basically ronan's powers are inherited from his dead father niall and it means he can bring anything from a dream into real life. so he's got this whole crisis about whether he is a living piece of blasphemy because men are not meant to have the powers of gods or whether he literally is god. which is not acceptable to him for a number of reasons but mostly because he hates himself. his love interest's name is adam and adam lives in a small apartment above a church which the book says focuses the objects of his worship neatly into one building. I love them both dearly. also, this entire page makes me feel like I'm going insane. Ronan Lynch believed in heaven and hell. Once, he’d seen the devil. It had been a low, late morning at the Barns when the sun had burned off the mist and then burned off the chill and then burned the edges off the ground until everything shimmered with heat. It never got hot in those protected fields, but that morning, the air sweated with it. Ronan had never seen cattle pant before. gansey, ronan, henry, and noah make up the (pop punk?/alt rock?) band Kings of Henrietta.

ronan plays lead guitar. he’s the son of legendary irish rockstar niall lynch and also ex lead guitarist of the boyband the lynch brothers. he plays a seven-string ibanez xiphos in black flat (VERY sexy guitar VERY difficult). its name is chainsaw. he has perfect pitch. he’s also very, very irish

gansey’s lead vocals and rhythm guitar. he grew up hollywood royalty but was never really interested in acting, just did it because it was expected of him. his exodus from the film industry in order to be in a band was originally widely considered a long shot but now. well. one of the most famous bands in the world and all that. he plays an obnoxiously orange gretsch jet that fans have dubbed “the pig”.

henry’s bass and backup vocals. he’s the heir to two tech fortunes but ran off to be a musician and was a solo artist for a few years before the formation of KOH (think yungblud). he has a classic rocker haircut, he’s openly queer, he’s a weirdgirl fashion icon. he plays a custom made electric blue fender precision with lightning detailing. he calls it “madonna” but this name has yet to catch on

noah plays drums (and also provides vocals on occasion if the occasion is screaming). his parents are music producers, his sister adele is also in the industry. he breaks at least one drum stick per show and tosses it into the pit. hardcore fans can and will fight for it.

they are SO fucking famous. like taylor swift 95m monthly spotify listeners famous. like people recognize ronan just from his hair like eminem famous. about to leave on one of the longest world tours ever famous. it is INSANE how famous they are.

they all met at aglionby and often played together but didn’t form a band until after niall lynch’s murder and the disbanding of the lynch brothers. there’s a few years gap between graduating aglionby and the formation of KOH

some circles still believe ronan killed his own father however they are very few and far between. WHATEVER

blue grew up in a house full of musicians. she can play pretty much anything under the sun but prefers drums and guitar. she went to juilliard on scholarship, which is where she met adam

adam did not grow up playing music with his family. he grew up learning it in secret. he cannot play everything however he is a VERY quick learner out of sheer willpower. he graduated high school as valedictorian and immediately got the fuck out of there to go to juilliard (also on scholarship). he and blue were inseparable almost immediately

they moved in together after graduation and blue took him home to henrietta when the rent started to get a little too high. they officially formed their band page of wands in blue’s room at 300 fox way

“page of wands” merges both of their symbolic tarot cards together (page of cups + magician). did i mention blue was raised pagan? she was. as to be expected. anyways.

virtually unknown indie rock band page of wands posts a cover of a KOH song. they do not expect KOH to see it. they also do not expect KOH to return the favor in front of tens of thousands of people. KOH does it anyways. because gansey is ENAMORED. he is SO FAR GONE.

Okay, I'm finally putting my thoughts down. They're not super nuanced, but this was how I felt about Greywaren

Spoilers below (and feel free to pass this by)

I liked Greywaren. I thought it was a fine book and I was emotional about it. I'm sad the series is over and after having read it and listened to it, giving myself some time to process and write some fic, I am left wanting.

I definitely have thoughts about Maggie's original ideas for the series and I could speculate until the cows come home about how the original outlines for the books affected what was published.

Greywaren felt a lot like she just wanted to be done and I get that, but it left for some slim pickings and a lot of unanswered questions.

