All Around Me
Void Stiles x Fem Reader
Summary: After having a bit too much fun at a friend's birthday party, you go home and wind down with a bath and a Teen Wolf marathon. You start reading a steamy fanfic about Void Stiles, which causes you to have an acid-induced trip about hooking up with him.
Word Count: 2.5k+
(!This is a smut fanfic, proceed with caution!)
<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
It took you a couple of times to put the key in the door but you got there eventually. You were coming home from your friend’s birthday. It was almost 3am and you were cross-faded, starving and your heels were killing your feet. After dropping your purse on the kitchen island you started drunkenly wrestling the heels off your feet. The fridge was your next stop, pulling out leftover whatever and sticking it in the microwave. As you waited you pulled your food out of the microwave and headed to your bedroom. It was kind of nice having the entire house to yourself. Your parents were gone, visiting your aunt who’d just given birth. You sat on your mother’s bed and started shoving the leftovers into your mouth. The nightstand starts vibrating, prompting you to check your phone.
Heyy, glad ur home safe <3 just reminding u we dropped acid like 30 mins before u ubered home just be careful! (we should have listened to Ashley when she said no more lmao)
You completely forgot about that, at first it made your heart drop but then you realized you would probably be asleep before the effects really kicked in. Your parent’s room was so luxurious and you always looked forward to stealing it when they left. The buzz from being drunk was still there but wasn’t as intense as before. You ran the warm water and started filling the bathtub, it was huge and made you feel so fancy. Bring your hand above the bath, you feel the steam coming off the water. The feeling of washing the makeup off your face was euphoric. It was like the hot water was loosening all your joints and muscles. You kept one of your hands dry to be able to hit your pen and change the music coming from the speaker. After enjoying the bath for a while, you got out and wrapped a towel around yourself. Out of nowhere, your heart starts racing. At first you thought it was from being in the steamy bathroom. You fought through it and did your nightly routine. By the time you made it to your room, you were rolling. You turned on Teen Wolf as background noise, the silence was starting to feel too heavy on your ears. You changed into a big tshirt but didn’t have much mental focus for anything else.
You looked at the T.V and watched Void Stiles take the screen. You began to cry thinking about how sad this part of the plot was. The tears were flooding and you were feeling high off emotion. You pulled out your phone and started to read Void Stiles fanfics. The combination of hearing him through the TV and reading about him was making you feel a combination of scared and excitement. You weren’t really sure if you fell asleep or dissociated but you scared yourself awake. Your eyes immediately flew to what looked like a figure standing in the doorway. It scared the shit out of you, making you jolt and sit up. Your chest was rising and falling at an alarming rate. Its head tilted to the side in an ominous way. Part of you thought you were still drunk and high and that you were hallucinating this appreciation. You threw one of the pillows at it and when the figure turned his head to look at where it landed you gasped and began crying.
“Why are you acting scared?” the man's voice asked. Your hand flew over your mouth and you brought your knees to your chest.
He began walking closer, slowly yet confidently. When he stepped closer, he stopped where the moonlight was coming in from the window. It was Void Stile, part of you felt relief because you figured this had to be a dream. Another part of you was even more freaked out because what the fuck is happening. His skin was pale and had dark red bags underneath his eyes. His hair was disheveled, sticking up and out in several ways. Wearing all black which made him look so much more intimidating. He was walking closer but still had his head tilted to the side. At this point, he was sitting at the foot of the bed, staring you down.
“I asked why are you acting so scared?” he asked again.
“Because you’re scaring me,” you choked out, barely having the ability to form words. It was like your entire body was submerged in ice water, paralyzing you and taking your breath away.
“Oh no, I know you don’t believe that. You were just reading about me. Imagining me doing unspeakable things to you. So again, why are you scared?” he asked again but in a rhetorical way. He stood up so fast that you flinched, he walked over to your desk and picked up the framed picture of your boyfriend.
“Is this your little boyfriend?” he asked while full-on laughing, you could reply verbally and instead shook your head yes.
“Why are you with him if he’s not satisfying you?” he asked.
“He can sat-” you were interrupted by Void grabbing you by the jaw, not painfully but forcefully.
“Why do you keep lying?” he growled.
“H-how would you know if..” you couldn’t even finish your sentence because you were full-on sobbing.
“Do you know what the four things the human brain naturally craves?” he asked. As you shook your head no, he brought his hands up and wiped the tears off your face with his thumb, then licked the tear off his finger.
“Food, water, sleep and sex. Somewhere in the deepest part of your mind, you’re craving sexual gratification that the little boys in your life clearly can’t give you. I mean, why else would you have manifested me? Searched for the most ravid and lascivious versions of me on the internet to gratify your needs? They’re scared to cross a line but that’s what’s different about them to me. I can’t be satisfied until I’ve crossed it,” he was now standing again, towering over you. He was so close that his torso almost touched your nose. You squinted your eyes and turn away without moving your body.
Your ears were burning and you were starting to feel faint. Part of you felt like you couldn’t hear everything he was saying because your heart was pounding so loudly in your ears. He walked over to your dresser, opened the second drawer and grabbed the unopened bottle of Everclear that you were saving for a party coming up. He then walked over to your purse and pulled out a joint, without missing a beat he then walked over to a pair of jeans on the ground and pulled out a lighter. The fact that he knew exactly where everything was truly shook you to your core. You were becoming paranoid, convinced that he could hear your thoughts. He came back on the bed and lit the joint, blowing the smoke right in your face.
“You need to relax, take a drag,” he said, extending his arm and offering the joint. You tried to speak, even though you weren’t quite sure what to say. It was like your mouth physically couldn’t let the words out. He angrily ripped the blanket off your body and threw it across the room with such force it made a thump sound when hitting the wall.
“Do you really want me to forcibly blow the smoke into your mouth? I wouldn’t be surprised but you can just ask,” he said mocking yet angrily. When you reached out to grab it your arms and hands were shaking so badly that you were struggling to get a hold of it.
“You know..” he started as he sat down and brought the joint to your lips because your hands were too shaky to do so for yourself, “your fear is different than other people, there’s a purity to it, almost like an innocence. So much so that  I can almost taste its sweetness on my tongue. The havoc and panic that is radiating off your body because part of you knows that I’ll have you but is so confused and scared by my presence,” he said, taking a swig out of the bottle.
He wedged himself between your back and the headboard of the bed. His legs were long, when they were bent his knees were significantly higher than yours. At this point you felt completely drained, still scared but it was like the adrenaline high was coming down a bit. You pulled at one of the strings on the ripped part of his jeans and took the joint from his hand. At this point, you were high enough to convince yourself this was some weird dream because you fell asleep crossfaded. You looked up at the T.V and saw void Stiles, in the scene when he stabbed Scott. You looked back so that you could face him, almost like you were checking if he was still there. His eyes were black, similar to how they looked on stuffed animals. The bags under his eyes were so red that they looked like they might hurt when touched. He was just staring at you, smirking with his head tilted. You leaned back and melded your back to his front, as you did this he slid his hands up your bare thighs. His lips were now pressed against the back of your ear, your pulse quickened when you felt his steady breathing against your skin. The hands on his skin were rough from biting at his nail beds. His breath was slow and steady, you tried to match his pace with his but couldn’t slow your heart rate down. He moved his hands to your arms, running his fingertips from your shoulders to your hands. That was when you realized you’d been subconsciously gripping the towel that you fell asleep in. Unexpectedly he grabbed your wrists and ripped them away from your body causing your towel to fall. At first, you tried to fight against his grip but then realized you didn’t really want to. You moved your hands up slowly until they were at the sides of his head. Running your fingers through his hair gently and cautiously. He let go of your wrists and moved his hands to the sides of your hips. He pulled you against him causing your bare ass to rub against his erection under his jeans. He pressed his lips against your shoulder and let out a groan. He swiftly slides out from behind you and props himself up with his shoulders on top of you. Now on your back, you used your feet trying to push his jeans off. He dropped his head a bit on your shoulder so hard it took your breath away. You gasped and squirmed in pain and in reaction Void pressed his hips into you, keeping you from squirming away.
“How are you ever gonna explain this to whatever the fuck this C stands for,” he said referring to the necklace you had around your neck. He tightens the grip on it and rips it off your neck, crushing it and letting the mangled piece of metal fall to the ground. This caused a change in the atmosphere, it was like the snap of the chain symbolized the breaking of your self-control. He sat up and pulled his pants and boxers down, they were barely past his thighs when you grabbed him by the shirt and dragged him to you. Connecting your lips for the first time, the kiss was more rough than sloppy. His shaft was now pressed against your clit, moving his hips back and forth against you as the kiss deepened. You moaned into his mouth and rocked your hips up to meet his bucks. He moves his elbows so that they are right next to your ears. His fingers running through your hair and gripping onto the strands tightly. He pulled his hips back and thrust himself into you, he moaned and dropped his forehead onto your shoulder. He kept himself still while you fully engulfed him in your heat. Continuously tightening and loosening the grip he had on the fists full of your hair. You were in pure pleasure, purposely tightening and loosening your walls, admiring the feeling of fullness. You knew he was into it because his head was still buried in your shoulder. His mouth open and his bottom lip pressed against your skin as he groaned and growled, a bit of saliva dripping onto your chest. Becoming impatient, you start trusting your hips upward. He jerks his head up so that you’re looking at each other face to face.
“Your eyes are so glossed over, enjoying yourself I see,” he growled as he began rocking his hips back and forth.
“Holy fucking shit,” you moaned out going to tilt your head back but being stopped by the grip he had on your hair.
“Oh no, I wanna see your face. I like watching the raw reactions you have to me,” he snarled as he sped up. Your core felt like it was on fire, burning in a way you’d never felt before. You raked your fingernails down his back, digging in as hard as you can. Instead of wincing like most guys did, he moaned while smirking slightly. He was pounding into you so hard that his hip bones were starting to pierce you with every thrust. The burning feeling inside your stomach was building to a level, your blood felt like fire in the best possible way as you began to cum.
“You have no idea how fucking good it feels to have you spasming around my cock,” he said swiving his hips in circles as he pressed himself as deep as he could into you,
“Fuck I can’t get any closer,” he said while bucking and cumming into you. He was grunting and moaning to your neck, catching his breath for a second or two before continuing. As he started his thrusts up again you started to feel how sensitive you were. After you both had orgasmed there was a slickness that allowed Void to move faster and deeper into you. He took one of your nipples into his mouth and circled his tongue around the peak before biting down.
“Void I’m- it feels so ahh- sensitive,” you said, running your fingers through his hair and bringing him closer but he pulled away so that he was sitting up on his knees. You moaned as he pulled his length out and started massaging your clit with his tip.
“Should I stop? I mean if you’re too sensitive then maybe I shouldn’t make you cum again. Maybe feeling my cock pulse inside you while your wall spasm around me will be too much for you,” he said repeatedly sticking his tip in and out of your slit. You reacted by wrapping your legs around his waist and trying to bring him closer to you which made him chuckle.
“Yeah that’s what I fucking thought,” he said dropping back on top of you and started furiously pounding away at you. You were yelping from pleasure after every thrust, pulling on his hair tightly. You were biting down on your lip so hard that you began to taste blood. When Void noticed, he grabbed you by the jaw and kissed you deeply while maintaining the same pace. Groaning and grunting into your mouth, you could tell he was getting close because his thrusts were becoming more sporadic and sloppy. You could no longer hold your second orgasm back and arched your back while practically screaming. Seeing you in complete ecstasy and submission caused Void to cum, the look in his eyes was feral and completely mesmerized you. It made you feel powerful to see him so tired and drained because of you. He pulled out and laid next to you, propping his head up with his elbow. A couple tears ran down your face simply because of how overstimulating the second orgasm was. He used his finger to wipe away the tears and gave you a kiss on each eyelid.
“I don’t want you to leave,” you whispered, already half asleep.
“Rest now,” and as quickly as he said it, your eyes shot open to your fully lit bedroom. The room looked completely undisturbed which caused you to shoot up. You ran over to your dresser and started throwing the underwear everywhere. When you pulled out the still-sealed bottle of Everclear, you knew it must have been a dream. You sat on your bed and took a minute to think about how real and vivid the entire ordeal felt. After grabbing your pen from your purse, you plop down on your bed to check your socials. As you bring the pen to your lips, it drops out of your hand. You sigh in frustration and go to grab the pen from the ground without looking but end up feeling some type of necklace against your fingertips. When you take a better look at it and realize it’s the crushed necklace from last night.

