J2 Main Panel Charlotte 2023

I put this psa in the post for the Gold panel but I know some see one post and not the other so before we get into this panel quick psa that this con took place while the actor's union, SAG-AFTRA, is on strike. This means the boys cannot directly name any past, present, or future projects. For the sake of clarity I will be mentioning projects the boys are referring to by name but please be aware that the boys themselves did not do that they complied with strike regulations.

They had date nights! Jared said that they got to walk around a little bit on this day, as well as on Saturday and Friday they got some dinner ❤️

Jensen says he has some stories to share, and before the questions start he tells one of them; a few months ago D went to a charity auction thing in Austin, and she bid on a race car experience at the Circuit of the Americas track where he would get to ride shotgun in an actual racecar and get driven around the track a couple of times. As well as get to drive an exotic car himself around the track. She gave this to him as a gift, and at first he thought it sounded fun except when he asked her when it was she told him it was at 7am on a Saturday so he was not happy. He asked her if they (she and the kids) were gonna go and watch him and she replied no they were gonna sleep so he was like whatever, he got up super early, went to the track and he's looking around and the people at the track go over everything, they tell him to go downstairs to see who his driver will be and then he can meet them out on the track. He goes and looks at the chart and at first he thinks what he's reading is a joke but it wasn't his car was pink with a rainbow unicorn on the hood, and they name their cars, his was called sparkles glitter hooves which it had written on the side.

So he meets the nice lady who's gonna be driving him and he could tell she didn't want to be there that early either but she runs him through the whole thing, he gets in the car it was a big race car a McLaren, and they get to the track and take off do a few turns and they're not going that fast but he thinks maybe she's just warming up. They get to a section of track that's a straightway, it's over a mile long he thinks this is when she's gonna pick up speed, and she tried but the car was not accelerating like it's supposed to they got to about 50 mph and she tells him that something's wrong with the car and he's like "you think?" by that point they were already pretty far into the track so they have to limp back cause there's like engine failure. They roll in and she does offer to find him another driver but he says not to worry about it that it's okay thanks, gets in his car and goes home. Like an hour and a half later he gets a text saying his car was ready to get driven around and he deleted it, it was not a grand experience and he wishes he had just stayed in bed. Poor Jensen 🏎️

I do find it cute, however, that Jared says that if someone knows somebody who can take Jensen around the Charlotte motor speedway to leave them a card and show him some speed.

Question time!

Do they have a story about an embarrassing or ridiculous injury?

Jared says all of his injuries are ridiculous and embarrassing. For example he ripped his pants on camera for all to see once; also he pulls his back a lot and not doing really cool things like deadlifts or saving his children from a bus but by bending over and picking up a pair of socks in the morning. It literally happened one time when filming SPN (he says when working together on something in Canada) he got to work and said he pulled his back out that morning and Jensen asked him if it was from working out too early. And he told him no, that it was from grabbing some socks from his suitcase. And Jensen was like "grabbing some sock? were they lead socks?" and Jared replied like "no, they were regular socks they had some holes so they were lighter than usual." 😂 That and also tweaking his neck when drying his hair when it was luscious.

Jensen says he hurt his hand the other day while he was putting some stuff away in a hall closet. It's one of those closets that has double doors but the hinges are really tight so you have to shut them both together otherwise it won't close and as he was doing so he pushed on the seem and it pinched his palm and it was so hard that he yanked out his hand and left part of his palm in the door. And you can still see where his palm got pinched.

Related to that a few days ago he walked into his daughter's room and she heard him coming and was running away from the door but slipped and fell and when he opened the door she was on the ground and he asked her if she had fallen but she was like no but it was obvious that she had cause she was rubbing her elbow and her hip so he told her he thought she did and asked if she wanted him to hold her so he gave her a hug, flashforward to when this happened to his palm and he hears behind him "do you want me to hold you?"

He told her no and that he needed for her to go to mommy for some gauze and tape but they didn't have any then he remembered that when he had been going through a box of stuff he had seen a post-production s8 gift from Phil Sgriccia who would send them funny gifts and it was a little survival kit pouch so he figured it would have some bandages he could use till he could go to the store but it was salt, matches and a little thing of Holy Water.

Jared makes a dad joke about how this is why he leaves his doors slightly open so it's not longer a door it's a jar. That's actually pretty clever, that got a chuckle out of me. x

Keegan is there and Jensen asks him if he puts up with those jokes, he replies yes but that they're great....and that Jared's also his boss and he's the most amazing guy ever 😂

Keegan, asks a question, in the last year what have they done in their life that made it 10% better?

Jensen answers make the bed first thing in the morning. He didn't use to do that, he would maybe get around to it, sometimes he wouldn't go back to the bedroom until the afternoon and see it still unmade so now he gets up and makes the bed. Then I guess he remembers he's supposed to be married and he adds he has to kick his wife out of the bed first and then make the bed.

Jared quips that he's tried to get rid of some of his perfectionist inclines so one of the things he likes to do is not worry about whether or not his bed is made but seriously, he will not get on his phone when he's on his bed even if he wants to return a text message he won't do it on the bed, he will force himself to get out of it, and then reply. Jensen demonstrates what this would look like 😆

Jared says that truth be told he had the problem of if it was the middle of the night and he woke up and looked at his phone to check the time he would basically end up mindless scrolling, he would check the news, he would check ESPN, he would be more awake so he would go to youtube and then an hour would pass so if it's not important enough for him to leave the bed to do it then he just leaves his phone on the nightstand. x

If they were forced would they rather have the other's face for a butt or their butt for a face?

Jared saysJensen's butt grows better facial hair than his face and Jensen asks him how he would know that and Jared freezes and literally goes "do I answer that?" No need to Jared, we know 😏

So he goes for Jensen's butt for a face and says he could shave something to make it funny or like a heart. A heart, Jared? You want to have Jensen's ass as your face and shave a little heart on it?

Jensen answers Jared's face for a butt cause he could cover it up with a pair fo pants and Jared says they better be see-through pants otherwise he'd be wasting a damn fine ass. Without missing a beat, Jensen goes "Jared, I don't know if you know this I already have a damn fine ass." Jensen we have established Jared knows a lot about your damn fine ass. 😉

Next question is mostly for Jared but Jensen can feel free to answer: when picking a spatula what is his preference wood, metal, plastic or rubber, and why?

He says you gotta go wood because you can control the whip a little better. That when you're making an omelette sometimes it gets a little aggressive and flings a bit too much- at this point Jensen cuts in and asks him when he's ever made an omelette and Jared jokingly says on an online game from his phone.

Anywyas, Jensen says you don't do wood because you have to hand wash it, and you don't go metal either cause that'll scratch up your pan, you want a hard plastic they're dishwasher safe and not mess up your pan. x

What's their favorite inexpensive brand for whiskey or bourbon?

Jensen says Four Roses makes a pretty good inexpensive whiskey. Jared agrees and also mentions what I think is Diageo - I listened to the clip a bunch of times but it's difficult for me to understand what he says - which is actually a company that owns a large amount of the brands. Jared also says he used to prefer scotch to bourbon but now he prefers bourbon to scotch he thinks he likes a little bit of that sweetness these days.

Jared asks the fan which they like and the fan answers Jack Daniels. Jensen mentions that Jack Daniels is the only brand Robert Singer drinks. x

Any advice for senior year and life in general?

Jensen says he'll give senior year advice and Jared will give the life advice. Senior year advice do as much as you can, sign up for a different club, go play a different sport, try a different instrument whatever it is you're into do as much of it as possible because this is it. You're not gonna have High School again, part of the reason he's on that stage today is because he did just that, in his senior year he was playing baseball but he left the team early to do a play. If he had just stuck with what he had been doing the past couple of years he probably wouldn't have gotten on a stage and been "discovered" so try to do as much as you can and try to get as much as you can out of the year, you'll most likely be glad that you did.

Jared's life advice is similar, he says kinda do what Jensen said for the rest of your life. He remembers when he was a senior something was so scary about it because it was the finale of him knowing what to do with his life but the day after you graduate you wake up and you'll still be you and see there's something else for you to do so don't get overwhelmed by the seeming closure and finale of it just remember this is just a year in your life and if you're as fortunate as they were able to be where High School was four years of their 40-something year lives, you have your next 4 year growth cycle, your next 2 year growth cycle so this is just part of your life. Your life is not about to end it's about to begin. There's something strange and really scary but it should be scary if you feel some fear or trepidation about school being over that's okay but a year from now you're going to be in your next phase of your life. Somethings might look different especially if you follow as Jensen says and keep expanding your horizons, a lot of things will look the same but you'll still be you so keep your eyes on the future. x

If they were Earth embassadors to aliens what would they tell them, and what would they show them?

After joking around about face/butt, Jared says he thinks he would have more questions to ask than answers to give. He would probably try and communicate they mean them no harm, and he thinks he would show them a young child, be like we mean you no harm, and look how cool life can be- Jensen says here take this one, it's okay I got two more, and Jared says I have three that you can have 🤣

But no, he thinks becoming a parent is such a cool promise like seeing a baby or seeing a young child and thinking they have their whole life in front of them, they're gonna be going to their senior year, they're gonna fall in love, maybe they'll have kids of their own it's how wonderful life can be down here so please don't destroy us.

Jensen concurs that showing them the best part of humanity probably the smart way of doing things. x

If they could choose anywhere to live other than where they grew up, or where they live now where would it be?

Jared replies he has a soft spot for Italy. He loves Italy so if he were to choose somewhere international it would be there, if he was gonna choose somewhere in the states he really likes the mountains a lot. Someone in the crowd shouts Virginia and he says Virginia is awesome. Jensen asks if just mountains, and Jared replies yeah, and then gives as an example Sun Valley in Idaho where he got married, says G's family still lives there and they go visit. He says the older he becomes the less he can deal with the 100 degree hot weather in the city so somewhere cooler. He likes North Carolina too, they have a friend who lives in town and he has a place about 20 mins away from where the con is taking place and it's great no bugs, no sweat, beautiful. The crowd is shocked by the no bugs comment, and Jared says he didn't have any bugs do they have bugs and the crowd collectively says yes so he says he doesn't like Nort Carolina that much, he likes it less now 😂

Jensen doesn't know, he says he thinks he's pretty happy where he is.

Interesting answer coming from you at this period if time sir, where exactly is it that you're happy cause door was wide open to mention Connecticut and yet.....x

The next fan is from London and y'all know Jared had to do some accents, I laughed so hard with "Wales" accent 🤣🐳

Is there a book that they have recently re-read, or a book that they have connected to so much that they would want to re-read it?

Jared says his oldest son is entering the 6th grade so he is reading some more advanced books that Jared too would enjoy compared to the stuff from kindergarden or 1st grade. For example he just read Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief and this year in his curriculum is The Outsiders which Jared hasn't read since before getting to know and become friends with S. E. Hinton, and he actually reached out to her to say hey and told her his kid would be reading the Outsiders for school and she replied to let him know the school and she'd send over a signed copy. So he's excited to re-read that its been a while, he did not read Percy Jackson with his kid but he would discuss the book with him. And that's part of his summer homework to read the book and be able to tell not just what happens in the story but also what it parallels to and themes it explores, but he's really exited to read the Outsiders again.

Jensen says he's not much of a reader but D is an avid reader and a book he sees her pick up again and again is A Confederacy of Dunces. x

When will fans get to meet the two luckiest women in the world, their wives? 🙄

Jensen says the wives might disagree with the fan calling them the luckiest women. He says he thinks they would do a con but that he thinks they find it kind of like it's the boys thing and they don't want to encroach. Jared adds that furthermore and he's pretty sure Jensen feels the same, and he says it sometimes kind of like a joke but he also means it who's gonna watch the kids? That he and G do trips just themselves but they'll try as best as they can to have one of the parents around just be a tether for the kids as best they can. That it's just hard to know that far in advance for them to plan. Doing cons is something he and Jensen love doing and the wives can hold down the fort. x

I am more than happy about the wives not doing CE cons but these are such obvious lies. Both D and G have done cons with the boys before so they clearly don't think of doing cons as the boys thing, G was even a last minute guest at JIB. The whole "who's gonna watch the kids thing?" for starters sir we all know you got nannies and even if you didn't you can afford one but more than that that question and the whole wanting one parent to be around thing has not been an impediment in G attending non-CE cons with him. Including in Europe. But really the most hilarious part is Jared saying that it's hard for the wives to know that far in advance for them to plan when, two recent examples, FanX isn't till September yet G had already signed up for it in July and if you're thinking that's just two months in advance Infinity con in Germany is in May 2024 and she was announced as a guest earlier this month.

Instead of lying and coming up with cheap excuses these men need to grow a pair and admit they don't actually want the wives at CE cons.

Last question, what was their favorite video game growing up?

Jared says if the aliens came to Earth and said they were gonna mess humanity up unless one of the Earthlings can beat them in a video game he would be like okay and say Smash Brothers for Nintendo '64. Jensen says Golden Eye. Jensen also brings up the theory that Mario's cathphrase "It's me, Mario" is actually him saying itsumi in Japanese which means super so what he's saying is super Mario, and he does say he doesn't know if that's true or not it's something he saw online. It's not! It was something that made the rounds on tiktok but it's not legit, it's actually a form of a dad joke. Itsumi is not even a word in Japanese it's a surname.