What I liked: Ronan getting to see the people he loves and cares about from an outside perspective. Ronan is always in his own head about people's motivations, I think he needed to see things for what they were, rather than how he saw them. All of the scenes with Ronan and Adam, as well as Declan and Jordan. Hennessy coming into her own. The scene with her and Carmen and the index cards was incredible. Declan's moment to shine and having his John Wick moment lmao Also Matthew punching Declan! Cathartic! The snakeskin tattoo. The HEA

What I didn't like: The Brothers Lynch not talking about the Mor/Aurora, Niall/New Fenian situation and how that affects all of them, as well as just, like, some on page forgiveness. I just had such a hard time with the epilogue. I wanted more! I wanted to know what Declan and Jordan were up to in MA, I wanted to know what Ronan and Adam did when they got to VA (like, reconciling and recovering together). I wanted to see Adam talking to the Crying Club and dropping out of Harvard. Where did Hennessy go off to? Are she and Carmen officially together? I also hated Nathan and that whole thing, it felt weird, and vaguely racist kinda'? I wanted to know more about the Lace. There's more, I'm sure, but those are the big ones.

Overall, it was just bittersweet, and I wish the book had been more substantial than it was. I wouldn't NOT recommend it but it left me feeling a bit bereft.

even in another time (Damen/Laurent - Captive Prince) On holiday with his brother in Ios, Laurent bathes in a hot spring. Unfortunately, he drowns. Even more unfortunately, when he surfaces somehow, he finds himself thrust back in time. Dropped into the middle of a mythologised ancient war for the Akielon throne, he is determined to get back to the modern day - even after ending up kidnapped (or perhaps rescued) by the rightful King, Damianos.

there is no end (Damen/Laurent - Captive Prince) After the events of even in another time, Laurent and Damen take the opportunity to go on a trip—a honeymoon of sorts—to the modern world. Brothers are met, books are launched, and another first is experienced.

in the crooks of your body, i find my religion (Adam/Ronan - The Dreamer Trilogy) Under the watchful eye of a nosy bartender, Ronan Lynch has a first date with Adam Parrish. It isn't exactly what he had been expecting.

I know what WOULD be my highest kudos, if I still had all my fic on AO3. But I don't, so this is how it is hahaha

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

This is where my answer is the complete opposite to ilgaksu's, almost. I used to be a lot better at it. I would really try to write something in response to every comment, even on multichap fics. But my life has changed, and my health has changed, and sometimes it isn't always feasible. I find the AO3 inbox sort of unwieldy and it's hard for me to navigate sometimes. I find it much easier to respond to asks on tumblr, which is why I also try to encourage readers to find me here too. Fic writing can feel sort of one-sided and demanding at times, especially when you've put many hours of work and thought into something and people just... absorb it, and don't even say thanks.

I personally don't read fic much (I'm a hypocrite, I know) but on the rare occasion I'm in the mood for it, I try to leave a comment. And I do really try to respond to, if not every individual comment, then every commenter in some capacity.

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't write angsty endings. I have previously done oneshots with purposefully open/unresolved endings, but I wouldn't consider those angsty.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Without a doubt even in another time. Even comparing to my old fics, which all had pretty joyful romcom endings on the whole, this one is like... epic happy ending. Just everything about claiming yourself as a person, recognising your own strengths, finding your destiny, eternal love... it had it all!

Do you get hate on fics?

Nah. I've had some comments that were like, proofreading/editing suggestions. Once someone literally commented like "you really need to proofread before you post" lmao it was some meaningless oneshot, I was like, I'm literally not here for perfection right now. Sometimes it's a genuinely helpful correction (factual error, a glaring mistake) in which case, have at it, but mostly I don't want it and it can actually be quite hurtful. BUT I wouldn't consider that hate, just sort of... well-intentioned but still unwanted overstepping.

I did receive an anonymous comment that told me to stop posting forever and disappear, with a strong suggestion that I should just die. That was actually unrelated to my fics, and was motivated by some of my posts on tumblr getting popular in fandom and some people getting really upset with me. Rather than asking me to clarify my points (which they had misinterpreted), or just blocking me, they made posts about me and sent me some quite harassing anons on here, and left that really horrible comment on one of my most popular fics. So I deleted them all, and deleted all content from that fandom from my blog, and didn't write fic (or anything at all) for a really long time. I don't get actively involved with fandom because of that experience. It certainly wasn't unique to that particular fandom - I see it happening now, and even worse - but it really fucked me up. I still have a hard time enjoying the source material it was related to, and I really don't like talking about those fics or that fandom.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. I didn't in the past, and when I did it was sort of... ambiguous, fade-to-black type stuff, because that was what I thought fit those fandoms or what I was writing (mostly romcoms) in a tonal sense. But now I'm writing for CaPri, which is historical erotic romance, so I'm unleashing it all. Really leaning into something I like to call "character development through erotica" lmao

Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Nope! They don't really interest me.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge. However, I am aware that there is a downloaded copy of one of my old popular fics being circulated without my permission. It made me very uncomfortable when I found out. I wish they had asked me first. But I've decided to be super I do not see it. I can't read suddenly about it all.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, not that I know of! I'm so open to it though <3

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Controversial but I think my favourite ships are the ones I love so much that I'm too scared to write them. I tried writing some Eve/Villanelle and it just didn't feel correct. I would do SUCH a shit job of writing Buffy/Faith. There are more and I'm so intimidated by people who do them well.

What’s a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I actually don't not finish fics lmaoooo

So even on my previous AO3 account, I always finished a multichap fic. And now, my new approach is to finish writing before posting (or almost finish writing before posting). [hoards of fic writers booing in the distance]

What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue. Humour. Character voice. Awareness of tone, extending into genre awareness.

What are your writing weaknesses?

PLOTTING. PACING. Fuck me I just have no perspective on the passage of time more often than not. Describing action/movement. Consistency (my memory is not the best sometimes, so I easily forget details between scenes, but that's solved by an astute beta and solid proofreading/editing). OVER EXPLANATION.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Hmmm I don't know. On the fence. It probably depends on the context, if the POV character speaks the language, what the purpose of the other language is, etc. etc.

First fandom you wrote for?

I think it was The Raven Cycle, and then Captain America, and then the bulk of my stuff was for a webcomic/graphic novel.

Favorite fic you’ve written?

It has to be EIAT, without question. It was my first time writing in a sustained way since around 2019 (due to illness and then treatment), and came to represent a recovery at long last from residual chemo brain. Even if it weren't indulgent, and even if I wasn't proud of the writing (baby's first fantasy work! With world-building! And a bona fide plot!), it would still be my favourite for that reason alone. But I think it's going to be usurped by my current WIP, a gothic romance AU (also partially inspired by Crimson Peak! And other stuff, but yesss Crimson Peak!) in which I am including everything I love about gothic fiction, and then some.

re: your ongoing struggle of people mistaking your oc aran for other guys - i actually *did* post fanart of tanaka from hq before and he also got tagged as ronan lynch. one time, mild thing compared to your experience but seems like people really can not tell guys with a buzzcut apart, no matter how much context you give them (or even write it out in the tags)

Hahahah yes the struggle is real! And it’s really just the hair and personal bias. Like people see what they want to see.

I have the same with Tao. Just because of his long hair he gets called Asahi from haikyuu or Eren from aot or any other random dude who just hs longer hair, even though they have nothing else in common!

It’s annoying!

And I know I’m being extra petty! But personal characters just mean so much and as much as I love that people can relate to them to or even see something familiar in them that makes them love them, it’s kinda odd to get all those comparisons when there is nothing else but a similar haircut.

And it’s especially annoying when those false hashtags under my art spread and then I get hate comments because I apparently drew some random anime guy totally wrong… when it’s just my oc! And yes this has happened before. So I try as soon as I see that someone tags Aran or Tao under another character to set it straight so it doesn’t spread.

ok yay :) i literally neeeeeed to talk about it in relation to other books i’ve read recently so that’s what i’m gonna do here i heart making every book a conversation with each other… so you’ll all have to forgive me for comparing call me by your name to the dream thieves of raven cycle fame but i need to. its a comparison that literally begs to be spoken about. to me. i also need to compare it to the secret history and the sun and the star and most importantly. well we all saw the timeless video. we need to get into that as well!!

obviously what sets it apart from all of my genre bullshit is that it is NOT genre bullshit, like it's just set in italy 1983 in the normal universe. which made it one of the most unique books i've read this year to be honest and real.... i have NOT been reading normal ass books... earlier i compared elio's narration to the great gatsby but i literally have just only read very few real world narrative novels i've got gatsby, richard, and this i guess. i'm working on it though!

