HAHA OK OK LETS ANSWER THIS IM SO EXCITED reason im late to answering is bcs i was waiting to properly sit down n type out all my thoughts. im so excited. well firstly i hope u like madarame or u prob wont like my thoughts abt him i love him vvvvv much hes my fav sd guy n my second fav route!

tldr i love madarame for his hot looksand voice, his unserious funny nature his genuine care for towa and honest straightforward personality. i jsut rly love him a lot. my man !!!!

ok so b4 i played the game for some reason everyone talked abt him like he wasnthe devil so i was scared of playing his route n i didnt rly have a good impression of him. id even hate on him out of peer pressure. but he was really sexy, i rly liked his arms and. and his tits ok he has nice tits also hes dilfy anf tall i lvoenthat. so i was scared but still he waskind of a guilty pleasure to me JSHFHS THIS IS ALL B4 THE GAME CAME OUT!!! now when i actualy startednplaying i was still dreadimg his route but like i said i found hi mrlyyy sexy. so i was willingnto give him a chance. at fiest i wasnt likingnthe direction the route wa staking tho i wasnt surprised bcs thid is how i expect kidnappernroutes to plsy out. but halfway theough my opinion of him rly chsnged? acrually even b4 thst...hed like actually try to keep towa fed n liek put a blsnket on him n gave him a shower n stuff i didnt liek him yet but i was like hmm 🤔 then then whentowa came back after being let ho by madarame my opniino of himjsut chsnged comoletey. henwas so muchmore chill thani thought n i LVOED his casual dynamic e towa its like yeah thyre violent but u could tell that theyre comfortable n sctually care abt each otger. nad the mroe i played his route the more i lvoed him...my brain is a messnrn so i cant articulate it right !!! i just rly lvoenthe guy!! firstly, i was expecting him to be a villain tyoe so when i found out he didnt scrually kill kaga n was also associated w guyd like mayu eiji kotarou i was v surprised..n everyoen sctuslly liked him? like igarashi n mayu kotsrou n all..so it kinda influenced my opinion too i think. also i jsut yhink madarame is so unserious and fun and neat nsbfbd. i rly do love his dynamic w towa i love how. yk usually in this type of route the mc ends up beigm rly submissive but w madarames route that seems to be the opposite of what he wants n he wsnts towa to have soem life bsck in him hes disappinted in how dead insife hes become. n by the end they rly do feel like equals to me!!@ and i just. love how their dynamic id unconventional yet they still care deeply abt each othef ghrrhrhd lime. madarame has such a fuck the past attitude yet he kept the photo n the lgihter n came bsck for towa. ALSOOO i lthink madarame is a v honest person and he doesnt hide things which is one of the main reasons he appealed to me also him not having ulterior motives like greed power momey itnwas kindanrefreshing he was jsut living his life in the moment. i rly like that mindset im trying to adopt it myself since it makes me worry lesshfhdjs. i cantnrly explain why but hes also weirdly comforting to me. i think hesnrly funny as well i lvoe when towas like hey why r we doing this (bodyguard disguise thign) n madarames like i think its funny so i devised an elaborate scheme >:3 HESNSO SILLYYYYY AH. as for flaws im sure he has plenty i think he is kind of manipulative for drivign a wedge between towa n taku like that he also knows more thsn he lets on (points to the msnsion in fujiedas route) and im not sure why he kidnapped towa in the first place was it fro the drama or like .what. but i still love him those flaws aside and included sjfbsb i love him!!@ thats all!!!

Gathering my thoughts after Genshin's Fontaine Archon Quests

HEY THERE ARE SPOILERS HEREEEE

Partly why I disappeared from Tumblr and Twitter, running away from spoilers 💀💀💀 ig this post is mostly for me, to organize my thoughts I havE MANY OF THEM

But one nice thing I did was finish only one quest (not chapter or questline) per day before going to bed, all lights out. It was so comfy, I'm sure this'll be part of why playing them is being so memorable for me 😭😭😭 and the prison songs are such bangers, they made everything even better!!!!

But anyways, most important things first, arlECCHINO. SHE IS SO CORDIAL??? I mean not cordiaaal friendly, but like, super polite?? And calm and collected and all?? I honestly thought she was gonna be a bit insane, or at least that there would be something giving away some type of ulterior motive but..,, I got nothing?? She seems genuinely interested in saving Fontaine and cares for the kids, even if it's probs for self-interests first and foremost, maybe. She totally is very manipulative tho. Other thing I find funny about her is how she destroys anyone with her unforgiving words, while being calm and pretending she's kinda not doing it on purpose. Love that, you go queen 🥳🥳🥳🥳

The thing is, when I saw the guy in the first quest turning into water after saying something he shouldn't, I was "ARLCECCHINO WILL BE LIKE THAT FOR SURE", manipulating everyone, and if any slip-ups happen, she can just unalive them. That Lyney and Lynette could not give anything away or she would just poof them. But I don't know anymore, if it IS like that, she fooled me completely. But I mean, she could do whatever she wanted with me, I wouldn't mind 🥴🥴🥴🥴

So, I still think there could be something more at play. Maybe the gnosis is another key? But surely the nation ENDING seems like a more pressing matter, oh yes. Even then, everyone is sus. And I mean everyone.

By the way, Neuvillete, you think what "sentence" is too severe, huh 🤨🤨🤨??? who, whom what, why??? The first thing that popped into my mind was Celestia. If not the archon, they're the ones who can do things like that. BUT it doesn't seems like Fontaine is progressing so much for them to care? Especially with the alienated citizens and a kinda not thaaaAAT useful archon y'k..,, Though their tech do look like the most advanced from all the nations, even if that alone, at least for me, doesn't scream "reason to kill you all!! heavenly principles on you!!!" HoweVER turning everyone into water and ruining the nation do remember a bit Khaenrians(?) turning into monsters and losing their nation. Food for thought!!! Wish Neuve said a bit more. However it truly wouldn't be wise to go out there screaming "hey, the gods-gods wanna wipe us all out, no pressure tho 😉", so yeah.

AND Furina. What's with that poor child 😭😭😭? From the first moment she came in the screen I was like "man this girl has no idea what she's doing, does she...". In the court, her commentaries were just 💀💀💀 One that comes into mind is she thinking that finding a clue on Lyney's bag was concrete proof of his crime. My dear, that's the easiest thing to manipulate in the whole world, planting fake evidence. Don't go there thinking you revolutionized the universe !!!!!! And almost all her remarks where kinda like that. That you would deadpan and go "seriously, you really believe that's super clever?". Now that I know (do I??? I think I do at least??) it was on purpose I'm letting her slip. But the thing about her having a curse is pretty interesting. I think her eyes are pretty sus (even if a lot of charas have weird eyes and no explanation, like hu tao, arlecchino and keqing). Does she have a weird side, hm 🤔 but again, they showed no sign of this until now, so ???

About the ending... I still don't know if I think that's a dream or not. Is defs what traveler saw while dreaming but, remember in the beginning,,,,, Childe awakening "it"..,,, hearing voices..,, hydro powers..,,, his dream in the abyss seeing a whale while falling into the sea....,, Guess he's really Mr. Worldwide huh. Maybe he's more linked to Fontaine (or at least some fontaine being?) than we thought? I think the whale ended up saving him. But hey, breathing underwater??? Getting kinda busted, my man.

Hope the quests keep escalating until something mind-blowing happens. I can feel it 😤😤😤

Promises of

      A thousand things that she believes the Demon Prince to be, and a thousand times he proves her wrong.

     Promises of a painful, slow death is what she believes he’ll give her, but a radiant smile dispels her fears. With liquid ambrosia for eyes and vermillion-struck hair, she’s never seen someone so intimidating, so contrary.

     “I hope your year in the Devildom is a great one!” the stranger chirps, loud and booming, and friendly.

     “Thank you,” is all she manages.

     Promises of a scornful, prideful visage  is what she believes is his flair, but he bears no ill-will towards the hubris of humanity. A thousand lights splayed below the balcony, a gaze set onto the distant future, graced by the soft glow of hope, he tells her that he wishes for peace, more than anything.

     “Don’t all you demons despise us?” she piques and he laughs deeply, sonorous in the never ending darkness.