What Jared says about Mario being named after Nintendo's landlord is partially true, they didn't do it because he let them live somewhere for free, they did it because the employees at the warehouse which is what he was renting to the company thought he resembled Mario so they nicknamed the character Mario and then the creator Miyamoto found out about it and he liked it so he decided to make it the official name. Real Mario's name was Mario Segale.

You know what’s telling? Gen just silently liked Jared’s post and didn’t say anything back. I just can’t wrap my head around why a loving wife would just let her husband publicly shit on himself and not respond with compliments in return. It almost seems like she likes being treated like she’s above Jared and he’s inferior.

exactly. i always hate it when this putting himself down pattern comes up again to out her on a pedestal and it's so telling and quite sad that she never does anything to rein it in or stop it.

The frog kween has birthday and Jared is celebrating her, by putting himself down as much as he can.

To my surprise were there quite a few fans who finally got sick about that toxic procedure and simply called it out^^

Things To Know

I’ve gotten a handful of new followers, so I wanted to clear some things up about me and this blog. Hopefully this will explain everything that I’ve been asked about and may be asked about in the future! 

This blog is only an “anti” Supernatural/Supernatural cast blog.

Nope. Originally, I started this blog as a place for me to vent about fandom related topics in more fandoms than just Supernatural. While most of the posts her are Supernatural related, I will be venting about other things as well.

“You used to be a Danneel/Genevieve/Misha/whoever fan so you’re a hypocrite!”

Yes, I used to be a big fan of Danneel and Genevieve! Hell, Gen was my woman crush Wednesday at one point. I’m not a hypocrite because I learned just how vile these two women are and decided to stop praising them and being a fan of them. Are you a hypocrite for not watching Barney anymore? Didn’t think so.

“You’re not a real fan because you post hate about Jensen/Jared/Misha!”

I can still be a fan of someone and not agree with their actions. I can be a fan of someone and call them out on their bullshit. I used to love all three guys, but as the years went on I saw Misha’s true colors and sort of outgrew him. As for Jensen and Jared, I want to still be their fans, but they have done some questionable things over the years and continue to be complicit in things that I think they should be speaking out against. I’m kinda iffy, but still consider myself a fan of them.

I condone bullying J2, Misha, the wives, or anyone else mentioned on this blog in comments or in DMs on their social media!

Nope. I do not condone going to their pages just to be rude. If you make a civil, politely put comment, go for it. I don’t condone going to their pages just to be rude, call them names, etc. Constructive criticism is okay, outright bullying is not. 

“If (person) donates, you say they’re bragging, if they don’t donate, you want receipts. You’re a hypocrite!”

I’m a pretty firm believer that if you’re doing good works, you don’t need to broadcast them. However, when these people beg their followers to donate to causes that they themselves won’t even throw money towards, I call it like I see it. If you’re going to ask your followers to donate to something, practice what you preach. Also, if you’re going to post about your good deeds and show just how great you are by donating so much to something *cough*Gen and D*cough* then back it up. It’s not that hard.

“You’re just jealous that you’re not with X,Y, or Z!” 

Again, nope. I see a lot of Gen and D fans talking about how antis are just jealous and want to be married to Jensen and Jared. Don’t get me wrong, they’re attractive dudes, but I wouldn’t wanna be married to them. Why would I want to be married to two people who don’t have the balls to stand up for themselves? Why would I wanna be with someone who blatantly favors one child over the other? Why would I want to be married to an absentee husband and father? Not my ideal marriage to be honest. More power to Gen and D! 

So that should clear most things up. If I think of anything else, I’ll come update this post and reblog it. I also may link it in my bio just so people can reference it before coming at me with anything mentioned above.

Supernatural LSB: Jared Padalecki x Platonic reader ft. Jensen and Misha pt.2

And here we go with pt. 2 and boy did I enjoy writing Round 2 because I’ve got some special surprises for ya’ll in store and trust me when I say.....I wish this would actually happen should someone of the cast compete on the show against J2, this could get u a win *wink wink hint hint*. Okay now in this there is just a fight scene that Jared does with a FAKE gun that can make the actual popping sounds but you’ll see what I’m talking about but I thought I might put a warning up for gun use (AGAIN FAKE BE-BE PISTOL GUN BUT THAT’S IT!!!) Enjoy my lovelies :)

Soon it was time for Round 2.

“Welcome back to Lip Sync Battle, the War between Winchesters have gone through the roof but now it’s time for Round 2. Let’s see what Jared Padalecki did to prepare for his second piece”.  The crowd applauded and the camera came up on me and Jared and he gave a salute and soon the cameras began to show what he did to prepare for his second act.

He was in the costume department speaking to his costume designer and he said to her.

“We actually did this song on the show and I’ve seen this song on the show thanks to (n/n) but I want to try and go a different route”.

“Okay so we do have these and I can have them in a different color or is this good?”

“No, no that’s perfect now what about the hat?”

“Right here for you Jared”.

“Excellent”.  Soon Jared’s voice came over and it showed him back in his dressing room. “This might give me the win cause this is one of (y/n)’s favorite songs and when we did this on an episode, so the expression on her face in the episode is her true reaction. (Y/n) baby girl you’re good but,” he placed the cowboy hat on his head and said in with his Texan accent coming out, “There’s a new sheriff in town, and I’m takin that there belt back home”.

(Play up till 1:34 then skip to the next instrumental tune at 2:37 and basically kinda go from there)

The stage was dark and I was getting a little scared of what song he chose for his next choice but soon the familiar guitar solo came up on the speakers and I collapsed to my chair holding my hands to my mouth.  

The spotlight came on Jared in a full black cowboy attire with a six string guitar in his hand sitting in front of a fake fireplace, and he was actually strumming it as I could actually hear it playing.  There was also a fake tree with a Wanted poster with Jared’s picture on it and his reward was for $1000.

“Yes Jared!” I heard Jensen cry out. Like a true Texas cowboy getting ready for a showdown, he slowly raised his head up then raises his head, allowing the hat to only show his eyes first as he began to sync out the words.

He put the guitar down and he walked up towards his Wanted poster and ripped it off the tree before crumbling it up and tossing it towards the audience.  He then turned towards me and pointed right at me as he synced out “I’m Wanted, Dead or alive”.  He then walked across the stage and soon it jumped right to the part where the song really begins to pick up.

Soon the lights came on and dancers dressed as sheriffs came right at Jared and for the first time that I or anyone else had ever seen on LSB instead of dancing, the stage turned into an all-out stage combat.  

Jared fake-punched one guy then as another one came with a fake-punch towards Jared, he placed his hand on his chin like he had actually gotten punched before acting like he was reconnecting his jaw and then taking the man by the arm and literally flipping him over his shoulder.

I was in shock as was LL, Chrissy and Misha while Jensen was having a ball with this. It was then Jared took out his ‘gun’ and began firing one shot which made actually popping sounds and one by one each sheriff dropped to the ground.  He blew on the gun getting rid of the ‘smoke’ before syncing out as he walked towards his “steel horse” and mounted it as he kept syncing.

It soon came to the part where Jensen, Jared and I once got to actually sing this song and I couldn’t help myself but actually sing along and I even turned to see Jensen doing the same thing and then once the verse was done, Jared synced out the last few words until the song finished and the lights exploded off.

The crowd went nuts as Jared breathed heavily and the stage combaters all got up and Jared got off the horse statue and LL came up on stage and proclaimed.

“Wow!” He now stood beside Jared and said, “Chrissy, Chrissy tell me what did you think of Jared’s second performance?”

“I think we just witnessed our first Lip Sync stage combat?” The crowd applauded and Jared tipped his hat to the crowd.

“Okay let’s go to the Supernatural guest judges, Jensen, Misha your thoughts?”

“You truly embraced our Texan culture there partner, and like Dean said Bon Jovi rocks on occasion and Jared—that occasion was now!” The crowd cheered and screamed as Jared saluted to his brother.

“I have to agree with what Jensen said, I mean that was probably the best way and probably the only way to do that song and only you could’ve done that Jared, hats off to you partner” Misha tipped his fake hat to Jared and he returned the gesture.

“Alright so (y/n) what did you think did Jared do you proud?” I was speechless at this point.  Everyone laughed included Jared and I finally brought the mic up to my lips and I said.

“I want to say some kind of come-back but I can’t. Not with this song. Like seriously this is my all-time favorite Bon Jovi song and J2 know that, I first heard that song in Scooby Doo 2 and was obsessed with that song and then when we got to actually sing it in an episode that was—Jared well done, amazing job”. I then got off the VIP section and embraced him and he did the same for me.

Everyone awed at us as Jared picked me up and spun me around a few times before removing his black cowboy hat and placing it on top of my head.

“Well Jared Padalecki took us straight to the Wild West as the World’s Most Wanted cowboy, when we come back will (y/n) prove herself worthy of the belt? Followed by the decision of which Winchester wins the LSB belt, we’ll be right back”. “Wanted” came back on over the speakers as the camera came onto both Jared and I and we were both Lip syncing to the song.

After the commercial break, LL stated.

“We’re back with the final performance of the night. It’s been a Supernatural rollercoaster but now it’s time for the youngest Winchester to see what she brought with us to the table to beat her older brother”. The camera came on me and I waved and got my hands into fighting position before it went straight to my other performance.

I was in my dressing room getting ready in the same style of clothes that I have been wearing for almost 12 years of my life.  

I was now in the dance studio practicing the dancing and the choreographer was proclaiming at how well I was doing and when it was over, my entire crew applauded and I high-fived every single one of them.

It now showed me practicing on stage and I was eating a doughnut as I sat beside LL Cool J and I told him.

“Jared’s definitely gonna tap out as soon as he sees my next performance”.

“Oh is he?”

“Yep, in fact I bet he’ll probably leave the room” he then bursted out laughing as I smirked and drank up my water.  As the show would show my dancing my voice came over before filming me in my dressing room, “I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve, it ain’t over till I say it’s over. Jared you might as well give up honey, because this next performance will rock your world”.

(Now I just want u guys to play Jessie J’s part, then skip straight to Ariana’s part, play the first half of the chorus after Ariana’s part, then skip again to Nicki’s part and then just kinda let it play out up until the verse before the last part of the song hopefully you guys got this if not then I’ll try to put up the numbers so that ya’ll can follow along)

The lights soon went on and my song “Bang Bang” by Jessie J ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj came over the speaker.  But the stage was now decked up almost exactly like the Bunker set we have back at the Vancouver set and my outfit was exactly like Natasha’s.  

For the past few seasons since about 8-9, Natasha went for a red jacket kinda similar to Emma Swan’s on Once Upon a time, jeans, black combat boots, and a simple black short sleeved t-shirt.  She also wore a silver necklace with a single ruby red gem at the center and of course the shirt allowed my anti-possession tattoo to show that stood a bit over my chest.

As I synced to the song, I went a bit crazy and shook my booty sexually trying to mock Jared then I even pulled out a replica prop of Lucille that we teased during the 200th episode.  I walked up towards a desk and I slammed the bat down twice and soon popping out dressed in a female version of Sam was a special guest star to help with the song for Ariana’s part.

Gen came around and the two of us stared Jared down and coyly wagged our finger at him in a ‘come hither’ motion.  And I swear I have never seen Jared’s face look more shocked than seeing his wife help me with my LSB.  

We continued to act like two proud sexy ladies letting the music take us, facing each other and placing a finger to our lips as we synced the shhh then we faced back towards Jared as we both gestured the bad girl line right towards Gen since she did play a demon.

Soon the chorus came and Gen and I danced together as soon coming onto the stage once again was a replica of Baby that Jensen and Misha came in on and as half the chorus was played and Nicki’s part came on, another special guest came on stage all dressed as Female Dean.

The crowd went insane at seeing both J2 wives up on stage with me dressed head to toe just like their husbands on the show just minus the hair since I wanted this to be a Winchester-Sister parody.  Dani, Gen and I were bouncing around, doing the fist-bump as we jumped backwards just going crazy with Nicki’s rap.

When the rap slowed, like true super models I lead followed by Gen then finally Dani down the catwalk as the three of us strutted the catwalk with our hands at our waists just strutting slowly yet powerful.  When we got down the catwalk we went crazy once again by pop-in-locking our shoulders from side to side before spinning our bodies like a clock at the spelling of Bang.

When Jessie’s solo came on, Dani and Gen went down to the ground as I took center stage and we then raced back and soon my backup dancers who were all dressed up as either demons, angels, werewolves, vampires, or any other monster that was on the show.  

So we did what we Winchesters did best, hunted them down and killed or exorcised them. Once they were take care of, we returned to Baby.

Dani and Gen up on the hood while I literally got right on top of the car and then stood up proudly as the three of us synced the song, I then slide down from the roof right between Gen and Dani on the Hood and we all turned in sync and flipped off Jared and that’s when my song ended.

The room went crazy as I slide off the rest of the Impala and Gen and Dani wrapped their arms around me and we all group hugged.

“Ladies and Gents give a round of applause to DANNEEL ACKLES AND GENEVIEVE PADALECKI!!!!” I cried into the mic.  The girls bowed as I clapped with the audience and LL came up to us and was beyond words.