Things/moments that were in the show but not the game; The Last of Us
Ellie being captured by Marlene and her people so they could 'test' her before being sure she's not actually infected. The first interaction with Ellie in the game was when Marlene was already sure of her immunity.
Tumblr media
2. The "If she so much as twitches" scene was just a perfect addition to TLOU humor. I wish this was in the game too. Daaamn.
Tumblr media
3. Ellie and Joel camping and eating together. We never got them like this in the game. There's only one picture of them sitting by the bonfire, laughing. But can you imagine having this moment in the cutscenes? Oh, man.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Ellie's horrified reaction to Henry commiting suicide in front of her eyes. Bella did an amazing job portraying this moment. I can only imagine game Ellie and what her baby face would look like if we got to see her reacting to such a heart-wrenching moment.
Tumblr media
5. Ellie and Joel digging graves for Henry and Sam and Ellie showing remorse because she already liked this damned kid. The game never offered this, which is a shame since game Ellie was emotionally intelligent, and this must have taken a toll on her.
Tumblr media
6. Joel teaching Ellie how to shoot at a target, somewhere in the middle of nowhere, being all cocky about being a good shot himself. This moment would be so lit if it was between game Joel and game Ellie. We only ever got a promo picture of Joel showing her how to use a rifle, but again, no cutscene. (and I know there's the Pittsburg scene where he teaches her, it's just not this).
Tumblr media
7. Ellie gorging herself when coming to Jackson and spotting Dina! This moment would be so precious in the game because game Ellie has always been nice to people she met (unlike show Ellie who has always been more 'coarse'). So this moment would have probably happened quite differently and it would be cool to see how!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. Joel remembering Sarah, seeing her in other people. This was such a touching addition to the show knowing even game Joel must have been experiencing this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. Ellie's life at FEDRA and her 'bickering' with classmates. We already knew this about game Ellie from the "American Dreams" comics, but we never got to see it on screen like this. Highly appreciated.
Tumblr media
10. Ellie loving the escalator aka. electric stairs. Seeing her goofing around, having the time of her life just running up and down the stairs... just priceless. Can you imagine game Ellie losing her shit on an escalator?
Tumblr media
11. Ellie and Riley hugging at the end of Left Behind. We never got to see game Ellie and game Riley hug and I will never forgive Neil Druckmann for this. Feeling this too deeply, it makes me sad this never happened in the game.
Tumblr media
12. Ellie and Joel holding hands after he got impaled; Ellie showing him she cared enough to stay and take care of him. This breaks my heart in the most beautiful way to be able to see it at least in the show. But try to imagine it in the game, if you will. Are you picturing it? Becaue I can't stop.
Tumblr media
13. Joel telling Ellie that Sarah would've liked her because she's funny. That was like the sweetest highlight of the most heartbreaking episode. Joel in the game mentioned Sarah in front of Ellie too, but not in this way and I feel like crying.
Tumblr media
14. An actual backstory to Ellie's mom Anna and Ellie being born. This was such an important additon to the show and the fact Ashley Johnson got to play the role made it even more meaningful.
Tumblr media
THANK YOU, THE LAST OF US, SEASON 1. THAT WAS QUITE A RIDE!

Elmsworth House, July 4th, 1818
Tumblr media
After the proposal was made and the friends and family wished their congratulations to the new couple, the party migrated to the drawing room for some entertainment before the evening was concluded. Helena asked Aurelia to enchant their guests with her refined singing and musical talents. She was reluctant at first, mainly because she hadn't sung in front of Frederick in almost two years, but she did it anyway. As Aurelia's fingers gracefully danced on the harpsichord keys, the notes that escaped her lips left Frederick enchanted by the beauty of her angelic voice. It was like a melody had echoed through the chambers of his heart. All he could do was think of was their last summer spent together, as he tried to hold back tears from the bittersweet memories they shared.

Aurelia: Alright.
Tumblr media
This made Aurelia more anxious than usual as recurring memories came to her head once more. She and Frederick used to sneak out late during the Summer of 1816 when he was staying with their family at their summer home in Brindleton. They used to enjoy each other's company and stroll along the beach whilst holding hands. They of course could never be intimate or physical in public, as it was considered scandalous, so when they had time to themselves they would hold, and hug each other as long as they could. She had been craving his touch and embrace for the past two years, and truth be told, she still loved him. She never stopped loving him, and now that he was in her presence again she felt her love for him grow stronger than it had been once he was away.

