i’ve always thought that spencer has a mean side. and i don’t mean that as in classic degradation but as you said condescension. i think in the dybmn universe he’s been holding himself in check a lot, much more than we realize, because he doesn’t wanna overwhelm the reader or accidentally make her feel bad about herself because he knows she’s still fragile at this point. but it definitely sneaks into the way he speaks to her sometimes, like as you said in part one, and it’s definitely pretty clear in his thoughts in part three. and it’s like this weird dissonant motivation where on the one hand he wants her to know it’s okay to not think so fucking hard all the time and to just let him take care of her and on the other he genuinely wants to cultivate her ability to stand up for herself during sex and tell him what she wants. like when he says he wants her words he really wants her words, he wants to make sure she’s engaged and present and she doesn’t have to be eloquent but he does expect a response of some sort.

I have..absolutely no writing background and my writing process is very instinctual rather than organized. I type with my eyes closed so I can visualize scenes like a movie and I follow a beat sheet consisting of “fuck it we ball”

it’s dope that you have a novel writing background, little me would think you’re like the Viola Davis of literature if she heard that. (23 year old me thinks you’re cool too dw HEHEH)

And good question! I think having a novel background does help since I've gotten used to writing a lot. I really respect IF authors who jump into IF with no writing experience because no only do you also have to code and write multiple books (routes) in one, you're also sharing that work to the public almost immediately.

It took me having to post fanfic + indie publishing to grow a thick skin and an understanding against hate and criticism, so people who choose this as their first foray into writing have my immense respect lmao it's not easy!

Mainly how you’re able to write so much but also how you’re able to do so in a linear fashion.

I've said before that I'm able to write a lot because I plan everything before hand. I'm not capable of pantsing and I'm a plotter through and through. When I know the beats to a scene and have a goal, I can just focus on reaching that goal instead of trying to come up with a purpose.

For example, I'm currently working on a novel as well as Infamous, and I just spent like....eight hours today just working on the outline (again). I think I have about 15 different variations of the outline, but I can't write if I don't know what's coming up next. I think I spend more time working on the outline than the book. (For example: One book I spent one year working on the outline and then wrote the book in 3 months lmao).

Anyway, almost every conversation in a book has a purpose, even if it's not obvious. Sometimes it's to express motivation, further the plot, create conflict. Sometimes it's to add depth to characters which usually results in conversations that seemingly have no purpose (like the band talking about whether orion would be a good band member or not) but they do! (its to establish the dynamic and level of closeness + personalities). When I know what I want to tell in a scene and what I want to express, I don't meander as much. So I plan plan plan plan.

But really, if you work best off instinct, I encourage you to go that way. There's no right way, and you don't want to force yourself. Sometimes people write their best when they're figuring it out along the way. I'm not capable of that hahahahah

As for linear, I can NOT jump around as much as I wish. I need CONTEXT like...I love referring back to old conversations and using the older conversations as context to newer ones people who can jump around and write non-linearly are superhuman.

Typing with your eyes closed seems so cool. I do have a cinematic approach to writing as well, but I also only type with three fingers lmao (I never learned how to use all your fingers for typing) so I need to see plshfhsdfhdsj

I think I have an idea 😄 so here we go with La'an/Spock:

Gives nose/forehead kisses: Spock, due to the height difference. La’an likes to nibble at his neck when she can reach it.

Gets jealous the most: Both, but they show it in different ways. Spock’s more subtle and petty, hiding his jealousy behind false logic, while La’an is more straight forward and makes it very clear when someone is making the wrong moves on her Spock.

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to drive: Spock, since he can’t really get drunk but he doesn’t mind since drunk La’an can be quite adorable - which he would never tell her to her face.

Takes care of on sick days: Both like to pretend they’re fine until one has to drag the other to sickbay. They will make sure the other is treated well and won’t take no for an answer.

Drags the other person out into the water on beach day: La’an. She can be very persuasive when she wants to, making her able to out-logic and sweettalk Spock into almost anything.

Gives unprompted massages: Spock, since touch is so important and intimate to Vulcans. He’s very attentive to La’an physical needs.

Drives/rides shotgun: They take turns depending on the occasion / mission requirements and they’re both pretty good pilots, Ortegas would be proud.

Brings the other lunch at work: Spock. He’s a gentleman and it’s important to him that La’an’s happy and healthy.

Has the better parental relationship: La’an did have a great relationship to her parents which is why she grieves their death so hard. She doesn’t really care about Sarek and doesn’s shy away from giving him a piece of her mind, but Amanda adores her since she thinks La’an and Spock are a strangely perfect fit.

Tries to start role-playing in bed: Neither. They love to tease each other but don’t need role-play to have fun.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer: Spock. He barely gets intoxicated but when he does, oh dear, he’s the most embarrassing dancer... and he may be smashing one or two Klingon operas too.

Still cries watching Titanic: Neither, but they’d argue over the logic and logistics of the ending, both coming to the conclusion that the door would have carried both Rose and Jack.

