my favorite setup for a sizeswap is having it be like a freaky friday type situation where the giant and the tiny are jealous of the other's size. picture a human and borrower who've known eachother for a while, the borrower is obviously jealous of the human who gets to go outside and talk to other humans and basically do everything from the borrower's perspective. but maybe the human has a really shitty job or a hectic schedule and is jealous of the borrower for not having to deal with pesky human responsibilities, or maybe they're a celebrity who's tired of the attention and wishes they could just be invisible and unknown to the world like the borrower. then all of a sudden they wake up (bonus points if it's after they have a talk or an argument about how good they think the other one has it) and bam! get sizeswapped idiots. so now they get to see eachother's struggles and realise that no it's not all sunshine and rainbows on the other side actually.

What would the Dairy Islands be without their Dairy Sea?
So I am beyond excited to share with you the animal helping to keep it clean and pure:
You know em, you love em: the Milky Manta Ray!
Honestly, I am beyond happy with them! There was no question, i had to draw the animal a major character was referencing.
It was a big struggle until my twin suggested using the drink Grant made in Dirty Laundry once, the Queen's Punch, for inspiration and that opened my third eye!
They swim in their favoured territory, where another body of "water" meets the Dairy Sea and filter the milk, feeding on those nutrients in the process. This gives each Manta Ray a distinct colouration. Once the liquid has passed through their bodies enough to have returned to pure milk it is then released through the ends of their wings, fins and tail.
Got enough milk?

physical pain when i realize a neurotypical has subconsciously clocked me as neurodivergent and they immediately start treating me just slightly different. there's this slight head tilt and then a small unintentionally condescending smile and then they're not looking down at me because i'm short as fuck they're looking down on me and they're talking slightly differently, slightly slower, and .. i can't explain it i just know. and it's like oh fuck i've blown my cover. they will never look at me like normal ever again

i kinda think part of why people treat donnie as less caring than he is is like. sometimes not knowing when he's joking? like that time he threatens to be "semi-lethal" when splinter's in the truck with meat sweats. like i'm sure most of you knew he was joking but like. do some of you realise he like, would not have done that? like remember how he was sad? when splinter actually got hurt? same with leo in the movie? and all of them at every other time?
like he's self proclaimed funniest. and also a mad scientist aesthetic doesn't make a character a villain by itself it's what you actually do with that (yes he has done bad things within that area (haunted stare towards mind meld) but you have to admit he like. did fix those. and feel bad and hopefully learn his lesson but hey that's another analysis)
i have mixed feelings on villain donnie stuff, as an example, because like. ANY character put in a situation where they lose their way is really fun and if in character is really interesting as to what could cause that.
but when it's treated as like. inevitable. who he is, or phrasing his brothers are the only thing stopping him being evil. it's like hm. ugh. kind of hurts a bit actually but that's probably because i relate to him ghfdjk
like the seen in snow day with the tech bo chainsaw like. all he really DOES is cut a snowman there but he's just like. leaning into being "evil" with the chainsaw but like he's just being silly with it. acting like that's proof of anything is wild to me, without any other data points.
also kind of separate but i think there's a dissonance between what is like. seen as evil? between me and like most people lol. like the scene in the movie as well with like "finally, man and machine, entwixt in perfect bionic synergy" someone i watched it with was like "haha evil moment" or whatever where i was just like. yeah real that would be rad as hell. honestly gender also.
not saying he's never done anything wrong but i am saying he immediately tries to fix all of those things
anyway he does have a really interesting relationship with morals in my eyes but like, at his core he really cares about people, you know?
this isn't hate to anyone btw i just care about donnie a lot as a character and as really layered autistic representation

I had a Big Thinking Moment today. A lot of the discussion (or rather argument) around Smash Bros and their playable fighters tend to revolve around "popularity"-- which I've come to learn really means "personal familiarity which in turn determines their worth to you".
So I thought with my siblings as to how many of these characters we actually knew prior to any instance of them being mentioned in Smash, this includes if they were placed in discussion as a potential fighter. And I got a, I guess, fairly-decent score for myself.
It's very interesting to see all this now that I have it down on "paper". (With little tidbits on particular Yes-n-No's below.)
To note, my first Smash game was Melee. And I did not own an N64. That in turn already shapes how familiar I am with certain titles.
A lot of the big-mascot characters I knew in passing, save for Mario who I was first exposed through Super Mario World Advanced, and so everyone following after would be seen in passing-- or through Mario Kart.
My first Zelda game was Twilight Princess on the Wii... Very late, I know. I remembered seeing Toon Link from a Windwaker Wii Ad.
I first remembered seeing Kirby in some ad for Nightmare in Dreamland. For some reason I thought he was a badguy.
I first saw Meta-Knight, Dedede, and K.Rool as trophies in Melee.
I recognized Snake in his trailer as "the guy who my cousin showed me throw up on-screen". I do not know which title it was.
I grew up on A Lot of bootlegs. These included titles like Mario Land, Duck Hunt, and Rockman World.
Dark Pit makes no sense because Pit has a palette swap in Brawl that Dark Pit could be based from, but it's also not him exactly. I gave him a pass since he only existed so recently.
I believe my most early memory of Simon would be from some Newgrounds-esque video where he appears for a portion of the video. I would not know more about him until Captain N and after.
I was introduced to Richter's name through a friend's fan-fiction.
I have absolutely no recollection of Banjo's existence prior to discussion of people wanting him in Smash.
I have practically grown up with a majority of the Fighter Passes. My big childhood games include Tekken, Xeno(saga), and Kingdom Hearts-- it would be surprising if I did not recognize someone from a fighting game, I've played so many.
