie. All mascots will probably be legendaries/mythicals/pseudos unless some other pokemon fits PERFECTLY for it.

Now onto Klopp himself.

Jurgen Klopp

now my friend theo (@addictivewhispering) made an EXCELLENT post about how different coaches would be as pokemon trainers, and with their permission I'll be putting that here:

i think klopp would prioritize speedy pokemon with good attack. glass cannons who are fragile defensively (get it bc liverpool players are always injured...). he'd use lots of priority moves along with things like u-turn and volt switch to try and overrun the opponent. always tries to hit as hard as he can, lots of boosted crit rate moves too

That sums up what I'd see his Pokemon fighting style to be! As a coach he gets to go past the 3 pokemon pattern I've been doing so far, but other than coaches (and Ronaldo, when I get around to him), everyone else should have three pokemon.

Talonflame

Although I don't believe it would be his starter, I believe Talonflame would be Klopp's signature battling Pokemon. First of all, it's the red YWNA bird. Secondly it fits with his fighting style; Talonflame plays as a fragile cannon and can also be used as a pivot since it learns U-Turn. Another thing I did with these was I tried to make them advantageous (and disadvantageous) in certain conditions, as a cheeky reference to how Klopp often blames the outcome of a match on the conditions of the pitch (the wind, height of grass, etc.). So for Talonflame, it has a 4x weakness to Stealth Rocks, which is the most prominent entry hazard in the metagame currently. It's also powerful in the Sun weather, and really bad in Rain.

2. Perrserker

This is what I believe would be Klopp's starter Pokemon, and by extension, his partner Pokemon. When I sent Max an ask about this sort of thing, she suggested Melmetal for Klopp, but I don't give legendaries to trainers, so I decided on giving him a Steel-type. Perrserker has his beard and also his toothy grin, as well as jovial attitude, but fierceness in battle (on the pitch). Perrserker's ability, Steely Spirit, powers up other Steel-types in the party (although I didn't give klopp any more steel types) which feels very YNWA to me. Also, Perrserker is very good in Sandstorm.

3. Abomasnow

This one is the main part of my "translating the Klopp blaming the weather meme" idea. Abomasnow is bearded like Klopp as well. But for those who don't know, Abomasnow's ability sets up Hail (called Snow now) which is obviously its most advantageous weather. It also has a 4x weakness to Fire, which ties in with Talonflame and having disadvantages in certain situations. And although I agrre that Klopp would use sweepers, I do think he would still want to set up an Aurora Veil.

4. Hydreigon

Drei is the german word for three. Hydreigon is german. Jurgen is german. Hydreigon also has a 4x weakness to Fairy type.

5. Noibat

Jurgen would capture a Noibat because he found it cute, then would realize it can amplify his voice, then use it when celebrating at the sides to make his laughs of joy heard, as well as when he shouts orders. He also thinks it's very cute. It also has a 4x weakness to Ice.

idk if u've noticed, but it seems like Klopp's team is good against one another. Well it was intentional. I feel like Klopp would unintentionally do that. Then he's just like. Oh well. Anyways

Alisson Becker

Does not like battling that much, if at all. Prefers contests if anything, but really just wants to vibe, tbh. Also I accidentally made him a Fairy type trainer. Oh well.

Shiny Ribombee

Max said that Alisson would have a weakness for cute things like and I agree. Cutiefly (Ribombee's baby form) is the smallest, cutest thing ever. I feel like Alisson would meet it by catching it between a pair of big goalkeeper gloves and just fall in love with it. Idk. And then they were inseparable from there.

2. Mega Gardevoir

Alisson always gave me the vibes of "fierce, cute protector" which is exactly what Gardevoir is. People think it's weak and flimsy because of it's design...but it can literally open black holes. Yeah I'm not 100% about this one but I think it fits. Well, I can guarantee you Alisson would have a Ralts.

3. Cottonee

Another example of him having a weakness for pretty things. The way Cottonee's cotton is styled reminds me of Alisson's hair and beard as well. Also I imagine he lets it use Aromatherapy to calm him down when he's anxious.

Virgil:

Virgil definitely just likes big, defensive, scary-looking Pokemon. But secretly they're all just sillies like he is.

Golurk

Golurk would definitely be his starter...like that's Virgil embodied right there. It has his looming stare, big frame, and also it fucking flies and I think Virgil would find that awesome, and take Alisson on rides with it.

2. Metagross

Similar reasoning to Golurk tbh. But here's the thing. Despite how big and strong Metagross looks, it's still weak to Knock Off (dark-type move), and that fact for some reason, reminds me of that video of Van Dijk tripping where the commentator called him van disney. yeah don't ask idk either.

Alisson kept bugging him to capture a 'cute' fairy type,,,,,and it's this fucking thing yep

“So, Vanilla, what have you been up to? You’ve been awfully quiet lately.”

Excellent question, person I made up in my head. I’ve been watching each and every one of the Pawmark Dash to Delibird Day movies released in The Year Of The Twin Dragons 2023. There are 42 of them, which deeply unsettles me.

But unfortunately I dedicated myself to the art of cataloguing Pawmark movies when I was a much sadder and lonelier Zorperson, and I’m too stubborn to quit now. (That, and they’re a guilty pleasure; sue me.)

So, below the cut is my ratings of some of them. About 10. Not all 42, I still have some semblance of a life. I did watch all of them though, so I guess if there's any Pawmark enthusiasts who really need to know my thoughts, you can send me an ask? Or you can ask me in-person. At my New Year's party. 1. Celebi With You: Young career businesswoman comes back to her old hometown devoted to Delibird Day and nothing else. Grandpa asks her to take over the shop. She refuses because she has a career. Local childhood-friend-man in flannel gets sad. A Celebi takes her back in time to watch her grandparents’ romance as they open the shop. She changes her mind, gets with the male lead in a very rushed side plot, everyone’s happy.

This one’s a shaky 5/10. Points for not focusing the modern romance first and foremost, but it’s so sloppily done. There's no lead-up to the kiss. And I mean, it's Pawmark. There usually isn't. But give us some level of flirtation! Grandma and gramps are cute, though. Shame grandma’s dead for no reason other than “there must be at least one dead relative in a Pawmark movie”. Also, the CGI Celebi looks TERRIBLE. Like, eye-bleedingly so. That is an onion and a few pipe cleaner legs. I know they can’t get a real Celebi, but at least get a Ditto instead!

2. A Little Holiday Maschiff: The obligatory “turn your brain off and watch cute puppies” movie. Female lead recently lost her Stoutland. Somebody leaves a box of Maschiff puppies on her step in the winter cold. She takes them to the “hunk” at the Pokémon shelter, because she’s not ready to open her heart again, but the shelter’s on the brink of being shut down. They co-pup-parent and create a Delibird Day Pokémon Pageant to fundraise and save the shelter. Get in a fight because the male lead thinks she’s actually trying to get the shelter sold. They make up. They kiss. They adopt like 3 Maschiff puppies. The end.

