METAMORPHOSIS -finnick odair

The capital has a way of messing up with your head. Finnick saw it happen to him, he saw it happen to Peeta and worst of all, he had to see it happen to you too

GENRE: Angst

PAIRING: Finnick Odair x gn reader,

WARNING: PTSD, mental illness and abuse, suicidal thoughts, self harm on Finnick's part, reader want through a lot of psychological abuse and physical abuse, Finnick has panic attacks basically very hunger games coated abuses

A/N: back in for a hot minute with the new release of a the ballad of songbirds and snakes! I seem to be pulled back into the hunger games lol however since it's been a pretty long time since I've read or watch the movies this fic is probably not going to be accurate at all! Also I have no idea how to end this fic so I just did it in a hurry. I don't rlly like how it came out but oh well!

You weren't supposed to get taken away

You weren't supposed to fall back down behind, you weren't supposed to be left behind while Finnick was distracted talking to Katniss.

Finnick wasn't supposed to leave you behind, he was supposed to stay by your side just like he promised. He wasn't supposed to let you be taken away and yet your there stuck in the capitol while he lies with wounds all over his body in the 13 district

It should have been him, he thinks, that maybe if he had switch places with you in that moment, that he was right next to you instead of ahead of you, that he would pulled you towards him, maybe..maybe you would be there next to him.

Maybe you would be lieing next to him, perhaps is bruises and wounds as bad as his but atleast the both of you would be safe in each others arms.

Finnick knows that he should get out of his room. The plain cold room with grey walls seem to surround him on all four sides and yet his grief seems to swallow him as a whole

The ringing sound in his ears continue relentlessly and the tremble in his hands refuse to go. He'd find himself picking his scabbed scars and almost healed wounds and waking up in the dead of night screaming. He finds himself scarring his once golden skin which now seemed rusted with red and all of his old wounds once which was kissed by you being reopened at the dead of night.

He screamed screamed for you, every night and even while he was awake he seemed to be mumbling your name over and over again under his breath. As if believing that if he did so that maybe you'd appear infront of him and tell him it's just a bad dream

Sometimes he'd be forced out of his room, sometimes it's by Haymitch or some other person. He couldn't care less, however he was also a beacon of hope for the people maybe not flaming as bright as Katniss the girl on fire but rather hope like the beach waves hitting the shore

But you were different. You were a different kind of hope, not burning bright and flaming with fumes like Katniss or calm and majestic in all its glory like Finnick but you were like moon.

Hope like the moon in the dark night sky guiding travelers for the past million centuries, sailors, prophets and even kings and helping them find way back to their homes, to their solace. You were the light in the dark, a elegant beam of radiance showing way even to a poor man.

You were Finnick's light. The only thing that helped him see, the only time he felt truly like himself not like the capitols charming prince, or the victor from the 4th district but rather just like plain Finnick. The boy who had golden tan skin, hair dry with salty sea water, the boy who smelled like the sea ans the boy he once was before the capitol got a hold of him.

Like the moon's reflection on the ocean bed in the calm, you were a beam of radiance to him that helped him sleep in night, safe and sound..and loved.

He misses you more than he remembered you. And it scared Finnick.

Being forced out was now a usual thing for Finnick. Being forced to sit in a cafeteria with a plate of food which would go cold and remain uneaten.

He usually stayed alone still away from the others which was unlike him but his mind would be plagued with the last look you gave him, his ears repeating your mortifying scream

Sometimes he'd talk to Katniss. She understood him, after all her Peeta was taken away to just you were taken away. Both Finnick and Katniss blamed themselves more than they should have,

He thinks, at first that he is a little envious of Katniss and the way she looks strong. She holds herself in a way he doesn't. He thinks, how does she do it? How does Katniss remain like a fire burning torch when Peeta the person she adores the most is gone like how you were

But then he hears a familiar voice, he sees a all too familiar face across the tv screen and he is immediately filled with desperation and dread. He looks at Peeta's stoic and unmoving face on the tv screen and he feels the tremble beginning in his hands again.

The capitol couldn't have..could they? They wouldn't have- they couldn't have done it. They didn't kill Peeta but..they seemed to have done something even worser

Finnick's thoughts are left troubled when it was disturbed a loud sound of a metallic plate dropping and a cry of despair

He sees Katniss, her tears and the way her hands fly towards her mouth and try to cover her cry.

Thats when he notices the bags under her eyes and the cuts on her hand. He notices the way her heart sank just like his did and he notices the way Katniss called out Peeta's name. He remembers the way she held him in the games and the way she begged him to live

He thinks, maybe they aren't so different at all.

"he's alive..he's alive" Katniss whispers under her breath and Finnick's holds his, his eyes scan the tv screen scanning for your face whi- and he sees it.

Your face in the background, your hair combed and slicked backed tightly into a bun. Your faced filled with white powdery makeup making you look almost as if you were a corpse. Your eyes seemed scarily full and your lips dry.

But you weren't dead, but you didn't really seem alive either.

The fact that you were alive had a unsettling feeling in Finnick but right now he couldn't care, you were alive and breathing

"y/n" Finnick breaths out as he runs towards the screen with no hesitation. His mind is no longer on Katniss or Peeta or the capitol but at you and your face.

His trembling fingers slowly trace your face as he cries your name out repeatedly, he isn't listening to what Peeta is saying or all the commotion in the back

Your alive.

"they're back! Peeta, Johanna and y/n they- they're back"

Finnick runs faster than he has ever done in his entire life.

Faster than he did in the hunger games or faster than he did from the capitol people after they were done with their business with him in their bedrooms.

He throws down whatever he was holding in his hands, leaves whatever thought was occupying his head and runs faster than he ever did

He doesn't care about whether he hit someone or if he was making too much noise. He cried your name out as he ran calling you, searching for you before opening the door with a bang, his eyes red with tears and trembling body.

He sees you in a wheelchair lying lifelessly in the the chair which held your body.

