An idea I have but don't want to write - Minerva sees Desmond sacrifice himself and feeling somewhat guilty, she broadcasts who desmond is and what he has done into the minds of every human on earth - in doing so also spilling the beans on the Isu and the Juno, and also assassins and Templars. Every single human being now knows that Desmond Miles died to save the world. A stereo is panicking. The assassins are freaking out. JUNO is freaking out. Religions are freaking out. And also new ones featuring Desmond start being made.
Minerva just going:
Tumblr media
I get it. I have a lot of ideas I don’t wanna write too. We write what we want and what makes us happy. Sometimes, the ideas we have are just ‘hey, you know what would be awesome/fucked up’ but at the same time we’re like ‘hhhmm… yeah.. not gonna write that…’ Sometimes, ideas just remain ideas in the end and that’s okay.
Okay, but on a more serious note, this has soooo many things that could go wrong. Like, Minerva’s pretty much going “fuck it, I’m already dead by this point, it’s no longer my problem!” and screwed up everybody in the process.
Let’s not even focus on Desmond yet.
By blowing the lid on what the Isus were, Minerva had effectively hit a deadly blow to every religious organization in the world. Not only that, the scientific world would be scrambling as everything they know to be true about the world must be scrutinized now that they know that there was an ancient civilization before them.
Then there are those drenched in power and those who desire power.
Politicians, terrorists, CEOs of corporations that control the world, etc…
They would be scrambling to get ahold of these POEs because they would be a source of power that they do not have but crave.
And now we get to the shit that comes to light because of Desmond…
The Templars and Assassins.
The Templars have it harder. Soooo much harder.
They’re Abstergo. Their deeds have been broadcast which included Desmond’s abduction, forcing him to relive his ancestors’ life, toying with his feelings using Lucy Stillman and…
Oh yeah.
The Great Purge gets uncovered too because Desmond hears about it and there are journalists and conspiracy theorists that smelled blood in the water and they’re definitely eating everything they can.
The Assassins are panicking but they’re fine, all things considered. They’re used to hiding. Rebecca, Shaun, and Bill are the only ones whose faces everyone knows right now (also Desmond’s mom, I guess?). But the rest can still stay in the shadow.
And now…
The world is shifting.
Religions featuring Desmond as a messiah and even a god (the one true god, the god of humans, not the false gods of the Isus) are popping up and they’re making things... actually easier for the Assassins.
Because they all have the same thing in common.
They wear white hoods.
Some wear hoodies.
Others go for the whole white robes that are pretty much monk robes.
So now the Assassins have an easy way to blend in.
It’s like they’re retreading the path walked by the Levantine Brotherhood during the Third Crusades.
But this time, it is the cults and religions worshipping Desmond Miles that are sweeping the world.
Shaun, Rebecca, and Bill knew that Desmond would have hated this.
He had sacrificed himself so that the world would not treat him as a god.
So that his deeds and words wouldn’t be twisted into fanaticism.
But, in the end, that was what was happening.
The religion and cults are joining together, creating a large religious organization that places Desmond as the one true god (although some say that he is a human turned god, others say he is a reincarnated god). Altaïr, Ezio and Ratonhnhaké:ton are even getting added to the 'doctrines', being called prophets and saints. Some sect even consider them Desmond the god taken human form. Haytham, if he is even added, is more divisive with many sects calling him a false Prophet while others call him a Fallen Prophet.
This religious organization marks every other religion as worshipping false gods and it doesn’t help that Juno has shown herself, protected by her own cult or whatever bullshit those nutbags call themselves (the Instruments of the First Bitch or whatever). Juno is showing a very bad image of the old gods and that’s only making everything so much worse.
And that is how…
The Holy Wars begin anew.

Okay is it just me or does the pattern up the back of both Baylan and Shin’s outfits look like a spine, like exposed bone. At least to me, every time I watch the scene of them talking quietly on the henge, looking out over the graveyard planet and it shows their backs, that’s all I can think of, that it looks like exposed bone. Like they are things already dead, doomed things with the bone showing through, looking out over this planet where the star whales come to die, that they’ve come to, searching, hungry. Will they find what they need to heal here, or will this be their graveyard, too?

i know we all think that calypso's character was ‘ruined’ in the heroes of olympus but seriously if you think about her actual character from ‘the odyssey’, rick actually made her nicer and less unlikable.