     “Maybe, but I,” and he turns to look at her with a gentleness that she’s never thought to find in a hell-spawned man, “I find human souls, flawed as they are, beautiful.”

     Promises of friendship is what she believes would be the farthest thing possible, but when he calls her in invitation to see the black roses blooming in his greenhouse, she finds that maybe, it isn’t the most far-fetched situation.

     “Look!” he exclaims excitedly, pointing towards a small bird, tufted in crimson, its winding onyx tail fluttering as it perches itself on the flower’s stem. “It’s a black-tailed canary. It’s a bird native to the Devildom.”

     “How pretty,” she comments, watching the bird fixate its beady eyes on her before it takes off into flight.

     Lord Diavolo chuckles beside her. “Seeing such lovely things up close really does lift my spirits,” he murmurs in awe, in wonder, underscored by a melancholia she can’t quite fathom.

     In response, she presses her hand on his shoulder, humming in agreement; he simply smiles.

     Promises of gold is what she believes would catch his fancy, but his curiosity lies in the fleeting moments caught in polaroids. From swirling pink blossoms to the grin of an aquarium’s beluga, to the cascading reds of a maple autumn and a white winter’s falling snow; he finds joy in all these.

     “This is my favourite,” he notes fondly and she leans over to look at the object of his attraction. It is the simple snapshot of a summer daybreak, the first light of dawn. “The sun never rises here in the Devildom, so I’ve always been curious about it. Your world’s truly blessed.”

     How the Underworld’s Prince is so much of an optimist, she’d probably never know, but it warms her to see him so full of life.

     When he passes the picture back to her, she shakes her head and, with more than a little uncertainty, presses her fingers against his hand.

     “Keep it,” she insists. “Consider it a gift for the hospitality you’ve shown me.”

     Promises of an uneventful night is a relatively easy feat, she believes, but the seven brothers prove her wrong when she’s crowned the guest of honour. They shower her with neatly wrapped gifts, words of gratitude and a group hug so earnest it moves her to tears.

     They take turns dancing with her tonight, seven brothers gliding through seven different musical pieces. Mammon steps up into a bold, thrilling hustle; Leviathan sways with unusual confidence in a jazzy foxtrot; Satan twirls her into a fittingly passionate tango; Asmodeus sweeps her around in an excelsior schottische; Beelzebub rounds a blustering, grinning quickstep; Belphegor drifts into a draping, dreamy carousel and Lucifer, unsurprisingly, leads her gracefully into a viennese waltz.

     What does surprise her, however, is when the Prince comes up to her, requesting her for a dance. “If you’re not too tired, of course.”

     She smiles and places her hand atop his, letting his fingers curl around hers. “No, it would be my honour,” is all it takes for him to capture her breath in a slow, seamless waltz that lasts a beat longer than it should.

     Promises of a shrinking distance isn’t what she foresaw, but he is insistent in having her company, which she, admittedly, isn’t too bothered about. He greets her jovially when he meets her in front of AkuDonald’s, dressed down in a maroon Oxford shirt and beige khakis, a pair of shades completing his look; she wonders if that’s his way of avoiding attention.

     As they both stand in line, he strikes up polite conversation, questioning her how she’s been, how her classes are going, how she’s finding RAD and the seven brothers, and she is, quite frankly, genuinely surprised by how much she’s come to enjoy the entire affair. He’s about to answer when they hit the front of the line, a tired looking demon snippily asking for their order.

     Like always, she goes for the fried shadow goose AkuBurger, the six-pack AkuGizzards and a blushberry slushie. He takes a little more time deciding, but eventually settles for the Hellfire DoubleAkuBurger and a Blackburn coffee before he insistently pays for their meal. Tipping her head down in thanks, she takes the tray and leads him towards a relatively private corner in the joint where he tucks into his lunch undisturbed.

     “Do you come here often?” he prompts and she shrugs, swallowing her food down.

     “Enough,” she responds. “The food here is generally safe for me to not die from.”

     He chuckles. “Not a fan of Devildom cuisine?”

     “Just not nearly as bold to eat something with ‘Double Poison’ tacked onto it,” she explains. Catching him eyeing her gizzards, she picks one up in between her fingers and offers it to him. “They’re good.”

     Leaning forward, without so much of a warning, he takes it from her hand with his teeth and she stiffens, embarrassed, unsure if he’s being serious or just messing with her, or if he’s just dense.

     “You’re right,” he answers, happily smiling as he licks his lips, “they are.”

     She tries not to think about it too hard, simply nodding in agreement before they pass the rest of the time with small-talk, light banter and the never-ending cringe of dad jokes so terrible she has to laugh at each one. Once they’ve finished and exited the premises, he thanks her for her time today, smiling as he always does.

     “I had a lot of fun,” she gladly admits, to which he hums, pleased.

     “I did, too,” he reciprocates and then, a little less playfully, a little more seriously, “If it’s alright with you, let me walk you home.”

     “You don’t -“

     “I want to,” he assures, insists. “I enjoy your company and I’d like us to spend more time together.”

     She warms at his boldness, more evident today than any other, at the way he tentatively reaches for her hand in consent, in invitation, and she accepts it with a nod. With a smile that crinkles his eyes and a careful hold, he leads her back to the House of Lamentation.

     Promises of constant contact is something she’s sure he isn’t one to keep, especially given his consistently packed schedule, but when she’s back in the Human World, her D.D.D rings most often with his name.

     He fills her days with updates on work, on Lucifer’s increasingly baggy eyes, lamenting at how much less bright the Devildom is without her.

     “You’re being dramatic,” she chuckles as she picks up a carton of eggs. “It’s not that bad.”

     “No, it is,” he implores with a huff. “The brothers miss you, including Lucifer, even if he denies it. Teasing him is no fun anymore,” he protests and she clicks her tongue at him. There’s a pause before a sigh, then, “I’m not being honest here.”

     “No?”

     “No,” he repeats; “I miss spending my time with you, I miss being able to see you, I miss talking to you in person. I miss you; I miss you a lot.”

     She runs her fingers through her hair and oh, fuck, he really shouldn’t spring these things onto her. She’s sure he can hear her heart over the phone when it’s this loud.

     Tightening her grip on the trolley’s handle, she responds with an, “I miss you, too.”

     Promises of staying away are best upheld because they’re the smarter option, the safer option, but when she’s back in the Devildom, she‘s compelled to see him again. Barbatos directs her to his study, knocking on the door before he leaves her by the room just as Lord Diavolo lets her in.

     The wind is knocked right out of her chest when he scoops her into a tight hug and she eases into his arms, burying her face into his chest. He smells faintly of warm spice and agarwood, of a familiarity she’s sorely longed for.

     “I’m glad you’re back,” he whispers, the hint of a tremble in his voice.

     “I am, too.”

     Promises of subtlety is a given, she believes, but he hasn’t much thought for it when he clasps a golden bracelet onto her wrist. It is a simple chain, studded with tiny opals, and much too lavish for someone who’s come here as an exchange student.

     “This is a little excessive, don’t you think?” she asks, raising a brow as she fiddles with the accessory, to which he frowns.

     “Do you not like it?” he inquires and she shakes her head.

     “No, I do,” she assures, and she really does. It’s a beautiful piece of jewellery, it’s just that, “I’m not quite sure if I’m so deserving of such things.”

     At that, he takes her hand, pulling her a little closer. “You are,” he affirms softly, gently lacing his fingers with hers. “Let me be a little selfish.”

     She chuckles. “You’re being selfish by giving me a gift?”

     “No,” he replies as he levels her with a crackling, sparking gaze and her heart skips a beat. “I’m being selfish because I want you to myself.”

     Promises of indulgence are what she believes to be a demon’s domain, but he simply holds her in his arms most nights, content with the simple pleasure of having her there with him, of talking to her, of hearing her say his name without the formalities.

     “You’re not anything like I thought a demon would be,” she muses as he hugs her tighter from behind, letting her head rest on the line of his shoulder.

     He chuckles, pressing his lips to hers sweetly, briefly. “No?”

     “I expected them to be a little more ...” she trails off in search for a word, then, “churlish.”

     “I can be,” he mumbles while he lazily nibbles at her ear, patterns kisses into her jaw and the exposed column of her neck. “I’m just being polite.”

     She hums. “Maybe.”

     “You don’t think so?”

