*1.* In a beautiful Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: _"When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in-between the shroud and the chest of the deceased. When after the burial, the people return home, 2 angels, namely, Munkar and Nakeer (being names of two special Angels), come in the grave and try to separate this handsome man from the dead man, so that they may be able to interrogate the dead man in privacy about his faith. But the handsome man will say, 'He is my companion, he is my friend. I will not leave him alone. If you are appointed for interrogation, do your job. I cannot leave him until I get him admitted into Paradise'. Thereafter he turns to his dead companion and says, 'I am the Qur'an, which you used to read, sometimes in a loud voice and sometimes in a low voice. Do not worry. After the interrogation by Munkar and Naker, you will have no grief.' When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for the dead, from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the Angels in Heaven), silk bedding filled with musk."_
*2.* Rasulullah (SAW) said: _"On the Day of Judgement, before Allah, no other Intercessor will have a greater status than the Qur'an, neither a Prophet nor an angel."_

Kylo Ren x Female Reader
Words: 6640
Chapters: 4/10
Chapter Summary: Y/n and Kylo’s mission to Planet Korr has been stressful, but Kylo makes it up to her the night before they return to Starkiller Base.
Story Summary: (tentative) As Kylo Ren steps into power as Supreme Leader, he struggles to use his power to effectively lead the Empire. Y/N is a renowned Commander eagerly working her way up the ranks. Her loyalty to the Empire is tested when the Supreme Leader suddenly takes an interest in her. When one date becomes several and she is ultimately tasked with becoming Empress and wife of the Supreme Leader, will Y/N be able to handle that kind of power outside the commander’s uniform?
CW: cursing, mentions of drinking, angst, romance, making out, kissing, fluff, semi-nudity
“Cheers” I exclaim while clinking drinks with Hux, Ameen, and Kylo. The others join in and we all proceed to take a swig.
After two days of heated deliberation, Planet Korr is now part of the First Order… Well, sort of. We spoke to a panel of 7 leaders who only vowed to agree to our deal on a unanimous vote. On our first day, only three voted yes. By midday day two, we had managed to convince two more. But by the end of the day, all seven had agreed, only because the Supreme Leader had used the force to coerce the last two into agreeing. We got what we wanted, but at what cost? If we had more time we could’ve gotten a real deal, one that didn’t involve Force manipulation, but the Supreme Leader didn’t see it that way.
“Commander y/n it was your idea to come to this star forsaken planet,” The Supreme Leader scolded. “And here we are trying to convince these imbeciles that they’d be ever so lucky to join the First Order. They’re lucky I didn’t strike this planet at first chance!” He had exclaimed while banging his fist on the table.
“I understand, Supreme Leader. It might take a bit more time than expected, but I truly believe we can reach an agreement.”
“Nonsense! We cannot afford another wasted minute on this hopeless planet than already allocated! Commander y/n, I believed in your plan, but if it proves to be a failure by end of day tomorrow, you will be suspended from assisting on any major assignments.”
“But, Supreme Leader, you can't,” I whined. It killed me to have had to whine like that, but I couldn’t stand the thought of being punished for a good idea gone wrong. The Supreme Leader looked red in the face, ready to explode even more before General Hux cut in.
“Sir, if I may suggest,” Hux treaded lightly.
“Yes, General Hux. Please give me some good news,” Supreme Leader said after a heavy sigh and a run of his fingers through his hair.
“There is perhaps an option available to us, should the leaders of the Amian panel fail to reach a unanimous vote of agreement… I believe that if all else were to fail, the use of the Force should be of great advantage to us. Thanks to Commander y/n, I greatly believe Planet Korr could be of advantage to the First Order, and as such, I am willing to employ one more tactic before striking the planet altogether. If we use the Force to enter the minds of all who oppose, then it is guaranteed that we can reach an agreement.”
“Brilliant! Hux, if it weren’t for you, I’d be ready to leave this place and strike it with weaponry containing the power of a thousand suns!”
“I understand sir,” Hux responded. What the hell? Why is he praising Hux for an idea that is partially mine and what isn’t partially mine is highly unethical! How can you justify controlling the minds of others just because they do not submit to your demands?
“With all due respect, I highly disagree with General Hux’s plan. I do not find it to be an ethically wise decision to use The Force to manipulate the vote,” I stated.
“It’s no longer up to you Commander y/n, you’ve proven that much. At this point, it is our only option. Sacrifices must be made for the greater good of the First Order. Perhaps it was far too much of a sacrifice to have brought you on this mission,” he said as though it were a factual observation such as “the atmosphere on this planet is quite humid”.
“Far too much of a sacrifice to have brought me here” is Supreme Leader for “why did we even bring you here?”. As in, “we shouldn’t have brought you here not just because you’re a lowly commander but because you didn’t have what it takes to be successful in the First Order. You weren’t good enough for the Supreme Leader.”
I was lucky to have gained their trust, but it’s long gone now. I mean how could I have known the Amians would have been apprehensive? I did all the research I could, but apparently it wasn’t enough.
“General Ameen, do you have any input in the matter,” the Supreme Leader asked.
“If it were not for General Hux’s proposition, I would have suggested striking the planet entirely, sir”
“And so it is settled. Ladies and gentlemen, we will try again tomorrow, but worst case scenario occurs, we all know what we need to do,” the Supreme Leader finished.
Now, the day is almost over, deliberations are done, and we leave in the morning. I can’t wait to return to my quarters on Starkiller Base.
Before the night ended, the men wanted to “celebrate” at a local tavern near our lodging quarters. So now here we are eating and drinking away our stress. The Supreme Leader’s words are still ringing in my brain. I try to ignore them, but they continue to vibrate about my body. I loathe him so much right now. And I hate the fact that I want nothing more than to talk about it with Kylo.
The men are engrossed in conversation, but I’m not keeping track. I keep tuning in and out. The moments I tune in, I just hear bullshit and the moments I tune out, I ruminate about all the things I wish I could have said to the Supreme Leader. Maybe if you focused your time on the important things for the First Order, then maybe we wouldn’t be over here scrambling to make a simple deal! Maybe if you trained your soldiers properly and weren’t such a scary dickhead, we would be better at our jobs! But even if all those things weren’t a problem, there’s two things making me regret ever going on this trip. First, the way the Supreme Leader yelled at me in front of the others was so embarrassing and painful it makes me question my worth and place in the First Order. Second, it really disturbs me how easily the Supreme Leader was able to use the Force to coerce them into agreeing. If he can do it to them, what’s to say he wouldn’t do the same to me if it came down to it?
“Y/n,” the Supreme Leader says across the table.
“Huh,” I respond, falling out of my trance.
“We asked if you were enjoying your meal,” he says with concern.
“Oh yes, it’s absolutely delicious,” I compliment earnestly. The local delicacies are mouthwatering. I continue to eat, both savoring the food and figuring if food occupies my mouth, the others won’t be bothered to make me talk.
I look forward at Ameen and see him lively engaging in conversation with the Supreme Leader to his side and Hux next to me. If we weren’t here on a mission, I would have enjoyed this. Eating lovely food in a cozy booth among the locals of this lively tavern is actually quite nice. The ambiance is so warm and welcoming, an appreciated contrast from the cold and often sterile halls of the base.
Oh, what am I going to tell Kylo when I get back? After this trip, I’m not sure I have anything nice to say. It’s times like this where I know I should separate his professional side from his personal side, but it’s so damn hard. There’s a side of him I’m seeing at work that I fear I might see outside of work too and I don't want that at all. I feel so lost. I was doing so well until now, until him. Maybe I just need to take some time to be alone. I just need to take a step back and see where things went wrong.
I look left and see Kylo staring at me. I hear Hux and Ameen talking about something I can’t quite discern, but I see Kylo trying to tell me something with his eyes. It looks like concern mixed with something I don’t recognize, but I act as if I don’t register and continue to ignore him. If I wasn’t so upset, I would hardly be able to contain my excitement at how cute he looks in his plainclothes. I wasn’t expecting to see him in something other than black. Tonight he’s wearing an olive green button up top with the sleeves rolled up his forearms. It’s form fitting and hugs the curves of his broad shoulders and the defined muscles of his arms and chest. After our “successful” deliberations, we all set out to our rooms to change and get ready for this evening's dinner. I had brought a dress that walked the fine like of flattering yet appropriate. I envisioned something like this happening while hoping for a late night adventure alone with Kylo. I don’t know if that last part will happen anymore but if it’ll hurt him to see me in this dress and not be able to do anything about it then perhaps it might have been worth it.
“I would say this mission has been rendered a success. Thanks to the three of you, the First Order is in good hands,” Kylo says, catching my attention. He looks me in the eyes and nods.
“Agreed. Hux, Ameen, it has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with you on this mission. While some of my areas of improvement have been greatly highlighted, I recognize there is much to learn from you both and I appreciated the opportunity to have done so here,” I smile while swallowing my anger. I did want to take some time to thank them anyway, regardless of the mission’s outcome and I don’t want my anger with Kylo to overshadow that.
I don’t get Kylo. One moment he’s berating me, the next he’s complimenting like the former never happened.