Firmly believes in couples costumes: Neither. Spock really doesn’t understand the logic of couples costumes and La’an would rather die than wearing a stupid costume - she likes to wear Spock’s shirts though.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas: Neither. Spock knows the real value of gifts is their meaning and not the price tag. La’an hates shopping so she gifts Spock in other ways 😁

Makes the other eat breakfast: Spock. He even tends to cook for La’an, again because her happiness and health are very important to him. A happy La’an means a happy Spock!

Remembers anniversaries: Both, but Spock remembers the date down to the second like a walking day planner which La’an finds endearing and annoying at the same time.

Brings up having kids: Could be either of them. For both it’s important to be on the same page and honest with each other once their relationship gets serious, but neither are in a rush to start a family with their mutual devotion to Starfleet being a priority.

He can’t talk about stuff that hasn’t been announced yet. Especially Marvel stuff. I still think he’s going to be in Captain America 4. We haven’t even met the White Wolf yet.

Anon #2: I'm pretty sure the WS will be in the Thunderbolts. Just because he was all heroic at the end of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier doesn't mean he truly feels like a hero. Plus it's now Captain America and the Winter Soldier... he never changed. Maybe he has an identity crisis and becomes an Anti-Hero? It would be a better arc then the half assed one they gave him in the series and could lead him to take on his White Wolf persona at the end of it all. It also explains why he's so quiet on the Bucky front, he always gets tight lipped when he knows something, he plays off like he's oblivious then we find out he's known stuff for months. For an actor, Seb can't lie for shit. I'm here for it, i hope it happens 😁

Anon #3: Bucky is back to being the Winter Soldier and working with other vilains?? What happened to his whole redemption arc in FATWS and him saying he is no longer the WS? // The Thunderbolts started as villains who pretended to be heroes but over time morphed into a team of antiheroes—people working for the govt in gray areas that “regular” heroes wouldn’t. They were started by Thunderbolt Ross (played by William Hurt in the MCU) but he’s no longer with us, plus they seem to have set up Val (Julia Louise Dreyfuss) to play that role anyway. She’s already recruited John Walker and Yelena. I can see Zemo in the Thunderbolts as well (and he led them for a time in the comics). I can’t see Bucky wanting to work for the govt, much less be on the same team as Walker and Zemo (!) but oh man, it would be sooooo entertaining. Imagine the banter!!! 😂

His redemption arc could very well continue in Thunderbolts. They're more like reformed villains than straight up villains, so I can totally see Bucky leading them as a guide towards redemption. Also, Kari Skogland said there was more to come in terms of the Winter Soldier name when asked why it didn't change by the end of TFATWS. Perhaps he will reclaim the Winter Soldier title by turning it into something good.

Anon #5: "I still think from the way Seb talks, like that last one with Aniston, Bucky’s days are over. Notice that he doesn’t seem to have more interest than he used to" Anon, he's not going to act all excited. Like Neve Campbell, Seb knows his worth now, and he's not going to turn down, for example, shooting a rom-com with JA or MR next summer so he can have another half-assed role as plot-point Bucky. If they give him an actual star turn as Bucky, pretty sure he'd be happy to do it.

Anon #6: Bucky doesn't make sense in the Thunderbolts because he's no longer a villain. He's a hero, it makes no sense. I don't think he's going to be in it. // there is a storyline where all the villains actually reform and do good deeds. Maybe they're gonna write the script based on that? In an article from Deadline apparently several actors already in the MCU have been contacted about the movie to keep their schedules clear for next summer.

Anon #7: And if he does know something by now (which I suppose he does), he won't give anything away until Marvel makes their official announcements. // Yep. Also, the Deadline article says that Marvel is already talking to some of the MCU actors to make sure they'll be free to shoot Thunderbolts next summer, so if Bucky is in it they certainly have already reached out to Seb, considering he must be getting a lot of offers right now because of all the attention he's been getting.

HELP IM ALSO DROWNING IN FNAF

ANYWAYS, yeah, I really like this idea! (and also thank you so much omggggg (≧◡≦)) this also kinda ended up being about how well each member would be able to cook, what they would make for you, and their own preferences and stuff like that! hope you don't mind :}

I'm going to preface the hcs with; I headcanon that even if the animatronics don't need to eat food, they can still taste it and eat it so that at parties with kids it feels like they're more real! They have their own preferences with food!

Glamrock Freddy 🍯

Literally always has candy on him just for you, he's literally like a grandma (yes he has Werther's Originals and yes he has the little strawberry candies).

He used to fill his chest cavity with it, but it ended up melting and he ended up needing to be repaired.

Even though he indulges you and your sweet tooth, he does sometimes feel guilty about it since he knows it's bad for your health

He tries to make sure you've eaten something nutritious before giving you anything, but you're able to get by him very easily because of how trusting he is.

To add onto the headcanon I made about him leaving notes for you; he would also leave little candies along with the notes!