     “No,” she responds with a peck to his cheek, hand coming up to the side of his head, pulling him closer against her. “I think you’re just a touch holy.”

     His skims her skin with tongue and teeth, breaths warm, chuckling as he does. “You’re bold to say that to the Prince of Hell.”

     Promises of a Lord unshaken is what she believes the demons see, but behind all the closed doors, he bares his vulnerability to her against the starless, perpetual nights.

     “Do you want to talk, Diavolo?” she asks. He’s silent for a moment before he offers his hand to her. She takes it and he pulls her to his side, letting his arm drape down to hold her at her waist.

     Overlooking the city sprawled under him, he sighs. “Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing the right thing,�� he confesses under his breath, the uncertainty wavering his voice. “I want peace between all the realms, but do they? Do my people?”

     "You don’t think they want that?”

     “We’re demons. War is within our very nature,” he states simply, pressing her a little closer to him. “A few of us are fallen angels, others human, but most demons were born here, and all of us are vengeful, resentful creatures,” he murmurs; she says nothing. “The fallen angels want nothing to do with the Celestial Realm, the human-turned-demons carry over their hate and the rest of us have just always had a taste for destruction.

     “For most of us, we’ve always felt like the two worlds looked at us with nothing but contempt. When Heaven smites an angel unruly, they’re punished into being a devil; when humans talk about eternal torture, we’re the very picture of it. Demons are a proud folk, we give back the respect we’ve been shown, but when everyone has only ever hated us, what is there to be but bitter? And the cycle keeps going, it has for the last thousands of centuries.”

     “I’m sorry,” is all she can offer and he chuckles.

     “Please, it’s alright,” he assures with a smile, though it’s wearied with the burdens of a leader. “I’m just ... wondering.”

     She isn’t sure what to say to him, if she can even comfort him. She’s no angel, or demon, and even as a human, she’s never been a particular occult; she’s just an exchange student who lacks understanding of the tension’s nuance.

     “Look, hey,” she starts, “I know I’m not the best person to say it, but your people respect you. They might squabble with Heaven or us humans, but they’ve put their trust in you; otherwise, in all honesty, I think they’d have just eaten me and Solomon alive.”

     He cracks a small, tiny smile at that.

     “You needed mutual agreement between all the realms for this exchange program, and you did it. If that tells me anything, it’s that they’re probably tired of all the fighting, too,” she surmises. He laughs, just barely, before he bends down to kiss her forehead, letting it linger.

     When he pulls away, he says, “Thank you, that helped.”

     “Did it?”

     He hums. “A little,” he responds, loosening his grip on her. “I need to be alone for a while, is that okay?”

     “Take all the time,” she answers. Placing a quick kiss onto his cheek, she turns on her heel and walks away. Comforting demon royalty isn’t something she’s good at, and maybe she never will be, but space? Space is something she can give him.

     Promises of ‘unto death do us part’ is tradition, the idea of a romance that spans the fire of life until it’s snuffed out by a swing of the scythe, but she believes that mortality is fickle to him. A being of a thousand years that will live on for a thousand more, and she fills in the mere potential century; a year for him is a decade for her.

     Yet here he is, knotting the string of his life to her in promise. “Make a pact with me,” he declares, bringing her hand up to his lips, kissing her knuckles as though she were royalty.

     Her breath hitches. “Diavolo.”

     “Let me be yours,” the demon pleads, yearns, longs and she’s a little taken aback by the openness of it all.

     “You don’t have to,” she says but he surges, drawing her in.

     “I want to,” he asserts, unyielding, though she’s still unconvinced.

     An act of binding. That’s what it means to be tied down to a contract, and she knows full well what the consequences are, for the both of them, should any of them trespass their terms. With the seven brothers, she did as the situation demanded, but with Diavolo, there’s absolutely nothing that warrants it.

     He seems to sense her unease, because he squeezes her hand, brings her closer. “It’ll be fine,” he assures; “Let me show you what you mean to me.”

     “I know where I stand with you,” she tells him as she raises a hand to cup his cheek.

     “Do you?” he asks in rhetoric, pressing his lips against her pulse, eyes locking onto hers. “You needn’t ask and I’d gladly give a century of my life for you, freely offer you my soul, and even if you love me less, leave me for a human, I’d regret none of it.”

     She swallows his words when he presses his lips to hers, wholly engulfed by the sincerity of it all. Gentle as always, tender as always, and none of the demon she’d thought he’d be, his hand coming up to caress her face. He leaves her lightheaded, breathless, forehead touching hers, the warmth between them near unbearable.

     “I trust you, utterly and entirely; let me show you that I do,” he murmurs and she clasps her hands behind his neck, her lips hovering above his.

     “Nothing I say will change your mind, will it?”

     He chuckles. “I’m afraid not.”

     Promises of sacrifice and loyalty, they aren’t taken lightly by the laws of a contract, but he pledges himself anyway, so readily and so staunchly she almost falters.

     In reverence, he traces the mark - his mark - that runs from her shoulder and coils around her arm, marvelling at the sight of it. “Was it painful?” he asks as he glances to her, worry underscoring his words.

     She shrugs and offers him a smile in hopes it’ll reassure him. “Nothing I couldn’t handle.”

     Leaning in to thumb a kiss to her clavicle, he chuckles low. “Sometimes I forget you’ve made pacts with the seven strongest demons here,” he says and the pride in his voice makes her chest swell.

     “Eight,” she corrects while she cards her fingers through his hair, trailing the curl of his horns, eliciting a quiet, pleased hum from him.

     “Eight,” he repeats in satisfaction before he lifts his head up to meet her and she, emboldened, enraptured, captures his lips in fervour.

     Agarwood and warm spice, she drinks the taste of him, smoky lapsang and carbon ashen. He spills her name into her mouth, once more into the spellbound night when she punctures a soft bite into the juncture of his neck, a hymnic praise that makes her feel nothing less of otherworldly. He almost - almost - whines when she pulls away, chuckling as she does.

     Under her, he’s nothing short of breathtaking, with topazes for eyes and vermillion hair, and dark skin marked by black, steeped in gold. Triangular patterns of red hiss around his throat, the newly formed pact pulsing with magic and she trails her fingers across them, enamoured.

     “You’re beautiful,” she finds herself professing and he lets out a quiet laugh, Adam’s apple bobbing under her touch, the sound reverberating.

     “I’m all yours,” he surrenders and she’s touched, honoured by the sincerity of his proclamation. “I will be until you say I no longer am.”

     “And I, yours,” she promises before she laces her fingers with his and kisses him once more.

Hello. Have you ever made a character's backstory for a fanfiction--because canon doesn't provide one--but when you started writing the fic, the backstory was still a vague idea? But you proceeded to sprinkle hints of the said backstory throughout the chapters, while only having a vague idea about it; and now when you actually get to sit down and flesh it out, you realized that the hints don't actually make sense when connected? And you have?? published the fic so you can't rewrite them??

I know I prob making little sense,, and I shouldn't have done what I've done, but do you have an advice about it? I'm so sorry, I know this is something the perpetrator has to figure out herself, but I'm having a minor (dramatic) meltdown and I guess I need another writer's insight ;_; So sorry again and thanks in advance

well hey!!! i’m always happy to ramble on and hope it helps, haha!!! oh man, don’t worry - you’re making perfect sense, and hooooo boy, i have ABSOLUTELY been there before! (the joy of writing for characters canon doesn’t pay enough attention to, huh? ;P) here’s what i’ll say upfront: PLEASE don’t feel meltdown-worthy over this! you are so, so good.

i know it feels like you can’t, but if the problem feels big enough to you, hey, who says you can’t rewrite what you’ve already published? i know it FEELS like we can’t, because aw man, already hit submit and everything...but if it’s really, REALLY bugging you, there’s absolutely 0 shame in making some rewrites/edits and then just sticking a note onto the fic! “hey guys, if you read this before it might look a little different now, but i made a few changes to better reflect [x]’s backstory!” or something like that. but if you’d really rather not rewrite, that’s totally understandable too!