8/10, but not because of the plot. The “fight” they have is absolutely idiotic. No, the reason I say 8/10 is because I can understand everything those little Maschiff have to say and their commentary is worth their weight in gold. Even if 90% of it is “Am I a good boy? Can I go for a walk after this? Why am I in a box again?”. So good. 4/10 for anybody who doesn’t understand Pokémon. At least the puppies are still cute to look at.

3. Snow Warning: Short summary here because it’s so generic. F!Lead gets caught in once-in-a-lifetime blizzard on her way home. Flight cancelled. Has to share a hotel room with smarmy male lead who looks down on her job as a novelist (and is also a wildly successful businessman). The two roadtrip their way down to F!Lead’s hometown so she can go see her sick dad. Grow a begrudging respect. Eventually they kiss for some reason. Also there’s a side-plot about how the guy actually pissed off an Abomasnow and caused the whole thing, but that wasn’t really interesting. ...Somehow. How do you mess that up?

2/10. The chemistry’s off. I get going for “you hate me so bad you want to kiss me” tension, but it really just comes off like the female lead ought to sock her "date" in the face already. Instead we get a weak “Sorry I called your books stupid. I read one page of your debut novel and it’s not. Can we kiss now?”. Yawn. Also, he never apologizes for the whole Abomasnow thing, which seems like a pretty massive oversight? If we're being realistic here, that's getting held over that man's head for at least a good five years.

4. Sawsbuck’s Greetings: A movie focused around the female lead, who runs a Sawsbuck farm that’s been passed down for generations, and the male lead, who kicks puppies for a living and wants to put a golf course there. But don’t worry, he learns after she makes a deal with him that if he stays on the farm for 30 days and doesn’t see the value of it, he can buy it. Because that’s how buying real estate works. The guy actually has some traumatic history with Pokémon that the saintly female lead helps him overcome. He cuts ties with his company, moves into the Sawsbuck farm, and they have the Pawmark Kiss.

3.5/10 for me. Not even the bored Sawsbuck save this (they are so, so bored). There’s no interesting side characters anywhere! No life! Also, I will say it once again: love does not heal trauma. They try to make it seem like this man goes from erring 50 feet away from “those horrid beasts” to snuggling up with a Deerling in the early AM all thanks to a woman's love. That is not how that works. Get therapy. (I say this knowing full well I would not be as critical if it were gay. Know your biases, folks.)

5. The Chingling Ring: This is one of their “Deli-Day Wedding” movies. A sequel to last year’s “The Chingling Sing”. Female lead gets cold feet about marrying male lead. They nearly break up to all of their friends’ constant dismay. But the woman's Chimecho works with her fiance to gather 25 Chingling to show her 25 places all key to her relationship with her soon-to-be husband. Of course he’s waiting at the 25th, they kiss, make up, happy wedding, baby at the end of it.

Surprisingly, a 6.5/10. The concept is a decent one, if only they didn’t have to stick to 25 arcdamn places instead of… five? Even 12, if you’re looking for something holiday-like but smaller. Each place gets no focus at all, because of course they don’t. It’s an 80-minute movie! The gesture is really romantic though. Chingling are so so adorable. And the male lead is genuinely sympathetic throughout. Just… agh, the rush. Also, do we always need a baby at the end of the wedding ones?

6. Special Delivery: Sort of a mystery movie, on the first female lead's side. (Yes, 1/2!) She, a detective, starts receiving mysterious gifts via Delibird from a ‘secret admirer’. Determined to figure out more, she goes on a hunt through the specifics of the gifts, the places they’re ordered from, and even tracks a Delibird itself. Along the way, she keeps confiding in her best friend, the second lead, about the situation. First lead thinks it's from her coworker, but no, it's a red herring. Lo and behold, it turns out the gifts are secretly coming from... the second lead! There’s a decent coming out/confession scene, which is a compliment for a film studio where movies are produced in 5 weeks. Pawmark Kiss. End film. (Too soon.)

I promise this is not just my lesbian bias (it is), but 7/10. The two leads truly understand the power of pining. Of yearning! …The gift situation is so blatantly obvious that it very much feels like the movie spins its wheels for a while, though. I feel like they were trying to have a twist, because the male lead's pretty heavily marketed, but he also falls flat as a character other than "hey, he's there, and he probably likes you". As a result, though, I thought I was going insane for thinking the leads had chemistry for the first 50 minutes until this film fully vindicated me, something that is incredibly rare with a Pawmark movie. They’d better make a sequel. That’s up-front about its being gay, and at least halfway decent.

7. Deck The Royal Halls: What would Pawmark be without its annual foreign prince movie. This time from the made-up kingdom of “Britain”. Where are they even pulling these names from now? Bog-standard, except the two leads also have to work together to handle the King getting possessed by the legendary Calyrex along the way. Because apparently the “old family heirloom” Hometown Female Lead brings as a gift to His Highness is actually its crown. Anyways, Calyrex demands the two of them get married in the name of the kingdom. They waver on this in some royal courtship, get into a fight, and eventually agree. Happily ever after.

4.5/10: This movie is so cluttered. There’s no good justification for why the female lead is there, why her family has this ancient treasure, and why it is so absolutely crucial she marry The Prince. Calyrex’s VA is very funny during the possession scenes though. So the movie gets an extra point. Calyrex trying to give Mr. Prince Guy a confession pep talk is genuinely one of the better written comedy bits I’ve seen on the channel in a while. Shame the CGI for Calyrex is... not very good. There's no way its head is that big.

8. A Champion Chrismas: So this is what they've had Champion Leon up to since he lost his title. The Battle Tower and paying him to take part in mass-produced rom-coms. Anyways, unfortunately for the female lead, who is absolutely trying her best, this movie is entirely about Leon--or Levi, and how the self-insert (AKA, female lead) saves him from his battling slump when he comes home for the holiday season to his totally-not-Postwick small town with his totally-not-Hop little brother. (who is, actually, played by Hop Laventon. How did they get all of these people???) Anyways, the female lead shows Le-whoever the "joy of Delibird Day" again, they kiss, Le-guy wins a big championship match with his Charizard for her and shouts her out on live TV.

6/10, purely because it's fun to see how non-acting celebrities deal with acting. Also, this is 100% somebody's Leon x Reader fanfiction that got brought to Pawmark's writing room and approved without a second thought. I love that for whoever that was. (Though pretending that definitely isn't Leon and he totally isn't dating Raihan is a bit ingenuous.) Anyways, the writing sucks. The poor heroine is the epitome of a self-insert, for very obvious reasons. But I will admit, I can see why Leon has so many fangirls. He's great at playing that sort of "charming, down to earth" guy. His little brother's pretty good at acting too! Even if he really got shoved to the side for the sake of the love plot. Always seems to be the case for that poor kid...