Though he's the second best in the band at cooking (first place belongs to Chica obviously), he absolutely cannot bake.

That doesn't mean he won't try though! He asks Chica to teach him her ways, and he's managed to perfect a chocolate chip cookie recipe!

He loves honey and puts it on everything.

Yes it's because he's a bear, no I will not elaborate.

Montgomery Gator 🌶

He pretends that he only likes spicy foods and will go so far as to just down hot peppers front of people. He also "doesn't like sweet things"

One night you waltzed into his green room and you caught him with marshmallows stuck on his claws like olives

Needless to say, you accept your mutual love of sweets, but that doesn't mean you'll ever let him live this one down.

0/10 cook/baker don't let him near the kitchen. Don't even let him order takeout. Literally if you asked him to cut anything, he'd stab at the food until it's turned into mush.

He's jealous that everyone else in the band but him has the ability to feed you, and he genuinely believes that the secret ingredient to good food is love.

He will literally steal sweets from small children to bring to you (he got caught by sun stealing from the daycare and was never the same again after that).

His favorite candy is warheads because he's a menace. 😁

DEFINITELY offers to beat piñatas with you as a romantic gesture.

Glamrock Chica 🧁

She feeds you EVERYTHING she bakes. She says she wants to perfect her recipes but you both know it's because she loves seeing you happy

She lets you lick the batter off of the spatula. :}}

Calls you a lot of baked good and just generally sweet related nicknames (sugar, muffin, sweet pea, CUPCAKE!!)

I also headcanon she has a southern accent, so those nicknames are exactly what you'd expect out of her.

We all obviously know she likes cupcakes, but I think her favorite baked goods are cake pops! She really likes to make them, and she also likes to make ice pops as well!

Without a doubt she'll hand feed you, and the others will tell you guys to get a room.

She'll save you the leftover cake from kids' birthday parties.

Roxanne Wolf 🥞

She can't cook very well, and she knows it, but she'll still insist on making you one thing. Pancakes! It's the only thing she knows how to make so be prepared for a lot of them.

She puts chocolate chips in your pancakes!

She doesn't really understand why you like sweet things so much, but she secretly thinks it's really cute

She thought you were going to get syrup or something on her when she first met you, and she called you a sticky IPad kid.

That was literally what she called you until you told her your name.

She would blame you if one of the keys on her keytar got jammed.💀

Though she works with kids, she hasn't tried much candy at all since she's so distracted with herself the majority of the time.

you bring in something new to share with her everyday!

She has a picture of you in her room of you eating straight whipped cream and sprinkles or something like that, and it's her favorite thing ever.

I wonder if JK ever feels bad about how he treated JM on camera in the past? From 2013-2014 he behaved coldly towards JM and that austere attitude has proven to be the center of much of the hate JM to this day gets.

Now I know, JK was young and how he behaved off camera with JM was a lot different...they both said as much...but sadly since people pay less attention to words and more attention to actions...this JK hates Jimin narrative has become fandom canon. JK can make GCFT, he can make hour long JM vlives, he can say a million times how much he likes JM...it won't matter because him hating JM or JM making him uncomfortable is literally seen as the hallmark of BTS dynamics.

Now don't get me wrong I absolutely love JK...3J are my biases. It goes Jimin->JK->J-Hope. So I'm in no way trying to blame JK for the hate JM receives...crappy people will be crappy. I just wonder if he ever blames himself.

Now I know people could retort and say well JM was really extra back then. He knew JK was shy especially on camera...he brought JK's cold shoulder upon himself. And to a degree I can say JM was 100% extra AF back then. It is so cringe to watch in all actuality. But one thing I know about JM is that he respects boundaries. If Jk didn't like it he would have stopped. But JK actually liked it...he just pretended that he didn't.

I know this to be true because JK literally said he likes the fact that JM is shameless and then when JM became all flirty said see...he's being shameless right now. Also, the minute JM stopped being super extra, JK flipped a script and became the extra cringe one. So, no JM being extra AF never bothered JK. He just didn't know how to respond to in public.

So I neither blame JM or JK...I just wonder if JK ever blames himself. He felt really bad about a fight they had a long time ago...so bad that he remembers it to this day. Remembers is in greater detail than JM even does. So I know he holds onto things...so is this something he's apologetic about?

Again...love JK so so much, I just can't help but wonder if he ever takes the blame upon himself for how JM is treated.

This is a funny thing to ask me anon, don't you think? 😁 Like there is literally no way for me to know this. No way for anyone to know how JK feels about something he did when he was young and a brat. Only he knows, and maybe Jimin. I'm sure they talked about it at the time right before JK changed. But we will never know, will we?

I sometimes do wonder though, if the more people hate the more he praises Jimin 🤔 I remember the first time he came to react to SMF it was peak auto tune allegations. So he came live to tell us how Jimin is such a good singer.

Of course the Jimin hate bothers him. That's the love of his life right there. But I don't think he blames himself. And if he does he shouldn't. It ain't his fault people are dicks, i'nnit?
