A not so friendly reminder that this acc will never be pro Blackpink or a fan of them. The girls, their music and their entire career is literally the definition of anti feminism, rich privilege and capitalism. I could go on and on about how their skills as idols are sub par - musically - and only Rose is the one who has musical talents or skills (And I’m only basing these opinions from what I’ve seen and researched, from what the group has shown the audience). The girls are great nice friends and all, but their music and the way they’re promoted is what I’m mainly against + their live performances. They’re this perfectly constructed group with the image of ‘badass independent girls’ and once you peel off this image, you realize that they’re pretty average (skill wise) and not so empowering, like many people claim them to be. Their songs are all about how they’re better than other women, richer than them and practically calls them ‘liars’ in one of their songs. There’s nothing empowering about flaunting wealth and fame in every song - no boasting of their singing, their awards, their musical capability. No all songs are about boasting money/fame and shaming other women. That’s just plain misogyny, not like other girls and pick me vibes. I’m not gonna go on the topic of them being racist and not apologizing for it because then it’s gonna be a crazy long post and people are gonna argue that all k groups do racist shit, which yea they all do so I’m not gonna villainize them alone. I’m not even gonna get into their toxic fandom who attacks everyone, is constantly exposing people’s addresses and have sent death and rape threats to a FUCKING BABY. There is a reason why blinks are so arrogant and toxic - when bp’s entire music revolves around the fact that they are better than other women and are fighting non existence ‘haters’, their fandom is expected to turn out toxic. When all you teach is anti feminism disguised as ‘empowerment’ and rich privilege, the people that follow you are bound to turn out toxic as well. Plus the way the company constantly promotes them is a reason too. I just wish the girls admitted to their and their fandoms faults.

Nothing triggers me more than "Sam is the cool uncle, Destiel are the parents and Jack is the child." NAH NAH NAH HONEY. Listen here. Dean was not a parent to Jack - at least not until Jack was going to die. He literally said he wasn't part of the family, tried to kill him and treated him like trash. Sure, he and Sam did pull a stunt of locking him but again, I'm pretty sure you saw what happened so I don't need to explain myself.
Castiel and Sam were Jack's parents. This has nothing to do with me liking Sam x Castiel. Far from that. It's me noticing the difference between toxic and loving parents. And Cass and Sam both gave Jack love. Castiel and Sam loved Jack for who he was. Lucifer's kid? Yeah they don't care. Dean was quick to judge. Who understood Jack? SAM. demon blood yall?
Not saying Dean didn't redeem himself because he did. I am happy Dean finally noticed that Jack wasn't evil and actually was glad to see him part of their family after a bit. I'm just tired of people saying "Dean and Cass are Jack's parents." Just because of your ship 🤡 like I'm sorry loves but no. That's not really how it works. <3333
Many people will take offense but oh well.
I am a bit rusty on my knowledge but I am 100% sure this is how it went down so like 💀

The absolute nerve of people to whine about ‘misogyny’ when Rose is caught doing drugs but the fact that her fandom is regularly calling other female idols sluts, shaming, misgendering bts and joke about them being rapists. Somehow women are victim only when it comes to blackpink but other female idols aren’t victims of misogynist attacks by bp’s fandom?? Make it make sense. I just saw an article trying to victimize Rose and how people exposing her for ‘allegedly’ doing drugs (literally not even exposing, the photo is right there lmao) is misogyny and evidence of how women suffer in the industry. Like can you imagine being that brain dead? Can you imagine using what female idols go through to defend your fav who’s in the wrong? Blinks always have to make Bp the victims. It’s an insult to actual female idols who’ve suffered due to their gender and trying to use what they’ve gone through to defend your fav is disgusting asf. The fact that if it was ANY other idol like twice or Mamamoo, Blinks would’ve been the first person to trend hate against them. But when it comes to their own favs, everyone is suddenly silent??? Literally blows my mind the amount of stuff Bp is allowed to get away with while other idols are dragged through hell. Don’t even get me started on their misogynist songs.