Hux and Ameen offer their feedback both complimenting me and offering advice for areas of improvement and I appreciate it from them. They’re both people that I would really love to be mentored by. I try my best to focus, but Kylo’s presence is still messing with my head.
The night continues to go on and I keep tuning in and out of their menial conversations. I’ll admit one thing, Kylo was right in saying Ameen was a joker. I’ve never laughed so hard around anyone in my entire life. Between laughing and ruminating about my anger at Kylo, I enjoy the live music and spot people dancing at an open area across the tavern.
“Y/n,” Ameen catches my attention.
“Yes,” I answer.
“Is everything okay? You seem a bit far away,” he asks.
“Me, oh yes everything’s ok. I’m sorry I keep getting distracted by the music and people dancing,” I feign. It’s not the whole truth, but they don’t need to know that.
“Dancing, what dancing?”
“Over there,” I nod my head in the direction behind him. Ameen turns over his shoulder to see the gathered people dancing to the sounds of the Amian instruments and sung words.
“Oh, I see. Do you enjoy dancing y/n,” Ameen asks curiously. I instinctively look at Kylo from my peripheral and see him lean forward.
“Oh… um, yes I do actually. I haven’t had the opportunity to do so in quite some time, but many years back I enjoyed going out dancing with friends,” I admit. I know this may not be appropriate to share, but Ameen’s laidback and lively nature make me feel comfortable enough to say things like that.
“That’s brilliant! I used to be quite the dancer back on my home planet, many many moons ago. Although the places I frequented were far more lively than this cozy albeit rather dull tavern, wouldn’t you agree,” he lights up.
“Um… yeah, kind of,” I blurt out, not really sure how to respond to his all over the place statement.
“Y/n, would you care to liven the place up with me,” he asks with his hand offered to me. I look from his wide eyed grin to Kylo’s confuses face and Hux’s blank smile.
“Oh, um…,” I say.
“Please, y/n may I have this dance? It would be my honor.”
“Oh, um, I–”
“It’s ok y/n, I’m sure Tlatl wouldn’t mind,” he snickers, referring to his husband whom I heard quite a bit about over last night’s dinner.
“Oh haha it’s not that,” I stammer. Something about this feels so embarrassing and weird especially since I can feel Kylo’s glare burning holes in me.
“I mean, that would be fun, but wouldn’t it be more fun if we all went? C’mon, let’s all go dance,” I exclaim and look to Hux and Kylo for their responses.
“Oh that’s okay, I’m not much of a dancer anyway,” Hux responds waving a hand.
“I’ll stay here with Hux,” Kylo blankly responds. I look at him and he averts my gaze.
“Well, in that case, shall we?” I grab Ameen’s extended hand and we make our way over to the crowd of people dancing.
The band is playing a loud and fast-paced song. The banging percussion and smooth guitar type instrument produces a tropical type of music that allows Ameen and I ample opportunity to sway to the rhythm. Ameen does some silly movements, generating a hearty laugh from me. We continue the pattern of swaying and silly moves for a few songs till Ameen suddenly hunches over and brings his leg up with his arm. He reaches for my shoulder to stabilize his stance.
“Ameen are you okay?”
“Yes, yes young one, I am okay. I fear I may have pulled a hamstring. Perhaps I should have done a proper set of stretches before embarking on such a treacherous mission,” he jokes as I help him hobble back to our booth.
“Is everyone okay,” Kylo asks with concern while rushing out of his seat to help Ameen sit.
“Yes, all is well. I was told here by young y/n that I am far too old to be doing what I do and calling that dancing,” Ameen teases.
“I did not,” I teasingly defend.
“Are you okay Ameen,” Hux asks as Ameen slides in the open space next to him.
“Yes, I think I just might have pulled a hamstring.”
“Do we need to take you to a medical center?”
“No, no, all I require is rest and perhaps some pain relieving medicine.”
“Oh yes, I brought a first aid kit in my baggage. I knew this mission wouldn’t involve active combat, but I bring it in cases of emergencies just like this one,” Hux excitedly responds, happy to help in the situation.
“Okay, let’s go take Ameen back to our lodging so he can take some medicine and get some rest,” I announce.
“No, no please do not cut your night short on account of me,” Ameen responds.
“It is no problem, sir,” I say.
“No, y/n this is not a question, it’s an order. Go out and have fun, enjoy your youth.”
“But sir I–”
“It’s okay, y/n, if you would like to stay out a bit longer. I don’t mind taking Ameen back. I was a bit ready to head in for the night anyways,” Hux reassures. I look at Kylo and silently hope that he’ll insist on all of us going back.
“In that case, I will stay out with y/n to ensure her safety,” he states while looking from me to Hux and Ameen. I look at him. Are you out of your mind?
“Well, I hope the two of you have fun,” Ameen warmly smiles, no hint of smirk or sarcasm in his words.
“Remember, we are to leave promptly in the morning,” Hux reminds us.
“Yes, sir,” Kylo and I say in unison.
Kylo and I watch Hux and Ameen slowly make their way out of the tavern. We wait until they’re out of sight before we say a word. When they’re gone I look over to Kylo. He looks from the table to me.
“Um, should we just pay the bill and get out of here,” I suggest. As much as I want to stay and dance a bit more, I don’t want Hux and Ameen catching onto us.
“The bill has been paid already,” Kylo responds.
“What? When did that happen?”
“It happened while you were out there,” he says with eyes squinted and chin jutting out toward the crowd of people dancing. He taps his finger repeatedly on the surface of the table
“Oh,” I mutter. I turn around and look at the smiling faces and moving bodies and suddenly an idea comes to mind.
“Well, would you, maybe… wanna go out there… with me,” I ask. Kylo jerks his face back and furrows his eyebrows in confusion.
“What?”
“Kylo, let’s go dance! It’s just us now.”
“I already said I don’t dance.”
“No you didn’t, Hux did. And then you said you’d stay with him, not that you also don’t dance,” I correct him.
“Well, I’m saying it now. I don’t dance.”
“Why not?”
“Because I simply don’t.”
“You don’t or you won’t?”
“Y/n”
“Kylo… will you please? For me?” We stare in each other's eyes, competing, for a few seconds straight.
“No”
“No? Oh… Okay. Well I’m going to follow Ameen’s orders. You can join me if you like, but even if you don’t, I’ll be out there. Sorry you have to make another sacrifice on account of me,” I spit and walk out of the booth. I march to the dance floor and find a spot that’s just within eyesight of Kylo. He’s far enough away that I can’t see his facial expressions, but I can see he’s looking in my direction.
I dance on my own for the first song and then a burly stranger with deep brown skin and luscious curls approaches me.
“Hey there,” he yells over the music.
“Hi,” I respond. I’m slightly excited by the attractive stranger but also anxiously anticipating Kylo’s reaction to this.
“I’ve never seen you here before,” he says.
“I’ve never seen you here before either,” I respond. How do you flirt with someone to make someone else jealous but remain elusive enough that they don’t actually think you’re interested?
“No seriously, my cousin owns the place, I’m here all the time,” he says and gestures over to a girl talking to a bartender.
“Oh, well lucky for you to have such a successful cousin,” I tease and subtly attempt to look for Kylo. He’s not in his seat anymore so I scan the room, but I don’t see him.
“You’re a funny little thing,” the stranger responds.
“I’ve never been called little before so that’s kind of funny too,” I respond and he quirks a smile.
“Seriously, are you from around here?”
“Um, no. I’m not,” I say with a forced smile while continuing to lazily move to the beat. Kylo where are you?
“Okay mystery, what brings you here tonight?” The stranger cocks his head and licks his lips.
“I’m here for work stuff,” I respond and the stranger places a hand on my waist and I jerk in response.
“Hey it’s okay, beautiful. Mind telling me your name?”
“Um… It’s y/n,” I respond. Damn it. Should I have made up a fake name? Well my name and that I’m not from here isn’t that much information about a person anyways. I look around for Kylo and he’s nowhere to be found.
“What’s wrong, y/n? Are you looking for your boyfriend,” the stranger teases.
“No because he’s right here,” Kylo’s deep voice echoes as he cuts in from behind the stranger. I feel a weight lift off my shoulders.
The stranger stops dancing and moves to the side to look at Kylo. Kylo glares at him with arms crossed over his chest. Even though he is more muscular than Kylo, Kylo is so much taller than him it appears to be enough to intimidate the stranger.
“Oh, I see. Well, it was lovely dancing with you, y/n,” the stranger says with a disappointed look on his face.
“As for you, you’re a very lucky man,” the stranger says to Kylo with a wagging finger. Kylo places a protective hand on my waist as the stranger walks away. He leans forward and aggressively kisses me on the mouth. I jerk back.
“Kylo,” I exclaim.
“Y/n, are you mad,” Kylo yells over the music.
“No, I–”
“What were you thinking?!”
“What was I thinking? What were you thinking? You said you’d stay to ‘protect’ me and then you left me all alone!!”
“Y/n, I–”
“No, you listen to me. I just wanted to have some fun damn it! This has been a really stressful mission for me and now that it’s over, I just wanted to dance and let loose for a bit! And there was only one person in the whole galaxy I wanted to dance with but he didn’t even want to dance with me,” I exclaim, fighting my lip’s urge to tremble uncontrollably.