9. Operation: Present: A movie about... Santa from the future? I think somebody saw Iron Bundle and ran away with it a bit too much. (Also, they have a real Iron Bundle there. This scares me.) Anyways, in this movie, Santa's son appears in front of a social media "influencer" with an Iron Bundle and tells her that if she doesn't convince the world Santa is real, they'll fall into a dark timeline...? I'm so lost as to who wrote this. Is this still Pawmark? I guess it's tangentially Delibird Day-related. Anyways, these two go on a... social media campaign... to spark belief in Santa. Livestreams, Chatters, anything a 60-year-old exec believes is part of social media usage, it's there. But actually, Ms. Influencer doesn't even believe in Santa herself, so they get in this big fight, until Santa's Son gets this notification that Christmas is saved or whatever. They make up. They kiss. I am so lost.

2/10, I am relatively sure this movie was made by drawing ideas out of a hat? And shoving them together? So it's a time-travel, social-media, robot-Delibird, Santa's son, romance movie? Why did they not pick an angle. Any one of those could have worked as an angle. As it is, I feel like I'm going insane even trying to describe the plot. ...And yet I feel as though I know several people this could happen to. Such is the reality of our multiverse.

10. Don't Have A Bird: Okay, they clearly used all of their ideas on the last movie. Because this one is about a woman who works at an Unfezant tip line. As in, a tip line on how to cook Unfezant at the holidays. (Which feels more like a Thanksgiving movie, but I digress!) And a man. Who is trying to cook an Unfezant. That's... the entire plot. The whole thing. Though the woman is also secretly romancing the man in real life! ...And on... the Unfezant tip line. That feels like a blatant violation of phone line policy, but what do I know! The Unfezant Guy feels betrayed by this until The Unfezant Girl brings by a perfect Unfezant, and the day is saved. Hooray.

1.5/10. Who wrote this. Who approved this. Why is it about an arcdamn Unfezant Tip Line. How far down do you have to dig for this idea. Who in the writing room called in to figure out how to unfuck their completely dry, flavorless Unfezant, and thought "You know what would be romantic?" On the bright side, absolutely none of the actors take this movie seriously, thus warranting an extra .5 points. They earned it. Nothing else did. (//Mod note. Based on a real fucking Hallmark movie.)

Yes! @braparty art is so cute!! I especially love Ingo and Akari’s with expressions!

And I originally was gonna respond with something short but then this got so far away from me, so enjoy!

The first time Akari struck that pose beside Ingo had been at Mr. Dagero’s photo studio.

Ingo has had a appreciation for photography from the moment he had learned of the little shops opening. The warden started stopping by every so often to get a new photo of his Pokémon and their new evolutions. Then, as he made friends with those in the security corps he would politely request that they stand for a photo, which they were happy to do so. (Zisu even hung the photo of them all together in her office at the dojo.) Ingo would gather these keepsakes in a small book that he’d keep in his pocket at all times. For him, having a physical image of past events and friends gave him a sense of security, as they were much less ephemeral than his own memory.

Then came the morning that he encountered miss Akari at the studio. He requested she do him the honor of posing with him for a photo and she was happy to do so. It turned out she had developed her own fondness for photography for the same reasons he had.

Of the many photos they had taken that day, the one that stood out the most to him had been the one where Akari had mimicked him. In the photo itself she had also copied his frown but when she had asked him if she was doing the pose right she had the biggest grin. He couldn’t understand the weird mix of emotions he felt at seeming this person who he cares so much for copying his pose. He knew it had an important meaning to him in his life before Hisui, and to see someone else doing it along side him… it meant something.

Much later, after discovering Ingos lost Arc- transceiver and being tasked to collect dozens of Hisuis regional Pokemon, Akari and Ingo find themselves traversing the Coronet highlands in the pouring rain to track down a reported flock of Rowlets.

They’re forced to take to a long winding route through the mountains as the rain makes climbing to slippery for Ingo, and Lady Sneasler is currently unavailable to aid them. Akari is excited to learn the reason is that noble is expecting a clutch of eggs and has spent the week nesting in her den in preparation. But, as happy as that news is, Akari can tell that Ingo seems almost sad when he tells her about it. It takes her a moment to realize the reason. At the rate they currently are catching Pokémon, by the time the eggs hatch Ingo and Akari will have long returned to their home beyond space and time, never to see Sneasler and her babies again.

Akari is at a loss for words for what to say. Ingo stays stone faced as always, moving forward in the rain. Akari hurries after only for Ingo to suddenly stop and throw his arm our in front of her to halt her advance. She realizes something must be blocking the path up ahead and goes silent. Nodding to each other, under the cover of the storm, Akari creeps forward to get a look at what Ingo saw.

There, standing side by side in the center of the road, are the bandit sisters Clover and Coin. Clearly they were planing on ganging up on and robbing any travelers who unfortunate enough to cross their path. And yet Akari can only grin as she turns back to Ingo. She suggest they both take on the bandits together, with her Typhlosion, Dusk, vs Clovers Abomasnow, and his Gliscor vs Coins Toxicroak! Whoever makes their opponent drop first wins!

The thought of a double battle starts to bring back Ingo’s energy. In all his time in Hisui he had yet to experience one and yet the idea feels so familiar. Akari’s excitement is infections and she’s so happy to see how Ingo’s eye have lit up at her suggestion.

The two confront the bandits and, on a pure whim, Akari follows Ingo’s lead and mirrors his pose as he orders the sisters to stand clear of the tracks or risk their safety. The sheer volume of the command gives away his enthusiasm and joy of the moment. The battle may be a short one but it’s a battle none the less, and to have someone he cares for grinning by his side and pointing with him as he declares their challenge feels so familiar. He knows he’s done this before, in his life before Hisui.

The sisters try to stand their ground and intimidate the two but they’re partners are at a severe disadvantage. Ingo’s Gliscor moves first and KO’s Toxicroak in one shot, while Dusks makes short work of Abomasnow. The bandits are pissed and promise their revenge before vanishing in a puff of smoke.

After gathering their rewards Ingo and Akari spend the rest of the trek to the Rowlet outbrake theorizing potential combos and duo match ups of double battles. Both are so excited at unlocking the memory of the existence of the battle method. They agree they they’ll need to start offering this battle style at the training grounds once they get back! If only so they can have trainers to battle.

By the time they reach the future and are challenged by modern trainers to double battles, Ingo and Akari have become a formidable duo! They have a good read on each other and can usually predict the other next move. Akari still mirrors Ingo’s pose every time they battle together because she can see the way he lights up when she does and also they look so cool.

Someone of course captures a picture and post it online, and tags #LikeFatherLikeDaughter and #SubwayBossJr starts trending. Emmet has allot of mixed feelings when he sees the pose of them together.

Hi there! My friends are making Pokeblogs so I thought I would make one too! But this isn't your average Pokeblog, instead it's from my crossover extravaganza from hell! Here's what you need to know:

Ren Amamiya/Joker (Persona 5), Elena Amamiya (Star Twinkle Precure), and Hibiya Amamiya (Kagerou Project) are cousins and have been isekaied into various worlds that I love. Meanwhile, their friends have been trapped in a time loop that resets two weeks after the Amamiyas end their adventure in whatever world they've become isekaied in. Luckily, the Amamiyas have their phones and csn communicate with their friends back in their world, as well as friends from the previous worlds they've visited!

