T-02-613 (The Mourning Dove)
Title: The Mourning Dove
Subject Classification: T-02-613
Attack Type: White
Risk Level: He
Description: The abnormality takes the form of a mourning dove that is constantly seen crying sitting on a wooden perch. The bird doesn’t talk like a human, it instead makes the same noises a regular Mourning Dove makes. It even has a few bird-like mannerisms, though it tends to be a bit sluggish and doesn’t fly around that much. The bird is known to sing a sad song, making anyone who dares to listen go mad with sorrow. This causes the person who listened to the song to cry uncontrollably and attack anyone around them in a frenzy. However, if a person were to die at the hands of the infected person, the bird would cry even louder, as if it were mourning the dead. This will also cause the bird to sing even more, causing more people to become infected. So the best option is to suppress the infected person before more people fall into a sorrowful hysteria. Luckily, the abnormality doesn’t breach. There is a rumor that the bird used to be happy. That the bird once had someone that it loved. However, they are long gone now.
Quote: “The song it sings can bring anyone to tears”
Flavor Text:
- “The Mourning Dove sobs quietly on its perch”
- “Why must I be the one to mourn? Why must I cry?”
- “The Mourning Dove flapped it’s wings, yet it didn’t fly away. It has lost it’s desire to fly”
- “<name> couldn’t help but want to cry as well, their eyes welling up with tears”
- “I shall sing a song. A song that will help everyone mourn with me. Therefore, I won’t be alone anymore”
- “Tears fall to the floor as The Mourning Dove weeps loudly”
- “Why must everyone die around me? Why must I harbor this pain?”