anyway it was veryyy richard core in the sense that it's being narrated from some point in the future where elio is reflecting on that summer and oliver and what it meant to his life at large, where richard does the same thing with narrating his time at college with his greek class and bunny's murder. reflecting on two very different things unless you wanna look at it with the keen eye of a total nutcase and then i could say that they're both simply reflecting on what it was like to be seen and known by someone who turned out to not be what you hoped and you didn't end up with him despite it all. richard papen you would have loveddd call me by your name... wow. elio pearlman you would have loved the secret history...

i ALSO only wanted to talk about it in relation to the sun and the star because they’re both like. ok Gay Representation is not a genre but they’re both books about gay people that i read recently so like. yeah. it’s crazy how glaring the difference between those two books is for things that both get tagged “lgbtq+” on storygraph or however many of those letters that website uses idk. like one of them is clearly written so some dude could pat himself on the back for giving the kiddos Representation in his stupid ass franchise and the other is just some fuckass book written by a totalllll freak that happens to be about gay people. in essence one made me so mad to read and the other was fine. i would never go so far as to describe a man’s work as great though. chappell roan voice i don’t think men make good art. !!! and i really believe that sorry. when a man impresses me i will let you all know but it is very rare…

which brings us to the timeless video. for everyone who somehow missed that that means (you’re fake btw 🙄) the timeless video is an amv i made last summer when i wanted to make an amv for my guys from my books but obviously they’re from books. so what i did instead was gather a bunch of characters from movies and shows that reminded me of MY guys and edit them to taylor swift’s timeless. because it’s like. other lives and i see them in everything. anyway so elio and oliver made it into the timeless video despite all the sort of mean stuff i’ve said about oliver lately (not even my fault he fuckin sucks btw) and the fact that their relationship is not like. Endgame. BECAUSE of my favorite scene. from the movie not the book. this scene was lame as hell in the book it’s the part that made me go wow i think perhaps the film is much better!! the “is it better to speak or to die” scene… i talked about it earlier but genuinely that happened to my buddy kit herondale…. and then he said something and it didn’t go very well!!!!

Your Ronan Lynch as dog coded makes absolute sense. Considering Declan or kavinsky (?) literally called him that. Plus his whole thing is his unwavering loyalty to Gansey which then extends to Blue. And that time he crashed Ganseys car or the time he was worried about being left behind by him. Or how does the Adam fit into this? Oh oh I think Pete’s like one step behind on Ronan on this. Kavinsky, Declan, AND Adam call Ronan a dog at some point. It's always in reference to his aggressive and violent behavior — specifically as an effect of his loyalty to Gansey. He's a goddamn mad dog.

Ronan embodies a rabid dog with loyalty to a fault. People interpret Gansey as being in control of him, but he's not — Ronan cannot be controlled. Everything Ronan does is because Gansey is his best friend and he loves him. Gansey cannot control the things Ronan does for love — he just tries to minimize the damage. Ronan chooses to behave this way.

Pete, on the other hand, is not really in charge of his behavior. He follows orders. He's been with the major family for years and is extremely loyal to them. He's obedient — under their control — but no less deadly. It's unclear whether he's actually happy in this role, but he sure is good at it.

When Vegas captures him, he treats Pete like a dog to the extreme. This doesn't break Pete, because he's used to it. He's been a dog for years.

Like he's literally chained up and forced to eat from a dog bowl. He's dog-coded by the narrative and he accepts it — because that's all he thinks he's good for.

When Vegas finally enables him to let go — to want something for himself — Pete's narrative arc is about not being a pet anymore.

"But wait, Theo! Pete's whole thing is that he's Vegas's pet. He begs Vegas to treat him that way!"

Yes and no. Vegas makes Pete realize that he wants more than being a dog bodyguard — specifically, he wants Vegas. He wants to feel the way Vegas makes him feel. He quits his job with the main family. He's still loyal, but he wants his own life.

At the same time, Pete is forced to come to the realization that he's only received Vegas's attention and love while being treated like a pet. Pete will continue to be a pet if that's the only way he can belong to Vegas. For him, it's better than nothing. He wants whatever Vegas will give him.

In the end, Vegas tells Pete that he loves him back. He wants more from their relationship. Pete isn't a pet to him.

What's more, Pete isn't here out of obligation. He's here because he loves Vegas. He's following his heart — not anyone's orders.

Pete is put into a dog-coded role, and his character arc is about breaking out of that role to find love, self-actualization, and fulfillment. He's the opposite of a character who's a dog by choice!