“The Wayward sisters have made a comeback!” The crowd cheered as I now stood between Gen and Dani and we all turned towards Jared who was now down on the ground completely dead. We were now laughing hysterically as LL said, “Jared? Jared are you alive?”

“This is why you wouldn’t be a part of my Livin La Vida Loca act!?” proclaimed Jared. Gen smiled widely and she said.

“(Y/n) asked me first, and what can I say? I can’t say no to this face” She cupped my chin and I did my puppy dog eyes and she kissed my cheek and wrapped her arms around me.

When she came on the show at season 4 when I was 12, even though my character absolutely hated her guts to no end, I ended up personally falling in love with Gen. I thought she and Jared would make a cute couple someday if they ever got married, and even when I shipped it, Jared even tried to get me to be his wing woman to try and win over Gen. Of course she rejected him till finally she agreed to go out on a date with him, then on that beautiful February day of 2010, I was invited to be one of Gen’s bridesmaids for their wedding.

Around that same time, Jensen also married Dani and the three of us girls became like sisters and soon the rest was history.  I became an aunt to each of their kids and they all called me Auntie (y/n) and pretty soon little Odette will be on her way to calling me that once she gets a little older.

“Jared I am so glad to not be in your spot right now” mentioned Jensen.

“You dodged a bullet baby, I’ll get you when we get home” proclaimed Dani.  The crowd all oohed at Dani’s burn and I fist-bumped her on a job well done.

“Alright ladies please step on up to the VIP or join your husband Mrs. Ackles whichever one you prefer”. Said LL.  I then went up to the VIP with Jared as Gen followed behind me while Dani went up to where Jensen was and we went to a final commercial break.  

I sat beside Jared and he hugged me on a job well done while he brought Gen on his lap and wrapped his arms around her and placed his head on top of her rocking her side to side.

Soon Jared and I were asked to join LL as the belt was now about to be given out and the audience would decide who was the Supernatural LSB Champion.  We were finally back and LL said.

“Welcome back to Lip Sync Battle. The night has been fierce and each of these Winchesters have fought their hardest but now it’s time for the audience to decide, Chrissy are you ready?”

“I am overly ready” she said as she held the one and only LSB belt.  She stood beside Jared first as LL said.

“Is the Lip Sync Battle Supernatural champion Jared Padalecki?” The crowd cheered and he tried to get them to scream louder.  I stood there in place feeling above all nervous of how the outcome would be, I mean don’t get me wrong I had a hell of a time, I’ve always wanted to be on this show and I love Jared to pieces but I really wanted to win this.

“Or is the Lip Sync Battle Supernatural champion (y/n) (l/n)?” For me the audience screamed even louder than Jared’s and I barely did anything.  I raised my arms up in exult as the crowd even began cheering my name.  “And the winner is….. (Y/n) (L/n)!!!” I screamed loudly and covered my mouth overcome with joy as Chrissy strapped the belt around me.

I felt tears coming down my face as I was overwhelmed with emotion right now.

“Talk to us, talk to us (y/n) how’s it feel to be the Champ?” I sniffled and tried to stop myself from crying as the audience awed at me.

“It feels….Oh my god it feel amazing but I thought I wouldn’t win this!” The audience awed again. “But first I would like to thank Jared for being quite the competitor, I had a lot of fun and thank you guys so much this means a lot to me”. I wiped my tears away as I felt Chrissy rub my shoulders and even hug me.

“Jared, even though you lost did you have a good time? How has this experience been for you?”

“It was wonderful I see now why this is (y/n)’s favorite show. I had a hell of a blast and if there was anyone I could lose to, I’m glad it was (y/n) and not Jensen”. Jensen cried out offensively as Jared came up and embraced me and even picked me up and rocked me back and forth.

Soon Jensen, Misha, Gen and Dani came down and joined us as LL took us out and my backup dancers all came out.

“(Y/n) (l/n) proved herself to be the Supernatural Champion, a big thanks to the cast of Supernatural and remember, whatever you do in life….Knock em out the box cell. Knock em out L!” “Bang, Bang” came up on the speakers again and we all were dancing along to the song until we were told that we were off air.

Later that night, Jared, Jensen, Misha, their wives and I were celebrating my victory and Jared soon called out.

“Hears to (y/n) the LSB champion”.

“To (y/n)!” They all proclaimed as their raised their glasses in the air for me and we spent the rest of the night celebrating before the guys and I were to head back to continue filming the rest of Supernatural since our Hiatus break was almost over by this time.

J2 VanCon 2017 Main Panel

J2 ran in from the back, and then did their jump onstage :)

Jensen lost his voice. 

J2 point out some of the SPN crew members that are in the crowd and give them some love. 

Jared dropped the mic after a fan said she’s been watching since Gilmore Girls and he ran out to give her a hug.

If Jensen could play any female character he would play Baby.

Jared would choose to play Charlie because she’s unique. Loves how she’s into LOTR, Star Wars, etc. Jensen: That’s she’s a nerd, basically. Jared also talks about how he played Meg!Sam and gives a shout-out to the amazing Rachel Miner who is also at the con :) 

Jensen says he would play Ruby or Becky if he could play any female character. Jared moves his chair away lol. Jensen then picks Rowena. 

The French Mistake and Changing Channels were Jared’s favorite to film. 

One of Jensen’s favorite episodes to film was Baby. He feels that it was one of the best episodes they’ve done. He also likes the funny ones, where Dean gets to be more comedic. 

After asking what movie genre they would like to do, the fan says that Jensen and Misha should do a romcom. Jared: I’d direct that. Jensen: *laughing* You’ve never directed anything. That’s the scenario it would take?? 

Jensen jokes that he would do a western or romcom with Misha: “You know what they say, give it to ‘em in a way they don’t expect it.” Jensen says after: “I just threw up a little bit, I want you to know that.” (x)

One of the best places Jensen has been to is Japan because the culture was so different and he appreciates the diversity. 

Jensen talks about how Jared acts at restaurants lol.

Fan asks how they think they connect most with their characters. Jensen points to Jared: Hair.  

Jared has a tough time believing he can live up to people’s expectations but with our love he’s finally happy where he is. He relates to Sam because they both took a long time finding their role in life. 

Jensen said he and Dean share the same moral compass and Jensen has the desire to fight for good and help the helpless. 

J2 argue over whether it’s Sam and Dean vs Dean and Sam lol.

LOL Jared started to say Jensen but it sounded like he tried to say Genevieve when he was telling a story so he had to stop and start again.

Fan has a question for Jensen, Jensen: I’m all yours. Jared *fans self* 

Jared talks about how he and Jensen helped create their characters.

Jensen opted not to direct an episode this year so he could spend more time with his family.

J2 are arguing like an old married couple and cracking each other up lol. 

Where has Dean been keeping the Samulet? Jared: Wouldn’t you like to know.

Butt puns/jokes are now being made lol. Endless ass-puns, including: “Put a plug in this” lmao. 

Jensen: This is usually the point on set where they call for a second meal. Jared: Rump roast? :P

Jensen mimes throwing a ball in the air and Jared mimes hitting it with a baseball bat. 

Jensen says the Samulet is probably in the trunk lol. 

A fan asks J2 about nightmare roles. Jensen says he wouldn’t want to play a role that could be damaging to his health. Jared says he wouldn’t want to play someone who was anti-LGBTQ, White-Supremacist, etc, someone he didn’t see as human. 

Jared on not wanting to play a white supremacist, misogynist, or someone who is anti-LGBTQ: “It’s kind of scary to think of trying to humanize someone who has such inhumane characteristics.” 

Fan asks if they could write the next season of SPN what would it entail? Jensen: Comfy chair. Jared: Peace. Jared goes on to say that Dean and Sam have to die in the show and that’s the only way they’ll find peace. 

Jensen talks about the boys dying, too. Says that Sam and Dean have never had a moment where they looked at each other and said, “We’re done.” He thinks it will be a really special moment. 

They haven’t used a green screen since the Looney Tunes episode, aside from scenes in the Impala.

The worst thing Jensen had to overeat on set was the Turducken. Says he had to eat six fake Turducken burgers: “It was not a good day for Mr. Jensen Ackles.” 

Jensen says that normally during food scenes when they call cut you can spit it out into a bucket. Jared: “Sexy, huh?” But Jensen had to keep swallowing the burgers because the way the scene was set up with him eating + the dialogue. 

Fan: You should direct. Jensen (misunderstanding): Juju the rat? Jared: You should direct juju the rat! lol 

Fan: I was wondering how your younger selves would react if you knew the impact you had on the world. Jared: *hugs them tightly*

Jensen: His younger self would not have believed the impact he and his family would have had on the world. Jared agrees and adds “honored.” 

They are both honored to be part of this family and community. 

Jensen and Rob sing after the last question while Jared dances a bit. Lots of touching and bumping into each other before they head off to sign the banners lol (x.x.x)

The Auction (Jensen x Reader)

Title: The Auction

Summary: When Misha holds a date auction for charity, Jensen ends up in a bidding war.

Warnings: None

Misha was dressed in a suit that looked much like the one that Cas wore under his trench coat. He had put together an auction for charity, and had called in many of his female friends to help. Even Genevieve had been convinced to help, but she had already been won by her husband and was currently sitting at the table that Jensen and Jared were at.

 “Have you won yourself a date?” Gen asked, looking over at Jensen.

 “No.” He said with a shrug. “I’m just here for moral support.”

 “Oh come on Jensen.” Jared said. “I even got myself a date.”

 “Your wife.” Jensen laughed. Jared shrugged and wrapped an arm around Gen.

 “You boys should be lucky.” She told them. “His first idea was a male swim suit auction. And I had Speedos picked out for the both of you.” Jared laughed and kissed her. Jensen sighed and sipped at his drink. He could see some of the other guys he worked with and mutual friends in the same boat as him. And there weren’t very many girls left.

 “All right everyone, up next is a very dear friend of mine, so no catcalling okay?” Misha laughed. “Ms. (Y/n) is an assistant in the costume department for Supernatural, so she has probably seen half this room naked.” Everyone laughed. “Let’s give a round of applause for Ms. (Y/n)!”

 (Y/n) came out onto the stage then and Jensen’s world slowed around him. He already knew she was stunning, but right now she was dressed up like Dean Winchester. The girls had all dressed up as fictional characters and, in Jensen’s opinion, (Y/n)’s was the best. She was wearing a v-neck black t-shirt and he could see the edges of an anti-possession tattoo peeking out from underneath it. Over the t-shirt was a blue and pink flannel shirt that was left open. She had on a pair of perfectly fitting jeans with holes here. She had a pair of black combat boots on, giving her a little lift in height. And she had Dean’s amulet around her neck, letting it rest right on the part of the v where he cleavage was.

 “Let’s start the bidding at $100!” Misha called out. Jensen saw out of the corner of his eye as Travis raised his hand.

 “I’ll get in on that action.” Travis said. (Y/n) smiled and blew a kiss at him, making Travis grin. Jensen growled a little, gripping his glass. He didn’t think he had done that out loud, but Jared and Gen had both heard him.

 “150!” Jensen called out then. (Y/n) looked over at Jensen and smiled.

 “200!” Travis said. Misha chuckled.

 “Looks like we have ourselves a bidding war.” Misha said. This continued on for a little while, Travis and Jensen trying to outbid each other. Jensen had such a crush on (Y/n), but so did Travis. She had started working in the costume department during season 9, and when Travis joined as Cole in season 10, he spent all the time he could flirting with (Y/n). Not that Jensen was jealous or anything…

 But then again, he was about to spend $900 to take (Y/n) out on a date.

 “Sold!” Misha called out. Jensen set in his chair as (Y/n) walked over with a flower in her hand. She smiled and kissed Jensen’s cheek.

 “Ready to get out of here?” She asked him. Jensen looked over at Jared, who gave him a thumbs up. Gen giggled and waved goodbye to (Y/n) and Jensen as they left the event.

 “So…” Jensen said awkwardly as they walked. The auction wasn’t too far from his Vancouver place, so he had just walked it, leaving his car at home.

 “Jensen, wait.” (Y/n) said. He stopped and looked at her. “Why did you pay that much money?”

 “I…uh…” He sighed. “(Y/n), I really like you. And I know Travis likes you too. I mean, he spent so much time with you when he was on the show and now that he’s off, he still sends you flowers and texts and…” (Y/n) stopped him then by grabbing his shirt and pulling him in for a kiss. Jensen’s eyes were wide, but soon he closed them and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him and deepening the kiss. Finally, after a little while, they pulled apart.

 “You know Jensen, you didn’t have to pay $900 to go on a date with me.” (y/n) said, lacing her fingers with his. “If you would’ve asked me, I would’ve said yes.”

 “But Travis…” Jensen said. (Y/n) laughed.

 “Travis is a friend from years ago.” (Y/n) explained. “He flirts all he wants but I don’t see him in that light. And he was going to bid on me tonight because I was sure that no one else would. He’s got a bit of a competitive streak though. I wasn’t really expecting a bidding war.” Jensen pulled (Y/n) close to him.

 “You’re worth much more than $900.” He said, leaning down to kiss her again. “So, what should we do then?” (Y/n) smiled up at him.

 “How about you buy me a drink and we see where the night goes.” (Y/n) said with a wink. Jensen chuckled and held her hand as he headed towards a local bar that he liked to go to. This wasn’t the way he thought the night was going to end, but it was even better than anything he could’ve dreamed of.