Kylo harshly exhales and pulls my body in for a hug, resting his chin on the top of my head. He strokes my hair in one hand and holds me closely by the waist in the other. I wrap my arms around his waist and lay my head on his chest. He closes his eyes and furrows his eyebrows.
“Fine,” he says and opens his eyes, “If this is what you want, then fine, but I need you to tell me what to do.”
“What?” I ask, surprised by his reaction and confused by his statement. I pull back enough to look up at him.
“I need you to tell me what to do with this dance thing. I don’t know how the fuck to move,” he barks.
“Oh, okay,” I sigh in relief.
The band keeps playing upbeat music, so I leave his hand on my waist and place my hands on his shoulders. I shake my hips and move my waist in a figure eight motion. I guide his shoulders to move in a similar motion.
“Across styles, the dance between male and female usually involves the male to move at the shoulder-chest level and the female to move at the hips-waist level,” I explain as I guide his movements.
“We can stay in place for now, but just focus on your upper body. Feel the music. Move to the rhythm,” I say on beat with the music. It’s so cute to see him concentrate so hard. Surprisingly, he can follow a rhythm, but his body still moves a bit robotically.
“Kylo, you’re really tense,” I say and rub my hands across the broad landscape of his shoulders, “try to loosen up a bit and relax.”
“That’s kind of hard, y/n,” he grunts.
“It’s okay. I’m right here Kylo. Just look at me and pretend like no one else is here. Just let go and let the rhythm take over,” I gently instruct. I notice a slight shift in his body but then he goes back to being tense again.
“Kylo, c’mon its–”
“No, it's you. You’re making me nervous,” he blurts out while looking down at his feet. A sheen of sweat coats his milky forehead, making a few strands of hair stick to it. His eyes are blown out and his cheeks are tinged pink.
“I’m trying,” he adds.
“That’s okay and you’re doing great,” I assure. “But if it’s me that’s making you nervous, then let’s try this.” I grab his hand that’s on my waist and use it to turn myself around so that my back faces his front. I place his hand on my right hip and he places his other hand on my left. I begin to resume my movement and hear a sharp hiss behind me. I turn my head to the left and shout, “Is this better?”
“Yeah,” he responds and slowly his movements feel incrementally more relaxed and confident.
“See, you’re doing great,” I compliment. We continue moving like that till the end of the song. When it transitions to another one, I decide to spice things up and place my hands on top of his. I guide one inward and downward to rest on my upper thigh. I guide the other in the opposite direction to rest at my waist.
“Y/n,” Kylo says in my ear while tucking a strand of hair behind it.
“Yeah?”
“Maybe we should…”
“We should, what?” I ask and giggle in response to his featherlight kisses on my ear. I tilt my neck to the side and lean my head back into his chest. With more access, he moves down to my neck and continues his kisses there. Once he finds my sweet spot, he latches on and starts sucking on the tender skin.
“Kylo, no,” I whine and then move away and turn back around to face him.
“What’s wrong,” he says, hurt visible on his face. I bring my hand to his neck and his go back to my hips.
“I don’t think we should be doing that. You can’t mark me like that and expect the others not to notice.”
“We’ll just say it’s a bruise,” he says and kisses my forehead.
“But you know they would ask questions about it,” I respond and he frowns.
“Y/n, I’m the Supreme Leader of the First Order and if those guys have anything to say to me, that’ll be the end of them,” he quips sarcastically. My arms fall to my sides and I step back.
“That’s just it. You’re untouchable, but I’m not,” I respond and feel my eyes start to water with memories of the night before resurfacing. “I think we should just go back to our lodging and call it a night,” I say and weave my way to the entrance of the tavern. By the time I make it outside and the humid air envelopes me, Kylo catches up to me.
“Wait,” Kylo says out of breath and stands in front of me. “You made me promise that we were going to do something fun here and this is me keeping that promise.”
“It’s okay Kylo, dancing in there was enough fun, you don’t have to worry about it anymore.”
“No, that was just the start of the fun we’re going to have.”
“Really, because I think the fun really started last night when I got the chewing out of a lifetime and a rage explosion from you over something that was out of my control. That was super fun. So if you don’t mind, I think I’ve had enough fun for now. I just want to go home.”
“Y/n,” he sighs, “I can explain that, just maybe not here.” I look around and see random patrons coming in and out of the tavern or milling about. Maybe this isn’t really the best time or place to unpack all that.
“Fine, we can talk about it later, but I’m serious, I just want to go home now.”
“Wait, y/n. There’s something I want to show you. Please allow me to take you there. The others already don’t expect to see us till the morning. That means we only have one night here, together, and I want to spend it with you,” he pleads. I evaluate my options before reluctantly agreeing.
He takes my hand and leads me along a beaten path. It’s dark out with only the light from the stars and the planet’s three moons. We weave through sparse shrubbery for a large distance until we hit sand. The sound of waves crashing hits my ears and the smell of saltwater fills my nostrils.
“Where are we,” I inquire with wonder.
“As we were flying in, I noticed a body of water near our lodging grounds. I was hoping that if we had time we could go and explore it.”
“It’s breathtaking,” I comment as we walk closer to the water and the sand gives way beneath our feet.
There's virtually no one here, save for a few individuals and couples wandering around like us, but there is a distinct distance between us all.
“Kylo,” I say and stop him in his tracks. He turns to look at me. I look up into his eyes. The starlight makes them glisten and I become entranced.
“I was angry with you earlier. Actually I still kind of am, but if this is one of the few moments we can spend together doing something fun outside the ship, then I want to take full advantage of it. But make no mistake, we have a lot to talk about, so I need you to promise me that we will when we get back home tomorrow,” I order.
“Yes, my love, your wish is my command,” he croons as he cups my cheek. His lengthy waves the color of the night swish in the light breeze. I sigh in relief.
“Your hair is nice,” I absentmindedly comment as I run my fingers through his hair.
“My hair is nice,” he quizzically asks.
“Yes, I mean, you have nice hair like it’s good thick stuff,” I respond while tightening my fingers in a fist for emphasis.
“Oh you like good thick stuff? I’ll keep that noted,” he teases and walks away. Heat rises in my cheeks.
“You know what I mean. I could run my fingers through your hair all day. It’s so fluffy and thick and pretty,” I say as I speed-walk to catch up with him.
“You think I’m pretty?”
“Yes you are Kylo. You’re very pretty,” I say half joking and half serious.
“What’s so pretty about this,” he stops and says, gesturing to his face.
“Well, your hair for one, but you also have pretty eyes and a pretty nose,” I comment, running my finger along the bridge of his nose.
“Are we talking about the same face here?”
“Yes. And even this is pretty too,” I say referring to the scar under my fingertips. His eyes trace my movements.
“Well that may be so to you, but it pales in comparison to the beauty of the one standing before,” he says and I gulp.
“For she has beautiful deep brown eyes that shine brighter than all the stars in the entire galaxy… Not to mention her soft lips that constantly beckon to me,” he recites like poetry to me.
“Kylo,” I blush.
“But what I like most is your smile. I like the way it light up your whole face, your whole being. It puts everything else to shame.”
And right as the waves behind us crash, his lips crash onto mine. His fingers wrap around the base of my throat, the tender skin coated in the heat of his hands. He brushes his thumb back and forth on my cheek. I bring my hands to his hair and run my fingers through his waves. I pull back from the kiss at a certain thought.
“You know, your hair is almost long enough that I think I could braid it,” I comment.
“Y/n, you really interrupted me for that,” he groans before resuming.
“Mhm,” I emit through the kiss and he chuckles. After enough kissing, I pull back from his lips.
“Hey, we should go in there,” I tell him.
“In where?”
“In the water, silly.”
“Y/n, we don’t have the proper attire for that,” he blows me off.
“Who says our undergarments aren’t enough attire for a night swim? Or we could also do what a lot of people do and just,” I suggest and then whisper in his ear, “go skinny dipping.” He gasps and it makes me laugh.
“Don’t tell me The Supreme Leader is shy now,” I taunt.
“I hate it when you use that name against me,” he teases back.
“Yeah, well I hate it when you use that name against me too,” I retort.
“Y/n, it’s different. I had to act like the Supreme Leader back there–”
“I know, I know. I’m sorry I didn’t want to talk about that now so I shouldn’t have brought it up. But seriously Kylo, I want to go in. What do you say,” I plead with my best doe eyes. I run my hands along his shoulders and arms in the hope that it’ll ease his body.
“But there’s… people around,” he says quietly.
“Yeah and they’re all far away and it’s dark out so really, who’s going to actually see us?” His eyes move back and forth between my own.
“Okay, but what about when we get out of the water, we don’t have any towels.”
“We have the breeze to dry us down. C’mon Kylo, live a little.”
“Are you really ready to do something like this,” he asks and I realize he’s not talking about a spontaneous night swim.
“Well, I’m a little scared, but I think it could be fun. And even if we don’t do it now, it’ll probably happen sooner or later,” I explain and he exhales.
“Okay,” he nods and starts unbuttoning his shirt.
“Wait!” I take the moment to grab his shirt by the collar and pull him close to me and he looks at me startled.
