ALTERED SKY : Mencoba Perkenalkan Musik Ke Seluruh Dunia

Altered Sky terkenal dengan musik up beat mereka, selain itu unsur punk juga sangat identik dengan musik yang mereka buat. Terbentuk sejak tahun 2010, band ini telah bermain di berbagai panggung, mulai dari yang kecil hingga ke luar negeri. Upaya tersebut tampaknya membuahkan hasil, massa dan fan base mereka kini semakin bertambah.

Sejauh ini mereka telah bermain di beberapa panggung bersama We Are The In Crowd di the Liquid Rooms, Edinburgh, menjadi salah satu band pembuka di Slam Dunk Scotland 2014. Band ini juga telah sepanggung dengan The Wonder Years, Decade, State Champs, A Loss For Words, The La Fontaines and Neck Deep. Keempat single mereka; Bury It All, Waves, Stupid in the Dark dan Livewire telah dirilis dalam bentuk album, musik dan video klip mereka juga telah diputar di Kerrang radio dan Scuzz TV secara berkala. Tahun ini single mereka "Bury it All” juga masuk dalam album kompilasi Music for Brighter Day 8.2 yang berisikan puluhan band dari Indonesia dan beberapa negara di seluruh Dunia.

Tahun ini Altered Sky telah menggelar tur albumnya di UK dan berhasil memecahkan rekor jumlah audiens mereka sebelumnya. Mereka juga menjadi headliner di beberapa gelaran musik di kota mereka salah satunya adalah Show at the garage di Glasgow, lebih dari 500 fans menghadiri acara ini pada musim semi ini. Desember nanti mereka juga akan menjadi band pendukung untuk konser The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus di Glasgow.

Selain itu mereka juga melakukan program ‘edu-tour’ ke sekolah dan kampus di daerah mereka Eddinburg yakni mereka melakukan tur dengan penampilan akustik dan memberikan seminar mengenai industri musik, hal yang pastinya sangat menginspirasi untuk generasi muda dan bisa menjadi teladan untuk band-band lainnya untuk bukan hanya melakukan penampilan musik namun juga memberikan edukasi yang bermanfaat.

Menjelang akhir tahun 2017 band ini menggelar tour Asia yakni di Thailand dan Jepang semuanya dilakukan secara independen dengan dukungan dari managemen mereka Reaction Management. Menurut mereka hal ini adalah sebuah ambisi terbesar mereka untuk bisa manggung di negara lain. Tak tanggung-tanggung sepanjang bulan September dan Oktober mereka melakukan tur di 11 titik berbeda di Filipina dan menutup tur mereka di Jepang dengan melakukan tur di 8 titik berbeda.

Jay Burnet yang merupakan Manager Altered Sky dan juga sebagai pihak dari Reaction Management, mengatakan bahwa sepertinya tur Asian mereka ini adalah tur yang paling sukses yang pernah mereka lakukan sepanjang band terbentuk, karena saat ini mereka telah memiliki lebih banyak fans di Filipina daripada fans mereka di seluruh Britania Raya.