J2 Hawaii Con Main Panel 2023

What was Jensen’s experience voicing the Red Hood? And when will we see him on the big screen?

That was his first big voiceover gig and it was great because then it got him the opportunity to play another character in that world so he loved that experience and he’s continuing to do stuff like that just as Batman instead. And he’s ready and waiting for somebody to give him an opportuniy like that on the big screen. x

What is their favorite food that they ate on scene? And what is their favorite food to eat behind the scenes?

 Jensen says it would be so much easier to name the least favorite. 

Jared says they were literally watching outtakes in the green room before this panel but in the s15 ep with Mrs. Butters the scene where Sam gets cake for his birthday, Jared was training for a marathon and he was hungry all the time so there was like 3-4 leftover cakes and he took every one of them home, and the scene with Dean and Amara in the bakery there was a bunch of real stuff in the case and he was like 'I’m taking that home' about a bunch of different things so he would take food home all the time. 

Jensen asks Jared if there was anything from catering or craft services he would almost eat daily and I love it because before Jared can fully give his answer Jensen is saying the katsu chicken, and because it was Jared’s favorite they all had to have it once a week too. 

Jensen mentions a trail mix craft services had that he would eat so much off, and then one day Maisie went up to him as he was having a handful and asked him if he knew what the raisins, peanuts, and almonds were and he was confused until she told him they’re just obstacles keeping him from the m&ms.

So that was something off camera he would eat almost every day, on camera Dean ate a lot of crap. The worst was the turducken, he was forced to eat so much of it, it got to the point where he would eat- he would take a bite and because it was so in character would take a bite at the beginning of a scene, now they know that’s a rookie mistake, you take a bite at the end of a scene so when they yell cut you can spit it out into the spit bucket and you don’t have to swallow but his dumbass was constantly eating throughout a whole scene so he got really good at taking a bite in the first take and then shadow biting in the second. Jared says Jensen would even do this when the coverage was on him so the cameras would be over his shoulder and yet he'd see Jensen grab the food and eat but he'd just be fake eating. His favorite to eat were the taquitos they were so good but they never got to have them again because they were store-bought and the grocery store that sold them went out of business. x

What is an item on their bucket list?

Jensen doesn’t have a bucket list. Jared has one item and it’s to make Jensen create a bucket list. x

Would Jensen ever consider doing the Masked Singer?

No. He’s only seen a few of those early on and he’s seen promotions of it, and the costumes look very uncomfortable, and the singing has to be prerecorded so you’re just dancing around in a furby outfit. Jared asks him if he would do it? And Jensen replies that not on TV.  x

When the SPN reboot comes around, is Jesus going to be a part of it?

Jensen points towards Jared and says he already is, and then gives him a little pat on the knee and it quickly goes from cute to hilarious because Jared stretches his arms out like on the cross 😂

Jensen doesn’t know but maybe, hopefully, we’ll see. x

What is one of their most memorable times where they tried to impress their wife?

Jared replies that he likes to lead with his worst qualities so he thinks the majority of the first year and a half of his relationship with G was probably all failures because he was like 'listen i'm gonna fart, and not shower, and not take good care of myself but if you can deal with that the rest is actually decent'.

......and they say romance is dead.

Jensen says he’s been trying to impress D since he met her and he doesn't think he's done it yet but he desires to keep trying. x

Are they still interested in re-doing Lonesome Dove together? Or is there some other project they want to star in together?

Jared would love to he thinks it'd be an awesome idea. And actually, the key makeup artist on Walker won an Emmy award for makeup on Lonesome Dove. Hell yes, he’d love to.

Jensen says it would be fun to do something as brothers again whether it’s Lonesome Dove or SPN. x

Was there something they were looking forward to watching or something that surprised them that they watched while they weren't working?

Jensen didn’t watch anything, three kids under the age of ten is consuming. 

Jared watched Top Gun Maverick which was awesome. Beyond that Coco Melon.

Jensen says he's seen so much Bluey, he almost had to go as Bandit for Halloween until his daughter decided she didn't wanna go as Bluey she wanted to go as Black Cat. He does say that D watches Gilded Age and he proxy has watched it and gotten into it but it’s a soap opera. He also watched all of Gen V cause he was curious to see how bad he looked so he watched his scene but ended up watching the whole episode then wanted to see everything so he went back and started from the beginning, and called Kripke to ask how many hit shows one man needs. x

What is something they took for granted while they were on SPN and didn't realize?

Jared's honest answer is he thinks he took for granted the city of Vancouver. He and Jensen did a really good job in the last 2 or 3 years off if they had a late call or night shooting at 6pm they’d sneak off to ski or go for a bike ride or something but often they were just working and he didn't have an excuse G, D and the kids weren’t in Van most of the time they were at home watching them taking them to school and stuff but he doesn’t think he took enough advantage he thinks he kept waiting for life to happen to him instead of realizing it was already happening.

Jensen says the set atmosphere. It really became what it was organically, it naturally established a really fun, welcoming culture on set that as guest stars would go on they would comment on it and say it was the best place to work. And they’d think that’s cool never really thinking it was by design but now they both know how precious that is and understand that in order to achieve that you have to put in a certain kind of work, they were doing that work unknowingly by being themselves and treating everybody as equal. He takes that knowledge now when stepping into other sets and he's very hyper-aware of the culture of those sets and he does everything he can to make it a welcoming, fun, entertaining space to create. x

Do they remember their first concert experience and who was it they went to see?

Jared doesn’t remember which one was first but in San Antonio, he saw En Vogue open for Vanilla Ice. And, his mom took him to the TMNT concert as a Christmas gift.

Jensen’s first concert was with his mom and his aunt, it was when he was 6. The Michael Jackson thriller tour and he was terrified because of the lights and the costumes and the roar of the crowd he had never been in a crowd that big and then he came out and blew the roof of the place. And then first concert on his own was Van Halen. x

How do they prevent burnout?

Jared says they burn out all the time and then they have moments like this with the fans where they remember why they like to stay lit. Jokes aside he thinks they do burnout, he knows he does, not a lot but he gets exhausted and he thinks Sam and Dean did as well he thinks all the characters that they’ve played have then you kind of remember why you keep fighting, why you get back up, you get a little help from your friends and you kind of fake it till you make it and then you're back on track. It gets hard for sure but ideally, the good they've been a part of and the families they’ve built and been invited to be a part of certainly give him energy, and motive him.

Jensen says they also started doing this at an early age where they conditioned themselves to work this hard, the strike and the pandemic were pretty bad for them they don’t know how to turn it off or shut it down because they’ve been doing for so long it’s how they’re wired so it’s like Jared says yeah, they burned out on occasion but also know that this is what fuels them so it's easy to recover and jump back in the pool when they love it and have been doing it this long. And they have people that inspire them and give them energy to keep going through the moments of exhaustion. x

What was their very first acting role in school?

For Jensen, he did drama class cause he had to pick an art elective and his first big High School production was Cyrano de Bergerac. He played Christian the character that needs Cyrano to speak for him to win over Roxane. But he was maybe a junior or freshman then in his senior year he did West Side Story.

Jared’s first legit role he can recall doing was Mercutio, he doesn't think anybody would sit through it, there was also a play called Candida but he doesn’t really recall the first one. It was all stuff that high schoolers don’t really grasp yet but it got him curious. x

Do they have a passion or a topic that they could confidently teach a one-hour class on?

No. But Jensen does think they could both fill 60min on set etiquette. Not just how to act or the art of filmmaking but what the different departments do and why and the craft that goes into a day on set. x

Do they have any plans for their canceled shows?

Jared says it was obviously not their choice for the shows to not come back and they’re gonna find out what their industry is gonna look like in the next couple of months. He'd love for them to come back but he doesn’t know what the world is gonna look in terms of content like 3yrs from now.

Jensen says the shows weren’t on air for long enough for them to generate a worth for them to be taken and shopped around it’s an unfortunate by-product of the industry, people move pretty fast and when things get shelved or cleared off the table everybody is moving on so it’s hard to resurrect things that there's not a want or need for it to be brought back. That unfortunately the shows didn't have enough time to root themselves and find their legs, and it was really unfortunate timing because both shows were great. But their industry is in such a transition period right now crazy things are happening all over the place. He and Jared were very fortunate to do what they did when they did because SPN survived some rough waters but he doesn't know if the show would have made it through something like this, and Jared takes it one step further and says if last year had been the first season of SPN they'd have gotten axed. x

What's their most memorable photo op?

Jared says they've had some funny requests at times.

Jensen says there was a line they used to have, he doesn't know where it went or when it was removed but he does remember at one point MC looked at him and went 'it's come to this'.

Jared shares a story about a photo op they had with Krista, and she wanted to do a funny mid-action pose like a bodyguard diving and she could have just posed but instead, she did a full-on dive across several times.

Jensen says that a funny thing though that he'll get asked to do rock, paper, scissors a lot and it's not a video just pick one of the three, he's always gonna do scissors because that's what Dean did and it's what he's married to at this point so if you want to beat him do rock, and if you wanna let him win do paper, or just don't do anything, you don't have to it's a picture. x

See I don’t think his comment to G was sappy at all. I think it follows a sad pattern of him or her or both never really letting him have the spotlight. Father’s Day was the same way. He always has to pull himself down to build her up. His response to Jensen on the other hand, just love and support for him without tearing himself down. It’s mutual love and respect. With J/G it’s always gotta come back around to be about her. With J2 it’s just them loving and supporting each other, no asterisks, no caveats.

The stage the boys are on has a catwalk so they play around and do a model walk at the beginning.

Also, before the questions, Jensen shares that he had a senior moment recently, he was taking the kids to school and In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins came on the radio. His daughter asked if they could change it and he told her no and as they were waiting at a stop light he told her to wait for the drum solo, because for those that have never heard this song before- do so but also this song has a very iconic drum solo, and when the drum solo came up he threw his neck out playing along to it. And Jared tells that he did the army certification training during his USO Poland stop and it was like the 2nd day there and there were all these jacked up 25-year-olds and they explained what they had to do and his knee is all jacked but he can’t say no so the time comes for the deadlift portion and he ended up tweaking his lower back a little bit. Then out of frustration, the last part of the test is holding a plank for like a minute and 15 seconds but he decided he was gonna stay in that plank till he dropped so he so he did a four and half minute plank. And then could barely walk and was all hunched over.

Into questions we go, what’s the weirdest space they’ve shared a convention with? Jensen starts to say that they don’t normally share a space but is then reminded they once shared with a furry convention that was going on. Jared says he recalls that probably around 2009-2010, in the first couple of years of them doing cons, at the same time they were doing a con there was a doctor convention a couple of doors down and some of them would get lost and you would just see physicians walk into the room and then back out slowly looking very confused due to some of the questions they were hearing for example about killing Lucifer. So they joke that if you don't know what SPN is or watch the show and you hear the questions they get, you're going to be wondering where you are. x

If they were in a Freaky Friday situation and swapped bodies what are some of the first things they would do as each other? Jared shares that the episode Swap Meat was initially an idea for an episode where Sam and Dean swap bodies and it was pretty wacky but as they started developing it he thinks the network shut it down but Jensen says that he thinks it was changed in an effort to give them some time off because they tried to give the boys a break every once in a while, and if they had gone with this idea they would both be working a lot of hours every day like 14 hours.

Jared answers that if he was body-swapping with Jensen different answer but Sam body swapping with Dean would probably go to the fridge and throw out all the unhealthy shit and swap it for salads and fruits. If he was body-swapping with Jensen, he’d probably get up and play a concert. Jensen would go get his knee surgery and then he’d go play any game of pick-up basketball there was and block the throws. They say that Jared did that the day prior, someone had thrown like car keys and Jared automatically slammed them down to the ground mid-air. Jared says that both with his friend group now and also the one he grew up with if anything is thrown in the vicinity of one of the friend members he'll smack it off the air. And Jensen says that Jared will do it without meaning too, it's just a reaction he has, that there was a scene where Dean throws C something, and Jared without thinking smacked it to the ground and then immediately regretted it cause they had to shoot the scene again. 😂

If they had to rule the world for a day either together or separately how would they do so? Jared says he would make social media not anonymous. You’d have to face all the hate- he thinks the world is a nicer place on the elevator with somebody than when people are behind a computer. And then he'd eat a bunch of candy. Jensen says he’d force government buildings to play New Orleans-style jazz music all the time, he thinks the world is a better place when there’s music involved. x

Are they going to do more voice acting? Do they enjoy it? Jared says he does enjoy it but that there’s a difference between voice acting when the animation is already done like with the SPN anime it was originally in Japanese but there were some sentences that in Japanese are like two words but that wouldn't be the case in the translation to English so he had to speak as fast as possible while trying to act so he’s not interested in dubbing. As Jared is saying this, Jensen laughs and says that it feels like Jared was traumatized by that experience and tells him that those difficulties are why he did not do the dubbing for the anime, and when Jared tells him that he didn't tell him Jensen replies that he tried.