Random Video Game Themed Question Prompts - Part 2

Part 2 of this little video game prompt thing! I thought this one would be easier because it's actually all Pokemon themed! But they asked a lot of questions I just don't know cause I haven't played all the games lol. But regardless, this was very fun! And I'm having a bit of Poke Mania after beating Platinum!

Part 1

1 - Favorite Pokemon

My favorite Pokemon for ages now is Charizard. I know it's a basic pick but think about for a bit and it makes total sense. Dragon. Fire. Salamander theme. Green elements. It's kind of tailor made for me. Not to mention Firered was my first game, and Charmander my first Pokemon! Also, I love him in Smash Bros. ALSO YEAH I LIKE POPULAR THINGS OKAY THAT'S WHY THEY'RE POPULAR-

2 - Favorite Game

Personally I am still really biased to Pokemon Firered. It's my first, so I have a lot of really good memories with it. I love the GBA, I love the sprites and music. And it's just a deeply important game to me. Though I do think SoulSilver is better in pretty much every way, I just have too much love for Firered. But if we're not counting spinoffs currently Emerald is my favorite!

3 - Favorite Spinoff

This one is easy, it's Pokemon Snap. Both games are seriously some of my favorite video games of all time. And it's the closest we'll ever get to a Pokemon Shmup/On-Rails Shooter. I also just love taking pictures in video games and I love seeing Pokemon in their natural environments, so it's pretty much tailor made for me. A close runner up would be Pokken but the only reason it's not number 1 is cause 3D Fighting Games are harder than 2D ones lol.

4 - Favorite Legendary

It's Mewtwo, let's not beat around the bush on this one, it's Mewtwo. He's one of my favorite characters ever, one of my favorite Smash Bros. characters, the star of one of my favorite movies, he's bad ass. I just really love Mewtwo. But some of my other favorites are Lugia, Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza, and Kyreum!

5 - Favorite Mega

I'm sorry all these answers are so predictable It's the Mega Charizards. With a preference for X, but they both RULE. I actually love a LOT of Mega Evolutions though. Some of my other favorites are Gengar, Aerodactyle, Gardevoir, Mawille, Aagron, Banette, Garchomp, Abomasnow, Steelix, Lopunny, and Audino!

As for Gigantimax... Eeeeeh I think these are kinda stupid looking for the most part, apologies. Alcremie kinda clears though in my opinion. Coalossal, Appletun, Durraludon, the Kanto starters are ok though.

6 - Favorite Regional Variant

Honestly, really looking at it. I'm not sure which is my definitive favorite but DAMN Galarian Linoone is just PERFECT. It's better than actual Linoone imo and I think I like it more than Obstagoon too honestly. I also like Alolan Golem, Galarian Corsola, Alolan Muk, Hisuian Zoroark and Hisuin Goodra. This is still one of the best concepts introduced into Pokemon, btw.

7 - Favorite Starter

It's Charmander. Sorry guys it's just the coolest and evolves into my favorite starter. But since that's such a predictable answer at this point I'll do you one better and list my favorite Starter from each region (I pick my favorites based on their final forms lol): Charmander, Totodile, Mudkip, Turtwig, Snivy?, Fennekin, Popplio, Grookey, Sprigatito.

Also I think Kanto, Jhoto, and Kalos have the strongest set of final stage starter Pokemon! Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr in particular are 3 of my all time favorites.

8 - Favorite Region

In terms of Pokedex? It's between Kanto, Jhoto, Unova, and maybe Kalos? In terms of games? Kanto, Jhoto, Hoenn? In terms of where I'd want to live? While I haven't played them all it's between Kanto and Hoenn I think.

9 - Favorite Pseudo Legendary

NOW THIS IS A TOUGH ONE! Lately the Pseudo Legendaries have genuinely become some of my favorite Pokemon from each region. Of course, right? They're all dragons lol. Goodra is probably the winner because I love slime and dragons. But some REALLY close runner ups are Tyranitar, Garchomp, and Dragapult.

While some are certainly stronger in terms of design and concept than others, I like them all though. The only one I'm eh on is Baxcalibur and even then I see the idea and I think some small design tweaks would really fix it for me.

Also random side note, but if they removed all the Pokemon currently in Smash and had to replace all of them with new ones. While I'd cry over Charizard and Mewtwo leaving... Just replace them all with all the Pseudo Legendaries. In fact, the Pseudo Legendary from each region would be a shoe in for each smash game if I was in charge!

10 - Favorite Mythrical

Darkrai. Next question.

Okay but seriously, I ADORE Darkrai. For a lot of similar reasons to Mewtwo. Bad ass design, cool concept, and their movie is one of my favorites. You guys know I love edgy badboys with hearts of gold and tragic backstories. Darkrai's movie is seriously one of my favorites and one of the only ones I've rewatched.

For runner ups? I didn't realize Genesect is Mythical? I LOVE Genesect. Also had a great movie. Also Meloetta is hot dude

11 - Favorite Rival

I've only played the first 4 games but personally I think I have to give it up to Blue. I think he's a lot cooler and more interesting than people remember. I feel like he gets remembered as a mean guy, but actually I feel like he's playfully a rival with you. Because he actually helps you a LOT during the game. But then as the game goes you progressively see him get more and more obsessed with power. And then finding out he's already the champion and having to tear him down is REALLY cool. I think it's one of the best parts of RBY.

Personally I haven't been super thrilled with the friendly rivals but I did think Wally was a neat idea where he starts out as a sick kid but genuinely gets pretty good. But it is messed up that you have to tear him down too lol. Just looking at the designs I like Bianca, N, Hubert, Shauna (though I remember her being annoying), Gladion, Marnie, and dude Klara is so fucking hot dude

12 - Favorite Professor

From the games I've played, Oak has kind of been the most interesting one no contest. But I do LOVE the designs of Juniper, Sonia, and Sada cause they're so hot dude

Although I kind of get the vibe that Kukui is gonna be my favorite by the time I get there.

13 - Favorite Elite 4 / Gym Leader / Champion

TOUGH QUESTION! I don't want this spoiled so I'm gonna only look at the ones I've beaten. Starting with Elite 4: It's probably Lance. He's really cool. Though Karen is absolutely up there. And I also like Lorelei, Phoebe, Drake, and Bertha. Also seeing Koga get upgraded between 2 games was cool.

Gym Leader: It's probably between Claire and Flannery? Dragon types obviously but also slightly older mean girls/tomboys. You know how it is. Erika is cute, Janine being Koga's daughter is cool, Giovanni was a cool concept, Whitney, Jasmine, Morty maybe, Roxanne, Norman is a great concept, Gardenia, Crasher Wake, Candice. Volkner has a cool design.

