Chapter five!
enjoy lovelies <3
warnings: mostly just fluff :)
~~~~~
Dinner had been wonderful.
You all shared stories of old adventures and mishaps before you’d become the right group you were, the laughter afterwards a gift that each of you would never forget.
Aragorn had certainly taken a liking to Legolas, the feeling having nothing to do with the fact that the elf had saved his life, and more importantly, yours.
Aragorn felt it because of the way Legolas treated you with such respect. It was hard to find a good man, or elf in this case, who respected women and men equally in this age, so it was a quality he was surely grateful for. But he was also ready to protect or defend you should the need arise.
He’d observed the two of you interact, finding that you both brought the child out of each other every once in a while, with silly competitions and playful banter. Aragorn was happy you had someone other than him to be friends with after all of these years.
You hadn’t been quick to trust Legolas for the first few days, you would admit that. But when Legolas had saved Aragorn, then saved you, it was fairly easy to trust him and to know that he didn’t have poor intentions.
You just hoped the feeling was mutual.
It was a cold and sunny day in Rohan. You’d woken up earlier than the others, so you decided to get dressed and start your day. Children were roaming about in the bitter cold, laughing while they sledded down the small slopes and hills. You didn’t mind the chill when you got to watch children be happy like this.
You tugged the thick cloak that was draped relaxedly on your shoulders tighter, relishing in the warmth it so selflessly brought you. You took a deep breath with closed eyes, spitefully breathing the cold air in as if to say, ‘I’m finally on holiday.’
Footsteps approached you from behind, though you didn’t hear them, still lost in thought. A slender, yet strong hand was placed on your shoulder, startling you from your thoughts. You jumped, and grabbed the arm attached to the owner’s hand, twisting it behind their back.
You whipped your head around to see a pained Legolas, groaning in discomfort. For Valar’s sake. You gasped and immediately let go, gently placing a hand on Legolas’ shoulder. “Legolas! Sincerest apologies, mellon. I mistook you for a stranger.” You amended, checking to make sure if he was alright.
“Ú-moe edaved, Y/N.” The elf replied, rolling his shoulder back to relax his now tense arm. You relaxed beneath the words, allowing yourself a sigh of relief. You inhaled, ensuring you were wrapped tightly in the cloak the elf beside you had gifted to you. “Did you need to speak with me? I assume my.. response was a distraction from the conversation.”
Legolas looked angry, an unreadable emotion behind his blue eyes while he stared you down. You’d have started to panic if the elf hadn‘t started to laugh at your choice of words.
His expression went almost completely neutral, the remains of a smile etched on his lips. You rolled your eyes, unable to bite back the laugh that fought its way past your lips. “I was simply seeing if you were alright, mellon.” The elf explained, his gaze fixating on the joyful children just like you did. “Aragorn was worried for you.” He admitted, drawing a bit of guilt out from the pit of your stomach.
You smiled, shuddering at the cold breeze that pushed past your legs. It was getting to be too cold outside for you. So, you huffed, turning your head to face Legolas. “Would you like to go get cider? I believe I’ll turn into ice if I stay in this weather much longer.” You asked, another shiver running down your spine.
The elf looked at you for a moment, then nodded, jokingly extending his arm. “I would. Let’s make haste. I can’t have my friend turning into ice, now can I?” He hummed, tone light and playful as it normally was.
You nodded, making a mental note to blame your blush on the cold.
~~~
Once indoors, by a warm fire with a mug of hot cider, you and Legolas sat at a table, talking about the most random things. “Where is Aragorn?” You asked, brows knit together in slight worry. “I have not seen him today.”
Legolas hummed, cerulean blue eyes scanning your face carefully. “He said he planned on meeting with a man today. With whom, I do not know.” He explained, reaching his hand forward just a bit as if to grasp your hand comfortingly, before he withdrew his hand and placed it on his lap. You did not like the idea of Aragorn being alone again.
“If he is not back by tonight, I was instructed to take you with me and search for him.” He added, eyes swirling with a gentle sympathy. You took a sip of the cider, nodding quietly as your thoughts took hold of you, gaze fixated on the fire.
What if you and Legolas couldn’t save him? That was your best friend. If you lost him, you didn’t know what you would do. You’d lost family once, you couldn’t lose it again.
“Y/N? Mellon nîn, are you alright?” Legolas asked, concern written across his elven features. You shook your head, as if to push the negative thoughts away. “I am okay, Legolas. My thoughts merely stole me away for a moment.” You explained, doing nothing to wipe the worry from your friend’s face.
