Ranting about Nucani

There is something I want to express and this fandom should know.

Nu: Carnival is a Harem game but unlike most games in the genre the relationships with MC are all canon within the same story, there are no "Routes", no "Alternate Universe/Timelines", it's all 1 Main Story where you get to gradually meet all the Characters who'll be your companions, in this game named Clan members, and all of them one way or another end up falling for Eiden (MC), which makes polyam relationship canon with Eiden as the center:

Like very few games have polyam representation, let alone a positive one, like yes the polycule it's very Eiden central but even then all the Clan Members interact with one another, as we see mainly in the time limited Events but also in the Main Story, and have friendly and amicable interactions, they rely on one another sometimes even without Eiden being involved.

But also, Aster and Morvay have a relationship established too since way before the events of the prologue of the game, Kuya and Quincy have hinted some sort of situationship (idk I don't care about Quincy and my knowledge about Kuya is limited to what happens in the story and events cause I have no limited SSRs nor have I read any of his Intimacy Rooms).

[Also if any of you knows of any other relationship that have been hinted at that i'm missing feel free to share, i specifically ask of you to refer to only canon, i know in fanon anything and everything is possible and sometimes we may be missperceiving some interactions between characters so i ask of you to take those rose tinted glasses off and see unfiltered canon, it's hard for me too ngl so dw]

All this started with some posts I saw about ppl feeling bad for Yakumo and/or Edmond to be "forced into a polyam relationship" when they are the "most romantic members" and "deserve a monogamous relationship", their words not mine, as if mono > poly , but also do you really think they're against it!?

One thing is being Clan Members against their will (which is all Huey's fault btw), having to work together to regulate the Altars' Essence (or their own) and then another one completely is involving themselves in a personal and intimate way with Eiden, which the latter they all did in their own terms and out of free will.

Also i wanna share one of the best and my fav scenes with Karu, which i know not everyone was able to experience it cause it's hidden in the Intimacy Rooms of a Limited SSR, but it expresses exactly why the polycule is consensual.

Context: Eiden has been worrying about forcing the Clan Members to be with him because he is the New Grand Sorcerer, against their will just because of Huey's magic that ties them together and the responsibility of Regulating the Altars and basically maintaining stability in the Klein Continent.

His worries began (at least that i noticed) in "Eerie Escapade" (Halloween Event), that was also the first time Garu got hurt while protecting Eiden and the first time Karu got mad at him and fronted to yell at Eiden (which is my another fav scene of Karu omg i love him so much i gotta go back and take screenshots of that but that's for another post), the second one being in "Army x Blood x Oath" (which are the screenshots i'll show u)

Because this are the Intimacy Rooms of Garu/Karu's Limited SSR this scene focuses on Eiden feeling guilty because Garu got hurt in the past (Halloween Event) and this time he lost his memory (temporarily, due to this event's story) and Eiden blaming himself for it all and wondering if they would be better off without him, but the same can and is applied to the rest of the Clan Members, seeing how Eiden met and approached Rei while respecting his privacy and independency even tho he's also a Clan Member and the newest introduced in the story, means that the Limited Events are also canon and part of the story because Eiden seems to be growing and learning from previous Events and showing that development in future Events and the Main Story.

Karu also mentions that Garu (prior to losing his memories) was also worrying about the same thing Eiden was, like 'what if Master (Eiden) stays with us just because of the contract with Huey? :c' and he calls them both idiots because they don't communicate and fronts to fix it! (Mighty Karu to the rescue)

And talking about "Eerie Escapade" that is also the event where Yakumo's possessiveness towards Eiden shows, i'll admit i haven't seen the last room but i feel like those people i mentioned before are using it as fuel to their idea, because if Yakumo is jealous of other Clan Members interacting with Eiden and "Wants him all to himself" that must mean he wants a monogamous relationship, right?

WRONG!

That just means Yakumo is a complex person that feels different emotions specially when it comes to the most important person in his life (Eiden) other than his grandparents!

And Yakumo feels guilty for having those feelings, not because of them being in a polycule and he not wanting to be in it, but because he has trauma and sees his desires and wants as selfishness and he would never allow himself to be selfish cause he doesn't want to hurt people, he's a people's pleaser! He lives with constant fear of hurting others like the Great Serpent did when it killed many (but apparently there may be more that meets the eye, because the current event hinted that the Great Serpent actually liked humans and took care of children ???)