Jensen says the normal process is the voice gets laid down and then the animation gets done like they did for Scoobynatural. He shares that he’s got a recording he'll be doing on Tuesday for a new project. And there are some he’s already done that are being animated, they’ll probably be out maybe later this year. He does enjoy voice acting because it’s such a departure from what they normally do on camera, they go in and deliver dialogue but it's not with a scene partner, he's in a booth by himself so it's odd when you meet someone who you had already done a movie with without actually meeting them. And each line of dialogue has a number next to it so the director might ask him to skip to a certain number and do multiple different readings of it. He looks forward to doing more voice work, it's something his father has made a living off for most of his career, his dad does voice-over for commercials and such, and says that it's a difficult part of the industry to get into.

Jared also mentions that they realized, especially during the early seasons of spn, that if there was something difficult to do but they did it over and over again and they did it well it would be written more so there would be things he enjoyed doing but didn't want to do often so he'd sandbag a little bit and Jensen would do it with Latin incantations, he'd pretend he wasn't good at it so he wouldn't have to do them. x

Is there an episode of the show that is memorable for them or that they feel changed their lives? Jared replies that the short answer is so many, and the shorter but more detailed answer would be when Sam opens up to Dean about some struggles going on in his head and Dean is supportive, that made Jared realize that he could talk about embarrassing stuff because people can respond not judgementally but be supportive. A lot of the eps are special but the Pilot as well holds that importance for him, says there are things in their industry where they know they have lightning in a bottle but it doesn’t matter if the people who are paying for them to play pretend want more viewers or a better streaming situation you can have something great but it get cancelled after an episode or a season or two. So he feels like to the best of his recollection even from the Pilot he felt like they had lightning in a bottle and they had something that was really freaking good but that it might not ever get aired then jokingly says that 15yrs later they were wondering when it was going to end.

Jensen gives two answers, one that changed from the show's perspective and one from a personal perspective. From a personal perspective, Wendigo. That it wasn't one of the amazing episodes of the show but for them, it was really their first step in their journey together. The Pilot was something they were going to do that had no promise of a future, they hoped it would be picked up and turned into a series but when they stepped foot into the set of Wendigo they knew the show was going to see the light of day, they knew they would have multiple episodes and they knew this journey they were about to embark on was going to happen and they didn't how long it was gonna happen but they knew there was at least a journey to be had so that changed him personally. From a show perspective, he’ll say Lazarus Rising because that’s when the show expanded their universe into heaven and hell. x

What’s the best and worse thing about being on such a long-running tv show? Jared can’t think of the worst. He says that the sacrifices if they can be called that are pretty obvious like the long hours, and having their family in Texas while shooting in Vancouver was rough but he just spend a week in Poland with people who are away from their families for nine months at a time so he’s not bitching, but there was a toll on his body like having wrist surgery and having to go into work the next day but on the other side of it the feeling of letting your head hit the pillow after a hard day at work there’s nothing like it. The best would be making lifelong friendships and relationships. He feels like if he had to go to Van tomorrow he'd be texting the SPN cast and crew to catch up, and it would be as if no time had passed.

Jensen would say worst part was the walking away, if you’re on a show for 1-3 seasons it’s much easier to walk away from that than it was to walk away from 15yrs of relationships and laughter and friends and family, and not just walking away from set and the people who made that set but also walking away from a story and characters they had truly grown to love. But that was also the best part being able to build that family, and build that set, and build those relationships and journey with the characters and friends and family for that amout of time that was the best part. x

What non-hunting related habits and quirks do they think Sam and Dean inherited from John? Jared jokes the voice. Then says he thinks Sam fought a lot against turning into who John was for him, and something that having three children and talking to other parents he has learned is every kid is born into a different family. So he thinks the John Sam got was different from the one Dean got if for no other reason that Dean's first 3 or 4 years were with mom still, Sam didn't have that so he thinks Sam put up a facade, he takes after his father and his brother anyways but he tried not to emulate John. Jensen says definitely the voice for Dean also maybe some driving skills and he would say on a more serious level the willingness to sacrifice oneself for the ones you love. x

Can Jensen share some stories about the finale of The Winchesters and Meg Donnelly driving Baby? Jensen says Robbie Thompson knew he wanted to make that happen for the finale quite a while before they even broke that story, it was something to spice up the season finale they try to do that in just about every show wether it's bringing back a familiar character or paying for a very expensive song which they also did, he says that Kripke actually called him and asked how he got Zeppelin and Jensen replied "name your kid Zeppelin you get Zeppelin". So they knew they wanted to somehow incorporate the car and he was on the docket to come back, and they wanted some other familiar faces so luckily Jim Beaver was available and Alex Calvert was available then he says MC offered but he said no. And you might be tempted to think he's making a mean joke but he says it’s true that MC told him he would came back that he wasn't doing anything and Jensen was like oh it's okay, we're good and if you're laughing right now just know you're not laughing nearly as hard as Jensen and Jared were cause those two were cracking up on that stage. Jensen says there was a reason for that but he can’t get into it but depending on the future of the show he’ll say why at sometime, which is professional speak for I'll never tell (and that's professional speak for I didn't want him there).

But getting the car back over there was something they knew they were gonna do so when they did he then saw on the script Meg was going to drive it even though she had just gotten her license the previous week but luckily Meg is a skilled performer but also she's a truly talented singer and dancer so she's very athletic so she has very good spatial awareness and motor skills which are a necessity when you're driving. So when she went to drive he was like okay, don't mess this up, and he did know that if anything happened to it the car was immediately going back to a shop and getting fixed. But she did great and he's glad it worked out that way and he was really proud of what everone did in that finale, he thinks it turned out really well and it's something he's very proud of. x

If Baby was possessed and had to be put down what would their last words be to Baby? Jared says Sam would probably be like 'hey Baby, can you just hold here a second I’m gonna try and find Crowley to put him in the trunk before we take care of business'. On a more serious note he thinks Sam would be like 'all right, get up to Heaven and wait for my brother'. Jensen asks the fan if they have seen Marley & Me but the fan hasn't because they know the ending is really sad. Spoiler alert for a movie from 2008, the dog is put down at the end. But Jensen says it would be like Marley & Me for Dean there would be tears and him uttering the words I'm so sorry Baby.

Jared shares a quick story about how years ago like 10-15yrs ago they were on a flight to somewhere and the way they were situated he was facing Jensen and D, and at one point he looked over at them and they had their headphones in like they were watching something but they were a wreck, silently crying and it was because they were watching Marley & Me. Then on the flight back Jared watched it and he was the same, a silently crying wreck. x

Any possibility they’d do an SPN movie? Jensen says yes. Jared asks him if he would prefer doing a limited series or a movie? Jensen answers, yes. Jared says that when they walked away from SPN they weren’t saying goodbye it was see you later and they looked at each other and kept going 'don't think about it too much because we’ll talk again in 2025'. So talk to them in 2025. Jensen says that they decided they were gonna wait 5 years, and then talk about what it would look like to bring it back out that obviously a lot of people need to be involved in those conversations, there's a lot of legalities and business affairs but obviously they can't do it without them and that's something they'll be talking about in a couple years. x

If somebody stole the Impala what would Dean do? Jensen answers that it would be all four John Wick movies rolled into one. He thinks if somebody stole Baby, Dean would go a little nuts, he would get Baby back no matter what the cost. The fan also asks if Dean's answer when Sam asks him that question and Dean says he'd murder them all was improve or if it was in the script, Jensen believes that one was improve.

When they were little kids was there any show they used to act out like if they were one of the characters? Jensen says Zack Morris. Jared says Home Improvement, Jonathan Taylor Thomas. That he was the same age and all the girls he liked had a crush on him and he liked the show, and thought he was funny, and liked that he had brothers and he wanted to be an actor like him so he would have loved to have been one of the brothers on Home Improvement.

Jensen tries to think about some of the shows that were on at the time when they were kids, and Jared asks him what Golden Girl he'd be, he answers Blanche. But he wanted to be Sam from Cheers, they watched that a lot and he just thought that character kinda had the world revolve around him a little bit and that's not to say that's what he wanted but he wanted to be the guy in the middle making it all happen, fixing the bar, making the drinks, having everybody know his name. x

The next question is a long one: of all the projects they've done was SPN their favorite show to act in? If it was what was their favorite part about working with the cast? What was their favorite episode? And what was their favorite Sam and Dean quote? Jared replies that he feels like every emotion he has ever had in his life he's had at some point in time during SPN so it's certainly the most complete, that it's like asking which child is his favorite. It was great, he fell in love and met some friends and got to do everything as Sam, he played every version of Sam he could; that it was awesome to explore and in a sense, especially in the beginning, it was nice that they weren't in LA because in Van they basically went to work, went home, went to bed and every now and then they'd get off early enough to go get a steak and watch some sports but they weren't distracted by like the next red carpet event in LA they just kinda were loving the process. For favorite line he says: "What kind of house doesn't have salt?"

Jensen says it's easy to make an argument why SPN has been his favorite project to work on and it's crazy because you work on a show for 15yrs, you would think there would be plenty of negative aspects to it that would maybe reveal themselves or whatever but he would say there was the least amount of drama, problems, issues on SPN than any other project he's worked on and to have that as long as he did that's his favorite- he would say that's why SPN is his favorite because he's known it the longest and he got to know it the deepest and most engaged with it than he ever has been with any other project. Line wise he goes with the first one that comes to his mind: "That was scary" x

Last question time, the fan first asks Jared when he’s going to bring G to see the fans at a con. Jared answers that it sounds like an awesome idea but then who’s gonna watch the kids…….I could make so many comments but I’m just gonna keep it moving. Jensen asks the fan what they would ask G if she were there and Jared pipes up and says "when are you gonna go back home?" What a loving husband.

Anyway, the actual question is what was their favorite or most memorable ep to film? For Jared most memorable is a little difficult to answer because there are so many but for favorite French Mistake, that it was a lot of fun and he doesn't think he'll ever get the chance to do anything similar to that again. Jensen says Inherit the Earth. x

Jared made his third appearance on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast. 

The interview was done through Zoom and filmed on March 17th. More of a general conversation if you’re looking for something like info about what’s coming up in what’s left of this season of Walker you won’t find it but it did have some interesting and important tidbits so I do suggest checking it out. As always a link is provided at the end of this post. 

Also as always, Rosenbaum going forward will be referred to as MR. 

They jump right into conversation with MR asking Jared about how far away from home he films. Jared says they go all over the place but usually he’s only around 20mins to an hour away. Asked if it’s easier to have his whole life there or if there’s more distractions, Jared says it’s so much harder because when he would wrap up SPN and get home tired he could just get a beer and head to bed but now when he gets home he has the kids all wanting his attention. x

He once again shares the story about how Walker came to be, and how the idea came to him when he read an anonymous op ed about a law enforcement official who handed in his badge. And he went to Anna Fricke, who he knew as a friend through her marriage to Jeremy Carver, and asked if she’d be available. x

He says that when he was originally thinking about Walker- when it was in the early stages of development his pitch, unbeknownst to Jensen, was that Jensen would be Walker. Because he (Jared) was on his way out of acting; he thought he would be on as an EP but didn’t really want to be on camera. And that actually, he doesn’t want to be on camera, that he sort of wants to retire, he doesn’t want to do fittings or have pictures taken of him. *thinking about G’s instagram* Jared, hon, if you wanna stop feeling like a showpony you should think more about divorce than retirement. 

And he tried to almost negotiate himself out of a deal; when he pitched the idea, Pedowitz told him that if he wanted to come back in the fold let him know and Jared said it would have to be in Austin, and he would need creative involvement, and a day or two off every episode and Pedowitz ended up being okay with all of it.  But he says, he’s now so proud of his show and he’s all in. x

MR mentions he saw Katherine McNamara is gonna be involved in the prequel, and says she's gonna be on the podcast.  In case anyone doesn’t know she’s gonna be playing Abby Walker, and is gonna be one of the leads of the show. Jared mentions he doesn’t know her well yet but that they did their research and background checks to see if the people they were considering were decent and Katherine has a great reputation so he looks forward to getting to know her better. x

What made him decide Walker was the thing for him after SPN? Did he have offers to lead on other shows? Jared says, no that he’s sure he had auditions available but what he loved about SPN is that they were the little engine that could. It was more a word of mouth fandom rather than billboards everywhere, and with Walker it became sort of like ‘let’s give it a shot’. And his initial motivation for filming was that he wanted his fellow Texans to be able to pay their mortgage because they started filming amidst the pandemic at a time where a lot of the world wasn’t shooting yet because of it; they didn’t know where the world was going, he compares it to when in the Titanic the band keeps playing even though the ship is sinking. So they were working not knowing if they were gonna get phone calls shutting them down, which they did get, but they wanted to provide entertainment and tell stories and provide joy and they created a season that he couldn’t be more proud of; says he’s his biggest critic but he’s so proud of Walker. 