Notice - Part 1
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Curvy!Reader
Warnings: Self deprecation, Body image issues, Self hatred, Angst, Slow burn, Mutual pining and smut to come in later chapters
Summary: Reader is at a bar with her friends and it seems that all of them are being hit on except her, which is usual. She falls into a fit of self moping when a strange man pulls her out of it.
Word Count: 3,011
AN: This will be a series, but the amount of chapters is undecided thus far. It depends on where the story takes me.
╔══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══╗
Every man in the bar seemed to be fixated on the two girls that commanded it, hanging onto their every word and whim as if they were goddesses to be worshipped. Y/N watched as Evelyn and Ashley made their way around, downing drink after drink, none of which they had to pay for. She scoffed, staring down at her 5 dollar beer and silently wishing she had chosen to stay home.
It's not that she didn't like going out. On the contrary, she loved it. Getting dressed up and hanging out with her two best friends in the world was a fantastic break from her soul crushing job, and it was a great boost to her confidence to wear something as provocative as the lacy bodysuit and leather skirt she had chosen. Or so she thought, but now she looked at her clothing with hatred, not for the fabric but for what lay underneath it.
Maybe if she were skinny like Evelyn, a man would approach her. Maybe if she were pretty like Ashley, a man would buy her a drink. Maybe if she weren't worthless, someone would pay her attention, attention that she needed desperately. One of the strangest phenomenons she had ever experienced had to be becoming invisible. But she was. In a room full of men, nobody ever notices the fat girl. Her words fall on deaf ears, and nobody seeks her company without a motive. You'd think she would have grown accustomed to it, but still, her silly little heart hoped and wished and begged that every time they went out would be her time. Her moment. Her night. The night she finally was... well, noticed. Validated. The night she finally got the attention she needed. But the night would never come, this she knew, and she let the despair sink in as she drowned her sorrows in cheap alcohol.
Across the bar sat two men. One tall, hair nicely trimmed, eyes as green as emeralds shining in the sun. The other even taller, hair shaggy and sandy brown, the kind of man who obviously took care of himself.
"Dean," the taller one turned to the other, "I'm surprised you're not all over those girls. Every other man in here seems to be."
"Pshhhh," Dean scoffed, "Come on, Sammy. You know the first rule to picking up women - the ones that everyone wants are never worth it. Besides, I'd rather not have to deal with either of them. One has enough bleach in her hair to turn her brain white, and the other is just annoying. I can hear her laugh from over here, she sounds like a witch cackling."
"So much for your plan to hook up with someone tonight," Sam laughed.
"I don't have to hook up to have a good time, you know. And besides, I've been studyin'."
"Studying what?"
"That girl over there. She came with the bimbos, but... she's not like them. She almost seems sad."
"She's probably just trying to scare off random men like you, Dean. Nobody approaches a sad girl at a bar. I'll bet she knows that."
"I think I should go talk to her. You know, make sure she's okay."
Sam raised an eyebrow, "Go for it, but Dean, if she is sad, don't make it worse."
"Never, Sammy," Dean winked, sauntering over to the table where Y/N sat alone. He was almost nervous to talk to her, she wasn't his usual type. He was into the bimbo persuasion, not the devastatingly beautiful persuasion. He couldn't believe his luck that every man in the bar wasn't all over her. Thank God for her friends, distracting them all so he could have a shot.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, "You okay, sweetheart?"
Y/N looked up from her beer for the first time in minutes, searching for the source of the deep voice that had just rattled her bones. Her eyes landed on Dean, and she had to take a moment because, damn, he was absolutely breath taking.
"If you want me to help you get with my friends, sorry but I can't. They're into who they're into, my word has nothing to do with that."
"Who, them?" Dean scoffed, gesturing to the girls in question. Y/N's eyes averted as her heartache worsened.
"You should just go talk to them," she sighed, "I really can't help you."
"But I don't want to talk to them. I wanna talk to you."
Her eyes snapped up to meet his, her brows furrowed with utter disbelief. Was this a joke? He had to be joking,
"What?"
"Well, I didn't walk all the way over here for my health. Let me buy you a drink."
"Why?"
He sighed, wondering why she was so stubborn and guarded. Wondering if it was worth it to keep trying.
With one look into her eyes, he decided that it was. In fact, he would try anything to make this pretty girl pay him attention.
"You're the prettiest thing this bar has ever seen. I'd be a fool if I didn't at least try to talk to you, sweetheart."
There it was again. The pet name. Only this time it surrounded her, cradling her in its arms and easing the pain.
She turned away from him once again, peeling the label off of her beer, her nails and cuticles red from her anxiously biting them. She knew he would get sick of her after a moment or two and walk away. She knew he was just talking to her out of some weird need to be a good person. You know, talk to the fat ugly friend and win some brownie points with God, or whatever.
Sensing her inner turmoil, he spoke, "I'm not asking you to go home with me, or to marry me or anything like that. I just wanna buy you one beer and maybe have a conversation, see where this thing goes."
"I don't believe you," she huffed.
"Well, I don't know how to change your mind but I'm gonna start by ordering you another one. I'll be right back."
He walked to the bar and her eyes followed him the entire way.
Really, why was he talking to her? I mean, he couldn't actually be interested in her. He couldn't actually want to have a conversation with her, right? And what happens if she does humor him and have a conversation? He'll walk out the double doors and she'll never see or hear from him again. It was the way of her world. People either ignored her or left her. It was all she knew, and it was what she deserved.
"Here you go, sweetheart," he snapped her out of her trance once again and placed a freshly opened bottle in front of her. She almost immediately commenced to peeling the label off. "Do you have a name?"
"It's Y/N."
"Pretty. It suits you. I'm Dean, and that giant of a man over there glaring at us is my brother Sam. He's probably a little bored."
"Should you go back to him?" she asked, sure that he would take the bait and take his leave.
"Only if you go over there with me," he smirked, "I'm sure he'd like to meet you, and hanging with us would be way more fun than hanging out here at this table alone, watching your friends have a good time."
She thought it over for a moment. Really, it couldn't be any worse than the hell she was already putting herself through. And, well, as much as she didn't want to admit it, the attention Dean was giving her was seeping into her bones, becoming a part of her. She could feel herself becoming needy for more, whatever he was willing to give her.
They walked over to Sam's booth and slid into the side opposite him.
"Sammy, this is Y/N, and our goal tonight is to get her to have an actual conversation instead of just avoiding questions and looking away."
Sam chuckled, "He comes on strong, doesn't he?"
She nodded, a small smile gracing her features, and Dean reeled. It was the first time he had seen her smile at all, and it was marvelous. If he thought she was beautiful before, it was nothing compared to this.
Fuck.
"So, Y/N, whereabouts are you from?" Dean asked.
"Well, here, really. I grew up a few towns away. What about you guys?"
"We're from a little bit of everywhere, but we're living in Kansas right now."
"Oh, so you guys are just passing through?"
"Yeah, unfortunately. We'll be here for another night or two then we'll be headed back home."
"I see," she nodded along with what they were saying, but her insides felt like they were being crushed. She had known him leaving was imminent, but damn. The sting was potent. This man had noticed her. He had seen her in a room where she was invisible. And he actually heard her voice, and cared what she had to say. And he was leaving. To her, this was heartbreaking, no matter how much she anticipated it.
"But, you know, we make our way around a lot, so we'll be back. We never stay in one place for long," Sam chimed in, sensing the awkwardness rising.
"I'm gonna go to the restroom. I'll be right back, guys. Don't go back to Kansas while I'm gone," she joked, standing up and walking to the dark corner of the bar in which the restrooms were nestled.
"Dean, what the hell are you doing?" Sam asked him.
"What do you mean?" the older brother asked, eyebrow quirking up.
"Aren't you just trying to sleep with her? Why did you bring her over here?"
"Well... I was, but now, now I just wanna talk to her. Get to know her. I have a feeling men don't do that enough."
"I've never once known you to just want conversation with a woman."
"Well, I guess hell is frozen over," Dean shrugged.
"Don't go caring about this girl, Dean. We both know we're just passing through, and you have the potential to really hurt her here."
"I'm not! It's just, well, Sammy, you met her. There's something about her, she's not like her friends, she seems genuine. And come on, you saw her, she's the hottest girl in here."
"She is a pretty girl, and she does seem sweet, I just want you to be careful. She doesn't deserve to get hurt by you, she's better off lonely."
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Y/N stared at her reflection in the mirror, tears smudging her mascara.
"He doesn't matter. You don't need him. You don't need anyone. All you've ever had is yourself, that's not gonna change just because some man gave you his time," she scolded herself. She was embarrassed at the heat he made rush to her cheeks, at the smile that he caused, at the way her heart beat a little faster when he looked at her. She knew who she was, and she knew she was meant to be alone. Some people just aren't made to be happy. Some people are made to make other people happy, and she knew she was one of them. She couldn't let herself feel the pent up emotions. She couldn't risk actually caring. That, for her, would be suicide.
She took a deep breath and fixed her makeup, walking back to the table. She didn't sit down, though.
"I think it's best if I go back to my table," she sighed, bouncing from one foot to the other in anticipation.
Dean's confusion was evident, "Why, sweetheart? We were just getting started talking to you and now you disappear on us?"
"I just think I'm better off over there," she shrugged, and began walking away. But a gentle hand on her wrist stopped her, and she turned around.
"Please," he looked her in the eyes, his voice gravel but heavenly on her ears, "Don't go. I want you here. Sammy wants you here. Let us cheer you up."
The words she had said to herself in the bathroom began fading away and she could feel herself giving in. She glanced to Sam to see if he did, in fact, want her there, and it didn't go unnoticed by him.
"You should sit down, Y/N. We've all got beer, time, and stories to tell," the younger brother sent her an encouraging smile. Suddenly, her negative affirmations were gone completely, and replaced with hope. She wanted to let herself have this. She just wasn't sure how.
She took her previous seat, clearing her throat lightly and staring at her beer, peeling the label off once again. Dean saw this and took it out of her hands, removing her distraction from him.
"Drink it, sweetheart, don't deconstruct it."
"Nervous habit," she sighed, grabbing it back from him and placing it far enough away that she couldn't fiddle with it comfortably.
"So is biting your nails, but I see you do that, too," he pointed out.
A wave of burning embarrassment flooded through her, scarring her cheeks red. "I can't help it, please don't make fun of it," she said meekly, her voice barely higher than a whisper.
"Oh, I'm not making fun of you, I do it, too. See?" he smirked, holding his hand out for her to see that he was telling the truth.
"We should probably both stop," she remarked, and Sam snorted.
"Getting Dean to stop anything is just about impossible," he explained, and Dean shot him a glare.
"I'm not that stubborn, Sammy," Dean rolled his eyes, and Y/N stifled a giggle as she watched the brother bicker.
The conversation flowed between the three of them like a river, and, for the first time in what felt like ages, Y/N felt seen. And heard. Like she had a voice. Her heart was swelling with the overflow of attention from the boys, and she was almost awestruck at how well she got along with both of them, and how nice they were to her.
Similarly, the boys were in awe of Y/N. She was so shy initially, seemingly insecure, but once she was comfortable with them, she became this beautiful personality, a kind they had never seen before. She was smart but kind, bold but tactful, funny but down to earth. She was the kind of person that made them feel like the work they did was worth it. Even Sam had completely warmed up to her after an hour of aimless conversation, and he couldn't help but notice the way Dean was looking at her.
"I'm gonna head back to the motel, but you guys should stay, drink some more, keep talking," he informed, standing up from his seat and stretching.
"Oh no, Sammy, you can't leave now," Y/N all but whined, staring up at him, her eyes wide with a vulnerability she hadn't shown when she first talked to them, "We haven't even finished deciding which one of the guys in here my friends are gonna go home with!"
"My money is on Evelyn going home with too-tight-shorts guy, and Ashley going home with too-much-hair-gel guy," he chuckled as he grabbed the keys to the impala, "Dean, can she give you a ride back?"
"Yes," she responded for the younger brother, "I can." She then stood up and walked over to the moose like man, reaching up to give him a hug. "It was so nice to meet you, Sam. Take care."
"Yeah, you too," he smiled, hugging her back and bidding his farewell.
Part of her was elated to be alone with Dean, but another part of her was extremely nervous. He had played it cool in front of Sam, but what if it was all an act? And she couldn't fight the sadness she felt deep down over Sam's departure. She had developed a camaraderie with him, the kind that she didn't have with the girls. The friendship she found in Sam wasn't superficial at all, and there was no inclination that he was talking to her out of pity, or worse, to boost his own self esteem. He had hung onto her every word and offered plenty of his own, engaged in the conversation like he had known her forever. Like a brother would be. She could tell why his relationship with Dean was so close knit. And now she would likely never see him again, which, for her, was a greek tragedy.
"You okay, sweetheart?" Dean drawled, taking a sip of his beer, his tongue slipping out of his mouth to lick the rim of the bottle. She quickly snapped her eyes away, but he noticed the way they trailed the movement.
"I am, it's just... I hate that you guys are just passing through."
"I hate it too," he sighed, "More now than ever."
"Oh yeah? Why's that?" she smirked, turning in her seat to face him and throwing back her own bottle. A drop of her beer slipped down her cheek, then her chin, then continued its trail all the way down to her breasts, hardly concealed by her top. Dean pulled the same move that she had, shyly averting his eyes.
"Because I've never met a girl like you, sweetheart, and I don't know if I ever will again."
Her eyes met his in a flash of emotions, and the emerald reflected what she was feeling.
"Do you wanna get out of here? Go for a walk?" he asked suddenly.
"Dean," she sighed, "I don't want to hook up, if that's what you're getting at."
"I don't want to either. You... you deserve better than that. I just wanna talk, somewhere that doesn't smell like cheap beer and bad decisions."
She looked for any sign that he was lying, and found none, so she grabbed her purse and stood up.
"Well, what are you waiting for? We've got a walk to go on."

Aeon fic rec pt. 2
As this fic rec was getting a little old (four years ago already!) and too many of the fics on it had been deleted, I figured it was time for a remake. Please enjoy this new list of my favorite aeon fanfictions!
to our phantoms yet to come (teatin). Teatin is a pillar in the aeon fanfic writer community, and this is her latest creation. It follows Leon in the aftermath of RE4R, and his struggle to rebuild his trust in Ada. Poetic, angsty, sexy... it's got it all, and I consider this work canon until proved otherwise!
there be dragons (lordbhreanna). A four chaptered exploration of a 'what if?' RE2R scenario. What if... Ada was never shot by Annette and escaped Raccoon City with Leon, Claire and Sherry? So in-character you'll cry for more.
Homesick (eya_silvers, A.K.A me). Set after RE6, this fic explores a scenario in which Ada moves in with Leon. Settle down for domestic fluff, Leon being stubborn and blind and Ada being stubborn and elusive, as well as some angsty and sexy times, and you've got yourself a nice long novel to read during your insomniac night.
let's see how deep the bullet lies (chaotic3vil). Short but angst-full, it'll have you cry if you decide to act the scene out like I did. Can be summed up in one simple prompt: "What would it take for Ada Wong to break?"
Fallen Angel (romanticprism). Ada finds an orphan child in the middle of the warzone and decides to give her the life she deserves... with the help of the only man she trusts. This is the aeon as parents fic you've dreamed of.
Locked and Loaded (nuricurry). The three S: Sad, Suicidal, and Sexy. Or: Ada likes to point her gun but she can never really pull the trigger.
It's Cold Outside But I'm Burning (blaircow). Four walls, two people, one conversation. Let's all harass the author for more chapters because damn this is good!
Just Me and You (AzuraJae). Another aeon parents fic!! After the events of RE6 and Vendetta, Ada drops a baby on Leon's doorstep... is he ready to be a dad? And does she have what it takes to be a mom?
all the roads we didn't walk (teatin). I adore this one so much. Basically six fics in one, it's taking the concept of multiverse and applying it to aeon in heart-breaking and tooth-rotting ways. If you don't want to cry, don't read it. If you do, oooh boy!
scales and measures (whatsarasays). One step forward, two steps back with aeon. They don't trust each other, yet they do, they can't love each other, yet they want to... this fic is a whirlwind of emotions and opposing feelings.
Carmen (eya_silvers). Following a battle against a bioterrorist, Ada and Leon get infected and... swap bodies. They now have to find a way to get back to themselves, as well as navigate the issues of their relationship and end a potential biohazard war. Sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of push from the universe to be able to see yourself in the other's eye...
Of Things Unseen (jcavero). After Spain, Leon and Ashley have to get back to their own life, but the losses are great and traumas are deep. Slowly, they both push each other to the path of healing. Perhaps Leon can have closure with Ada too. All the relationships in this fic are so great and I absolutely adore introspective fics.