He doesn't notice the way everyone else in the room looks at him, Haymitch, the doctors or nurses or even Johanna who was sitting in a similar wheelchair a few metres away from you. They way they all immediately stood up straight and their body tense, the way their faces were looking at him with pity

Finnick feels as if though he had stopped breathing, every single bone in his body moves automatically. The tears stream across his golden skin as his hands itch to touch you

All he needs is you. All he needs is your touch, your warmth

He runs towards you unaware of the way you tensed up when you saw him, he shouts your name as his hands stretch out to finally hold you, he begs for forgiveness again and again but finds you shaking instead

"Finnick don't go near her- wait Finnick don't" Beetee's immediate warning fails when you start thrashing against Finnick's touch

"y/n?- y/n my love? What's wrong?" Finnick panics as he tries to calm you down as you shout and scream

Just a few seconds ago you were silent and unmoving refusing to speak but here you were with Finnick, screaming and crying trying to get away from him like he was a monster

"my love please-" Finnick begs as his hands touches your face, the panic in his voice and the tears unhidden from anyone. The despair and regret dripping from his words and unhelpful touches which seem to drive you insane even more

"away! Get away from me! I- get away! away!" You try to push Finnick away but your not that strong. You seem to be repeating the same things again and again but you shake your head and scream even louder than before

"Finnick let go of her- don't Finnick!" Finnick's hears the others shouting at him but he can't let you go, not when you don't even recognise him

"it's me- it's me y/n. It's Finnick your sweetheart" his voice cracks at the nickname you gave him, his eyes search for a second of recognition or even love but your eyes are filled with terror and fear

"y/n it's me! I'm here now! I'm sorry I'm never going to let you go- please y/n..it's me" he begs and pleads you but you don't stop resisting against him even going lengths of hitting him with your hands helplessly

"Finnick let go!" Finnick hears Haymitch shout as he pulls him away from you "she isn't the same y/n you know- the capitol played with her mind"

Finnick feels his entire world go cold, his skin gone numb and his brain feels all muddy. There's a dark deep sinking feeling in his gut as he watches you look at him in complete fear, crawling away from him and into the corner of the room hugging yourself

Finnick takes a few steps towards you but is fiercely pushed away by a agitated Johanna "get the fuck away from her Finnick!"

Johanna glares at Finnick alongside with everyone in the room before she runs to the corner you were sobbing in and cradles you in her arms muttering "don't touch us, don't touch us" again and again.

"what- what do you mean? What's going on?" He turns and looks at the faces in the roomwhich was responded with a nervous glance. Finnick feels his blood boil and his anger consume him

"I said what do you mean" he shouts "what the hell happened" his eyebrows furrowed as he watches Betee struggled to form sentences

"we- we don't know exactly what happened" Betee says as he motions towards you and Johanna who was rocking you in her arms, shooting everyone in the room dirty looks still repeating the same words

"but-"

"but what? what...what happened to my y/n why.. why does she seem afraid of me? Why is she scared-" His voice cracks before he began to sob uncontrollably "why?"

The room goes silent and all that could be heard was Finnick's sobs and yours alongside with Johanna's muttering.

Haymitch walks slowly to Finnick and holds him in the shoulder "I think..you should sit down somewhere while we talk about this" he says grimly as he turns around and gives looks at the rest of the people in the room to give them some space

Finnick's breathing is shallow as he listens to Betee. The more he listens the more he wishes that he were dead, that it was all fake. He wishes even more that it was him who was taken into the capitol and regret and anger fills him up

"the capitol obviously wasn't going to let it slide, I mean y/n she- she was the capital's sweetheart. She was one of their favourite victor and seeing her being a part of the uprising? Snow would have never let her or any of them for the fact go unscarred but, we never expected this much"

Betee continues in a whisper, he stops every 2 minutes and looks at Finnick to say something but Finnick would always remain silent and unmoving.

"Johanna she- she's developed this insane fear of water- she was drowned multiple times by the capital and Peeta he..he was also brainwashed. He has developed this insane hatred for Katniss."

"and y/n?" Finnick finally broke his silence "what did they do to her?" You could hear the desperation leaking from his voice, his voice at the verge of breaking

Betee seemed to be hesitant to say, often refusing to make eye contact with Finnick but he sighed and looked straight at him

"y/n was strapped. She was strapped into this machine and they kept on fiddling with her memories. She couldn't differentiate with what was real and what wasnt. They inserted this entire new plot into her head which she now believes some parts of it to be true"

Finnick breathing stopped, a chill ran down his spine as he internally begged that it was not what he was thinking of

Betee looks up to Finnick with sadness and guilt painted in his eyes, he didn't want to break it to Finnick this way. He knew how much it would hurt him

"Finnick" Haymitch says instead, choosing to be the one to break the news to Finnick "y/n, she's scared of you. Just like how Peeta has developed hate for Katniss, y/n has developed fear towards you."

A all too familiar feeling came over Finnick. He was where he was in the beginning. He was nothing but a monster, a killer, a damaged product before you came along and showed him a new path but he had to ruin everything. He had to break you too, he had to ruin you too, it was all his fault

Panic engulfed Finnick as it hit his very core, today was the day he got you back and yet today was also the day he seemed to have forever lost you

"but-" he trembles as he talks "but why- what did they show her? What did I do to her" his breathing becomes fast

"it's not your fault" Haymitch says as Betee nods his head "we're trying to figure that out right now"

"is it only me?" Finnick's blood shot eyes pierce Betee's "am I the only person she's scared of?"

"she's scared of everything and everyone except for Johanna. Johanna was the only one who was there to comfort her but Johanna herself isn't in the right mind right now either" Betee replies

"oh" Finnick's voice is empty and hollow, he doesn't want to ask the question but it seems inevitable "will she ever stop being scared of me?"

Finnick is scared of Betee's answer, his heart hammered agains his chest in panick "do you think..I can get her back?"

Betee purses his lips as he continues "it won't ever be the same Finnick. Y/n.. whatever they implanted in her head has been recognised as real to her now but if we keep on pressing on with the truth maybe" he looks hopefully at Finnick "maybe you could get a piece of her back, not fully but a fragment of her"

"I just..I just want her, I don't care if it's a piece of her or whatever. I just..I want her to be okay"

Betee just nods his head wordlessly as he watches Finnick break down. Right infront of him was probably the strongest person he ever knew, he watched him during his games, watched him become victor and knew everything he went through but he never saw Finnick this broken.

"I'm going to get her back" Finnick says "if that's the last thing I ever do I swear, she's going to be okay"

there's one thing that I don't understand, why was the new writer of Eldarya and MCL took over the writing and made Chino step down while she was the creator ?

Are you referring to Eldarya ANE's writer? No, he has nothing to do with this decision. If you check the credits page you can see that Eldarya has multiple people working on the plotting of the stories:

The creator/art director is the person who has the original idea of the game and characters and makes decisions on how the plot should evolve. The creator basically decides characters' backgrounds, how the story starts, how it ends and main plot points. This person is Chino.

Then there is the proofreader (I guess it's also called product manager?), who is the person that decides what happens in each episode and reads the script of the game written by the writer and makes changes. This is the person that sets the tone of the episode and tells the writer how characters should behave and what kind of interactions they should have. Chino used to do that at the beginning of TO, until the management of the company decided that someone else should take over. This happened I think between episodes 20-22. One of the last things she personally worked on was Leiftan's spin-off, since then she has no idea what's been happening in Eldarya episodes anymore.

Then there is the writer, who is the person who actually writes the whole script, the actual dialogues, but they are lead by the project manager, so they don't make decisions on the plot. This person used to be Hikaru until episode 29 of TO, after that the current writer arrived, they wrote episode 30 and the whole ANE.