A small thing but he and MR think his first appearance on the podcast was being the one he did in 2020 when he was in quarantine before wrapping up SPN but that’s incorrect; his first appearance was actually in 2019. It’s not on Youtube because at the time this podcast was not on video but it is on Spotify. x

MR knows how overwhelming a first season can be so, did Jared cater to his needs so he wouldn’t feel overworked on set? Is that a conversation that was had? It was. Jared says they take great care of him, that his line producer and set producer fight to make sure his days are condensed so he won’t be first up and last up and having to spend his whole day in a trailer. That he’s being treated like a king (as he should be 🥰) and he’s so grateful. And I’m grateful too because this is the kind of respect and support that he deserves, and it makes me so happy that he has a crew that appreciates him❤️

The number of script pages he has to learn vary by day. He goes on a sort of ramble about how he bristles when people assume he’s a great liar because he’s an actor, and I swear for a second I thought he was gonna talk about himself as in his personal life because he starts to say “I’m not lying, I’m going through some-” and then redirects and says his job as an actor is to tell his characters truth so he does a lot of work outside of the set. That he wants to read his scripts over and over again until he gets to the point that when he gets on set he’s telling the truth. I don’t know if what he meant to say before he cut himself off is that he’s not lying when he’s acting because the brain can’t tell the difference between real and fake when you’re let’s say acting like you’re in pain, or if he was actually going to go in another direction and then his brain caught up and swerved. x

MR mentions he saw an article on twitter about the time that Jared almost missed a day of work on Gilmore Girls. For those that don’t know the story, what happened is that he was not scheduled to film for several days but Lauren Graham got sick and they had to do a last minute schedule change that Jared was not aware of; so he and his friends had stayed up late playing video games and filling up on beer and pizza, and Sadie who was a puppy at the time, he with the help of his dad had made her a little pee place on his balcony cause he lived on the third floor so he just left his balcony door open and crashed. He was woken up at like 8am by his friend telling him that his (Jared’s) manager had called him because Jared was needed on the set and he couldn’t reach him, and that’s when Jared looks at his phone and sees that he has a ton of missed calls and messages.

He says that it was more than uncomfortable, he found it scarring and it stays with him to this day. Because even though everyone on set was very nice and gracious he felt like an asshole, like he let everyone down for wasting their valuable time. And it formed who he is now, it’s part of why he goes over scripts again and again and again; the way he sees it is that if he doesn’t do a good job or he messes up a scene it’s not because he hasn’t done the work it’s because he doesn’t have the talent.

MR asks if he’s not the kind of actor that can just walk on set and learn lines in the trailer and Jared replies he’s never tried. When he walks on a set, he knows everybody else’s lines. And he shares about how when he was in highschool he used to take pride in just reading the cliffnotes and still getting a good grade but then at one point realized he was only hurting himself in the long run by trying to shortcut his way to an A, that he was just taking away from his experience and that’s the same way he thinks about learning his scenes; he’s sure he could go on set, read his scene for the first time and do a decent job but he’d just be stealing from himself. And he likes to go on set and have a good time, so he puts in the work so when he gets to set he’s ready to play and have a good time. 

Sidenote: When Jared mentioned Sadie he also mentioned that Koda had surgery. Don’t know what for but I hope the doggy is okay. x

He doesn’t run lines with anyone. Says he’s a loner, that he always says that if he weren’t an actor he’d wanna be like a wildlife photographer or something in Africa (is that something you always say?🤨). That he doesn’t go out (I guess UFC fights don’t count), he doesn’t like people but he loves good people, doesn’t like being in crowds that he’s wired to be alone and beat himself up a little bit- Jared baby are you okay? 

Says he’s competitive with himself - he compares himself to other versions of himself, and if he feels he hasn’t done his best, he dwells on it. x

MR: Can you/do you watch yourself and can you appreciate it or are you too critical? He answers that he didn't watch the new SPN eps when they were airing live unless he was on set with Jensen and they’d go to his trailer and live tweet or something but with Walker he does because of his capacity as EP. He has to give notes so when he watches it it's very mathematical. And he mentions he watches it with his kids which is great because he couldn’t show SPN to his kids. x

MR mentions how Jensen is the type to just go on set and learns his lines in the trailer, and Jared goes to say they have opposite methods but he pauses as he tries to remember the word method so MR says work ethics and I love Jared’s instant reaction of “no,no,no, he works hard af”; a little peak of protective Jared not allowing the implication that Jensen doesn’t work hard. 

MR has to clarify that he's not saying Jensen doesn’t work hard but that Jared just talked about how he dissects everything and the work he puts in at home. Jared replies that what he and Jensen have is polar opposite methods but Jensen’s work ethic is legendary, he works as hard as somebody can on something, he just does it in a different way. Jensen would say he likes to get there and be fresh and Jared guesses that something he figured out through his own hundreds of episodes of tv is that he feels he’s giving his best when he keeps it fresh. That frankly he wishes he had more Jensen in him (*snort* I’m sure you do) because he’s setting his alarm at 4:30am getting out of bed to get on his treadmill and read, and he wishes he could find a better way to go about it. x

When Jared was talking about how him and Jensen have different methods he brought up the saying ‘don’t yuck my yum’ which means what it sounds like basically if somebody has something they like or that they’re good at don’t ruin it aka don’t yuck their yum and the reason I’m mentioning it is because MR makes the joke “I’m sure a lot of fans would like to yuck your yum” which makes Jared laugh and reach for his kombucha. He says he started drinking it because he heard about the health benefits and how it's supposed to be good for you. That the first time he tasted it, he found it disgusting but powered through it and now he kinda likes it. 

Birthdays come up, MR says he’s turning 50 this year not gonna lie that caught me by surprise. x

MR asks him about a comment Jared had made where he said SPN almost didn’t cast him because he felt they thought he was too stupid. This is a storyJared told in the spn podcast for anyone who’s curious where it comes from; in the early 2000’s what casting directors were looking for were brooding, James Dean types so the name of the game was that if you went to auditions and acted like that you were likely to get the role so that’s what he did but that’s not what Kripke was looking for and the feedback they gave to Jared’s manager is that they were looking for an intellectual; so his manager proceeded to tell them about his academic achievement and they decided to give him a second chance. So the second time he goes in and proceeds to talk about literature. 

He also mentions how he was in a holding deal with WB. What a holding deal is that when they liked somebody they’d get them for one show but they’d want the right to have them at their disposal for their next series of Pilots and he’d have a pre negotiated episodic pay for the next year on that show. And both him and Jensen had holding deals.  

One of the academic achievements his manager mentioned is that Jared only missed one math question on his SAT’s. His SAT score was around 1490 which leaves MR very impressed but Jared’s really humble about it and says he just does well on tests but that the smartest, most interesting people he knows don’t do well in tests because their brains work on a different angle. 

His SAT scores are something to be proud of and I love how humble he is about it but what I love even more is his acknowledgement that the smartest people sometimes don’t do well in tests. Because it’s true. A test is not an accurate representation of how smart someone is there are people who can cram an entire textbook into their head for an exam but the moment they put their pencil down they’ve forgotten all of it just like there are people who freeze and go blank at exam time but at any other moment could give a dissertation on a subject. x

Asked how he’s dealing with his mental health, he says he’s in maintenance right now; shares that he went to see a psychiatrist in Costa Mesa in November who did some brain scans and found his brain only has around 60% of the oxygen that it should. That his brain looked like swiss cheese and it scared him, and he broke down into tears but the doctor calmed him down told him he’s not dying, and this is something fixable, he can get better and that if he’s doing everything he’s doing now with only 60% then when he gets better the sky’s the limit. 

So he’s been doing treatments in a hyperbaric chamber. For those that don’t know a hyperbaric chamber is a medical device, a more commonly known use of them is as a treatment for compression sickness which is what you get when you rise too fast when scuba diving or deep diving. And it’s a pressurized environment where you breathe in pure oxygen. 

MR asks him if it actually works and Jared is honest and says he has no idea. MR asks how often he has done it, Jared replies that he had done it everyday that week, confesses he has one in his house, and it’s not cheap. He looks so cute when MR asks him about the hyperbaric chamber, he’s so reluctant to admit he has one and how expensive it is. 

He’s the only one that uses the chamber because G has a thing that makes it less than ideal. For some reason, he also randomly throws in there that G’s brain is beautiful with blood going everywhere and perfect. Sure. 

I can’t imagine how scary finding that out was for him, our brains are arguably the most important organ we have and I’m just glad this is something he can heal from 💛

This took place on the birthday of Jared’s old stand in Matt who passed away a couple years ago due to suicide. MR asks if there’s anything he wants to say or insight he wants to share; Jared says you gotta be open. That Matt was the best dude, the smiliest guy who was going through a lot of stuff; that if you got something going on just be open. He’s goine through tough times where he’s thought if he just pushes it down further it’ll go away but it didn’t, and that he’s had a few friends who are no longer around due to suicide. That it’s tough cause it’s never the person who’s telling you how bummed they are, it’s the person who's acting normal and asking how you are, and then the next day you get the call or text that they’re no longer here. 

MR: So usually the signs are tough because there are no signs a lot of times. 

Jared says a lot of people who are going through really difficult times have been to places in their head that they don’t want others to go to so they just hide it. x

Does he still have Baby? Yes, she’s in his garage. He drives it but it has a leak right now. Says he has one and so does Jensen. Baby 1 went to Jensen which is the one with the big block engine that makes a lot of noise but he got Baby number 2 which is the one they used more because it’s quiet and they wouldn’t get noise complaints. x

MR asks about Jensen directing Walker. Man probably just expected a simple answer instead he got Jared talking for 5mins about how much he loves him. 

Jared says that since he wasn’t in every scene he had two days off of principal production and he purposely scheduled them so they would be the first two days. Because he wanted his cast and crew to know that Jensen wasn’t there because he’s Jared’s friend, he was there because he’s a savvy and talented director. That he’s their director, not for them to think of him as Jared’s buddy tagging along to direct an episode. And because I can feel it in my soul that somebody is gonna try to twist this, this was done to ensure that the crew and cast gave Jensen the respect he deserved as the director. 

So Jensen did the first two days without him on set and then he showed up on the 3rd day which was Jensen’s birthday and he was able to tell the crew that this wouldn't have existed without the work that he and Jensen put forth on Supernatural. I know I’ve talked about how much I love that he gave a whole speech but the fact that he purposely scheduled things out to be this way- that’s love people, that’s love. 

Then Jared says that he doesn’t think there’s anybody on the planet that believes in Jensen to the degree he believes in Jensen 😭❤️

Which is beautiful but also may I point out how funny MR’s reaction to this is because he literally just goes ‘wow’. 

But Jared doesn’t stop there, he continues saying that he has no doubt that there’s people in Jensen’s life who know he walks on water the difference is he’s seen him walk on water. Day in and day out for 15 and a half years he’s seen him with a cold, getting bad news and going back to set, a pipe bursting at their house and going back to set (and yes he said their house [“our house”] don’t believe me listen to it yourself). That he loves him dearly, always will and it’s one thing to know somebody you like is a hero, it’s another to see them and know why they’re a hero.

At which point MR says again, wow; I don’t think he expected Jared to speak with such devotion. 

He continues saying that on Walker a lot of their crew say friends of theirs from other show will call and ask how's Disneyland; they have a great set but as EP and lead he has a heavy hand in setting that tone and he had the chance to tell everybody, with Jensen there, that that wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the blood, sweet and tears of Jensen for 15 and a half years as well; and for his crew to kinda honor him as well because they hadn’t had the chance to meet him yet. 

And then it sounds like he says that if it wasn’t for covid Jensen would have gone by the set many times but it’s not too clear because MR interrupts him. Goddangit, Rosenbaum I get you gotta keep it moving and you gotta be feeling like you’re a third wheel in a two person conversation but just let the man gush about his husband for 20 mins. 

MR says it’s amazing cause usually the last person you wanna see is the one you saw every day for 15yrs. Jared says Jensen’s a phenomenal director, actor, everything, he can do whatever he wants and do it with ease. x

For an extra punch in the feels let me go ahead and remind y’all about Jensen’s birthday message to Jared last year where he said Jared can walk on water ❤️

There’s a weird transition with MR asking about any new fights. Guess he had to come up with something to change the tone after Jared just gushed about Jensen.

How was it with Jensen directing, any tricks or pranks played? It was awesome. Being able to show off his buddy, his partner in crime, his brother of many years; they had a bunch of pranks planned, some had to get kinda shelved because of covid restrictions, but they had different chair back names for each of his days. x

Fav thing about doing conventions? His favorite thing is catching up with people he’s known for a long time and some brand new people about something he’s really passionate about; it’s like walking into a restaurant and finding out someone is a fan of your fav football team or band- it’s a connection and it’s like catching up with old friends.That as he’s getting older it’s those small connections between people that really excite him. What excites him the most about cons is a. seeing a lot of the fandom, some new, some long standing and b. seeing people he’s worked with and talking about a scene they filmed back in 2008. x

Would he go back and do another Gilmore Girls show like Netflix did a few years ago? He says yes. And also shows off his gray beard hairs 😍

MR mentions he’s thinking of lightening his hair, and Jared shares the story about how one day it was just him and O in the hottub, and she was giving him a hug and she likes to scratch at his beard and he was thinking this is the most amazing thing until she pointed out the white hair patch on his beard and mentally he just went ‘ah fuck’ 😂

Advice he would give his younger self? Live life as if life is long. Meaning enjoy it, let relationships grow, let yourself grow. x

Both j2 keep talking about how the book isn’t closed on spn, how unclosed is it? 

The book is not closed on SPN, obviously there’s a prequel coming up but beyond that as far as Jared playing Sam and Jensen playing Dean, if a new book is released he thinks he would be excited to help tell that story. x

There is talk about the prequel. MR asks if the dust has settled about it. Did they talk and have a laugh about it?