The elf didn’t seem convinced. “You’re sure of this?” He asked, going expressionless while you nodded. He almost seemed sad, but there were times when you couldn’t tell. Legolas
Legolas stood, determination set in the eyes you grew more confused with and fond of with every glance. “I will only be a moment, Y/N.” He explained, heading out of the doors to leave you alone at the table.
You sat alone, still and quiet in slight shock of your friend leaving you. Odd. But you let it be, finding no point in chasing him. You took a sip of your cider, training your eyes on the door for when Legolas walked in.
After a few minutes, Legolas came back in, holding what looked like a large sled in his left arm. He approached you, chuckling at the evident confusion on your face. “Come.” He requested, offering his free hand to you. You took it, standing up with a huff.
“Where are we going?” You inquired, raising a brow. “Sledding, Mellon Nîn.” He hummed, dragging you out of the door. Legolas never quite let your hand go after that.
~~~
You stood at the top of a hill with Legolas, almost giddy with excitement. The sled Legolas bought was big enough for the both of you, so you sat down, waiting for Legolas to get behind you.
Finally, the elf sat behind you, your back pressed against his chest. And, for some reason only the Valar knows, your heart started racing. You couldn’t help but focus on the proximity of the elf behind you, the smell of warm, spiced cider and smoke swirling in the air behind you.
Legolas tapped your shoulder, shaking you from your thoughts. “Y/N? Are you ready?” He gently asked, taking hold of the rope in front of you. You grinned cheekily, subconsciously leaning against the elf’s chest. “I am.” And with that, you were off racing down the hill.
You laughed, sitting up a bit to enjoy the wind blowing against your face, careful not to get it in Legolas’ face. The snowy scenery sped past you as you neared the end of the hill, leaning back against Legolas’ chest again. You felt a rumble against your back, your heart nearly melting at the melodious sound of Legolas’ quiet chuckle behind you.
You couldn’t stop smiling as you stood, attempting to hide it with your hand. Though you’d never admit it, you never liked your smile when you saw it in your reflection. So you tried to hide it when you could.
But Legolas caught on, gently grasping your hand to remove it from over your mouth. “Do not hide your smile, Mellon. It is worth more than you know.” He added, releasing your hand with a slight hum.
Your cheeks were lit aflame at that, whatever it was, and you could barely force yourself to trudge on behind the elf. You walked on, going right back up the hill to do it all over again.
Once you were back at the top of the hill, you sat down on the sled with Legolas behind you, your smile as wide as ever. Then, you slowly drifted down the hill, speeding up as you progressed.
You closed your eyes, your smile softening as you glided down the hill. It felt freeing to do things like this with Legolas. The freezing wind against your skin and the love and warmth it brought out of you. Simply being with Legolas was freeing.
He made you feel like there wasn’t anything in this world that the two of you couldn’t handle. He made you feel invincible, but somehow so very alive and of this world at the same time. He brought out the good in you.
These were the thoughts that you kept with you while you sledged down the hill with Legolas, unable to bite back the joyous laugh that bubbled in your throat.
You took a glance at the passing scenery around you, gasping at the rock your sled approached. “Legolas, the rock!” You warned, slight panic setting in as the rock came closer and closer. The elf averted the sled best he could before you hit the rock, grunting in struggle.
You curled up a little, your reflexes getting the better of you and you both went over the rock, sending you flying off the sled. Strong arms wrapped around you, protecting you from the cold snow and the initial impact of hitting the ground.
You and Legolas tumbled down the hill, panic once again turning into laughter. Legolas let go of you once you were both safe and at the bottom of the hill, chuckling at the sudden change of events. “Are you alright?” The elf asked, sitting up to shake the snow from his silvery hair.
You nodded, your own laugh ringing in the cold air as you sat up. “More than alright, Mellon. Thank you.” You grinned, ignoring the chill that seeped to your very bones. “Are you?” You returned, twisting your torso, then the rest of your body to make sure he was alright.
But instead of any injuries, you were met with the warmest, most genuine smile you’d ever seen with Legolas. “I am,” He replied kindly, standing up to offer you a hand. “but I think that I have had enough sledding for today.” He chuckled, picking up the battered sled with a sigh.
Then, once you were up, you began walking back to the inn to wash up.
This time, you were the one who never let his hand go.