thank you for tagging me @kiki-strike !! <33
10 characters 10 fandoms 10 (ish) tags!
1. Azula ATLA - she's a girlboss. she's a pathetic poor little meow meow. she's a manipulative mastermind. she's a socially awkward wreck. she's a child soldier whose mother left her & who's father treated her like a weapon. she's the most formidable villain the heroes have ever faced. i love her
2. Ashley Graves TCOAAL - a controversial pick MAYBE but I love to see a demon-worshipping cannibal queen winning (committing unspeakable acts but it's ok because her mom didn't love her & also she is baby have u considered that?) i think ashley should be allowed to commit all the atrocities she wants as a treat on the grounds that her parents were so awful they left her to starve to death & before that, pretended not to notice when she & her brother accidentally killed a girl in middle school
3. Natalie Scatorcio, Yellowjackets - 2 cannibal queens in a row I must have a type <3 I love a tragic hero who is also a violent, dangerous & unstable individual. forgiveness is a nice idea but my poor doomed antler queen will never live to see it... she was a gentle soul (ignore the atrocities) who never got to see a single moment of peace or gentleness in her life
4. Sam Carpenter, Scream - it was nearly impossible for me to pick between my best girls Sidney, Emma, & Sam for this list but I have to go Sam. she's the daughter of a serial killer. she enjoys stabbing people. she sees visions of her dead dad telling her to kill but she loves her friends & her sister more than anything. i adore my dangerous & violent but also oh so sweet babygirl
5. Faith Lehane Buffy the Vampire Slayer - listen, Buffy is the obvious choice for the best character in Buffy OFC. but have you considered. faith is broken & hurt & a little crazy with jealousy & obsession with buffy. she's the dark slayer. she has a dynamic with the wacky evil demonic town mayor that mirrors buffy's relationship with her wholesome (mostly. sometimes demon rebelly) librarian mentor as the dark side of the coin. she's never had anyone pick her first & it kills her but she pretends she doesn't care. i'd die for her
6. Baby Firefly - this time not a confirmed cannibal but my girl is into corpse desecration & necrophilia so I think this is a great list that proves I have excellent taste in fictional characters. "there is no wrong. if someone needs to be killed you kill 'em! that's the way :)"
7. Beth Salinger, Hostel 2 - fave final girl my bestie had a hot lesbian enemies to almost lovers to beheading you & playing soccer with the head dynamic with an evil secret society member who tried to lure her to her death. she also cut off the penis of the man who dared to fuck with her & fed it to a dog so like what more can you even want from a character <3
8. Dennis Reynolds IASIP - having dennis as my fave is soo embarrassing he's such a basic fave but genuinely he's SO fucking pathetic & sad beneath the layers of fake manipulative suave cool rich kid that he thinks he conveys (he doesn't). he's literally just a sad little girl who falls apart & curls up on he ground crying when things get overwhelming. everyone who doesn't understand him thinks he's a mastermind serial killer but they are FALLING FOR HIS ACT
9. Katherine Pierce TVD - THEY HATE TO SEE A GIRLBOSS WINNINGGGGGGG (I don't know Scarlet Witch but I think it's funny to steal the description for #9 for Katherine from the person who tagged me in this hehe) anyway it's funny for me to pick Katherine when I named my cat damon & I have a ginormous shirtless poster of ian somerhalder literally over my bed I'm looking at it right now BUT hear me out. Katherine is my real fave. unforgivable villain who always chooses herself first & also mirrors the protagonist & also she was just a girl once too, a pregnant, scared young girl. if the writers cared about me specifically at all we would've gotten a spin off of Katherine & her daughter instead of what we got
10. Annie Edison Community - much like with buffy the vampire slayer & buffy summers, there is a correct answer to which community character is objectively the best & it's obviously abed. BUT my subjective fave that I latch onto is annie. she's just so babygirl. she had a nervous breakdown in high school because she was always too perfect. she's just out of rehab for adderall when we meet her but it's mostly only referenced or flashed back to as a joke. we never meet her parents but the quotes she references from them are deeply disturbing if you turn off the laugh track & pay attention. she has a fucked up relationship with her good older male friend because #daddy issues. she is obsessed with true crime. there's a monkey named after her boobs. she's the ONLY member of the study group who could've EVER lived with troy & abed & incorporated herself into their dynamic the way she does in episodes like foosball & nocturnal vigilantism. my girl is so silly & a little crazy <3
anyway
thank u for the tag i love rambling about my fave characters!!
I tag: @missjessefantastico, @theowritesfiction @dont-leafmealone, @peony-pearl, @stalker-among-the-stars @bearsandbeansart @chasingfictions @hello-nichya-here, @lunaintheskyforever, @gathering0gloom, @jctko, @jet-apologistmybadhomies, @745voiceofthepeople, @prodogg, @matchamarshmallow
ok if you wanted to be tagged please just say I tagged you also no pressure to the people I tagged it's just for fun if u want :)

I'm Gonna Ride This Plane Out of Your Life Again, I Wish That I Could Stay, But You Argue...
I woke up on Wednesday morning fairly early (as I usually do) and cleaned up the AirBnB apathetically. Sad and tired I just wanted to crawl back in bed but we had an early check out time (10:00 AM) so there was no chance of that. Le sigh.
It was a sad morning knowing that this was the last few hours but on the plus side we did find a nearby place to get some breakfast which was pretty good (we both had the Vegan Chorizo Hash). The staff at the restaurant seemed so nice and friendly I felt bad that there were no other customers (save for a Door Dasher who was complaining about the wait for the food). If you're ever looking for breakfast in the Montrose neighborhood of Chicago maybe hit up Breakfast House.
On the way to the train we saw a heart under the overpass which appeared to be made of smeared human feces and if that doesn't make you feel loved by a city I just don't know what does!
The long train ride to O'Hare was spent with me mostly weeping "I'd cry too if I had to go back to Portland." The Funny Bunny said. I was at least looking forward to getting back to Alzee and the cats (a life with no cats?? Who needs it?)... but I started ugly crying as soon as we parted ways at the airport. It was so bad that the security lady was like "ARE YOU OKAY???" I would've thought crying at the airport was a common occurrence but maybe I just cry like a crazy person, haha.
The wait to board wasn't too long thankfully and the plane was a little nicer than the one I flew in on. I got the impression my seat mate (a white haired older fella) was confused by what I was doing in First Class (don't let the colorful hair fool you, I'm a bougie bitch) but the flight attendant remembered me "Oh, Jaymz! Didn't I just have a flight with you?" "About a week ago, yeah." "Wonderful!" See, man? I'm famous.
I had a lot of thinking to do on the long ride home and I was a little overwhelmed. I don't know yet how to break the news to my mom that I don't think I can handle a flight over 4 hours (she wants me to come to Florida, I just don't see how). But at least I got some warm nuts and ginger ale.
Tumblr media
The vegan meal was pretty good too. White Bean Chili and Polenta. I erred on the side of caution again and skipped the cookie since everyone got one and I assume it's not vegan. So just be aware of that if you're vegan and you fly Alaska.
Tumblr media
I got a nice view of the mountains to welcome me home. I wish I was better at taking pictures out of plane windows, haha.
Tumblr media
As we de-boarded my new best friend flight attendant said "Goodbye, Jaymz will we be seeing again soon?" I laughed and she turned to the other attendant and said "She's the quietest passenger I've ever had." She has not heard my cackle...
Alzee picked me up at the airport, it's really nice to live only like ten minutes away from it, haha.
All in all it was a good trip, I'm glad I finally got to see Chicago so I can cross that off my bucket list, haha. Ashley and Shelly were proud of me for stepping outside my comfort zone and going on an adventure. I'm also really thankful that the Funny Bunny was willing to show me all around because I know I wouldn't have been able to figure out the trains on my own. I also came away with a few mementos...
Tumblr media
From left to right, Gifts from the Funny Bunny: Sue the T-Rex from the Mold-O-Rama mold machine at the Field Museum and Klondike Kat & Ricochet Rabbit figures (thanks!). Pine cone from the Botanical Garden and flat penny (DNA strand design) from the Science Museum. Mug with "The Loop" train map design I got at a souvenir shop. Precious memories.
I hope you all enjoyed reading about my own personal Adventures in Babysitting, I will try to document more adventures in the future. I have been meaning to make it up to Seattle again sometime soon and visit Arizona and California again so I should really get to planning... If you're vegan and want to show me around your city (and not murder me!) feel free to hit me up sometime. As long as it's not more than 4 hours by plane, haha.

I have too many thoughts so um as someone who is occasionally a casual enjoyer but not a swiftie and who literally never does this, have fun. btw theres a woman named Grace Powers on instagram who made a song out of the track titles and it’s better than the whole album.
so super critical album review from someone who listened to most of it if you want it
TRACK ONE: Fortnight
this song is like. Just boring enough that I don’t actually have the energy to dislike it.
TRACK TWO: The Tortured Poets Department
I mean. It’s about Matty Healy it was never going to be fantastic especially when its competition in that really specific subgenre of pop music is one of the three best songs Ashley ‘Halsey’ Frangipane has ever written.
TRACK THREE: My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys
it would be one of the worse songs on reputation so it’s one of the better songs here.
TRACK FOUR: Down Bad
I forgot about this song to be honest.
TRACK FIVE: So Long, London
I actually do really like this. It’s got imagery and a nice vibe to it. A good sad ballad.
TRACK SIX: But Daddy I Love Him
it is the first of this album’s many unhinged songs, and by far the most calm of their number. It’s okay. Reminiscent of her earlier stuff but with less heart.
TRACK SEVEN: Fresh Out the Slammer
okay so. I had automatic terrible assumptions about a BILLIONAIRE writing a song with this title but it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
TRACK EIGHT: Florida!!!
based on the vibes of this song, I am going to assume that Taylor Swift has never been to any area of Florida outside of Miami. i am not a Floridian, but I know that this is almost laughably stereotypical. I don’t take issue with that - as a Yankee I encourage it - but the Florence + the Machine feature on this song only serves to remind me how much better Florence is than Taylor, at least in terms of her voice. Putting her on backing vocals for the chorus just makes her drown out everything else. This song just made me want to go listen to Morning Elvis again. That said, it’s definitely not bad. I do still like it.
TRACK NINE: Guilty As Sin?
I know nothing of this song.
TRACK TEN: Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?
this song seems more intentionally unhinged than track six, and that makes it almost worse. If there was any conviction behind it, yeah, that would be a good song. However, I do not actually believe she has any plans to start biting people.
TRACK ELEVEN: I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)
it’s fine.
TRACK TWELVE: loml
it’s alright. Wish I remembered anything about it.
TRACK THIRTEEN: I Can Do It With A Broken Heart
she’s railing against the golden cage she’s in, but who locked the door and then promptly had the bars reset so they were shiny, Taylor???
TRACK FOURTEEN: The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
also pretty forgettable.
TRACK FIFTEEN: The Alchemy
simply the most forgettable.
TRACK SIXTEEN: Clara Bow
I don’t know why, but this song Got To Me. I audibly wailed at the end of this song. I have no clue what about this one motivates me, but it is just so good to me specifically. I said, “if the Clara Bow song is bad, im so done” and it wasn’t bad.