That's why, despite Chino having left, episodes 21-29 don't feel extremely different, because at least Hikaru was still there and knew the characters and their personalities, but you can see that the events in the plot had already started to make little sense. That's when Eldarya stopped having any flirting and fluff and we were only given a few random sex scenes, almost as if to tick a box to say yeah this is still a romance game. Also the whole Blue Sacrifice, the LIs' backstories etc plotholes over plotholes because they decided to change the scenarist mid-game. And it's my opinion that the second project manager clearly didn't bother to pay attention to the previous 21 episodes nor try to really understand what was Eldarya's real story. I know this story now (which is what I'm explaining in the fic) and I can say that it really doesn't take an effing genius to follow a simple plot. Nor be consistent with the characters' real personalities.

I am angry with the writer who messed up Lance, Leiftan and Nevra, but in truth the guy only arrived when TO was over, the project manager/proofreader should've told him on the first day "look, this is wrong, you should make the character behave like this instead". Why didn't they do that? Why did the company decide to risk messing up the game by removing the creator and making work someone else on the scenarios? And why make this person work also on another game (uncoven) instead of focusing on the one they had just assigned them? I don't know, I'm not Beemoov's CEO. All this seems so absurd to me, who would ever make such stupid decisions? The same people who decided it made complete sense to remove love interests from otome games apparently 🤡 I'm sorry if I sound really salty. I loved Eldarya with all my heart, I'm never going to get over the fact that this game died because of shitty managerial decisions.

I guess if show didn't treat Marinette as their favorite punching bag and lukanette as a thing to get over with to be back on love square bullshit I wouldn't be this salty. We all knew lukanette isn't a endgame, but we actually care about Luka ans Marinette as characters and as a couple, and we knew there was a break up brewing.

But I mlb writers for setting things up, canonizing them over provocative tweet and leave them to dust right at the beginning of s4. I don't know what's your opinion on soulmate and destiny thing, but I'm totally in opposite. I remember The Good Place (love the series btw!) quote about how soulmates are made with love and nurture of people and not some cosmic forces. And to see how show is pushing for Destiny ™️ I'm kinda disheartened. But I guess I never really liked love square execution in the first place when it turned out that Marinette is butt of the crush joke for 3 seasons and there's 0 development from that. Luka and Juleka were “accidents,” but Anarka kept it a secret from Jagged since Jagged was already hyped up to go on his next tour and Anarka knew their relationship was crumbling (possibly he already dumped her as his guitarist and she was annoyed about it). Jagged eventually learns that he has kids and is hesitant towards the idea, but because of him doting on Marinette (who’s the same age as his kids), he opens up to the idea.

Anarka and Jagged in present are mixed between tolerating each other for the sake of their kids and being chaotic best friends. The bad blood died out a while ago and there’s occasional tension but because Anarka is a single woman not interested in Jagged and Jagged is single with a possible thing for Penny, they make it work

Anarka and Penny have an awkward relationship. Penny wants to schedule time for Jagged to hang with Luka and Juleka and Anarka is confused at the very concept of a schedule, like just take them whenever okay??? isn’t it easier that way??? and Penny is like, “...oh, I guess so?”

Jagged and Penny, it depends on if they’re in any sort of relationship. If they’re in a relationship, Penny is either open to the idea of him learning to be good with kids if she’ll eventually want kids with him, or mixed because these are another woman’s kids and it’s really awkward. If they’re not in a relationship, then Penny could also be mixed since she’s crushing on him but I could also see her either finding it sweet that Jagged wants to hang out with his kids or finding it a hassle to schedule them in.

Jagged and Luka is rough. Luka has so many conflicting feelings on his idol ending up being his father. Jagged will probably even comment on Luka’s shirt + necklace and all of Luka’s merch in an attempt to bond but that kind of comes off desperate/awkward and Luka’s not about that life. I could also see Luka taking all the stuff down and swapping out his shirt, but being hesitant to remove the necklace because it’s a gift from Marinette. He might try to wash off the signature. He knows it’s not Jagged’s fault exactly but Anarka seemed to have bad blood with him and even if they get along now, Luka’s bitter. Jagged meanwhile wants to connect with Luka because hey musician energy!! but is gonna mess up a lot and say a lot of awkward things. Marinette will probably have to be a middle man between the two because it’s easier for them to talk with her around.

Jagged and Juleka don’t have a significant relationship at first. Juleka never care who her father was and she wasn’t crazy about Jagged Stone like Luka was. Jagged does try to connect with her but they clash majorly due to Jagged being so “loud” and Juleka being so quiet. Jagged will see it as a huge accomplishment the day where Juleka says something coherent (i.e: not a mumble) to him.

Yeah though, keep in mind for all of this that I’m not a family relationship kinda girl, so this isn’t my forte (I’m probably the most sympathetic to Jagged out of the whole fandom; not to say I agree with his actions but I have a history of hating babies and children, so not cool of him if he ditched Anarka but like, I get it, doesn’t make him better but I get it from a non-realistic standpoint of “ew, parenting”).

Honestly, I find it really interesting. Plus, it’s Truth who’s being told those things, not Luka, and Truth has other priorities.

And--I mean, I’m positive that Luka got into the relationship knowing that Marinette wasn’t completely over Adrien. She wanted to see if they’d work and he wanted to date her. It’s both of them being a little selfish in a way and I like that.

That’s why I think he doesn’t have a big reaction to the Adrien call. He seems amused more than anything, and Luka is empathetic also so he knows not to take Marinette’s stammering/mistakes to heart because she doesn’t mean them. We already had evidence of that in “Desperada.”

Her words are ignored, how she feels is ignored, because everyone else(including the girl squad, when they're supposed to be her "friends") tells her that she's supposed to be in love with Adrien, and so she "has" to go along with it because ENDGAME. It's the show saying "stupid naive Marinette, you're too immature and dumb to know how you really feel, let someone else do the thinking for you!"

Meanwhile Adrien moving on with Kagami is accepted even when he still flirts with Ladybug(and forces her to build up his ego when he asks her what she admires most about him; I know it was a spur of the moment thing, but meta-wise, it was obvious love square pushing.), because "he's trying to respect her feelings and date someone else!" It's one of the main gripes I have with the show: that teenage girls are too emotional and confused to know what they really want, but teenage boys are mature and rational enough to make up their minds about who they love without holding any animosity towards anyone.

The all-white, all-male writing team pushes the Chinese girl's feelings aside and forces her to hide and erase them if they're not want they want her to feel, while the white boy gets congratulated with a pat on the back for doing the bare minimum and always, ALWAYS, takes the moral high ground(even in superhero form when he's supposedly goofy.). When she's the lead.