Jared says they had a laugh and a cry. They linked up and talked on the phone. That he loves Jensen and he has no doubt Jensen loves him back. They both rather things had gone down a different way but they didn’t and it’s not productive to say whose to blame and what happened that when you’re in a relationship with somebody it’s once you go through a hardship and your instinct goes I want to make this right or I wanna say goodbye to this and they both figured the former, they wanted to make it right. x

This is pretty much the same thing Jared said at a con a couple years ago, and it’s advice he gives to couples, that when your relationship is tested that’s when you find out if it’s worth it or not.

Jared also wants to be really abundantly clear, because he sees the twitter trolls, that nobody believes in Jensen more than he does. x

I know some people aren’t going to listen but Jared is sending a very clear message there. 

To wrap it up MR asks what’s next? Jared replies: a nap. Those were his plans after this call finished to take a nap. Small conversation ensues about preferred napping clothing he says he naps in like the under armour sweats, the ones that are alleged to help with circulation. He likes being cozy so he doesn’t sleep or nap naked, he wants his shell. x

Jared Saturday Solo Panel JIB11

We start with a fan letting him know that they love the music on Walker (same!) and that they like this vers more than the original Walker, Texas Ranger. Jared says thank you, that he's not the person who picks the music for the show but thank you in their behalf, and that it was an interesting kind of transition from Sam to Walker that he had many months during the pandemic because when Jensen and he were send home from Van for the pandemic he already knew basically the entire last episode and a half which they had left to film of SPN and so he was able to work for like 5 months trying to figure out the character of Cordell Walker. He also says that a lot of what he does on Walker he wouldn't have been comfortable doing before working with Jensen (💕). That seeing Jensen kind of have fun with scenes and kinda make it his own, he really kinda took notes of that subconsciously and now he's just having a good time and he hopes he gets to keep doing it. x

Is there any difference between how he gets into the role of Walker and how he used to get into the role of Sam? Logistically, no. He has an idea of who Cordell Walker is and he had a pretty decent idea of who Sam is, he feels like in a couple of days time he could easily get back into Sam that he could do Sam right now. His method is kind of the same, it's remained the same since he was the og Dean on Gilmore Girls, but he just kinda reads it, lets it swim around and then he gets to set and throws it all away and sees what works. So in general he'll read a script many times in a row and then on the day he's filming those scenes he'll just work on those scenes, and then somedays he'll get to set and they're supposed to shoot a scene where they're walking down the street and in your head you'll like plan it out but then you get to the location where you're filming and you realize that you're not walking that far- that he feels like if we were to grab the script for any of the Walker episodes and then watch the episode there's a lot of words and lines that we wouldn't see. That they just kinda bob and weave and flow so that's been really nice to do but otherwise it's been very similar. x

If Sam had died what would have been his goodbye speech to Dean?

He thinks Sam's speech to Dean would have been a combination of what he said to Dean in Fresh Blood, what he said to him in Sacrifice, and what he said to him in Prophet and Loss kind of a combination of those three but he thinks Sam would have also said to Dean, even if Sam was the one who was gonna bleed out and die, he would have said "it's okay, you can go". He thinks Sam knew, and might know again, that Dean wouldn't have lived a long life without him, in his opinion, he thinks Dean was around keeping his brother safe and Dean knew that he wanted to be there for Sam and he also knew that Sam had something else other than hunting that he was destined to do. He shares that when he, Jeremy Carver, Bob Singer, and Jensen sat down together before s15 and talked about the finale in his head Sam was going to be the one to die. That that's it's own tragedy where Dean brought his brother back to hunt and be part of the life, and he thought it would be so interesting to see Dean have to cope with the idea that Sam died because Dean brought him back into the life. When he says this the audience reacts and sadly goes awww and he sees he wants to see it, that maybe we will. He thinks Sam would have tried to make sure "hey dude I know you've been here for me sacrificed a lot for me when you need to go just go i'll be waiting for you" 😭

Real quick, some of you will have noticed the Jeremy Carver mention. That's not a mistake on my part! That's what Jared said. Can't blame him, Carver wasn't perfect but I too wish it had been him with us at the end instead of Dabb. x

Any plans to make Walker and Walker Independence available on tv outside of the US? The short answer is hell yes, the shorter answer is he has zero votes on that executive producer or not. He would love for it to be available everywhere he thinks Windy is such a beautiful show and he's obviously so proud of Walker and he's done so much work on it, he says he actually tried the previous night when he got back from dinner to re-watch the latest episodes cause his body was at like 2pm Texas time and he had watched the eps live but it was in the airport lounge in Atlanta, but it wouldn't let him watch it cause he's in Italy. Get a VPN my boy!

That if he knew who to call he would call them, write them a long letter. x

If Sam and Dean were to go completely solo hunting during the course of SPN who would make it closest to s15? Dean was more run and gun style, Sam was more let me try and research and figure out the best way to approach this style, and Sam had to be possessed by Meg, be possessed by Lucifer, by Gadreel/Ezekiel. And Dean got killed by rebar that didn't move. 😂 Sam. x

What was the hardest emotional scene for him to shoot on Walker?

He thinks it was s1 episode 9 the flashback of Captain James pulling back the sheet off of dead Emily. Steve Robin who directed it wouldn't let him see G once her makeup was done and so he made the whole crew get quiet and they had like a minimal skeleton crew they call it, so the first time Jared saw G was that first take and Coby Bell broke and Odette Annabelle broke down in tears, and he was a wreck. That was hard, that it sucked and it was tough. Sure, I believe you buddy.....🤨 x

If he was a professional wrestler what would be his ring name?

He starts to answer Moose but there's actually already a professional wrestler called that! When the fan informs him of this he says 'fuck him' 😂 And when the fan asks if he thinks he could beat him in a fight that this wrestler is a pretty big dude (I looked him up out of curiosity he is big) he says "did you not just hear? I beat Lucifer and God" 😂 There are some Polish fans in the crowd so he asks him how you say Moose in Polish, and then how to say killer in Polish and that's what he goes with; I don't know nearly enough about the Polish language to even attempt to write those two words so y'all are just gonna have to watch the moment.

There's a second part to this question and it's what would be his entrance song. He says before he tore his knee up he was kind of getting back into doing back work and stuff and there's a song from Deadpool, which he confesses he has never seen, but the song Welcome to the Party would be his entrance song. That would make a great entrance song! x

When he found out Sam would kill Rowena was he hoping it'd be the same way he killed Madison? Basically hooking up with her before having to kill her.

Jared says anybody who has had the pleasure of meeting Ruthie loves her, he certainly loves and adores her both as a human being and as a fellow actor so when he read that script that was a though one, and they were at the time in the series when they were kind killing people off and saying goodbye to them and it all sucked. He feels it was appropriately intimate, he thinks it was the right way to do it cause it felt like a connection and he wouldn't have written it any other way. x

As a tallish guy, out of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which of the dwarfs would he be and which would Sam be? He'd be Dopey, and Sam would be Grumpy. x

In the episode Bad Day at Black Rock, there's a scene where Sam falls down, did Jared really hurt his knees when he did that scene? The short answer is no, he didn't hurt his knees. The long answer is there was a stunt pad out of camera, and if you watch the shot you can tell where it is cause it was really big. x

Did they know why Poughkeepsie was such an important word to Sam and Dean, or did they come up with a reason or backstory in their head? It originally came from Bob Singer, and then the second time when he says Poughkeepsie to Dean it was not in the script but he thought it would be a cool thing to add. He says the nerd in him thought it would be the perfect time to close the loop and that a lot of the stuff he does now on Walker and Windy as a producer but also even during SPN, some of the things he likes doing, like the bits during the barn scene of "i cant do this alone" "yes you can""well i don't want to" that was not scripted it was just something he wanted to add, it was a great way to close the circle. He doesn't love acting what he loves is storytelling and stories so he thinks as somebody who enjoyes stories that just seems like pieces of the puzle that final feeling like when you're figuring out where the last pieces of a puzzle go. He loves that feeling and his middle child, Shep, is the same way with Legos or puzzles he'll spend days or weeks buidling this puzzle and then he'll want them to see it and then he'll break it down and Jared was the same way as a child and he continues to be like that he wants to figure it out and then do something else. x

If he were to be on The Boys would he be a part of the boys or the Seven and would he kick Soldier Boy's ass or help him? He doesn't know if he would want to fight Soldier Boy he was mean. He and Kripke have talked a little bit about how he could do it but right now it's not practical logistically. He'd love to be on the show, he'd have to call his mom and tell her not to watch, but he'd love to do it and he thinks it would be fun to link up with Soldier Boy and kind of solve something together. He'd have to be one of the sups. The number of things that I would be willing to do to make this happen!!! x

Who wears the Gucci jacket best? He'd say it's him. He doesn't believe he's ever owned a Gucci jacket and he doesn't know what took him so long. x

How hard was it for him to not draw from Sam when shooting the cage scenes in the beginning of this season of Walker? The thought absolutely crossed his mind. In a weird way he feels like Cordell Walker almost has a bit more of a fuck you attitude than Sam, Walker has a bit of Dean in him of like bring it where as Sam was very much almost academic. Sam is defiant but he's thinking all along about what would be the intelligent way to get out of there, Cordell is a bit more 'well, I guess this is it' but then they bring Liam into the cage, pretty similar to Dean and Sam in the cage- on a personal note that cage was real metal. Often when you see cages it's a lot of firm styrofoam that has been made to look like old iron but this was just iron and concrete and it sucked, and since he was wearing shorts and a thin shirt he couldn't wear pads and that's when he tore his ACL. x

This is so cool! The next fan used to be a handler for Chuck Norris and she told him how well Walker was doing and he asked her to pass along the message that he was so proud! Jared shares that he was invited once to be a part of a con that Chuck Norris was attending but he was out of town so he's still never met the guy. That it's fun to follow in footsteps but also pave your own way so that means a lot. x

What kind of plotlines would he like to see happen in an SPN reboot?There are a lot in his head. He thinks he has expressed how much he would love to that sometime but he feels so protective of what he and Jensen did with SPN and those characters that he feels like he and Jensen would need to have the heaviest hands in the storylines. They never did, they were never producers on SPN, much less EP's. They behaved like producers, however, he really feels like he has some strong toughts on the best way to do it and they have talked about it and shared ideas. He wouldn't want it to be a movie, he would want it to be a 6 to 8 ep, maybe hour and a half, reboot. And he doesn't think that it would be complete without C (yes, it would be) and without Jack, and so many of the beloved characters they had especially towards the end where it would more sense to jump back in. x

What's a lesson he's gotten from a movie that's important to him? The fan mentioned the Lion King and it makes him think about how he wrote his senior graduation English paper on the Lion King, working in Joseph Campbell's Hero's, Myths, and Legends and all the archetypes, and then got to portray a lot of those with SPN.

His senior advanced English placement paper was comparing the Lion King and the Natural with Robert Redford, and talking about the different use of archetypes and the different kind of genres and so he thinks he really loves the classic archetypes in stories, the classic tropes and different takes on them and so he finds himself drawn to stories that have an inherent juxtaposition like the friendly beast, the chewbacca that's scary or the Timon and Pumba that are strange. He thinks he's learned from some of those movies and from some kids movies; he thinks kids movies are very simplistic at their core because they deal with things- and he imagines that people who create and produce kids movies and kid tv shows they understand that certain storylines work like the bully who ends up being a nice guy, or the nerd that ends up being the hero, he thinks humans are all drawn to those tropes so he has learned a lot but now he has to go back and watch and make some notes. x

What aspect of Sam's personality was hardest to act? A lot of Sam came pretty naturally to him and he thinks that's a credit to their writers, he can't tell how many times in the final like 10 seasons of SPN it'd have Sam and Dean show up to a person's house and be like 'hey we wanna ask you about your deceased person' and Sam does his puppy dog eyes but he thinks that's kind of who he is; he thinks it was Sam's version of comedy because he doesn't think Sam was a really funny guy, he just had some funny moments. He thinks Cordell Walker's version of comedy is very similar to his but he thinks Sam's version of comedy was difficult for him to find and maybe that was correct because he doesn't think Sam thought of himself as a funny person kinda more just funny in the moment. So that's probably it. And he once again mentions how nerve racking French Mistake was for him due to the comedy. x

Final question! What his favorite thing about Walker's personality and about Sam's personality? His favorite about Sam's personality was his long game mentality, he kinda helped teach Jared patience. He won't claim he's the most patient person on the planet, he thinks he's allright but Sam always wanted to do things right, to do things the correct way and he was willing to put in the work before attempting so that he wouldn't mess up. His favorite part of Cordell's personality is his sense of humor. He's very similar to himself, he's kind of a goofball and doesn't take himself seriously. Not that Sam took himself seriously, he was dealing with much more serious situations but he loves how Cordell doesn't seem to take himself seriously that it's been fun and it's been a lesson in itself. x

At Rhode Island Comic Con this past weekend there was a moderated Walker panel with Jared, G, Mitch, Keegan, and surprise guest Jake Abel whose name I could not remember, I swear I had to pause for a full minute cause I could only think of him as Adam! 😂 He is joining Walker by playing a character that is the Mayor of Austin’s Chief of Staff, his first episode is this week's upcoming ep.