So, it seems like this summer was for discovering last decade's successful shows which at the time I failed to aknowledge, for some reason.
It was Masters of Sex's turn, this time, and believe me, I know I'm late. I've been lovingly smiling at Michael Sheen's face ever since the Blessed Tennant-Sheen Blending happened, but I've always been more of a David Tennant girl so I wrongfully didn't bother to dig deeper in Michael's work before. But I KNOW how good he is: Staged was literally a bright light in the dark and that man is so good at expressing rage, I fucking love him okay?
At first I thought the emotional leap from the Pilot to the second episode was a bit sudden? I loved the strictly professional and detached Masters, totally focused on getting this very important project approved. I was intrigued by the curiosity that Virginia (who was so unashamed and resolute in that Pilot!) ignited in him. Why the hell does he start feeling confused towards her right away? And why does she appear "docile" and moved by guilt at once? I was like that monkey meme rising their arms. But this was just my little initial confusion, I guess?
While watching it I was also reading The Clitoral and the Vaginal Woman by Carla Lonzi and at some point she quotes Masters and Johnson, acknowledging their remarkable takes on women's sexuality. It was such a nice coincidence!
Feminist essays have long explained to us that especially straight sex is based on patriarchal approaches. Science didn't know that women (usually) don't orgasm with vaginal penetration. Men believed that their way of having an orgasm also applied to women. This should explain why it took us so long to understand certain things about ourselves: we weren't seen as the other totally different side of the population, so our input didn't matter. Masters and Johnson kinda changed that by approaching to sex in a purely biological way, for once (I realize I might sound like I agree with terf teory but I do not! I align with intersectional feminism). So their work was actually really important.
Watching the show I felt like actresses' bodies were definitely exploited. And that narratively most of the storyline evolves around Bill's (selfish and manipulatory) needs and purposes...I mean it's called Masters of sex, I get it. But I loved Lizzy Caplan as well, she's so talented, I didn't know she was such a good actress! Why don't I see these people around, more?? Their chemistry was so on point!
Also: Caitlin FitzGerald bringing character development with such grace!!!! And Jeremy Strong being more sad puppy than ever!!!!! Even Ashley Zukerman, at some point. Oh, my Succession heart.
There were moments where things went too far, in my opinion, but sometimes the cuteness would overwhelm me! I will take scenes like the Love Speech with me. I mean. Look how cute they were!
Tumblr media
I'm just sorry the show wasn't given the opportunity to go on, there were a lot of things yet to explore and unfold. It's kinda bittersweet, when you get to the end.

Superman's kids ranked
Hmm guess the bottom is where I start here (please note I have not been able to read the dailies)
Wait. Actually there's a few unranked kids, so first a pre-ranking ranking:
Unranked (+ "Superman's" kids)
Superman-Red's Twins and Superman-Blue's Twins: they just kind of exist. They don't have any characterization at all since they don't even talk
Carl (Mr. Mxyptlk): He does a little trolling. I feel a bit bad for Larissa Lenox though
twins in Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #55: no. I don't want to think about this story.
Mooki: this isn't superman. He's neat. Robot Merkid
Lyle and Lili: that's not Lois and that's not Kal-El, it's actually his cousin and a lookalike
Superman Jr (Robin (Fred Ashley (Dick Grayson))): i uh wha. Hmm I think I'll rate him exclusively from the story. Anyways it's basically Lois pranking Superman back via blackmailing Robin (she was pretty sure Robin was one of 6 people). Uh Funny and weird I guess but that's what happens when you prank each other via pretend space travel.
Clark Jr. & Lori (Man of Tomorrow #15): they're literally demons. Anyways they're kinda bland because it's "picturesque traditional American values" that are directly opposed to Superman being more due to what they are. (also RIP Post-crisis Lana, the other main Lanas are simply built different; but also it was Neron so ...). At least Clark Jr. wanted to leave smallville
son & daughter w/Lana Lang (Action Comics #492) : R.I.P. you nonexistent kids. You seemed nice
Lois Lane's son from her coma dream (Showcase #9): uhh what a strange character to rate. So I'm just not going to. idk Superman was trying to get Lois to wake up by making her unhappy so it's weird
Orna Kal-El: alan moore did not write orna at all. She just shows up and says no lines.
Van-El: "I don't think you're real" doesn't hit as hard in the comic. Also he's kinda bland.
Extra note on the black mercy thing:why ISN'T Lyla Lerrol still an actress Moore? Please explain
Richard, M'R'R and K'R'K: nothing characters who also expanded the British empire. this should've ended with K'L'L dismantling the British empire
Twins, with Lois Lane (Adventures of Superman #561): they just sorta exist in Supes's dream. Remind me of the more troublemaker versions of Silver Age twins though (probably a reference since it was a Dominus Effect Epilogue)
Lara Lane Kent (Injustice dream): actually a good character. too bad she's basically the conscience of a man who's basically the worst superman ever.
Martha (Man of Tomorrow #15): She seemed nice despite being fake. At least Clark actually being superman in this fake reality means that she actually gets to do stuff. She wants to go to the moon again. That's it. That's the whole character
onto superman's actual kids;
#55: JLA: Act of God baby; I hate him and everything he stands for
#54: The Others (JLA: Created Equal): Unlike Adam they don't feel sad about being misogynistic and have a change of heart after not during the Luthor fight
#53: Adam Kent: according to the text itself Lex only heightened his misogyny
#52: Kara (and the others) (JLA: Created Equal): She's a girl so she isn't misogynistic. Unfortunately it's weird because she's Power Girl's daughter. seems like a nice person though. these 3 might just be because of me just not vibing with the story but ehh w/e
#51: Lar-El and Vara: these 2 are just kinda really bland. doesn't help that they only show up twice. there's the interesting hook of feeling that Superman abandoned them, but it's too little.
#50: The Twins (World's Finest 35)
Tumblr media
I think this basically sums it up. They're basically used as bratty normal babies that Clark gets annoyed by
#49: Bruce Kent: he exists I guess (will not complain about the story, will not complain about the story, will complain about the story; evil captain marvel is dumb and it's weird how different characters are affected by the apocalypse very differently. also the "we belong together" line hate when they do that, but that's not about Bruce Kent so it's moot). that's pretty much it.
#48: Jonathan Elliott: he exists I guess (will not complain about the story, will not complain about the story, will not). that's pretty much it.
#47: Jonathan Kent (Green Lantern: Darkstars): He exists I guess. has a bit more stuff to him, but he ends up being a good dude despite Belzebeth controlling the darkstars
#46: Lara Kent (Dark Knight/Millerverse): idk her vibes are just off. I like her but then she does something and it's like eugh Frank Miller. and her parents also being OOC does her no favors. Her appearance in the third series made me rank her worse. I do like the thing where she finally touches the ground at the end, but I just really dislike her whole character. At least her dad's more in character in the third one ig. her vibes are off
#45: Jonathan Kent (Future State): he's nice i guess. There just isn't much of him so he's right here. Not a lot of room to be a character when it's just like 5 panels
#44: Jonathan Kent (Space Age): he's nice i guess. Rated slightly higher due to a snowball fight. he doesn't do much
#43: Larry & Carole (Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #36) they don't show up much and don't have much characterization besides only one of them becoming a superhero so not ranking those versions. I guess these two at least have some characterization in that they like playing with the space animals and Larry becomes Superman II
#42: Vol: he's fine he's fine. Besides being a character in one of the most batshit insane superman plots; he's just fine. At least he saved his universe and sent Sonn back to the Earth-One Universe. So uhh points for him I guess? He does a bit more than SGFLL 36 Larry and Carole so he's ranked higher. I guess
#41: Krys Kent: I liked him enough but he kinda has nothing going for him. I guess he has a bit of potential in that he could probably learn magic (he doesn't have powers). He seems nice I guess and he also has the fun line near the beginning of the story after Superman throws him, but that's about it
#40: Krys's evil ghost demon extradimensional twin: The villain has more of a character due to talking more, but really he's just evil for the sake of it. Interesting villain... ... ...I guess evil ghost extradimensional beings don't count for Superman's rules
#39: Jor-El II (Action Comics 327): really wants Clark to stop spoiling his kid. He thinks there's no such thing as crooks anymore (he's wrong), but he's always on missions doing Superman stuff I guess. there must be a lot of natural disasters I guess.
#38: Baby Bliss: toddler written during the silver age. At least he helps Clark a bit although most of the time Kal is just confused about the situation and Baby Bliss sometimes does some trickery to Superman. So I'm ranking him near the middle
#37: Lola Kent: points docked for getting with her cousin. Other than that she's good, since she has very similar characterization to pre-crisis superman, who is a pretty good character. but yeah she's down here because of Jimmy Jr. She'd probably be higher if it wasn't for Lucy Lane
#36: Jor-El II: he is a victim. this happened because his mom was a jerk and honestly I'm not sure if Lois really got through to Lois. There's also probably a better way to get through your alternate universe self who's tired of being a housewife. At least his dad was nice the whole time and even apologized about always leaving for missions. Jor-El II's life sucks and I'm not convinced it gets better. ranks low since I didn't really get anything for his characterization
#35: Clark Kent Jr (Superman #404): seems like a nice kid who loves his parents. I like the bit where Lana makes Clark Jr makes Clark gets ice cream but there's really not much here. I will say this was a very interesting imaginary story that I wouldn't mind being expanded on
#34: Superman II (Jorel Kent): he only appears in 3 Superman 2020 stories so he doesn't have much. He really is Superman II. there's not much differentiating himself from his father. Kalel has more going on just because Superman 2020 is about Kalel and not Jorel.
#33: Superman Jr. (Denny O'Neil): He's dead now. Denny O'Neil's take was weird. Still liked him though. He tried heroing even though he caused disasters everywhere he went. I guess he self-sacrificed himself for the good of reality
#32: Joel Perry Kent: He is also a victim because of Ultra Humanite. Idk I think Clark is also at fault here; just tell the dude. However him trying to kill the Vietnamese village is all on him. It doesn't say that Ultra-humanite told him to do it sooo.
#31: Jonathan Kent (Frank Millerverse): he's fine I guess. He felt like the imaginary story kids or silver age superman when he was fighting Darkseid so he ranks a bit higher. like when the supers are like tricksters
#30: Larry (Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #39): He is a bit of a scamp so that's great. He does cause Jimmy to go blind and Lana to breathe fire though, but then again Clark didn't explain the black magic to anyone in the family so really that was Superman's fault.
#29: Superman Jr (World's Finest #154 & #157): started as bit of a jerk to Bruce Jr but basically mellowed out. Since he's only in 2 comics there's not much characterization here and his dynamic with his Bruce Jr isn't as great as the Bob Haney version
#28: Kara Kent: Honestly kinda bland. She has a sweet relationship with Bruce Jr, but that's basically it. Like she has half the powers of Superman and complains about it a few times, but that's really par for the course of biological superman kids. Has a bit more of stuff in Generations 2, but nothing really to make her go higher or lower on this list
#27: Supergirl (Ariella Kent)/R'E'L, the Destroyer of Worlds: reading the dc one million issue again it's not bad but the comedy doesn't land as much as it wants to. despite her crying in that one scene I just don't like her as much as the others unfortunately :/
#26: Johny Kirk (Superman Jr): Nice kid, unfortunate circumstances though. Also his ending was horrible. Where does he even live now. Like he totally should've stayed being adopted by Superman
#25: Tommy: he's just a little guy and unlike almost everyone else that's main canon, he gets a happy ending. Clark could and should check on him from time to time though. Also since he's powerless I find him more interesting than Johny
#24: Jonathan Kent II (Kingdom Come): All things considered he's pretty cool. Most of it is due to cribbing Phantom Stranger's style but he's alright. Do like how he has Hypertime powers; But other than that he's kind of just the monitor from COIE
#23 Larry and Carole* (Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #23): basically more subdued versions of the twins with lady luck, so they're less fun but also they don't seem to purposefully mess with their parents like their earlier counterparts. They also have belts that can be switched on/off to stop them from having superpowers so that's interesting. They're fights also seem more playful than anything
#22::Jonathan Samuel Kent: there's a lot I do NOT like about him but there's lots of good bits and pieces. I unfortunately have to concede that he's not the worst jon.
#21: Twins, with "Lady Luck" in Superman #131: the twins are menaces. But in a fun way. They keep on fighting and messing with each other (& their parents). It's great
#20: Joan Kent: I liked her enough, Liked how she tried to trick Larry at first, although unfortunately that doesn't work and she kinda spends the whole story kidnapped by Ironclaws. I do like how she argued with Larry while Larry was evil, though it seems like they had a soft spot for each other even before Larry turned good. but she ultimately doesn't do much so I had to rank her lower. If it was more of a Joan story than a Lois story she might be ranked higher
#19: Clark Kent Jr/Superman Jr/Superboy (Superman #192 & 194): I liked him more in 192 where he was a bit more mischievous, and then started talking in gigantic words, but he was fine in 194 as well. He was even able to outsmart Lex Luthor. He'd probably be higher if he stayed more mischievous or was still using gigantic words in his vocabulary. I do really like this imaginary story plot though.
#18: Jor-El II/Nightwing (Superman #166): Good character but not as good as his brother, he's basically a kid Superman but he doesn't feel as developed as Clark Superboy. That's probably why they focused more on his brother. He teased Kal-El II at the beginning a bit too much, but he basically stops after Clark tells him to stop
#17: Pyrrhos: Pretty good villain all things considered. don't like that he was the one who killed Darkseid but that's because I read Kirby's New Gods. I liked him enough
#16: Clark Kent Jr./Superman Jr. (Bob Haney): He's great. His dynamic with Bruce Jr. is also great. He's more optimistic and more of a reader than Bruce Jr. I feel like Clark Jr is like a more hotheaded Clark. Even at their most confrontational Batman Jr. and Superman Jr remain friends. points docked a bit due to not really existing without Bruce Jr. He does have a bit of an inferiority complex ("generation gap") due to only being about half as strong as Superman so characterization bonus
#15: Cir-El is neat; the whole weird Mia thing was not. But it's ok cause I'm ranking his kids not his not kids. Kinda suffers for only being in like 13 issues, but i enjoyed her existence while she was there. Like how she kept on thinking of Superman (and Lois) as her parents even after the truth was revealed
#14 Lara Lane Kent (Adventures of Superman #638): liked what little there was of her. She seems like a neat character. Best part was the Calvin and Hobbes homage.
#13 Kal-El II/Flamebird/Kalel Kent (Superman #166): Good character, having no powers while your brother and dad do, gives ample reason for an inferiority complex. I also like how it showed he was a bit smarter due to him deciding to read more books and studying which wouldn't have happened without his inferiority complex about no powers. Also like how he kept messing up with the secret identity bit by accidentally calling Nightwing Jor when they were in Kandor
#12: Laura Kent (Superman Family #200): She's neat. Wasn't born with powers but developed them later, but like in the same day. She seems interesting enough. It ends before she can tell her parents she got powers so unfortunately she's not as high as she could be. Good character from what little we see of her though
#11: Super-Baby (Superman #224): EVIL baby. L.E.G.I.ON. ripped off this guy when they cooked with Lyrl. I like how he completely took over the villains' operations once they made themselves known. Guess he wasn't as intelligent as he thought since Superman specifically booby trapped the springs which was how to make the actual puzzle. Fun villain; just a normal baby know though
#10: Carol and Jane Kent (Secret Identity): only show up as actual characters in the last issue, but it does a decent amount building them up in how their similarities and differences to their dad. Them being less scared than Clark makes sense since they had each other.
#9: Zod (DCAU/A Better World): I actually like this kid quite a bit. Neat powers is a bonus as well. when they focused on him it was actually quite an enjoyable read
#8: Jon Kent (Son of Superman): I actually really like this Jon. He's also kinda funny sometimes. He kinda reminds me of what current Jonathan Samuel was TRYING to be but actually succeeding. It helps that the world he lives in is like our current world but a bit worse. (Some of the characters in the elseworlds feel OOC but other than that I like the story). Jon's just a good character all around.
#7: Osul-Ra & Otho-Ra: these two are pretty close in ranking since sometimes I like Otho more and sometimes I like Osul more, so I'll just put them in the same section. Depending on how other writers write them they may move up (or down). Osul has the Old God stuff while Otho has the more brash stuff.
#6: Lisa Kent/Superlass (Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #91): I just like her as a character. She's nice and a bit brash at times, but honestly all around she seems to just want to help. despite the imaginary story having the end and feeling like a tragedy, it feels more hopeful than certain other stories here. She probably should've asked Lois if she wanted to be cured first though
#5: Kara (Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane #20): Honestly this one was just a tragedy of miscommunication, but also Kara and Kal DID ignore Lois a lot which while understandable, but uh yeah. Honestly I blame Lois having to quit her job and the midvale investigator mainly. Kara's basically mainline Kara here, which unfortunately includes the not being adopted (yet) part
#4: Laney (Superman 215): I feel like Laney has more Lois than previous lois kids with superman so she's ranked higher. She's more impatient and curious. She also kinda sorta gets a happy ending though she and clark are mourning and going through grief the whole time. ...I hope other Lois doesn't feel bad about this whole situation, but that's not me ranking Superman's kids. That's me talking about the story
#3: Christopher Kent: Yeah he's great. He's just a really nice kid, who has trauma and also has a bit of trouble fitting in. His age up while weird at least gave him cool powers... eventually. And also I think they fixed it? Mon-El taking him under his wing at the finale was neat too. Bring the actual him back
#2: Jonathan Lane Kent: I wasn't expecting to like him so much. He really develops as a character. and eventually could even be called a hero. Plus the only reason he was even evil in the first place was because he was raised young by Harvest so him eventually actually being a hero makes sense. Weird character though
#1: Gregor Nagy: I actually really like his one and done story. bring him back.
Also:
Tumblr media
this is why he's peak. It's ultimately about not feeling like you fit in the world. bonus points for having a completely different power set that's also cool
#0: Jimmy Olsen. obviously. I will have to say Superman was a jerk due to a misunderstanding but Jimmy being the GOAT that he is doesn't mind not being Superman's son. And despite not having a happy ending as a superman son, he does gain/regain 2 other dads