here’s how i look at it when i find myself dealing with a situation like this - sometimes (read: a lot of the time) characteristics/traits/events in our lives, as real people, sometimes don’t really fit together either!!! now, i was a super goth/emo kid who won homecoming, so maybe i’m a little biased when it comes to that belief, but...lol. even if the things you’re talking about are COMPLETE opposites, even if they couldn’t POSSIBLY fit together (super simplified example: they say they grew up in france at one point, but then later say they grew up in florida), you can spin it in such a way that that just informs the character’s personality more! maybe they’re a big ol’ fibber! maybe they’re comically forgetful! maybe they have ulterior motives...the possibilities are there!!

those little hints that you’ve had in your head, the ones you’ve been sprinkling into the story, whether or not they connect (right now), they’ve been in your head for a reason! maybe when you look at them in your published fic currently, they don’t quite gel together, but you had those ideas about that character for a reason, whatever it might’ve been, so hey! they belong there!!! at the end of the day, i’m a firm believer in the idea that everything you write - every single thing!!! mistakes and all!!! - is for a reason. which sounds like some hippy-dippy bs, right? but i mean it! just because the little pieces of your backstory don’t link up perfectly right now doesn’t mean you won’t be struck by inspiration on how to fit them together later, but even if they don’t, they felt right to you to begin with, right enough to include the first time around, so who’s to say they NEED fixing? ;)

𝐢.  i’ll  be  writing  it  up  probs  this  saturday  but  in  zel’s  mindhunter  verse  she’s  an  ex  fbi  agent  dismissed  from  the  service  because  she  was  set  up  for  a  string  of  r*pes  and  m*rders  against  five  young  women.  the  men  who  set  her  up  were  her  bosses,  one  of  which  is  the  father  of  the  real  criminal.  they  thought  setting  up  an  openly  gay,  proud  woman  would  be  an  easier  task  because  of  all  that  rampant  h*mophobia  goin’  on  in  the  seventies.  and  it  was.  they  paid  off  people,  including  the  media.  they  forged  forensic  evidence.  victim  statements.  witness  statements.  leaked  misinformation  to  the  press  so  that  they  would  talk  about  it.  american  people  were  outraged.  her  arrest/trial  was  everywhere.  on  the  radio,  the  papers,  the  tele.  she  was  hated  -  to  the  point  where  she  was  receiving  death  threats  by  the  dozen.  daily.

𝐢𝐢.  she’s  sentenced  and  put  into  a  women’s  prison.  haven’t  worked  out  the  kinks  yet  but  she  is  released  after  several  years  (  probably  due  to  one  good  soul  in  the  fbi  breaking  the  silence  on  the  whole  sordid  job  and  proving  that  it  wasn’t  zelda.  it  couldn’t  be  zelda  ).  they  have  no  choice  but  to  release  her.  but  they  do  it  quietly.  perhaps  a  little  too  quietly,  almost  like  someone  paid  them  to  keep  it  low  key.  zelda  is  free,  but  with  no  job,  little  money,  and  no  family  left,  she  struggles  to  live  day  to  day.  finds  a  shitty  apartment  somewhere  in  virginia.  close  enough  to  quantico.  she’s  hellbent  on  catching  the  asshole  who  really  committed  the  murders,  but  she  can’t  do  it  so  brazenly  or  she  risks  getting  put  back  in  prison.  or  worse,  silenced  for  good.  she  obsesses  over  it  because  it  is  the  only  thing  in  her  life  that  she  has  left.  eventually  she  starts  to  aid  wendy  carr  (  and  co.  )  with  investigations  into  the  minds  of  serial  killers  with  the  initial  ulterior  motive  to  gain  fbi  intel  on  james  arlington,  who  she  knows  to  be  the  real  man  behind  the  murders.

k, so as many of you are already aware:

so, I have trash children. rhett, is one of them.

rundown:

- he started ruining society in ‘97. born in edison, nj to megayn and clifford mccormick. his mom is the chief of police and his dad is a college professor/mathematician. (we’re here for the feminism)

- his first word was ‘no’ and it is still the most prominent word in his vocabulary, today... I mean, next to every curse word known to man. anyway, he had ODD and would basically be defiant due to this deep rooted hatred when it comes to power. this comes from the fact that his parents would always be at each other’s throats and thought that /they/ knew what was best more than the other in situations. basically, the household was a huge cock show everyday and they would take out their frustration in the marriage out on rhett and just.... blah

- his ODD only drew the household further apart, cause he was always getting in trouble which resulted in more arguments. one of his most notorious acts of deviancy was when a kid took his blue crayon, and said kid had a peanut allergy..... and rhett.... brought a peanut butter sandwich, nutter butters, an uncrustable and snack n go packs with peanut butter as the dip to school..... it was kindergarten.. before that, he got into a lot of physical altercations in preschool and most of it was because he was frustrated that no one could really understand him (speech impediment ). he..... jumped around different schools due to being kicked out.

- as he got older, he only grew smarter. he started throwing other kids under the bus, coming up with solid alibis. basically he was an evil genius before he hit the age of 10. it didn’t help that his mother taught him little things here and there cause of her profession. so, he can read people fairly well. this helps him scope out individuals who are naive, but also find everyone’s weaknesses to later use against them for his enjoyment.

- out of both his parents, he spent the most time with his mother cause he’d wind up at the police station a couple times a week. at this point, his parents gave up on actually punishing him. his parents just stopped addressing the issue and each other altogether, only really speaking in small talk that ended in seconds. this actually took a toll on rhett and was a fuel to kind of continue getting in trouble with the law; cause the only sign of anyone caring for him was his mom picking him up from the station. oh.

- he always had a preference for older women... like quite literally a mother fucker. he has a friend back home whose mother and him had a secret relationship for the longest time. uh, the preference obvi goes into the power problem and mommy issues. anyway, he met this girl in high school. she was newer like just moved to the area and he was like o_o and next thing you know she was bugging him everyday (basically she just wanted to get to know him and he was like FUCK OFF). uh, one day she just stopped coming around and he was like BUT WHERE DID SHE GO? so yeah, he caught feelings and put her on this pedestal.

- everything was fine cause like, ya know, his parents didn’t care but she did. uh, they started causing mayhem together, but she also wound up making him think twice about his actions. he actually didn’t want to go to university, but meeting her made him want to better himself. 

- uhhhh so the day the world ended for rhett, it was march 8, 2015. the story goes it was rainy af and he was just curled up on the couch with his girl. they got into a fight over the most stupid thing. basically, she wanted to go to UCLA and he was like SO YOU’RE LEAVING ME? cause trauma, he made it seem like he didn’t care. uh, the fight got p ugly I will not go into specifics. basically it just ended with her leaving the house and the next thing he knew was he flicked on the tv and she died in a car accident. so like ohp.

- basically the police arrested rhett for it because they found that the car was tampered with, and who else to blame but the delinquent boyfriend. this marked the loss of caring from his parents, seeing that his mother didn’t come to pick him up or bail him out this time. uh, he knows it wasn’t his fault via tampering with the car - but he blames himself for the accident cause ‘I should’ve cared more. I should’ve been supportive. I shouldn’t have said the shit I did.’ 

- he wound up avoiding any jail time cause the officers who cuffed him didn’t read him his rights and blahblahblah not enough evidence blahblahblah.

- he kinda just threw a dart at the map and picked up and left edison to come to chicago in order to start fresh. the scenery was just bland back at home, he had no family, and basically he killed the only person he cared about? I mean, and the whole town thought he was a murderer so... 

- now rhett is the hotel’s asshole waiter. if he isn’t high at work, he’s probs spitting in people’s food. like... a mess. 

- he keeps people at a serious distance, thinks nice people have ulterior motives, likes to feel the rain. he looks up to banksy, and gets his emotions out through being a vandal. he’s always going into an encounter either for his own gain, or just for amusement. he’s sarcastic, a memelord, and his favorite form of protection is putting a Pokemon card on the bedside table. he likes sushi and burgers. he also no longer has a speech impediment but stutters when nervous (rare). he likes being called Rhett or Everett. Em is an off-the-table nickname cause his gf called him that. he has isssuuuuessss but like not as many as what he has in his comic book collection. uh, he loves skateboarding cause he grew up on Tony Hawk and the video games. Stereotypical Leo, and he’s proud. Will 10/10 try to son/daughter zone you. Currently one step ahead of his demons, but it’s a tricky game.