Champion: Again, probably Blue. I think it's the best built up for sure. And while seeing Lance get upgraded was cool, it's just Lance no offense. Steven could've been an ALL TIMER but Emerald kinda dropped the ball with that sadly. So, if not Blue. It's Cynthia. I'm sorry for being so thirsty on this post but she's SO hot and so cool and has such good taste in Pokemon.

14 - Favorite Villain Team

I think Team Rocket is neat but they're a little basic. But they're done pretty good in the first game and I think it's cool that they're a little more grounded than the rest. And Galactic is pretty crazy but I feel like the whole team isn't that cool as much as they're like, insane.

I probably have to go between Magma and Aqua. And while Aqua are pirates so objectively they're cooler. I think Magma's grunt designs are my personal favorite grunts so far. I genuinely want their evil hoodies with horns on them. And they love Groudon whose the coolest of the trio from Hoenn.

15 - Favorite Character

It's between Mewtwo and Darkrai. Again, they're both deeply important characters to me and both star in some of my favorite movies. But ultimately I do have to give it up to Mewtwo for being an edgy badboy made in a lab, his movie is also just really really good and I love him in Smash Bros and the Birth of Mewtwo and he's just so cool. I love Mewtwo. Darkrai runner-up

16 - Favorite Route/Town/City

I hate to say it but I don't really remember a lot of them off the top of my head. ATM I'm obsessed with Route 209's night theme from Platinum though lol. Going soley off of memory I would probably want to live in a place a little busy but not TOO crazy crowded. Maybe I'd like something like a beach town in Hoenn? Sunnyshore in Sinnoh was also a neat idea.

17 - Favorite Soundtrack

Ooof, tough question. I am certainly the most nostalgic for Firered personally. But I think from my playthroughs so far, a lot of Platinum songs really stuck out and stuck with me. 209, vs Galactic, the Celestic town guitar strumming theme lol. I also feel like I'm gonna REALLY like Black/White's ost cause from what little I played a lot of those songs stuck out to me. But yeah, I might have to give it up to FireRed personally. With my favorite song from it being Vs Champion Rival.

18 - Least Favorite Pokemon

SO... I hate to be a hater. But lately there have been some serious stinkers. However, I have 3 main "least favorite Pokemon". Number 1! Intelleon. Stupid design. Stupid motif. Never seen fanart that made it into a hot girl. How does it go from emo to 007? Huh? Wha? Stupid.

NUMBER 2! Calyrex. Stupid design. Looks stupid on the horses. Looks stupid off the horses. Drags down the cool horse designs. It's the best you could do for a KING pokemon? Seriously? I hate it.

NUMBER 3!! The worst of the worst: Quaquaval. No joke the only Pokemon to dethrone Intelleon to me. I HATE this Pokemon. I get the theme. I see the vision. But it's SO stupid looking. Again I don't want to be a hater, I know people like it. But it's design STINKS dude. I just hate it. Idk.

19 - Favorite Battle

My favorite battle COULD'VE been when you team up with Rayquaza to fight Groudon and Kyogre. But sadly that's only in my fanfic.

There's some really good ones. I love teaming up with Steven to fight the Magma admins. I liked fighting Giratina a lot, I thought that was cool and a nice surprise. I liked having Wally come back suddenly and be super strong at the end of victory road. But ultimately, again, I think I have to give it up to the RB Champion Blue fight. I know I keep saying it but it's so good and so well built up in my opinion. And unlike the friendly rivals, while I think Blue is friendlier than people believe. Watching him become more power hungry makes it feel good and like you have to cut him down when he starts getting out of line. Idk.

As for the Anime? I really like when Mewtwo fights Genesect and only beats him by giving him the overview effect lol. There's a lot of really good ones in the anime if I sat down and thought about it though.

20 - Favorite Type

It's Dragon Type, hands down. Dragons are cool, I love a lot of dragon types, and I LOVE the idea that ANYTHING can be a dragon, even a tree. It matches my love and philosophy of dragons a lot.

Outside of the obvious dragon pick. I like a lot of Fire types, Electric is one of my favorite powers but I'm not super married to a lot of Electric types, I'm always shocked by how many Water types I'm OBSESSED with considering I'm not crazy about Water powers. Ground, Poison, Dark, Bug, there's a lot of good types lol.

21 - Favorite Move

This is really tough. I love a lot of the big HM moves that make my runs super easy. Fly, Surf, Waterfall, ect ect. I love stuff like the elemental punches conceptually. I also like a lot of the dragon moves like Dragon Claw / Draco Meteor conceptually. But I think my all timer is Blast Burn! Again... Charizard lol. I had it on my Charizard in FireRed as a kid.

22 - Favorite Ability

I'm gonna be real with you... I don't know about any of those dang "abilities". But I do always like ones that up the type of the Pokemon. And I'm sure there's some really unique ones if I ever felt like reading through them all. Maybe I'll come back and update this one later. For now, let's go with Dragon's Maw cause it's a dragon theme.

23 - Favorite Item

The only items I really focus on are the held items. I really like, similar to abilities, ones that make certain type moves stronger. I use those a LOT during my playthroughs. I also pretty consistently get Quick Claw and make use of that, I think conceptually that and Dragon Claw are cool. I think King's rock conceptually is cool. As for Pokeballs I thin Ultraball looks cool, Net Ball, Heavy Ball, Dusk Ball... I never use them but they look cool lol. For battle items... uuuuuuh... Max Revive... idk.

24 - Favorite Z-Move / Max Move

I haven't gotten to Sun/Moon yet so idk what these even look like. I watched them all before but fuck me if I can remember them lmao. Just from skimming through: Splintered Stormshards, Pulverizing Pancake, Genesis Supernova, Bloom Doom (reminds me of The End FF8), Savage Spinout, Neverending Nightmare, Devastating Drake, Corkscrew Crash, Black Hole Eclipse, Tectonic Rage are all cool...

I actually think Tectonic Rage might be the best cause I was NOT expecting that shit lmao. Maybe that and Black Hole Eclipse!

25 - Favorite Shiny

Another good question! Off the top of my head I'd probably have to give it up to Charizard, cause edgy black Charizard is just SOOOO bad ass, but I can take a look through the Shiny Dex real quick and pick some other favorites: Nidoking, Golbat, Venomoth, Muk, Kingler, Weezing, Dragonite, Mewtwo, Mew, Yanma, Umbreon, Shuckle, Heracross, Tyranitar, Sceptile, Swampert, Gardevoir, Altaria, Relicanth, Metagross, Rayquaza, Lopunny, Bronzong, Garchomp, Giratina, Gigalith, Crustle, Haxorus, Druddigon, Braviary, Mega Gengar, Tyrantrum, Salazzle, Pyukumuku, Naganandel, Hisuian Sneasel, Hisuian Zoroark, Appletun, Veluza, Sandy Shocks, Iron Thorns, Hydrapple

That's a lot and I still think I missed some lol. But some of these I'd never seen before and actually gasped when I realized how good their shinies are. Like Haxorus, Salazzle, and Appletun whose shiny I now PREFER over the regular one lol

I may have gone left field when I started writing..lol hopefully I did @nc-eikin’s Battle Assistant!Reader justice. I did ask permission first of course <3 It’s just a cute little blurb on how I think they first met! Soooo enjoy! <33

Pairing: Emmet X Reader

“Do you remember how we met?”