My Critics about Hazbin Hotel
I'm actually not a fan of cartoons and senseless violence. But Hazbin Hotel was thrown into my timeline with the song “Addict”. The first thing that caught my eye was the color combinations, which I found absolutely unique about this animation style. I also liked the Angeldust twist. On the one hand the super erotic stripper, on the other hand the victim of his pimp. This made me want to look at the plot. And what should I say? I fell in love with the characters. I particularly liked Alastor. Since the series didn't continue for a long time, I watched Helluva Boss and also thought this series was good. 1. From SA to an Rapefetisch(?): The series is criticized for sexualizing Valentino's abusive behavior and the fact that he rapes Angeldust or has him raped. I must say. I am rather ambivalent about this criticism. I remind you again of “Addict”. Angeldust is seen dancing erotically on a pole, while sequences are shown in which he is seen suffering in his bed and Cherry comes to comfort him. You see Valentino force a kiss on him at the end and drive away with him. Basically it doesn't matter whether Raph or Ralph (?) drew a rape comic, which Vivziepop used for her series. Because what happens in episode four is nothing like what happens in "Addict." This interplay of relationship-eroticism and abuse-rape can also be found in the voice messages that Valentino sends Angel. In this way, Valentino continues to bind Angel to him, even without a contract. On the other hand, I can understand that fans are still upset by this. I mean, there is sexual tension between Valentino and Angel Dust. The way Valentino blows the smoke in Angel's face or the way Angel dances on the chains... Then you see them in bed together. Between the scenes in which you see Angel suffering, you also see scenes that could ensure that Val's behavior could be put in a positive light. Maybe Viv should pay a little more attention to this in her production. 2. The old Cast is gone: What made me very sad was that the old voices of our favorite characters weren't used at all. As far as I know, it was because of an argument between Vivziepop and Ashley. Erin, a Spindlehorse team member, revealed a WhatsApp history by messaging Ashley about her mental health during production and Vivziepop seemingly saw it as an attack. Others say Vivziepop learned something unpleasant about Ashley and gossiped about it to others. Whatever it was, the voice actors were dragged into the dispute and fired, among other things, because they were friends with Ashley. I don't know if that's true now. If so, then Viv has a nice place in hell. In any case, I'm a little sad for the old voice actors because I find it unusual to hear the characters now have different voices. I wish Viv had kept the old team. 3. The Main-Characters seem to be Mary Sues: The headline is a little exaggerated. But I had to roll my eyes at some points. Husker is said to have been an overlord. Why? How important is it to the plot that Husk was an overlord? So that he is particularly strong? I liked him as a player who gambled away his soul to Alastor. It hardly makes any sense since we were told by Vaggie in the prologue that Alastor has already killed overlords. So why spare Husk? A fan theory has come true. Vaggie is an angel. *Head greets tabletop* If she knows about Alastor and what he did, I'm guessing she'll be in hell for longer than 10 years. If not, it doesn't matter. She speaks Spanish, likes to swear and as background information we know that she was in an abusive relationship with a man. This had such an impact on her that she became a lesbian, because of it. She also takes the people from the hotel to a gun fight and has them fight there... She's definitely an angel. *irony off* To me it would have been more logical if she had killed her violent boyfriend as a human and ended up in hell because of it. But no. She must be an OP angel. I then wonder what Niffty is. Probably God. lol (Part 2)

