learned something about myself lately

#i dont think its even the fact almost all my characters are somewhat beasts in one way or another. i just #really like tails and wish i had one myself #and then my oc designs are a little tame theyre mostly human shaped with animal features. but they always have tails #my eyes have recently been opened to the appeal of long whiplike unicorn tails.. so flowy and curly #something about the tuft at the end being long and swirly just does something for me..#maybe it would make sense to change auggies tail shape so it looks like a meteor. her design is mainly pink with hot pink accent #so it would be cool to use that and orange to make it look like a fire meteor.. maybe itll help complement the blue/green in her design #head full of ocs today so expect a ramble later #if i had a tail i think it would be long with a kink. so it kind of folds over once but not in a curl #when it wags its kind of a swaying motion. i have thought about this a normal amount #yapping

i have many problems with eah's soft reboot from around 2016, but one of my biggest gripes i have with it is the sideline of briar on merchandise/promo material when she is part of the main 4 core cast, tho she gets ignored or sometimes downright replaced by other characters like ashlynn or holly

i fuckin love this guy.

the basic rundown of cable: he’s charming, charismatic, loves spontaneity, and loves living life dangerously!! he’s all about doing what makes you happy and is a big advocate for self-love. they’ve got a high self-esteem and know their self-worth (he knows he’s hot shit and loves himself a lot!! ❤️) they also used to work at a brothel and are super open about their sexuality. this guy? horny. they love performing and pole dancing and wearing high heels. he’s also very affectionate and loves any and all kinds of physical contact. he’s also aromantic and pansexual!! he is platonic partners with my gf’s character, ophelia 💕

you ask me what i love about cable and it’s just. all of him LMAO.

i love cable sm because there’s a lot of myself in him (i made their character at a time when i was doing a lot of self-reflection). also he’s so open and honest and self-confident, i’m like— WOW, i aspire to be like you someday…

if i were to give a challenge i have while playing them… i love rp (it is my favorite part of dnd), but i fear i’m not the best at improv. i tend to get nervous during sessions for this campaign specifically. i think it’s that i’m so self-conscious about playing cable accurate to how i imagine him in my head that i’m just a bundle of nerves. i’m nervous at first, but eventually i get into a groove the longer the session goes on. though, these past few sessions especially, i’ve been pretty happy with how i’ve been playing him!! it delights me when my friends tell me they love cable as well 🥺

i also play leiana, my high elf druid!!

i realized i haven’t talked about her / showed her publicly on social media at all, so here she is. i don’t have as many things to say about her as i do cable, but i love her all the same!!

she was the first character i tried to give an accent to (irish), and while my irish accent is definitely not that good— it is what it is. this is just how she sounds like, and it’s good enough for me.

leiana is a cartographer and she loooooves bugs. loves bugs. which is very much not like me because i am, unfortunately, a little bug hater. but leiana has such a fascination with nature and bugs especially. she studies bugs and likes to pin them (she only pins dead ones she finds, she would never kill a bug herself) and she has a collection of pinned bugs!

she also has a pet tarantula named fenri, who can change colors! (he’s primarily pink and matches leiana’s hair.)

leiana is no stranger to grief and she fears dying. currently she is trying to distance herself from the party for Reasons 🥲

while i have a few more dnd characters, they are for upcoming campaigns that i have yet to play in!! cable and leiana are the two i am actively playing at the moment :3

maverick is also in my brain constantly these days, but unfortunately i cannot talk abt xem for reasons….one day i will gush abt them to my heart’s content…

in the spirit of recent events these are the songs I put on after every stream to really feel everything that happens

#old me is 10x harder thanks to what just happened #used to listen this thinking about me killing pangi but oh my god #you can connect all of these to whatever princezam moments you want to me they apply to like every aspect of the character #I'd say these are like the strongest songs in the playlist everything else is sort of just here to keep the mood similar #there's also a few more songs that only really hit when I was in like season 4 lore mode or just certain eras of lifesteal #examples being like sorry not sorry by tyler the creator for end of season 4 #lowkey another life by pink pantheress is another banger but doesn't fit too well with the stuff i linked above lol #also two of those songs were given to me by bacon i know he wants credit

Am I the only one who doesn't vibe with the Gaiathra Triclops = Ena the Order theory?

#like don't get me wrong i love connecting the dots as much as the next guy (possibly even more so with all the weird tie-ins i make lol)#but what's the point of the theory? that aventurine's luck is some kind of manifestation of the order?#i just don't get what it adds to his character #it actually seems to detract from it in a way #like #continuing to believe in gaiathra- even if she is not an aeon- seems like a point of empowerment to him #in that he still prays to the avgins' deity in spite of working under the preservation and walking their path #having her turn out to be an aeon herself kinda makes the aforementioned point about the preservation feel like a rejection of the order #which just. doesn't add up with what we see in the 2.1 story yknow #it feels like a disservice to aven and his character imho #in much the same way as the disattva yingxing theory #but that's another story for another day #honkai star rail #hsr #hsr aventurine #gaiathra triclops #ena the order #pink's musings

I think the most fascinating and important aspect of Kizuna's character to me is how aware she is;

She isn't a dense bitch that acts like that because she doesn't realize it's bad, neither is she the kind of person that thinks she's in the right for doing what she does because she feels entitled to acting that way or something.

Kizuna knows that she's a terrible person (outright tells Yuki in her final FTEs that he must be disgusted by he true colors, she expects people to dislike her once the know who she is) and that the things she does to the people around her are bad, yet she continues with this toxic behavior because it's the only way she was taught how to make it through life and is legitimately afraid of what could happen to her if he does as much a display any form of weakness to her peers.

#i really don't think i would like this character as much as i do if she wasn't like his #like that's genuinely tragic #specially when you take into account how Linuj straight up said that he was trying to do better prior to the tragedy #beloved pink haired bimbo #dra #danganronpa another #kizuna tomori #hyena ramblings

I find it kinda funny that, when it comes to any of the companions, of COURSE Gale would be my favorite. And like, I like him for genuine reasons (namely his personality), but if I show a picture of him to someone who knows nothing about BG3, but knows a lot about me, they’d immediately be like “yeah, makes sense”

And what I mean by that is—my favorite color is purple; I adore anything vaguely space/witchy themed; and when a game gives me the option, I almost always become a magic user. So if I were to show my mom a picture of Gale, and told her that he was a wizard, she’d be like “yeah, of course you like him”

Yall the more I think about it, and the characters I was also obsessed with when BG3 came out, the more I realize that I am a very basic bitch lmao
