nobody on here is talking about mountain x primo and they're literally perfect.

imagine forest fae mountain who was sent through to the surface by Lucifer when the mountains themselves were first created. he's been on this earth for a very long time, and one day he is told by his Lord to gather stones and rocks for an abbey that is going to be built. a church that humans will build in Lucifer's name. so mountain does as he's asked, and watches with interest as these humans build a beautiful big abbey.

time passes, and mountain exists as he always has. living in the forest, being the forest. taking care of the other beasts that reside in the trees, both natural to this world and not. humans come and go from the abbey, years and years go by. then one day, mountain sees him.

primo, who is young and full of life, with long blonde hair and sparkling eyes who has the world in front of him. primo, tasked with looking after his younger brothers but never complains. who has dreams of his own but decides eventually that the church deserves better than his father, they deserve someone who will take papacy seriously and do Lord Lucifer proud. he becomes Papa, but can still be seen in the garden whenever time allows it.

the abbey gardens and greenhouse are a beautiful thing, providing food for the abbey and flowers for the bees in the hives. mountain sometimes comes out at night and wanders the rows, helping the plants that need a little extra attention. he pretends that's why he does it, and not a secret wish to see the blond-headed man who seems so ethereal, up close. and he supposes this is where the rumour starts. somebody out of bed late at night, spotting him through the stained glass.

theres a monster in the forest

there are many monsters in the forest, and mountain is the worst of them. the rumour spreads like wildfire, so he's not surprised when there is a human-shaped snapping of twigs and rustling of leaves one day. he's surprised when it's the man he's been watching. he's even prettier up close.

it doesn't take much convincing for mountain to leave the forest and stay in the abbey for a while. he can return whenever he likes after all, and he's helping the garden anyway as it is. he might as well get some credit for it, and although he has to wear clothes and glamour his natural appearance, it isnt so bad.

and when primo falls hard for the mysterious and wise mountain with kind green eyes and a soft voice, who teaches him so much and directs him with calloused but gentle hands, well, it's only a matter of time before they start ducking into bathrooms giggling, or vanishing into the forest and returning with windswept hair and hickies.