Chapter Five
Is It Something You Drank?
An unexpected meeting at the sheriff’s station leads to more information about the missing men.
Phew… this story is so much fun! Imagining it out with only the prompts as leads is equal parts panic inducing and absolutely thrilling. Thanks for coming along on this ride. 😊
Tumblr media
“I’m telling you, you need to check again,” a woman was saying as they walked into the sheriff’s station.
“Ashley, please calm down.”
“No, I won’t. My brother is missing and it seems like you are doing fuck all about it. There’s been nothing new and it’s been a week.” She started crying and the man came from behind the counter, and pulled her in for a hug.
Scully glanced at Mulder and he nodded, watching the interaction between the two.
“I promise you that we’re looking, Ashley,” he said quietly and she cried harder. “I know you’re worried about him, of course you are, but I assure you, we are trying to find him.”
“I know,” Ashley cried. “I know you are. I’m sorry…” She started sobbing and the man led her to a couch, sitting down beside her and continuing to speak in hushed tones.
“Can I help you?” another man asked softly and Scully and Mulder turned to look at him.
“Yeah,” she said, taking out her badge as Mulder did the same. “Agents Scully and Mulder.”
“Oh, yeah,” he said with a nod at them and then the man sitting on the couch. “Ned said you’d be by today. I’m Lyle, deputy sheriff.”
“Nice to meet you. Is there a place we could talk?” Scully asked, glancing toward Ned and Ashley, who’s tears had started to slow as he handed her a tissue from a box beside the couch.
“Yeah, we could use Ned’s office. Follow me.”
They started toward the office, but made it no further than five steps before Ashley spoke to them.
“Wait! You’re from the FBI?” she asked, standing up quickly from the couch and wiping her eyes on the tissue in her hand.
“We are, yes,” Mulder said and Scully nodded.
“You’re here about the missing men?”
“Yes.”
“Oh,” she said, sobbing in a breath. “Thank god. My brother… his name is Arthur Harvey and he’s one of the ones who are missing. I don’t know how or why this happened to him.”
“Arthur Harvey. He disappeared a week ago?” Mulder asked and she nodded.
“You know about him?” she asked, looking hopeful.
“Yes. I read about his disappearance.”
“That’s not all that he is, just some man who disappeared,” she said, angrily wiping at her eyes. “He’s my brother and I…” She started crying again and Scully went to her, touching her gently on the back.
“Why don’t you tell us more about him?” she said, smiling kindly at Ashley. She nodded and Scully met Lyle’s eyes, silently asking for his help.
A cup of coffee was cooling as it sat on Ned's desk in front of Ashley. She had cried, using quite a few tissues, before she had been able to speak.
“Arthur and I are twins. He’s older by four minutes and he’s always lorded that over me,” she said with a sad laugh, tracing her finger along the edge of the desk. “He teased me all the time, telling me I had to listen to him, because he was older and wiser.”
Scully smiled and then glanced at Mulder. His eyes softened as he listened to Ashley and smiled as she took a sip of her coffee. She knew he had already warmed to Ashley, seeing Samantha in her and wanting to help in any way he could.
“He disappeared from the cemetery,” Mulder stated and Ashley nodded with a loud sniff.
“We were there-”
“You both were?” Mulder asked, tilting his head slightly.
“Yes, us and about fifteen other people.”
“Okay.”
“We were there at about nine, maybe a little later. I don’t remember exactly. He didn’t really want to go, but…”
“You did,” Scully said quietly and Ashley nodded as she looked down at the table.
“I’d gotten in a fight with my boyfriend and I wanted to forget about him for a little while. Have fun with some friends and just… God, if I had known…”
“But you didn’t,” Mulder said and she raised her head to look at him. He smiled softly and Ashley sniffled again. “It’s not your fault.”
“It feels like it,” she whispered.
“I know,” he whispered back and for what felt like the millionth time, Scully wished she could heal the pain he carried from losing Samantha.
“So what happened at the party?” Scully asked, redirecting the conversation. Ashley glanced at her and then sighed, picking up her cup and taking another sip, before returning it to the desk.
“We were drinking. Some people were…” She looked at Ned, who was sitting silently behind his desk. He nodded and she sighed. “There were drugs being passed around. I don’t… I had a bad trip once and it turned me off to anything aside from pot.”
“What about Arthur?”
“No. He didn’t take drugs. Didn’t really like drinking. He was the old man of the party even though we’re only twenty two. There were older people there, but he just naturally fell into the role of watcher and protector. He always did… does…” Ashley started crying softly and Ned pushed the box of tissues closer to her. She took two and blew her nose as she cried and they waited.
“Two men disappeared that night. Arthur and Brent Hopkins,” Ned said and Mulder and Scully nodded.
“Brent,” Ashley spat out, shaking her head. “I don’t care if you ever find him.”
“Ashley,” Ned admonished.
“I don’t,” she said, staring at him with angry eyes. “This is all his fault.”
“How do you figure?” Mulder asked.
“Because he… he arranged these parties. He provided the alcohol and especially the drugs. He…”
She stopped speaking and they all knew she was thinking what they were thinking. Brent may have provided the entertainment, but they all were willing participants.
Unless they weren't, Scully thought.
“Did Brent force anyone to do anything they didn’t want to do?” Scully asked and Ashley let out a deep breath as she shook her head.
“No. Not ever,” she admitted. “He… he would say that it “enhanced the experience” but he never made anyone take anything they didn’t want. I know it’s not his fault, but…”
“You’re understandably worried about your brother,” Mulder said and she nodded.
“He drank though,” Scully said and Ashley looked at her in confusion. “Arthur, I mean. He was drinking that night.”
“Yeah. Like… maybe a beer or two. Maybe a couple shots. Maybe. He usually only stuck to beer, if he was drinking.”
“When was the last time you saw him?” Mulder asked and she dropped her head back as she closed her eyes.
“Ten thirty? Maybe eleven?” she said, shaking her head as she brought it back up and looked at Mulder. “I was… I was pretty tipsy, having a great time and planning to join the planned seance at midnight. Arthur said he wasn’t going to, but he’d wait for me in the car if I wanted to do that. I… waved him away with a laugh as someone handed me a joint and I took a hit. He shook his head but smiled at me as I started to dance and then I forgot all about him.” She sniffled loudly and dabbed at her eyes as she shook her head. “I went to the car at about two and the door was open, but he wasn’t there. Keys in the ignition, lights on… he was just gone.”
Mulder looked at Scully as she breathed slowly, wondering what would have compelled him to leave the car.
“Maybe he had to pee?” Mulder suggested. “He got out and… got lost?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Agent Scully and I just came from the cemetery. Considering that it was night, it’s plausible that he got lost or he-”
“No,” Ashley said, shaking her head vehemently. “He wouldn’t get lost.”
“He’d been drinking,” Scully said and Ashley frowned as she looked at her.
“What are you saying?”
“Alcohol lessens your cognitive abilities.”
“But he wasn’t drinking much, like I said. He never does. He wouldn’t have had enough to make him abandon the car and disappear. To abandon me.”
“Is it something you drank?” Scully asked and Ashley looked at her in confusion again. “I mean that he drank?”
“What do you mean?” she asked, her tone sharp.
“Could he have been drugged without his knowledge and it made him act out of character?”
“Drugged?”
“Yeah. You said there was quite the selection to choose from.”
“You think… that someone would drug him?”
“I don’t know. But is it possible?”
“I… I don’t think it’s impossible,” Ashley said. “But why would they do that to Arthur? He’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.”
“Because people are assholes,” Mulder said with an edge to his voice. “And they would see drugging him as something funny to do, to see how he reacted under the influence.”
“But that’s… that’s terrible,” Ashley breathed and Mulder nodded as Scully’s cell phone rang. She excused herself and left the room to answer it.
“Scully,” she said, meeting Lyle’s eyes as he smiled from his desk.
“Agent Scully? This is Doctor Huron at Pines Hospital, we met yesterday when you came to check on Peter.”
“Yes, hello,” she said, thinking of the older doctor that had told them of the first victim's condition and plan of care.
“I uh… I think you should get over here.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Yes, surprisingly so,” the doctor said with an incredulous chuckle. “Peter is awake, alert, and talking.”
“Oh, that’s great,” she said, surprised at his quick recovery.
“Yes, it is great news. He asked for food and ate it ravenously,” the doctor said and Scully nodded with a smile. He’s also been incredibly insistent that he speak to your partner, Agent Scully.”
“What?”
“Yeah, says he really needs to speak to him.”
Scully’s stomach dropped as she looked over at Ned’s office and watched Mulder smile at Ashley as he nodded. She let out a deep breath and licked her lips.
“We’ll be there in fifteen minutes,” she said and heard the doctor thank her before saying goodbye and hanging up.
He was in a coma-like state yesterday. Completely unresponsive, she thought as she put her phone back into her pocket and walked back towards Ned’s office. How in the hell did he know to ask for Mulder?

A ramble about our system ^^
We're separated into two layers, Main and No Man's Land. (that's a reference but it's literal)
We were a system of 50+ members, before over 50% of our members went to No Man's Land and lost the ability to front and communicate. Sometimes headmates come back but it's very rare (Sleepy, Techno, some others)
Before the big bad we were known as PlushCoven (miss it sm). We decided sense the big bad happened, we needed a change of name, because PlushCoven had fallen apart, therefore becoming GhostBusters, and I, Juno, GhostieRoastie online.
We currently have 30 members, 31 are registered on PK because of our Blurry/Anon bot.
Each member chooses a favorite color, 3-4 emojis, and ofc, a name and Pronouns. (Assuming they didn't form with a name, but even then they can change it)
Then we do our description. Everyone's is the same because of our OCD and such.
We have One (1) host and Two (2) Co-hosts.
I am the host,
Ciel is next in command, Co-host No. 1
And Ashley is next, Co-host No. 2
We have afew system rules, but the main one is *Ask the Host__s__ (ALL OF THEM!) before telling someone were plural* and it's a general safety precaution. The others are "ask the hosts before spending money" and generally related stuff.
When We were smaller we took turns dressing the body! It was quite fun bit we got quite afew weird looks for changing aesthetics so often. Now, when a newbie (/affectionate) forms, they get to dress the body the next day as a comfort thing.
Same goes for when someone is dysphoric, uncomfy, misses home and/or people etc
Almost Every GhostBuster has a role, but it's not required, just kinda nice to help the hosts out.
Alot of systems assume Hosts/co-hosts don't have other roles but for us, our Host group does the most work! We have a very specific way of operating, headmates deal with the least amount of stress, Hosts the most. Essentially our goal as hosts is to protect our system from the outside terrors. We're essentially the protectors!
But we also have designated protectors besides the hosts. They deal with the worst of the worst and are the only headmates that know of how bad certain stuff is.
Then our caregivers tend to our littles, and our age sliders. Usually that's done in headspace, but when a little is fronted caregivers keep littles from getting into trouble.
Care*takers* tend the body's needs when the host isnt able to, showers, eating, cleaning the room, self care, removing ourselves from bad situations, the basics
We also have outlets and attention seekers!
Outlets let us express certain aspects of ourselves, creativity, fashion, feminine stuff, anger, sadness, and some other things!
Attention seekers are what they sound like. They make sure we get the affection we need, that people around us see us and our needs, make sure we're not ignored, and honestly let us express when we need to be focused on because of certain mental health issues!
That's about it, sorry for the long post TwT

