Because I am a complete mess of a person, I forgot to put a few on my original list, so good news for the person who suggested Wizard from Stardew Valley a bit late: Because of my stupidity, he is now on the bracket!
We have a total of 104 contestants! This will be a standard single-elimination tournament. Match-ups were completely randomized, although for the first round I did not allow match-ups between two characters from the same franchise.

Boone- Dragon (Let's give him a Rayquaza to fight the Legion, he'll love it. I think.)

Since Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is releasing soon, I had a dumb idea: what types of Pokémon would Fallout New Vegas characters use?

The Courier: My courier specifically would use dragon types. This type matches her feral-ness, and she would prefer/need strong Pokémon.
Cassidy: Would totally use fire types. After she drinks and her temper surfaces, I think she would want to burn the entire Mojave lmao.
Arcade: Grass types. Grass is considered one of the weaker types, and I think that suits him because I don’t think he would be the competitive type. Plus grass types have access to a lot of healing moves.
Boone: Flying types because he often waits in high-up places whenever he’s on the job. I imagine he has something of a bird’s eye view whenever he snipes.
Vulpes: Would definitely use dark types. Not much explanation needed. He often plays tricks on people, and he’s an expert at manipulation.
Caesar: Psychic types. Psychic is pretty much considered the “intellectual” type in Pokémon, and that matches Caesar’s description in game.
Lanius: Fighting types. This dude pretty much wants to fight everything that breaths, so this type suits him.
Mr. House: Electric types. He’s surrounded by dozens of securitrons, and he lives with a shit ton of technology.
Ulysses: Ground types. If Pokémon existed in fnv, then I imagine there would be a ton of ground types in the Divide.
Christine Royce: Steel types. This type just suits her a lot, and it goes well with the Circle of Steel concept.
Veronica: Rock types. I can’t really come up with a good explanation for this one, she just gives rock type vibes lol.
Joshua Graham: Ghost types. Many people think he’s dead, and realistically, he should be after the whole debacle with the Legion. But, he survived, and now he lives with his scars.
Raul: Bug type. Bug is also one of the weaker types, and I think that sort of suits Raul. He can get knocked down by a lot of things, yet he keeps on kicking.
The King: Ice types. This man is the king of cool, and he’s pretty chill, so this is apt lol.
Lily: Poison types. Lily used to be a stealthy assassin, so I could see her poisoning people if it were an option.
General Lee Oliver: Normal types. This guy is just… the most normal type guy ever. Sorry not sorry, he’s so boring lmao.
Julie Farkas: Fairy types. Julie is one of my favorite side characters, and she’s really nice in game. So yeah, she would be a fairy type user. Also, (I think?) fairy types have access to healing moves as well.
Benny: Water types. Much like water, Benny can seem nice at first, until it pulls you under, or the creatures living under the surface attack you. Plus, my courier hates large bodies of water, so it’s even more fitting lmao.
I think I got through all of the types. I’m not sure why I felt compelled to write this, but enjoy my brain rot lmao.