Riku/Sora (Kingdom Hearts) - KH is the game that got me into video games, and inspired me all the way to getting my current job in game dev, and Riku is at the heart of why I love the games so much. But I had to put Sora too, because one without the other just doesn't work. Without Riku, Sora couldn't have his arc of "I want to be better than Riku" to "I want to be better with Riku". And for Riku, his transition from dark & edgy to chosen keyblade weilder all ties back to how he looked down on Sora, then tried to make up for his mistakes, and finally trusted and loved Sora completely. They complete each other and challenge each other to grow and become better at every turn. Also their reunion in 2 absolutely ruins me every time. Sora crying on his knees will be burned in my brain forever.

Zack Fair (FFVII) - Crisis Core was at one point the only game that would work on my PSP lol. But I didn't need any other games because Zack the puppy was everything to me. Watching him struggle with the morality of being a SOLDIER, all while desperately trying to protect his friends and failing at every turn...that shit hurts, and yet he keeps his smile and honor right up til the end. He is THE sunshine boy of sunshine boys and I could gush about him all day long. His scenes in Advent Children destroy me.

Oikawa Tooru (Haikyuu) - the real blorbo of my heart, the bitch I latched onto and will love to the end of my days. His ability to take even a team of strangers and lead them flawlessly within just a few minutes is so admirable. He knows exactly how to bring out the best in everyone on the court. It hurts me to this day that he never got to wreck Shiratorizawa before he graduated (also that moment where he falls and slips in season 2 uggghhhhh) but jokes on them because he's the one who got an honorable position on an irl team!! I get some people call him an insufferable asshole but thats exactly why I like him! Let characters be insufferable!!!!! Its fun!!!!! And besides, when it comes down to it, he's genuinely a good person who wants everyone on his team to be involved and be their best. Love of my life. No Oikawa haters allowed on my blog.

Pitch Black/Kozmotis Pitchiner (RoTG) - basically since the movie came out I have been ready with a "Pitch did nothing wrong" speech at all times. I feel like I don't even really have to explain this one, I mean....yall get it. You know why we're all still here, loving him and the Guardians to the end of our days. I will say, though - idc if it's book version or movie version, my love for this asshole remains the same.

Nico di Angelo (Percy Jackson) - ah, the original blorbo. The queer awakening for so many people even before he was out in the books. This is another "I love him because he's kinda rude" character. His hatred towards other characters is always warranted tbh, because they ostracize him for?? No good reason at all???? No one wants to or tries to be his friend in heros of olympus for the first four books (except Hazel, who practically has to force others to talk to him) and it pisses me off to no end. Percy spent battle of the labyrinth hunting him down, but would he have been so dedicated if he wasn't getting the iris messages??? Doubt it. Anyway. I adore Nico, he deserved better, and I'm so glad he's got a wonderful bf and his own book now. I will never get tired of him and I really hope the tv series goes well so he can finally come to life in live action ♡

@polaroidcats tagged me to share share my 9 favourite books, and of course I went through at least three different identiy crises before I finally decided to just choose what feels right this very moment. I still had a lot of fun going back to all of them, so, thank you! <3

Krabat: Hands down one of my all-time favourites. I first read it in 5th ot 6th grade and it was also the best experience of reading a book at school ever. I've read it countless times by now and am thinking about reading it again right now because I find something in it every single time.

The House in the Cerulean Sea: Single-handedly reminded me of my love for Urban Fantasy, the romance is just so soft, and just. Outcasts finding family in each other is something that makes me very emotional when it's done well.

Boyfriend Material: One of my comfort book I return to a lot. It might not have a groundbreaking story or anything, but I love the characters and their dynamic so much. This is also one of the very few cases where the audio book makes it even better imo, because the guy reading it does Oliver's voice so well. <3

Peter Darling: I was waiting for YEARS until this book was available again, and it was worth every second. One thing you have to know about me is that I have this weird obsession with Peter Pan, but especially retellings of the original story. And queer retellings that are also done really well? YES.

American Gods: I had to include something by Neil Gaiman, and this is not only the first of his books I ever read, it's also got one of my favourite concepts. Stories and believes shaping reality? Hell yes!

Dream Thieves: The whole series gave me unrealistic expectations for YA, but this will forever be my favourite part, you'll have to fight me and my son Ronan Lynch on that. It's also been one of my comfort series to come back to when I need it.

