Aegislash, Doublade and Honedge can sometimes be observed “hibernating” underground
These Pokémon will seek out and repurpose old Diggersby dens located near graveyards. These dens are well hidden, with only Aegislash’s shield being visible from the outside. They use these durable shields to block the entrance and will hold this position until they are ready to emerge, often several weeks later.
Though the purpose of this behaviour is not yet fully understood, the close proximity to graveyards have led researchers to suggest it may be a sort of nesting ritual. This theory claims that newly hatched Honedge spend their first few weeks in a dormant state while absorbing nearby spiritual energy. This may help nurture their spectral powers.
It is recommended that all graveyards regularly check surrounding areas for signs of these burrows.
Attempts to access the burrow, remove the shield or otherwise disturb the Pokémon inside is highly discouraged.

In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you should be able to go into the sewers. And there should be just some guy who goes on and on and on about the history of Lumiose's sewer system. I just think it'd be funny.

I wonder if our Noble Pokemon equivalent will be rampaging Mega Evolution Pokemon instead, maybe some references to just how corruptive/dangerous the effects are on the Pokemon, and for the human who would have to face them head-on?
(Also, if we'll get more jfc-inducing Mega Dex entries for them like we did in the Sun and Moon era.)

ik im a big johto/unova lover (THAT goes without saying) and feel more nostalgia for unova rather than kalos (i grew up on the B&W anime before ever getting pokemon x) but im actually really glad theyre making legends z-a rather than a johto/unova remake or legends title.
legends z-a is coming out on its own, unlike legends arceus, which means gamefreak can put most of their focus on that
they arent trying to release it within a year. i hope they keep this up, because if we ever DO get those aforementioned titles i NEED them to be good. i NEED them to stay in the oven a lot longer

Love the detail about Pokémon Legends Z-A being released simultaneously when XY was the first Pokémon game to be released simultaneously back in 2013 🥹🥹

Had an idea for a Pokemon Legends ZA character I couldnt stop thinking about while trying to sleep last night
Basically they're an engineer/inventor type with their own little house you can go into. On a table and tacked to the walls are diagrams for all sorts of strange contraptions. There are wooden wheels and handle like pieces strewn about as well. You talk to this person and they tell you about their time in a nearby region and how over there they use a pokemon to get around and how its inspired their newest invention.
They're just so busy working on different prototypes for their invention that they ask you the player to run a couple errands for them. Idk what sort of errands but I imagine there's like three of em. After each you go speak to them to get the next one and they thank you and update you on the topsy turvy production process, they're a bit scatterbrained. They mention they keep getting distracted by side projects. After theyre done talking you can interact with them again and they'll just repeat these three comments like they're talking to themself:
"maybe more than two wheels would help with the balance...?"
"Should I calculate footsize into the shape of this part?"
"Some sort of braking mechanism might be important..."
Anyways I like the idea that the player is set up into thinking they're gonna get a bike only for the Character to say theres still some work needed on that invention actually but to thank you for helping here's the protoype for a Different invention they made while distracted that they want you to have/test out for them.
Its rollerskates

for legends z-a they need to raise the accuracy of the move guillotine to like 90%. or at least either for gen 6 mons or against pokémon with like nobility or royalty to their vibe. i don’t care about game balance btw

imagine. pokemon legends z-a comes out. it takes place in the past, around the same time as legends arceus.
in the middle of the game, you meet emmet, who's uh... i guess helping with the city development stuff, since that's the only plot detail we know so far. he's in a similar state to ingo - maybe with better fashion, since he's in paris france and not the wilds of hokkaido. he's lost his memory, too. this, like in legends arceus, is not resolved.
a few years pass. gamefreak announces pokemon legends: kyurem or pokemon legends: harmonia or pokemon legends: new york or whatever they decide to call it. it takes place, of course, in a developing unova.
and in the middle of that game, you learn of two people who recently arrived in the region, believing they came from there and searching for answers,
and also a person they can't quite remember.