“Forgetting what we’re about to do right now, I really like this shirt on you. It makes you look so unbelievably sexy,” I say, holding eye contact with him. I let go and start removing my shoes. I look up to see Kylo bug eyed and frozen in place.
“C’mon Kylo, we don’t have all night,” I say and he rushes to unbutton his top. I move on to remove my dress and Kylo kicks off his shoes.
“Wait, are we doing just up to undergarments or all the way,” I ask, standing before him in only a matching solid black bra and panty set. He only has his pants on. He gulps and I can see his adam’s apple move. His eyes scan my body and a cool breeze flows past.
“Maybe we should just stay up to undergarments for now,” he says while kicking off his pants. He licks his lips and looks around everything below my neck.
“Kylo,” I snap. His head shoots up.
“Eyes up here star boy,” I say while pointing to my eyes. He nods and finishes removing his clothes
“Let’s put our stuff here,” he says while assembling our loose clothes into two neat piles.
“Okay, this is it,” I say. We look at one another, restraining ourselves from looking anywhere other than the other's eyes.
“Okay, on the count of three, we go in,” he suggests and I nod.
“One,” he says.
“Two,” I say and reach for his hand.
“Three,” he says and we run off in a mad dash to the water. I scream as we enter the refreshing water.
“It’s cold,” I shriek.
“Better than the sweltering heat out there,” Kylo responds.
“Let’s go deeper,” I exclaim and we waddle into the water until it reaches my chest level and Kylo’s waist level.
“Why do you have to be so short,” he teases.
“Me? Short? I’m taller than Ameen and practically the same height as Hux. You’re just really tall,” I say and move in to hug him. I wrap my arms around him and lay my head on his wet chest. Then we pull apart to swim around for a bit. The waves pull us apart but we swim under the water toward each other again.
When we come up from under the water, we bob up and down with the motion of the ocean. We stare at the other and I admire his water tousled hair and the crystal beads adorning his face and chest.
“You look so beautiful like this,” he says. He kisses me and I chuckle from how salty he tastes.
“What,” he asks.
“You taste really salty,” I observe. He bends down and slowly licks a stripe along my collarbone.
“So do you,” he replies but I’m frozen from his touch. I shakily let out a breath. He moves his hands down to the backs of my thighs and pulls them upwards.
“Hold on tight,” he mutters and I wrap my arms around his neck. He trudges out of the water, carrying me like so.
“Wh-Where are we going,” I ask, shivering from the contact of the breeze on my wet skin.
“Somewhere I can taste more of that salt on your skin,” he says. Once we’ve left the water, he lays me down next to our piles of clothes. The sand clings to every possible surface of my skin.
“Kylo, why would you do that? I have sand literally everywhere now,” I lightheartedly complain.
“Oh well weren’t you the one who said let's take risks and have a little fun,” he mimics me in a high pitched voice and I laugh.
“Yeah but this isn’t what I had in mind.”
“Well it’s all we have, pretty girl. So just for tonight, let’s make a little mess,” he smirks. He hovers over me and kisses me softly. Something cold makes contact against my chest.
“Hm… Kylo what is that,” I ask. I open my eyes and he pulls back. I look forward and see a silver chain drape his neck with a small pendant hovering above the valley of my chest. How did I not notice that before?
“Oh, this? It’s something my mom gave me a long time ago. It belonged to my grandfather.”
“Oh, I like it. It kind of surprises me to see you wear it but I also think it really suits you,” I say and he bends down to kiss me. I hold my hands at the base of his neck. He holds himself up with one hand and uses the other to roam around my body.
“Your body… is so beautiful… it must have been… divinely created… by the stars… up above,” he whispers between kisses. His hand starts at my waist, squeezing the tender flesh. He slowly moves his hand down to my hip and then to my thigh. He caresses my upper leg and brings it upward to hook around his hips. I moan in the kiss in response.
His kisses travel from my mouth to my neck and along my collarbones. Just as he starts moving his hand upward of my ribcage and his kisses reach between my breasts, a loud crashing noise breaks us out of our hypnosis.
“What was that,” I ask and Kylo looks around. I crane my neck and see water rapidly moving toward us.
“Kylo, our clothes,” I cry out. He sees the rapidly moving water and rushes off me but the water’s too fast. It reaches our clothes, soaks them in saltwater, and recedes back.
“Fuck,” he cries out.
“The noise was probably that giant wave,” I observe. Kylo reaches for our clothes and wrings out the water. I move up and rest on my elbows to watch him. Kylo looks at me and my body on full display. Surprisingly I don’t feel shy about it.
“Are you liking the view,” he asks looking between me and the mess of clothes he’s working on.
“I could ask you the same thing,” I respond.
“Believe me, I’m loving every second of it,” he comments while tossing me my dress.
“The tide is rising. That’s why the water came up all this way,” he says. I hold the dress in front of me and start laughing.
“What’s amuses you so, little star,” he asks.
“Hah, we just can’t seem to catch a break, can we,” I ask. He shakes his head.
“Let’s go back, my love. You can bathe, change into some clean clothes, and get some rest. We have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow,” he suggests while putting on his wet clothes. I do the same and shudder at how dirty I feel.
“I’m cold,” I whine.
“There’s something I can think of that’ll warm you up,” he smirks.
“Oh yeah, and what is that,” I ask. He leans forward, barely an inch apart from my face and I close my eyes, awaiting his lips.
“Racing back to the lodging,” he whispers and then I hear footsteps pitter pattering in the sand. I open my eyes and see Kylo running away.
“Kylo! Get back here,” I scream and run after him.

Asalaam alaikum.. can you advise on how to deal with anxiety?
24. Go to Pharaoh; He has transgressed.” 25. He said, “My Lord, put my heart at peace for me. 26. And ease my task for me. 27. And untie the knot from my tongue. 28. So they can understand my speech. 29. And appoint an assistant for me, from my family. 30. Aaron, my brother. 31. Strengthen me with him. 32. And have him share in my mission. 33. That we may glorify You much. 34. And remember You much. 35. You are always watching over us.” 36. [Allāh] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses
43. Go to Pharaoh. He has tyrannized. 44. But speak to him nicely. Perhaps he will remember, or have some fear.” 45. They said, “Lord, we fear he may persecute us, or become violent.” 46. He said, “Do not fear, I am with you, I hear and I see.
Surat Ta Ha (20) - طه 🤍
Dear sister, I found myself starting with these two passages that are of my absolute favorite passages in the holy Quran in general and in Surat Ta Ha in particular because in my mind when I hear the word anxiety it always connects to surat Ta Ha or what I love to call my anti-anxiety pill. Alhamdulillah.
Now why these passages? It might not be known or talked about a lot, but these verses are a proof that prophet Musa (as) had anxiety. In these verses, Allah swt orders him to go speak to the pharaoh, arguably the most tyrannizing criminal that this earth has seen. This task spikes prophet Musa's anxiety and in the first passage he asks Allah swt to (relax his chest) put his heart at peace and ease his affairs, then he requests support from a family member, his brother Harun (as) - and it is also interpreted that prophet Musa (as) had speech impairment, he has problems in his speech? Thus the " untie the knot from my tongue " duaa he made for Allah swt, so he needed to be also backed up by his brother. Can you imagine the amount of anxiety he must have been feeling and going through? Not only the Lord of the Worlds was directly speaking to him ( a surreal supernatural experience ) but also He swt was giving him such a BIG task! I mean sis! I have a thesis I need to finish and it feels like there is a mountain sitting on my chest 24/7, even when I sleep at night I have nightmares about it. And whenever I have to make an important phone call or go into the principal's office at work, I get the whole rapid heartbeats, stomachache, joint pain, shaky voice and whatnot. You know the drill.. Anyways, back to Musa (as), so what does Allah swt say? He swt doesn't tell him that he (Musa) is crazy or delusional, He swt doesn't accuse him of lack of faith, or of being dominated by the Shaytan's waswasah (whispers) like these now Shaykhs throw at us. He swt is the all-knowing, the most just, the most fair, the most merciful and the most gracious. He swt not only acknowledges prophet Musa (as)'s fear and immediately reassures him and calms his heart : you have been granted your request! " Ya Allah.. this gets me every time wallahi.
You know what's the thing we need the most when our anxiety hits? Reassurance. Full stop. Reassurance silences all the voices inside our heads, calms us down, puts our hearts to ease. And what a better place to get reassurance from other than Allah swt?
And Allah swt does it again, further down in the Surah, when faces with the task again prophet Musa (as) voices his worries again, and Allah swt doesn't get fed up with him, doesn't accuse him of being a coward or annoying.. He swt patiently assures him that He swt is with him and with his brother, He swts hears and listens. I once heard a tafseer for this verse that compares it to a mother's love, when her child goes out to play and she will reassure them by saying she is around not far away she could see them from the window and hear them if they need anything. How comforting, sübhanallah.
With that being said and clarified, let me cut to the chase before the post gets too long.