And Yakumo dealing with those feelings along with his yokai powers as a descendant of The Great Serpent have been the main topic of his last 3 Limited SSRs, which is great because that means CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT~

Now unfortunately i cannot talk about Edmond's Intimacy Rooms as i'm missing ALL OF HIS SSRs (why do you hate me Edmond if ily) but from what i've seen he's also pretty happy being with Eiden, heck even HIS MOM is happy his son is with Eiden!

That's right, she's the first and only parent of the Clan Members that knows and approves of their relationship, if it weren't because most of them are orphan we could get many more... i wonder if Yakumo's grandparents are aware hmmm ... and we all know Olivine's parents are gonna HATE it xD and maybe Garu's wolf pack will approve of Eiden by the end of this event.

YAY okay so my first oc is Marius (they/them or he/she, I haven’t decided yet. White[?], intersex polyam aroace, seems to be in their 40s, started off as a sona but is still a self insert), then we have Bonnie (she/her, aboriginal, bi polyam trans woman/sistergirl, seems to be in her 40s), and finally Edward (he/him, Indian and Dutch, polyam bi trans man, seems to be in his 40s)! Relationship wise, Marius is in a qpr with Bonnie and Edward, who are married.

Content warning for like violence and minor descriptions of gore and cannibalism and unhealthy relationships and (mcd) death and corpses!

So Marius is an Angel sent to earth (specifically Australia because hell yeah represent) to help the survivors of a major world wide nuclear destruction or attack. Marius soon learns that most survivors are vampires, who feel the affects of the radiation much slower. Marius eventually gets eaten and gutted and killed by a group of vampires before being picked up by another group of vampires and taken to this shelter/institution where Bonnie and Edward work together to bring Marius back to life.

Also worth mentioning that Marius had known and helped Bonnie back when she was still alive/not a vampire with like science shit and also before bonnie dug up Edward and brought him back to life (Bonnie did this in the 1970s and Edward had died in the 1940s)

So Marius is brought back wrong (used to be really happy and cheerful and shit but is now really angry and aggressive but still loving. I’m pushing all my aggression and possible npd/bpd traits into them it’s great) and is now an atypical vampire (since they were just given vampire body parts that corrupted the rest of their body instead of being sired)

Marius struggles with like religious guilt and shit as well as new feeling of decay

At this point I should also share the vampires in my worlds like idk shit.

Vampirism is more of a chronic illness. Most vampires are not sired, and are born with vampirism. Once they die of the symptoms (usually in their 40s-60s) they are now a vampire. Vampires are constantly going through the human decaying process at a slower rate to normal corpses, and don’t feel affects of other illnesses the same or at all. Every month or so they have to bury themselves in the ground to restart the decaying process and get their body back in shape. It can take longer depending on how far into the decaying process their were. Also they have to do this if they are badly injured. They will fully decay and not be able to be brought back (unless I guess bonnie the mad scientist she is brings them back) if they don’t bury themselves.

So anyways Marius doesn’t know how to show their love for Bonnie and Edward, and is also being visited by their Angel spouse (don’t know anything about them yet) so they are just having a rough time with those emotions and also just vampiric stuff. So marius thinks the best way to show their love is to cannibalise Bonnie and Edward. Keep in mind marius thinks this is a human kind of thing to do. This relationship actively hurts everyone involved but they do love each other very much so yay we love toxic yuri/yaoi 💪💪💪

There’s some stuff with the ending where basically marius’ Angel spouse comes and is upset and they argue about marius not loving them anymore and marius cannibalises them but that just kills them and then heaven is sent down to take marius back and punish them so they get Bonnie to kill them and never bury them again it’s pretty wild

FUCK okay edit I forgot to mention that the shelter/institute is a shelter for any vampire who wants to stay and for vampires to research the nuclear shit around them as well as general vampirism shit. Bonnie is just the token mad scientist but Edward is the leading librarian as well as Bonnie’s lab assistant. Bonnie is girlboss and Edward is loser husband <333

jesse was born and raised in marquette, MI. his father was a hardass ex-marine drill instructor and growing up he spent a lot of time learning survival training from him. he was especially close with his older brother noah, his mother, and his maternal grandmother. jesse and his parents moved to the east coast when noah left home to join the army at 18 (jess was 10 at the time). his father re-enlisted and their relationship became heavily strained for multiple reasons. he graduated high school at the top of his class and was offered a large scholarship to CIT, which he took. his brother died during the initial invasion of anchorage in 2066, and his father died a few months later during another resurgence of the new plague. both of their deaths affected him deeply.

