Does it still frustrate anyone else that Sam was villainized and ostracized for his mistakes but Dean was sympathized with and supported for his? I realize that Sam's were in the early days of the show when the story telling was still fresh and nuanced, but it's so blatant that they must have realized what they were doing when they had Sam and Castiel treating Dean like a victim rather than the perpetrator of his own bad choices.

I’m finally okay with admitting this and I don’t care about the backlash this might get but I’m being so serious when I say that Castiel does nothing for me. He was good in seasons 4/5. Tolerable at best in seasons 6/7. They really amped up his storyline in season 8 but to be honest I cared more about Sam and Dean (obviously) than anything, and by the end of the season he just annoyed me. Season 9 was the confirmation I needed that I just did not like him 💀. He’s more annoying to me than likable and that just takes me out of the show a little bit and why I (sometimes) skip some parts that he’s in. (Like the whole storyline of him sleeping with the possessed angel woman while he was homeless, that just gave me weird vibes LMAO)(to be fair he didn’t know but it was just so fucking WEIRD).
I have a list of reasons why I don’t like him and why I probably never will but oh well.

Unpopularish spn opinions? First watch
Dean should have never forgiven Castiel for breaking Sam's wall. It was OOC and cringe for me that he kept the trenchcoat for me. What Castiel did was irredeemable because if he just wanted to only incapacitate Sam and Dean he could have done so many other things (he's an angel) instead of doing something that scarred Sam mentally forever.
Adding on to that Cas gets away with things way too easily both by other characters and the story writing. He messes up so many times (Godstiel, Leviathan, breaking Sam's wall, making the angels fall, letting Lucifer out willingly) and gets so much less shit from it than characters like Sam do for their mistakes.
I think that the best seasons from the carver era were actually s8 and s10. The story had some so-so moments with unexplored potential for 10, but I found the brother's relationship to be very compelling that season as I feel that it was the season that was where their relationship was maybe at the most tense.
S11 has some great single episodes (Baby, Red meat, Safe house, that episode with bobby and rufus) but the overall Amara and God storyline was weird and kind of cheesy. Amara also just didn't really do anything for most of the season. I think its a little overrated but god the brother moments were so good and healing to watch after 10 and 9.
The angels and demons after season 8 are just cringe and painful to watch. I can't take them seriously at all.
This last one I feel is going to be controversial but the Found Family is an idea that is present in the supernatural but it is far from the main theme/message of SPN. And I think that people exaggerate its importance.

In 5.02 after Cas helped puppeteer Sam and Dean into releasing Lucifer, Cas said "You failed. You and your brother destroyed the world" and then in 13.22 after Cas let Lucifer out of the Cage, knowing that Sam had unequivocally said No, Cas said "We let Lucifer out of the Cage, and he has never stopped being our responsibility" and I'm just kinda bitter about that you know?

Just sitting and thinking about how Cas leaves the show in a tidal-wave of black goo, while Dean looks like he’s trying to remember if he left the coffeemaker on. Whereas Dean goes on to profess that he loves his baby brother so much as he dies. Then the brothers reunite on that bridge in a heaven that is now perfect to Dean.

Dean: Oh, by the way, if you ever speak disrespectfully again about my brother, I’ll kill you. Sorry, that sounded like a joke. I will ACTUALLY kill you.

I need holy water for my eyes. I hate how I’ll have spn stuff recommend to me on Pinterest and so much of it is destiel. I just saw a destiel post saying what if Dean and castiel got together and Cas wears the Samulet while Dean wears Cas’s grace in a bottle.
wtf. In canon Dean immediately tells Cas to give the necklace back after reluctantly giving it in s5. Also Deans necklace isn’t just Deans necklace. It’s special because SAM gave it to dean. It’s a symbol of the brothers love and commitment to each other to quote that one girl from the musical ep. Why the heck would he give that to cas. Either this fan is seriously committed to erasing Sam or they started the show at s4.

Confession:
"Castiel (GoE) annoyed me so much in the first episodes that I don't think I will ever be able to make him a LI- he will be an enemy in my MC's story till the end 😭😭😭"

Cracking up that every comment that mentions TW gets soo downvoted lmao. Even a lot of the ones saying they want more spn have more downvotes. But the ones asking for more TW are just majority 👎
Not just The Winchesters, comments wanting Wayward Sisters are also being downvoted! Then, there's these wise commenters:

Also on this track, now i'm thinking about how castiel LET himself be possessed by lucifer, BRINGING LUCIFER INTO THE WORLD, after Sam sacrificed himseld and was tortured for hundreds(?) of years in the cage. Not to mention the r*pe jokes that lucifer/hallucifer kept making at sam, it's horrible that castiel let him into the world and I think that dean and sam should NOT have forgiven him for it.

I don't think I'll ever get over shippers trying to make Castiel watching Dean sleep this big ~*romantic*~ thing.
Oh, Dean has always had to look out for himself imagine how comforted he'd be by a creature that doesn't sleep watching over him so he can finally relax with someone he trusts!!! I.e. the usual damseling bullshit, where Dean is an inept YA heroine just desperate for some love interest to come along and ~*save*~ him.
Which tropes I hate are whatever, but we literally saw exactly how canon Dean felt about Castiel invading his space and watching him sleep. He was edgy and pissed off! It only gets worse when he tells Castiel off for doing it in a way that informs us he explicitly asked the angel to knock it the fuck off because it creeped him out - and like an obsessed stalker who doesn't care about their target's feelings, Castiel kept doing it anyway. Ignoring boundaries, oh so ~*romantic*~! Which doesn't even get into how trustworthy canon Castiel is emphatically not in so, so many other ways.
Seriously, someone please make the gay version of Twilight so they'll go watch something they'd actually like and leave Dean Winchester alone.

So, I've been thinking of how hellers celebrate November 5th for the past three years. Seeing that's the date of castiel's death(finally, should have been gone long before this episode), you would think they would crawl back into their holes and bawl over his death. Yet they make new memes, celebrate and annoy the other 99% of the fandom.
His death is like the major thing that happened in that episode of Supernatural that aired on that date.
Sure, castiel had his big PLATONIC declaration of love for Dean. Yeah, he loved Dean as a brother. He loved how he taught him so much about humans. How to love and have emotions. Dean taught him so much about be free to make his own decisions and free will. Heck, Dean even helped castiel when he was nothing more than a human working at a Gas-N-Sip and had a crush on his FEMALE boss. He asked Dean for advice when he thought she was asking him to out on a date.
Even as a genderless angel, castiel always liked WOMEN. There was so much obvious sexual tension between him and the demon Meg. Megstiel even went cannon. They shared a passionate kiss. Meg even gave up her demon ways to pretend to be a nurse in order to stay with castiel in the mental hospital after he took on Sam's mental health issues from him purposely opening the wall in Sam's mind that was stopping him from feeling what his soul went through in hell locked in the cage with Lucifer.
Their delusional ship crashed and burned for good on November 5th. It never was and will be cannon.
They badly need to deal with the fact that Dean was/is 100% cannon straight and always will be. Jensen has said time and time again Dean is straight and that's how he played him. Eric Kripke himself and show writers have said Dean is straight.
It doesn't help that misha collins will not stand up and make them stop. Instead, he eggs them on with their delusions and panders to their sick, twisted delusional ship. He should be ashamed of how his actions has affected his co worker that he claims is his friend. Jensen looks like he would rather be anywhere else them is a photo op with misha, especially if hellers are trying to push destiel in the op.
I say we start making memes commemorating castiels death and post them all over social media on November 5th next year. Nothing mean just posts/memes in his memory.