Zak Tarot Card Reading 8/15/19

Disclaimer: I date all my readings that I write down as tarot is a guide and not written in stone so every person has their own free will to change events. Every tarot card reader interprets their cards slightly differently. While most decks have the same general meaning- liberties are taken in interpretation as far as verbiage etc. Please take this reading with a grain of salt.I do not follow common tarot spreads and instead pull cards until I feel it’s right (I come from a long line of sensitives-I’m a freak I know!). I asked a very general question and got a relatively general reading: Why is Zak the way he is?

5 of cups- Usually a loss of a person or situation- “Crying over spilt milk”- still emotionally destroyed by said loss when there is no going back.

Queen of Wands- Usually represents an actual person- in this case I believe it to be Zak’s Grandma as she was a very important person in his life. The Queen is an inspiring, encouraging character. Wants to see you at your best but won’t put up with BS if you want to throw a pity party. Will be your biggest supporter if you thrive to succeed.

10 of Pentacles (reversed)- A financial disaster- instability especially in the sense of a career. 

3 of cups (reversed)- Backstabbing- growing apart from friends, people close to you may be starting rumors to sabotage you

10 of swords- Betrayal or Backstabbing- the finality of a situation. May try to play the victim in the situation for attention. This is generally not a good card no matter how you look at it. 

10 of cups- Harmony and happiness in family relationships. This card confused me because of how the reading has been going, but it can actually mean family and not love relationships. It can be family reunions or celebrations etc. (this could be something forthcoming)

Knight of cups- Generally a person who is in love with the idea of love but never able to stay constant. Moved by trends and interests. Believes they love but they don’t. In this sense I actually believe this to be Holly. If we look at her track record it makes sense. (especially since in my deck she is female)

5 of swords- Manipulation- others in the game aren’t playing fair (Holly manipulating Zak?)

Hanged Man-With the 5 of swords present- this card is representative of a traitor- someone who is screwing with him. (cough*cough)

Knight of swords- Looking for someone to blame for his irritation. Attitude of righteousness, jumps easily to conclusions, he shoots first, asks questions later and is therefore often guilty of overkill.

Knight of pentacles (reversed)- Stuck in a rut, stagnant, situation not progressing….

8 of pentacles (reversed)- going about things the wrong way, leading to frustration 

Temperance (reversed)- Imbalance- seeking gratification from risky behaviors (hmmmmm?), lack of harmony with those around you

Strength (reversed)- letting fear, anxiety or low self-esteem paralyze you (could be his apparent fear of flying limiting shooting locations OR something deeper?)

King of wands - Again this card represents an actual person to which I believe is Zak himself. This card is someone who is usually a fire sign (Zak is an Aries) egotistical and loves flattery and praise. Loves to put on a show when he knows it will be noticed (Giving $100 bills to homeless), but wants to be served and adored in private, he can make your life wonderful if he likes you or hell if he doesn’t. Can be self-centered, hot-tempered and controlling

2 of cups (reversed)- Lack of harmony in relationship- trouble in paradise

4 of wands- partnership- can mean celebration. CAN MEAN MARRIAGE (though not with the 2 cups reversed so prob not him personally… maybe Aaron and Lolita? lol)

6 of pentacles (reversed)- Someone with ulterior motives. They want what you can give them (a leg up). Their love or attention is conditional (strings attached) Can represent being conned. (This is NOT a good relationship card either)

10 of wands (reversed)- beating a dead horse- feeling burdened with a situation that has met its end or needs a break (also not a good relationship card)

The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson

Summary

The Bird King is a 2019 fantasy novel set in 1491, the novel takes place in the Emirate of Granada during the territory’s final days. The story concerns the flight of Fatima and Hassan, a concubine and mapmaker, respectively, from service to the Emirate’s last sultan. (Taken from Wikipedia)

We follow Fatima and Hassan on their search for the Bird King as they avoid soldiers of the Spanish inquisition, and meet a variety of characters along the way.

Overall: The Bird King is an amazing book that manages to be complex yet light-hearted. It touches on subjects like faith, love, and friendship. The characters are engaging (and absolute drama queens) and the plot is fast-paced so there’s never a dull moment. The dynamic between the characters leads to the funniest situations that will have you dying. In summary, reasons to read this book if you haven’t already:

The Good: 

→ Hassan and Fatima’s Relationship

Geena: The best thing about the bird king (aside from the horse named Stupid) was Hassan and Fatima’s friendship. IMO it was so wholesome and they were so in love (PLATONICALLY!!!!). When Hassan said seeing Fatima walking around was like seeing his heart outside his body…… a BITCH DIED!!! Also, the fact they would take shots at each other constantly? Loved it. HOW COULD I FORGET… HASSAN CONSTANTLY BEING HORNY AND FATIMA BEING LIKE “CAN U CHILL!”  

Kae: OKAY MOOD LMAOOO. So boom. Geena covered it. We love this book! Hassan and Fatima are the definition of the 💯 emoji. But these bestie-bitches are DRAMATIC af. I’ve never seen two best friends who love each other as much as they do. They’re hugging and crying one moment, then the next they’re jealous that one of them is talking to someone else. DRAMATIC. I love it. Have we talked about Gwenny and Stupid yet?  

Geena: WE HAVEN’T TALKED ABOUT THEM, the perfect accessories to the Hassan-Fatima duo. Gwen is the token white boi, there for Hassan to thirst over and Fatima to learn how to sail a ship. Stupid on the other hand…. God bless that horse all it did was drown and then LIVE!!!! The absolute legend.  BUT Kae HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE GWEN AND STUPID? HMMM

Gwen: I only love God

Also Gwen: *sleeps with Fatima on the deck of the ship while Hassan is 3 feet away* 

Kae: Well... Gwennec. Ol’ Gwenny Gwen Gwen. Gwen, the Monk who FUCKS. PAHAAHA. Gwen was a new Monk who was at first, totally against helping our favorite bestie-bitches. But Fatima was all “Don’t test me white boi I will kick ya ass.” And Gwen lowkey thought it was hot so he let them slide. He taught Fatima and Hassan how to sail while Hassan made googly eyes at him and definitely wanted to tap that. But, as previously stated, Fatima and Gwen got it ooonnn.  Hassan found out and as like “Fa, I can’t believe you slept with my husband who doesn’t know we’re married yet!”,  and that was basically that.. Then we have Stupid. The horse who was just as damn stupid as his name. The horse lived to spite the Grim Reaper just to prove it would breathe another day. We also haven’t mentioned our Jinn friend and their literal lifesaver/guardian angel, Vikram.  

Geena: VIKRAM, aka another dude/djinn/dog man that Hassan wanted to fuck but couldn’t :( Vikram was essentially the only one in the group that had a substantial amount of brain cells, and spent most of the time trying to make sure Fatima didn’t accidentally kill herself. The fact that he saw his death and it was in the arms of a “beautiful woman” should sum up his character really well. 

Kae: Geena is sooo right. Vikram was the only one with brain cells because Fatima and Hassan both shared two. Our loveable, dramatic, but also a little dimwitted faves wouldn’t have survived any of their adventure without Vikram. He lead them through a Jinn filled tunnel that Hassan made. Escorted them across the land with the Inquisition right on their asses, and fought off whoever tried to hurt them. Initially, he agreed to save them because of a debt he owed to Fatima’s Sultana. But in the end, Vikram helped them because he wanted to. He was a weirddog/man/Jinn who just wanted Fatima and Hassan to stop being dumbasses for five seconds. But they couldn’t so he was constantly annoyed and probs wanted to eat them to shut them up. BUT WE STAN THAT FURRY LEGEND BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, OUR ESCAPEES WOULD BE DEAD-EEE. Also he was one suave, smooth talking mofo and I feel like if he walked up to you and said “You’re lovely, but you’re an idiot. It’s okay, because you’re pretty tho.” that compliment sandwich would go right over your head and you’d thank him.  

Geena: ok FIRST OFF I would be like “why do you have a tail” but god Kae you hit all the points. 

The Bad AND The Ugly

→ The Sultan and His Mom Being Pedos 

Geena: Ok so, Fatima is 17 and I’m assuming the Sultan was in his mid-thirties, because he has kids Fatima’s age 👀. So I am sure it was historically accurate, the fact that the old ass man had a 17 year old concubine, but that doesn’t make it any less gross!!!! What’s worse is that Fatima’s mom was originally a slave for the sultan, so when she was born the sultan’s mom raised her and had her instated as a concubine when she was 15!!!!!! Scuse me while I 🤮. 