jesse was accepted into CIT's graduate program in the fall of 2070. he studied nuclear medicine (radiology) w/ a focus on epidemiology. he was dead-set on finding a cure for the new plague. he met teressa while still in grad school (she was in law school) and the pair quickly became inseparable. they married and moved to sanctuary hills in 2073. neither of them wanted kids initially but later changed their minds, and when shaun was born in 2076 jesse finally gave in to his paranoia and registered his family with the local vault. we all know what happens next, end of the world, dead wife man pain, all that.

he sided with the minutemen during the initial events of the game but decided around the time he met virgil that the railroad were probably his best option to help him wrt the institute. he stayed on board with them and worked as a "heavy" despite taking after deacon and preferring the stealth approach. he worked undercover in the institute until things started escalating (ticonderoga was wiped by the institute & the brotherhood infiltrated railroad hq). dez pretty much forced him from there to take part in the destruction of the prydwen; he reacted pretty badly to the whole thing and would have up and left them then and there, but he still needed their help.

to be honest i'm still not sure of the specifics from here but jesse is adamant that he can broker peace between the railroad and the institute once he becomes the director but dez doesn't believe that it will work (rightfully so honestly, it's wishful thinking but jess is ever the idealist and is almost certain he can do it (he really couldn't have tho which is the tragic bit)). she also doesn't really trust he has the same ideals as she does anymore after how he acted during the brotherhood incident. ultimately she goes behind his back and infiltrates the institute without him (via the underground pipes) and her and her agents, alongside the synths jess had been rallying while undercover, take out the institute themselves. i feel like he's probably in the institute when that happens but idrk yet. either way he's extremely distraught and in the aftermath drops contact with them entirely, save deacon, who stayed behind.

post-game he takes up shop in diamond city as their new resident doctor with curie as his assistant (not sure if she gets her synth body or not, leaning towards no). he makes a real home out of home plate and that's where he and nick get to live out some sappy domestic married life together and it's cute ok. it's cute.

Might ask you a bunch of invasive questions when he finds out you’re trans / non binary. Probably related to sex because his mind is in the gutter. But he won’t be mad if you don’t answer all of them

“He a little confused but he got the spirit” - supports you 100% even if he’s definitely learning still

Like sometimes he’ll ask you about your opinion on a passage from Stone Butch Blues, sometimes he’ll sneak into your room from the attic to show you a niche trans meme and ask you to explain the joke to him because it looks hilarious, he just doesn’t know what it all means

Probably asks you in depth about what words you’re comfortable with him using for you, so he can update his dirty talk lmaooo. But also so that he can give you pet names you like <3

Brahms Heelshire

ALSO may ask you invasive or inappropriate questions. His knowledge about transgender / nonbinary things is very spotty since he’s coming from a very uptight Christian background. And porn. May get pouty if you don’t answer everything, but later he’d feel bad and apologize by making you tea

Ends up researching, sometimes with basic videos & sometimes reading academic essays about gender and trans history. The dude lives on TE/R/F island, sadly, so you may have to help steer him in the right direction. But he’s smart enough to find good sources once he finds a good writer or two.

He may end up taking things too seriously, and if you make jokes about gender it may confuse him at first lol. Like… What’s a malewife? Is that a specific non binary identity or…? 

After reading about all the shit that’s going on, especially in the UK, he just wants to spoil you with gender affirming gifts. May get stereotypical with it - all trans girls like knee socks / all trans guys like old spice / all non binary people wear circle lenses, right Y/N? But if you tell him what you want he’ll get it 100%. Prepare to get 10 of every kind of affirming undergarment (binders, gaffs, etc)  if you ask for one lol.

Lester Sinclair (with help from Athen!)

Doesn’t know much about trans stuff, and acknowledges that. He wants to hear what it means to you - whether you have a deep connection to your transness, or you don’t think much of it, he recognizes that every trans / non binary person is different. Lester just wants to know what works best for you so he can support you

His support mostly comes from him having a good ear for listening - and for doing everything in his power to make you happy. If you want to sit back and have some beers (or drinks of your choice) and vent about your experiences or even just telling your favorite trans jokes. And if you choose to make any big changes - hormones, surgery, getting a new wardrobe - he’s right there by your side.