Okay so there’s more fluff on the way in the start of the next chapter, but i just really wanted to get this one out and release it so it can be done.
ako naman muna (pt. 3 of 'i k a w' - Legolas X Reader!Soulmate AU)
(Hi! I have moved to another blog. If you would like to see more of this content, feel free to follow me there and visit it! @ceinelee Thank you so much!)
(First of all I want to thank all the people who took the time to read these and even liked, reblogged, and commented you make my day so much! Another note, I tried really hard to be able to translate the sentences as close as to what it means in Filipino but some may come off as awkward I guess. If you need help or if you want to ask please feel free to do so. But I hope you will be able to understand it through the text. Also, to those who said that these broke their hearts, you are not alone, I am breaking my own heart T_T but it's just I'm tired of reading Soulmate AUs where they meet their one for the first time and they just smash their faces together. I think love is only really there when you get to see the perfection and accept the flaws of another person. It's just my opinion though, and I think I just wanted to show that not all the time you'll end up with the person you think you will end up with. Ohhhh don't listen to me babble on I don't even have a love life save me)
Part 1 | Part 2
It had been around 60 years since you left Mirkwood. After following Tauriel's decision on leaving and helping on matters that the Elvenking Thranduil did not like meddling with, you had forced yourself into a voluntary exile.
You were there in the Battle of the Five Armies, helping the people of Laketown defend their people and caring for the wounded. When news came of how the King Under the Mountain and his two sistersons died in battle, you immediately knew what was going to happen.
You had seen how Tauriel and the other dwarf interacted and how Legolas looked from afar. And you were correct because not long after you heard the news of Legolas' departure.
After doing what you could to help Bard and the people of Laketown, you left and explored, something you weren't able to do when you were still under Thranduil's reign. But after a while, you seeked the comforts of a place you could call home.
So to Rivendell you went and thankfully they were all very welcoming, despite the differences. Lord Elrond offered you a place in the guards after seeing how your skills fared in using a sword.
Soon you also began to patch up your bruised and broken heart. You focused more on yourself, on how to make yourself happy again. You studied and read and found new hobbies that helped calm your thoughts. Protecting the borders also gave you a chance to put all your frustration out.
It was in Rivendell that for the first time in years, you forgot that you had something written on your wrist.
And it was also in Rivendell that when you were reminded of it, you didn't feel pain.
Lord Elrond had called in the people of Middle Earth for a council to discuss what should be done to the One Ring. You were tasked to guard the entrances to Rivendell and look out for the visitors that were expected to come, seeking answers to their questions and bringing news from different parts of the land.
And so you spent your day with a handful of elves with you in welcoming those who arrived. You were surprised to see Gloin whom you had the chance to talk to when you helped with the restoration of Dale. He introduced you to his son Gimli and you laughed at the memory of Gloin showing you a portrait of his wife and his son dozens of times.
But what caught you offguard the most was when your eyes landed upon blue orbs on a face framed by blond locks.
The two of you stared at each other for what seemed like a long time before you took a deep breath. Legolas looked at the ground, afraid of what you might say next. But to his surprise, you placed a closed hand to your heart, head slightly bowed, and afterwards outstretched it towards his direction.
He returned the gesture, eyes wide and shoulders relaxing at your genuine smile.
"Mae g'ovannen, Legolas (Well met, Legolas). Nathlo na Imladris (Welcome to Rivendell)," you said, beaming at him.
Legolas returned your smile, his heart now allowing itself to patch up the wound from your misunderstanding that night he saw your wrist.
"Gin suilon (I greet you), (Y/N)," he answered. "Ci maer (Are you well)?"
"Ni maer (I am well). A gin (And you)?"
Legolas' smile grew wider. "I have never been better."
Your greetings were cut short when your group had to direct them to where they would be staying before the council begins. So he nodded in your direction and went off.
Absentmindedly, you ran a hand over your scar again and smiled to yourself. It was good to have your friend back.
* * * * * * * * *
That night as you sat near a fountain, you heard footsteps coming closer. Without even looking up, you knew who it was. Years in Mirkwood spent with him made you familiar with his actions.
And admittedly, even when you tried to distance yourself before, you still noticed the little things in him.
When his footsteps ceased, you moved a little to give him space for him to sit beside you. Legolas sat down and the two of you remained in comfortable silence, watching the stars in the sky.
"I would like to apologize," Legolas started, looking down at his hands. "My actions were brash and it hurt you."