hello and welcome!
I'm Milo! 32yo, trans dude, he/him. I'm looking for sb 20+ who likes multiple paragraph prose, third person, preferably past tense though I'm willing to compromise. fluent grammar, written over discord in a server of our own. replies every few days if possible, but life sometimes gets in the way and I'm okay with that, hope you are too! my typical reply speed varies, from several times a day to a few times a week depending on how busy life is. I'm forgiving of small grammar mistakes (I'm not a native speaker myself) but can get a bit nitpicky! if that's not your thing that's fine, but proper grammar is important to me. ships I'm looking for at the bottom! (◡‿◡✿) note that just bc I don't have a current muse in a possible shared fandom listed here atm doesn't mean I can't adapt sb (cough Gambit) for said fandom or find a muse in that fandom to write! Ohhhh! Now should be the time that I talk about that D&D from like a couple days ago? Who knows it's lost in the abyss because I post so much headassery 😂😂 anyways!
Arcade was probably the easiest to come up with, but he definitely plays a druid, hes definitely more nature driven, and constantly makes remedies for the party! He also has a undying love for animals, in fact he befriends a lot of them to the point it's almost expected for him to find at least everyday. His character is also influenced a lot by himself, like a self insert, even down to the name 'Arcade' I also imagine him covered in dirt CONSTANTLY this man spends a lot of time in the dirt with nature, in fact he doesn't wear shoes. That being said he would be clad in rather tethered clothes, a hand knit poncho that he never takes off (he made it himself he's proud) him also sewing any holes in his pants because he doesn't make new clothes often, he wears them down until he simply can't ! He loves flowers, so he makes a lot of flower crowns and wears them on his head, it makes him feel 'in tune' with nature. He carries sticks around a lot too! I haven't thought about his choice of weapon tho, maybe a hand crafted dragger? OOOO incrusted with flowers in the handle ajdhsidj maybe so! That might end up being it !
Now onto!
Boone! Boone is a grumpy ghome HANDS DOWN he just radiates angry ghome. Boone definitely self inserts his name, even giving the character a dead wife, he's overly angry, and straight to the point, when he demolishes something, he means it and that's that on that. He does have a soft side no one really sees though ! He's generally the bluffest in the party, he acts fearless, and he does have a strong will to protect the party. He weilds a heavy ax, often he throws it to snipe a gremlin right in the eye (arcade gives him the 'I can't believe you killed that cute little dude' look) he's pretty strong for a little dude, very intimidating!
Veronica! Now: she definitely chooses to give her character a more creative name! That I can't think of atm so if anyone has ideas hit me up ! She definitely seems to be a ghome too, but a half ghome half elf, she can be feral when she wants to but she's generally the sweetest. She has a knack for making things (tho most the time it's useless) however Arcade taught her how to make flower crowns and she is in love with them! She definitely uses a anicent power fist, I couldn't resist that being her weapon cuz of the game !
Cass: she's the DM for SURE ! She definitely stirs up a very serious plot she wants everyone to take part in. I don't necessarily have a lot on her as a character in it but I'll work on it !
Lily and Raul don't play, but Lily makes d&d themed snacks for their adventure! And Raul likes the entertainment especially out of Arcade, who gets WAYY to into it.
Whoo! Anyways this turned into a LONGGGGG post but this is an idea I had brewing for a while ! Hopefully ill get art of some of this SOON!

i have so many ocs i cant hold them all
currently the ones i am fixated on (because the pandemic made me regress) are literally revamped versions of my ocs when i was like, 9, based on toys i had... but that's information you gotta beg me for
The more Relatable ocs I have include the ones from video games with character creation. Some of them have tags on my blog. I will focus on the big ones and leave the others in the dust. just like my sketchbook.
Dragon Age: (if youve never played da i apologize)
my hero of ferelden Opal Tabris who i have had since early high school and if you couldn't tell from my url, she loves zevran. seems cold on the outside but is super caring and kind on the inside
my blue hawke Jade Hawke she loves fenris... i dont have any da2 gifs of her bc i dont have in on pc
and then I have multiple inquisitors i actually care about my most fleshed out is Bade Lavellan who was originally created for Dorian back in 2014 but has then evolved into being in love with my friend's da oc, Mahonan, an angry and traumatized dalish elf. I like their dynamic better because in summary, Bade is kind to everyone and puts others before himself even though the world is constantly dragging him through the dirt. They balance each other out. He also doesnt think hes fit to be a leader but tries because he thinks he has to. I also REALLY care about his best friendship with Sera they both help each other be better people
Next up is Athera Lavellan, aka necromancer barbie. She's a Dalish mage who cares about her people before all else and feels like she's betraying her clan by being inquisitor, but she knows she can do good in the inquisition. She LOVES Blackwall they are very codependent on each other and like grossly in love
I also have Amber Trevelyan which i usually dont like playing humans if I have another choice but I decided to make a backstory for her to make her more interesting. Her noble family disowned her when her magic was discovered so she found family in the circle (but shes not necessarily pro-circle. she hates templars and her eye scar is from a templar). Vivienne is her new mom and she's in love with Sera
Mass Effect: I only have one and it’s Evangeline Shepard she’s a paragon because i cant be mean she loves Thane and hates Earth because of her Tragic Backstory
Stardew Valley:
This is Jude i love him he’s nice and gay and could probably be a lumberjack if he put on plaid. he likes nerdy junk and is stoked when he learns magic is real. he quickly becomes close with sebastian and wants to experience the magic with him :’’’) (im not very good at art but the only other picture i have is his little in-game pixels)
I also have another farmer named Lorna. I dont have a good picture of her but she’s a goofball and has a big ol’ crush on Penny
Fallout:
I like your courier so I’ll put mine here too! Her name is Rapunzel. Why? I don’t know. That’s just what I put in the character creator all those years ago. Maybe after getting shot in the head since she had memory loss she forgot her name but remembered liking the fairy tale? your guess is as good as mine. Bisexual disaster. Would be dead if it wasn’t for boone&arcade and her high speech skill. She acts bubbly and sarcastic which she is but its partly bc shes using it to hide the fact that she doesnt think of herself as anything more than a “deadbeat mailman” and thinks she has no place having such influence over new vegas and the mojave. She has a big school girl crush on Boone which may or may not be unrequited but she’s like his best friend and instead she sees herself as clingy and annoying and an inconvenience.