Kae: Yea, Geena said it all. The Sultan was ewww. Fatima was his favorite and I guess he talked to her like she wasn’t a concubine? She was treated very well. For a concubine. Probably better than any concubine I’ve read about Like, she had rights and could talk shit without punishment. But still, DISGUSTEEENNNG. Our girl was groomed so we do NOT stan the Sultan. 

→ Luz

Kae: we also have our main villain, Luz. She arrived at their palace to play peaceful, but she had ulterior motives that involved her spreading the word of the LORDT and taking Hassan in to be tried for Witchcraft and all that magic shit. Because if we didn’t say it before, Hassan can draw anything on a map and make that place a reality. Luz has this little worm in her eye that basically makes her super weirdly strong and badass. But fuck Luz. When Fatima finds out that Hassan is to be tried for witchcraft, she goes to him so they can both escape. Fatima wants to be free and she doesn’t want to see her bestie die. So what do they do? They dip. And now our friends are on the run. 

Geena: UGH Yes, can I just say the moment that Fatima realized that Hassan would get canned she was like “fuck all these people” and peaced out with Hassan? Friendship goals… But yes LUZ!! I enjoyed reading her as a villain because she genuinely thinks she’s a good person and that her life’s mission is to “Save” people like Fatima from people like Hassan. You really end up liking her in the beginning, and then she turns around and murders a few people and you’re like…. Ah…… i see….. aND THEN it turns out she was being controlled by some brainworm that was also trying to get to the Bird King and you kind of wonder…. How much of what Luz did was her being a violent inquisitor and how much was the worm controlling her… you kno? She redeems herself by dying, so I guess she gets…. Like one (1) right. 

Kae: Damn girl! Well said!!! LITCHERALY that is a perfect summary of Luz’s character. I can’t say anything else because it’s been SAID.  Villains are always interesting when they don’t see themselves as the bad guy. They’re righteous and unforgiving because they believe they are doing the right thing. That’s what scary about them. 

Conclusion 

Kae: Okay, so in conclusion. This is an amazing book and in all honesty, I enjoyed the hell out of it. I was never bored reading it. Hassan, Fatima, and Vikram had quite the adventure and all the dramatics of made it that much more enjoyable. They left the palace in hopes of freedom. Hassan and Fatima got the idea of The Bird King from a story they liked to read, but never knew the ending. So they continued the story on their own, making it up along the way. In hopes of escaping their new fate to Luz and the Inquisition, Hassan drew up a map to the Bird King in hopes to find it. Their journey took them to meet Gwennec who sailed them to said island, where they discovered used to be inhabited long, long ago. Soon, others began to show up on the island. Hassan even got him a MANS. A DOCTOR. Whew. He’s got taste. The island is also forever changing and some of the remaining inhabitants are Jinn. 

Geena: Kae summarized the story really well!!! The journey to the end was an absolute trip, but G. Willow Wilson tied up the story neatly. We get to see Fatima become less dependent on Hassan (thanks to his doctor bf who told her to chill out) and Hassan finally find the happiness he deserves. Gwen, unfortunately, doesn’t make it to the end (press F to pay respect). Luz essentially sacrifices herself by taking the map Hassan drew, getting off the island, and ripping it up. Why does she do this? Because to make a place or passage Hassan drew disappear the map has to be ripped. And leaving the map to the island wasn’t an option because the Spanish inquisition never stops!!

XPECIALLY FATIMA NEVER HAVING WALKED SO FAR BEFORE AND BEING A BIG OL BABY. but she DIIIID have messed up shoes that blistered so I’ll give her that BUT YES HASSAN WAS A DRAMA QUEEN “waaah, I have red hair and im pale BUT I'M STILL HOT AND I LIKE TO F U C K” But yeah, Luz got voted off the island and voted herself off the island, ripped up the map, and then they were safe and lived happily ever after. Vikram even made his final appearance to say his goodbyes to Fatima, even though he hates goodbyes. I give this book a 10/10. It was funny, the characters were likeable and relatable, and it was just a good adventure read.

open your heart for the finale of faiz

i dont know why i did this to myself again, watching another inoue rider, after how much kiva made me boil. i think faiz frustrated me more than kiva tbh, you cant really change up kiva since it was soap-opera-ish in its presentation. 

however faiz??? like you could of done SO MUCH more with it’s characters and it just fails.... yuka especially, she was the most interesting orphnoch for the fact that she gave into the killing and yet was still attached to her human self. You could of have her resembled teruo’s mother and shown the complications between yuka’s own relationship with her family and this new one with also dealing with teruo’s grief... instead of having teruo pull yuka skirt up or even when he was shown to be the sleeping king, you could of had the ‘resembles mother trope’ happen too, but we didnt get that...

kaido as well, like i got his character, the type who runs away from himself and growth (for what happened to him), but i just didnt like him, making his shitty actions and attitude play in a comedic light just sucks, i cannot take this fragile man seriously, i just think he has ulterior motive for everything does when he doesnt.   

^this seriousness and self awareness is what i wished he expressed more than that episode and the god tier episodes (7&8) and few later ones. kaido’s inner emotions are interesting!! USE THEM!!!! ive said it before, i felt like he just wanted the righteousness from others to help him become a better person than he was b4 he became an orphnoch (even when its shown he still has that when he saved teruo and felt guilt when he didnt save his parents) he dared to keep his humanity when he was the most likely to throw it away 

i love yuji, i love characters like him, characters who get the the most awful roll of the dice in life. parents die in car crash, he awakes from a coma to find his gf stopped visiting him and is now dating his cousin who’s family terminated his father company leaving him with literally nothing (and no one was there when woke up), they even talked behind his back how him waking up from his coma is bothersome now... and!!! throughout the show he is hunted and is “betrayed” then has his close friend murdered by humans (or so he thinks) and i know he still tries to love humans, but ultimately... even in his evil phase he still is human.

god takumi... is the best huh, his character arc is some of- if not, the best ive seen in kr. a really solid built up from hearing how little self confidence he has, to seeing why he feels that way and his growth from it, he’s up there with my personal favs: eiji and shinji.

anyways, monster designs were sick, i love mr. j, takuma (the monster not the man), and murakami’s the most.

“They obviously came to meet me through Hyung” and he sprints off at top speed with Seungmin hot on his heels screaming bloody murder

“Please take care of him, y/n” Chan says quietly while the other boys guffaw at the two youngest’s behavior. “He really likes you”

And that’s exactly what you do

You guys have got each others back

No matter what

Someone tries to offend you in any way, shape or form 

And he’s there in front of you like a human shield ready to fight 

If he gets sick you’re there as quick as a flash with everything he needs, all the way from cold remedies to recipes for hot soup

While you’re making sure he’s not burning up, he’ll just whisper

“Can I just cuddle you? I swear I won’t sneeze on you”

So you just lie there holding each other the entire day

He keeps his promise and doesn’t sneeze on you btw

When you’re sick, he’s not gonna know what the hell to do

Lost puppy 

He’ll run around trying to find the right meds for you (he’ll take the time to read each label to make sure it’s the right one)

He’ll try to make soup it doesn’t work

But after a while he’ll calm down and sit with you to watch something on TV

Apologising that he couldn’t make your fav meal 

Makes up for it by buying takeout

He can sometimes feel down about the day

Something might have happened at the fansign/performance, he might feel really tired and fed up with work

So it’s your job to be there and comfort him 

You just wrap your arms around him and sit with his head on your shoulder 

And he cries silently with you, grateful that you’re with him 

Guess who’s emo while writing this

Sometimes days can get bad enough that he starts to shut you out all-together 

Seungmin isn’t the direct type 

He isn’t gonna start an argument because he’s stressed 

He’s gonna avoid any kind of conflict 

So he avoids you, ignores you, refuses to talk to you when he’s too upset 

Because he doesn’t want to lash out and hurt you 

But he’ll notice when he does this that it actually does hurt you 

Almost more than an argument would 

Because you want to help 

And he won’t let you 

So he’ll eventually come to talk to you, his head bowed and eyes glimmering with tears 

And he’ll just hug you, asking for you to forgive how stupid he can be 

RIGHT back to fluff because I don’t want to cry rn 

He loves to teach you to sing his parts in every song 

He feels you can understand his work better and be closer to him 

You two will end up sometimes randomly singing his part in a song at the top of your lungs in the dorm, in turn pissing off the rest of the boys 

You’ll both have singing competitions: who can sing the highest, lowest, longest, or most dramatically 

And you both end up collapsing from laughing too hard 

He’s gonna try to speak English around you 

Just so he can practice 

Have you heard his awesome accent during ASC that is a yes from me I don’t want to forget that 

He might ask you for help but he’s mostly too stubborn and proud to so he’ll struggle for a while until you ask if he wants a helping hand 

“Hey, need help for the pronunciation, there?” 