You shook your head. "Both of us were hurting, Legolas. Both of us were being fooled by those who decided to bring us together."
"Did you ever think what could have happened if we found each other when we needed one another the most?"
You chuckled. "I think your father would already be a grandfather by then."
The both of you laughed at the idea of Thranduil running around to babysit. But Legolas' frowned once more when you asked, "You left Mirkwood after the battle, did you not? Yet you come representing your father. How did you receive news?"
"I did leave, but I also came back, although I have never stayed there for too long whenever I returned. After travelling, I thought it best to come back to Mirkwood and maybe try to be there for my father. I thought it was time to forget the past mistakes and to begin trying to understand him in some way. There is darkness and danger everywhere. Wouldn't it be better if I do something now before it is all too late?
"He also sent me here to bring ill news—Gollum had escaped. And although I know my news would not be taken lightly, I was eager to go. For some reason, it makes me feel proud and happy, that Ada trusts me with something that is of great importance."
"He trusts you because you are destined for great things." You looked at him. "I've known you for years, Legolas. And I've always felt you would be an important figure in this world."
Legolas met your gaze, teary eyed but with lips pulled up into a smile. The sincerity in your voice made his heart swell with happiness, for in the years he spent with doubt in his head and grief in his heart, you were the first to say such words he didn't think he needed to hear.
Unconsciously you ran a hand over your scar again and your small action was noticed by Legolas. He pulled up his sleeve and moved his wrist beside yours. The both of you looked at the words on your wrist: siya pa rin.
Legolas was about to say something when the words begin to fade and new ones started to form:
May pag-asa pa.
Pero ngayon,
Ako naman muna.
And like how it was before, the both of you seemed to understand what they meant without even knowing what language it was.
"Take care of yourself, Legolas," you said, holding his hand in yours with a firm grip. "If there are any calls of help to be made for our kin, I will do what I can to help."
He nodded. "You take care as well, (Y/N). May we meet each other again."
As he left to return to his room, you looked at the words on you wrist again. Then and there you found yourself silently thanking whoever brought you two together for letting you meet again and patch things up.
You were uncertain of what would happen in the future and uncertain of what you would do by then. But for now, you discarded the thoughts. You would focus on the now and on yourself.
You would let yourself heal.
Because to help and love others, you must also know how to help and love yourself.
May pag-asa pa.
Pero ngayon,
Ako naman muna.
There is still hope.
But for now,
It is my turn/I will go(be/put myself) first.
Could you do :) a story :) with some hobbits and Boromir fluff :) (either before he dies or he lives) thank you kindly :)
Absolutely! I’m rediscovering my love for Lord of the Rings, you guys don’t understand!
Reminder, this is set in the same universe as this.
*
Afterward, Boromir travels.
The war is done and the shadow that used to hang over the land is gone, and while Aragorn offers him titles and a place as his most trusted advisor, Boromir steadfastly refuses. There’s greatness in Aragorn, something reminiscent of the long-gone age of the great kings that can’t be ignored, and between him and his delicate elven wife, fiercer than any warrior, Boromir doubts they’d be in need of wisdom.
And in any case, he is tired, weary of fighting. Let his brother stay in court, Boromir would much rather see the land now that it’s no longer being starved.
That does not mean he doesn’t take time to visit, especially when the others are here, though. The palace always feels warmer, inviting, when the Fellowship is residing.
It is also full of surprises.
Like a makeshift picnic in one of the guest rooms.
“Boromir!” Pippin is the first to notice him at the doorway and immediately jumps to his feet, apple rolling off to the floor. “You came!”
“Of course I did,” he smiles, dropping his bag to the stone ground to allow the little ones to wrap their arms around him. They’re surprisingly strong, too, and Boromir is glad there’s nothing more than scars on his chest now. “However would I miss this?”
Merry tugs him inside with a grin, “Legolas is set to arrive in two days,” he talks and Pippin nods furiously at his side, “probably with Gimli. I think they were in Mirkwood last?”
Pippin shudders. “Terrible place,” he shakes his head, retrieving his apple, “but I suppose much changed. Join us for lunch?”
“Isn’t it a little late for lunch?” Boromir asks,  amused. The picnic before him is a rather full one, with food likely nicked from the kitchen, which is to say, Aragorn has probably told his staff to give the Hobbits free rein around food.
“Aragorn is a great host,” Merry starts, very diplomatic.
“The greatest,” Pippin agrees.
