You must learn to listen with your heart and not just your ears; the voice of a maiden, forgotten but not unknown, flowed into his mind. 

And so Túrin listened for the voice within and found Anglachel’s song changed. It was no longer muffled mourning but a clear, rhythmic chant. It called, and Anguirel answered. A melody of togetherness, two voices completing a whole. 

The sudden feeling of relief intoxicated him, his spirit lighter than it had been in many long days. Maeglin offered the newly reforged weapon, but Túrin’s hand strayed to the smith who had given the blade life again. He reached for Maeglin’s wrist right above Anglachel’s obsidian hilt and let his fingers slide up Maeglin's arm, feeling the tight muscle from long labor before finally settling upon his jaw. 

His touch lingered but did not grasp; if Maeglin did not wish for this, he could easily withdraw, step away from him. But he did not and turned to kiss Túrin’s wrist, his eyes falling shut, his lips traveling along the lines inside his palm. Túrin leaned forward, without fully realizing what he was doing, and pressed his face upon Maeglin’s neck. He took in the scent of him, so familiar and long desired.

And your art has been a beacon of light for me. To see my beloved elves take shape with your talent was a balm to my heart and it helped me go through some hardships. So thanks everyone, because if I made it all the way through 2022, it's in part thanks to you. I hope you realize how important your art is to some people ! Nothing like watching a tiktok that makes you realize that 1) Finwe definitely painted a significant collection of erotic nude portraits of both Miriel and Indis and 2) Fingolfin and/or Finarfin (probably Finarfin) found Finwe's collection of Sexy Wife Nudes and had to decide what to do with them after he died.

Poor Finarfin did NOT need to be bombarded with Mom Labia upon arriving home post-kinslaying. Unsure if Mom Labia is better or worse than Dead Stepmom Labia.

But for sure the worst are the Miriel/Indis pieces. (Most dated to the awkward time before Finwe married Indis. I suspect they have the same vibes as @anattmar's Miriel/Indis art.)

Drawn by an unseeable force, Túrin knelt and drank from the water, feeling it slide down his dry throat like a healing liquor. It spread through his body, nurturing him, breathing life into his heart. 

Warm tears welled in his eyes and ran down his face, eager to dive into the icy pool. Túrin cast himself down, surrendering to Ivrin and allowing her to envelop his body. She received all his sorrows gladly, and they swelled her clear waters all the more. 

He sat and dug his fingers into the smooth pebbles, finally setting his voice free. His song told of Beleg and their love, the home that was no longer theirs, the rich woods and the steep hills they walked together, and Belthronding and Anglachel, also. 

The blade heard Túrin’s voice and joined him in song. It wept for its own pain, mourning the hands of its creator as it did for Beleg, who had carried it in friendship. 

Túrin sang and sang, again and again, each verse louder than the last, heedless of peril. Until his voice was utterly spent, and the wells of his eyes were depleted. He felt as light as the sunset leaves floating down the streams. 

‘Welcome back,’ the elf stated simply when the singing ceased. His face remained as grim as it had been, but his shoulders seemed to ease somewhat. ‘This is a strange blade, unlike any I have seen in Middle-earth. It mourns for Beleg even as you do.’