“Nope! Nope it’s fine! I’m fine! Toooootally fine” :D 

You two like trying to learn new recipes to cook for the rest of SK 

It’s actually super fun 

And you both manage to make a few dishes without setting the dorms on fire *applause* 

And you make breakfast for them too: fried eggs! now I’m really hungry aw man 

And the boys are already teasing you talking about how you’re couple goals and how well you two go together 

Making the both of you sprint back into the kitchen, giggling like children

Seungmin is gonna ask you to meet his family first 

But it doesn’t scare you that much 

For a good reason:

He’s an angel, so he must have been raised by angels logic

You meet them and they melt when they see you 

You chat, they share pictures of Seungmin when he was little he’s gonna be close to crying from embarrassment because “COME ON YOU JUST MET” 

His sister adores you 

Tells you about the pranks she’s pulled on her poor bro in the past 

Which warrants a death glare from Seungmin 

All in all his fam are your fam because they love you as much as they love Seungmin 

He’s a lot A LOT more nervous about meeting your parents 

He’s pretty damn close to fainting when the day to meet up comes 

Pale as sheet istg 

So you gotta be there for him to cling onto like a baby koala 

Save this boy I beg of you

Nearly hides behind you when he first greets your parents 

Basically leaps out of his skin every time someone raises their voice even a little bit 

But he gets a little calmer after a while 

And starts to genuinely smile and laugh 

By the end of the day he’s a happy squish with no sign of nervousness

In the evenings he likes to buy a crap-ton of snacks and sit with you to binge watch your fav show

Half the time they don’t get at all what happens between you two lmao 

When Stray Kids are away, Seungmin’s gonna want to FaceTime you whenever he’s free 

He’s a pouty boy who misses you senseless and forgets how to function like a proper human being when you’re not around 

SK are having to tell him specifically what to do every other minute because he keeps daydreaming about when he gets to see you again smh 

He’s gonna be so.freakin.hyper on the way back from wherever the boys were 

No one wants to sit next to him on the plane because they know all he’s gonna want to do is talk about you 

And they get enough of that on a regular basis anyway 

But they’re happy at how energetic he is when they land and he can finally see you

ok slightly unhinged anxiety abt fandoms/being online below. “slightly unhinged” bc it’s irrational anxiety to have not like it’s anything batshit crazy fyi. i’m sorry i have nowhere else to post this bc i am not writing abt this on main, putting this on a twitter thread, nor speaking abt it to my therapist despite having a call in the next hour bc i’m still to embarrassed to talk abt weeb/online stuff w them rn

i’ve been kind of low mood since this morning. i first found out an a/3 translator i follow on twt is in contact with and/or friends with another translator who i know ships b/ntm, and i didn’t really consciously respond at the time other than w dull disappointment but then i felt uneasy being on twt after that and it’s prob bc i’m like eh abt the 1st translator bc of their connection w the b.ntm shipper and i’m still anxious enough abt that ship that i get in a bad mood whenever it comes up even in passing or literally barely indirectly like this. i mean it shouldn’t be a big deal, bc (1) the 1st translator has never listed what they ship in a/3 (if any) so they could very well have been shipping invalid ships this entire time and i just never knew, but also (2) just bc you ship a pairing doesn’t mean you necessarily discuss it w all the ppl you contact in a fandom. and they’re both (good imo) translators so good to have someone to compare notes to.

but it just makes me feel meh bc i’m already eh abt the other translator despite knowing their (understandable as a fan) sometimes ulterior motives for translating some content and now i’m like man. ANOTHER translator to be side eyes about ?? it’s not like they put their shipping googles on when they translate tho unlike another (a 3rd diff one in this post) translator i’ve seen. and even if both of these translators ship b/ntm they talk abt it on separate accounts (the confirmed b/ntm translator does. idk abt the 1st translator and i didn’t dig into their main twt) so technically they do keep it away from non-shippers. and there are worse things to not be friends w someone over slash these are not even ppl i know personally, but man. it still bothers me a little. i feel like i’m getting a little better in my gut response to the ship and i prob should talk abt it in therapy but man i don’t understand ppl who are comfortable discussing it bc i still have some embarrassment/shame associated w being a weeb “publicly” even though i’m not into shady shit like loli secretly or whatever. even just telling them i’m on tumblr was so cringe lmao... i’m p sure they know what fandoms are bc they also see young patients but man. i still find it embarrassing to say that i like or even partake in that kind of stuff (fandoms, tumblr) like drawing fanart. anyway that’s a whole other can of worms (?) but yeah back to twt.

so i was scrolling on twt to kind of like forget abt the whole translator social network debacle and i started reading up on the controversy/recent events w princess mako in japan and wow reading both sides’ takes on the issue is so tiring... like there’s ppl who completely romanticize it being like aw hehe she gave up her status for love but then there’s other side who’s like yeah we’ve been against the marriage bc the guy is kinda shady and she deserves better. i mean personally wouldn’t wholly romanticize it when i tbh don’t know the full story and literally just learned abt the relationship today but also i’m weak to romance so i would just like to believe they do genuinely love each other as individuals... and like good for her for getting out of what is prob a really stifling situation w all the public scrutiny and attention but also it’s fucked how only the royal women lose their status when marrying a non-royal... basically just a ton of mixed feelings. and that kind of news spiral is partially why i took like a 2-month break from twt bc seeing those news stories can be so depressing either bc of the news content itself or seeing ppl’s takes on it or both. so yeah i just feel bad now. btw don’t ask me abt the princess mako stuff or my opinion bc idk tbh, plus it also brings in opinions on how japan’s current political sys works and i know there are STRONG opinions on that online and this is a fucking manga/BL review blog not current events/political blog. i just hope that the relationship works out bc if it fails ... bruh she cannot return to japan. she would be a social pariah fr and that sucks so bad to think abt

Things I need to touch on from Restore Me Pt. 2

I said that i would probs come up with more and make a part 2 and here i am lmao let’s gooooo

- Warner speaks seven languages??? omg yasss. like i already knew that warner was very intelligent but SEVEN??? dang. kinda makes me wonder what kind of education he got when he was younger. i. need. to. know. 

- Juliette’s diary entries are back. I think i have a relatively good idea as to why Tahereh did this, to embellish on Juliette’s ever-changing character and development. it’s smart and an efficient way of connecting the new books to the old ones but idk how i feel about it. honestly I feel like juliette is headed down a dark path and I’m lowkey scared for her. 

- speaking of which, I feel like Juliette really has the potential for a villian arc. I don’t know, with the way Tahereh is growing and changing her character, and the obvious prescence of her darker side, I feel like she definitely has potential. And this might sound bad but I lowkey want to see it happen. At the same time, I don’t want my bby to go evil and be bad but at the same time it would be kind of interesting to watch occur. idk don’t judge

- the ending. that cliffhanger. she got kidnapped by her parents. like are they going to be kind to her or cruel?? is Juliette gonna be okay? how is she going to cope? and how is warner going to cope back home??!?!? he really cares about juliette (their breakup literally gave him a panic attack) and idk I’m really worried how this is going to affect him

- Warner’s ex. I don’t like calling other girls names (just a personal belief) but I will proudly say that she is a bitch. like I don’t have time for her and neiTHER DOES JULIETTE LMAO. the whole “you can call me the supreme commander of North America” thing had me dead. 

- Nazeera. She has me confused. I don’t really know how I feel about her. She seems like a really supportive and good wholesome character who is totally badass and a great influence on Juliette (not to mention a female friend). But it just seems too good to be true, you know? also, she’s got this whole mysterious aura about her, so what am I supposed to think?