“But he doesn’t understand the concept of a second lunch,” Merry continues sadly.
“So we have to make do,” Pippin concludes, gesturing their picnic.
The truth is Boromir is exhausted from his travels. He had planned to sleep well into the night and up to the next morning, rest before the festivities start. But– he must admit, he missed these two fiercely, perhaps even most of all.
And besides, it is very hard to say no to those faces.
“Well then,” he says with a genuine grin, “I suppose I could eat.”
Boku no Hero's Power of Three
The Power of Three is an extremely common theme that has been frequently occurring in fiction, literature as a whole, and just language in general. With Boku no Hero Academia, this theme is displayed in an interesting manner. Utilizing its characters, we see a number of different power trios showcasing different dynamics. The use of trios is an great example of this theme and it is by far one of the most common in fiction. You’ve got teams like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger; Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli; Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura; the list goes on. I mentioned Naruto of course simply because there is entire mechanic in that series that puts its massive cast of heroes into teams of threes. However, the difference between Naruto and Boku no Hero is this, these triads overlap. Our main trio in Boku no Hero consists of our main character Midoriya Izuku, Ochako Uraraka, and Tenya Iida. However, with the new season of the anime, we saw this triad blend together with other characters. The most important trio to emerge from this blending is Izuku, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki. This trio became increasingly relevant to the series as these three serve as the series’ main rivals. These three are the topic of this article as I am actually pretty interested in this interesting take on the rival trope.
The rival character is almost always present in a shonen battle anime. Naruto has Sasuke, Goku has Vegeta, Melodias has Ban, Allen Walker has Yuu Kanda, as before the list goes on. But with Boku no Hero, our rivalry is a triangle which adds a unique dynamic that heavily resonates with the series’ theme of self betterment. The series has a lot to say about working for yourself to improve and grow stronger so that you can achieve your dreams. There is a heavy presence on competition as opposed to cooperation, as seen in shows like Naruto. Basically Boku no Hero get’s rid of the whole “power of friendship” bullshit that is incredibly prevalent in shonen battle anime. The main moral of Boku no Hero isn’t cooperation, but support. It preaches independance and vouches for a lifestyle where people make their own decisions and work for themselves while supporting their friends so they can do the same. This message stands at the forefront of our rivalry. Between these three larger than life heroes there is one common goal and that is to become the number one hero, but each one of them has different ways of going about achieving their goal. With Izuku, he overworks himself and pushes his limits constantly because he frankly has a surprising lack of self worth and constantly claims that he needs to work harder than anyone because of his circumstances. Bakugo on the other hand grew up with young Izuku, who was born Quirkless, and bullied him for said circumstances. However, Bakugo’s attitude changed when Izuku acquired a Quirk and was able to stand toe to toe against him. Bakugo has a bit of a superiority complex, but that does not get in the way of his sense of honor which we will get into later. This brings us to Shoto who has the most fleshed out motivation for striving for the number one spot. Shoto was born of a woman who was essentially forced into a marriage with number two hero Endeavor. This marriage was based purely off of the compatibility of Endeavor’s Quirk and his bride’s, hence Shoto’s half and half appearance. The troubled childhood he suffered through is what pushed him to suppress his powers and only ever use the Quirk he got from his mother. This is the source of his motivation as he essentially wants to make his father eat his words.
So to break things down even further let’s look at each character individually, starting with Izuku. As mentioned before, Izuku demonstrates a surprising lack of self worth for a shonen protagonist. The biggest part of this rivalry’s dynamic is how each member of the triangle sees themselves. Izuku constantly views himself as perpetually on the bottom of the totem pole. This lack of self worth is what forces him to constantly claim that he has to work harder than anyone else. Even when he makes progress he still sees himself as the bottom tier of the totem pole. This is what also creates his severe lack of self preservation as he is more than willing to sacrifice his body in order to achieve a victory. More often than not, his dedication turns to madness and forces him to get extremely reckless, despite his intelligence. This is more than likely why he irks his childhood rival, Bakugo. Bakugo can’t stand this lack of confidence Izuku has, because Bakugo sees Izuku as leagues ahead of himself. This plays heavily into Bakugo’s place in the rivalry.