Emmet watched bored at the cute secretary fussing over Ingo. The sugar cookie in his hand started to slowly crumble with how much he’s pressing into it with his fingers.

Emmet bit the head off the sugar cookie and gnashed his teeth as he chewed. Like the cookie was the reason the green eyed monster started rearing its ugly head.

“Ingo! Your tie is crooked..how unlike you~” She grinned, smoothing down the tie like she didn’t just pull Ingo into the closet for a quick romp. “Can’t have you meeting the new recruits all sloppy”

Ingo coughed into his hand, a blush spread across his cheeks and down his neck. No one would’ve guessed that dark, stoic, mysterious Ingo was such a simp for his secretary. Emmet can tell how his older brother practically melts against her gentle hands.

“Are you coming Emm? We mustn't be late” Ingo chided, opening the door for his partner.

“I am Emmet and I’ll be out in a few minutes” He dusted off his crumb coated front before wrapping up the rest of the cookies and placing them back in the tin. It was nice of their parents to send in some Christmas cookies before they went off on their holiday.

Gear Station has a direct line to Castelia City’s ferry docks and their parents managed to book tickets to Alola for their holiday.

Emmet sighed, fixing his cap. It’ll be the first time that he and Ingo wouldn’t be home for the holidays and the first time since–he shuddred, letting out a soft scoff. What an infuriating–! That’s the last time Emmet listens to Elesa about the dry spell he’s been having lately. He’s getting bored of the hook ups. Especially the ones that will not follow the rules.

The boss opened the door before stepping out. He almost cringes at the bright Christmas lights that the depot agents (plus Ingo! What a sap) insisted they put up for the festive season.

Like the oversized christmas tree in the middle of the station wasn’t enough. (Someone decided to place chibi versions of the subway bosses as christmas toppers, how they managed to get the sold out merchandize from the pokemon center is beyond them, Emmet suspects Depot Agent Jackie)

The station was dressed up with the works. Multicoloured fairy lights decorated the ceiling, light up standees of oversized presents and abomasnows in christmas garb in some corners, fake snow inside the station scattered across the floor and a delibird perched up above the ticket counters like some kind of elf on the shelf and an actual delibird waddling around the place and giving small gifts to little children that happens to catch them flapping by.

That’s got to be a violation somehow but seeing Iggy’s skitty smile at the children’s happy faces makes Emmet decide it isn’t worth the trouble of upsetting his soft hearted brother.

Speaking of which

Emmet opened the files he was holding as he briskly walked towards platform 9 ¾ to greet the new holiday recruits. None seem to stand out as he expected. They usually hire contractual workers when it comes to the holidays to help out during the inevitable hectic rush hour. He eyes a cozy looking couple waiting for their train to arrive.

He sighed, a pang of loneliness striking his chest as his eyes slid back down to his papers. Ingo has his secretary…Elesa has Skyla while he has nad-

“Ah!”

A body crashed into him from behind, a delibird squawking away from the crash. Emmet grabbed the files before it could make a mess.

A green depot cap clattered softly against the floor as the boss managed to quickly grab the offender by the arm so they both wouldn't come tumbling down.

Emmet was always thankful he towers over everyone else. It makes him feel powerful and big and important but right now..

Gloved hands gripped his arm tight to keep themselves from completely falling to the floor. Hair sprawled in some sort of messy halo that Emmet swore later on it was made that way to enthrall him.

“Ow…”

A new face looked up from below him, eyes slowly opening to see who stopped their fall. Emmet had his legs bent to brace the impact, the person below him was inches above ground, his arm and their leg the only thing keeping them afloat.

“So strong..”

The both of you stood there frozen for a second, a zing sparking in your eyes before Emmet slowly pulled you back on your feet.

Time seemed to slow down as the both of you got your bearings, awestruck looks never leaving the other.

“I am Emmet..you shouldn’t run through the platforms..follow the rules! Safe driving! Mhm!”

You bit your lip, cheeks dusting pinkish at being reprimanded by the Subway Boss Emmet. Doesn’t help that the only reason you got this job was-

“I-I’m sorry Sir…I was late..the holiday traffic and then a delibird-!” You’re so flustered that you can barely form a complete sentence without sounding like you’re just making excuses. Nevermind that your roommate accidentally killed your alarm clock the night before and your phone having a too quiet alarm-

Emmet’s smile turned soft at how flustered this little one seemed to be. He didn’t even mind that she was a little late to their line up. Hell they were late as well due to some…delays. He should probably tell Iggy about the lipstick mark on his collar soon.

“-and then I tripped and crashed into you! I’m so sorry Boss Emmet!” You doubt covering your face would do anything but you heard a chuckle before a hand came down to gently place the uniform’s cap on your head.

“It is alright..! I am Emmet and let me escort you to where the others are..it seems our tracks were derailed slightly” Silver irises followed your every move as he offered his elbow for you to hold on to.

“All aboard! Let us depart to our station!”

This is probably inappropriate…it’s not like anything will come out of this right? You gripped his arm, a bit shy as you peeked from under your cap before looking down again. Ever present smile in place as he led you to the line up across the room. You like to believe that the lingering touch as you both separated, him to the front and you with the rest, was his way of not wanting to let go just yet.

“Wishful thinking..”

If you had paid any attention…you would have noticed that Emmet’s gaze never left yours.

“I am Emmet…how can I forget?”

How do the abilities that summon the weather work (Drizzle, Drought, Sand Stream, and Snow Warning)? I understand that Groudon and Kyogre are known for controlling the weather, but how are other Pokémon like Politoed, Ninetails, Hippowdon, and Abomasnow able to do it?

Oh this is pretty cool actually!

So while some pokemon have such a huge power presence that they can control the atmosphere around them, some pokemon have artificial ways of doing this.

For example:

Politoed and most water types will shoot a condensed ball of water in the sky, temporarily making it rain to increase the power of their moves. While some can actually change the atmosphere by dancing and moving water in the air. (Don't ask me how it works, I'm not a meteorologist, I'm just a ranger)

Ninetails and similar fire types using sunny day might use a condensed ball of heat similar to a gas ball to evaporate the nearby clouds and make artifical heat.

Hippowdon and other ground types and simply shoot sand from and off of their body or vibrate the ground and sand so quickly and powerfully that it makes a sandstorm. It's pretty simple actually. Some might just kick up a ton of sand and then spin, making a small cyclone.

And Abomasnow with their hail is similar to rain dance but ice, they have a compressed ball of ice and air, and when it reaches a high enough altitude it will explode, rain hail and temporarily change the atmosphere.

A lot of pokemon simply adapt or mimic the power of pokemon they deem powerful, and some are incredibly creative at it.