We're gonna just jump right into the panel.

Jared takes a second to thank Jake because since he was busy filming on set, that gave the rest of them some time off so they could attend the con on Friday. He also introduces the rest of the panel during which some in the crowd shout that they love G and Jared does his jealous husband act ���

Jared pays the mod some compliments, the person moderating is the person behind the website Nerds and Beyond. Jared says he stays up reading her stuff when he probably should be sleeping.

Getting to the questions, what is something Jared loves or that is challenging about being a producer?

He answers that he loves the puzzle, he loves putting together the legos. He was always the kid that would build legos or put together puzzles and then once build would destroy it; he wakes up early and gets to work on the script, and watching casting videos and trying to figure out where the storylines can go. Doing that on Walker and now on Walker Independence the irony for him is that when he worked on spn he would say he wanted to be at home and work less which is the opposite of what happened so now he’s home doing work he loves and is proud of but he gets home at 5 or 6 and he’s exhausted but when this happened in Van he would call G and be like " hey love y’all, miss y'all, I'm gonna go to bed" and be in bed by 6pm but now he gets home and has to deal with the kids and G.

You know what I find funny Jared? It’s that you’ve mentioned this before but usually what you say is that in Van you could grab a beer or just go to sleep. How very interesting that the detail of calling your wife be remembered at this convention with her right next to you 🙃

Anyhows he says a lot of them there have kids then turns to Keegan and says he doesn’t know what he ever complains about, because Keegan doesn't have children, to which he replies his cat. x

The next question is for G, what has it been like working with Jared again, and has there been anything challenging when doing some of the difficult scenes ie. Emily dying, Walker getting tortured?

She says that there’s nothing more beautiful and special than watching your partner and people that you love thrive at what they do and she gets to watch it from the sidelines often and then when she gets to show up in the game and be a teammate there’s nothing she finds more romantic and sexy. To which Jared says that it's great cause she's like "you turn me on" and he'll reply that he's on set and that she'll be winking at him at 5 on set then she wraps and when he gets home from set at 9 all he'll hear from the bedroom is her snoring. I s2g I have seen sitcoms do this type of storyline.

That it’s special but it’s also challenging at times because they obviously (🤨) live together but they also work together that their baseline for how they met was working together so that’s almost their first and best relationship at times but it is challenging. It’s hard not to bring those emotional scenes home like Emily's death.

Also, watching Jared get tortured she says she has a very odd sense of humor and when uncomfortable she’ll laugh hysterically- ma'am that's literally called nervous laughter, it's extremely common and has nothing to do with your sense of humor.

So he’s getting tortured and crying and she’d be laughing. Is that why you couldn't manage any genuine emotion in those scenes? And here I thought it was just due to your natural lack of talent.

But there’s not a day that goes by where she doesn’t feel incredibly grateful when she gets those opportunities to not only be able to wake up and go to bed together and have a beautiful family but also to be able to work on projects. They met because they were both actors on an amazing tv show so she’s so grateful for that experience that led them there and she’s just very grateful and blessed. x

What is something Mitch loves about Abby and Bonham's relationship, and about getting to work with Molly Hagan?

Mitch starts by saying that the day he met Jared was one of the best, most important days of his life. Awww 🥰

He tells Molly all the time that he’s the luckiest man in the business to be able to stand across from her. He shares that when he first met her he asked her if she wanted to go grab something to eat, and this was after they had gotten tested in the production office and she didn't want to take her mask off cause it was the height of the pandemic so she was like 'oh well' and kind of reluctant but he talked her into it and they went to get something to eat, at the time he didn’t know what he was in for and what came is that she’s a hurricane in the best way.

Says he adores her, that what we see on our screens they live in their life. He loves her to death, and she loves him; he’s been working for over 40yrs and this is the best cast, crew, show he’s ever been on.

And he truly means that Jared is such a huge part of his life and to now become part of the Padalecki family because they took them in when Texas had that huge freeze; it was 15 people and 5 dogs living in his house. That they fed them and kept them warm and took the best care of them and he would have frozen to death in his house if it wasn’t for them. That when he called Molly up and told her they were going to go get them and she said thank god, and that with Molly, he just looks at her face when they’re doing a scene and there’s so much going on and it’s glorious. x

At this point, Mark Sheppard pops up to say hi! And after a quick funny exchange with Jared where Mark is like 'sorry, boss!' the panel continues 😂

Jared says Mitch was the first person cast on Walker after him. Anna Fricke and he were talking about the show and character and just setting up his backstory because one of the first parts of creating a show is making a two-page prosaic of what the show will be about, the issues it will tackle, the characters, and once the character of Bonham was written Jared called Anna and told her that he wanted Mitch for the role, and she thought it sounded awesome but she didn't know if they'd actually be able to get him. So Jared called him up to find out what his schedule was looking like and see if he'd be interested, and he didn't even finish pitching the character to him before Mitch was telling him that he'd do it. And this was before contracts were drawn up but he knew Mitch and he knows if he says he was gonna do something he'll do it so from then on out it was the two of them on the cast list. x

Then he also shares the story about how he and G were on their 10yr anniversary and Anna contacted him because she wanted G for the Emily role, and according to G he was looking at her awkwardly and according to Jared she was looking at him like "oh did we just spend too much money on dinner?" She spends hundreds of dollars on clothes to wear around the house yet I'm expected to believe she gives a fuck about spending too much money on some dinner? Jared pls that woman probably doesn't even know the word budget, so he asked her and she supposedly started crying and said "really? of course" and it was like snowing and beautiful and peaceful and quiet what is this a Hallmark movie 🙄

Next question is for Jared and Keegan. How much will the aftermath of what happened to them play into the rest of the seasons and what was it like exploring that trauma for their characters?

To Keegan, Walker has been so good at portraying grief and how people deal with grief especially Cordell's storyline with Emily he finds it so realistic and wholesome, and as an actor, the pursuit of truth is so interesting to him but also as a viewer of Walker it’s been wonderful to see these topics brought up in a beautiful and inclusive way; so the PTSD story really spoke to him as a human being but also as someone who is going through his own stuff in his life like grief and processing trauma so he says hats off to their writers for putting that forward. Also, these are really heavy things on set so it’s really wonderful to have Jared in between scenes keeping things light and fun, and beautiful.

That his experience with Jared has been so wonderful and beautiful, and that Jared in real life really is a constant spectrum of goofball behavior and incredibly smart way of dealing with things that are very hard to talk about so huge reverence for him and the show. Moving forward they do deal with the trauma, and it does impact storylines in a way that he feels is very truthful and honest.

Jared concurs, and shares more about the casting process. They got casting videos from all over the place and they were looking for someone that wouldn't just fit the role but also be willing to relocate to Austin if needed, and they must have watched hundreds of casting videos. Says that luckily he was home and could use them as an excuse to not help G watch the kids. Not even gonna say it, y'all know what I'm thinking.

And of the ones they saw Keegan was number one but they didn't know if he was available and willing to move cause he was based in Cali but it became obvious he was the right character. In a lot of shows, you know someone is the right person and you hope you’re the right person as well, and then gradually certain strengths come up and the way Keegan bodies that emotional availability with strength like that was maybe the initial idea of the show, of their version of Walker. It’s about someone super strong when they need to be but also someone who will be emotionally available and kind. He would say he wants Cordell Walker to be like Dwayne the Rock Johnson or Hugh Jackman they're built and they're strong and they could crush you but they're also goofy.

He thinks they all knew this was the season like they’re all in place to approach this and the audience now knows them enough to trust them with these types of storylines says you don’t wanna lead a pilot with a torture sequence and grief that leave you thinking 'I don’t wanna watch this shit I’ll cry', sir did you forget what happens in your own pilot? Your character is in a depression because he hears his wife get murdered. I mean, I didn't cry either but still...

He says that 39 episodes in their audience trusts them enough to approach this, and that’s kinda why they started this season as such and have continued on; it’s messy, the truth is messy Cordell is a caring parent and grief-stricken widow and he makes mistakes like the one he did in the last episode. x

Jake time! He was supposed to be a big reveal but people already knew of his involvement because he had partially appeared in the background of a video that Keegan posted. He was told to say he was shadowing a director, which is true he has been shadowing one of the directors, and then he posted a picture from a trailer but everyone recognized the couch so to muddy the waters he changed the geolocation to Atlanta but he didn’t know MC was filming in Atlanta at the time and that started this whole back and forth amongst the fans.

Real quick, in case anybody doesn't know what shadowing a director means it's basically an apprenticeship, you get to follow a director around and learn about the process of filming and directing, in this case, a show.

Jared says Jake’s character will be introduced this season on Thursday's new ep (at the time that I am posting this that would be tonight's episode), that they had a character who is getting introduced in s3 and Jake fit in perfectly. He’s a wonderful actor, he would fit anything perfectly but this was like when Jared saw it he knew Jake was the perfect person for the role. He lives with his family in Austin as well so he reached out - and at this point Jake interrupts to say "which meant I was cheap because you didn’t have to fly me in" 😂

Jared, continues and says he has wanted to work with him again for like 10yrs. That Jake's a filmmaker at heart, the way he dissects a scene and character and storyline is very much from filmmaking and he’s been that way since he was in s6 or whatever of spn that he would see Jensen and Jared doing their thing and he’d be like "what about doing this?" And they’d be like "that makes perfect sense, badass we have somebody here who is working from the top down as well as from the bottom up like from the character up"

Which makes Jake say "top to bottom is that what you said?" so Jared replies that Jake’s definitely a bottom...💀 Well it takes one to know one.

Continuing on with the story! Jared contact him and told him he’d love for him to direct an ep of Walker and for him to shadow a director and that it just so happens that there was a perfect character for him to play since he’s there.

Jake says he was at Home Depot when he got the call 😆

At that moment in time, he had just moved to Austin, he’d only been there for four months so getting this call and this opportunity just felt right because he was starting a new home in a new city and there was family calling him saying 'hey do you wanna drive down the street and hang out again?' and sometimes in life you take this big risks and you don’t know if they’re gonna be the right thing but you feel the pulse so you pull the trigger and so getting that call to him was immediate feedback of this: uplifting his life and his family and moving to this place so they could have a different lifestyle for a while was the right call to make. He says the crew and cast for this show are unlike anything he’s ever worked on before and that’s coming from spn which also had an incredible cast and crew. Everyone is so professional and they work so quick and he couldn’t be happier. x

What has been their favorite plotline or twist from the series?

Jared says there have been several but he thinks this year's one is his favorite because it goes back even before what was seen in s1. Interesting 👀

He thinks s1 was awesome because while they were figuring out what was going on with Emily, and Walker's time undercover and being betrayed by a friend ultimately that little twist and turn from going from the character of Callie at the poker game to figuring out what really happened was pretty awesome, and pretty fun to play the big standoff with the Walker family and Stan Morrison. He loved all the Northside Nation stuff, and then s2 Serano was also a lot of fun but he thinks s3 and where they are going with it is his favorite. They’re figuring out what they can do and do well, and what fans respond to and says comments and questions are seen and can be listened to and are listened to so they’re figuring out their strengths. x

What has the response been like for the show? 

Jared says it’s been wonderful. That it's been fun, and what’s really funny is for 15yrs of spn a lot of times when he’d be talking to people about what he does they wouldn’t be familiar with it so they'd say that they have young kids who can watch it or something like that and he’d be like 'nah, no wait 10yrs' but with Walker, anybody can watch the show and so it spreads a wider net so they meet people who say they’ve never seen spn or Star Trek or Harry Potter but they really dig this show, and they have kids so he has really enjoyed making a family show. He adds not that spn wan’t about a family but this isn’t gonna give children nightmares. Although the pilot did apparently give their kid nightmares, they were sitting watching the pilot and kept checking on the kids and suddenly Shep got all pale and ran out, and he was in the furthest corner of the yard crying. And he asked them why G always has to die and why if Jared's the boss he has to kill her. x

Last question, what can fans look forward to for the rest of s3? What are we going to see? 

Jared says we start with Jake, we see relationships build, relationships questioned, feeling a bit more grief but not like tortured in a cell which btw did beat the shit out of them cause the cell was actual steel so because he was in running shorts there were no knee pads and he got really banged up. He’d get home from work limping around. Other things we'll see in this season are friendships forged, and decisions questioned and he thinks we see a lot of what all humans go through trying to do the right thing and trying to trust your instinct but you need to question that instinct to make sure you’re not missing anything.

Jake asks if he would say the twists are 360s? And Jared says we see a lot of 360s. So Jared explains the joke cause it’s an inside joke. This started with Jensen and him on spn cause sometimes they’d have a 16hour day so they’d go to work at noon and it would be 3am and they’d both be waiting for them to knock on their trailer door (👀) to say it was time to go to work so the only way they could kinda make each other stay awake without chugging coffee would be like ‘hey we’re doing a double take’ so the challenge was that during a scene they’d do a double take and then turn 360 and Jared has sort of taken that over to Walker. They do this thing were you walk in and when you go to walk out you turn and do a 360.

Keegan says Jared puts a 360 into every episode. Sometimes they get cut but Jared asks for them to put them back in 😆 Jake says he hadn't known that was a thing but we'll see on Thursday that he got a 360. x