"Luka's a second choice, not for Marinette, but for the Miraculous Ladybug world. for the WRITERS!!!“

LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK

It’s just tiring. It’s not even me being sick of the love square, but it being forced into everything when it’s not even relevant. The episode strategically throws more and more of Marinette’s Adrien crush (I did the math, I know this) into the mix and it provides nothing but the same tired jokes. Heck, they keep leaning on the lucky charm Marinette let him borrow (not GAVE, let him BORROW) back in Season 1 because they basically have nothing else to go off of.

Series Summary: Newly discovered talent Aria Campbell get unknowingly assigned to help write Raleigh Carerra’s latest album and rehabilitate his image in the process.

Summary: Aria and Raleigh start settling into the beach house. Things could be going better.

Kidz Bop?! Aria can't decide if she's more mortified or pissed off at Raleigh's response to the prospect of writing his album with her. At 22, she can't be more than 5 years younger than him, maybe less, but she hasn't kept up with his personal details other than catching an occasional tabloid headline. And sure, she might be from a small Midwestern town, but between her outfit, an off the shoulder royal blue top and distressed black jeans, and her long, wavy black hair, she thinks she comes off as cool but not trying too hard. But what if the fact that she thinks that means she's not cool at all? Whatever. Maybe she should just slap a big snake tattoo on her neck and then Raleigh would respect her. Does he think all those dumb tattoos make him edgy? His tattoos are kind of hot though....No, scrub that thought. Raleigh Carerra is proving to be nothing more than the arrogant bad boy the media makes him out to be.

"Okay then..." Aria mutters under her breath, more of a question than a statement.

Fiona glares towards the Escalade. "Just hold on." She charges forward and tries to open Raleigh's door, but of course it's locked. "Hank!" she calls out but he's already anticipating what she wants, unlocking the doors before she asks, and she flings the door open. "Raleigh, get out of the car."

Raleigh scoffs, "I'd rather quit making music than write this sell-out album just to make the label more money. I don't need any of this."

"Have you forgotten that Ellis and the legal team at Overknight Records helped keep you out of jail? It's not too late for charges to be filed. This was the deal. You make this last record, redeem your image, and then you can do whatever the hell you want. Until then, you are going to apologize to this very talented young woman, and then get your ass in that house and start writing with her. Unless you want a felony on your record. You wouldn't look so bad in orange I suppose..."

"Oh, fuck off, Fiona," Raleigh grumbles as he gets back out of the car.

"I'd be glad to, but if you remember our contract, I don't get my bonus until you finish this album. The sooner you finish, the sooner you can be rid of me nagging you all the time. So like I said, get a move on. Oh! Before I forget..." Fiona reaches in her pocket and hands Aria a key and and an archaic looking cell phone and then does the same for Raleigh.

"The fuck is this? I didn't know they still made these." Raleigh pries open the basic flip phone, navigating the limited features. He attempts to key in a number before frustration sets in and he seems about ready to chuck the phone into the ocean. "This piece of shit doesn't text or dial out."

Fiona smiles smugly as the scene unfolds. "Oh it works perfectly fine...but only for approved, pre-programmed numbers."

Curious as to who's in her list, Aria powers up her phone and checks the contacts. Her mom, dad, and sister, as expected, along with some professional contacts including Hank and Fiona. She's pleasantly surprised they included Shane as well. Aria had put him as one of her emergency contacts, so they must trust her judgement as far as he's concerned. Her nerves start to settle ever so slightly with this lifeline.

Looking at his list, Raleigh scoffs and snaps the phone shut. "Is this a joke?" His hardened features are a bit disconcerting, piquing Aria's curiosity.

"I can assure you each of your lists was carefully selected to facilitate your creative process. Now, I'll leave you both to it." Fiona turns and heads in the opposite direction of the beach house.

"Where are you going?" Aria asks, concern creeping into her voice. Normally she doesn't need someone to hold her hand, but these aren't normal circumstances, and she's not quite ready for Fiona to leave her alone. She kind of feels like a kindergartner being dropped off for her first day of school to be honest.

"To the guest house. Where Frank and I are staying," Fiona replies.

"I knew there was something going on between you two." Raleigh chimes in with a devilish grin.

Hank coughs. "That would be unprofessional."

"There are two bedrooms," Fiona adds, rolling her eyes.

Now Aria's panicking a little inside. Or maybe a lot. She's expected to stay alone with this very intimidating celebrity who very well may hate her already?

"Wouldn't it make more sense for us all to stay together? The main house is more than big enough," she suggests .

Fiona lets out a terse laugh. "No. Absolutely not. It's enough that Hank and I have to stay and babysit to ensure this project gets done. We can't be bothered by singing and music playing at all hours. Think of it as a gift that you won't have to consider our sleeping habits while you work."

"I don't care who stays where, but I just need to know where my bed is at. It's 11am, and I should still be sleeping for at least a few more hours yet." Raleigh tilts his head towards the back of the truck, directing Hank. "You can bring my bags to my room." He takes off, the scent of alcohol hanging in the air as he passes.

Must be nice to order people around like that, Aria thinks as she reaches for the bags in the trunk. She's not too good to carry her own luggage.

"Ms. Campbell," Hank places a hand on her arm to stop her. "That's not necessary. Why don't you go inside and start settling in while I bring in your things."

Well, he is offering. It would be rude to turn him down, wouldn't it? Aria follows Raleigh into the house, and not wanting to ruffle any feathers more than she has merely just for existing in his space, she stands back and allows him to select his room first.

While she waits, Aria takes a look around. Although the exterior style of the home hints at its age, the inner design is exactly as modern and kept up as Aria would expect at a place where celebrities stay, with lots of white, shades of blue and blue-green accents, and nautical themed decor scattered about.

In the great room stands a gorgeous white baby grand piano that probably, no definitely, costs more than everything Aria owns combined. Aria steps over, gently striking a key, and for the first time since she signed the contract, begins to allow herself to get excited about making music here.

"Ms. Campbell?" Hank breaks Aria's chain of thought. "Where would you like me to put your things?"

"Oh...I need to pick out my room." She jogs up the stairs ans Hank follows. There are 6 rooms total, three on either side of the corridor. The first two are a bit smaller with bunk beds, so Aria counts them out, but the next two have promise.

As she approaches the last pair, one door is slightly, ajar and she notices Raleigh passed out face down and snoring on the bed already. Of course he would choose the master bedroom for himself, but as Aria looks at the remaining bedroom, she doesn't really mind. Although she considers taking one of the bunk bed rooms just to be as far from him as possible, she cant resist the spacious yet cozy space with a king-size bed and seaside view.

"I'll take this one." Aria directs Frank and he gently places her suitcases on the floor before excusing himself.

