you know what? NO.
Laios gets lots of flak for his interpersonal behaviour, which is fair. but I don't like that they changed the group's reaction to his thank-you speech in the (*English dubbed) anime! it's an awkward but sweet moment in the manga:

no one's calling him 'cringe' here. it was literally just awkward because they all had their mouths full!! justice for Laios

Thoughts on the anime vs manga (Soul Eater)?
The more content, the more om nom nom.
I actually haven't read much of the manga (yet), so I can't give a fully formed Opinion on it, but in short:
I like that the manga has more characters, fleshes the characters out more, and we get to see more character development for the main 3. (Book of Eibon arc, DeathStar fight my beloved, new and awesome powers ily)
I like the anime because it's shorter; at 51 episodes, it's the perfect length for me. The development was definitely cut short, but the anime ATTEMPTED to tie up loose ends despite of that (which at times sounds like more than Ohkubo did in the manga). Crona’s not stuck on the moon, the Kishin isn't alive and also on the moon, and there isn't so much FUCKING FANSERVICE. When something has more potential, it just makes any wasted potential feel that much worse.
In terms of deeper elements like lore, morality, mental health, alegory, etc in the series, I can't really speak on it yet? Like I said, I haven't read most of the manga. (I think the way I read it in high school was I just read all scenes involving Death the Kid and skipped everything else. I get the gist, but I Did Not See most of the the deeper aspects in depth.)
I like both equally, despite and because they're so different. I actually really like having several versions of the same story. And if they're both canon? Two cakes, baby! I like how each of them give such different jumping off points for fan creators/etc. They're both flawed in their own ways, but at that point, I don't feel like it's a general anime vs. manga discussion. I am currently reading the manga for research for a fanfic I'm writing, so maybe I'll have a more interesting answer then, lol

Anime viewing vs. manga reading
I was watching an anime the other day when I suddenly had the feeling that the show was speeding through the story so much faster than the manga did. The events and emotions felt rushed and I had a harder time investing in the relationship between the two romantic leads.
I had read the manga first so I wondered why the pacing felt different in the anime. That’s when I came to the realization that when I read manga, I read it at my own pace. I can quickly re-read certain pages if I’m confused or I can linger on certain panels if I want to soak in the beauty of the artwork or the emotion being conveyed.
However, when I’m watching anime, the pace is decided for me so that’s why it feels faster. It’s a bit more awkward to rewind a part of an episode in case I didn’t catch a certain line or action. Meanwhile, if I’m reading the manga, I can just easily flip back to the right page. Or if I want to study a certain detail or enjoy the beauty of the animation, pausing an anime at just the right frame is a bit harder than reviewing the same panel in a manga.
Maybe this has always been obvious to people who read manga and watch anime, but as a relative newbie, this is a new and fascinating revelation for me.

I am so sad. They gave this Dabi vs Shouto panel to some B-studio.
There are so many things wrong with this shot, but the most infuriating part is that it shows that its creators do not have a clue what this fight is about.
The composition. The composition matters. This is Kamino. Shoto and Touya are having a showdown in Kamino. All Might's last stand, the place where Endeavor realized he destroyed his family for nothing, the moment where the reason they were created, they have suffered for became moot.
All Might's statue is looming over them. All Might was the goal - they were little toddlers when Endeavor told them that their worth is coming from being able to surpass All Might. Their existence was conditional on that goal. It's the reason of the wedge between them.
"I am not here". It has so many meanings. But also for this particular fight the "hero" who created this family, these two boys to surpass All Might is once again not here. As AFO rightly calls him out for it, once again, he fails to show up for Touya.
Shouto does show up and he's looking at Touya who is not looking at him. "Watch me" is like the desperate cry for self-worth in the Todoroki family.
Shouto's pose in the manga radiates his determination. He who is always so full of doubt is so sure here. He stands firm. But the fire and ice at his feet are a reminder of his "masterpiece" status, due to his perfect quirk. In the anime, his pose is floppy, the ice and fire are missing too.
Touya who looks away is so full of disdain for Shouto. His swag shows what he thinks of this 3rd son. In the anime? Nothing.
I'm not only mad because the artwork is lazy and looks bad. I'm mad because every choice they made here, every corner they cut tells me the people who made this did not understand a single thing about this fight.

Some comparisons between the Manga panel and the Anime. I noticed Falin has a less...feral? Look to her eyes in the anime.
Along with them actively cutting to Marcille and Shuro compared to them just being a small reaction in the corner. (Not saying I prefer one method of showing the reactions to the other, just an interesting choice that does alter the energy of the moment.)

Am I the only one concerned about the fact the opening credits for s4 of Black Butler includes very specific stuff that's not in the manga, like a giant fire person walking around? Who or what the heck is that?!? 🤔