The first step to dealing with your anxiety is to actually accept it. Never be ashamed of it. It is something that even a high-ranking prophet experienced. It is not a sin, it is not your fault, it is just the way your brain is wired. And it is something that Allah swt is testing you with. And the first step to pass your test is to actually acknowledge and accept it. For me, it felt like my whole life made sense the moment I was diagnosed with anxiety. When my therapist actually uttered the words, which wasn't a long time ago, I felt so sorry for all the girls that I have been, throughout the different stages of my life whom had to struggle and push through the pain, the dilemma, the countless anxiety attacks and made it through without actually knowing what they had, while being called crazy, gaslit, disregard, attacked, humiliated, mocked, bullied, etc.. for something that they didn't do nor did they understand. So my first advice to you is to befriend your anxiety, you win nothing by fighting it and making it your enemy. On the contrary, she (oh trust me it's a she, lmao) is a part of who you are, to the point that it could define some of your personality traits, she lives in your head rent free, she is not going anywhere anytime soon, so you better make peace with her. Rejecting, hating, attacking, blaming your anxiety will only make it worse.
Another basic advice is to actually study it, learn it, identify your triggers, be in tone with your body, pay attention to your mood changes, your heart rate, the stomach pain, or whatever symptoms you experience, and identify the act or event or task that generated and triggered those symptoms. That's how you find your triggers, and then next time when you anticipate that thing, you could go through it in your head, you could rehearse or make plans, you could take all your precautions and whatnot.
As for remedies, I am no therapist, so I am not allowed to prescribe anything, but I do take pills myself when necessary. God knows sometimes it gets too much. Breathing helps. Deep thorough breaths from the tummy, they can help calm your heartbeats.. if when you feel anxious about something you would have the time to read some Quran then please do it, it really calms you down and distracts you from the problem even momentarily. Umm, you can listen to your comfort audio (be it a quran recitation or something like I have already mentioned in the post earlier today), talk to someone who makes you comfortable, whether a parent, a partner, a sibling, a best friend... and finally, I will give you my therapist's golden tip: if it doesn't work, ASK FOR HELP.
And eventually, always go back to Allah swt, the source of all comfort, the source of all reassurance and the source of all good. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, 'I am to my slave as he thinks of Me, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him). So always try to think (after you are done freaking out 😅) that Allah swt has got you, and that probably all the bad things that you are scared of won't even come true. Allah swt is the most merciful and the most gracious, He swt is the best of planners and no one has out best interest more than the Pne who created us. Alhamdulillah.
Tbh, I could go on about this for days, but I think I have written the longest answer for an ask in the history of Tumblr. So imma stop here.
I will leave you with 3 very meaningful duaas that are supposed to be recited in the morning and evening adhkar, try to incorporate them in your daily routine, and you will soon notice the difference, bi idhn Allah :)
- بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شيء في الأرض و لا في السماء و هو السميع العليم ×3
In the name of Allah with whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens and He is The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing. x3
حسبي الله لا إله إلا هو عليه توكلت وهو رب العرش العظيم ×7
Allah is sufficient for me, none has the right to be worshipped except Him, upon Him I rely and He is Lord of the exalted throne. x7
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay, and preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth
P.s. you should know that I have written this answer for hours, taking as many breaks as my heart and my mind needed. I hope I managed to make a good enough answer for you 🤍.
May Allah swt calm your worries, and grant your heart sakinah and reassurance. Ameen.
Stay safe my dear, and don't hesitate to talk to me whenever it gets too much.

Allah calls Himself Ar-Ra’oof—The Kind, The Compassionate — on ten occasions in the Quran. He is the One who bestows mercy with the utmost tenderness. Ar-Ra’oof has beautiful pity on us, with which He gently warns us, withholds from us, and instructs us to all that is good!
The One Who is Most Kind, the Tenderly Merciful
Ra’oof comes from the root raa-hamza-faa, which points to three main meanings. The first main meaning is to be gentle, kind, and forgiving and the second is to be merciful and compassionate. The third main meaning is to show pity and tenderness.
This root appears 13 times in the Quran in two derived forms. Examples of these forms are rafatun (pity for them) and rafatan (compassion).
The term Ra’ûf means tender affection, the highest mercy and compassion, the upper limit of ar-Rahîm. The meaning is similar to ar-Rahîm, but focuses on the utmost tenderness, kindness and affection, which accompanies the outpouring of mercy and compassion.
Linguistically, ra’fa refers to the tenderness, kindness, and affection with which Allah ‘azza wa jall bestows mercy on us. Al-Ghazali mentioned that Ar-Ra’oof has pity, and that pity is the intensification of mercy. It has the same meaning as raheem though in a more intense form. Ar-Ra’oof is the One who bestows pity and mercy on us in many different forms, including warnings and withholding, for us to be guided to success in this world and the next!
Ar-Ra’oof Himself says:And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful [Quran, 2:143] And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allah. And Allah is kind to [His] servants [Quran, 2:207] Indeed, He was to them Kind and Merciful [Quran, 9:117]
The infinite kindness of Allah
Of the ten times, Allah’s Name Ar-Ra’oof is mentioned eight times with His name Ar-Raheem (The Bestower of Mercy) in the Quran. How can we understand the concept of ra’fa and the concept of rahma (mercy)? After a calamity hits us, Ar-Raheem has mercy on us. Ra’fa refers to Allah ‘azza wa jall taking care of us and warning us so that we can protect ourselves from His own punishment.
Ar-Ra’oof says: On the Day when every person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done, he will wish that there were a great distance between him and his evil. And Allah warns you against Himself (His punishment) and Allah is full of kindness to (His) slaves [Quran, 3:30] How merciful is this? Ar-Ra’oof warns us how to avoid His punishment out of pure kindness and affection, by sending us prophets and messengers for advice, sending us the Quran and guiding our hearts when we turn to Him.
An example was given about ra’fa and rahma; a parent warning their child to dress warm in winter so that they won’t suffer from the cold, is the concept of ra’fa. Whereas if the child gets ill and the parent’s heart that aches for the child and they do everything to find a medicine, that’s merciful (rahma).
How can you live by this name?
1. Reflect on the ra’fa of Allah.
Do you reflect on the mercy of Ar-Ra’oof in guiding you to be a Muslim each day? And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful [Quran, 2:143] What about all the times He warned you through certain signs in your life, like that “feeling” you should not go to a certain place? Reflection is ‘ibaadah.
2. Learn from the mercy of the prophet.
Ar-Ra’oof described the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam as ra’oofun raheem: There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful. [Quran, 9:128] Study the seerah to learn how the prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam dealt with His companions, family, and even his enemies!
3. Increase your heart in mercy.
Be kind to others and handle people’s feelings with tenderness. Sometimes you are so busy with your own life and your own family and friends that you forget about others. The connection you feel with the Muslim ummah is a mirror for your emaan. Read about the situation of your fellow brothers and sisters around the world and think of ways of how to support them. For example in every witr prayer, make sure you remember the ummah in your dua.
4. Be proactive.
Someone once said: All that time I was waiting for someone to do something about it. Then I realized that someone was me. Ar-Ra’oof has pity on us and He even warns us on how to avoid His punishment. If you see your brother or sister low in emaan or even going astray, feel concerned for them and advise them with kindness and care. Forbidding evil and enjoining good is a duty upon you; how seriously do you take it? You are the best community ever brought forth for mankind (in that) you command the proper and forbid the improper and believe in Allah. [Quran, 3:110] Be inspired by the ra’fa of Allah ‘azza wa jall to help warn and guide others as much as you can!
5. Open your heart to the Quran.
Allah ‘azza wa jall says: It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful. Ask Ar-Ra’oof to make your heart tender for His Reminder, the Quran!
6. Ask Ar-Ra’oof.
Ar-Ra’oof mentions a beautiful supplication in the Quran, using this name: And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful. [Quran, 59:10]
Memorize this beautiful dua’, call upon Allah ‘azza wa jall with it, and teach it to others!
O Allah, Ar-Ra’oof, we know that Your kindness encompasses us. Increase our hearts in mercy and aid us in forbidding evil and enjoining good in ways most pleasing to You. Make us reflect Your ra’fa, open our heart for the Quran and make us of those who follow Your warnings so we can avoid Your Punishment and enter Paradise safely, ameen!

This Worldly Life is Only Temporary Enjoyment.
(40:39)
If you lost a job or lost someone who was dear to your heart, just remember that they were meant to leave one day, and you know why? Because we are temporary ourselves. Nothing is promised to stay forever in this world, as it is promised by The One who has created us all and everything on this Earth, Allah the Almighty. If we want permanent residence, a place where there will nothing but happiness, peace, tranquility, worry free and tension free life, then we better be in Jannah (In Sha Allah we will.)
This world is nothing more than a quick passing, just like school trips and holiday break vacations that we may receive after long exhausting days of work. This life is the same distance when we got toilet and even passing quicker than the blink of an eye.
Allah did not create us to waste our time thinking things that are uncontrollable and thinking over something which is indeed temporary. Everything belongs to Allah because He is the Ever Lasting and Supreme, so He is The One who is Only Permanent. We should instead spend our time worshipping Allah.
Truly, we waste our precious time over the job we have lost or the exams we have failed, and stress to the point that we become depressed and damage the body that does not belong to us, but Allah. Everything you see around you is promisingly temporary: trees, roads, cars, houses, and yes, even your mother, father, sister and brother. If you look yourself in the mirror, you will see yourself, and you are also temporary.