When we were first introduced to the Keyblade Graveyard in Birth by Sleep, we weren’t given enough context to make much of it. We were told that a great war for the fate of the once united world was fought here, and we imagined that the innumerable keyblades, nearly turned to dust, lining the ground like tombstones must mark the resting places of once mighty warriors.
What could describe our horror when, upon returning to there with Sora in KH3, we knew that those weapons marked the deaths of children.
The first war for the survival of the Light was fought by children, and now, again, when this war was re-manufactured by a madman, they would be the ones called to defend the Light.
We are told early on that when the world was first splintered apart, and all seemed to be lost, the Light lived on in the hearts of the young. Children are the Light’s lifeline, its last hope. But with how often it has to resort to its lifeline, how dark must be the hearts of adults, the ones who are supposed to defend? Where were they during the First Keyblade War? When the worlds were overtaken by Darkness in KH1, or when it was on the brink of collapse in KH3?
How bleak of a world must the world of Kingdom Hearts be, if the Light is nearly always forced to find its champions in children?

How did Suzumi hurt Tsubakura? Why did they hurt Tsubakura? Are they sorry?
Strap yourselves in folks. This one is gonna get dark.
(TW: Abusive relationships and Suzumi being Suzumi)
Generally speaking, I've always contextualized the relationship between Suzumi and Tsubakura as a very toxic relationship. Both initially fell in love with each other because they admired the other's brain. Not just in the intelligence sense (as both are that plenty), but more in the sense of just how the other thinks. Suzumi admired Tsubakura's tenaciousness even in the face of more squicky experiments, and Tsubakura admired Suzumi's for their own peculiar way of thinking (as well as for not backing down from the aforementioned squicky experiments).
However, what started out as strong passion soon turned very, very rancid. Suzumi started becoming more and more controlling, and Tsubakura started withdrawing more and more into themself in response. Tsubakura's witty bite began having more vicious, even cruel, undertones when they talked together. They began to fight more and more while their experiments became more and more unethical, until one day, it all went too far.
Tsubakura never told a soul what exactly Suzumi had proposed to them that day, but the look in their eyes on the very rare occasions they bring it up ensures no one has ever tried to dig any deeper. Whatever it was, it caused Tsubakura to end the relationship. But not before one final act of sabotage to ruin this life's long work of theirs as retaliation when Suzumi refused to let them just walk away.
And that's when everything went to hell. Heartbroken and betrayed, every positive memory Suzumi had of Tsubakura turned into a bitter poison. So in response, they decided to destroy Tsubakura's in retaliation. But since Tsubakura never had a project they held in similar value, they turned to the one thing they did: their friends and family.
The nuke incident was just the beginning. Suzumi took to trying to kill, and in some cases successfully killing, Tsubakura and their friends. They did their damnedest to make them utterly alone and miserable. And just when Tsubakura thinks they're safe, there they are to make things worse. It wasn't until Mugenri that Tsubakura ever felt even a little safe again. And even then those days are numbered.
Is Suzumi truly sorry for all this pain? Perhaps a little bit. They have always been a very lonely individual for a variety of things, and Tsubakura was the first person to truly care for them without a string attached. It's just that since these people are so rare, it made them want to do everything they could to keep them. Their ambitions soared higher and higher now that they had someone to care about, only for that person to stab them in the back when they finally revealed their magnum opus to them.
Perhaps they recognize that they are ultimately the one at fault for pushing them away? They never did truly listen to Tsubakura, now did they? ...But those regrets don't matter anymore. Where there was once love there is now only hatred. They will not stop. Not until they see that look of pure agony and betrayal forever etched into Tsubakura's face like they did to them.

I did it. I took time off work for the next week, which means this Friday will be my last day of working this year.
I really really want to spend at least some of that time writing, but the question is: where do I find the motivation to do it?