so for fun and since i have to get it outta my notes app, here’s some notes i had to go along with this post, how I’d port the New Vegas companions into my headworld (tho i dont plan to, this is a fun thought exercise!)
ED-E: he makes me wanna add some kinda magical constructs to Cazcarn and make them exclusive to there! He’s some kind of metal construct that runs off ambient magic
Boone: he’s a hawk though any other kind of bird of prey would work, im not sure past that
Veronica: she’s a salamandral, which is basically a mythical salamander! there’s no thought behind this except I wanted someone to be a dragon or dragon-esque. she gets cool fire powers tho
Cass: she’s a bobcat because idk the vibe works, she most definitely keeps her status as part of a caravan but maybe it’s not destroyed here
Arcade: collared lizard bc idk it works and i needed a reptile. he probably keeps his medical background because that’d be fun to explore
Raul: vulture, maybe? i don’t have any analogue for ghouls or even undead which in this verse making something like that or even existing like that will call down the wrath of Zael, the goddess of death. but look me in the eye and tell me a vulture vaquero isn’t awesome
Lily: she’s a sphinx but a magically mutated one. Magical disasters DO exist elsewhere in the world and probably have some form of fallout so this isn’t just me adding smth to rip off Fallout lmao

New Vegas (Humanoid) Companions and Their (Possible) Favorite Pokémon Types
Arcade- Electric (but he would totally have a Chansey or Blissey.)
Boone- Dragon (Let's give him a Rayquaza to fight the Legion, he'll love it. I think.)
Cass- Fighting (Imagine her having a Lucario in a bar fight, just imagine it)
Lily- Normal (She'd probably just get a pack of Eevees and never evolve them or end up with a pack of Sylveons since they evolve by love and Lily would most likely spoil her Eevees ROTTEN. Like her grandkids)
Raul- Steel (Just think how helpful a Magneton would be doing repairs)

🤥 💥 and ⚾ for sol?
🤥 LYING - are they good liars? do they have tells to show they're lying?
Sol is an incredibly good liar. Even most people who are close to him can’t tell when he’s lying. It’s part of the reason (among many) that Boone became so antagonist towards him for a while - when he realized that Sol had been lying to him about extremely important things from the get go and Boone barely even clocked it. Absolutely destroyed any trust between them. Sol tries his hardest to be honest with his friends and found family, but it’s something that is deeply ingrained in him from long before Goodsprings. He lies to survive. Though even after Goodsprings he doesn’t mind lying to people he doesn’t care about. He had both the NCR and Caesar in his pocket for a time because of it.
That being said, Arcade learned how to read him very quickly. Sol’s tells are subtle and pretty much any verbal or fidgety cues are hidden under his speech disorder and stimming, but the biggest thing that tips Arcade off is facial expression. Sol kind of looks perpetually miserable, it’s just his resting face. When he’s lying or trying to hide an emotion (which is often), his expression becomes extremely casual and/or blank. It’s reassuring to most people, but Arcade immediately knows that something is being hidden. Boone learns this eventually as well which makes him relax around Sol a bit more.
💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?
Sol has a very difficult time even identifying his emotions. He feels them all so strongly both mentally and physically and so many of them feel the same to him. He struggles to deal with quite a few of them, even the good ones
But I’d say the one that gets him into the most trouble is guilt. He lives in a sea of it and it has almost killed him on multiple occasions. It drives him to doing outrageously reckless things and to push away anyone who tries to help. The guilt about his past was nearly insurmountable for a time. But even once he learns to cope with it, he still has issues with both big and small things. For example, his memory is awful and he can’t help it so he’ll forget things like anniversaries (his grip on the passage of time is also poor) or doing things he promised he would or meeting up with someone somewhere. It always absolutely tears him up inside when he realizes he’s forgotten. The guilt eats at him constantly and he will often go above and beyond to try to make it right but even so.
⚾ BASEBALL - can they play sports? what is their best position if they play a team sport? what's their strong suit (speed, power etc.)?
Hmmm Sol certainly hasn’t ever played any sports, but he would probably make a good athlete. Absolutely no contact sports or heavy lifting though.
He’s fast as hell and can run for a nearly inhumanly long time so he could very easily do most types of track and field. His agility is also maxed and he is very small so certain types of gymnastics would be good.
In my Dragon Age AU version of him he is a mage archer and I do believe he would be a fantastic archer given his skill sets as a sniper. I don’t know if that counts as a sport but it’s in the olympics so whatever
He’d be better at solo sports than team sports, but if he has to be in a team then making him the captain is the best move. He is good at organizing people and is tactically minded