The Travelling Cat Chronicles: I cried. This is not only beautifully written and speaking to me as a cat person, but it's also a beautiful journey through Japan.

We Are Everywhere: It's not even my own country's history, but oh wow, I love what they captured with this one, especially since it feels like more and more of queer history gets lost/forgotten as time moves on.

A Man Called Ove: I pretty much love every book by Fredrik Backman I've read so far. There's just something about how he writes people, emotions, and human connections that gets to me every time? I was wondering for a while which one I should choose here, but this one feels particularly special right now, idk.

Several scenarios had run through Adam’s mind and there were contingency plans for all of them. 

Ronan hadn’t dreamt anything unsavory or unwanted in years but that didn’t mean that it couldn’t still happen. Adam always liked being prepared. 

He wasn’t even really worried about what the situation in and of itself was. He was more worried about Ronan . His tenderhearted husband was also a badass, but he wasn’t a murderer. 

Adam had long ago made the decision that he would be more than willing to take on that burden if it ever came to it. He didn’t worry much about hell or damnation or anything like that. He would do whatever he had to to protect Ronan. 

Adam called out again. “Ronan!”

RONAN LYNCH IN A TIME LOOP SAY MORE AT ONCE (but only if you want to no pressure the all caps is just my enthusiasm and also my brain being broken by those tags and that concept)

apologies in advance for what this turned into <3

so for context of me personally i absolutely adore a timeloop au in any context in general like there is something so funky so fresh about the whole idea of a guy getting worn down by time while everyone around him is experiencing something for the first time?? to be so jaded but still have to wait for the other people to go through surprise/shock at something that's already gotten old for the guy who's seen it more times than they can count????

so that's already delicious but Most Specifically i am a fan of the version of the time loop that is "a guy who has to go back and re-do the worst thing that ever happened over and over until they fix it" both from the perspective of (a) the lingering doubt of no matter what they change does it ever actually make a difference? is there anything that could be done that would Matter enough or is fate always going to lead them to the same place and we are doomed to repeat our mistakes ect ect but also (b) the thing about the worst thing that ever happened to a guy is that uhhh it sucks? like having to relive any period of time repeatedly is already concerning but when it's a moment that fundamentally defined the subsequent period of life ? to have so much urgency but still be repeatedly brought back to square one !!! and to have to see that worst thing over and over and knowing they failed !!!!!!!!!!!! terrible !!!!!

and if that wasn't already a bucket of laughs the most very absolute worst part is always when the person has to waste so much of their very limited time the loop resets and then they're all alone again??? to not have one person in the entire world who understands what they're going through and to have any progress they've made immediately get undone, but to do it all again anyways because fuck what other choice is there ??

all of this to say. ronan lynch. bc i'm not sure if you noticed by now but these freaks are literally all ride or die for each other from MINUTE ONE like ronan walked up and said hey i pulled this bird out of my dreams and no one blinked? like mild spoiler the third book and holy fuck especially the fourth one really lean into the?? fantasy side of things?? kind of?? (it will make sense in retrospect i promise) but never not one single page are any of these books about them not believing each other. there is an inherent irrevocable acceptance that when one of them has A Problem it is Their Problem and that's part of the reason they are soooo <333333

but yeah you'd damn better believe if ronan sat down and told those freaks this was his 18th wednesday in a row they would believe him without question or cause there would be none of that wasting time on that stupid trope of "ronan knowing everything the other person's about to say and that's why they believe him" nonsense. they are his family and they are fundamentally there for one another when it matters. when it doesn't matter. everything in between.

so ronan's time loop is just immediately about the finding solutions part??? about gansey sneaking Meaningful Glances at adam across the table because they both know ronan's more unhinged about this than he's letting on. maybe blue convinces them to go to fox way to ask maura and calla and persephone to read his future and the first time blue has ever seen those women look Genuinely Scared is when they have to tell him point blank that they don't see one. not that it's blurry or that the signs are unclear but that ronan lynch fundamentally does not have anything other than the Now.

ronan lynch the dreamer the dreamed afraid to go to sleep not because of what he can do when he dreams but because this time being awake is the scary part??? because he doesn't know where or when he'll be when he wakes up???? to have something so. core to who he is. be so fractured. and his family not really being able to help but being so willing to try anyway????
