Just a quick analysis:

When we get the flashback of Keith outside of the garrison office after the fight scene we get this dialogue:

It’s interesting because Keith isn’t inherently referring to his home (as in “you can just take me back home already” suspension) he referres to it as THE home, as in “you can just take me back to the orphanage” because as we know Texas (that’s what I’m calling Keith’s dad) died, Krolia left and Keith had no one else to take care of him.

Child protective services might have showed up at Keith’s home and might have taken him (if he didn’t decided to do it himself) to an orphanage where he might have met Shiro.

Now the next thing I want to address is this:

The context for me is unclear but I believe the woman is referring to Keith being within the garrison, I was a bit perplexed at the use of the word “vouch” though so I decided to search the meaning

Now it might be weird because it doesn’t seem to link within the meaning of the sentence but I believe the script writers were aming to use a synonym of the word and I believe what best goes with it are the synonyms: support, validate and stick up for.

I believe Shiro went into an orphanage saw Keith and thought “I want to support that kid and watch him grow, he has potential” so what was the next move?

Adopting him

Shiro adopted Keith and took him under his wing, he was the only father figure left to Keith after his father died and his mother left, that’s why Keith is so smitten towards Shiro, he is his sibling, not by blood but by law. And by heart.

With this I strongly believe broganes or dad Shiro is canon.

Reasons I don’t ship Sheith

(Look I don’t care who you ship; ship who ever you want. Just don’t be toxic.)

1. SHIRO WAS 25 IN SEASON ONE, KEITH WAS 18.

2. Keith has said it himself: Shiro is like an older brother to him.

3. Shiro was already in a relationship and is still mourning over the loss of his partner.

4. Keith was probably 12-13 when he met Shiro at the Garrison. Shiro would’ve been 18-19.

I like the art but the ships just not logical in my opinion.

Why do antis genuinely think ships in Voltron (a cartoon that isn't even very popular outside of Tumblr and stuff) are going to harm a real child. Children now a days use their phones, and on the Apple Store and Play Store, Tumblr is rated 17+. For the desktop version, and in the EU you have to be 16+. In other words, kids shouldn't even be on tumblr because of all the mature things on here. Tumblr isn't even that popular of a website to begin with.

And even if these kids are 13+, do antis really think they're going to let a cartoon influence their love life? When I was 7, I had a crush on Kakashi from Naruto and Inuyasha from Inuyasha. 7 is way more of an impressionable age, and I wanted to marry them (cringey when I think back on it, but I was 7 so it's excuseable). Was I influeneced to date some guy more than twice my age? No, because I was smarter than that even at 7. If some old guy, creepy or nice,came up to me I would know not to interact with them. If your parents teach you about stranger danger, then the kids should know not to interact with older men if they are alone.

Is it the internet's responsibility to raise these kids who are actually suppose to be 13+ in the U.S (or 17+ by Google Play and the Apple Store) and 16+ according to the EU? No. Their parents should be monitoring what their child consumes on the internet, at least to a certain extent.

And even so, Sheith is one of the least "problematic" ships in...well, anything. They are two consenting adults, in the context of shipping them.

If Antis really want to see problematic, please be directed to the Loud House tag (featuring very disgusting, actual incest porn of underaged kids from a Nickelodeon cartoon airing on TV). Some of the people in that tag are so disgusting...but i hardly see backlash against them. And I'm sure the Loud House is more popular amongst kids than Voltron (my neices and nephews watch it, but not Voltron)

Why do I see so many people wanting to make their own Voltron show?

Like sure you do you but good luck buying the show from dreamworks, since dreamworks currently hold all legal papers for any form of Voltron, comic, webcomic, animated show, live action show, Toys you name it, they have the rights to it, now if you were to go try make your own let’s say, animated version of voltron and try to release it to the public (like more than just private use; meaning your eyes only) they would sue the shit out of you, cause they hold the rights, now you could buy the rights to Voltron, but that would be expensive as hell, since dreamworks knows how many showings each season have had, more showings = more expensive for you to buy, I’m saying good luck to y’all, and try not to get into legal troubles