For Bakugo, there is no meaning to a victory unless both parties use every ounce of strength they have to win. Bakugo, despite being a bit of an asshole in season one, proves to have a bit of a warrior’s code. Originally he just picked on Izuku because he was different. Izuku not having a Quirk was extremely rare and thus made him stand out. He was a prime target for the typical school bully. However, as they grew into their shoes at UA, Bakugo’s attitude shifted. Personally, I believe his hatred in Izuku is rooted in the same reason he resents his victory in the Sports Festival. Bakugo despises weakness. He especially hates it when the strong either don’t utilize their strength or view themselves as weak, this is evident in his views on both Izuku and Shoto. He doesn’t want to win when he himself hasn’t worked for it, or his opponent for that matter. He firmly believes that if you don’t work for your winnings then you haven’t won at all. This brings us to young Shoto.
Shoto Todoroki is by far the most troubled of the three rivals in Boku no Hero Academia. His backstory is tragic due to an abusive childhood he suffered through. The pressure of being forced to live up the expectations of his father is what drove him to become the subject of quite a lot of frustration from both Bakugo and Izuku. In season two we learn of how Todoroki was conceived and the sort of childhood he lived. He began intense and grueling physical training at the age of five and his mother did her best to support the troubled child. In short, Todoroki’s father is basically Heihachi from Tekken. This abusive childhood brewed a deep hatred towards Endeavor, which manifests in Todoroki vowing to never use his “other side.” This vow of his earns the scorn of his rivals and culminates in possibly one of the greatest fights in all of anime. (Yes I am dead serious.) Both Izuku and Bakugo are infuriated that Todoroki dares to aim for the number one spot while only using half his strength. They essentially point out that Todoroki’s brooding is one giant middle finger to everyone in the Sports Festival, especially those not in the hero class as they have had to work twice as hard as those in the Hero Course. Izuku manages to reach through to Todoroki and get him to use his fire, but afterwards Todoroki begins to doubt himself and the path he should take, forcing him to essentially forfeit to Bakugo. Bakugo of course despises this action taken by Todoroki.
All three of these characters have a common goal and different methods for reaching that goal, but there is a lot of clever foreshadowing in this season that hints to the relationship between these three deepening in surprising ways. The bond between Izuku and Todoroki is now obvious. It really only took one moment of the two of them smiling for the audience to realize that these two are gonna end up bros for life. As for Bakugo, things are a little more complex and take some reading into. We know from Izuku’s analysis that Bakugo has had a dramatic shift in character ever since the incident at USJ in season one. However, the overall attitude Bakugo has towards Izuku has changed as well. As I stated before, Bakugo despises weakness, but there is a moment where despite all the bullshit surrounding their relationship, Izuku comes through for Bakugo. During Bakugo’s fight against Shoto, Izuku encourages Shoto to use his flames once again. Bakugo insults Izuku in response with a smile on his face, though this time his insult seems more friendly than before. He seems to genuinely appreciate that Izuku wants to see Bakugo get what he wants and truly earn his victory. Not only that, but watching the fight between Izuku and Todoroki more than likely showed Bakugo what Izuku’s true resolve was like. Throughout the fight, Bakugo offers commentary several times, demonstrating his genuine interest in the match. They even show his astonishment when Izuku begins to push himself far beyond his limit. Even when Izuku tells Todoroki straight that everyone is fighting with everything they have to achieve their dream, there is a single panel of just Bakugo’s face. Bakugo was moved by this fight about as much as Todoroki was.
The rivalry between these three characters is by far one of the most interesting relationships I have seen among characters, and not only in anime. Because of the messages and themes of Boku no Hero Academia, the rivalry these characters share is possibly one of the most intense and also the most heartwarming. The fights these three had in the Sports Festival show just how far these three are willing to go for their dream of being number one. Not only that, it shows us that they will go just as far to support each other. Each one of these characters shows immense promise as the next generation of heroes, but they still have a long way to go. Izuku still needs to control his powers and learn restraint. Todoroki needs to settle his family matters and learn to accept all of his Quirk. Bakugo needs to learn to cool off and rely on his friends more, which he has already started to do since the cavalry battle earlier in the season. These characters have a lot of development in their future and I am so excited to see them grow together and become great heroes in the future of the series.
Boku no Hero Academia is shaping up to be one of best shonen series since the big three. It already has Shonen Jump’s number two spot and is still climbing. Who knows if it will surpass One Piece in rankings, but for an anime only like myself it is very obvious why this story grew in popularity. I cannot wait to see the second half of season two and am looking forward to seeing the next arc which I have heard is one of the best if not the best in the series. I hope you enjoyed the article.