F&B Chapter 2 thoughts:
Completely unserious opening. "King Aegon's 37 year reign was super peaceful if you ignore that it was founded on 2 genocides & setting everything on fire till all your other future subjects give up in fear. You also need to ignore the near 2 decades of war at its start. Those last actual 2 decades though? Practically a utopia!"
Once again: I feel bad for everyone forced to lose because One-gon & his much cooler sisters had dragons. You don't "take advantage of the chaos of Aegon's Conquest" to name yourselves independent if you actually want to be under his rule. They had a whole queen, a named queen, & then here came the literal whole navy & Visenya to threaten the Sistermen into submission. And then we see a queen regnant getting violently deposed by her own men & needlessly brutalized &/or humiliated for her trouble a second time. Marla Sunderland deserved better. Why the fuck did she get her tongue cut out 5 years after the fact, George? And the framing of Steffon Sunderland's sons being fostered with the Manderlys & the Arryns. "He handed them over for his good behavior," they were hostages & probably straight up yoinked. I hope Maester Gyldayn was compensated for his work, because this man was in the trenches trying to make the Targs look good.
The Ironborn have never known how to act, & I love them. Straight up murdering each other for a whole year bc their royal family for the last few centuries got turned into a brick oven pizza in one (1) night. Babes, just reinstate the kingsmoot. Also, I'm willing to believe that Lodos killed himself, but "thousands followed" is so fucking vague. The thousands who drowned with him were definitely killed for the crime of not wanting to live under One-gon/being potential dissidents who would rise up & start this shit over again.
Laughing eternally that everyone keeps clapping when One-gon shows up. "There were so few Ironmen left after a year of killing each other that they didn't resist. Also everyone cheered, they totally wanted to be under Valyrian rule!"
Stan Dorne, we love a Russian Winter Strategy. Also their ousting of Aegon's dudes after he was all "since they aren't here, I won & I'm taking their stuff" is the funniest fucking thing. "The Dornish Lords had a wager to see who could keep people alive longest while torturing them," be for real my dude, I know you pulled that out of your ass just to vilanize them & appease Aerys. This section is peak comedy, & full of icons. We love actually using our brains ❤️
YouExpectMeToFeelSorryForThatBitch.gif (you can decide who this is about, but if you name someone from Dorne you chose wrong)
Hey George, after all those back & forth war crimes bc Rhaenys fucked around & found out I'm gonna need to know tf was in that letter Prince Nymor wrote. You don't need to tell anyone else, just whisper it in my ear & I will take it to the grave. I just want to know what ended all of that, because good Lord. Everyone made the Conqueror Trio's refusal to get off Princess Meria's lawn every person on the respective opposing side's problem. I'm not going to fault Dorne for wanting them out, because context & also no one wanted the Targs around, but dadgum. Both sides were doing the absolute most (also I am not surprised that Aerys was more willing to have beastiality explained to his baby son than why the people of Dorne maybe hated them)
The "Dornish Courage" mockery thing are the words of bitter little haters who are just mad they didn't have the brain power to do what Meria did. Once again: what an icon. Stan Meria Martell.

the subtype of moffat fan that replies to any criticism of moffat not by defending him but by instead attacking other showrunners to prove that he's 'at least not the worst' or something.. they ALWAYS love to pull the 'moffat wrote the best eps in RTD era anyway' card and then they without fail point to blink. and i'm really sorry but you actually think an episode that had the unironic line "sad is happy for deep people" (like. we weren't supposed to laugh at that???) and was a very blatant & transparent excuse to shove the black main character completely out of the narrative with barely 5 mins of screentime and shove in moffat's genuinely embarrassing little white girl OC is better writing than midnight?? like you're not even coming close to making ME believe that blink is better than midnight, im fucking struggling to believe YOU actually believe that blink is better than midnight.

So for how many issues/booking are we supposed to sit through until this long-awaited "new era" of Tim Drake finally growing up and getting a new non-Robin-related identity arrive?
Because there is a long ass line of children who want to have their turn as Robin and having this grown ass man repeating the same line about "I think maybe, just maybe, I may FINALLY be ready to grow up, not now of course, but maybe in the NEXT era :) " without it going anywhere is getting real boring.

Wow, I can’t believe that Mamma Mia 2 was less gay than the original. What. What was that?
The first movie was made in 2008 so you kind of understand why Harry’s romance was so rushed. I assumed the sequel would’ve taken the opportunity to correct that error by giving him a proper romantic story arc, but he gets nothing? You wouldn’t even know he was gay if you didn’t watch the first movie. Literally everyone else in Mamma Mia 2 gets a romance, even Cher who only appears at the end.

There is something really bothering me in the show, why there is an obsession in turning every relationship abusive? Viserys/Alicent wasn't abusive in the book, Aegon/Helaena wasn't abusive and if Aegon was an asshole to his wife grrm will not shy away from writing it down (we have seen it with other targaryen men) Daemon was ambitious and his ambition was one of the reasons why get with Rhaenyra but he will never physically abuse her and Rhaenyra will never allow it she literally wanted him to be in jail just because she believed he has cheated on her let alone hit her lmao even Larys/Alicent there is no mention in the book that larys was a creep and the way his scene with Alicen screams ableism. Like I would never understand why Ryan thought it would be a good idea to make every fucking female character get abused 💀
the answer is ✨ misogyny ✨ anon
f&b has misogyny as a theme and I swear to god, nobody and nothing can convince me that Ryan read that book. He probably saw a mention of this and thought "oh okay, I can do women suffering. Easy!"
When it came to the dance era, the misogyny we saw was mostly towards Rhaneyra, since she was challenging the system by fighting for her rightful claim.
There were some "softer" instances that people brash over, for instance Alicent being rumored to be fucking the old King, the Viserys, then losing her virginity to Daemon out of revenge. Alicent probably didn't do much to stir though rumors. She just existed, interacted with some men and because mushroom is delusional and the maesters women-haters they threw ideas here and there. Of course whatever rumors she had at the start are brushed over extremely quickly, so I can see why nobody even brings it up. Whereas with Rhaneyra they're always present because the maesters are very biased.
But you're completely right, Viserys& Alicent didn't have a single hint that could indicate their marriage to be abusive.
Rhaenyra & Daemon may have had their drama during the war but Rhaneyra was a prideful woman and she would have never let daemon talk to her - let alone touch her, the way the show portrayed him to do so.
Aegon & Helaena's marriage is also not really reported other than it happened and it led to children. The end. Everything else is brushed over and Helaena and her kids exist to die and push further the story. But again, no mention of abuse or mistreatment. At best you could claim indifference. But even that it's a matter of interpretation.
And yeah Larys wasn't a weirdo in canon and I'm honest surprised how the casual albeism in the show did very little noise 💀
Ryan and the team probably think misogyny = women being treated terribly by their significant other + trauma.
Writing it about it being systematic and having a female character at a disadvantage while being theoretically in a position of power is far too challenging for him, hence why we got this salad of mess