Many highly successful businessmen emphasise in their lectures and seminars that we humans are in control of our future, which although to some extent could be true because we are actions are according to intentions and what we do, but it is not entirely true because if we are temporary, then we certainly can’t control everything. We have to try our best to be patient when calamity strikes and remember the following:
“Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return” َ(2;156)
Next time when you have problems or you are going through a rough patch, remember that if you are permanent, then how can your problems be?
May Allah ﷻ guide us to the right path and keep us closer to Him through every good we do. Ameen.
📌Feel free to repost, share or forward any of my post, If anybody share this and somebody act on this, In sha Allah it will be an ongoing charity.

We all love the Dunya.
We all love the worldly life and all the glamour it contains, from its cars, to its houses, to its wealth and all the luxuries it has to offer. We desire its riches, its comforts and the sparks of happiness it brings. We love it. It’s a fact none of us can deny.
Yet the sad part about it is, as much as we love this world, it will never love us back and only ever run away from us. The truth is, this world will only ever tempt you, tease you and eventually break your heart.
You see, no matter how much of the world’s treasures you acquire it will never satisfy your desires. It will never make you content and you will almost always wish for more.
For almost every time the world offers you something of value, it will quickly divert your attention to the next best thing. It will make you long for the next bigger house, the next faster car, the next phone, the next pay rise or job promotion. It absorbs you into a rat race that will never end.
If you want happiness, if you want joy, if you want true fulfilment. I make oath by Allah that there is no other way to find it except through Him, Allah. The creator of the Heavens and the Earth.
You see, Allah is the one who created love and happiness and has made it only possible through Him.
When he says explicitly in the Quran “Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest”.(Quran 13:28)
And every other place you seek happiness in that is in absence of Allah, will only leave you empty and miserable.
As Allah has said “And those who turns from my remembrance will have a miserable life”.(Quran 20:124)
May Allah make us from those who turn to Him. May Allah make us among the righteous ones. Ameen.

Slms, I need to make a huge decision- it’s a major life decision that would drastically change the path of my life. I have 2 choices and am not sure what to do. I have read isthikara consecutively for the past 2 nights, and I’ve also done my research like talking to people, researching the options, etc to inform me so I can decide. But I’m still really confused. Should I just continue praying isthikara? Everyday? Until I feel like I know what to do?
Walaikum Assalaam
Read this quote
"Many people misunderstand the concept of the prayer of istikhara. Istikhara is from the word ‘khayr’ and literally means ‘seeking good from Allah’. It is, in essence, a supplication (du’a) asking Allah Most High to bless one’s decision and guide one towards that which is best (khayr) for one – in this life and the next. It is not necessary to see a dream or even a get a ‘feeling.’
As such, when there is an important matter in one’s life (which is not limited to marriage!), one should first employ all the ‘external’ means such as research and taking advice from family, friends and those of wisdom. In fact, according to many Imams, ‘istishara’ (seeking sound counsel) is a sunna before istikhara. When everything seems positive, one should finally make istikhara – meaning saying to Allah that “I have done whatever was in my capacity, and I am about to go ahead with this decision, so I ask you to grant me good and blessings in this venture; and if it is not suitable for me, prevent me from going ahead with it”.
After the istikhara prayer, one simply goes ahead with the task at hand, and – if done properly with sincerity – Allah will make events unfold in the direction that is the best for one’s worldly and next-worldly affairs. It is not a case of now waiting to see a dream or some form of indication whether to go ahead or not. If the task at hand is not good for one’s dunya and/or akhira, Allah Most High will prevent one from going ahead with it, In sha Allah.
The primary reason and aim of performing the istikhara is to act upon the Sunna of the beloved of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace). In fact, some early scholars had a habit of performing istikhara daily – seeking good from Allah in all their day-to-day affairs. They would perform istikhara, for example, before departing for work; hence they wouldn’t then go back to sleep in order to see a dream whether they should go for work!
Finally, it is best to do the istikhara yourself, but one can have someone else do it for you as well. It is similar to asking another person to make du’a for you. And Allah knows best.
-Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari
"You probably think you can drive. So did I. We all do. So we foolishly try to take the steering wheel of our lives. And then as a result, we crash over and over. Because the truth is none of us know how to drive…
My people, so many of us misunderstand istikhara. It’s not about seeing a sign or a dream or even necessarily having a feeling about something. Although, any of these may occur. Istikhara is about letting go of the steering wheel. It’s about admitting to yourself and God that you don’t know the Unseen, and that you are not able to make things happen in the best way. It is the acknowledgement that God *does* know the Unseen, and God *is* able to make everything happen, in the best way. Istikhara is getting out of the driver’s seat and asking God to take over the steering wheel of your life, and the decisions you’re making.
It is asking Allah to steer and do what’s best for you, in this life and the next.
Istikhara is a protection. There are so many times when we are set on a course that is destructive. Istikhara doesn’t allow that course to occur. And after istikhara, any course that *does* occur is for our best–even if it bring about pain.
Many people get confused. They wonder why a marriage failed or a job fell apart if they prayed istikhara. But Istikhara doesn’t promise a painless path. It promises *what’s best in the end*. Sometimes that ‘road to what’s best’ is windy. Sometimes it’s covered with thorns.
But always, always, in the end, the destination is where you’re meant to be. Where you’re meant to fulfill your highest destiny and purpose.
Be careful not to rely on yourself as you navigate through life and make decisions. Be very careful to always, always rely on God. Because every single one of us is blind.
And we *don’t* know how to drive."
-Yasmin Mogahed
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala grant you good in this world and the hereafter.
Allahumma Ameen

Salam aleykoum, I hope you’re well, may Allah ease all your pain and bring goodness into your life and heart, may He lift from you your struggles. Sadly I’m not from the netherlands (I’m north african like you tho), I would’ve loved to be your friend as you seem so so kind, may Allah bless you. I don’t have any hijabi friends (or close friends in general) and it’s very difficult for me to open up about this to someone, I keep thinking about the consequences esp in my family bc my mother opposes it. But I know I don’t have so much time left to just waste it like this, I need to get myself together and try my best to wear it even if I don’t like it on myself. Just wanted to let you know I’m very grateful for your help, you gave me a much better perspective on hijab, it’s beautiful how Allah used you to make this matter clearer for me, may He bless you and protect you wherever you are, may He make obedience to Him always beloved in your heart and more preferable than obedience to the Nafs. Alhamdulillah I praise Allah for making you so kind natured and generous with your advice, thank you very much, I hope the next message I send you I’ll be wearing Hijab. 💔 In shaa Allah. I’ll keep you updated (only if you want ofc), I hope you’re soothed from your pain soon and find comfort in knowing that you’re on the right path and that struggle and pain both in your mental and physical health serves as an expiation of your sins, Allah is always merciful and may He bless you with righteous friends who take care of you and always let you know you’re important to them. Wassalam my dear sister 💜
Wa aleikoum assalaam. ❤️ First of all I’m so sorry for responding so late. I’ve been so busy and wanted to take time for this, not do it randomly in the train or something.
Allahouma ameen to all your dua’s. You made me tear up when I read this! You’re such a sweetheart! 🥺
We can be online friends haha <3 Remember you can always text me. Maybe if possible, go to your local mosque, or a random one a bit far from your town so you don’t see people you ‘know’ haha. (> I do that). You will most probably meet a Muslima there and you can just ask her about it! But if it works for you, online is also a good option! You got me as well!
If you feel like there might be consequences from home, then I think it’s important to know why we need to, and why you want to do it. If (but you never know, who knows if your mom might just be like ‘ok if you want to then just do it’) your mom starts a discussion to something, then you’ll know what to say. It might help to just show her that it wasn’t just a ‘random/quick’ thing you did, but you really stand behind your choice.
I genuinely think you should definitely try out different hijab-styles and hijabs (as in stretchy fabric, looser hijab, etc. etc.). Always try to work on loving yourself more, not only with hijab! But to make this easier for yourself, also do it specifically with your hijab. Loving yourself is a life-journey tho… not gonna lie I’m not even close, but knowing you’re working on it, is at least a good thing! And maybe your clothing style will help with it also. Don’t forget why you’re doing it! Try to keep remembering that over time, you will get used to the change. And Allah swt is with you, and he will make it easier for you. And maybe it might help for you to tell yourself you will just need a little sabr! Who knoooows it will all of a sudden be actually very easy and you will actually love the way you look with it.
Us talking about this was mektab. I’m so glad you sent me a message and really hope that somehow, I made the idea of it less scary or easier for you also. Honestly, it’s not even that big of a deal! Maybe it helps to see it as just a piece of cloth wrapped around your head. Just like you said, this was obviously mektab and I hope in some way, I have helped you in sha Allah.
I would love It if you keep me updated! And of course, not only if you’re already wearing it, but also when you just want to talk about it again. Honestly I am excited for you. It’s a whole experience, and to the core of it, a really beautiful one that make a lot of women feel way way closer to God, so I really think you will feel better in it, even tho you might struggle with it a bit in the beginning. But khair in sha Allah!
May Allah make this journey easier for you and lift you from your struggles. ❤️❤️❤️

Ramadan is soon to arrive and with the increase of ibaadat (worship), prayer is on the top of the list.