It doesn’t change much about his relationship with you, unless you ask. Generally he would treat partners who are male or female or both or neither about the same. Like, his go to pet names are gender neutral - sunshine, sweetpea, lovebug, etc. 

 Similarly, he’s flexible and doesn’t really attach gender to things in your relationship, like who cooks or cleans. He’ll show off his taxidermy and dance to the radio late at night with any kind of partner. He just wants to show his love

Billy Loomis & Stu Macher / Polyam!Ghostface

Billy plays it cool like he knows everything (he doesn’t). Probably looks for pamphlets and stuff online like “what to do if my partner comes out as trans” even if he won’t admit it

Stu is like “yeah! trans rights!” the second you mention you’re trans. His knowledge around trans stuff is not the best since it’s probably informed by memes & in jokes he doesn’t fully get, but it’s good that he’s learning from other trans people

Either way they’re both supportive and learning in their own ways

Stu would also be the one to practice getting your pronouns right or to help you try out a new name. Like ordering you Starbucks / drinks / food with your new name. Also he and Billy would practice by coming up with some wild stories about you as the sole survivor of the dreaded Ghostface killer

Angela Baker

She’s also trans so she understands if you may want to keep things lowkey, but she’s also ready to help if you need support with coming out or correcting people who misgender you

(very much the “Do you want me to kill that guy for you?” friend/partner)

I can see her not necessarily hiding that she’s trans but not telling people very often, so she’s kind of stealth in some areas. Either way she respects how much information you want to disclose to people, and checks in with you to make sure she’s acting appropriately. Whether you’d rather keep childhood anecdotes about Girl/Boy Scouts to a minimum, or you want to go with her to Pride, she’ll support you either way! 

Since she’s transitioned (medically & legally) she will 100% help you if you choose to transition. Helps with any paperwork and to talk to doctors and insurance companies etc, because those can be tough

Overall doesn’t make it a big deal but she loves having a trans partner who understands her. Trans 4 Trans love is pure.

💗 do you prefer to date people who are dating each other or not?

I don’t really care if people are dating each other, but I do strive for kitchen table polyam. If the people I am dating are more comfortable dating each other, awesome! If not, thats cool too. I’d just like us all to be comfy with each other and be a small community. 

 💚 how did you come to be in a polyamorous relationship/ identify as polyamorous?

Learning that other people felt jealousy seeing their partners with other people. I had been cheated on and had been hurt from betrayal and being lied to - but not because someone wanted to be with a person other than me. A bit of research, learning about compersion, and bam I realize that polyam is my best relationship model. 

I came to be in my first polyam relationship because my partner at the time suggested we open up our relationship and also be open to dating other people. He had used this to sleep with many of our friends, and finally I asked someone to fuck. That quickly turned into a cute little triad, and eventually blew up in everyone’s face - but seven years later I am engaged to the fuck so thats rad.

Heart’s Choice Author Interview: RoAnna Sylver, “Dawnfall”

Dawnfall is a 232,000 word interactive romance novel by RoAnna Sylver,  one of the first set of games releasing with the launch of Heart’s Choice. I sat down with the author, RoAnna Sylver, to talk about writing interactive romance. Heart’s Choice games release December 2nd.

Dawnfall has frankly an insanely wonderful setting for a romance game. Tell me about the aliens, the pirates, the ghosts, and the alien-pirate-ghosts.

Hi there! I’m so glad you think this sounds fun! Yeah, Dawnfall is weird as heck, and that’s one of the things I love about this story. It’s weird in a way I don’t think we’ve seen much of before. I really just tried to put in everything I find fun or interesting, and that I’ve always wanted to write. Dawnfall started out as a total brain-candy project, and runs on pure Rule of Cool. Pirates? Yes. Magic? Yes. A slice of cyberpunk? Hell yes. Eerie ghosts and faerie-tale influences and memory-sharing potions? Giant bird people? The power of rock n’roll? Yes, yes, yes.

And also everybody’s dateable, and in a couple cases, dating each other. We weave a tangled web, but I think it’s a pretty badass and spectacular web.

You seem to really neatly straddle the genre fence here with a romance and sci-fi/fantasy. What was challenging about cramming all of that into one game?

