i think the dungeon meshi anime is also weird concerning focus in the episode, where it'll opt for... a strange presentation of the scene, for some reason, instead of doing what it should do.

the manga originally presents laios as having a new determination to win his companions' trust back, he's clearly focusing on them and thinking. while the others, along with the clones, are warily looking back at him, not trusting laios, we get to see the clones and think about who is left.

while the anime opts for some weird perspective... for some reason, making me feel like im fucking Thistle watching these idiots roam about my dungeon. I found myself not listening to either person's words here in these scenes at all, just because I didnt see a face. If triiger put more emphasis on this scene in some other unique way, I probably would have entirely misinterpreted the scene. You cant see any of their faces up close, and it makes them look unimportant, when the characters designs are the literal focus of the entire ep/scene. I genuinely dont know why they did that here.

I complained abt this exact same thing for the past 3 eps (the anime focusing on kabru flatly staring at laios while he very animatedly!! gushed abt monsters, the anime focusing on a maizuru who was a background gag while kabru was trying to leave a permanent memory in laios memory, and now this, along w chilchuck doing the same as the first example), so... idk what theyre doing. they can give some scenes a fair amount of emphasis, senshi's scene in the 2nd half was good, but these other moments feel off.

hey y'all, anyone have any good stress relief tehniques or habits they'd like to share cuz I've been more stressed in the last 3 weeks then I was in the last 6 months

I’m so sorry I hate to be that person but, you seem to mention your inability to take care of your pets a lot. I know you’re doing your best to take of them but they still aren’t receiving proper care and I won’t lie, I worry for their health. Maybe you should consider rehoming them…?

Thank you for the concern, but I CAN take care of them, it’s just 2023 was a very hard year to do so financially(not just pet supplies but rent and food and medical too; this was an unforeseen situation bc none of us were expecting dad to go blind and mom’s bad fall in December of ‘22). We do manage to get them their food with sales/coupons even if things aren’t tight. The cat litter situation is completely my bad, I forgot to figure it in the budget in my sleep deprived state mid December, not to mention the fact that the price went up in the kind I usually buy(literally the cheapest brand food city carries) so I wouldn’t have been able to buy any last paycheck in the first place. I did at least ration the little we had out to last it two more cleanings enough for this paycheck, which has really worked out in the long run thankfully. It can last at least two more days, but no longer than that whatsoever.

My pets are well fed and are healthy despite our money situation. Like the rest of America we’re financially fucked beyond comprehension right now, but we make it work even if it kills us.
