So apparently Pokémon Presents told us we’re getting a new Legends game based in Kalos, rather than anything about Gen 5 remakes

And you know honestly, I’m cool with that, I think I prefer that. Kalos got barely any attention even in its own generation, not even getting a rerelease/sequel, which all the generations before and even the one after it got (Gen 8 and 9 didn’t get that, but they got DLC which basically acts as an addition to the story, which still applies here). Not to mention we know Kalos has lore from ancient times, and we’re probably gonna see it now in this game, which is really cool

Like yeah, I’m pretty sure Kalos isn’t seen as one of the best regions, but it’s finally getting more attention from Game Freak, and I’m happy to see that

Also I think BDSP has shattered my faith in Pokémon remakes, so I’m kind of glad Gen 5 isn’t getting one. They’ll probably save it for Gen 10 if we’re being honest

Edit: wait I just looked at more info (I didn’t see the Presents, I had class, but I just saw the news), this might take place in a futuristic Kalos? I don’t really know, but just then take what I predict about it with a grain of salt

the two biggest things i want from plza are the kalos starters to finally get the mega evos they deserve and, assuming that the game doesn't take place in the past or far future, for emma to be a major character in the plot. it'd also be nice if we got a new eeveelution, but that's a little less important to me personally.

okay i may sound a little bit conspiratorial but hear me out. i was reading up on what people are speculating the next pokemon games will be and here's my carefully crafted opinion: pokemon Z (or something else kalos-related) is on the table. xerneas and yveltal being the only box legendaries that are unobtainable and un-transferable into SV as of the indigo disk is just too strange to not be significant somehow. it seems at first glance that a unova or johto game is more likely, but right now, this limbo period in-between consoles, is always when GF does something extra unexpected. here's how pokemon Z can still win and i really mean it this time!!!

#that said it is certainly possible they were excluded because their abilities combined with terastallizing would break competitive. lol #realistically i do think unova or johto are more likely choices to do something with. #i didn't touch on spinoffs but that seems quite reasonable to expect too. new PMD? #anyway it's just fun to theorize. at the end of the day i hope the unexpected thing they do is take a fucking break❤️ #ALSO i didn't even mention how cool i think a legends kalos would be. we could meet AZ 3000 years ago.... #linatxt

Okay i havent seen the trailer yet but im glad that my random guess of "if they make another legends game itll be kalos" was right and im hoping its good because kalos needs an Actually Good Game (before anyone gets on my ass i Loved xy. thats not the same as me thinking it was particularly good especially compared to much of the rest of the series)

I love unova. but I wasn’t sure what they’d do with it that would feel right #also I was 100% expecting johto either let’s go johto or legends celebi bc SO MUCH johto in that presents. Okay since the announcement of legend Z-A I decided to play X again bc it's been like ✨10 years✨ since I played it (and by that I mean, I was a baby pkmn player and couldn't beat the gyms so my sister played it for me so I don't know or remember the plot)

But anyways, I was looking up when you get certain mega stones so I could figure out what I want my team to be and tell me why MOST OF THE STONES ARE POST GAME????