Thank you so much for saying that. I’ve always adored SFF, and there’s so much in this genre-collection, so many extremes and concepts and contrasting colors, that I couldn’t limit myself to picking just one to play with. This weird game-book is kind of a love letter to fantasy and science fiction and haunted house stories and cyberpunk adventures—I thought a lot about the Disney movie Treasure Planet for its genre-blending beauty, and the Bioware game Mass Effect for its array of fascinating, multidimensional alien cuties to interact with and date… and then turned it up to eleven.

I guess you’d expect the challenge to be in making it all fit together/be “believable,” but I kind of threw that out the window. I don’t expect anyone to find it ‘realistic’ (setting-wise anyway; I tried to make every character ring true of course), and I don’t really care if someone thinks it’s silly, or doesn’t take it seriously. It is silly in a lot of ways. DAWNFALL is a giant ridiculous queer space magic pirate adventure, and the only goal is fun. If you have fun, I’ve done my job, and there should be something fun in here for everyone.

Did you have a favorite NPC you enjoyed writing most?

Honestly I love them all so much in different ways, and I know them so well by now it’s really second nature. Their voices come so easily and they’re all so much fun. The Queen’s swagger is awesome though, and her mental voice/mannerisms probably come through especially clearly. I love Zenith’s vulnerable moments when xie lets xir guard down and lets go of the need to entertain or please. I love Averis’s journey and growth from cute wibbly nerd to a confident swashbuckler (who is also still a cute wibbly nerd). I love how deeply Oz feels, how strongly he loves and remembers and honors memory, and how unafraid he is to show softness and warmth. And I love a certain spoilery ghost-babe and how they’re so full of joy at the beauty of life.

I do want to give special mention to Aeon, though. This is a story about connection, and I wanted to show that sibling bonds are every bit as important and strong as romantic or any other. I also wanted to show a complex, multidimensional antagonist figure who holds heartbreaking secrets along with authority, and is genuinely trying to do what she thinks is the best thing, and wants what’s best for you, the PC, even if you might not always agree. Her balance between being so emotionally guarded and determined and unyielding, while hopefully being extremely easy to read and tell what she wants and fears and loves—spoiler: you; she loves you!—was a challenge I hope I pull off.

…Also I enjoy any time Vyranix gets his pompous feathered ass handed to him. I think we all know a Vyranix, or at least of one, and it’s always fun to take them down, even in fantasy.

Who would you be romancing as a player?

I’m gonna say “everyone,” and here it won’t actually be cheating, because you can romance everyone! At once! In varying degrees/relationship dynamics and attractions. You don’t see a lot of polyamory-friendly games or books or anything really, and this is an incredibly important thing for me. The second I got the idea for Dawnfall I knew it had to let players romance anyone they wanted and show polyamory in a realistic, healthy light. I’m also a-spec (asexual and aromantic), and having not just good representation but being actively included and welcomed and celebrated in fiction is so huge too.

Dawnfall is a romance of course, being part of Heart’s Choice, but one of the single most vital elements for me is making it inclusive for aromantic and asexual players and player-characters. Essentially, I wanted to write a romance that didn’t penalize players for not experiencing the attractions the way we’re otherwise expected or required—and I’m so grateful that my amazing editors and community not only accepted but supported everything I was trying to do here. (It’s so refreshing not to have to fight for inclusion and freedom. It shouldn’t be, but it is.)

And that’s where the concept of “Heart-Stars” and “Same-Feathers” came from. I’ve never seen anything honor queerplatonic relationships like I’m trying to do here, and I want everyone, of every sexuality and attraction, to feel like they have a place here and can experience this adventure without limits. And I wanted to show that it’s a very normal thing, hence this being the same for the human characters as well as alien. (One of the nonbinary characters being human is also no mistake. I love me some wild alien genders, but there are tons of awesome nonbinary humans too!)

…That being said, I think I gave Averis most of my anxiety-issues, and would really just like to curl up with Oz and watch The Great British Bake-Off. That sounds like a perfect night in my books.

What were some of the things you found surprising about the game-writing process?

Coding was definitely the biggest learning curve. I’d never coded anything before in my life, and it’s such a new skillset to learn, entirely different from any kind of writing I’ve ever done. Sometimes it felt rewriting my brain, which did not at all do this intuitively—and also sometimes like I bit off much more than I could chew (first game ever being not only a huge piece of interactive fiction, but a polyamorous romance with aro and ace possibilities, and so many more variables than expected!), but it’s been worth it. Entirely. If my writing makes anyone feel seen and accepted and invited to have fun as they are, it’s worth every bit of struggle.