So because we will all make an effort to increase our voluntary prayers, the task may be daunting or overwhelming to some.
However, when we are able to really taste the sweetness of the prayer, our love and excitement to stand before Allah many times a day will never dwindle or feel routine.
Here are 12 tips to Boost the concentration and tranquility in our prayers.
1. 🔸 Say Allahu akbar and throw the world behind you.
Did you ever think: why do we start our prayer with Allahu akbar not with subhanAllah? Realize that when you say Allahu akbar you affirm that the one before whom you are about to stand is greater than anything occupying you at that moment— greater than your sleep, your families, your bills, and your worries. Just imagine that when you say Allahu akbar while raising your hands you are throwing all of that behind you!
2. 🔸 Visualize the veil.
When you stand to pray, Allah ‘azza wa jall commands: Raise the veils from between Me and my servant! As soon as you say Allahu akbar and start your prayer, Allah sets His beautiful face to yours and doesn’t turn away from you, unless you do. When your thoughts or your sight drifts off, He orders the veils to be drawn back down. Visualize these veils being lifted to keep concentrated with your heart and body. Are you still drifting? This is why you repeat the great words Allahu akbar as you move into each position; it’s a reminder and a new chance again and again to focus!
3. 🔸 Salute the King.
Imagine walking into a palace, how would you recognize the servants of the king? Probably by their humble position: looking down. As you lower your gaze to the place of your prostration and place your hands right over left and close to your chest it is time to salute the King. Imagine standing in front of Allah ‘azza wa jall as you utter this beautiful saluation and feel each word: Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdika, wa tabaarakasmuka wa ta’alaa jadduka— How perfect You are O Allah, and I praise You. Blessed be Your name, and lofty is Your position and none has the right to be worshipped except You.
Realize that only the parts of salah you are mindful of are being accepted and that Shaytan does his very best to steal every sweet moment you have with Allah!
4. 🔸 Feel each ayah of Surah Al-Fatiha is answered.
You are now ready to enter the essence of it all: Surah Al-Fatiha, the greatest surah of the Quran, without which your prayer is nullified. Know that Allah Himself answers back when you recite of Surah Al-Fatiha, so add a short pause after each ayah, feeling this amazing dialogue. How can you ever drift of in this part of the prayer?
5. 🔸 Utter His name with pure love.
What has brought you to stand here right now? It is your love and longing to be with Allah ‘azza wa jall. And when you meet up with your beloved, what do you first say? The sweet sound of the beloved’s name, the name that blesses everything it falls upon! Feel the bismillaahir-rahmaanir-raheem soothing your heart as it gently rolls off your lips.
6. 🔸 Stand still at: “the Lord of the worlds.”
The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam told us, “Alhamdulillah fills the scale!” [Muslim] Really feel gratefulness when you say alhamdulillah. Did you see those documentaries where they zoom out from the cells of a plant’s leaf all the way to the planets and galaxies? Now instead of that leaf, start the zoom out process with the image of yourself standing before Allah. Then zoom back down, back through the universe, to the place you are standing in prayer. The next time you pray view yourself from above and far away and truly taste the meaning of Rabbil aalemeen (Lord of the worlds)!
7. 🔸 Reflect on Ar-Rahmaanir Raheem before Maaliki yawmid-Deen.
Have you ever wondered why Allah’s names Ar-Rahmaanir and Ar-Raheem come before Maaliki yawmid-Deen (Master of the Day of Judgement)? Be reminded that it is the Most Gracious and Merciful who will judge us on the the Day of Judgement! So feel empowered and comforted when you say Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem and then pause a moment at Maaliki yawmid-Deen, realizing the horrors of that Day.
8. 🔸 Know what iyyaaka na’budu wa iyyaaka nasta’een really means.
You alone we worship, and unto You alone we turn for help. Let this remind you to make Allah alone your focus, not the people. So when you are asked, why did you do this or that (deed), you can firmly answer: for Allah! Feel this ayah by knowing that the salaf used to weep for hours reciting it. One of them was once praying in Mecca. His friend went ahead and did the tawaf and when he returned to him, he was still at this verse, repeating it and crying, until the sun came up.
9. 🔸 Say ameen as if your life depended on it.
The most comprehensive supplication you can make is: ihdinas-siraatal-mustaqeem (Guide us to the straight path). See how you followed the proper etiquettes of how to ask Allah? You started glorifying and praising Him and then you make your request: Guide us. Now realize that your entire existence depends on this supplication. The ameen you’ll pronounce now will have to come from the bottom of your heart. Ameen means: My Lord, grant or answer (my prayers). Say ameen as if you have been sentenced to death and are pleading for pardon, begging with passion.
10. 🔸 Feel the bond with your Lord.
When you say subhana Rabbiyya- al-‘atheem (How perfect My Lord is, The Supreme) in ruku’, focus on the pronoun that means my (in Rabbi). It adds that element of bonding: He is My Lord, who raised me in His care and who is nurturing me. Know the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and the Companions used to be in the bowing position as long as he would be in the standing segment of salah. One companion said that he recited Al Fatiha, then Al Baqara, Ali Imran, An-Nisaa’ and Al Ma’ida, and the companion Abdullah Ibn Al Zubair was beside him, still in his ruku’!
11. 🔸 Win the grand finale: your sujood.
Your sujood is the ultimate symbol of complete submission to your Creator. The Prophet said: The closest that a servant is to his Lord is when he is in prostration. [Muslim] And: Prostrate much because there is no Muslim that prostrates to Allah except that Allah raises him one degree in Paradise by it and forgives for him a sin. [Ahmad] Imagine you are being raised one degree in Paradise with each sujood and a sin falls off you with each prostration. Prostrate with body, heart, and soul and taste the sweetest feeling in the world!
12. 🔸 Supplicate before the tasleem.
After the words of the tashahhud (sitting position at the end of prayer) and before the tasleem (saying salaam to indicate the end of prayer), there is a precious moment many waste! When the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam taught Abdallah ibn Mas’ood radiyallahu ‘anhu the tashahhud he said: … Then let him choose whatever supplications he wishes. [Al-Bukhaari, Muslim]. Just before you say tasleem, make at least three heartfelt dua’s to benefit from this treasure chest instead of rushing to say the salaam!
*This is a summary of the "How to taste the true beauty of salah" series by Mishari Al Kharraz:❤️❤️❤️❤️

[Al Quran: Ale-Imran, 61]
Then whoever disputes with you about it, after the knowledge which has come to you, so say : Come! We will call our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then we will supplicate earnestly (together) and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars.
A delegation of Christians from Najran came to Rasool Allah (sawaw) whose chiefs were Aqib, Syed, and Ahtam.
They performed their worship in Masjid-e-Nabwi with the permission of Rasool Allah (sawaw). Then Rasool Allah (sawaw) invited them to accept Tauheed, his Risalat, and Esa (as) being the servant of Allah.
And told them the saying of Allah, “The example of Eesa is like Adam near Allah, created him with earth, then said “Be” and he was.” But they did not believe, so Rasool Allah (sawaw) invited for #Mubahila that if we are truthful then Allah(swt) will send Curse on you. They promised for the next day. Rasool Allah (sawaw) came out with such a splendor that Ali asws was in place of himself (Nafs), and Hassan (asws) & Hussain (asws) in place of sons, and Syyeda Fatima Zahra (saws) in place of ladies, only took Ahlul Bait (asws) in spite of presence of all the people, whose flesh, blood, and soul (Nafs) is same.
Rasool Allah (sawaw) took hands of Hassan (asws) & Hussain (asws), Syyeda Fatima Zahra (saws) behind him,
and Imam Ali(asws) was walking behind Syyeda(asws). Rasool Allah (sawaw) ordered to stretch (tie) his Qatwani Chadar between two trees, and Masumeen (asws) sat under it.
Rasool Allah (sawaw) said to Masumeen (asws): I will supplicate and you all will say “Ameen.” Rasool Allah (sawaw) was supporting on his bow, and raised his right hand for Dua, so the Christian chiefs became pale.
Their priest said: O Christians, I am seeing those faces that if they ask Allah, the mountain will move from its place, do not do Mubahila with them, you will perish, and no Christian will be left on the earth until Qiyamah. So they accepted to pay tax, and promised to give every year one thousand swords, one thousand armour, one thousand leather shields, and one thousand Dinars.
[Tafseer Al- Burhan, vol 2, page 43]
Eid e Mubahila Mubarak🌹
May Allah(swt) curse the liars.
May Allah(swt) curse the oppressors of Ahle kisa

Alhamdulellah..never been happier ..too much cry.. Allah's words are just so beautiful 😧😧..yes..on my journey to memorize the Quraan i get more understanding...like in surat aal imran..the verse when Hanna the mother of Mary prayed for a son .. (when she gave birth to her she said o my lord i have given birth to a female child,..and Allah knew better what she bore...And the male is not like the female) ..as you can see from the verse that hanna wanted a male child mo.. she specifically prayed for a son..cause that time man in charge at everything ..but Allah gave her a female child.. Allah can easily give her a male child right?..but he didn't why?.. to show her and everybody..all of us ..that woman is as important as men..
