I don’t seek to be negative then it’s Finn and I’m in.

1. Outing Santana

Inexcusably horrific. Everyone about it. The fact that he did it, the way he proved he learned nothing from Theatrically, the entirety of IKAG being about himself, (down to the reason why he cares about her; because she was his first even though she’s gay and clearly that couldn’t have been and enjoyable experience for her), the things that he chose to say, public or not. She’s a cruel bully and not just telling it how it is, she can dish it out but can’t take it in, valid things to throw in her face, not she’s scared her gf doesn’t love her and she’s a coward for not coming out. Nope. This is when I did the 180 and accepted that Finn was not good.

2. Assaulting Quinn at Prom

The girl is not obligated to tell you she can walk (1) step with assistance, and even if she was you absolutely do not pull her out of her wheelchair and potentially damage her further! What the hell? ‘YoU’Re sTIlL tHE sAMe PERson-’ yeah the girl who went through a teenage pregnancy, got kicked out, paralysed and more wants a plastic crown at a high school dance. So cruel 🙄.

3. Beating up Brody

Gah, out of every way to handle this scenario, this was the appropriate way??? No! Tell Rachel, give Santana advice on how to (appropriately) handle the situation, maybe lecture him for putting Rachel at risk of STD’s, not beat him up for being a sex worker!!! Also additional mini rant but Santana was so fucked up for the way she went about this and I love San and Pezberry but Rachel should’ve slapped and kicked her ass out again.

4. Calling Robin a slur

Yay! What do we love? Blatant regression, from the guy who specifically said he wouldn’t and even seemed shocked by the idea of using that word! We also love only apologising for forgiveness and retracting that apology right afterwards! Screw that mother for being upset you called her baby a slur! Woo hoo!

5. Getting Quinn kicked out

Nope. Nopity nope nope nope. I though S1 Finn was great when I started watching and this always made me shocked. Fuck everyone except Quinn in this episode. Fuck Kurt, Fuck Quinn’s parents, Fuck Quinn’s dad especially, Fuck Finn Hudson.

Yeah. Yikes. Ballad is an appalling watch for me because it focuses more on Finn and Kurt than it does on Quinn. In general I have no problems with Kurt's more cunning and manipulative tendencies but when it comes to indirectly hurting Quinn I am most definitely not on his side.

omg anon I do not have the time to break down to you in aLL the ways kurt is a terrible boyfriend. i live in a dalton!blaine supremacy and i honestly think his character development would have been a lot better if he never would have left dalton. i actually thought that klaine was an 'okay' relationship in the beginning? but then I think that kurt's character progressively gets worse and he more often treats blaine less like a boyfriend and more like an accessory :) i'm not sure i have time to site my essay of examples but i've written about this a lot in the past years slkdfjlsdk sorry i can easily get into a rant about this lmao

When do you think they acted the most ooc?

A lot of s6 Kurt’s behaviour really screamed “the writers don’t know what to do with me or my relationship at this point so theyre gonna make me do a 180” for me. I mean Kurt definitely didn’t go as ooc as some of the others but I think I could still argue there was a big leap in how he was written in s5 to how he was written in s6.

Oh also his the writer’s random bout of biphobia in s2 unprovoked?? Uncalled for??? Unnecessary????

When do you think they were being "themselves" the most?

I guess Kurt’s coming out scenes would be classed as when he was being the most ‘himself’? Or I think it could be any of the scenes where you can see this boys really going through it™ And he’s not hiding it.

But If I were gonna suggest a scene to a person who’s never seen glee before to sum up his character in one scene, it’d be the scene between him and Karofsky in 3x14, I think it perfectly presents every reason I love his character.

The funniest scene they had?

This dude was so funny, and Chris had such a good delivery. I think my favourite random line from him was “Blaine I sang you a song to express my regrets!!!”

not to be controversial but i got something to say!!!

i don’t think it was wrong for kurt to have had crushes on sam and finn (aka crushes in straight guys). there’s this weird thing that people (mostly on other social media spaces) that criminalize kurt for having a crush. and i could go into how people don’t have the same sentiment when blaine had a crush on sam, but that’s not what this is about so i won’t discuss it here.

kurt was a teenager who wanted to be desired the way that everyone else at his school was. him having a crush on a straight guy who was kinda nice to him is no different than if a girl had done the same thing.

i think this goes especially so in the case for finn. yeah, we can discuss all day about how he was “going way too far” with it, sure. but in a universe when every single main character has done something kinda egregious, i feel like that point loses its weight. the show shined a light heavily on how finn was uncomfortable with it, which is honestly more of a problem with finn than kurt in that regard (s1 and s2 finn had a homophobia streak like lets be kinda honest here). but bc finn was our main character, we were sort of supposed to sympathize with his discomfort. but in doing so, it causes a less media literate viewer to villainize kurt in the process

Kurt the best boyfriend? Seriously?

Certainly not to anyone but Blaine. And he was pretty awful to Blaine at times too.

I’m not saying he was a great boyfriend, definitely. He had some crappy moments, but out of all the OG guys I think he’d be the best. The next contender is Mike, but we didn’t see enough of him to know.

He had two relationships outside of Klaine: Adam and Walter. Adam I’d kinda agree, but I don’t really remember him treating Walter badly. And within Klaine, as said previously he did shitty things, but overall I think they were fine.

I will forever be angry that they replaced Kurtcedes with Hummelberry. Mercedes was the first person Kurt came out to and the first one to support him. They weren't the IT bffs of seasons 1&2 for the writers to ignore that. Especially because Rachel wasn't a good friend to him.

I mean she wasn't really a good friend to anyone (except Blaine and sometimes Quinn), but for Kurt it feels worse. They were fine in season 2, but from seasons 3+ it felt like a straight white woman treating her "gay best friend" as an accessory. She was especially awful to him when they lived together, always dismissing him and talking down to him. The Kurt Hummel I knew never would have agreed to be her roommate, he couldn't stand her ass in season 1 and even though they were friends in season 2, she still annoyed tf outta him.

She was awful to everyone in season 5- Santana, Carmen, her coworkers, etc.- but Kurt really got the brunt of it. One thing I hate is that they took away his backbone. This was the kid who stood up for himself against Karofsky, someone 3x his size, even after being assaulted and threatened. Having him put up with Rachel's bullshit?? No way.

Santana and Mercedes had such a good relationship. Santana getting stuck with Rachel and Kurt made no sense. I would have much rather watched Santana make her own way. She didn't get to do much, it felt like the writers only kept her there for Rachel's benefit, not her own.

(Sending Brittany to New York would have been way funnier. She would have driven Rachel and Kurt crazy. I would have preferred that over her staying behind in season 4, that made no sense. How did she get to senior year if she never went to class??)

To be fair about Samchel, that's just Sam being a hoe. He's the only one who's dated the entire Unholy Trinity (Puck slept with them, but didn't date them) and he's dated every one of the original ND girls except Tina (Tina stays losing gg)