Aria kicks of her sandals and plops on the bed, staring up at the textured ceiling. Now that she's alone, she has no idea what to do with herself. Obviously getting straight to work with Raleigh is out of the question but that doesn't mean she cant try to get started. Pulling out her song journal, she stares at a blank page and laughs because if she doesn't laugh, she might cry. To say she's overwhelmed would he an understatement, and if she hadn't signed a contract, she might be calling her mom to come pick her up, proving to be a failure once again. At least their's a binding piece of paper to keep her from quitting this time. Maybe a walk on the beach is what she needs to pull herself together.

It's a typical June day, warm and sunny but not scorchingly hot, and a light breeze brings gentle waves rolling ashore, not quite reaching the hem of her rolled up jeans as Aria dips her toes in. She closes her eyes, taking in the smell of the salty sea air. The only sounds to be heard on the deserted stretch of private beach are the water crashing against the sand and some seagulls chattering in the distance. If not quite inspiration yet, the ocean is at least bringing a sense of calm, an escape she'll have when she needs it.

Aria wades around, walks up and down the oceanfront a few times before deciding she should probably go face reality. That or at least go get some food since her stomach is grumbling, and it's likely well past lunch time. She meanders to the kitchen and opens up the refrigerator, delighted to see its been fully stocked, and settles on some sandwich fixings.

"Ahh!" She let's out a startled yelp as she whirls around to place her items on the kitchen island only to be stopped short as she crashes into a tall figure.

"Easy there, Chiquita," Raleigh grasps Aria's arms to steady her. "You might want to watch where you're going."

Momentarily mesmerized by his firm grip and the sparkle in his eyes, Aria shakes free and comes to her senses. She's too annoyed at the moment to be intimidated by his star status or won over by his charms. "You could clearly see me here and anticipate where I'd be headed. And my name is Aria." She plunks the food down on the counter with a thud for emphasis.

"But you're so small." Raleigh pats her on the head.

There's a time and a place for cutesy nicknames, but this is so not it. "Again, my name is Aria, and as your colleague, I ask you to refer to me by my given name." She should stop there but she can't help herself. "And for your information, I'm average height."

Raleigh shrugs. "Well you're still shorter than me...Anyway, what's for breakfast? I'm famished."

Aria rolls her eyes with a huff, already mid preparation. "I'm making myself a sandwich for lunch. What you decide to make yourself isn't really my concern."

Raleigh chuckles. "You're feistier than I thought. I like it."

Her cheeks are burning and she lies to herself that it's all out of anger. Without another word she finishes up and scurries upstairs to eat and stew in her room in peace. Raleigh Carrera won't get the best of her today. At least not that she'll let him see.

My Favorite Song💜

Every now and then Shinso would venture to land for some time away from the sea. Dont get him wrong, he loved the sea; the salty air, the fish friends, the beauty of the coral reefs, the sea shells. But sometimes he wanted something different , human interaction. He could talk to the fish but all they talked about was food and ‘just keep swimming’ for some reason.

So he would shed his tail for legs, naking his way up the shore to the beach . He always kept some clothes by the rocks in a box because he couldint walk around naked. He’d tie his wet hair back with some seaweed ans make his way onto the docks. Talking to everyone he passed, saying Hello and what not. Some people said hi but some didint. He didint mind though, he was just happy to have interaction.

He passed stores, places to eat . The usual for him. He was starting to think it was time to find a new place to explore.

“Shining like the seaaaa... you call to mee.ee..”

He blinked looking around. Where was that voice coming from?

“A rush of emotions... hitting me like a tidal wave...”

Where. Where. He searched every store coming up empty.

“I wait for youuu... on the docks, hoping.. wishing.. ill see you againn..”

Shinso made it to a bar with a Grand Opening sign out in front of it . He looked in and his heart fluttered all around.

“Show me... the mysteries of the sea..tell me. Do you exist?”

He walked in staring straight at you. Bumping into people as he got closer. He couldint take his eyes off you, a beautiful blue outfit with sea shells in your hair . Your smile was magnificent, it complimented your singing and Shinso could telk how happy you were. He wanted to know all about you, your voice, your love for the sea. Everything.

He could show you the sea, its mysteries. His real self, you were perfect. And he loved you.

People are free to do on their blogs as they wish, but if someone spams the dash with guilt trips, whining, constant ooc or political posts without a tendency to stop anytime soon, I´m gone. Same with people who constantly reply to hate they get. That´s always fishy. Just… block the IP address and move on? Anyone who partakes in drama or callouts. I think those are the main reasons. I´m highly selective about who I am following in the first place though, so it rarely happens anyways. ☣ Have you ever rp'd with someone you knew for a fact was abusive but tried to give them a chance/to make up your own opinion on the roleplayer? I have given people chances who I knew were a little flaky or known to just stick with their faves while promoting being open to anyone and learned my lesson, but that´s as far as it goes. These days I stay in my little corner, keep my mutual circle small and like it best that way. ✿ What do you think about public call out posts? Look, bad people exist. That´s a fact for Tumblr as it is for the real world. But are we really here to police what others do? No. Most of us just want to escape our lives a bit and write with others. The few callouts I´ve come across I´ve always viewed very skeptically. To me they seem to have been blown total out of proportion. You got beef with anyone? Settle that shit in private, ffs. I don´t care to see it. Unless there is something severe ans criminal going on, steer clear my friend. And if you can´t help yourselves anymore, just report the person. End of. ❥ Has someone ever ruined an FC or character for you? Oh yes. I used to have a partner I adored many years ago, and we wrote epic stories together, but then they suddenly got obsessed with a certain faceclaim and only cared for partners who used that FC anymore, while neglecting all their other ships and threads. That can ruin stuff for you. I also accidentally shipped a muse with two muses with the same FC once (not at the same time though) and had a falling out with both partners, so seeing that FC isn´t fun. The last one might be super petty (Hey, at least I own it) but that´s another FC of a person who used me to get to my (hot male) shipping partners while always ignoring our threads. But it all happened a long time ago and I´m mostly over it.

You’re not wrong. Horikoshi did in fact as you said– but I would argue that this grey-blueish color was made for the palette’s sake.

It’s not a surprise that Shigaraki’s colors are quite dull and cold, the opposite from the bright and flashy ones of the heroes; that’s alright, lots of bad guys are represented with “less happy” shades. But! A good thing that artists know at heart is that no matter what kind of character you’re drawing the colors must be well combined and juxtaposed with one another. In this cover Shigaraki’s design is quite greyish, just note that his skin and disembodied hands have the exact same shade. Very pale indeed.

Now, what would have happened if the hair was grey too?

Mhe. Not nice. He looks flat, a marble statue, and coloring must be pleasant to the eye. So the only way to create some sort of contrast is to choose a different shade which would come close to the white one. Therefore Horkishi went for the blueish one, it also sorta matches Todoroki’s ice and even the background. However it doesn’t necessarily make you think of blue; it’s more like a color for grizzly, greasy hair.