Thoughts on Mass Effect 1
Similar to what I did for Dragon Age, I wanted to summarize my thoughts on another Bioware Trilogy as I completed each game. I just finished the original Mass Effect as part of the legendary edition, so here we are.
The Shepard that I'm dedicating to for this trilogy is Shiv Shepard, a colonist Sole Survivor. She's a sentinel and, over the course of the game (playing as a commander with survivor's guilt and a vow to save as many lives as possible under her command), maxed out the Paragon meter.
Tumblr media
(As you can see I had a little fun with Photo Mode lol)
Major decisions include: sparing the Rachni Queen, sparing the colonists on Feros, sacrificing Ashley, romancing Kaidan, saving the Council, and promoting Captain Anderson as the human councilman. Besides Ashley, all squadmates were recruited and lived.
Full thoughts in a list of pros and cons under the cut:
The Good:
Graphics: Perhaps because this is legendary edition, the graphics were much better than I was expecting, and I could tell it was made on an upgraded engine than Dragon Age Origins. The characters emoted well, or at least the human and asari ones did.
Ammo: One thing I dislike about shooters is ammo management. Having unlimited ammo was nice for a change, and let me free up my attention to learning the abilities instead.
Voice Acting: Jennifer Hale absolutely carries Female Shepard, she makes the character for me. Other voice actors did great as well.
Interplanetary Politics: It did take me some time to get acquainted with the political structure of the game, but once I did I was intrigued by the unique role humans played in it all as relative newbies to the game, and how differently the drive to prove their species worthy to the alien council manifests in different human characters.
Environments: Besides the side mission planets (I'll get into that), the main story locations like the Citadel were beautifully designed, if a little difficult to navigate at first.
The Bad:
Repetitive Side Missions: MY GOD. I wish I could say these didn't ruin the game for me but they kind of ruined the game for me. I didn't mind the side missions on locations like the Citadel or the main story planets, but every other side quest was basically: land on a remote planet that's a copy of every other planet but with different textures. Get your car stuck in some rocks. Find a base. Clear out enemies in the main room. Find an important file/hostage in the back room. Rinse and repeat. After like 30 of those I wanted to pull my hair out. I get that maybe I didn't have to do all of them, but I also didn't want to be wrong and find out later that sidequests would have saved lives or something.
No Party Banter: Hello? Even Dragon Age Origins had this, and honestly, party banter was at least half the reason why I fell in love with those characters. These characters don't talk to each other except when in an elevator, and that makes them all feel rather hollow. None of them seemed to have a relationship/opinion with other characters, or if they did, it was lukewarm at best. I was disappointed.
Romance: The options are limited, for one. I think I would have chosen Kaidan anyway, but I wish Garrus and/or Tali were available. I didn't choose Liara because I wasn't vibing with it, what with feeling like a research subject more than a love interest to her. I figured Kaidan had some great potential in the beginning, but that was squandered when I continued 90% through the game without so much as a flirtatious line. Come on man. I understand this is a military setting and there are regulations but I need that YEARNING you know. That pining and devotion. I need Roy/Riza 2.0 is what I'm saying. I didn't get even a fraction of that and I'm sad about it.
Talk No Jutsuu: Sorry but even with the maxed-out Charm skill and Paragon dialogue options I don't think Shepard would have so easily talked down some of these people. I get that RPGs take liberties with this, hell Dragon Age does it too, but it seems much more glaring an issue in this game. I'll be talking to a homicidal cult leader and because I say "don't do this, this isn't in your heart uwu" he's like oh shit you're right I'll turn myself in. I don't buy it and it takes me out of it.
Glitches: More than even Dragon Age, I ran into a lot of glitches that would make sections nearly unplayable and I would have to restart from a long-past save, which was incredibly frustrating.
The Squad:
Kaidan: I've read that people think Kaidan is boring but I don't think he is. I actually really like that he's a good-natured well-adjusted guy that doesn't have any drama surrounding him, despite the trauma he suffered in his past. He's got layers, and it makes him feel more real to talk to than some of the other teammates, which is why I guess I gravitated to him as a romantic interest. Still would have liked some more romantic lines though.
Ashley: I was not a fan of hers, in the beginning, what with her automatic distrust of all the alien crew. After talking to her some more about her family and motivations, she did start to grow on me, but it wasn't enough to keep me from sacrificing her on Virmire.
Garrus: I can see why he's so popular, he's fun and a good-hearted renegade. With Kaidan, he became my most used teammate simply because I liked his commentary on things. We'll see if I ever decide to romance him though since he felt less like a love interest to me and more like a wily little brother I had to reel in sometimes lol
Tali: Tali my beloved. I love her, she's so sweet and I loved her excitement around technology. I would have romanced her if I could. I don't have much more to say besides I'm excited to see her in future games.
Liara: I am completely neutral on Liara. I liked her well enough but she referred to everything with such a sterile scientific lens that it was hard for me to care about her deeper than that. I'm curious where her character will go though, I know she's important to the franchise overall.
Wrex: I was also rather neutral about Wrex, though I liked his determination to overcome the Krogan disease affecting his people. I just never felt like I had a great reason to bring him along.
Overall I thought Mass Effect was just okay. The villain was serviceable, the plot was followable, and the missions were engaging enough to keep me playing. I'd say the only reason why I stuck it out though was to get to Mass Effect 2, which I hear is much better, and I really hope that's true.
Overall Score: 6/10

Well, Casualty tonight was excellent!! Apart from Faith Cadogan, of course, but that's the norm and I try to pretend she doesn't exist as a character at this point lol.
Jaye Jacobs and Charles Venn absolutely carried the episode, I think - Donna and Jacob are both always highlights of the week for me anyway, but their performances in this one were incredible.
Jacob's phonecall to Billie just about tipped the scales in favour of Jacob's storyline being the best part for me, though Donna's storyline almost won that title. I wasn't expecting Jacob to be as prominent this week as he turned out to be, so I was very pleasantly surprised! Yay for Jacob!!
Jacob continues to be one of the very best portrayals of a trauma survivor I've ever seen in fiction. I thought this ep wove his storyline in wonderfully, and a lot more than I expected it to. I thought he would mostly just get patient storylines and that would be it, so I was so happy they finally went back to discussing his trauma and even more so that they acknowledged his breakup with Billie. The scene where he and Iain were talking about it was fantastic, though it made me sad that he seemed to feel so guilty for how he talked to her. (Not saying it was okay, he definitely shouldn't have done it, but I really do get where it came from in regards to his trauma.)
I'm just... I'm just so glad Jacob exists, okay? I love him so much and he's very important to me. Sorry, I know I say that whenever I talk about him. Also, on that note, I thought the way he got that man to let Iain go was very clever on his part! He was so wonderful and kind all throughout this ep. :)
And I adored the last scene, when he called Billie to say sorry for how he'd treated her. That was just a beautiful scene (the parallel with Charlie's talk with Jacob back in May made it even more so). Jacob admitting and taking accountability for how he acted - that was great. Maybe next he'll even make that therapy appointment! I really hope he can find some healing and support and forgiveness for himself, he deserves it even if he thinks he doesn't. I think this was a positive step for him mentally and emotionally, and I'm glad of that. I hope his mental health/trauma storyline continues to be this good.
Also, I think Billie will be coming back after all, which I'm pleased about! I really like her as a character and she has wonderful chemistry with Jacob. I'm also very happy Jacob is now a fully-fledged paramedic, even if I'm still confused by him doing all the training in such a short space of time.
Charles Venn has really shown yet again why he's worthy of his Inside Soap Award nomination for Best Drama Star this year. Not only that, he'd be more than worthy of a win! :)
I loved Donna's scenes so much, and Jaye Jacobs was brilliant! Seeing Donna's kindness towards Ashley was just so nice. The scene with her and Ashley on the stairs was possibly the best moment of the episode to me (although Jacob's aforementioned phonecall comes so close).
I also think Donna's coming closer to telling the truth, which is good.
And they've aged Mia's character up a bit - Donna said Mia is 19, tonight, when she should be more like 17. That was odd. But I feel like it's going to end up being a Fredrik situation anyway (Holby made Fredrik younger and then reversed it less than a year later) so I'm not too bothered by it.
I hate Faith, and this week gave me even more reasons to. I don't want to waste too much time thinking/talking about her, but I'll just say... you know how I praised Jacob for taking accountability for his actions? Yeah, that stood out not only as a positive step for Jacob, but because it contrasts so massively with Faith - who is doing anything but.
What am I even supposed to say about all this? Faith saw a woman literally suffering from cancer and Faith's apparent only thought was "oh hey, I could tell Stevie I've got the same illness so she feels sorry for me and I can get away with anything!". There's something so awful about her not only lying about being seriously ill, but doing so for such a trivial reason.
I have so much sympathy for Stevie here - she's only recently got away from Marcus, and now she's basically being emotionally abused all over again. I hated seeing Faith gaslight and manipulate her like that.
I hope Stevie figures out what's going on and ends her friendship with Faith for good. Then Stevie can go be friends with Dylan instead. They could be like the Henrik/Jac friendship equivalent for Casualty.
Cameron being fed up with Ryan was nice, in part because I am also fed up with Ryan. Having said that...
I really liked the scenes with Ryan and his patient (did they ever say what his name was? I have to assume they did, but I didn't hear it). Those were cool, and I always love some good disability representation from Casualty!
Are Jodie and Cam going to get together? Only time will tell, but I'm curious now. On that note, I would've liked more Max and Jodie scenes this week.
So yeah, tonight was a good one for Casualty, and I'm thrilled about a potential Jacob/Billie reunion! Yay!

how do you come up with the names for your OCs in detroit 07? You have so many good fleshed-out characters and I’m just curious how they become a character :D
Thank you! I love creating new characters for Detroit 07.
When I brainstorm for names for these characters, I either have names that I already like floating around in my head just waiting to be assigned to a character (like Ogden, Gwen, Apollo, and Zeke) or I do some haphazard googling to find names with meanings that would suit a character that I already have in mind (like Coda, Nova, Calder).
I agonized over what to name Coda and Calder. I had entirely different non-C names in the wings for both of them forever until it came time to actually name them. 'Coda' had a nice sound to it, and I like the connection of it to music and the Comfort Algorithm. I knew I wanted Sixty's name to be abrasive or to have an abrasive meaning. 'Calder' just works so well for him I think.
I do have some names that I put in there for giggles, like my only two PC200s are Apollo and Zeke (I wanted to use the first and last letters of the alphabet, since their personalities are so opposite of each other). Any firefighter androids that I've made have fire-related pun names: Ember, Ashley, Cindy (because I'm hilarious). And before I realized how deep of a character she was going to be, I liked the "Penny Nichols" pun of Penny's name. Pretty sure early on she even jokes that she has a sister named Kash.
'Ogden' I literally got off a street sign during a long drive somewhere. 'Oswin' came from Doctor Who, although my character Oswin has nothing else in common with that, I just liked the sound of it. 'Nova' just sounded so ethereal that that's what I had to name the first non-Cyberlife android.
'Julia' is kind of a play on Juliet, since I knew she was going to be Connor's love interest in some capacity. And I like the nickname 'Jules.'
'Polly' and 'Bonny' are just really cute names, and I knew Polly was going to be a ray of sunshine and Bonny was going to be a bubbly little friend in Connor's life.
Something about the magnificent RK900 named Coda being best friends with a lumberjack of a man named 'Bert' was too charming to pass up.
Not gonna lie, I'm a little sad sometimes that I gave such a bomb ass name like 'Hiram Kess' to a background character who shows up only once in a blue moon XD And 'Kevin' is such a wonderfully average name to give a Celine Dion-obsessed eccentric technician.
So yeah. I am a very sophisticated writer with very sophisticated methods of naming my characters.