Yes, Alhamdulellah..this week i started surat Al-israa.. alhamdulellah easy ..inshAllah on Thursday or Friday ..i will finish it..only 6 papers. ..after that surat Al-Kahf which ive already memorized it...next week officially I'll be hafiz 15 juzu inshAllah..then i will start the 16th juzu inshallah next week.. the challenge is this ..i already set a schedule ..to memorize sura every week before Ramadan came .. Ramadan only remains 12 weeks..which is ..to memorize 12 new surah inshAllah  ..so that will be from surah maryam "mary" to surah the Rome..5 juzu...if I can do it inshallah I'll be hafiz 20 juzu inshAllah on Ramadan.
My plan is.. every week one new sura
Sun : 2 papers with a revision
Mon: 2 papers with a revision
Tue :  rest of papers..revision all sura
Wed: revision from surah al baqarah to al nisaa
Thurs: revision from al maidah to al tooba
Friday: revision from al anfal to surah ibrahim
Sat : revision from al hijr to the last surah i memorized week..and so on..
Ramadan will be a break..just revision all the previous suras i memorized. .after Ramadan will continue my journey inshAllah..
we all going to die and meet Allah..and there is nothing more beautiful than to meet Allah his book his words memorize in the heart...don't forget to pray for me sister💚

The last post...I want to try and keep it short and sweet but that’s not going to happen lol...
Before I completely leave I want to highlight a few matters which I hope benefits me firstly and everyone else who reads it:
- Pleasing Allah
- Obedient to parents / Family comes first
- Ambassadors of Islam/ The Gift
- During tough situations
It can be very easy to fall into the trap of wanting the fame, recognition or status of this life. If one does, it may result into placing your happiness into temporary/ materialistic things- which once it goes away, so does the love that you had attracted to it. Or the feeling is extremely short-lived and you become unsatisfied looking for other pleasures.
As a result, concentrate on pleasing Allah who is the Ever-living, where you will find happiness and tranquility in your heart. You might not be known in this life however the angels in the 7 heavens will be praising your name.
Family. There’s so much to say with this topic however putting it into second place, as after pleasing Allah, what comes next is being obedient to our parents. It’s very sad on how we see people speak/ act toward their parents where we’re told not to even utter “uff”...as we grow we think we know everything and start to belittle what they say - by all means parents can be wrong so don’t be afraid to correct them, however with noble and respectful speech. Don’t take your parents for granted, imagine not being able to hear your parents calling your name again...our parents have sacrificed so much for us, so why can’t we be merciful towards them, especially when they become old. Eventually we become independent, but that’s when they will need us most, don’t just shrug them away from your life, keep them part of it.
Take a moment, have you ever asked yourself why? SubhanAllah we should be so grateful Alhamdullilah...and to repay this we should be on our best behaviour and try to re-paint the image that is currently portrayed in the media about Islam. Now I’m not saying go out on the streets and start giving Dawah...start with yourself and those close with you. Eventually, let your actions do the talking, if that be in your workplace, neighbours, uni or whatever it may be.
Furthermore, don’t be afraid to dream big, I mentioned earlier about staying away from the fame etc, don’t let that stop you from having lofty aspirations. As long as you try to align your work with pleasing Allah, InshaAllah you will be fine. If you can’t do that then start a project, make sure you consult with your elders/ shayks who can guide you to achieve your goals. Don’t spend the majority of your life just working/ attaining pleasures. Make sure you have at least project that’s helping the ummah that are in need.
This life is not meant to be full of joy and eternal happiness, that’s only in Jannah so strive for it, however the life we live in now will have its lows...it’s a test from Allah, and Allah loves those who he tests. Remember Allah will not burden you with something that you cannot handle. When a time like that dose occur say Alhamdullilah, as your test in comparison to someone else could be 10x worst. In addition, these situations will only make you mentality stronger and more aware of life, so be grateful to Allah.
There is so much more that I could say about friends, private/public deeds, mannerisms but I’ll leave it to that InshaAllh...If you have read till this far, then please keep me and my family in your dua’s...
I pray that you and your loved one are reunited in Jannah-firdaous...Allahuma Ameen.

Allah calls Himself Ash-Shaheed— The All-and-Ever Witnessing— on 18 occasions in the Quran. Ash-Shaheed is the witness whose sight no one can escape. He is the One with full knowledge of all matters, witnessing the apparent and hidden, anywhere, any time.  Ash-Shaheed is the witness and observer of all creation, thoughts, and actions, and the ultimate witness on the Day of Judgment!

The Witness, the Testifier, the Certifier

Shaheed comes from the root sheen-haa-daal, which points to three main meanings. The first meaning is “to bear witness.” The second meaning is to offer testimony, and the third is to have knowledge of something.
This root appears 160 times in the Quran in nine derived forms. Examples of these forms include yashhadu (“to testify”), ashhidoo (“to take witness”), shahaadati (“the seen”) and shuhadaa (“witnesses, martyrs”).
Shaheed refers to Allah’s awareness of everything; He hears every sound, loud and quiet, and sees the small and the large. In addition, He is the One who will testify for or against His servants for their deeds.
Ash-Shaheed Himself says:
Say: What thing is the greatest witness? Say: Allah is shaheed between you and I; this Qur’an has been revealed to me that I may warn therewith – you and whomsoever it may reach. [Quran, 6:19]
Allah is Witness over all things. [Quran, 58: 6]  Allah is sufficient as Witness. [Quran, 4: 79]
Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no god save Him. And the angels and the people of knowledge (too are witnesses). [Quran, 3:18]
A Scene of the Souls
When Allah created Adam, He wiped Adam’s back and every person that He will create from him until the Day of Resurrection fell out from his back. [At-Tirmidhi and Al-Haakim] Allah stated that He brought the descendants of Adam out of their fathers’ loins, and they testified against themselves that Allah is their Lord and King and that there is no deity worthy of worship except Him. Allah then said,(and made them testify as to themselves (saying): “Am I not your Lord” They said: “Yes!”) [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
This was your first testimony and it means we will have no excuse on the Day of Judgement!
It will be said to a man from the people of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, “If you owned all that is on the earth, would you pay it as ransom’ He will reply, `Yes.’ Allah will say, `I ordered you with what is less than that, when you were still in Adam’s loins, that is, associate none with Me (in worship). You insisted that you associate with Me (in worship).” [Tafseer ibn Katheer]
How Can You Live By This Name?
1. Say the sahahda, live the shahada. The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Man shahida an la ilaha illallah dakhala al-jannah – Whoever witnesses that there is no god but Allah alone enters Paradise.[Saheeh Muslim]. Your testimony of faith in Allah is something you not only utter, but must live by. When you say I bear witness there is no god but Allah it means that in your talk and actions, in your house or outside you show that you love Allah more than anyone else, you accept Him as your Creator, Master and Ruler of the universe, that you worship Him alone in all matters and not your desires or others’ directions. Next time when you say the shahada in your prayer, reflect upon the meaning. Increase in saying la ilaha illallah to renew your emaan!
2. Trust in Ash-Shaheed. Ash-Shaheed says in this beautiful soothing ayah: So wait patiently for your Lord’s decree, for surely you are in Our sight. [Quran, 52: 48]  Rest assured that any unjust treatment by the hands of others you go through, slander, gossip or abuse, Ash-Shaheed is your Witness and you will get justice.
3. Remember that you are a servant. It’s sometimes easy to shout at your family or children inside the house, or even oppress someone when you are in a position of authority over them. Remind yourself in each situation, wherever you are, whoever you talk to, whatever position you have, that you are a servant of Allah. Ash-Shaheed is witnessing every step you take and will you to account. Use this tip: when you are about to do something wrong, look up at the sky and imagine Ash-Shaheed watching you!
4. Don’t make your limbs testify against you. Use your tongue for speech beloved by Ash-Shaheed, your eyes to read the Quran, your limbs to pray to Him as they will all testify as what you used them for! The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: I was amazed at how a servant will dispute with his Lord on the Day of Resurrection. He will say, “My Lord, did You not promise me that you would not treat me unjustly” Allah will say, “Yes.” The man will say, “I will not accept any witness against me except from myself.” Allah will say, “Is it not sufficient that I and the angels, the noble scribes, are witnesses” These words will be repeated several times, then a seal will be placed over his mouth and his organs (or limbs) will speak about what he used to do. Then he will say, “Away with you! It was only for your sake that I was arguing!”)” [Muslim and An-Nasa’i]
5. Always stand up for the truth. Always stand up for the truth in your testimonies, even if it is against yourself! Sometimes it is hard to admit a mistake, or testifying for the truth might even endanger you, but know this characteristic is one of true honour of a believer, which earns you not just a place in Paradise, but a place of honour!  And those who are in their testimonies upright and those who [carefully] maintain their prayer: they will be in gardens, honoured. [Quran, 70:33-35]
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.
O Allah, Ash-Shaheed, we know that You witness all things. Guide us to live by the shahada and make us utter the testimony of faith on our deathbed. Help us remember that You are witnessing us, and make this awareness an inspiration for us to increase our good deeds. Make us always stand up for the truth and join us with the prophets and shuhadaa in the highest Paradise, ameen!