Then, when Horikoshi finally decides to give Shigaraki a less cadaverous complexion, things change and wow:

Grey hair! What are the odds!

Usually the shades that experience more changes are the lighter ones, because they are more apt to create a sort of continuity between all the other colors. Here’s an example with Gentle:

Is his hair white/grey or lilac? I’d say the first, it was just darkened in the cover (central and right image) to recall his clothes and to not stand out too much, given that him and La Bava are positioned in the darker side of the volume.

Now, here comes StudioBones:

Ugh. Whats that. Celeste? That’s not a pleasant combination, especially if you look at the red of the eyes. Would it look better with grey hair?

Yes. Yes it would.

Now, I can understand why they did it: yeah, the first colored-shigs is with that kind of hair, moreover at the time they probably thought he wasn’t that important to the story (his animation and design weren’t that great, they improved with the seasons) and, lastly, this is a common thing that happens to a lot of characters in animated transpositions, not a big deal.

Yeah it’s not, but it does invalidate the story a little bit. First ans foremost his connection with Eri: most of it is graphic, in the manga not only the color but also the shape of the hair is the same, plus the red irises—it’s obvious that the readers have to link the two of them. Also, this connection had led to some speculation that maybe all the people that are subjected to this strange quirk-change are albinos (or, well, have light hair and red eyes) and partly chapter 221 confirmed it with dr. Ujiko saying that Decay wasn’t, in fact, hereditary.

All of this won’t be so evident with the anime’s coloring.

Plus, here comes a personal headcanon: I believe that little Tenko had black hair and it turned grey after the incident where he supposedly killed his family (you can kinda see the tips of his hair being dark in the flashbacks). If so, in the anime the trauma just turned his hair blue. Uh. Nice. Didn’t know it could happen.

These are the articulate reasons on why I’m kinda salty towards this whole hair ordeal. The short reason is that I’m shallow like that and I’m totally going by personal preferences. But come on:

It’s better. Even smash did it right.

[It’s also a shame because the merchandising refers to the animated version of a character, hence “white/grey hair Shigaraki” is a no-go, not putting images because it’s already too much but you can easily find some examples]

AND EVEN IF all this stuff I just wrote is total bullcrap, it still seems that Horikoshi at least changed his mind and wants him to be an albino, so the argument stands anyway.

(Hi, sorry this came out so long and emotional it's just that I get really inspired when writing about Jaebum. I hope you like it tho:)

You take another sip of the steaming coffee in your mug, eyes not leaving the enormous economics book that lays on top of your desk. Caffeine is yet another desperate attempt to keep your eyelids open, just for a few more pages. The flashing red numbers on the digital clock next to you change and you sigh, reading the time. 3:00 AM.

Somewhere from the living room, you hear soft thumps followed by the sound of your roommate’s hasty steps and a muffled conversation.

Did she invite someone over? No, late night bootycalls aren't her thing...24 hour takeout delivery sounds more realistic.

You push your chair back to stretch your arms, a yawn escaping you, as the unmade bed calls for your body from across the room. Just as you’re about to down the rest of your coffee, a knock on the door stops your lips from touching the cup.

“Come in.” Your voice echoes and within a second, your roommate’s face appears, half of her body hiding behind the door frame.

“Y/n...” Uneasiness glimmers in her eyes, eyebrows furrowed.

“What’s up?” You instantly ask, watching her swiftly turn her head towards the living room.

“Someone’s here...”

You lean on your chair, trying to peek through the crook that her body creates against the door.

“Y/n, it’s Jaebum.” Your feel your body temporarily paralyze at the name that rolls off her tongue.

“Wh-What?” You hear a slight tremble in your voice, maybe it’s because of your heart's erratic beating. She nods and looks back once again. Your fingertips forcefully dig into the leather chair at the thought. “Tell him to get the fuck out of here.”

A part of you hopes that this is all a dream, that you have submerged to your sleepiness and you'll soon wake up warmly wrapped in your blankets. But the look on your roommate's face and her steady voice tear down your hopes.

“He won’t leave. You out of all people know how stubborn he is. Avoiding him hasn’t gotten you anywhere, so maybe it’s time to just talk to him.”

Your gaze shifts to the carpet, trying to come up with away to deal with this. You don’t want to hear or see him ever again. His name alone brings a burst of memories to your mind, still fresh and painful. What he did...

"Y/n, it’s for your own good. You need closure.” Her words bring you back to reality and you notice the compassion hidden behind her troubled expression.

Without realising, you’re already getting up from your seat and pushing by her, anger building up in your chest. And there he is, standing at the end of the hallway, hands in the pockets of his blue jeans, not noticing you furiously exiting your room. You are startled by his presence but gather all your courage to walk closer, each step heavier than the previous one. You hear the click of your roommate's door and realise that you're now all alone with him.

“What do you want?” You ask in a stern tone, leaning against the wall.

“We need to talk.” His hair is ruffled and dark circles are evident under his chocolate eyes.

“I don’t think we’ve anything to say.”

His eyes widen, but he doesn't flinch, only takes a deep breath. “I know I’ve hurt you, trust me, I do but if you give me a chance to expla-"

Your voice is quick to interrupt him as you take a step towards him. “There’s nothing to explain Jaebum, you cheated and that's it.” You watch him huff in frustration, not baring to look into his eyes as his voice alone sends a familiar jolt down your spine.

“No, it’s not Y/n, because she means nothing to me and I can’t stand this. I can’t stand being away from you, why can’t you believe me for once? I’ve called you more times than I can count, I even came here a day after our break up but you were gone.”

At that, images of you drinking alone in your car flash before your eyes, as you remember how you tried to cooperate with the fact that your boyfriend, whom you had given your everything to, had chosen another girl over you.

“What can I do for you to believe me? I care for you.”

A bitter laugh is your only response before you cross your arms over your chest. “That's enough bullshit for today, don't you think?”

Jaebum moves closer, his broad figure towering over you. You hate how the distance between you two is so small and how your heartbeat increases even more with each step he takes. “I’m sorry. You don’t know how much I’ve regretted this. I didn’t mean to be with her Y/n, I was drunk and I- I didn’t know what I was doing before it was too late." It's like he's shooting poisonous bullets straight into you with every sentence. "I miss you so bad, so fucking bad."

You shake your head in disbelief and for the first time that night, your eyes lock with his, for painfully long. You see sorrow reflecting in the tears that glistered in his eyes, same as the tears that are now burning their way down your cheek and Jaebum gasps, coming forward to close the distance between the two of you. The pad of his thumb is fast to swipe the saltiness from your skin so gently, and you hate how your face leans in to his touch, how you long to feel his warmth.