I ran out of room lol and I barely made it halfway through one part

Continuing from where I left off

Palafin bc Zero to Hero is Percy's story, and then I chose pokemon with swords kinda and then those which are kinda derpy

Next is Northshore City with the Fairy-Type Leader, Regina George

Her Daddy paid the Pokemon League to have his daughter be the leader

Chandler sees so much of her old self in Regina and knows that she doesn't want to be like that anymore, but its hard to resist it

Her puzzle is to throw a party, because even Pokemon trainers need to have fun sometimes

She actually giggles with delight when she heard this, it beats sitting in the woods by a long shot

She starts to get back into her old habits while planning, bossing around Duke and Mac and being abrasive, even to her own Pokemon which she just swore to be nicer too

Veronica is the one who calls her out on her bullshit and she realizes that she's reverted back into her old self

She apologizes profusely to everyone and throws a party instead for her friends and pokemon, who have helped her and stayed by her side even when she was being a total bitch

She even baked a cake from scratch, which was the first time she ever actually made something for anyone

Regina wanted to fail her (cause like wheres the booze, and who tf likes corn nuts) but the League Officials think its cute so she's forced to pass

Regina's Team: Grimmsnarl, Aromatisse, Shiinotic, Mega Mawile, Clefable, Granbull

I really tried to pick out the most mean looking fairy types, but cmon its the fairy type its mean to be all girly and cute

Next is Arendelle City with the first Double Gym Leaders, being the Fire-Type Leader Anna and the Ice-Type Leader Elsa

Again not really a musical but I like the broadway adaptation so idc

They're sisters, separated when they were young because of an accident involving Elsa's Alolan Vulpix

Elsa became afraid of pokemon for a while because of what they did to her sister, the person she cares most about, but her parents wanted her to become a gym leader, because unlike other towns the Arendelle Gym Leader position is hereditary

So she was forced to face her fears day after day while her parents did nothing to soothe her or reassure her

Eventually they died (not fast enough in Anna's opinion, who was forced to see her sister go through her worst nightmare every day and who was ignored for the most part, on top of not being allowed to see her)

When it came time for her to take the position Elsa ran away only for Anna to chase after her and have a heart to heart

Eventually with her help Elsa was able to let go of her fear and her and Anna took joint custody of the position

(Yeah Ik its similar to Lillie from the anime, no I will not be taking criticism at this time)

Their puzzle is to do an act of True Love, because you need to take care of those that you care about, be they your family, partner(s) or Pokemon

Chandler decides its now or never to invite Veronica into the polycule

With the other Heathers and Gym Leader's help she sets up a date for Veronica under the disguise of it being her gym puzzle

They do everything she loves, they go bookshopping, seeing the sights of Arendelle, visiting Museums and talking to the historians (this makes Chandler want to bang her head against the wall but she perseveres) and eventually she asks Veronica to join

Obviously she says yes bc the Heathers have really shown they're not the bitches she remembers from high school, they've changed and she wants to spend the rest of her life with them blah blah romance

Anna's Team: Arcanine, Talonflame, Coalossal, Mega Blaziken, Salazzle, Ninetales

Elsa's Team: Cryogonal, Froslass, Aurorus, Mega Abomasnow, Baxcalibur, Alolan Ninetales

Most people think this gym is easy bc Anna's fire pokemon set up the sun which will allow them to easily take Elsa out and focus on her but they've developed a strategy where only one half of the field is covered in sun and the other in snow, making any unprepared challenger's strategy fall apart

For their teams, I just picked whatever really lol, besides the Ninetales, I think each of them having one is a cool idea

Finally, they reach Shiz City, home of the final leaders, The Psychic-Type Leader Glinda Upland and the Flying-Type Leader Elphaba Thropp

They're just good friends *wink wink*

Glinda was groomed by "The Wizard", a member of the E4 (Yes they are all manipulative scumbags) into being his representative in the Gym Leader circuit, similar to Jeremy and the SQUIP

Elphaba saw right through this and stopped it dead in its tracks and then they did the kiss

#Gelphie it should have been canon

'The Wizard' is trying to have them removed and has started a smear campaign against Elphaba, making accusations based on her skin (still green) and trying to get back into Glinda's good graces

Their puzzle is to do something good, because generosity is the most important aspect of being a member of society

Chandler struggles for a while trying to think of something she can do

She really wants to make up for her past mistakes, and with Veronica's urging she decided to make up with Martha on behalf of the Heathers and the rest of the student body

Martha is of course, furious and refuses her apology and any number of gifts

Her and Veronica have made up by this point but they're still on thin ice and won't listen when she tries to tell her how they've changed, and it doesn't help that she's started to date the people who used to bully her

Eventually Chandler gives up and says that she doesn't care what Martha thinks, and that she has changed and has made efforts to be a better person and as for Veronica, she finally tells her what actually happened they day they met and the fact that Veronica, who at that point Martha knew hated the Heathers, put herself into harm's way for them, makes her come more in line with Veronica's line of thinking that everyone still has some good in them and she is willing to hear her out

Things aren't great between them still but Martha no longer actively despises them, its a start

Glinda's Team: Hatterene, Xatu, Gothitelle, Mega Gardevoir, Starmie, Delphox

Elphaba's Team: Staraptor, Drifblim, Corviknight, Mega Salamance, Mandibuzz, Crobat

For Glinda I tried to pick out the most witchy, magicky kinda Psychic Types

For Elphaba, the only ones I really put too much though into were Salamance, bc it used to be this Bagon who wanted more than anything to fly kinda like Defying Gravity and Crobat bc its a friendship evo and I would imagine Elphaba is the type to be really loyal and trustworthy with her pokemon

So at this point the plot kicks in and the E4 and Champion, who surprise is Big Bud Dean, head of Team Rocket launch their plan

They use BBD's demolition company front (his 3rd job after being Champion and Team Rocket leader, don't think about it too hard) to try and bomb out land to search for the resting place of legendary pokemon to use to get power

They succeed in finding some and its up to the gang to take them out

Elite 4:

'The Wizard' - Rock Type; Glimmora, Drednaw, Kleavor, Mega Aggron, Gigalith, Terrakion (All of these are shiny besides Terrakion, bc theyre all green shinies, Emerald City)

'The SQUIP' - Poison Type; Seviper, Toxtricity-HK, Revaroom, Mega Venasaur, Sneasler, Pecharunt (Pecharunt is literally the SQUIP, it uses something you injest to take control of you and make it do your will)

Aaron Burr - Dark Type; Umbreon, Zoroark, Hydreigon, Mega Gyarados, Kingambit, Darkrai (Umbreon is a stalling pokemon and Kingmabit is best when used last, like Burr's philosophy of waiting for it, and Hydreigon and Gyarados represent the rage built up in him)

Luke Castellan - Fighting Type; Falinks, Toxicroak, Heracross, Mega Gallade, Sirfetch'd, Marshadow (All kinda have swords)

Alec x Zoey Emberwing

Hisuian Snow and flame

A Commission for @anaoryx

Zoey was one of the best in the Galaxy Team, being one of the only people to command those terrifying beasts, even having one of her own. However, she was already on another excursion at the time. Cyllene didn't know when the red-haired outsider would be back, and the civilian seemed persistent in wanting to explore the area where the land and everything around it seemed to twist and distort. However, like Zoey, the young man did not take no for an answer. Not even as the elders of the village scolded his stupidity for even caring about the livelihood of Pokemon right in front of her eyes, Alec was going to go anyway, whether Galaxy or the rest of the villagers liked it or not.