Also, oddly, interactive fiction is in some ways easier for me than writing a plain old book! Probably because I love AUs so much, and every choice in a game is like writing a tiny AU of the story, so I get to do the same scenes several different ways. My ADHD-brain finds something about this extremely satisfying, most likely because it somehow feels more like multitasking! Several stories in one, and if I like two ideas, I don’t have to pick just one to write!

Honestly though, I think the most surprising part is just being done, and…that I could do this at all. It was so huge, and took so long, and I learned so much, and every day I’m just kind of going “who the hell am I?” about doing all of this. I’m proud of it. I did a cool thing. And trying to get better at saying that.

And, what are you working on now?

I always have about 8 active projects going at once (which shouldn’t come as a surprise after last question!), but my next interactive fiction game is with Tales/Fable Labs! It’s shaping up to be a Dawnfall-sized project, but a little faster-moving and action-y.

It’s called Every Beat Belongs To You, and it’s a romantic thriller that feels like Twin Peaks meets Mr. Robot, with a smattering of Repo: The Genetic Opera. A creepy Pacific Northwest town with a secret (and a rash of ritualized murders), a super-slick medical research company whose flagship product is a 100% perfect synthetic heart, a mysterious new-age group, and a sister who went missing just before discovering how it’s all connected. Also five simultaneously-dateable (including ace and aro ships!) cuties of varying genders! Who will you trust with your heart?

I’m very excited about Everybeat, which should be just as queer, polyam, exciting, and weird as all my stuff! Aside from that, I’m working on Stake Sauce Book 2, its companion f/f vampire series Death Masquerade, and Chameleon Moon Book 3. I’m not always working…sometimes there are videogames, and sleep. But I really hope to have a lot more fun things to share soon!

Oh, and depending on how this weird, fun thing goes, I do have some ideas for prequel Dawnfall stories; maybe games, maybe books, but the ideas are there. The world—worlds, really—is so huge, and I’m not done playing in it yet! I also have some character art drawn, and I want to do a lot more of them. It’s another way to show love.

londonhq is openly being dicks about ace muns 'i don't know what ace writers mean'

So I want to start by saying before I answered this ask, I did bring up to the admin team (off anon!!!) that ace meant asexual. I understand that not everyone is well-versed in lgbtqia+ shorthand, and I do my best to be patient with the cis and/or het folks that don’t understand shorthand for lesser known terms. I recommend that in the future, instead of sending something like this to me, you talk to the admins yourself. Off anon or on anon, just explaining what something means. Before we knew to use enby instead of nb and before we knew to use polyam instead of poly, we had someone point out to us the differences. And we learned.

The initial response was dismissive, and I agree it was dick-ish.

When I chatted with the admin team I recommended that they write something addressing the response because it read as dismissive. I used the term “read as” with them because, as I know often happens with folks online, anything less patient would be read as aggressive and I had time today.

That being said -- their current response is disappointing. I’m sure there were people sending in less than polite messages, rightfully frustrated with their tone and the simplistic “this is a mature roleplay” answer. I don’t think anyone needed to be polite with their response, nor am I saying people shouldn’t be upset. 

Regardless of the tone, if someone calls you out, or calls you in, on problematic behavior: thank them, apologize for not understanding initially, and rectify the issue. Especially given their lack of diversity for LGBTQIA+ characters, I wouldn’t expect them to know what ace is. However, this kind of attitude and disregard for LGBTQIA+ acknowledgment shows how little the admin team even thinks about diversity for their roleplay. If you want to create a safe space for writers, making your space inclusive and doing research is abso-fucking-lutely necessary. 

How is someone supposed to feel comfortable bringing muses of color to a roleplay where 30 of less than 40 characters are white - hell, how are people of color supposed to feel? How is someone who is nonbinary supposed to feel comfortable in a roleplay where there are 0 nonbinary characters? How are folks supposed to feel safe when the response to “hey, maybe put read mores as compulsory” is “this is a mature rp” as though there aren’t folks who are averse to sex for plenty of reasons -- including their own sexualities and triggers.

“Throwing up your hands” and posting screenshots of what you googled when called out is childish. It’s not cute, endearing, or forgiving. It is simply childish and shows you’re more concerned about your own comfort than creating a safe space. This is going to sound super cliche, but I hope the team over at @londonhq learns something from this experience and takes this into consideration. 

This is all I’m going to answer about the rp, and in the future don’t send me shit like this.