“I love you, why can’t you see?” His voice is desperate.

And it’s pitiful.

It’s just pitiful the way you start sobbing as his arms wrap around you so tightly and his body moulds into yours to comfort you. All your defences, all those walls you build to protect yourself against him crumble as Jaebum keeps repeating those three words. You know he doesn’t say it often, you know it’s hard for him to confess his feelings but here he is, chanting “I love you" like a prayer. And you love him too, more than you can admit. You feel your legs jiggle and realise they can’t hold you up anymore, slowly bending, Jaebum kneeling down with you too. You can’t help the tears anymore, blurring your vision and dampening his black t-shirt.

“Forgive me, please.” His voice is faint, a whisper next your ear.

You don’t respond. A lump in your throat chokes every word you try to spell when all you want to do is scream, because he did wrong and he put you through so much pain but you know you're the only one that matters to him. Your fingers tug at his shirt and he somehow brings you closer to his body, chest against chest, letting you melt into his embrace. A few moments pass, both your whimpers breaking the silence.

After your body relaxes in his arms, your hoarse voice echoes. “Don’t you dare do that ever again.”

A sigh of relief escapes his lips and without any hesitation, he buries his face in the crook of your neck, soft locks tingling your ear. “I won’t.” And with that you pull back to stare into his brown orbs, feeling a burden lift from you chest.

Suddenly, his features morph into a smile, one that can send you into an overdrive. His fingers envelope yours, rubbing soothing circles on the skin. “I knew from the very first glance at you.”

“What?”

“That I had to make you mine.” And he really did.

He knows your heart belongs to him and only desires to show you how he belongs to you too. His lips brush over yours, electrifying you in the most reviving way, chaining your soul to his and setting you both on fire, to let you know that he's all yours and yours only.

so say you have a character. you hc them as trans. that’s all fine and dandy, but if you don’t understand the struggles of 1. presenting, not just in appearance but telling people, 2. self image issues that go beyond just low self esteem, 3. dissociation from your own body and being, than you are not only doing it wrong, but probably portraying harmful stereotypes. the absolute worst i see is femme trans boys who are off the charts, completely disregarding canon facts. at that point, just make an oc please. i say this as a trans person who’s rped trans muses. sure, not everyones trans experiences are the same, but please don’t perpetuate harmful stereotypes or the tumblr ideal

Okay so....

I have to say this because I just had a moment of pure "I am so done" earlier, so I have to get it out of my system. But first, I need to premise this for context. *Warning this will get long*

One of the biggest things with me is that, contrary to popular belief, I'm not really the type to ship gay/lesbian couples in the anime I watch for the hell of it or for a "stick it to heteronormality" reason. I need some sort of narrative support for those ships to even consider them as having homosexual undertones. Not simply "they were in this one frame together so I ship them."

Case in point, 2 of my favorite shows that I watched as a kid were Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh. And anyone in the fandom of both shows knows there are the NaruSasu ship and the Yugi/Kaiba ship. While a lot of people shipped them (and eventually got salty they didn't become canon)… for me, not once did I ever ship them romantically. In fact, I only ever saw them as Brothers/Rivals respectively. Nothing really struck me as them having romantic-homosexual undertones (and this coming from someone who has a degree in "Everything is a penis!" Aka, and English degree). Now do I believe that they are "soulmates?" Yes I do, considering both respective ships were reincarnations and were bounded by all that fate mumbo jumbo.... but that doesn't necessarily mean they had to be romantically involved. It's just, not something I focus on in these types of stories (fanservice is a whole other story, but it is unrelated to my point). Hell it wasn't even until recently that I saw just how gay Kaiba was for Atem, thanks to Darkside of Dimensions.

Which brings me to the main part of my post, and ironically, it's about yet another anime movie. I am talking about the My Hero Movie with, you guessed it, the copious amount of KiriBaku that is SAID to be within the movie. I had seen quite a few spoilers from people who were able to see the movie and the general consensus is that basically the two of them were more or less joined at the hip.

Let me break it down, gonna be slightly out of order *Spoilers*

1) Bakugou inviting Kiri to a conference thing and sharing a room (not really support. Can be interpreted as two close friends going on a trip)

2) Fighting the baddie of the movie and being concerned about each other. Bakugou calling out more specifically (Slightly more than last point, mostly because I haven't seen Bakugou show obvious/verbal concern for a comrade that isn't wrapped up in profanity)

3) Bakugou THANKING Kirishima. Verbally thanking Kiri, instead of showing action. Ans shyly doing it too, with Kiri(?) blushing because of it. So far the only person I know Bakugou has said thanks to was All Might after Kamino.

4) And the final nail on the head.... Kirishima buying him and Bakugou matching/color-coordinated suits.

Now then.... Buying clothes for your friends is not that weird, much less buying matching outfits.... At least it's not that weird for girls. (Now I am only basing this on my personal experience, so if someone says otherwise, go ahead.) But I have never come across any Straight guys who will buy themselves and their best Male friend matching outfits, unironically. Now I'm not talking t-shirts, I'm talking FORMAL WEAR. The ONLY time I have seen formal wear be matching is with couples/dates coordinating with each other. (Groomsmen in weddings don't count). So when I saw something like this, I just got done.

Now I did casually like this ship because of both the narrative support with the fact it would be the most believable pair if there are any confirmed LGBTQ couples, and because it was pretty cute. But now after hearing this stuff, I will be incredibly surprised if they DON'T become canon, or at least hinted at it.

Just....geeze.

Saddest death:

Mikoto’s death...I mean Totsuka’s death hurts as hell and after MoR (Manga and movie) it’s painful as fuck, but it’s a plot point and it was an announced event years before it happened by Anna, so even if it’s painful and everytime I see it I cry a little, Mikoto’s death it’s sadder for me.He is a man with a serious depression that was never treaten, his biggest “stabilizer” was one of his best friends who was a frigging moron. His friend gets murdered, and in a horrible way, it was recorded and it was in the birthday eve of one of his most dearest people on his life, Anna. He get unstable and get blinded by the rage and pain and only wanted revenge, even if that means he can die in the process and let his other best friend behind with a little girl and all this boys who stimated him so much. Then he finally get his revenge but hw knows he can’t scape his fate, no matter how he see it he can only die, so he practically forced one of the persons he trusted the most to finish what he started, knowing there could be consecuences but just giving up since he knows he can’t do anything else. Giving his last words to the one he knows would be more affected for his actions because she will be now alone in a colorless world.

Yeah when you compare the contexts...Mikoto’s death it’s hella sad...

(I also think nagare’s death was sad but I’m more salty over how slightly unfair it was rather than how sad it was)

Favorite season:

Season one. K project, even with a lowest bucked have a better direction on scenes, fights and script. The fanservice wasn’t obsene at all, Go Hands didn’t abused of the CGI and managed to make a good balance between CGI, photography and actual classic animation and gives you an interesting mistery that even if you could solve it in like chapter 4 still makes you wonder what is going to happen.