Alec was just like Zoey; he had a strange affinity for these beasts, like when he held the little bird Pokemon in its arms and now courageously and yet also stupidly walked up to the two massive Abomasnow as the snow titans glared down at him. He understood these Pokemon on a level that even the Galaxy Team, who swore to protect its people and figure out the mysteries of Pokemon, did not understand.

He was mesmerized remembering when he first saw her rushing into battle to help the Snovers' parents. Standing beside her was a Pokemon he had never seen before. With its striped tail and its wings shaped like diamonds, it was fast and ferocious. But then, here it was, gently playing with the rufflet and the village children.

Zoey had noticed Alec's eyes on her. As they both help Pesselle tend to the Injured Snover. "amazing, aren't they?" Zoe asked, her question catching him off guard; he hadn't even noticed that he was staring as his eyes immediately darted away from the red-haired trainer. Flustered, he stumbles over his words as he responds to her, "Uh, What?" Zoey is playing with Snover's hands "Pokemon." Alec smiles, his hand gently petting the other Snover as he remembers the Zoroark, that same Zorua he saved all those years ago. "Yeah, they are, aren't they."

However, his attention started to drift back to the redhead girl once again, not just her but her partner, the big green Pokemon that was now begging for her attention. "I've never seen anything like it," Alec said as Zoe scratched underneath her flygon's chin. "This is Flygon, my partner." Flygon purred in delight, its tail thumping against the ground as the rufflet and children still tried to play with it. Flygon wanted more; its eyes met Alec's as it leaned its head in closer. Alec froze up. Zoey chuckled at his reaction. "It's ok; Flygon is friendly. They want pets." Alec carefully brought his hand upon the dragon Pokemon's head skin, which felt different than any Pokemon he had held or touched. Instead of fluffy fur or feathers, Flygon was smooth and scaly.

Galaxy team's mission was to not only protect the people of Jubilife Village but also understand and survey the land and its Pokemon.

Alec knew he was an outsider of the village; it was apparent how the older residents looked at him in disdain and disapproval and when they would try to close the gates, locking him outside even when he had an injured Pokemon in his arms. He was relieved that he wasn't the only one fascinated with Pokemon.

He was just visiting Hisui to see a friend and visit his father. However, he couldn't stop thinking about that day as he lay in his futon staring up at the ceiling of his father's home, the memories of yesterday going through his mind. The Snover, his encounter with his old friend and that Team Galaxy member, the one with the Flygon who wrote on its back into battle. Together, they drove back the alpha Pokemon before being saved by Zoroark. Zoey shared his interest in Pokemon, and he could see why Flygon liked her so much. Alec sighed. He knew he wouldn't get any sleep, so he turned in his bed to see the empty Pokeball that Zoey gave him sitting on the floor, lying against his Zoroark mask.

Alec got up from his bed took his mask and that empty Pokeball; walking down to the Village, he wasn't surprised to see the gates closed, but he saw familiar bright red hair and that flygon. Zoey turned to see Alec, her jade-green eyes sparkling in the Moonlight. His face grew hot as he could not stay on hers, his eyes moving to the floor. "Hey, what are you doing at this hour?" Zoey asked, "Pokemon do get more dangerous at night."

" I could say the same to you," Alec said. Zoey looks nervous. "I'm Team Galaxy. It's my job to survey the land whether day, night, or shine." She wasn't technically lying, but it didn't look like she was out doing her job. "Ah…no, I'm actually taking Flygon out for a night flight." Zoey continued while giving her Pokemon much-needed pets. "Flygon, despite being the cuddliest Pokemon in the world, is quite scary to a lot of the villagers, so it doesn't roam outside of its Pokeball as much as it used to."

Flygon, happy to see another face, immediately gets closer to Alec, gently head-butting his shoulder. Alec greets his new friend, chuckling and scratching him under the chin, something he saw his trainer doing yesterday. "Your Flygon is amazing," Alec said in a low tone. Zoey couldn't help but smile, reminiscing, "It is; they were my only friend when I appeared here."

Ready for their flight, Flygon returned to Zoey's side. She hopped on her partner's back, holding out her hand to Alec. " Looks like you got somewhere to be; I can take you there. Plus, Cyllene would kill us both and say she found out I let out to wander the wilderness alone." Alec felt Heat rushing to his face before slowly taking your hand. Zoey helped him on the back of her partner.

When Alec would watch the birds high in the sky, he never thought he would share that same experience. His eyes were wide, too mesmerized by the beautiful sight to realize he was holding a young woman's hips. The twinkling stars under the full moon Illuminated them as they slowly dived underneath the clouds. Flygon made sure to keep at a slow pace for their first-time flier.

When they landed in the alabaster icelands, they hopped off Flygon to walk on foot. Hopefully, Alec could see his friend at least one more time. Maybe Zoroark wasn't here, or maybe it didn't want to show itself. After hours of looking in the same place and deeper into the forest, they found nothing, even after finding the same abomasnow and Snover, that was extremely excited to see the same people who saved them again.

Zoey tried to cheer Alec up when they noticed another familiar face excitedly hopping toward them, that same Rufflet that desperately flew to the Village in hopes of seeking help. That bird Pokemon was so excited to see the both of them hopping up and down happily. Alec smiled, thanking Zoey for being his company and Thanks Flygon for the ride and giving his uneaten Berry that the Snover gave him to the friendly Rufflet. When the bird Pokemon noticed they were going to leave, it called out to them, running as fast as its little legs could carry it back to Alec, wrapping its wings around his leg. "I'm sorry, little guy, I can't stay." Rufflet jumped onto its shoulder, making himself comfortable. Zoey smiled and remarked, "I think he wants to go with you, Alec." His eyes widened in surprise, taking out the Pokeball in his pocket; the rufflet was not scared even as he gently tapped the rufflet's beak; the shaking of the ball frightened him as he dropped it into the snow.

The ball shook once, twice, and after its third time, steam came up from the top.

" Congratulations, Alec, you caught your first Pokemon!" That night, Alec did not see his old friend again, but he made a new one. He will always remember that day even though he had to leave. He would come back not too long after his first visit. He was excited to see Zoey again. For some reason, he was the most excited to see her. His heart fluttered when Zoey wrapped her arms around him, happy to see him again. This time, he was planning to stay permanently, and his father was delighted; he would see his son more often; brought Alec's things into his home.

Zoey and Alec side by side, with Rufflet on his shoulder and Flygon at her side, walked through the double doors of the team Galaxy building. And Cyllene was happy to have a newcomer to join the ranks.
