on the train and thinking abt the pastas again…

🥩toby would love the subway because of all the people (not bc he likes people but more so because he can blend in and feel kinda normal when surrounded by other people. gives him a sense of normalcy that eventually makes him hate the subway)

A/N:Babe it’s the way I almost wrote something like this this morning because I’m currently going through the SAME thing 😭

He’d call you on his break to see if you needed anything from the store, to see if you had plenty of soup and tissues and cough medicine. “Just unlock the front door for me baby, I’ll be there soon to take care of ya.”

He comes in and finds you under a mound of blankets on the couch but it feels like your deathbed and he’d kneel down and start to lift the blankets up slowly until he uncovers your face to see just how much life is gone from you currently. He grabs your face but doesn’t get close and says, “look at my girl, you don’t look like yourself. Ya hungry? I brought you some soup I can heat up if you want.”

And he tells you to stay there as he gets up off his knee and walks to the kitchen to make your soup and as it’s cooking he gets you some ice water in your water bottle and definitely wants to make sure your fever isn’t getting worse so he presses the inside of his wrist to your forehead many times. As he checks your temperature you notice he’s just staring at you, admiring how you look so pretty despite feeling like shit.

As soon as you’re done with your soup he sits on the couch and tells you to come lay on him, he wants to hold you. “What about work? You’re break is over soon” You ask before you choose to get cozy against him. It makes him laugh and he smooths over your hair behind your ear and says, “don’t even worry about it darlin. I took the afternoon off, so I’ve got until your dad comes home in a few hours” and the kiss he leaves on the crown of your head is enough to ease you to sleep.