Least favorite season:

K Return of Kings.

MAN I HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS SEASON I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE THE HECK TO START OKAY!!!???

It has a horrible script direction, things start ridicoulusly slow and then it’s like gora remembered they only have 13 chapters to finish it all and make everything so fast its absurb. it took 4 CHAPTERS for the actual protagonist to appear and even when shiro appeared it didn’t gives a big impact until chapter 6 or something like that. Nagare it’s an interesting antagonist but the way go/go settle him don’t give much chance for people to care much about his cause until the last shapters (and it was because they aired Dream of Green at the same time of the series itself because if not it would be hard to get attached to the green clan out of certain escenes) and then the friggin kings battle of the tower came.

MAN I HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS BATTLE!!!

Munakata and Iwafune’s fight it’s good, it’s normal to think iwa-san have more experience in batlle since after Adolf, he is the oldest king there, he is from an old generation of kings and participated on the kagutsu disaster and lost everything there, and for the aparent nature of his powers it’s kiiind of credible for him to overcome munakata sicne he can go on a offensive and defensive way thanks to his fog thing...BUT WHAT IT’S THE EXCUSE FOR THEY TO JUST PUT ANNA AND SHIRO ASIDE!? I’m sorry go/go I’m not going to swallow that thing that iwafune’s sadness it’s so frigging strong to let anna unable to move. Yeah, she is empathetic, she can feel other people emotions and read minds for her strain powers. But thats a excuse and we all know it, you just didn’t know what to do with the little bird lolita who can use fire and with her aura put on a complicated corner iwafune because he can hide but not scape a fire wall. I can understand shiro step back since he is a pacifist and it’s not used to fight, but you showed us Anna learned to fight and use her aura for offense so if you’re not going to use her i could be better to idk, actually knock her out not inmovilize her with iwafune’s crippling depression??Also what’s the excuse for neither Kuroh or Shiro to stop the effing elicopter with the slate when it was in a close height???? Seriously the plot conveniences on that chapter are so much that it stressing and more when you did it so great on the first season and even on the movie before this???

And I could be rambling about the script problems for hours but I’m not a youtuber and neither a critic so I’ll let it here for this...

Also don’t make me start with the fanservice... Ussually I don’t pay mind on fanservice, I even find it hilarant, but here was so overbold and in your face it was actually irritating.

Character that everyone else in the fandom loves, but I hate am not so invested in:

Yata and Saruhiko, I don’t hate them but I’m just not sooo invested in them as the whole fandom is. LSW make me understand them better and stop hating them but still if I can choose, I can keep ignoring their existence and it isn’t going to affect at all y fandom experience.

My ‘they’re kind of cute, and I lowkey ship them, but i’m not too invested’ ship:

- ReiSeri. I see them more as co-wrkers but they have cute shipping material.

- AkiSaru. I ship them for the aesthetic lol.

- YukarixNagare (I forgot the ship name lol). They’re cute and have a good chemical, but I’m not that invested into them.

- Most of ABC scepter4 ships. Sorry I’m not too invested in this clan but they have good shipping material that I can appreciate even if they’re not my favs.

I took a nap and I feel a little better but I'm still feeling kind of dizzy. I think I just really need a break. I got 4 days off this weekend but like. Were traveling. And theres a wedding. So it will probably still be a lot.

Today was a pretty okay day. I slept okay i guess. Could have been longer. And we hot woken up by power tools way to early. And that sucked. I tried to cover my head but it didnt help much.

James headed out. I spent the next hour getting ready. I had a nice breakfast. Enjoyed doing my makeup. I left here a little early and went to get donuts.

I sat on the pier and watched the birds for a little. Got to my shift a little early. It was the last day of fleet week. Well sort of. Tomorrow is officially the last day but today was the last day you could tour the ships i think?

Basically everyone looked like a zombie. The volenteers where nice enough but one got salty with me because i didnt know what she was supposed to do and wouldnt listen to me when I told her to talk to Libby. Okay. We were running low on the special coins but at least all the school kids were nice.

The steel side ships needed lunch relief and were short staff so I would head over there later. Andrew had his lunch first. I was at the desk and talked to people. It was nice. My favorite hand lotion sent me a coupon and i was able to get it for 60% off. Amazing.

After Libby had her break I went over to Chessie. One of my first 2 people on were these 2 sweet old men who i had met like 20 minutes before over at Connie. The one actually had served on yhe Coast Guard ship Eagel I had gone on the other day. So he really wanted to go see it. So we had talked for a bit. So we had a laugh when I showed up over there. And then i went to torsk and they came again! I was following them essentially. We joked i wojld see them later when they came to get their coins for getting all their stamps. Riley boughy me a mango soda but i have lost my sense of taste again so I didnt lile it. It was still nice of him to get me a drink.

I went back to connie and discovered we only had like 5 coins left. Oh no. I was very worried that those sweet men wouldn't grt a coin so i put 2 to the side for them. I sent everyone out to try to find me more coins. Joanie went to fells where someone said they had a bunch. Awesome. I had some nice conversations with a volenteer who is 17 months sober and was accidently assigned to the beer tent. He was a nice guy and i hope he continues to do well.

And then like 10 minutes before i was done my shift my old men friends came!! They were so funny. I told them i was so worried that they wouldnt get their coins and i saved some and they were so thankful. It was great.

James was there and gave them some directions and soon enough it was time to get changed. I was fairly overheated though and I wanted to hang out with my boy. But I also wanted to be sitting in the dark.

But we went over to Marshall's and got hin shoes for the wedding. I think they look great on him. He got a number higher size then normal and they fit just fine. So i really think his shoes are always falling apart partly because he's getting shoes that are to small for him. We also got him tupper wear and an ice cube tray. He bought me some candy.

And then we headed out.

He went to stop at connie ane i went straight home. He still beat me back to the apartment. Not shocking.

I felt pretty bad though. Dizzy and hot. I made a hotdog. And got a shower. I was frustrited because James left a bunch of stuff on the counter. He did the dishes to appologize. But I was just really tired and on edge. So after I had my hotdog I went to sleep.

James left to go do some deliveries. He almost got in an accident and spilled a milkshake in his bag. Which upset me. But he's okay. I woke uo at 630 and felt better. But I'm still really tired.

I have been chilling. Made stuffing for dinner. Cuddled with Sweetp. I made ice cream bread with strawberries and cream cheese. I just want to feel better.

Im going to to do all the dishes and pack a lunch and go to bed. Im working all day at connie tomorrow. And James is our lunch relief. Well see how im feeling but if I still feel this weak I'll beg off doing the firing. Well see.