- Anderson’s death. I also have mixed feelings about this. while I’m glad that asshole is dead, I’m worried about Warner. We see him in the book having conflicting feelings about this and I can really understand how that feels. I’m glad that Anderson is dead but I just hope Warner can learn to accept the part of himself that does, in fact, miss his father even after everything he did.

- okay so before restore me came out, there was this whole debate about whether Warner was a virgin or not at the time of Chapter 55. And while I’d like to believe he wasn’t because that’s what I originally thought and I don’t want to change that, I think differently now. I mean, he DID have an ex-girlfriend, and he DID say that things between them were “purely physical.” Plus, from Chapter 62 and 55 and all the other ones in Ignite Me, he seems too experienced. He had to have had practice at some point

- Warner knows how fly helicopters? well I guess you learn something new every day

- before the book came out, we were also told that someone else would see Warner’s scars besides Juliette. I, along with many others, was betting my money on Kenji because of the bromance I saw forming at the end of Ignite Me that also continued on in Restore Me. I kinda saw it coming so it wasn’t much of a shock to me but I’m really glad it happened. It definitely brings them closer as well as gives Kenji an insight into Warner’s true character and why he is the “psychopath” he thinks he is. It adds a deeper understanding between the two of them, I think

- lowkey mad at Tahereh for not letting the fandom live on in blissful peace with the end of Ignite Me but it’S FINE I GUESS

- I love that Kenji is flirting in this book. I love that Tahereh says he’ll get a love interest in a later book. He’s always talking about how hot is and I think he needs to put that to some good use. Plus I feel bad for him always third wheeling with warnette lol

- drunk Juliette. I have no other words

- LOOPY WARNER IS OFFICIALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE WARNERS

- I’m annoyed because someone shot Juliette with a poisoned bullet and it’s this huge thing for like two chapters but then Tahereh just forgets about it and never brings it up again. Like what???? leaving us in the dark like this smh

- who was the person that changed Ella’s name to Juliette and why didn’t they change Emmaline’s too? like ummm what is the reasoning behind that??

- who is on what side? I don’t know many of the characters motives and I’m almost certain that that’s intentional to add depth and mystery and suspense to the book but IDK MAN I DON’T LIKE NOT KNOWING WHAT’S GOING ON. I need to know everyone’s ulterior motives stAT

- why does Warner not consider any of the other commanders’ children friends? like yes true, many of them are assholes/untrustworthy but still. I feel like I’m missing something here???

- Why did Warner not remember Juliette/Ella from his childhood? like I get she’s several years older but you can always see the “childhood face” in someone. like their eyes and nose don’t change. Their face stays the same. Idk I feel like Warner would notice that, I mean, after all he is a very intelligent guy. Did someone erase his memories like Juliette’s??

- this one is a pretty obvious question but like............ who lived and who died at the end. pls someone confirm

- it said that a couple people were being dragged away and warner was being cuffed? like were they kidnapped too or just arrested and put into custody or something?

I think this is my last page of “things i need to touch on”. so I’ll give my overall review of the book. 

Overall, I did not like it. I was utterly disappointed, actually. The title has such a positive connotation and gives you the idea that good things will happen in this book, but no. Also, it feels like a bridge book and I’m not a fan of bridge books. Like it’s just a giant information dump and nothing really happens. It doesn’t feel like it’s the same series anymore. Her writing has changed and in my opinion not for the better. many other people have said that they didn’t like this book either and I completely agree. it’s not that good.

Yeah I feel like he definitely has ulterior motives to helping Voltron. I’m not sure what but it’s something. I want to believe he doesn’t. It could be that he comes in with ulterior motives but then once everyone opens up to him, he finally has a place where he feels he belongs. Best case scenario: allura pilots the white lion, Keith comes back, Keith and Lotor hit it off because the part galra thing, Lotor is converted to Voltron side, we find out who the real shiro, he grows his hair out again because he looks hot that way, and they get closer to defeating Zarkon. But Lotor will probs betray them at the end of the season just when they think they can trust him and everyone will be like “man, we were dumb.”

liza soberano . ––––– was that leilana de león i just saw in new orleans? the 1000+ year old original hybrid who doesn’t look a day past twenty? apparently, they are here for the crystals, but who knows? they’re known to be intuitive & charismatic, but don’t let that fool you, because they can also be deceitful & selfish, so keep an eye out for them ; you never know who you can trust.

she was born in the 11th century to a small tribe on an island that would later be known as the phillippines. she was the youngest of five children, with all of her siblings being brothers. her mother died while giving birth to her so she was pretty resented by the rest of her family, to say the least. for awhile, she never had a real name; her father and brothers would just call her sumpa, which means “curse”. that’s all she was to them, the curse who’d ripped away their wife and mother. at the age of 16, her village was raided by vikings and she, along with many other people in her tribe, were taken and sold off as slaves. she’d spent four years in a constant cycle of being bought and then being sold again. she was always someone else’s property, never her own person. 

her whole life changed when she met agnus megalos. the witch treated her with kindness and compassion, things that the young girl very rarely had the fortune of experiencing. agnus offered her many things;  shelter, food, and even a family, but most of all, freedom. the idea of all the power that came with vampirism seduced the girl who’d been beaten and battered down all her life; this was her chance to become someone who’d no longer have to be anyone’s slave. and so of course, she agreed. after her transition, the newborn vampire finally gave herself a name: leilana de león. leilana promised herself that this girl she was now would never again be the nameless, weak shell she’d once inhabited.

with that being said, she hated having to stay in the shadows for so long. it made her feel weak. leilana never understood why she and her fellow originals had to stay under the radar, they were the most powerful creatures walking the earth, why should they? just like how she was with her father and brothers, leilana stayed the black sheep even within the original family. she always wanted more than what she knew was possible but despite her constant quarreling with them, leilana stayed by their side for centuries. they were her real family, she couldn’t imagine a day where she could ever leave them. 

after they stumbled upon new orleans, it didn’t take long for leilana to fall in love with city. this was the place where she and her family really settled down and lived their lives like they should. everything was perfect for awhile; she got whatever she wanted, ruled the city like she was its queen, and had the pleasure of sharing all of the glory with the family she adored so much. but of course, all that power just wasn’t enough. she and another original were finally able to release their suppressed werewolf sides, becoming the first of their kind, a hybrid. however, the success of their feat was short-lived. the werewolf rebellion happened and a fellow original died, and for that, leilana will never forgive herself. she consistently blames herself for maddox’s death, thinking that maybe if she’d just pushed away her need for more power, that piece of her family would still be here. 

the separation of the originals took a heavy toll on leilana. they were the only people who truly knew her, the only ones who she knew she could go to for anything. they’d stayed by each other’s side for centuries and without them, leilana felt alone. and leilana being on her own was not a good thing, especially after the death of a fellow original. her family has been the only people known to be able to control her, without them, leilana is a ticking time bomb. after they parted ways, she went off the rails. she traveled the world and left wakes of bodies everywhere she went. she went through dozens of lovers, turned so many people, and tried to drown away her sorrows with meaningless companionships. her grief began to numb itself out over time but the guilt never seems to go away. after hearing about the crystals, leilana wasted no time in returning to new orleans. the crystals themselves were intriguing, yes, but the hopes of seeing her family again was an even bigger reason for her to come back she’s not gonna admit it tho because #hugeego

now after all that shazam on her history, let’s talk a little about how she acts. alright so first thing’s first, don’t let all that mushy gushy stuff about her family get to you, leilana is a ruthless son of a bitch who has no problem killing anyone(except her bros and sisses duh). she is not generally a compassionate person, all of that emotion is saved for those who she ACTUALLY cares about. she may seem friendly at first but 9 times out of 10, she has an ulterior motive. all that charm and smiles ?? nah son, don’t even fall for that bc she is the definition of a Terrible Friend™. like no fr, she’ll be like “aye wassup wassgud” then you’ll be like “aye wassup wassgud” but then BAM she ends up stealing your man or something smh. she also has problems with authority ??? after having been owned by several people as a human, leilana just has an issue when it comes to answering to other people. oh and also, #grudgeholder, #shorttemper, #backstabberaf. she’s basically an ill tempered, whiny child hiding behind a friendly facade ??
